Marley: Whoo! Hello! Well, is anybody here?

Jake: Looks like we got the place all to ourselves, doll face.

Marley: Bridget? Donna? Now, Jake -- Jake, the guard is going to hear!

Jake: Well, let him listen.

Marley: Ok.

[Music plays]

Cass: Hey! Oh.

Cass: Huh.

[Nicole hums]

Nicole: Oh, no! Oh, yeah! Whoo! Hey, hey! Hey, hey! Oh, yeah, I knew it

Cass: Ah!

[Nicole screams]

[Cass screams]

Nicole: Cass! Oh, you're back!

Cass: Wait a second! Wait a second! Wait a second.

Nicole: Oh! Oh!

Cass: What have you done with my fiance?

[Music stops]

Radio announcer: This is a news update. The Bay City business world got a shock this evening. Respected founder and president of Cory Publishing, Mackenzie Cory, has been arrested and is being held under suspicion of murder. We'll have details of this and all today's top stories later on the nightly news roundup.

Cass: Arrested?

[Reporters talk all at once]

Rick: Why don't you just go outside and sharpen your pencils, all right? Just -- cut me a break and get lost! Get lost! Get them out of here!

Reporter: We need some answers.

Second reporter: I have a deadline. Ok, who's that?

Third reporter: Is that a lawyer?

Zack: What's going on here, Graham?

Rick: The more, the merrier.

Zack: Well, you got any answers for me, Courtney?

Courtney: Yeah, we brought Mac Cory in.

Zack: Well, that's obvious. What's the official charge?

Rick: Murder. The murder of Drew Marsten.

Michael: Ahem --

Marley: Oh.

Jake: Excuse us.

Marley: Hello.

Jake: I guess we got a little carried away.

Donna: A little.

Michael: You -- you want to tell us what's going on here, huh?

Marley: Jake and I are back together.

Jake: We're not getting a divorce.

Marley: No.

Michael: You're kidding me.

Marley: No! We are very serious. We've worked through everything.

Donna: Another one of your seductions, Jake? Well, what's the matter? Did Victorias money run out before you could get your new business started?

Marley: Donna --

Jake: That's not fair, Donna.

Michael: Come on, Donna, let him talk.

Donna: No! No, we don't need to talk about this! We have given this man second, third, fourth, fifth chances! We don't need any more talk, Michael!

Marley: Donna, Jake is my husband. You cannot talk to him that way.

Donna: He doesn't deserve to be your husband. He is not good enough, and he never will be.

Michael: Donna, just let Marley explain.

Donna: How can she explain, Michael, when she is brainwashed by him?

Marley: Now, Donna, I know you're looking out for my best interests, but it is possible that you can be wrong.

Donna: I am not wrong about this. Marley, you two do not belong together.

Marley: Whether or not Jake and I belong together is up to us to decide. This is our marriage, our lives. It doesn't concern you.

Donna: Oh, it concerns me when you are not capable of making an intelligent decision.

Marley: I resent that.

Donna: Marley, you have been taking months and months to make up your mind about this.

Jake: And now that she's made a decision she's happy with, you can't accept it.

Donna: Can't you see what he is like?

Jake: Unlike you, Donna, Marley is able to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Michael: Jake --

Donna: That's because she has always been too trusting.

Jake: Well, maybe she has to make up for her mother's quick-tempered arrogance. Why are you being such a --

Michael: Jake, that's enough!

Marley: Jake, Jake --

Jake: Come on, let's get out of here.

Michael: No, no, no, you're not going anywhere until we resolve this.

Donna: Michael, I don't think this can be resolved.

Marley: Oh, Jake --

Michael: Donna, look, you and I got a lot of opposition when we were young. Now, why don't we give them what we didn't get? Don't you think our daughter deserves that?

Donna: I don't want to see Marley throwing away -- oh, obviously, I am the minority here.

Jake: Yes. Yes, you are.

Donna: Even if I am the only sane one.

Marley: Donna, please. Please, just this once, would you be happy for us?

Jake: And if you can't do that, the least you can do is respect our decision.

Donna: Well, I don't seem to have much of a choice here, do I?

Jake: No, you dont.

Donna: Oh! I see. Does this mean that you're going back to the -- to the west coast where all the action is, Jake?

Marley: Oh, Donna --

Jake: Actually, I was thinking about staying right here.

Michael: Well, that's terrific. We would both be glad to have you stay here in Bay City.

Marley: Well, we were hoping -- now it's a horrible idea.

Donna: Oh, come on. I haven't heard a horrible idea today yet. Why don't we --

Michael: Donna, stop it! Stop it! Just stop it. What is it, Marley? What were you going to say?

Marley: Well, Jake and I were hoping that until we got settled here that we could move in here with you.

Donna: Oh

Cass: And they arrested Mac Cory on suspicion of murder?

Nicole: Yeah.

Cass: I leave Bay City for two weeks and all hell breaks loose.

Nicole: You know, it's very strange to think of Drew being gone.

Cass: Well, don't think about it. Hey, let me see. Hey, you know, without that green goop on your face, I think you got even more beautiful while I was away.

Nicole: Oh, right.

Cass: No, I do, I do.

Nicole: You know, I really wanted to do it up for you. I mean, look at this dress.

Cass: Oh, it's a nice dress.

Nicole: I was going to stow away in a limo and surprise you. But you spoiled it.

Cass: Well, can I help it if my flight got in early, of all things? And besides, who cares anyway? I'm here. We're together. And what a coincidence. There just happens to be a bed right next to us.

Nicole: Well, I wasn't expecting you for two more hours.

Cass: Well, the airline schedules were erratic the entire trip.

Nicole: Is that a fact?

Cass: Nicole, don't you have lust in your heart for me? I mean, don't you -- don't you -- didn't you miss me?

Nicole: Well, of course I missed you. I missed you terribly. And I was worried. I don't think I've ever paid more attention to the news.

Cass: Well, I was safe and sound, just like I promised you I'd be. The Gulf was extremely exciting this time of year, but I didn't do anything too reckless. I'm getting soft in my old age.

Nicole: Well, it's not just where you were that had me nervous. Cass, you only called me once. Until I got that telegram, I didn't even know if you were still alive.

Cass: I know, and I apologize for that. Really, I do. I mean, needless to say, the communication problems -- wait a second. What do you mean, it wasn't just where I was? Something else was worrying you?

Nicole: Well, yeah. Yes.

Cass: Is it about the wedding?

Nicole: Drew's disappearance. You know something about all that, don't you?

Cass: Nicole, I --

Nicole: Cass, tell me. I've been going crazy. Are you involved with what happened to Drew?

Zack: This is ludicrous! You know as well as I do that Mac Cory did not kill Drew Marsten!

Rick: What I know is that we have hard evidence that indicates he might have. So Mr. Cory is about to be booked and will be spending the night under our hospitality.

Zack: Courtney, is this true?

Courtney: I'm afraid so, Zack.

Reporter: Mrs. Cory --

Second reporter: Mrs. Cory --

[Reporters talk all at once]

Rachel: My God! Where is Mac?

Courtney: He's inside, Mrs. Cory. He's been confined.

Rachel: I've come to take him home.

Rick: Your husband isn't going anywhere, Mrs. Cory.

Zack: They intend to keep him here all night, Rachel.

Rachel: What?

Courtney: He has to go through the booking procedure, ma'am.

Rachel: Oh, God --

Mac: Oh, Rachel, I'm so sorry you had to go through all this.

Rachel: Well, where else would I be?

Zack: Look, don't worry, Mac. I'll have you out on bail in an hour.

Rick: There's no judge that's going to set bail at this time of night. You're going to have to wait till the morning.

Rachel: That's unacceptable.

Man: I'm afraid you don't have a choice.

Mac: Gordon Reese.

Gordon: Mac, Rachel, Mr. Edwards.

Zack: I'm surprised to see the D.A. Working this late.

Gordon: Well, considering all the years we've known each other, I thought Id make a special trip.

Rachel: How very thoughtful.

Zack: Look, well, I have to see about these calls.

Gordon: Oh, that won't be necessary. Detective Graham is right. There won't be a judge until tomorrow.

Mac: Now, look here --

Gordon: No, you look! Just because you are Mackenzie Cory doesn't mean that we can alter the rules to suit you. The social registry is not above the law.

Rachel: That's not what he meant --

Gordon: You were arrested on criminal charges. Therefore, you must follow all standard procedure. And I'm here to see that you do. Excuse me.

Rachel: What a piece of

Michael: Donna, come on, now. You can't storm out of a room like that and expect to settle anything.

Donna: Oh, I can storm out of any room that I want, and I will not be told who is going to live under this roof, especially not Jake McKinnon!

Michael: He's married to our daughter!

Donna: Please, Michael, don't criticize me on this. I am in no mood.

Michael: But you can dish it out, but you can't take it?

Donna: Oh --

Michael: Come on, what about Marleys feelings?

Donna: This is precisely what I am talking about. Do you want to just stand by and watch her ruin her life? Why didn't you stand up to Jake down there?

Michael: Because I'm not going to make her choose. Donna, we'll lose if we make her do that, all right? Jake will win. They're in love.

Donna: Oh, please.

Michael: Look, she needs our support. She deserves our support. Donna, she's not a naive little girl anymore.

Donna: Oh, no! No, she has grown up into a naive woman! Oh, Michael, look, I know you don't approve of Jake. Why aren't you backing me up on this?

Michael: Because, Donna, maybe -- I don't know. I don't know. I had a rough time growing up. I mean, I identify with Jake.

Donna: No, you are nothing like him! Jake is -- he's -- he's egotistical, he's materialistic, he's deceitful --

Michael: And he's in love with our daughter, just like I was with you, and he says he will try to change, Donna.

Donna: Oh --

Michael: Come on. We both know the power of what love can do.

Donna: Michael, this has nothing to do with love! Jake is incapable of that. This has to do with guilt!

Michael: Guilt? What are you talking --?

Donna: He cheated on Marley and he got caught!

Marley: Oh, Jake, I am so sorry she reacted that way. I guess I should have expected it.

Jake: Yeah, well, you and -- you and Vicky definitely inherited her determination.

Marley: Determined? Stubborn.

Jake: I can be stubborn, too. And if you want to live here, I'll just have to make it work out. I'm not going to let her beat us.

Marley: Oh, I feel the same way.

Jake: That's because you know that I love you with all my heart.

Michael: Then why did you cheat on my daughter?

Cass: I don't know anything about Drew Marsten being murdered, except that it sounds like a mercy killing to me.

Nicole: Cass.

Cass: All right, Im sorry.

Nicole: Well, they haven't found his body yet, but the police obviously think it's murder.

Cass: And what do you think?

Nicole: Well, I think it's scary that Drews life got so out of hand. I used to admire how in control he was.

Cass: Nicole --

Nicole: No, this shouldn't surprise me, not that I wanted him dead, but he certainly seemed to have enough people who did. You included.

Cass: I hope you're not thinking what I think you're thinking.

Nicole: I know that you went to see him the night before he was discovered missing. Remember? You called me from the airport. And you told me that Drew would never bother me again.

Cass: But that doesn't mean I killed him!

Nicole: Cass, I'm only asking, what happened when you confronted him?

Cass: All right, you want to know? I'll tell you. I'll tell you what happened. When you told me what he did to you, I didn't know what I was going to do. But I just couldn't let something like that pass. So I went over to his suite, and I knocked on -- I slammed on his door. There was no answer. But I knew he was in there. I could hear him walking around. I thought I heard him talking. So I kept on knocking. Finally, he let me in. And when he did open up, he was wearing his robe and holding a bath towel to his head. I thought he was hung-over. He dropped the towel and I saw that he'd been hiding a pretty bad lump on his forehead. I started to lay into him about upsetting you, and the longer I chewed him out, the more smug he became, so I got a little angry. And I ended up slamming him up against the wall. Drew told me he was getting fed up with all the violence around town. I told him he brought it all on himself. I warned him to keep away from you. He laughed and told me he didn't have any interest in you anymore. And he went on and said some pretty ugly things about you. I told him one more time, keep his distance from you. And then I left. But when I did, Drew Marsten was still very much alive.

Nicole: Well, what kind of things did he say about me that could have got you so mad?

Cass: They were lies. He was just trying to hurt me. I'm not going to repeat what he said.

Nicole: You never went back to Drews suite after that?

Cass: No! That's when I called you from the airport.

Nicole: Oh, Cass. You left something out.

Cass: No, I didn't. That's the whole story!

Nicole: I know -- I know that your flight was canceled that night and that it didn't leave until the next night.

Cass: You know that?

Nicole: You did go back to Drews, didn't you?

Cass: No, I didn't go back to d

(Electronic beat playing)

Nicole: But your plane didn't leave until the next night.

Cass: Are you saying you don't believe me?

Nicole: I want to believe you. I know you're not a liar, but you can be a little emotional sometimes.

Cass: Emotional?

Nicole: Please, Cass --

Cass: Listen, I want to show you something, ok?

Nicole: Let's not fight about this.

Cass: Since you're having such a difficult time taking my word for it. This is tangible proof that I left when I said I did. They're my boarding passes for a different airline. Take a look, go ahead. You see, when my original flight was canceled, I made other arrangements and we left a half-hour later. Now, are you satisfied?

Nicole: Oh, Cass, I'm sorry.

Cass: I'm sorry, too, that you think that I would do something like that -- to Drew or anybody else!

Nicole: No, that's just it. I --

Cass: And that Id sit back and let somebody else take the rap for it? Especially Mac Cory? Please!

Nicole: Oh, Cass, please, for all we know, this was a crime of passion. You're a very passion--

Cass: And I suppose that you think that this is a very gallant thing for me to do. I mean, saving your life, protecting you from the evil Drew, slaying the dragon like that. I mean, is that your idea of a romantic concept?

Nicole: Cass, I've lost so many people that were close to me. Even with my father -- well, it still hurts. Drew is dead. There's nothing romantic about that.

Reporter: Mr. Cory --

Second reporter: Mr. Cory --

Third reporter: Mr. Cory --

[Reporters talk all at once]

Courtney: Watch it, please. Excuse me.

Rick: All right. Full name?

Mac: Mackenzie Cory.

Reporter: Oh, Mr. Reese --

Second reporter: Mr. Reese --

[Talking all at once]

Reporter: Oh, please -- come on, Mr. Reese.

Second reporter: Just -- just something for the --

Gordon: Mrs. Cory --

Reporter: Mr. Reese --

Courtney: Excuse me, pardon me. Please, move out of the way.

Reporter: Mr. Cory --

Second reporter: Mr. Cory --

Third reporter: Mr. Cory --

[Reporters talk all at once]

Rachel: I thought you'd never get out. Are you all right?

Mac: I'm fine.

Courtney: Mr. Cory, I'll need to collect your personal effects before we take you to your cell.

Mac: Yes, of course. Would you make sure that this watch doesn't disappear? It was a present from my son Jamie.

Courtney: Yes, sir. Also, we'll need to empty your pockets, and you need to remove your necktie and belt.

Rachel: Is this really necessary?

Mac: It's all right, Rachel. They're afraid I might hang myself if I get half a chance.

Gordon: And I believe there's one more item, detective.

Rick: Oh. Your wedding band.

Mac: But I -- I haven't had that off since I was married.

Rachel: Mac --

Mac: I'm not sure I can get it off.

Rick: Try.

Rachel: I'll take it.

Courtney: I'm sorry. Everything will be returned to you as soon as you're released, Mr. Cory.

Rachel: Oh, come on! You know he's going to be released. Why are you doing this to him?

Mac: Rachel, if I believe in the law, I have to comply with it, don't I? I have to trust that it's going to protect me.

Zack: I'll make sure of that, Mac.

Gordon: Well, I'll see you tomorrow when bail is set. Try to get some rest.

Courtney: Mr. Cory, why don't you have a seat.

Rachel: Who does he think we are --?

Zack: Rachel --

Courtney: The guards will come and escort you to your cell.

Mac: Thank you.

Marley: Well, Donna opened her mouth, and look out.

Michael: Wait a minute, young lady. Your mother had every right to tell me about Jakes affair.

Jake: One night is not an affair, Michael.

Michael: Call it what you want, Jake. I can tell you this -- I wouldn't have been so hard on your mother if I had known all the facts. I'd say she handled herself pretty well, considering the nature of this secret she's been carrying around.

Marley: Exactly. It was a secret, and I told her in confidence.

Michael: Honey, husbands and wives talk. But if I were you, I wouldn't dump all this on your mother. I'd say you're angry at the wrong person.

Marley: No, Michael, I have already dealt with my anger for Jake.

Jake: I can understand what you're feeling, Michael. I mean, I -- I would feel the same way if it was my daughter.

Donna: Well, has Michael made our position clear to you?

Michael: Donna, we haven't talked about much yet.

Marley: Yes, Donna, the only thing that you did accomplish was making Michael angry, also.

Donna: Well, he has every right to be angry. He is your father, and he doesn't want to see you hurt anymore --

Michael: Donna, please! No, you don't know how I feel. But I'll tell you what really bothers me. You didn't come to me.

Jake: Honey, can you go upstairs and take your mother? I'd like to talk to Michael alone.

Marley: Jake --

Jake: Please, hon.

Donna: Oh, Jake, you really do have her well trained. You do.

Michael: So what are you going to do, buddy? You're going to explain yourself to me, huh?

Jake: No, Michael, Im not. I mean, that would be impossible. I just want to clean the slate.

Michael: Fine. How are you going to clean the slate, Jake?

Jake: You and Donna are not going to give us a fresh start. You keep -- you keep reminding us of how we botched up the first time.

Michael: Jake, I warned you. All I asked of you is treat my daughter right!

Jake: You guys didn't get it right the first time, Michael! Man, I know what I did was wrong. It's not some moral or ethical code. It's because I hurt the person I never wanted to see get hurt. If you don't want to cause Marley any more pain, you'll let her live her own life, Michael. You won't make her choose sides.

Marley: Donna, for the first time in months, I felt like my life was finally back together. Jake and I are happier now than we were on our wedding day, and you've ruined that.

Donna: When are you going to realize that Jake is the consummate con artist? And as far as your problems go, I had nothing to do with them.

Marley: You have everything to do with them.

Donna: Oh --

Marley: Donna, you will not let me be happy.

Donna: I want you to be happy, but Jake is not going to make you happy. Now, I can be objective about this.

Marley: No, you have never been objective about Jake.

Donna: Marley, he is not right for you. I didn't like him when he was dating Victoria. And I really hated him when he started in on you. Honey, he is only going to hurt you again.

Marley: No, he is not. Donna, I have hurt Jake, also, but we have worked through that together.

Donna: You -- you are not capable of hurting anyone.

Marley: Can't you just realize that I am doing what is best for me?

Donna: Oh. Why do I always get blamed for everyone else's problems? I didn't have the affair.

Marley: Well, then what do you call John Hudson?

Donna: John Hudson is my brother-in-law. That's all. Nothing happened between us. Now, Michael has dropped it, and I suggest you do it, too.

Marley: Well, then, what about when Victoria and I were conceived?

Donna: Oh --

Marley: Michael was still just a stable boy, and you were younger than I am. Now, to me, that is an affair.

Donna: Marley --

Marley: Don't get angry with me, because Im telling the truth.

Donna: You -- you have never spoken to me like this.

Marley: Well, maybe it's about time. Donna, you cannot expect other people to be perfect, especially if you're so far from perfect yourself. Or is that why you expect it from everyone else?

Donna: I have enough of my own guilt. I don't -- I don't need you to add to that, thank you. Marley, honey, I just want you to understand, from the minute you were born, I just wanted you to be happy and I wanted you to have the best. And the best does not include Jake McKinnon.

Marley: What is the use?

Donna: Marley --

Jake: Michael, just tell me what I have to do to convince you. I'll do anything, all right?

Michael: Wait a minute -- you don't have to anything to convince me, buddy. You got to convince Marley.

Marley: Well, I already am convinced. Jake and I have thought a lot about this reconciliation. Michael, we are very much in love with each other.

Michael: All right. I'll back you all the way. I support your decision.

Donna: No!

Michael: Donna, would you stay calm, please?

Do Donna: Michael, how can you condone this?

Michael: Easy.

Donna: Marley, if you want this philanderer back in your life again, obviously you want me out of it.

Marley: Donna, that is not true.

Michael: Donna, you don't mean that.

Donna: Yes, I do, Michael. Marley, you are my child, and I will always love you. But I don't have to su-- I don't have to support your decisions. I don't have to watch your life, the life that I gave you, fall apart, bit by bit, because you're too blind to see what's going on right in front of you. I will not stand by and witness that, and I sure as hell am not going to encourage it.

Jake: Donna, that is not going to happen.

Donna: Oh, yes it will! In fact, Jake, I would be willing to bet money on it. I warned you once before, Marley. And I was right, wasn't I? And I am right this time, and when you see that and you decide that you need me, then Ill be here for you.

Michael: She needs you now, Donna.

Donna: Well, apparently, she doesn't, Michael. Apparently, all she needs now is Jake.

Marley: Donna, do not make me choose between you and my husband.

Michael: Hey. Just give her time.

Jake: This is no use, man. Come on.

[Door closes]

Donna: Oh, Michael --

Michael: How could you do that to our daughter?

Cass: Oh. How could I be so insensitive? I'm sorry.

Nicole: I'm sorry, too, for ever doubting you. I had to be sure, though, for your sake.

Cass: Why for my sake?

Nicole: Well, in case I needed to protect you.

Cass: Nicole --

Nicole: I hate the idea of murder, but if it had been you, I would have done everything in my power to save you. Cass, there isn't anything in this world I wouldn't do for you. Just -- there's nothing I wouldn't do for you.

Cass: And there isn't anything I wouldn't do for you.

Nicole: That's why I overreacted to your trip to the Persian Gulf. I just want to keep you safe.

Cass: As long as we love each other, we're safe.

Nicole: You know, sometimes I think about how much I love you, and it fills me so completely, I -- I just can't even think straight.

Cass: I know the feeling.

Nicole: So, I'm just going to look crazy sometimes, that's all.

Cass: We make quite a pair, don't we?

Nicole: I like to think so.

Zack: Mac, Im going to go fill out the rest of these forms. You just sit tight, ok?

Mac: Thank you, Zack.

Rachel: You all right?

Mac: For the thousandth time, Rachel, I'm fine.

Rachel: I'm sorry. I don't mean to ask. It's just I know how hard this is on you.

Mac: Well, it's hard on all of us. I'll manage. Oh, I'm sorry, darling. I'm just so anxious, and I'm frustrated. Most of all, Im furious.

Rachel: I know.

Mac: But I will get through it all right. I mean, that is if my stomach can take the food in this place. Maybe Ada should bake me a cake with a file in it, huh?

Rachel: I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight. I don't sleep very well when you're not there.

Mac: After a day like this, you won't have any trouble sleeping, honey.

Rachel: Yes, I will. I know. I'll wear one of your pajama tops.

Mac: That image is going to get me through the night.

Rachel: Maybe -- maybe one of these days we'll look back on this and we'll laugh about it. I take that back. This stopped being funny a long time ago. Mac, it is so unfair.

Mac: And we thought the takeover was hostile. Huh.

Rachel: There's this man who killed Marsten, and he's walking around free, and you're being treated like a criminal.

Mac: I shudder to think what the reaction of the stockholders is going to be when they read my press report.

Rachel: This is intolerable. I promise you, darling, I'm going to find out who did this and Im going to stop this. I'm going to resolve this if it's the last thing I do, I promise you that.

Mac: Rachel, don't go getting yourself in trouble. That's the last thing we need.

Rachel: Well, what do you want me to do, then?

Mac: Just go by the rules. Trust that they're going to find out the truth. Be patient, darling, please.

Rachel: I don't think I have much patience left in me, Mac.

Rick: All right, Mr. Cory, this officer's going to take you to your cell now.

Reporter: Mr. Cory --

[Reporters talk all at once]

Officer: Please, please!

Zack: Mac, all right, I'm going to work as hard as I can to get you out of here. And I want to personally apologize for not shutting the door on Reese when I had the chance.

Mac: Well, it's the thought that counts. Thank you. You're going to be with me. I'm going to be thinking about you.

Reporter: Where's he going? What's happening?

Donna: Michael, please don't push me away.

Michael: What, like you just did with Marley? Donna, you've just succeeded in completely alienating her.

Donna: I'm sorry. I know that I -- that I can be so stubborn sometimes.

Michael: And just a little bit cruel.

Donna: You have to believe me, I didn't intend to hurt her.

Michael: Fine. What did you intend to do?

Donna: I will make this up to her somehow. But maybe -- just maybe she will find out that I'm right.

Michael: You're not right, Donna. You've never been less right. Everybody deserves a break, including Jake.

Donna: All right. I said that I would make it up to her, and I will. Somehow, I will.

Michael: If you still can and if you care to.

Donna: Of course I care to. It's because I care about her so much that all of this has happened.

Michael: Well, then Id say you better get going before she slips away from us completely.

Donna: Michael, I said I would do it, and I will, I promise. Look, you have to know it's just because I want her to be as happy in marriage as I am. And I was. I was very hard on her. And I'm sorry, but when I get angry, I don't even realize half the things I say.

Michael: Well, then, you should listen to yourself, Donna. Look, I know that when you care so much you get upset.

Donna: I do. And I care about my family more than anything. And also, I don't want to disappoint you.

Michael: Donna, I know you can fix this. I know you can do it. I love you.

Donna: Michael, oh, I love you, so very much.

Marley: How could she turn her back on me? I didn't do anything in my whole life to deserve this.

Jake: Of course you didn't. Of course you didn't. Shh. Of course you didn't. Look, I love you.

Marley: I love you. Oh, I love you more than anything in this world.

Cass: It's good to be back.

Nicole: Hmm. Welcome home, Mr. Winthrop.

Cass: I love you so much.

Nicole: Oh, not nearly as much as I love you.

Zack: Rachel, come.

Mac: I don't ever want to go through this again.

Rachel: Drew? Drew? Mac? Mac? Mac. Oh, my darling! Mac? Who did this to you? Mac? Sweetheart, what happened? Answer. Hello. This is an emergency. My husband has been hurt.

Mac: I will never forget what Marsten has done to my family and my company -- never! I don't ever want to go through this again.

Rachel: Well, if once it's over, we can begin the process of trying to forget all about it.

Mac: I will never forget what Marsten has done to my family and my company -- never! That is my daughter's bracelet. Never!

Rick: What about this?

Zack: What the hell is this?

Rick: Look familiar?

Mac: No, it doesn't. Why should it?

Courtney: This gun was found hidden in a radiator at Drew Marstens suite.

Rick: Your fingerprints are all over this gun, Mr. Cory.

Mac: It's Marsten. He's framed Amanda. He's had these pictures taken. I will never forget what Marsten has done to my family and my company -- never!

Matt: Josie, look.

Mac: I had to get him.

Rachel: Mac, no!

Mac: I just couldn't stand it any longer, Rachel. I had to do something.

Rachel: Oh, my gosh!

Mac: He had to pay for it.

Rick: Police! Don't move!

[Rachel gasps]

Rachel: I love you, Mac.

Mac: Rachel, I love you.
