Carly: Parker, what are you doing here?

Parker: I'm looking for Dad. I just want to make sure that Craig's still locked up.

Carly: I told you -- they arrested him last night. Everything is under control. You should stay as far away from here as possible.

Parker: How do you know that it's under control? Have you talked to Craig? Do you know what's he saying?

Carly: [Sighs] Well, he's trying to make excuses. But your father has evidence that he stole the money from your trust fund.

Parker: Does he have evidence that he started the fire?

Carly: I'm sure your dad's on top of everything. You shouldn't be here.

Parker: Craig's going to deny that he knew that Gabriel was in that building, and he's going to deny that he attacked him. What if Dad believes him?

Carly: Parker, at this point, nobody is going to believe a word that man says.

Parker: Even if it's the truth?

Carly: Hey, don't worry, okay? You're safe, as long as you keep your head clear and your mouth shut.

Jack: What are you doing here? And why aren't you in cuffs?

Craig: You didn't hear? I made bail.

Dusty: So the money was transferred into Janet's account, no problem? Thanks, Eduardo. Thanks for handling things so quickly. I appreciate it. Buddy, how you doing? We got all afternoon, no school. How lucky are you?

Johnny: Can we see my other dad?

Dusty: Maybe later. We'll see him soon.

Johnny: Then can we go to the park?

Dusty: Done. Let's go.

Janet: Well. [Sighs] Look who it is -- the handsomest guy I know, and he's with Dusty.

Dusty: Say "Hi" to Janet.

Johnny: Hi, Janet.

Dusty: How you doing?

Janet: I'm good. I'm -- I'm tired, but I'm good.

Dusty: You're not going to work, are you? You worked all night, didn't you?

Janet: I did, but now I'm going to see a man about an apartment, and this is the only time the landlord could fit me in, so --

Dusty: A new apartment, huh?

Janet: Yeah.

Dusty: You okay -- I mean, financially and otherwise? 'Cause my offer still stands. All my offers do.

Janet: Thanks, but uh, my dad actually left me some money.

Dusty: Really?

Janet: Yeah. A blessing and a surprise.

Dusty: That's good, if it's what you want.

Janet: It is.

Holden: Hey there.

Molly: Holden, you're early.

Holden: Yeah, I know. I-I got here sooner than I thought.

Molly: I just need a few more minutes. I'm working on something that just came in.

Holden: Big story?

Molly: I'll say. Craig Montgomery was arrested last night.

Holden: Because of the fire?

Molly: Yeah, he was charged with arson and attempted murder, among other things. It looks like he's in real trouble this time.

Holden: Attempted murder of Gabriel Caras?

Molly: Yeah. And I got to say I feel partly responsible.

Holden: Why?

Molly: I'm the one that got him the job at Monte Carlo to begin with.

Holden: Yeah, but you didn't know that this was going to happen.

Molly: No, but getting an innocent kid a job with Craig Montgomery? I should have known that wasn't going to end well. But it's turning into one hell of a story.

Holden: So, what do you think? Do you need a little more time before we go to lunch?

Molly: Is that okay?

Holden: Yeah, yeah. It's fine. You know what? I actually have something that I need to take care of, so I'll be back in a little bit, okay?

Lily: I just got off the phone with the hospital. There's still no change. Gabriel still hasn't regained consciousness. [Sighs] I couldn't sleep at all last night.

Lucinda: You need to stop feeling so guilty, Darling. You're not responsible for what happened.

Lily: No? If we'd never kept the truth about Gabriel from Craig, none of this would have happened. Craig would have known that Gabriel was his son from the start.

Lucinda: The choice was made 20 years ago to protect Gabriel from his father, and I still stand by it. And -- [Chuckles] From what has transpired in the short time that they've known each other, we did the right thing.

Lily: Did we?

Lucinda: It's too late for regrets. What's done is done.

Lily: I'm sorry. I can't be as cold and pragmatic about this as you can.

[Doorbell rings]

Lily: [Sighs] Mother, I've got to go.

Lucinda: Dear, don't beat up on yourself so much. It's not your fault.

Lily: Goodbye, Mother. Holden? Is everything all right?

Holden: Craig was arrested last night.

Lily: What? Why?

Holden: For arson and for the attempted murder of Gabriel Caras.

Jack: Bail's temporary. It doesn't mean you're off the hook, and it sure as hell doesn't mean you're innocent.

Craig: But there's degrees of guilty, Jack. I-I never meant to steal from Parker. I borrowed that money to get Monte Carlo going for Carly. I always intended to put the money back.

Jack: But you didnít.

Craig: That's because Ellis, my snake of an accountant, stole it.

Jack: How does that make the situation any better for my son? His financial future is wiped out because of you. And there's a kid in the hospital fighting for his life!

Craig: I didn't start that fire.

Jack: Right.

Craig: I swear to you, Jack, if I knew Gabriel was in there, I would have gone in after him myself! What kind of monster would do that to --?

Jack: Do that to --

Craig: To anybody. To anybody. I'm guilty of a lot of things, Jack, but not that.

Jack: You almost sound sincere.

Craig: I am. I don't like Gabriel, but I would -- I would never hurt him like that -- ever.

Jack: What about you, Carly? You know Craig better than anybody. Do you think he's telling the truth?

Craig: You know me, Carly. I'm a lot of things.

Carly: You certainly are -- a thief, a liar, a hypocrite, and apparently, an arsonist.

Craig: I didn't start that fire. I'm not a killer.

Carly: Are you kidding? When you're desperate, you're capable of anything. You put a bomb in Paulís car when he took over Worldwide. You ran Rosanna off the road to shut her up when she found out you switched Gwen and Jenniferís babies.

Craig: I'm a different man now.

Carly: No, you're not. To answer your question, Jack, I don't think Craig's got a sincere bone in his body. Whoever paid your bail ought to have their head examined, and they should certainly lock up their children.

Craig: Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. I would have thought --

Carly: What?

Craig: Nothing. Never mind. I'll take that as my cue to leave.

Carly: Good. Go. Get out of my sight.

Jack: Don't even think about skipping town because wherever you go, however long it takes, I will find you.

Craig: I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to stay and face the music. And I'll prove that I had nothing to do with what happened to Gabriel, however long that takes.

Jack: Got to hand it to him -- he's good. He almost had me believing him.

Carly: Well, donít. Craig will say anything right now to save his hide.

Jack: What's weird is that he's willing to cop to stealing Parker's money, but not to what happened to Caras.

Carly: Well, that's the trick, isn't it? He admits to the -- the lesser crimes and pleads innocent to the zinger.

Jack: Maybe.

Carly: Come on, Jack. You're smarter than that. Don't let him fool you.

[Jack sighs]

Carly: Hey.

Jack: Hmm?

Carly: You look exhausted, Baby. You've been here most of the night. Why don't we go home? We could have something to eat and have a little rest.

Jack: That sounds good.

Carly: And, uh, we could use some alone time.

Jack: Listen, I've got so many things I've got to take care of here. I got to look over the report from the -- the arson investigation. I got to call the bank reps about Parker's money.

Carly: Hey, they'll -- they'll all be here in a couple of hours. Come on. What good are you going to be to anyone if you're wiped out?

Jack: True.

Carly: Plus, I need you.

Jack: Do you, now?

Carly: Yeah, bad. We haven't had any time together since you got back from Roccoís funeral. Please?

Janet: So, how long are they going to keep Craig?

Dusty: It depends if he makes bail.

Janet: Well, in the meantime, do you need some help with Johnny?

Dusty: No.

Janet: You sure?

Dusty: Yeah, I got it covered. You got your own stuff to worry about.

Janet: Oh, come on. I've been known to juggle more than one thing at a time.

Dusty: You don't have to, not now, but the offer is appreciated.

Janet: So is your understanding. Thanks for not pushing.

Dusty: You need space. I get it.

Janet: Thanks.

Dusty: So, tell me about this place of yours.

Janet: It's -- it's really cute. It's a 3-bedroom walk-up, over by the lake, and it needs a little TLC, but the appliances are fairly new, and the rent's cheap. So, there you go.

Dusty: It sounds great.

Johnny: When can I see it?

Dusty: Well, who knows? Got to ask Janet.

Janet: You are welcome anytime -- both of you.

Carly: Can I fix you something to eat?

Jack: Maybe just some coffee.

Carly: If you have coffee, you won't sleep.

Jack: I don't think I'm going to get much sleeping done, anyway.

Carly: Okay. No sleeping, then.

Jack: Well, what'd you have in mind?

Carly: Um, a little bit of this, a little bit of that.

Jack: Well, you take care of this, and I'll take care of that.

[Laughter]

Jack: I'm sorry I've been so distant lately.

Carly: It's okay. Make it up to me now.

Parker: I thought you were in jail.

Craig: Yeah, well -- surprise, surprise.

Lily: There's nothing about Gabriel being Craig's son in -- in any of these news reports. Obviously, it hasn't gotten out yet.

Holden: I doubt Craig wants anyone to know, under the circumstances.

Lily: Yeah, he was pretty upset when I told him. [Scoffs] I can't even imagine what's going through his mind right now.

Holden: Well, I'm not too worried about what he's thinking. I'm more worried about what he might do. Thank God he's in prison. I don't want him anywhere near you or the kids.

Lily: Do you think all of this would have played out differently if he'd known the truth from the beginning?

Holden: You know what? I wouldn't even go there.

Lily: But I feel so guilty.

Holden: It happened a long time ago. You, Sierra, your mother -- you guys did what you thought you had to do.

Lily: You sound like my mother.

Holden: And I think maybe you should listen to her for once.

Lily: Maybe. But I still feel like I should do something now.

Holden: What are you going to do?

Lily: I don't know, but I can't pretend that I'm not involved.

Holden: I-I think you need to do exactly that -- stay out of it.

Lily: It's not that easy, Holden.

Holden: It's not about what's easy. It's about what's right for our family.

Lily: I'm sorry my mother dragged you into this mess. It's not something you should be worried about.

Holden: No, I'm glad she told me, especially after the way Craig came after her. The guy's a loose cannon right now.

Lily: [Sighs] Not if he's behind bars.

Holden: Well, even if he is, we can't let our guard down. I'm going to go talk to Jack, see what's going on.

Lily: That's a good idea.

Holden: Promise me one thing.

Lily: What?

Holden: If anything happens, anything out of the ordinary, call me.

Lily: I will. And thank you. I do feel safer knowing that you're close by.

[Cell phone ringing]

Holden: Hello?

Molly: It's me.

Holden: Molly, I'm so sorry. Are you still at WOAK? This took a lot longer than I thought it would.

Molly: Oh, that's fine. I mean, I have a ton of work to do around here, anyway. So we'll just have to skip lunch, and I'll just see you at home later, okay?

Holden: All right, that sounds good.

[Knock on door]

Holden: Are you okay?

Molly: Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me.

Silas: Oh, sweet Molly. How beautiful you look.

Holden: Molly, where are you? And is that who I think it is?

Molly: What, Holden? Holden, yeah -- you're breaking up. I'll see you at home.

Holden: I got to go.

Lily: Is everything all right?

Holden: Uh yeah, I hope so. Remember, call me, all right?

Carly: I wish we could stay just like this for the rest of the day.

Jack: So do I.

Carly: When I'm with you like this, the rest of the world fades away.

Jack: You know, sometimes I think we spend too much time making life more complicated than it has to be.

Carly: Well, I think -- I think the remedy for that is to remember what really matters, what's really important. You know, whatever happens, whatever we have to do when things do get complicated.

Jack: All right, as long as we do the right thing. You okay?

Carly: Yeah. I just hope you know how much I love you.

Craig: Parker, I made a mistake. I'm sorry. You have every right to be furious.

Parker: Yeah, well, I'm a little beyond that right now, Craig.

Craig: I don't blame you. And -- and for what it's worth, I-I swear, I meant to put back every single dime once I got Monte Carlo on its feet.

Parker: Why didn't you just ask me for the money? If I'd known what it was for, I would have given it to you!

Craig: I should have, and there's no excuse for me going behind your back like that.

Parker: Yeah well, you know my dad's going to come after you with everything he's got, right?

Craig: Yeah, I'm already feeling the heat, and I deserve most of it. I promise you, somehow, I'm going to make this up to you.

Parker: How?

Craig: I don't know. Do you think there's any way you'll ever be able to forgive me?

Parker: What did you mean that you deserved most of it?

Craig: Not everything I'm being accused of is true. I didn't hurt Gabriel. Ask your father. Even he's starting to doubt that I would do anything that horrible.

Parker: He said that?

Craig: He's a good cop. He can sift through what's real and what isnít. He'll get to the bottom of this. The truth will come out.

Parker: Yeah, well, in the meantime, I want you to stay away from me and my family. From now on, I don't want to have anything to do with you.

Jack: Whoo. I don't know about you, but I'm suddenly starving.

Carly: Well, it's good to know that I can still help you work up an appetite.

Jack: [Chuckles] Always.

Carly: [Sighs] So, what's your pleasure?

Jack: Something fast and filling.

Carly: I think I can scrounge that up.

Janet: Oh, hi. I didn't realize you two would be home. And I obviously should have called first.

Jack: No, Janet. [Chuckling] No, it's -- it's cool. We were just going to go grab some lunch.

Carly: Have you eaten?

Janet: Thanks. I'm not hungry. I'll just drop these off and get out of your hair.

Jack: Janet, relax. Hey, come on. You live here, too.

Janet: Well, luckily, not for much longer -- for you two, I mean.

Jack: What are you talking about?

Carly: You're moving?

Janet: I found a place for Liberty and me.

[Carly chuckles]

Jack: What? So -- so soon? Can you -- can you afford it?

Janet: Well, surprisingly, Pop left me a little bit of money -- not much, but just enough.

Carly: Oh, that's fantastic.

Jack: Well, where is this place?

Janet: It's over on the east side, by the lake. It's a charming apartment.

Carly: Oh, sounds great.

Janet: It is. And it's a 3-bedroom, so I'll have a nursery, and the tenants all seem really nice.

Jack: Wait. Wait a second. The -- the east side? What's the address?

Janet: Uh, Crenshaw Avenue.

Jack: Whoa, hold it. That's where you're moving?

Janet: Yes, it is. Is that a problem?

Jack: Well, yeah, it is. I don't think you should do it.

Janet: Jack, we both know it's time for me to move on.

Jack: But Crenshaw -- come on -- it's not the best of neighborhoods.

Janet: Yes, it is. I was just there. It's charming.

Jack: At night, it's dangerous. There's been a series of home burglaries over the last few months. Plus, it's all the way across town.

Janet: Its 15 minutes away.

Jack: Not with traffic. It could take me a half an hour to get to you if you need me. That's terrible.

Carly: Jack, that's hardly the most important issue here.

Jack: It's going to be a very important issue when she gets closer to her due date.

Janet: Jack, I am not moving out of town, just to the other side of it. It'll be fine.

Jack: But, Janet, why -- why rush into this? I just think -- come on. I think it's great that your father gave you this money, but why settle for the first apartment you get? Wait. Wait. Just be patient, and we'll find you a place a little closer by.

Carly: If she likes the apartment, she should take the apartment.

[Cell phone ringing]

Carly: It's -- its Parker. Hey, Honey, what's up?

Parker: Hey, Mom, we've got a problem. It's a big one.

Carly: Okay. Calm down. Tell me what happened.

Parker: I just ran into Craig. Did you know that he's out on bail?

Carly: Yeah, I know. What did he say?

Parker: He told me that Dad believed him when he said that -- that he didn't go after Gabriel.

Carly: No, he didnít.

Parker: Well, are you sure? Did you talk to Dad?

Carly: Yes. He says he thinks that Craig will say anything to save his skin.

Parker: But what if he manages to convince Dad?

Carly: He wonít. And even if he does, nothing is going to trace back to you. Not if you remember what I told you and don't say anything to anybody.

Parker: But Dad's a good cop, Mom. He's eventually going to ask me questions about Gabriel, and I'll have to keep lying, and I don't know if I can.

Carly: Parker, stop. You can do this. I know you can.

Parker: Mom, I'm scared.

Carly: I know you are, Sweetheart. But hang in there. It's not for much longer. We're going to get through this. Just hold tight and let me take care of it, okay?

Janet: Jack, I appreciate the fact that you are so worried about the baby and me, but we'll be fine. Please, trust me.

Jack: Janet, I do trust you, but I just want to make sure that you and the baby are safe.

Janet: We will be, but we have to leave. And for the sake of your relationship with Carly, you have to let us.

Dusty: Let me check that.

Craig: Hey.

Dusty: You're out?

Craig: For now. Hey, Johnny. How's my boy? Thanks for taking care of him.

Dusty: Of course. We're having a blast.

Craig: What happened?

Dusty: Oh, he twisted his wrist. He took a little tumble.

Craig: A tumble?

Dusty: Yeah, he tripped.

Craig: Did you take him to the hospital? Did you have it checked?

Dusty: Craig, relax. He's fine.

Craig: How do you know its fine?

Dusty: He twisted his wrist. It happens.

Craig: Don't tell me it happens. I trusted you with my kid! This is what you do?

Dusty: Calm down.

Craig: I'm not going to calm down! You have no idea what my son means to me.

Lily: Hello.

Lucinda: Hi. Where's Holden? I thought he was here with you.

Lily: He just left.

Lucinda: Oh. Where'd he go?

Lily: Um, somewhere with Molly, I think. He was in a bit of a hurry.

Lucinda: And you let him leave?

Lily: Yes.

Lucinda: Oh.

Lily: Why would I stop him?

Lucinda: Have you learned nothing from me?

Lily: Mother, we are in the middle of a crisis here.

[Lucinda sighs]

Lily: [Scoffs] Keeping Holden from Molly isn't on the top of my list of priorities.

Lucinda: You don't have to do that, Dear. Craig has taken care of that for you.

Lily: I'm sorry. I'm not quite following what you're doing here.

Lucinda: Darling, there -- I don't know whether you know this, but the Chinese symbol for "Crisis" is exactly the same as the Chinese symbol for "Opportunity." We have Craig, warpath -- crisis. And we have Holden, concern -- opportunity.

Silas: With or without juice?

Molly: Without.

Silas: That's my girl.

Molly: You know, I'm just going to take a sip to be polite. I want to be clear about this -- I am just here to talk about the interview.

Silas: Of course you are.

[Bottle thumps]

Silas: Cheers.

Molly: Yeah, cheers.

Silas: I've had some ideas since the last time we talked.

Molly: Really? Okay. Shoot.

Silas: I'm thinking New York.

Molly: [Chuckles] New York. Why is that, Silas?

Silas: It's where we do the interviews. After all, it is where I fell from grace. What better way to seek redemption than as a humbled man, returning to the scene of the crime?

Molly: Yeah, I think that might come across as a little manipulative.

Silas: Not if I can sell contrition.

Molly: Yeah, that usually has to come along with sincerity, Silas.

Silas: It is. I am.

Molly: Oh, come on. Is that the real reason why you want to go to New York?

Silas: [Sighs] I admit I'd also like a second chance with you there. It's where we fell in love. I'd like a chance to replace the memories I made so ugly with new, better ones.

Molly: You need to stay on topic, okay?

Silas: You are the only topic I really care about. Now, think of it. What's more romantic than Manhattan in the spring?

Molly: I prefer autumn, but that's just me. No, besides, there is no way that I can get out of town right now.

Silas: I'm sure we can arrange it with your station.

Molly: I wasn't thinking about the station. Come to think of it, I think Holden might really like a trip away for a week in New York.

Silas: Who said anything about Holden?

Molly: I did.

Silas: Invite him if you want. I'm not afraid of the competition.

Molly: Trust me, Silas -- there isn't any competition.

Silas: You haven't given me a fair chance.

Molly: [Laughs] Maybe because you don't deserve one.

[Knock on door]

Molly: Hmm. I wonder who that could be?

Silas: Someone we'll ignore.

Molly: Yeah, well, you know what? You never know. It might be important.

Silas: Excuse me. This is a private interview.

Holden: The interview is over. Can I speak with you in private?

Silas: Hold on. She's not going anywhere with you.

Holden: You want to bet? You just don't get it, do you? You think that by opening some champagne and luring Molly here under false pretenses is going to change the fact that she just can't stand you?

Silas: Well, at least I'm making an effort. For someone who claims to be involved with her, you're never around.

Molly: Holden, I wasn't brought here under false pretenses. And, Silas, you're way out of line. Can you give us a few minutes alone, please?

Silas: Since you're asking, okay. I've got some calls to make, anyway. I guess I'll make them in the other room.

Molly: What are you doing here?

Holden: I thought that we agreed that I would always come with you when you met up with this guy.

Molly: Yeah, well, you had something else to do, remember?

Holden: Yeah, and you were working at WOAK. You said nothing about meeting Silas.

Molly: Because -- because it just came up. I mean, we -- we had to discuss the interview.

Holden: Over champagne?

Molly: Silas likes to lay on the charm.

Holden: Yeah, we know that, and we also know where it leads to, Molly.

Molly: Right, yeah, because I'm such a pushover.

Holden: Now, that's not what I meant.

Molly: Why don't you tell me what you did mean?

Holden: You've spent the last couple months trying to distance yourself from this scandal, and here you are, ready to dive into another one.

Molly: I was doing my job. Are you saying that I wasn't acting professionally?

Holden: Interviewing this guy here in his hotel room over champagne? Come on, Molly. What's really going on here?

Molly: Why don't you tell me, Holden?

Holden: I have nothing to explain.

Molly: No? Are you sure about that? How did things go with Lily, anyway? I mean, that's why you had to skip out on our lunch, isn't it? So you could run off and take care of her.

Lily: We decided to keep Craig in the dark. If he had known the truth from the beginning --

Lucinda: Dear, enough! Enough of wringing your hands about Craig. We did what the mother wanted.

Lily: Yes, and after everything is said and done, do you really think we've did the right decision?

Lucinda: Absolutely, yes. I stand by the decision.

Lily: Oh, well, I'm glad that you can.

Lucinda: Well, Darling, may I point out that, for 20 years, you did, too?

Lily: Yes, but now the lies are catching up to us. The one person that we were trying to protect is the one that we've hurt the most.

Lucinda: Well, Honey, of course I feel terrible that -- that Gabriel is hurt. It isn't what we wanted for him.

Lily: [Chuckles] And yet, all you seem to talk about is how I can use the situation to win Holden back.

Lucinda: Yes! Because it's an opportunity for you to get your life back together again, for God's sake! I mean, after all you went through with Damian, wouldn't it be nice to have something good come out of it?

Lily: Mother, you cannot compare the two situations.

Lucinda: I'm just looking out for you.

Lily: Well, you don't have to. I am fully capable of taking care of myself.

Lucinda: Oh, you are? Oh, yeah, sure, I see. Now you're going to tell me your life isn't a mess? I've got news for you, Lily -- it is. And I seem to be the only one that wants to do anything to try to fix it!

Craig: Does that hurt?

Dusty: It's no big deal. He's fine.

Craig: Yeah, of course you'd say that. How would you now? You don't have a child of your own.

Dusty: I consider Johnny to be my son, as well. You're treading on thin ice.

Craig: You have to watch them every second. Otherwise, things like this happen.

Dusty: Come here. I want to talk to you for a minute.

Craig: It can wait.

Dusty: No, it canít.

Craig: I'm going to be right there for a minute, okay?

Dusty: You've got to calm down. You're freaking out Johnny more than his accident did.

Craig: If he'd been with me, there never would have been an accident.

Dusty: I know you're in some kind of trouble, and whatever it is, it's got you on edge.

Craig: It's nothing I can't handle.

Dusty: You shouldn't be handling it around Johnny. I don't think that you're capable of taking care of him right now.

Craig: How dare you.

Dusty: You're facing --

Craig: He's my son.

Dusty: You're facing criminal charges. Do you really want to drag Johnny into that?

Craig: I'm perfectly capable of taking care of my son -- obviously, better than you. Tell you what -- if I need anyone to look after him, I'll call Katie. I don't want you anywhere near him.

[Jack sighs]

Carly: Do you need help?

Janet: No, thanks. We're good. This is the last of it, I hope. If I've forgotten anything, I'll come back for it later, okay?

Jack: I really wish you would let me talk you into waiting. I can help you find a place nearby.

Janet: Jack, this is what's best for everybody. Don't pressure me.

Jack: I'm not trying to pressure you -- I'm just asking you to think. I can help you find a place just as nice in a better part of town.

Janet: I want this place -- end of discussion.

[Jack sighs]

[Carly clears throat]

[Cell phone ringing]

Parker: Hey, Mom.

Carly: Hey. I just wanted to be sure you were okay.

Parker: Well, aside from freaking out, I guess I'm doing fine.

Carly: We're going to get through this.

Parker: Well, you keep saying that.

Carly: Because it's true.

Parker: Can we just stop talking about it?

Carly: Sure, okay. Where are you?

Parker: At the hospital.

Carly: What are you doing there?

Parker: I-I went to check and see how Gabriel was doing.

Carly: Are you sure that's a good idea?

Parker: Don't worry. I'm not going to talk to anybody. I just wanted to see how he's holding up.

Carly: Okay. Okay, well, don't stay long. And for God's sake, don't talk to anybody.

Parker: I wonít.

Carly: Call me later.

Parker: I will.

[Door opens]

Janet: Okay, that's the last of it.

Jack: Can I at least come and check the new place out?

Janet: Sure, absolutely. Just give Liberty and me a few days to get settled, okay?

Jack: I really wish you would let me talk you out of this.

Janet: We'll be fine.

Carly: We know you'll be.

Janet: Thanks for everything -- both of you.

Carly: Good luck.

Janet: Thanks.

Jack: Call me. Call me as soon as you get in the new place, all right?

Janet: Thank you so much. [Sighs] Bye, Carly.

Carly: Bye, Janet. [Laughs]

Jack: Well, that's that.

Carly: Yep.

Jack: And you've got to be relieved that she's finally gone.

Carly: [Sighs] Actually, no, I'm not.

Jack: What's wrong?

Carly: Everything. I don't think this is going to work, Jack.

Holden: I just don't get you.

Molly: I had to do something to get your attention.

Holden: So you could -- what -- make me jealous?

Molly: Yes, yes, okay? Because every time I turn around, you're helping Lily with one crisis or another. And you know what? I'm getting tired of coming in second place.

Holden: Is that how you really feel?

Molly: Sometimes I do, yeah. There. I said it. I can't lie about it anymore.

Holden: So you come to this guy?

Molly: It was stupid, okay? Stupid -- I know that now.

Holden: Molly, I thought you had a little more faith than that.

Molly: I'm not worried about you. I don't trust Lily.

Holden: Well, you need to get over it because I-I just don't know how to convince you that there's nothing for you to worry about.

Molly: Why don't you start with not lying to me anymore?

Holden: I wasn't the one who lied. You're the one who was working at WOAK, and then you come over here to see Silas.

Molly: Silas is work. And you know what? And be honest -- you didn't mention to me one word about going to see Lily. I-if this is going to work, Holden, it has to go both ways.

Holden: Okay, fine. You're right.

Molly: I'm sorry. I'm -- I'm sorry I lied to you, and I'm sorry I dragged you here.

Holden: I'm sorry that you felt you had to.

Molly: Okay. So we're good?

Holden: [Sighs] Let's just -- let's just go home.

Molly: Okay.

[Door closes]

Lily: I'll admit things aren't as settled and manageable in my life as I would like them to be.

Lucinda: That's the understatement of the year, Dear. [Sighs] Your daughter doesn't want to have anything to do with you. She's moved out to be with her father 'cause she wants to put the most distance she can between herself and all this mess.

Lily: Faith and I are working through that.

Lucinda: Oh, really? How's it going?

Lily: Now you're just being cruel.

Lucinda: No, Honey, I'm trying to open your eyes. You're all alone here. You're alone. [Sighs] And the man you still love is out there, shacking up with Molly.

Lily: Stop it, please! Do you think this is helping any--?

Lucinda: Honey, I --no. Focus -- that's all I want. I want you to focus on your family and on -- on your husband and not on the kid Gabriel, not on Craig, who'd like to see the pair of us 6 feet under, anyway.

Lily: All right, that's it. I want you to leave now.

Lucinda: Oh, sure, throw me out because I'm the truth-teller.

Lily: Yeah, because it's the only way to stop you.

Lucinda: You only want to stop me because what I say is real. Honey, you're not a weak woman. You just act like one now and then.

Lily: [Scoffs] Thank you. That's exactly what I needed to hear right now.

Lucinda: [Sighs] Come here. Please, listen to me. Please, do. [Lucinda sighs] Your behavior is dangerous. Craig can smell weakness. You got to stick together. You got to get your husband back in the house here, so that we can deal with him -- all of us, as a family.

[Lily sighs]

Dusty: Janet Ciccone and her daughter Liberty are now your most important tenants.

Landlord: Yeah, they just moved to the top of the list.

Dusty: Good. I don't want any problems with electricity, plumbing -- anything.

Landlord: Whatever you say, Mr. Donovan.

Dusty: I've got all new appliances coming in today, so just tell Janet it's included in the rent.

Landlord: They must be very special to you.

Dusty: You have no idea.

Janet: Dusty, what are you doing here?

Craig: Where's Gabriel?

Parker: I don't know. I stopped by to check on him, and the bed was empty.

Craig: Where would they have taken him?

Parker: You don't think --

Craig: Excuse me.

Nurse: Yes?

Craig: What happened to the patient in that room -- Gabriel Caras?

Nurse: I'm not sure of all the details. I know that there was an emergency and he was rushed into surgery.

Craig: But -- but he's -- he's going to be all right, isn't he?

Nurse: You'll have to wait for an update from the doctor.

Carly: We've been trying. Nobody can deny that. But it seems like that the harder we work at it, the -- the harder it -- it gets.

Jack: What are you talking about? Working hard at what?

Carly: At us, at this, at trying to pretend you're not having a baby with another woman, at trying to ignore the fact that you're not really going to be here with me until that baby is born, and maybe not even then.

Jack: I just want to make sure that they're safe. That doesn't mean that I don't want to be here with you.

Carly: What it means is that you need to be close to Janet until the baby is born. That's why you wanted her to move in here in the first place. That's why you freaked out just now when you found out she was moving across town.

Jack: Carly, I did not freak out.

Carly: Yes, you did. And it's okay. I understand it. She's carrying your child. You feel the need to be in control.

Jack: This isn't about control -- it's about protecting them.

Carly: The point is, you need to be close to them. If you're not close to them, if you're here, you'll start resenting me.

Jack: That's not true at all. I love you. I've come back home to you.

Carly: I want that to be true more than I can say. But you haven't really come back, Jack, not 100%.

Jack: I will be from now on, but, Carly, you can't ask me not to worry about my child.

Carly: No, I'm not. I wouldn't do that.

Jack: Then what are you asking?

Carly: I'm saying you need to go. I think you need to move out.

Jack: [Laughs] What? That's crazy. I -- this is my home. This is our home. We just made love in our bed.

Carly: Yeah, and then Janet showed up, and I lost you again.

Jack: Oh, that is not true, and you know it.

Carly: Trust me, Jack -- this is the best thing for all of us. You gotta go.

Next week, on "As the World Turns" --

Luke: I'm trying to support Noah. That's what he needs. I'm trying to be there for him.

Reid: No, you're not. You're trying to make up for the fact that you kissed me.

Casey: Where are we going next?

[Vienna sighs]

Carmody: We're getting out of here!

Emily: No, I can't leave my baby! Eliza!

Carmody: Let's go!

Emily: Oh, my God, Eliza! [Crying]

Craig: I want to help you to help Parker and me. All you have to do is trust me.
