Evan: You awake?
Amanda: Please talk a little more softly, ok?
Evan: You got a world-class hangover.
Amanda: Thank you very, very much for telling me that.
Evan: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Amanda: I'm the one sitting here with tom-toms being played in my head, and you're sorry.
Evan: Ok, all right. I'll shut up, then.
Amanda: How could I drink so much champagne on an empty stomach? I mean, how could I be so stupid?
Evan: You were hammered, that's for sure.
Amanda: I didnít do anything embarrassing, did I?
Evan: Well, let's see. There were no lampshades on the head, no wild dancing on table tops, no "Melancholy baby!" Actually, you were very charming.
Amanda: Well, you were quite a gentleman.
Evan: Now, how would you know that?
Amanda: I know that. And I'm very grateful.
Evan: Amanda, when we make love, we'll both know exactly what we're doing.
Man: And then you and Mr. Blake took the red swan and went home, huh?
Rachel: No, I took Mr. Blake home, and then I went home.
Man: With the swan?
Man: Ok. Why donít you just look this over and sign the bottom there?
Rachel: Mm-hmm. It looks accurate. You've been very thorough.
Man: Yeah, well, some of these pieces still donít fit, but I guess I'm going to have to be patient.
Rachel: Are you through with me now, Captain?
Captain: Yes, and thanks very much. Oh, and I'm glad you got your sculpture back.
Rachel: So am I. There is one more thing.
Rachel: I know you would prefer facts rather than instincts.
Captain: You got an instinct for me?
Rachel: Lucas. I think he knows more about this than he's letting on.
Captain: What are you saying, that Lucas took the swan?
[Answering machine beeps]
Lucas' voice: Josie, honey, if we're going to do this, it has to be tonight. Oh, I arranged it so we have the video loft all to ourselves. So donít let me down. Ok?
Josie: What are you doing listening to my messages?
Derek: What do you think?
Stacey: I -- I'm too stunned to think.
Stacey: Yeah. But how did you get in here? Where's Dr. Jasper?
Derek: He's out of town. He's out of the country. You know, we have the whole place to ourselves.
Stacey: Look at this. I still donít understand. How -- how did you do all of this? I mean, who did you --
Derek: Shh. You ask too many questions.
Sharlene: The light was blinking, Josie.
Josie: I canít believe you would do that.
Sharlene: Honey, I thought it might be important.
Josie: Well, it is.
Sharlene: So then tell me about it.
Josie: Lucas wants to help me win the fresh faces. You know that.
Sharlene: Yeah, I know that. And what does that mean, "if we're going to do this thing"?
Josie: He -- he wants to help me with my style. He's going to videotape me.
Sharlene: Lucas is doing that personally? Tonight?
Josie: It's important.
Sharlene: Jos, the rehearsal. Surely he can reschedule.
Josie: This is the only time he has available.
Sharlene: Oh. Oh, right, Josie.
Josie: It is!
Sharlene: You are my maid of honor! You have to be there!
Josie: I'm very lucky that Lucas is even willing to do this in the first place.
Sharlene: Josie, this is my wedding. You're going to tell him you canít come, aren't you?
Frankie: Oh -- oh, this is rich.
Matt: Aha, see? This is turning into "the twilight zone."
Jamie: Found the groom out there pitching hay.
Frankie: And the bride and the maid of honor are standing around shooting the breeze.
Jamie: You guys are supposed to be ready by now!
Matt: For a hay ride.
Frankie: What is with you guys?
Matt: Well, obviously, they're very cool about the whole situation.
Frankie: Well, you are not supposed to be cool and above it all. You are supposed to be frantic and hysterical and dressed, at least.
Jamie: I'm beginning to think that we're imagining this whole thing. Are you sure there's going to be a wedding tomorrow?
Frankie: Now, get going.
Get going. Go. Hurry.
Sharlene: Frankie, Frankie --
Frankie: I donít want to hear about it.
Sharlene: We donít have to be at the rehearsal for, what --
Frankie: For half an hour, and you're still in your jeans.
Sharlene: All right.
John: Haven't you heard? We're starting a new trend -- the blue denim wedding.
Frankie: Oh, that's really funny.
Matt: Hey, are you ok?
Josie: Yeah, I guess.
Matt: Josie, what's wrong?
Josie: Nothing. Nothing, I'm fine.
Sharlene: Josie? What are you doing?
Josie: I'm getting ready for the rehearsal. Isnít that what you want?
Lucas: Heard what you said about me, Rachel.
Rachel: Nothing I wouldnít say to your face.
Lucas: I just wish you could trust me.
Rachel: I wish I could, too.
Lucas: Well, I hope someday you and I can be friends like Mac and I were.
Rachel: There you go again. That's what I'm talking about. This apocryphal friendship you had with my husband? You keep implying things, Lucas, but you donít show me any proof. Excuse me.
Captain: I'd like to ask a few questions, Lucas.
Lucas: What questions are they?
Captain: Well, mostly about the red swan. What about Catherine March's death, too?
Lucas: Well, that's fine. I'm willing to cooperate.
Captain: And you donít want a lawyer present?
Lucas: No, no, that wonít necessary.
Captain: Good. Will you just have a seat, please?
Lucas: Sure. Fanny, you donít have to wait.
Felicia: I will.
Rachel: I'm surprised to see you here with Lucas.
Felicia: I'm concerned about him.
Rachel: Felicia, he's changed. He's not that young boy that needed a break on Gold Street.
Felicia: No, he's not that kid. Now he's a successful man that everybody is trying to cut down.
Rachel: Oh, come on.
Felicia: From the day he got here, Rachel, it's been open season on Lucas.
Rachel: Are you saying that he's not responsible for provoking any of this?
Felicia: I canít really expect you to understand him the way I do.
Mitch: And you donít know anyone by the name of Ken Jordan? Do you know any other Jordanís? No, no, I was just trying to -- no, that's ok. Thank you. Thank you.
[Knock on door]
Sam: Hey, bro.
Mitch: What are you doing down here?
Sam: Oh, I thought I'd check up on your war wounds. Rachel told me about that little soiree you had down on the docks. Did he clip you one?
Mitch: Oh, yeah. Blindsided me. Another couple of inches -- who knows, I might not have a head.
Mitch: Yeah, slightly. Nice headache and a lump.
Mitch: It's all right. I'm -- I'm fine. Come on in.
Mitch: Actually, I need some advice.
Sam: Now, that is a switch. Usually I'm the one asking for advice.
Mitch: Well, something's been bothering me, and I guess I -- I guess I need to talk to someone.
Sam: I'm listening.
Mitch: I didnít tell Rachel everything that happened the other night.
Sam: You didnít?
Mitch: No. The way she's been, I thought it would be best if I tried to protect her.
Sam: Ok. But?
Mitch: Well, I'm not so sure that I've done the right thing.
Sam: All right. What didnít you tell her?
Mitch: You know I found the swan, the red swan --
Mitch: But it's not empty.
Sam: What do you mean?
Mitch: Well, there was -- there was a note inside the --
Sam: Oh, the will. Was it the addendum to the will?
Mitch: No, no, no. It was just a note. Mac instructed Rachel to contact this certain guy.
Mitch: I donít know. Nobody I've ever heard of.
Sam: Well, why is she supposed to contact him?
Mitch: I donít know. The note says contact this guy.
Sam: That's strange.
Mitch: Seems that way to me.
Sam: All right, so you donít know who this guy is?
Mitch: No, nobody in the Cory family has ever heard of him. I'm sure of that.
Sam: Ok, then why donít you tell Rachel?
Mitch: Because there's something about this note thatís bothering me, and I've just decided not to.
Sam: Mitch, what made you decide that you had the right to do that?
Stacey: I canít believe everything you did. I mean, look at the table.
Derek: Check out the wine.
Stacey: It's the same one we had that night.
Stacey: That's it -- everything reminds me exactly of that night.
Derek: Well, that's the idea.
Stacey: I remember everything about that night.
Derek: Yeah, me, too.
Stacey: I remember everything that I said and I remember everything that you said.
Derek: I told you I loved you.
Stacey: You were a little bit nervous.
Derek: Just before, thinking about it.
Derek: When the time came to say it, it was the easiest thing in the world.
Stacey: But I still donít understand how you arranged for us to come back here.
Derek: Well, I was trying to figure out a place to take you tonight.
Derek: And this room just kept coming back to me.
Stacey: So what did you do, call Dr. Jasper?
Derek: I called, but I got his butler. That's how I found out that Jasper was out of town.
Stacey: And then you just asked the butler?
Derek: Well, before I knew what I was saying, I told him I wanted to rent the place.
Stacey: And he just agreed?
Derek: You know the weird part was it was as though the butler expected me to ask.
Derek: Yeah, he said yes without hesitating. I mean, he even offered to cook the dinner, picked the wine.
Stacey: That is strange.
Derek: When I got here today, the place was empty. And everything was pretty much ready, including our clothes.
Stacey: Our what?
Derek: Our clothes. What, you think I had this lying around my closet? Yours is over there.
Stacey: That's for me?
Derek: Well, it goes with this.
Stacey: Oh, it's beautiful. Oh, I -- I am definitely in the wrong century, aren't I?
Stacey: Did you do that?
Derek: It's the magic.
Stacey: It's starting again.
Flight attendant: The captain requests that all seats be returned to the upright position and all seat belts be securely fastened. Thank you. We hope you've enjoyed your flight.
Evan: I didnít mean to upset you.
Evan: I'm sorry.
Amanda: No, you're not.
Evan: Look, I just thought that I could --
Amanda: I donít want to hear it, Evan. I donít want to hear anything more about us.
Evan: Look, I just felt I could be honest --
Amanda: I donít care what you felt. I donít care what you think that I felt. I donít care -- I donít care what you feel about how you think that I felt. Oh, shoot.
Evan: What's the matter? Is your heart throbbing again?
Amanda: Donít change the subject.
Evan: Well, I'm not the one changing the subject. You keep trying to shut me up.
Amanda: Because I am not the least bit interested in what you have to say.
Evan: Well, you've made that point very clear.
Amanda: Where -- where did you ever get the idea -- I mean, how -- how dare you ever think something like that.
Evan: Amanda, I really didnít mean to offend you.
Amanda: Nothing -- I repeat, nothing --
Evan: "Nothing" what?
Amanda: Will ever happen between us.
Evan: Oh. Oh, I see.
Amanda: Especially nothing like what you insinuated.
Evan: Wait a second, I didnít insinuate anything. I was being very straightforward.
Amanda: How dare you be straightforward about something like that?
Evan: Ok, I guess I was wrong.
Amanda: Damn right you were.
Evan: And I'll never, ever do it again.
Amanda: No, you will not, because you and I will never --
Evan: Make love.
Amanda: You listen to me, all right? It will never happen.
Evan: I'll tell you, "never" is a long time.
Amanda: Not where you and I are concerned.
Evan: Wait a second. You're the one telling me how funny life is, how unpredictable.
Amanda: I never said that -- oh, shoot, if I ever drink again --
Evan: Look, you canít always see what's around the next turn, you know.
Amanda: Spare me the clichťs, please.
Evan: No, clichťs are very valuable, Amanda.
Amanda: Who cares? Canít you see that I'm dying?
Evan: Ok. Maybe I should just shut up, then.
Amanda: That is the best idea that you've had all weekend. Not until you tell me what -- what I said last night.
Evan: Uh, it was nothing incriminating. Believe me.
Amanda: What is with all this turbulence?
Evan: Amanda, there is no turbulence. This is a very smooth flight.
Amanda: Oh, not when your head is five times its usual size.
Evan: Well, let's see -- looks like it's about twice as big.
Amanda: Oh, boy, Samís picking me up at the airport. God, how am I going to face him?
Evan: Amanda, he's never had a hangover?
Amanda: Not in the entire time that I've known him. He's too smart.
Evan: I wouldnít say that. But at least you can just tell him you just partied a little harder than usual, that's all.
Amanda: Oh, that's going go over really big.
Evan: Amanda, let's not over dramatize this, ok? Nothing happened. You didnít do anything wrong. At least not this time.
Mitch: I just want to make sure that Rachelís not in any danger, you know?
Sam: Yeah, but isnít that Rachelís call, Mitch?
Mitch: You know what sort of fragile state of mind she's been in lately?
Sam: All right, but how can you be 100% sure that she doesn't know this man?
Mitch: I canít be 100%. Almost, though.
Mitch: Because Rachel and I have gone through every name that she ever knew in Macís past. That's why.
Sam: Why would you do that?
Mitch: Because behind the painting of the red swan, we found this photograph. But the name of Ken Jordan has never come up. Believe me, we have gone through the names.
Sam: That's strange. You know, I always thought of Mac as the most open person in the world. Turns out even he had some secrets to his life.
Mitch: Yeah, more than some. I mean, it's like there's a whole part of his life that none of his family even knew about.
Sam: Why, though?
Mitch: I donít know. I guess he had his reasons. But I want to take it slow, and I think if I take it slow I'll come up with something.
Sam: All right. Are you positive that you shouldnít tell Rachel?
Mitch: Look, I've been back and forth, but I want to find out something about this guy, and --
Sam: Hey, let me ask you another question. Are you getting a little bit too involved here?
Mitch: What are you talking about? All I'm trying to do is keep her from having more grief to deal with.
Sam: All right, all right. Mitch, just listen to me for a second. If you keep this note from Rachel, what you're really doing is protecting her from Mac. Now, do you really want to do that?
Frankie: Good thing we didnít meet you guys at the church, you know? Jamie, will you get Johnís coat on him, please?
Jamie: Yeah, sure.
John: No, I'll get it, doc.
Frankie: Oh, I can see it now. We'd all be standing there, and you guys would come sauntering in two hours late.
Matt: Josie, where are you? My gosh, it's time! I donít even have my watch on. Will you come on?
Frankie: You guys are here? "Oh, we're sorry we're late to our own wedding rehearsal --"
Sharlene: Oh, come --
Frankie: "But we were busy mucking out the barn!"
Sharlene: Frankie, we would've been there.
Frankie: Yeah, right.
Jamie: Yeah, I think Frankie is more nervous about this than you guys are.
Frankie: Well, somebody around here has got to be nervous. Now, is everybody set?
Jamie: I think Josieís still upstairs getting dressed.
Frankie: Ugh. I am going to kill that girl. Josie? Get down here before your mother finds a new maid of honor!
Matt: All right, I'm going to go up and get her.
Sharlene: No, I tell you what, I'll get her. You all go -- Matt, pull the cars around? That would help.
Frankie: Ok. Now, will you hurry up up there, please?
Matt: I wish you would tell her -- we're on a time schedule.
Frankie: If you guys get, like, sentimental and schmaltzy, we'll be here all night.
Sharlene: I wonít get schmaltzy.
Frankie: We're going to be in big trouble, Sharlene.
Sharlene: Drive, drive, drive. Josie? Oh, there you are, darling.
Josie: You look pretty.
Sharlene: Thank you, so do you. So, come on, we've got to get going because Frankieís going to crazy if we donít --
Josie: You go ahead with the others. I'll take the truck.
Josie: Donít worry, I'll be at the church in a few minutes.
Sharlene: You're going to go meet Lucas, aren't you?
Josie: I canít get a hold of him. I owe it to him to tell him what's going on, donít you think?
Sharlene: Well, Josie, what is going on?
Josie: I'll be at the church in a few minutes!
Sharlene: Then donít come at all!
Sharlene: You heard me!
Josie: Mama, please.
Sharlene: No, Josie, you know, I've tried to be understanding, but why couldn't you have just said no?
Josie: Because this is important! I mean, especially after I blew the videotape session. I mean, if I donít work with Lucas, Oliviaís going to win this competition, and I'm going to be right back where I started.
Sharlene: Josie, this is my wedding.
Josie: And this is my future.
Sharlene: Donít go to Lucas tonight.
Josie: I have to. It's not like I'm missing the wedding! It's -- it's just a rehearsal! Please say you understand. Mama?
Amanda: Do you see him?
Evan: No, I guess not.
Amanda: I donít understand. I -- he knows it was the last flight in. We're not late or anything.
Evan: Well, maybe you got your signals crossed. Listen, I've really got to get to the rehearsal. I'm already late for John and Sharlene --
Amanda: No, ok, that's fine. Go ahead. It's ok.
Evan: Well, what about --
Amanda: I'll get a cab if he doesn't show up.
Evan: Well, that's going to be a little rough at this hour, Amanda. Why donít you just come with me, and you'll call him from the car phone, leave him a message?
Amanda: But what if --
Evan: What if he shows? Well, then you just leave a message at the airline desk. I mean, he would've been here by now, right?
Amanda: Yeah, I guess you're right.
Evan: What's the matter? Is your head still throbbing?
Amanda: No. I'm just worried that he's angry with me.
Evan: Well, either that or he's out with Olivia.
Amanda: No, donít say that! That's not what's happening.
Mitch: What are you saying?
Sam: Just what I said.
Mitch: That I'm somehow trying to protect Rachel from Mac?
Sam: Look, Mitch, I'm just playing devil's advocate, ok?
Mitch: Wait a minute, I donít even know that the note is real, you know? It might even be a fake.
Sam: Who would want to fake it?
Mitch: I donít know, some con artist, somebody that knows the family, wants to squeeze something out of them. I donít know.
Sam: Yeah, well, that's possible, I suppose.
Mitch: Yeah, of course it's possible. Who knows? Maybe this guy is involved in the death of Mac some way.
Sam: Wait a minute. Could that be --
Mitch: I donít know that. But I want to find out.
Sam: Well, the fact of the matter is you're in too deep to back out now.
Mitch: Look, if I didnít think Rachel was in any danger, I'd give her the note in a second.
Sam: Well, Rachelís gone this long without knowing about the note. I suppose it wonít hurt for her not to know about it for a few more days while you check things out.
Mitch: Look, I just want to make sure there's no more grief. I donít want to see her go through anything else. Look, thanks.
Mitch: Thanks for listening. And, if you donít mind, donít say anything to anybody.
Mitch: And that means Amanda.
Sam: Hey, man, donít worry -- oh, man, Amanda. I got to pick her up at the airport. I got to go, man. Hey --
Mitch: Is Ken Jordan there? Donít know a Ken Jordan? Uh, ok. Sorry. Wrong number. What am I doing? I donít even know if this number's in Bay City. I mean, this number could be anywhere in the world.
Stacey: Well, what do you think? Is this all right?
Derek: It's like it was made for you.
Stacey: Feels like that.
Derek: Come here.
Derek: What? What? What is that look, huh?
Stacey: I just feel like this is some kind of dream.
Derek: What if it is?
Stacey: I'd just be real disappointed if I ever had to wake up, that's all.
Derek: I wonít let you wake from this. I promise.
Stacey: Derek --
Stacey: Who is the man that created all this, that -- that never is around?
Derek: I donít know.
Stacey: Will I ever get to meet him?
Derek: Maybe. But right now I'm real glad that we're alone.
Mitch: Come on, Ken Jordan, answer the phone.
Stacey: Well, what should we do?
Derek: Nobody knows that we're here.
Stacey: Well, then it means it's for Dr. Jasper.
Derek: It'll stop soon.
Stacey: I should take a message.
Stacey: Hello? Too late.
Derek: Where were we?
Stacey: I think we were right here.
Derek: Are you hungry?
Derek: Do you think we should eat?
Stacey: I think maybe we should.
Captain: All right, Lucas, thanks for your cooperation. I'll be in touch.
Lucas: I'm not going anywhere.
Lucas: Oh, you did wait.
Felicia: I told you I would. I just had to make a phone call. How did it go in there?
Lucas: Well, I'm not getting arrested, so I guess it went ok.
Felicia: You were in there an awful long time.
Lucas: I talk slow.
Felicia: This is not funny, Luke. Do you remember me? I was arrested. I went to jail. I know what that's like.
Lucas: Nobody's going to arrest me.
Felicia: So the captain believed your story?
Lucas: It's not a story.
Felicia: Oh, I know. So he believed you?
Lucas: Well, he was dubious. But I'd be dubious, too, if I were him.
Felicia: As long as he doesn't push too hard?
Lucas: You have doubts, donít you?
Lucas: I just canít believe you're so supportive.
Felicia: I'm not really sure why I am, either. But I do know you need a friend. I wish people knew you -- I mean, really knew who you were.
Lucas: Look, you forget about me. You have to think about Mitch.
Felicia: I am thinking about Mitch.
Lucas: You know, he canít be too happy about you down here worrying about me.
Felicia: You know what he told me? He said he was going to try and understand the way I feel about you.
Felicia: Did you have anything to do with that?
Lucas: No. Maybe he got some sense knocked into his head when he got hit.
Felicia: This is not funny, Luke. Did you say something to him?
Lucas: No. Maybe he's doing it because he loves you.
Woman: Good evening, Mrs. Cory.
Rachel: Oh, sorry, Melanie.
Melanie: Oh, that's all right.
Rachel: Oh, heavens, I'm not going to return all these tonight, ok?
Melanie: Oh, that's fine.
Rachel: Hold all calls. I'm going to be busy in my office.
Rachel: Yeah? Excuse me.
Reporter: Mrs. Cory, we saw you leaving the police station --
Second reporter: There's more to this red swan than people are saying, right?
Rachel: How did you get in here? Please let me through.
Melanie: I'll call security.
Reporter: Is there a connection in that?
Rachel: Ok, stop with the pictures, ok? Would you please let me pass?
Mitch: What do you think you're doing? Why donít you just go cover a real story or something?
Sharlene: What's wrong?
John: Nothing. It's just that it's so quiet in here.
Sharlene: I know what you mean.
John: To think tomorrow we will be husband and wife. Are you ready for that?
Sharlene: Of course I'm ready for that.
John: No doubts?
John: You sure?
Sharlene: I love you.
Matt: I've been to a few weddings before -- usher, ring bearer, that sort of thing.
Reverend: You've had a lot of experience.
Matt: Not a lot of experience. I'm an all-around type of wedding guy.
Jamie: Among the three of us, we have a wealth of experience.
Frankie: I tried counting up how many weddings I've been in, and I quit at 50.
Reverend: Oh, my.
Frankie: I have a large family.
Reverend: Oh. Well, I can see this rehearsal's going to go very smoothly.
Jamie: And there they are!
Matt: Oh -- where's Josie? Is she in the back?
Sharlene: No, no, she isnít.
Reverend: I donít want to rush anyone, but I do have a service later.
John: We're ready.
Matt: Wait a minute, wait a minute. "No, she isnít"? I thought she was coming over in the truck.
Sharlene: No, Matt, she'll be here eventually.
Reverend: Is this everyone that's in the wedding party?
John: Well, except for the best man and a bridesmaid.
Reverend: Uh, the best man and a bridesmaid?
John: Yeah. That's ok, though. I mean, we'll fill them in tomorrow.
Reverend: But they play such an important part.
John: It couldn't be helped.
Reverend: And who is this Josie?
Sharlene: Josie -- that's my daughter.
Reverend: And she isnít in the party?
Sharlene: No, she --
Matt: Yes, maid of honor.
Frankie: But I can fill in for her. I can fill in for all the bridesmaids.
Jamie: We'll pitch in for everybody.
Reverend: Well, and you two are -- are ushers, I assume?
Matt: Yes, we are.
Jamie: Yes, but there's --
Reverend: What? What, someone else is missing?
Jamie: Um --
Matt: Evan. Evan.
Frankie: The bride's escort.
Jamie: Yeah, but, you know, we'll take -- he'll be here sooner or later, I'm sure.
Reverend: Oh, well.
Reverend: Yeah, sooner or later.
Matt: Probably later.
Reverend: Very well. Well, while we're waiting, I'll just have a word with the bride and groom.
Frankie: Oh, that's a good idea.
Reverend: Where's the bride?
John: She must have gone off to find where her daughter went.
Reverend: We're missing the bride's escort, the maid of honor, a bridesmaid, the best man, and the bride?
John: Yeah, that sounds about right.
Reverend: But how am I supposed to rehearse without half our principals?
Frankie: Well, it's bad luck for the bride to walk down the aisle at rehearsal, anyway.
Reverend: Where on earth did you hear that?
Frankie: Sharlene is going to be here any minute. Canít we just do the basic stuff?
Evan: Hey, we're here, we're here! I'm really sorry that we're late, but the airport traffic was the worst I've seen in a long time.
Frankie: Amanda --
Frankie: Backup bride. She has experience and everything.
Reverend: Very well.
Amanda: "Very well," what?
Frankie: You're standing in for Sharlene.
Amanda: Canít you do this?
Frankie: Look, I'm standing in for all the bridesmaids as it is.
Matt: Sharlene went to find Josie, right? You donít think she's worried or anything like that?
John: No, no, I donít think so.
Matt: Because Josie wouldnít miss this. I mean, she just wouldnít not show up.
John: Matt, nobody's missed anything yet.
John: I think I'll make some phone calls, see if I can find out what's going on.
Matt: Change? You need change?
Reverend: Ok. The first thing is -- where's the groom?
Matt: Oh, he went to make a phone call.
Reverend: Well, I donít believe this.
Frankie: One groom coming up.
Evan: Frankie, no way.
Frankie: Come on, Evan.
Evan: Frankie, Frankie --
Frankie: We donít have the time. Where do you want them, reverend?
Reverend: Well, up here, I suppose.
Reverend: We'll just skip the aisle. Now, as you -- well, or they -- or, well, whoever is joined together here -- uh, I'll say a few words and then I'll ask for a prayer, which I think we could use right now. Why donít we all just bow our heads?
Josie: Ok, ok. How's this?
Lucas: That is great! It is so 1960s!
Josie: Yeah? Peace.
Lucas: Peace. Ok.
Josie: Um, Lucas --
Lucas: Donít worry. I'm going to check this light and we'll get started, ok?
Josie: I canít stay very long.
Lucas: Now just relax, all right?
Josie: Only -- only a few minutes.
Lucas: Just relax, and it's going to be fine. Get some music --
Lucas: Now, this should put you in the mood.
Josie: Oh, yeah. That's great.
Lucas: All right, ok. I just want you to move now, ok?
Josie: I am not a good dancer, not at -- no, I'm not a good dancer.
Lucas: Oh, I donít care. I donít want you to dance. I didnít ask you to dance. Just move to the rhythm, ok?
Lucas: All right, good. Put your head down.
Singer: I canít get no
Lucas: Throw one arm over your head.
Lucas: You're a little tense, right?
Josie: Yeah, yeah, I'm tense.
Lucas: Ok, ok, no problem. Donít worry about it. Just -- just roll your shoulders a little. Ok, let your head go back and forth, and just be calm. Better? Relaxed, huh?
Josie: No, I'm still pretty tense.
Lucas: No? Ok, ok. Well, sit down. Sit down.
Singer: And that man comes on the radio
Lucas: No wonder you're tense. You're all tied up in knots.
Josie: Ok, I'm fine. I can do it. I can --
Lucas: You sure?
Josie: Yeah, thanks, thanks.
Lucas: Ok, all right. Now, donít think about anything. Donít think about where you have to be tomorrow or nothing. Just get in the mode, ok?
Singer: Hey, hey, hey
Lucas: Slow down. Slower, slower.
Singer: That's what I say
Singer: I canít get no
Stacey: I canít believe it. We're here.
Stacey: Nothing to come between us. I just canít believe it.
Derek: You keep saying that.
Stacey: I know. Am I sounding boring?
Derek: You could never be boring.
Stacey: Hmm, you donít know me. You should see me after I have a hard day at work. I come in and I pull the covers up over my head and I fall dead asleep.
Derek: I think I can handle that.
Stacey: Mm-hmm? You know -- you know what I keep thinking about?
Stacey: I keep thinking about when I was over at your place and I wanted to stay.
Derek: You donít know how hard it was to say no to you.
Stacey: I know. But I also -- I know why you did.
Derek: It's just that --
Stacey: It's just that you knew that when we made love, there'd be no turning back.
Derek: There wonít be.
Stacey: And that doesn't bother me.
Derek: But our lives --
Stacey: But our lives are so totally different. I know, I know, you told me. But donít you think -- donít you think you could ever get over worrying about that?
Derek: I'm working on it.
Stacey: You're not going to change your mind about tonight, are you?
Derek: Change my mind?
Stacey: About us being together?
Derek: I could no more leave you now than stop breathing.
Stacey: Good. Because I've already stopped.
Derek: No turning back?
Stacey: No. Not for either one of us.
Female singer: I love him I'm his and everything he is I am, too
Male singer: I love her we're one there's nothing to be done
Singers: I have a love and it's all that I need
Female singer: Not a thing I can do
Male singer: I can do
Singers: When love comes so strong there is no right or wrong your love is so strong so strong there is no right or wrong your love is so strong
Female singer: I love him I'm his and everything he is
Male singer: And all of
Singers: Your love is your life
Rachel: Good heavens.
Mitch: Well, it should be clear now.
Rachel: How did they get into this building with their cameras and their questions? As though they have a right to know anything.
Mitch: It's ok, it's ok.
Rachel: You've done it again, you know.
Mitch: What's that?
Rachel: Saved me.
Mitch: Well, I guess it was pure chance.
Rachel: I donít care if it was chance or not. You bailed me out.
Mitch: I owed you one from last -- well, the other night.
Rachel: We got to stop getting in trouble like this. What's this here for?
Mitch: No reason. I just -- I donít know.
Rachel: You didnít learn anything else, did you?
Rachel: I was so sure we'd find something when we found the red swan.
Mitch: Yeah, I know.
Rachel: This is all that we have now is more questions, no answers. Everything I thought was wrong.
Mitch: You know, maybe it -- it might be a good time to just let it all go.
Rachel: I canít let it go.
Felicia: Honey, the light wasn't --
Mitch: There were all these crazy, hyped-up reporters outside.
Rachel: I couldn't get past them, so he brought me in here.
Mitch: So we came in here until just everything cleared out.
Felicia: They were leaving when I came in.
Rachel: Great. I can get back to work. Thanks a lot. How did it go with Lucas at headquarters?
Mitch: You were at headquarters with Lucas?
Felicia: I was saving him from crazy, hyped-up police officers.
Reverend: And then the vows, the repeat-after-meís -- "do you, John --" or tonight we'll just say "the groom -- take this bride to be your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health," etc., Etc.?
Evan: I do.
Reverend: I can see that there's no reason why we should continue without the real bride and groom. Perhaps if we take a break, somebody will turn up. No offense.
Jamie: So John had to make some phone calls, you said?
Matt: To find Sharlene. I think so.
Jamie: She canít be that far away.
Evan: So that wasn't so hard, was it?
Evan: The vows -- "to have, to hold"?
Sam: Fancy meeting you here. I thought we had a date at the airport.
Amanda: We did. We -- you weren't there.
Sam: You didnít waste any time waiting, did you?
Amanda: Sam, I didnít know what to do. Evan offered me a ride in.
Sam: That was mighty big of him, wasn't it?
Amanda: I missed you.
Sam: Hi. How was New York?
Evan: Oh, it was great.
Amanda: It was all right. I'm glad to be home. Hey, come here for a second. Excuse me. Sam, please, donít be mad. I was only doing this as a favor to Sharlene. If I was up there thinking about anybody, it was about you.
Sam: And that's pretty funny.
Sam: Watching you up there, it seemed the farthest thing from your mind.
Frankie: This is like a joke! Where is Sharlene?
John: I donít know. She's gone.
Matt: Did you get in touch with Josie?
John: No. I called all over, and nobody's anywhere.
Frankie: I knew this was going to happen. First nobody's ready to rehearse, and now everybody disappears!
Jamie: What a night.
Frankie: What a fiasco!
Jamie: Well, you know, as they say, "bad rehearsal, good show." Ha-ha.
John: I know that Sharlene must have gone after her, but she just wouldnít have walked off without telling me. I mean, forget the rehearsal. I would have gone with her.
Singer: I canít get no oh, no, no, no hey, hey, hey that's what I say I canít get no satisfaction
Lucas: All right, Josie, you're getting it now. That's it, that's it. Donít stop. Concentrate! Lose yourself in the music. That's great!
Josie: Lucas --
Josie: I have to go.
Lucas: What do you mean, you have to go? You canít go. You just --
Josie: I've got to be at that rehearsal.
Lucas: But -- you were just getting it. What are you --?
Singer: I canít get no when I'm watchin' my TV and a man comes on to tell me
Lucas: Sharlene, what are you doing here? Josie just left. What do you want?
Singer: I canít get no no, no, no hey, hey, hey that's what I say
