Paul: What does that mean, that Mick is telling you to think things?
Emily: I don't know.
Paul: He's brainwashing you?
Emily: I don't know. I just got to -- I just got to think for a minute. It's like I can -- I can see his words in my head. It's not like I'm hearing them, but it's like he put the words in my head. He placed them there. Does that make any sense? Do you understand what I'm saying?
Paul: Of course I understand, yes. That's why you said that if I wouldn't have a job with you, that you would have one with Mick.
Emily: I didn't say that.
Paul: Yes, you did.
Emily: I wouldn't say that in a million years to you!
Paul: Are you kidding? Mick put that idea in your head. He's the one who thinks that you should have a job with him.
Emily: Oh, my god. Oh, my god. I think you're right.
Paul: When did this start?
Emily: In the hospital, when I woke up.
Paul: When he woke you up out of the coma.
Emily: [Remembering] Son of a bitch!
You tell me right now what you are up to or I swear to god I will pull the plug on this! I will end this right now!
Mick: Allow me.
Paul: Hey, look at me.
Emily: Oh, my god.
Emily: Oh, my god. Mick knew how to get me out of the coma because he's the one who put me in it.
Casey: Alison. Ali?
Baby did a bad, bad thing baby did a bad, bad thing
baby did a bad, bad thing baby did a bad, bad thing
Alison: Is this really happening? I mean, I feel like I'm in a dream.
Mick: It is happening, and it is a dream. It's mine.
You ever tried with all your heart and soul to get your lover back to you?
I want to hope so you ever pray with all your heart and soul just to watch her walk away?
Baby did a bad, bad thing baby did a bad, bad thing baby did a bad, bad thing
feel like crying feel like crying you ever toss and turn your lying awake and thinking about the one you love?
I don't think so you ever close your eyes you making believe you're holding the one you're dreaming of?
Well, if you say so
It hurts so bad when you finally know just how low, low, low, low, low she'll go
Lily: "Cara, even these beautiful words cannot truly express my love for you." Hi, sweetheart. How are you?
Luke: I've been at work all morning, mom. I've called Damian about a dozen times. He's not answering his phone or returning my messages.
Lily: I know this must be so hard for you.
Luke: Hard? Try next to impossible. He didn't give me any instructions, any directions. He just dumps this company on me and leaves, and everybody there's in an uproar because nobody wants to take orders from me. And you know what? I don't blame them, because I have no idea what I'm supposed to tell them to do.
Lily: Your father's made a lot of mistakes.
Luke: Yeah? Well, I think leaving me in charge of this company is one of the biggest.
Lily: That's not true.
Luke: Okay, mom. I know that something's up, so why don't you just tell me? What did Damian do that was so horrible that he had to abandon his company and his family?
Holden: Thank you. Hey.
Molly: Hey. I left you three messages.
Holden: I got them.
Molly: So, what? You just chose to ignore them and me?
Holden: No. I'm trying to find my sister. I was just talking to the desk clerk to see if she's seen her, but she hasn't. I'm just focused on that right now. That's all.
Molly: Okay. Well, hopefully she'll come back soon, because now she doesn't have to be afraid of Damian because he's away.
Holden: Yeah. That's what I'm hoping, too. Eliza needs her mom.
Molly: Right. So, did you see a doctor yet about those bruises and cuts? Because they were pretty bad.
Holden: Molly, I'm fine.
Molly: No, you are not. You weren't then, and you aren't now. You're hurt, and I'm pretty sure Damian was, too.
Holden: It's over. Let it go.
Molly: I can't.
Holden: Why not?
Molly: Because, Holden, I went down to the docks where you fought Damian before he supposedly got on that freighter.
Holden: He did.
Molly: You sure about that?
Holden: What are you saying?
Molly: When I was down at the docks, I met someone who saw the whole thing go down. Do you hear what I'm saying, Holden? There was a witness.
Lily: Maybe we should stop trying to figure out why Damian did what he did and just move on.
Luke: How can you do that? What if he never comes back, mom? How can you move on if we don't have answers?
Lily: Luke, I am begging you, can we please not have this conversation right now?
Luke: You are not telling me the whole truth.
Lily: Luke, I have a miserable headache. I just want to lay down and close my eyes and not think about anything for ten minutes. Please understand.
Luke: I'm sorry, mom, but I don't understand. Not at all.
Lily: How can someone capable of so much love be capable of so much hatred?
Holden: What the hell were you doing down at the docks?
Molly: Because I'm worried sick about you. Haven't you figured that out yet?
Holden: Come here. I thought I asked you not to go poking around.
Molly: Come on, Holden. Any junior beat cop could have figured out what happened down there. There was a broken railing, there was a cracked door, right out there in the open. It looked like one hell of a fight.
Holden: All right. If that's what you were looking for --
Molly: Oh, come on! I'm not being a reporter here! I'm looking out for you.
Holden: Who was this witness?
Molly: A little boy.
Molly: A little boy. He was hiding behind a barrel. He was scared to death.
Holden: What was he doing down there?
Molly: I don't know.
Holden: What did he say?
Molly: He said that he saw two men fighting and there was blood, and then he ID'd you as one of the people.
Molly: Yeah. I showed him a photo of you.
Holden: You showed him a photo of me? Why would you do that?
Molly: Because he said that he heard you calling the man you were fighting with Damian.
Holden: You know that I fought. I told you that. Why would you go down there to try and prove it?
Molly: Because I'm looking out for you! I'm trying to help you, for god's sakes! So, I need you to talk to me now, and this time I need you to tell me the whole truth.
Holden: I told you, I argued with Damian. He grabbed an ore. I fought him back.
Molly: Okay, I know. Yes, and you were cut, and you were bleeding.
Holden: What's your point?
Molly: I know what Damian did to you, Holden. But what did you do to Damian?
Lily: May I help you?
Victor: Yes. I'm sorry to bother you, ma'am. My name's victor. I work at the docks.
Victor: Are you Damian Grimaldi's wife?
Lily: Yes. This is Damian's wallet. Why is this so wet?
Victor: I found it floating in the water, ma'am. I hope everything is all right.
Alison: I don't understand this at all.
Mick: You don't have to yet.
Alison: Mick, I mean it. I don't know how I got here. I don't know what brought me here.
Mick: What just happened between us is what brought you here. It has a power all of its own.
Alison: And you have a power over me.
Mick: No. You came here because you wanted to. What we want doesn't line up with what we have. It causes conflict, and that's why you feel confused, but you came here on your own because you wanted to. Alison, don't.
Alison: I can't -- I can't stay. I can't be here. I can't do this.
Mick: Stay. Hey. I want you to stay.
Alison: I can't. Do you know what I've done by coming here to be with you?
Mick: Alison, look. Look at me, please. Look at me. You need to realize this is not only where you want to be, but this is where you belong. You belong with me.
Alison: How can I belong with you? I don't even know who you are!
Mick: Yes, you do. You know exactly who I am. You're the only one that sees it.
Alison: Don't put that on me.
Mick: You do. You see me. You're the only one who does, the only one who ever has.
Alison: And who am I seeing, exactly? Who? You told me you're two people, that you have two different sides. So, which side got me here today and got me to sleep with you, and which side is this?
Mick: It's both. It's both. You see both sides.
Alison: This is crazy. I kissed you, and then -- and then we were -- how did it happen so fast? How did I let everything in my life and who I am just slip away in a crazy burst of --
Mick: What? Say it. Say what we are. Don't keep it inside. And then we can --
Alison: Stop. We -- don't say what you were gonna say. We can't.
Mick: Okay. Then let's leave.
Alison: I'm trying.
Mick: No, together.
Mick: Let's leave Oakdale together. I certainly don't belong here. You don't, either. So, let's go. Both of us. Right now.
Emily: Could Mick have been using me this entire time? But why? What for? Was it just about your money?
Paul: I don't know. Let's just piece it together chronologically, okay? You said that he put you into a coma, right? Why did you say that?
Emily: I don't know. I -- I can't -- I can't remember the details.
Paul: Well, could you try?
Emily: I know I confronted him about something.
Paul: About what?
Emily: I don't know. I just know -- I just know that I did and then he did something. I just -- oh, god. I just can't see it in my head, for the life of me. I can't remember what he did!
Paul: Hey, hey, hey. Mick is not here, not now, okay? And I am here. So, Mick's not gonna get to you, and all you have to do is concentrate and just say whatever it is that's coming back into your head, all right? Whatever it is, no matter how unimportant you think it might be. Just say it. Say it.
Emily: He had a file of you in his bag.
Paul: What was in the file?
Emily: A photograph -- photographs. Lots of photographs.
Paul: Photographs of?
Emily: Of you. I went to confront him about it -- I went to confront him about it at church, at the church -- at all angels church.
Paul: You think Mick put you into a coma to try and shut you up?
Emily: I don't know. I don't remember. I just know that I asked him flat out.
Mick: I would appreciate a little honesty. What you're talking about isn't rumors. That's an accusation. So, what exactly do you suspect?
Emily: Honestly -- honestly, I don't think you are who you claim to be.
Mick: You're right. I'm not.
Emily: The way he said it, I knew I caught him. I was on to the fact that he wasn't who he said he was. That's all I remember.
Paul: Well, if he's not Mick Dante, then who is he?
Alison: What do you mean, "leave Oakdale"?
Mick: Exactly what you just said.
Alison: So I just run away from my family, my life?
Mick: Your fiancé. Alison, I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm just saying that you're the one who came to me, and we made love together. So, whatever you feel for Casey --
Alison: No, no, Mick. I'm telling you right now, don't say his name, don't mention him, and don't any way, shape, or form make a comparison.
Mick: But you came to me.
Alison: And it was wrong!
Mick: No. You're only saying that because you think that you have to say that.
Alison: No! I will be saying that the rest of my life. This was a huge mistake. I'm -- I just -- I don't -- I can't figure it out. I don't know what made me come here, and it will never happen again!
Mick: No, you don't believe that.
Alison: Mick, I know that. Please, I need you to hear me. This is never gonna happen again.
Mick: I hear you, but I don't believe you.
Alison: Just leave me alone.
Mick: Alison --
Alison: No. You got in to my head and you got in to my dreams and I couldn't make it stop, so I acted on impulse, but it was a mistake, okay? This isn't -- this isn't who I am. This isn't who I want to be.
Mick: You don't love Casey.
Alison: You have no idea what's in my heart.
Mick: I think I do know.
Alison: No. I have worked so hard to live my life the right way.
Mick: Well, what has that gotten you? I saw you at your shower. You looked so uncomfortable, you wanted to crawl out of your own skin!
Alison: Because I was thinking of you and I shouldn't have been! But I won't anymore, and don't say that I can't control how I feel, because just save it, because I can, okay?
Mick: You signed on with Casey to make up for past mistakes.
Alison: I didn't sign anything. I love Casey. He's the best thing that ever happened to me.
Mick: No. Now you've realized being with someone because they look good on paper, that doesn't solve anything, and marrying someone because your family wants you to, that's not a good reason to say "I do." That's a disaster waiting to happen.
Alison: No. This was. I wish I could have known that I was gonna feel this way so soon after -- after doing what we did. Maybe then I would have stopped myself.
Mick: Marrying Casey is a mistake.
Alison: No, this was. I love Casey.
Mick: Have you ever -- have you ever felt with Casey what you just felt with me right now? And I don't mean the physical. I mean the intimacy, because that's what we just shared. Have you ever been as intimate with the man that you love and you say you're gonna marry as you were with me just now, ever?
Alison: You're wrong! You are wrong about me, and you're wrong about Casey, and you're wrong about us.
Barbara: She's the least of your problems, James.
Paul: I'm gonna kill him.
Emily: Don't talk like that, Paul.
Paul: No, I am. Come on. The guy who you supposedly trust puts you in a hypnotic state. I'm supposed to be okay with that?
Emily: We don't know who -- what we're dealing with. Who is this Mick, and what the hell does he want from us?
Paul: I don't know, but I'm betting it's not good.
Barbara: I should never have believed anything you've ever said to me.
Mick: What exactly are you accusing me of lying about?
Barbara: Every word that you said about your feelings for me was a lie.
Mick: No, because this has nothing to do with that. We still have everything in place. We still have a plan.
Barbara: Really? Because I didn't get the e-mail about you sleeping with Alison Stewart as being a part of our plan!
Molly: It's too dangerous to talk at the Lakeview. You know too many people there, and I don't want them to hear what we're talking about.
Holden: You mean accusing me of murdering Damian Grimaldi?
Molly: I did not say that and you know it.
Holden: Yeah, but that's what you think, isn't it? That's why you're investigating me like you're running a piece on the 6:00 news.
Molly: I want to find out what happened to you that night because you matter to me, Holden, and I'm scared for you.
Holden: Yeah, and all I want is for you to drop it. Okay, fine. Fine. What exactly do you want me to tell you?
Molly: I want you to tell me everything you haven't told me so far.
Holden: Damian came after me, and it got ugly.
Molly: The fight?
Molly: And somewhere in the middle of all of that ugliness, he pleaded with you to let him go?
Molly: See, Holden, that's the part I'm having a hard time believing. After everything that Damian's done, you gave him what he wanted most?
Holden: Because he made a good point.
Molly: About what?
Holden: About what a trial would do to my family. The idea of him going away, I couldn't pass that up.
Molly: Despite the fact that he tried to kill your sister?
Holden: I had three options, molly. Either have him arrested and let this thing go to trial or I could make sure that he goes away and stays away or I could kill him, and I opted for the second choice.
Molly: That couldn't have been an easy decision to make.
Holden: After he came at me with the ore, I saw that the ship was leaving, so I dragged him onto the deck and I left him there. Then I jumped back onto the dock and I watched the ship sail away.
Molly: When you left him there on the deck, was he breathing?
Holden: As far as I know. Listen, molly, it's over. I want to forget about Damian Grimaldi. I just want to find my sister. But if you keep bringing this up, I can't do that.
Molly: No, I won't, I won't, I won't. I'll let it go.
Holden: You mean that?
Molly: I do.
Holden: Thank you.
Molly: Whatever happened with Damian --
Holden: Is in the past. And as long as it stays in the past, my family will be safe.
Molly: You have my word. You do. I won't tell anyone about this. I promise.
Holden: I appreciate that. So, are you gonna move back out to the farm?
Molly: What? Oh, my god. You think that I only agreed to keep quiet so that you'd let me stay with you?
Holden: No. I'm just saying --
Molly: No! My god, Holden. I owe you my silence, if nothing else, after what I did to you. This time, my silence is for the right reasons.
Molly: Luke, hi.
Luke: Hi. Do you have a minute?
Molly: Is something wrong?
Luke: Do you know what happened to Damian?
Holden: Hey. What is it? You look scared.
Lily: This is Damian's wallet. A dock worker brought it to me.
Holden: Wow. That's -- that's strange.
Lily: He found it in the water, Holden. How?
Holden: I have no idea.
Lily: Do you think something's happened to him?
Holden: What do you mean?
Lily: You know exactly what I mean!
Holden: Lily --
Lily: I think something terrible has happened to him.
Holden: Why don't you just come out and say it.
Lily: I think meg killed him. - ( Audience applauds ) - ( piano playing )
Holden: Lily, that's a huge jump to make off someone who just lost their wallet.
Lily: No. Damian has disappeared. Luke has left him message after message and he's heard nothing.
Holden: And he won't.
Lily: How can you be so sure?
Holden: Because Damian's in hiding.
Lily: No. What if meg got to him first?
Holden: Listen, Damian, he was running away. He was desperate. After everything that happened, it's in the realm of possibility that in the heat of the moment, he lost his wallet.
Lily: What if he never got on that ship? What if he did and meg knew he was there and she was there waiting for him?
Holden: You're making up scenarios that have no basis in fact.
Lily: Look, I know meg is your sister and Damian did terrible things to her, but she could have done something to him just as easily. But you don't care, do you? You think it's justifiable.
Holden: Lily, he strangled her. He stuffed her in a chest and left her for dead. Forgive me for not having any compassion for the guy.
Lily: Well, like it or not, I'm still married to him, and I hate what he's become and I will never forgive him for this, but I don't want him dead!
Molly: Why are you asking me about Damian?
Luke: Well, I know you're close with my father and you spoke to my mother at the hospital and they're not telling me the real reason why Damian left town. They're trying to protect me, but I don't need to be protected.
Molly: Parents naturally want to protect their children.
Luke: Well, Holden is my dad, you know. He raised me, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Damian.
Molly: So, you think of him as your father, too.
Luke: He left me the family company. He said goodbye to me like I would never see him again, and I just need to know what he did beyond what happened in Kentucky.
Molly: Look, I know that you love Damian, but I'm not so sure that you're ever gonna see him again after what he tried to do to your aunt meg.
Luke: What did he do?
Molly: He tried to kill her.
Alison: Hey! You're back!
Casey: You too.
Alison: I thought you'd still be at the library.
Casey: They closed early. They're painting it.
Alison: Wow. That's a bummer. Cold outside, right? I can't catch my breath.
Casey: Yeah. Alison, where were you? And are you okay?
Alison: I -- I honestly don't know.
Casey: Wait. You don't know where you were or you don't know if you're okay?
Alison: After you left, I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk.
Casey: You're shivering.
Alison: Well, like I said, you know, it's cold outside. Casey, you don't want to even touch me. I'm, like, freezing right now. I'm an ice cube.
Casey: Well, I have a solution for that.
Alison: I thought we agreed that we weren't gonna do that until after the wedding.
Casey: No. I -- I wasn't trying to -- listen, I'm talking about after the wedding.
Alison: I don't know what you're talking about.
Casey: My dad's offered to pay for the honeymoon, as a wedding gift.
Casey: I know, right? I think it's my dad's way of saying, like, he and my mom were on board with everything. He was so happy about it.
Alison: That's -- it's so generous. I'm sorry.
Casey: Are you crying?
Alison: No. It's just -- it's such a -- it's such a beautiful gift.
Casey: Yeah, I thought so, too, but you don't have to cry about it.
Alison: I know, I know. I'm just -- they've been so supportive and everything.
Casey: Well, they see how happy you make me. You know, and they all love you. I do, too. So, what do you think about Costa Rica, huh? You know, you always said you wanted to go there. I just think we could get to one of those beach-side huts, never leave, pretty much make love all day.
Casey: What? I can't kiss my fiancée?
Alison: I'm just -- I'm just so gross right now, you know, from the walk. I just need to take a shower, okay?
Mick: You need to stay out of my business, Barbara.
Barbara: I need to? Really?
Mick: Yeah, really.
Barbara: So? All that talk about us starting over as young, beautiful, in love -- that was just a lie? Your desire to be the kind of man you never were? The kind of father that Paul could be proud of? That was just a crock?
Mick: No, that -- look, this has nothing to do with that!
Barbara: The hell it doesn't! You just threw it all away! And what for? A roll in the sack with Alison Stewart?
Mick: You're right. I wasn't thinking.
Barbara: You weren't thinking? That's your reasoning behind having sex with that girl?
Mick: I forgot how easy it is for you to assume the worst of me. You are the only woman I desire, Barbara. Nothing happened with Alison, and nothing will.
Barbara: And why should I believe anything you have to say?
Mick: Because you are the love of my life, Barbara. You are my bride, and it slipped through my fingertips. But now that I have a second chance, I won't ruin it again. You are what I want.
Barbara: Well, then, James, you're going to have to prove it.
Emily: I threw myself at him! I feel like an idiot!
Paul: What about me? I gave him all that money. I funded all of his experiments.
Emily: No, no! You only did it because I asked you to! I'm the one who did it!
Paul: The guy is a narcissist, okay? He's a sociopath! That's what they do, all right? They get you to believe everything that they say and they ruin your life and they pat you on the back at the same time! Believe me, I know! I've been dealing with guys like him my -- I've been dealing with guys like him my whole life.
Emily: What? What is it?
Paul: It's nothing. I'm gonna find him, and I'm gonna put an end to him, once and for all.
Keep it coming, love
Luke: Damian kept telling me that -- that everything he did, he did to protect the family and that he loved me and my mom. And why would he say those things after everything he's done?
Molly: Because I think he meant it. I do. I just think he was desperate.
Luke: Yeah. Thank you, molly.
Molly: I'm sorry. I really wish none of this had ever happened.
Luke: Me too.
Holden: Luke. What are you -- what are you doing here?
Luke: I asked molly some questions, and I actually got some answers. But, dad, just so you know, I'm -- I'm really glad you're okay.
Molly: He wanted to know what you and lily weren't telling him about what happened with Damian. I didn't tell him about anything that went down at the docks. I just told him what Damian did to meg and how everything happened at the end.
Holden: Lily didn't want him to know how bad it was.
Molly: Did you?
Holden: I didn't think it was my information to tell. Damian is his father.
Molly: Yeah, but Luke thinks of you as his father. He always has. He always will.
Holden: Still, I just feel bad for him. It's like he's always stuck in the middle of us.
Molly: Are you upset with me for telling him the truth?
Holden: No, not at all. Actually, I think it's probably better that it came from you.
Molly: Well, let's hope lily thinks so. Or it's just one more thing to put in her big pot of why I hate molly more and more soup. What are you doing here, anyway?
Holden: Do you remember when you said that you thought that you owed me? I need your help.
Luke: Mom, why didn't you tell me?
Lily: Because I didn't want you to feel the way I see you feeling right now.
Luke: I just can't -- you know, I thought he changed. I thought he wasn't this -- this monster that I grew up thinking he was, but now I hear all these stories about him, and -- no. That's -- that's not the person I grew to know. That's not who you knew.
Lily: That's the part that's so impossible.
Luke: But how can he do that? How can he be, like, two different people? How can he keep that up?
Lily: That's just it. You can't, not for long.
Luke: What's all that?
Lily: It's -- it's Damian's wallet.
Luke: Why do you have it?
Lily: A man brought it to me. He found it by the docks.
Luke: Do you think it fell when Damian was boarding the freighter?
Lily: Most likely.
Luke: It's soaked through.
Lily: The man said that he found it floating in the water. I guess it fell in when he was boarding.
Luke: You don't believe that. Neither do I.
Mick: I'm not going to make love to you in this filthy church, Barbara.
Barbara: That wouldn't have stopped us when we were young.
Mick: Next time we're together, we'll be in someplace beautiful and magical.
Barbara: Does Alison want you?
Mick: Well, she has a crush, but it's harmless. She's getting married, so she's nervous, but it is unrequited, and it will stay that way. I promise.
Barbara: Make love to me now.
Mick: I promise you youth, beauty, and health, and until you have those things, until you feel at ease and like yourself, then we won't be together, but don't doubt me. You are my future.
Mick: Hello. Emily. How are you feeling?
Emily: I'm feeling well, thank you, but Paul isn't budging. He's refusing to even consider the IVF treatment. I really think we need to talk about our plans for the baby.
Mick: We do.
Emily: How about right now?
Mick: I'll be right over.
Emily: He didn't hesitate.
Paul: Well, then, neither will I.
Barbara: What was that all about?
Mick: Emily trusts me implicitly, just like you should. We'll go over there and talk to her together. Does that make you feel better?
Barbara: Oh, yes. Like Emily, I trust you implicitly.
Mick: Good. I'll put on some shoes and I'll meet you there.
Barbara: And nothing happened with Alison?
Mick: Barbara, please. Have faith.
Casey: You feel better?
Casey: Since I can't study, I was wondering if maybe we can work on our wedding vows.
Alison: Seriously? I mean, now?
Casey: Yeah. We talked about doing them together.
Alison: I know, I know. I'm just -- I'm not really good at that kind of thing.
Casey: Like I am? Come on! We can practice. I, Casey, take thee --
Alison: Alison, to be my --
Casey: Where's your -- where's your engagement ring? Even at night things are busy around here
Holden: So, this dock worker found Damian's wallet in the water near the freighter. Why are you looking at me like that?
Molly: His wallet was in the drink?
Holden: Could have happened before I got there. Maybe he tossed it in or maybe it fell out while I was dragging him on board.
Holden: Lily seems to think that it's some sort of omen.
Molly: Of what?
Holden: I don't know, that something happened to Damian.
Molly: Something did happen to Damian!
Holden: She thinks that meg got to him.
Molly: Did you tell her that's not possible?
Holden: I told her that it was not likely.
Molly: It's just getting more and more complicated by the minute.
Holden: Listen, I'm really worried that she might go to the police with all this. Because of meg, for crying out loud. My sister, she's on the run, and if the police catch up with her, I'm afraid she might get caught in the middle of something that she's just not ready to handle.
Molly: Okay, I hear you. I do.
Holden: I'm responsible for the condition that Damian was in when he left town, and if lily thinks that meg might be -- listen. I just want to find her before the police get to her. Will you help me do that?
Molly: Yes, of course I will, Holden. I'm on your side.
Luke: Mom, do you think that something happened to Damian at the docks? That finding the wallet in the water means that something happened to him, and no more half truths, please.
Lily: I'm afraid it was meg.
Luke: Are you serious?
Lily: She ran after him, Luke. I saw her. I heard her. Damian left her for dead in that trunk and he took off, and she went after him.
Luke: Well, then what do we do?
Lily: I don't know. Your father thinks that after everything Damian's done to me, I shouldn't care what happens to him, but I do.
Luke: But we can't just pretend that this didn't happen.
Lily: I know, baby. I'm with you on that.
Luke: Yeah. That's why I have to do it.
Lily: Have to do what?
Luke: Call the police.
Alison: I found it!
Casey: You found it?
Alison: It was in the soap dish in the shower where I left it. I just am so sleep-deprived, I completely forgot. I'm sorry.
Casey: I have to tell you, I was picturing having to explain to my great grandmother losing it, and I just got nauseous thinking about it.
Alison: Case, I'm so sorry.
Casey: No, it's okay. I just panicked. I just like to think of it as more than just an engagement ring.
Alison: What else is it?
Casey: Well, my great grandparents, you know, have the longest marriage of any two people I know. I thought it would be, you know, a good-luck charm for us, just the same.
Alison: You are the sweetest man. I have to go.
Alison: Yeah. I -- I completely forgot. You are marrying such a space cadet. I have a meeting with the woman who's dying my shoes for the wedding.
Casey: But you have to go now?
Alison: Yeah. I mean, there's a wait list, and they're shoes. They have to be perfect.
Casey: Listen, you haven't slept in 36 hours.
Alison: Oh, it's okay. I'm fine. Seriously. I'm sure I'll just crash when I get home and everything. And I'll sleep after we're married. I love you.
Mick: There's a reason
you left this behind.
Barbara: Emily, everything all right?
[Mick grunts] Oh! Paul, Paul!
Paul: Who are you? Who are you?
Mick: Don't do this!
Paul: You almost killed my wife! You give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you!
Barbara: Because he's your father!
Next week on "as the world turns --
Janet: She has to survive this.
Jack: We'll help her through it. Come here.
Alison: What are you doing? Mick!
Mick: Come with me.
Paul: You tell me where he is or, so help me, I will shoot you.
Lily: If someone did hurt Damian, I don't think it was meg.
