Cop: We were supposed to meet in the parking lot.
Barbara: I got tired of waiting for you. It's freezing outside, and I want this done immediately. His name is Mick Dante -- at least, that's what he says. I want you to run that for prints, find out if he really is who he says he is and if he's got a record.
Cop: What -- I do this out of the goodness of my heart?
Barbara: I haven't forgotten our arrangement. Just don't spend it all in one place. And I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Thank you. Oh!
Henry: And here I thought bribing an officer of the law was illegal.
Emily: Hey. Where are you? I thought you were upstairs.
Paul: I had to go out.
Emily: Well, obviously. Where are you?
Paul: I'm with Mick. He's agreed to come with us to see this fertility expert.
Emily: Now? Right now? I mean, is that really necessary?
Paul: Well, he's as anxious as we are to make sure that the treatments are working. Isn't that right, Mick?
Emily: Okay. How did you convince a doctor to see us this late?
Paul: Come on. Who can resist my charm?
Emily: Honey, I know you're having doubts about this, but I'm not. We're gonna have a baby. I just know it.
Paul: Well, let's just hope the doctor agrees. Em, hold on a sec, okay? I've got another call.
Meg: Paul, thank God. It's Meg. Listen to me. I'm in trouble. I need your help.
Alison: [Sighs] Insert plastic part c-two into round wooden expander d-four. All right. [Chuckles] Except there is no part c-two. I have a c-one and a c-three, and neither fits into d-four.
Casey: Looks like you can use a hand.
Alison: Yeah, you think?
Alison: Didn't you just clock out?
Casey: Yeah, I can spare a few minutes.
Alison: Think this is gonna be just a few minutes?
Casey: Yeah, I can spare more than a few minutes, right?
Alison: You don't have, like, a hot date with Maddie?
Casey: Nope. We broke up.
[Piano music plays]
Maddie: Great, just what I need. [Sighs] Dude, some of us are trying to study. Maybe we can keep it down. Just --
Maddie: Unbelievable. Unbelievable.
Jack: Oh, I got that for you.
Rosanna: Oh, Jack, hi.
Jack: Hey, how are you?
Rosanna: Thank you.
Jack: Christmas shopping?
Rosanna: Oh, picking up a few little last-minute things for the wedding.
Rosanna: You're coming, aren't you?
Jack: Oh, I'm not sure I'm on the guest list anymore. I was at Craig's bachelor party.
Rosanna: Oh. [Laughs] You?
Jack: Yeah, well, I'm not sure you can call it a bachelor party. I kind of happened upon him by accident. He was drinking alone at Yo's, and I came in for a beer. Dusty and Paul did the same.
Rosanna: You, Dusty and Paul were with Craig?
Jack: Oh, don't worry about a thing -- he held his own. I should get going.
Rosanna: Jack, I know that you think that I am making a mistake marrying Craig.
Jack: It's none of my business, Rosanna.
Rosanna: But he has changed, okay?
Jack: If you say so.
Rosanna: Haven't you ever wanted a second chance at making something right?
Jack: Yeah, I have. But then again, I'm not Craig Montgomery.
Craig: I'm serious, Carly. I can't get you out of my head.
Carly: Craig, now is not the time for this.
Craig: I'm getting married tomorrow!
Carly: That's my point. Go home, take a shower and sleep it off.
Craig: I can't. Ever since we kissed the other day --
Carly: That kiss was a -- an impulsive, horrible mistake.
Craig: Was it? Or was it a sign that there's still something between us?
Carly: You want to know what's between us? My sister!
Craig: I know!
Carly: And you're marrying her tomorrow!
Craig: I know! I know! And I love her -- I do.
Carly: Then what the hell are you doing here?
Craig: Because it finally hit me today what's holding me back, why I can't give myself over to her completely.
Carly: And what's that?
Craig: Closure. With everything that we've been through, that's the one thing we haven't been able to achieve.
Carly: You want closure? Fine. How's this for closure?
Craig: No, no, no. You need to let go of me, and I need to let go of you.
Carly: Craig, I let you go of you the moment I found out you slept with my sister!
Craig: Not really. No, you didn't, not really. I felt it in that kiss, and I see it every time I look in your eyes.
Carly: Craig, go home to Rosanna. She's waiting for you.
Craig: I can't, 'cause you'll still be there. You'll be right in my head.
Carly: How is that my problem? What is it you want me to do?
Craig: Sleep with me -- tonight, one last time. Help me put this behind us so we can just walk away from each other for good.
Carly: You want me to sleep with you the night before you marry my sister? You're insane.
Craig: No, no, no. Just follow my thinking to the end, and you'll get my logic.
Carly: There's no logic, Craig. You're just looking for a cheap thrill.
Craig: What about those things you said to me when you first found out about me and Rosanna? I haven't forgotten them. They've stayed with me.
Carly: Mm-hmm. You mean, when I said you're weak and disgusting and I can't believe that I trusted you?
Craig: When you said you could get me back any time you wanted.
Carly: I don't want you, Craig.
Craig: But you did. The way you whispered those words in my -- wow, I can still feel your breath on my neck.
Carly: I was making a point about how predictable you are, about how you're incapable of putting anyone ahead of yourself.
Craig: Yes, I am. That's why I'm here.
Carly: No, you're here because you're a coward. If you don't want to marry Rosanna, you tell her. Don't use me to try to get out of it.
Craig: But that's just it. I love her. I don't want out.
Carly: Then go home!
Craig: No, not until you and I have settled things.
Carly: We have.
Craig: No, we haven't. You're fighting it, but I know you can feel it, too -- that pull between us.
Carly: I cannot believe you would do this to Rosanna.
Craig: I'm not doing it to Rosanna -- I'm doing it for Rosanna. If we make love tonight, everybody wins.
Carly: [Laughs] How is that?
Craig: We break the tension between you and me right at the source. I can let go of you. You can let go of me. And I get to marry Rosanna tomorrow with a bond that's stronger than ever. And I know you want that for us, too.
[Slow piano music plays]
Hunter: Maddie! What are you doing here?
Maddie: Listening to you. And, wow, I had no idea you could play like that. I had no idea you could play at all, actually.
Hunter: You know, it's not polite to spy on people.
Maddie: I wasn't. It's kind of hard to ignore -- the way you were playing.
Hunter: That's not the point. This wasn't ready for anyone to hear.
Maddie: You're crazy. You're great.
Hunter: Don't -- don't -- don't do that.
Maddie: Do what?
Hunter: Maddie, look, I'm serious. Look, just, next time, mind your own business.
Alison: So, I thought things were going well between you and Maddie. What happened?
Casey: I don't know. We were trying, maybe a little bit too hard. It just -- things changed.
Alison: It seems like they changed pretty fast.
Casey: It just wasn't working, you know, like -- like it used to and I guess we were the ones who changed, and by getting back together, we realized that.
Alison: And this time it's for real?
Casey: What does that mean?
Alison: Well, Case, I mean, this isn't the first time I've heard this. I mean, during winter break, you and Maddie got back together. Then you broke up again. I mean, this isn't the first time you've said this to me.
Casey: Yes, and now I guess now we know it's true. [Scoffs]
Alison: Well, then, I'm sorry.
Casey: Don't be. It is what it is. We just -- we just wanted different things, you know?
Alison: So, what is it that you want now?
Casey: I want to help you with these toys.
Henry: Why are you trying to get dirt on Mick Dante?
Barbara: I'm not. Paul has invested a great deal of money into his research. I just want to make sure the guy's legit.
Barbara: And -- and -- well, what do you mean?
Henry: Oh, come -- let's call a Barbara a Barbara, okay? There is the edge in your voice. There's a little twinkle in your eye. It screams of personal agenda.
Barbara: Do you see a twinkle in my eye?
Henry: Yes, yes. It's the twinkle of subterfuge.
Henry: What is your angle?
Barbara: I don't have an angle. I told you, I have Paul's interests in mind. What are you doing for dinner?
Henry: [Chuckles] There's something you're not telling me.
Barbara: Well, a girl has to have her secrets, doesn't she?
Meg: Damian is setting me up. He's convinced everybody that I'm crazy and that I have made up an entire relationship with him.
Paul: Well, have you?
Paul: Where are you?
Paul: You're in the hospital?
Meg: Yes. And I don't know what to do. I don't know who else to call. Paul, please. Please, help me.
Paul: Okay. Look, calm down, okay? I'll get there as soon as I can. Em, you still there?
Emily: What's going on?
Paul: Something's come up and I need to take care of it immediately.
Emily: Well, what is it?
Paul: I'll explain when I get home.
Emily: Well, wait a minute. What about the doctor's appointment?
Paul: I'll just have to reschedule.
Emily: Okay. All right, I'll see you when you get home. Love you.
Paul: Yeah, I love you, too. You got the gist.
Mick: You have to reschedule. When?
Paul: You'll know when I know.
Mick: What if I'm busy?
Paul: I'm your biggest investor, Mick. You'll make yourself available to me, or I'll walk away, and I'll take my money with me and Emily and my mother.
Paul: Dough boy: (Giggling)
Mick: I was with Paul when he had to cancel the doctor's appointment. I just thought I'd stop by and see how you were doing.
Emily: Aw, that was very nice of you. Unnecessary, but thank you.
Mick: How you feeling?
Mick: No more dizzy spells?
Emily: No. No, nothing. I think whatever you're doing to me is working. [Chuckles]
Mick: Excellent. Well, since I'm here, maybe we could make sure that you're progressing on schedule?
Emily: Oh, you want to draw my blood now?
Mick: If that's all right. I just feel like we should still monitor you very closely.
Emily: Yeah, absolutely. Thank you. So, you were with Paul earlier today. Did you happen to overhear what the emergency was, why he had to cancel my doctor's appointment?
Mick: No, but it had something to do with Meg?
Emily: What? Meg Snyder? That was the big emergency?
Mick: I guess. She called him when he was talking to you. And from what I could hear, she sounded upset. She said she needed to see him, and he told her that he would be there as soon as possible. I'm sorry. Have I said something wrong?
Meg: [Sniffles] Hey. Hey, Paul. Thank God. Thank God. You've got to help me get out of here. Please, please.
Paul: I don't even know what you're doing here.
Meg: I told you -- this is all because of Damian.
Paul: What did he do to you?
Meg: I don't even know where to begin. He told me that he loved me, that he wanted a future with me.
Paul: All right, I'm confused. What about Lily?
Meg: Well, he said that he was gonna leave her, but it was a lie. He just said that to protect himself, and now I think he's just trying to keep me away.
Paul: By having you committed?
Meg: Well, they're holding me for 48 hours, and then they're gonna to re-evaluate the situation.
Paul: Well, then you can leave.
Meg: No, no, but there's no guarantee. And I'm terrified that Damian is gonna find a way to keep me in here.
Maddie: [Sighs] Nothing worse than good fries going cold.
Henry: You look like I feel. What's wrong?
Maddie: Everything. Ever since Casey and I split up -- this is gonna sound totally lame -- but I just feel like I'm walking around here, and I don't know where I am.
Henry: That's very existential of you, Maddie. You're in Oakdale. Nothing has changed.
Maddie: I feel like I have, somehow. Nothing looks the same or feels the same or tastes the same.
Henry: Sweetie, your heart's been broken. It's gonna take some time to heal. But trust me, your life and your taste buds will get back to normal soon, I promise.
Maddie: Why are you so out of it?
Henry: Vienna came back.
Maddie: Really? That's fantastic. You should be happy.
Henry: Yeah, and she took off again.
Maddie: Oh, well, go find her.
Maddie: Remind her how much you love her and how much she loves you.
Henry: Oh, it's too late. Baby, I blew it.
Maddie: Oh, are you sure?
Maddie: We really are a sad pair, huh?
Henry: Listen, let's -- let's -- let's make a deal here. Let's make a -- let's make a fraternal pact, okay? Yeah.
Henry: All right? Let's just forget our past and move forward with our lives. There is -- there is more to life and Oakdale than Casey Hughes. And Vienna's probably gone for good, so I need to rebuild my life, too.
Maddie: Okay, all right. Any prospects?
Henry: No. Well, yeah, maybe.
Henry: There's someone that may be interested in me, that's it.
Maddie: Really? Who?
Henry: The last person I ever would have expected, and that is all I'm going to tell you.
Maddie: Fine. Don't give me any fresh material for my vlog.
Maddie: My vlog.
Henry: Listen to me. Okay, I'm serious, okay? If Casey Hughes doesn't want to be with you, then he is an idiot, and he deserves what he gets.
Alison: Just like that.
Casey: I do -- I do bow to your brilliance, mm-hmm.
Alison: Yeah. Yeah, you should, but you did help a little, Buddy.
Casey: God, you were really generous, you know? Some kid is gonna have a blast with this little bike right here. Whoa!
Casey: What -- you really think that's funny? That's hysterical, yes.
Alison: Oh, we're geniuses!
Casey: Just brilliant. Don't be throwing stuff at me. Oh, damn! Oh, what is this? What is this? Bubble wrap.
Rosanna: Want me to tell you a story?
Rosanna: Oh, okay, come on. Let's go. Ba-ba-bum-bum here. Oh, no. Oh, I got you. Oh! [Rosanna laughs] So, once up a time, there was a beautiful princess.
Johnny: A princess?
Rosanna: Yes, a princess. Now, this wasn't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill princess. This princess -- she had a habit of losing everything and everybody that she cared about. And she realized that she had to be more open and forgiving if she ever wanted to find true love.
Craig: When I kissed you the other day, you didn't pull away. You kissed me back.
Carly: You said you kissed me to put an end to whatever was between us, and that's exactly the same argument you're using right now to try to get me to go to bed with you.
Craig: It's going to take a lot more than a kiss to end things between us. I mean something to you, Carly. I know I do. And this connection between us is not going to go away until we sever it.
Carly: You're marrying my sister. You made your choice. The connection is severed, Craig. It's over.
Craig: No, it isn't. This is an unconventional end to an unconventional relationship. There is no other way for us to let go of each other, and you know it.
Jack: What are you doing here, Craig?
Craig: Carly and I were just discussing some details about the wedding tomorrow.
Craig: Yeah, last minute things. You know how weddings are.
Carly: Craig was just leaving.
Jack: Oh, well, in that case, don't let me hold you up.
Craig: I'll see you tomorrow. Good night.
Jack: What the hell is going on here?
Jack: Well, don't hand me that. I know better. I know you and him. Something's up.
Carly: You really have a lot of time on your hands, Jack. Your imagination is running wild.
Jack: It doesn't take a lot of imagination to smell trouble whenever he's involved.
Carly: Everything's fine!
Jack: Is that why Rosanna's still trying to convince herself that Craig is a changed man on the night before her wedding?
Carly: How do you know that?
Jack: I just ran into her in Old Town. And in the meantime, Craig was here, drunk, when he should have been home, waiting for his fiancée. And for some reason, that's got you a little nervous. What was he doing here?
Carly: It's really none of your business.
Jack: Was he coming on to you?
Carly: No. That's -- why would you even suggest something like that?
Jack: Tell me.
Carly: Yes! Yes, he did. He said that he wanted closure to our relationship.
Jack: By trying to kiss you?
Carly: By trying to sleep with me.
Craig: [Sighs] Hey, what are you still doing up?
Rosanna: Aw, he had a bad dream, so I was telling him a little story.
Craig: Aw. Really?
Craig: What kind of a story?
Rosanna: A story about a young, beautiful princess.
Craig: Well, nobody knows princesses like Rosanna.
Craig: You want to catch me up?
Rosanna: Well, so far, the story is about this young, beautiful princess who lost everything and tried to recapture it through the love of a man who swore he'd changed.
Craig: I know this one. But you know what? This man had done some terrible things, and he'd been turned into an ogre as punishment, but he never lost hope that the beautiful princess' love would transform him back into a man.
Rosanna: Oh, but there was a catch. The ogre had to pass a series of tests to prove his sincerity. And if he failed one -- just one -- then he would never become a man and he would be banished to the land of nothing forever.
Craig: Of course, he passed these tests with flying colors.
Rosanna: Well, I don't know. We haven't gotten to that part of the story yet, have we?
Craig: No. You mind if I take it from here?
Rosanna: Oh, yes, go ahead.
Craig: Well, the ogre set out to carry out his tasks with intense determination. But it was hard for him, because he was actually a very weak and very flawed ogre. But no matter how hard the task or how tired he felt, he kept telling himself over and over, "She loves me. She loves me. She loves me." And that gave him the strength to carry on and become the man worthy of the beautiful princess.
Hunter: Oh, hey, Casey, you seen Alison?
Casey: Yeah. You just missed her.
Hunter: Oh. What you doing?
Casey: Triple bypass surgery. What's it look like I'm doing?
Hunter: It kind of looks like you're torturing a defenseless kiddo bike. Need some help?
Casey: No. I have it under control, man. Thank you. Thank you, anyway.
Hunter: Under control? Then how come the handlebars are pointing towards the right?
Casey: [Sighs] They look straight to me.
Hunter: I think you should check again, 'cause they look about two to three centimeters askew.
Casey: Two to three whole centimeters?
Hunter: Well, I mean, if you aren't sure, you could check with your girlfriend, Maddie.
Casey: Okay, I would, but we broke up.
Hunter: What? How? What happened?
Casey: Can we save the male bonding for another time?
Hunter: Right. Sorry. Yes. Does this mean she's available?
Casey: You do know who you're talking to, don't you?
Hunter: So that's a yes?
Casey: I don't know. Why don't you go ask her about that?
Hunter: Oh, so are you and Alison gonna get back together?
Casey: Hey, Hunter, Hunter, Hunter, quit while you're ahead.
Alison: Hey. What were you doing just now, lurking outside the on-call room?
Mick: Lurking? I wasn't lurking. I've just never seen anyone put a bike together before.
Mick: You don't believe me.
Alison: I'd like to.
Alison: I don't know. You always seem like you're hiding something.
Mick: Well, maybe you're just naturally suspicious.
Alison: You know, you get burned enough times, you grow calluses.
Mick: You know, you're as much a mystery to me as I am to you.
Alison: Me? [Laughs] No, I'm an open book.
Mick: [Laughs] Maybe with a few pages torn out. Virtuous nurse by day, mysterious spider-rescuer by night.
Alison: How'd you know about that? And why are you so interested?
Mick: I study human behavior. People fascinate me. Oh!
Alison: Hey, are you okay?
Mick: Yeah. It's the headaches -- they come and go.
Alison: Yeah, along with the nosebleeds. You should see a neurologist.
Mick: I have. I have. It's stress.
Alison: Then maybe you shouldn't work so hard. You know, Casey and I are upstairs, putting Christmas toys together. Why don't you just give us a hand?
Mick: No, sorry, that's not my scene.
Alison: You don't like toys? Kids? What?
Mick: Christmas. It's an overblown holiday.
Alison: Oh. Somebody didn't get the sled they wanted one year.
Mick: Yeah, well, that happens.
Alison: Trust me, a good old-fashioned Oakdale Christmas will warm you to the season. Please.
Mick: Thank you all the same, but I've work to do. Excuse me.
Meg: Every time we were alone, Damian would tell me to be patient. [Meg scoffs] He had an excuse every time I put him on the spot.
Paul: Why do you keep falling for them? I'm only asking.
Meg: Because I wanted to believe it was true. I wanted to believe everything was true.
Paul: Okay, all right. And this cake -- what happened with the cake?
Meg: I didn't poison the cake! I would never hurt Lily or Damian, let alone the kids!
Paul: Okay, okay. All right.
Meg: Okay, so you believe me, right?
Paul: Of course I believe you.
Meg: Okay, so, you'll help me?
Paul: Meg, I'm gonna get you out of here. If I have to burn this place to the ground, I'm gonna get you out of here.
Jack: Closure? That is the lamest excuse in the world.
Carly: I know. He said that it was the only way that he could get past me and marry Rosanna.
Jack: Oh, please. The guy never quits, does he? Don't tell me you were considering it.
Carly: Oh, God, no!
Jack: Well, I had to ask.
Carly: What are we gonna do?
Jack: No, hey. No way. I'm staying out of this. Don't get me involved.
Carly: Oh, okay. He said that he loves her.
Jack: Do you believe him?
Carly: Rosanna believes him. And isn't that all that matters, really? I mean, what if he really can make her happy?
Jack: And what if he can't? I mean, whatever -- whatever you decide to do that you think is right -- whatever. She's your sister.
Carly: I can't do it. I can't stand there and watch her commit herself to him when he's not ready.
Jack: You sound like you're more worried about him than her.
Carly: I'm worried about both of them, Jack. I have to tell Rosanna.
Alison: Wow, I am really impressed.
Hunter: Hey, no problem. I'll leave you two alone.
Alison: Oh, no, you don't have to go on account of me.
Hunter: I'm not.
Casey: Hey, thanks, Hunter, for everything. Seriously.
Hunter: Sure thing. Anytime.
Casey: See you later.
Alison: Thank you. Wow, he really saved your butt.
Casey: I was doing fine on my own, thank you very much.
Alison: Oh, okay, yeah, sure.
Casey: So, since I helped you, do you think you could help me with something?
Alison: Name it.
Casey: I was wondering how I could convince you to come to the annual Hughes' Christmas Eve party.
Alison: The hottest ticket in town?
Casey: You know it.
Alison: Well, Case, you could just start by asking me.
Casey: Damn! I should have thought about that. Well, how do you -- how do you feel about coming with me to my family's Christmas Eve party?
Alison: Oh, I'm sorry. I have plans.
Casey: Okay, well, that's that, you know, right?
Alison: You are so easy. Come on. Of course I'll go with you.
Casey: Really? Cool. I'll see you around, then?
Alison: Good night.
Emily: You like?
Paul: "Like" begins to describe what I'm feeling, yeah.
Emily: So, how'd it go with Meg?
Paul: You know about that.
Emily: Yeah, I know.
Paul: [Sighs] Let me guess. Mick told you.
Emily: Yeah, I guess he didn't realize it was supposed to be a big secret.
Paul: It's not. Meg's in trouble.
Emily: I gathered.
Paul: No, she's really in trouble this time. They put her under 48 hour watch at Deerbrook.
Emily: Really? She snapped?
Paul: No, but Damian wants everybody to think that she has.
Emily: This isn't your problem, Paul.
Paul: Meg is Eliza's mother.
Emily: I get that, and I have no problem with you dealing with her when it comes to your daughter, and you know that. But, you know, sometimes, you got to let people solve their own problems.
Paul: Well, it's a little hard to do that when you're, you know, locked behind a padded door of a cell.
Emily: Well, you didn't put her there. This isn't your fight.
Emily: Okay, look, I'm -- I don't want to sound callous here, but we are in the beginning here of creating something really special, and I don't want anyone to ruin that.
Paul: I know that.
Emily: And you've done really well at removing yourself from these kind of situations, Paul.
Paul: I'm not turning my back on Meg. I could never look Eliza in the eye if I did that.
Henry: Now's not a good time, Barbara.
Barbara: Aw, Henry, what's wrong?
Barbara: Well, maybe you just need someone to talk to. I'm a good listener.
Henry: Yeah, what the hell? I was just making myself a martini. You care to join me?
Barbara: Well, I'd love to. I'll have a little sparkling water, though.
Barbara: You know, you didn't really seem yourself earlier.
Henry: Yeah, I haven't been myself since Vienna left.
Barbara: I'm sorry. I know how difficult it is to lose someone you love. Any chance of you two getting back together?
Henry: I don't see how. I don't know. It's like the bottom of my world just fell out. Brad dies. Katie shuns me. My mother's a murderer. [Sighs] I find out I'm the spawn of the devil. Vienna leaves me. It's just -- let's just say it's been a bad couple of months, okay?
Barbara: Well, there's some good. I mean, Katie did lift the restraining order, right? And we've gotten to know each other.
Henry: Yeah. As weird as it may sound, that's -- well, I'm kind of glad you came into my life.
Barbara: You see? There is a little light at the end of the tunnel.
Henry: Yeah, it is a strange and disturbing light, but a light, nonetheless.
[Cell phone rings]
Henry: Yeah, you should answer that.
Barbara: Yeah, yeah.
Henry: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Cop: Ms. Ryan, we got a hit on those fingerprints.
Maddie: Hey, did you see this?
Hunter: Yeah. I heard you and Casey broke up.
Maddie: Wow, that was quick.
Hunter: Well, good news travels fast.
Maddie: Good news? Thanks.
Hunter: No, no, no, no, no. I did not mean that.
Maddie: You meant what -- that you're happy Casey and I split up?
Hunter: Yes. In fact, I'm thrilled that you're no longer spending your time with someone who doesn't appreciate you.
Maddie: You know something, Hunter? You're right. [Chuckles] You're right. Casey and I didn't belong together.
Hunter: Wait. You're agreeing with me?
Maddie: I am. Did you see this flyer? Memorial is looking for musical acts for their Christmas show. You should sign up.
Hunter: I told you. I don't play in public.
Maddie: That's ridiculous, seriously. You shouldn't hide your talent. You know what? Whether you like it or not, I'm gonna sign you up. What's your last name?
Maddie: Oh. Oh. I thought -- okay, whatever. What's your first name?
Hunter: It doesn't matter because I'm not playing.
Maddie: Come on. It's gonna be a blast. What is your first name?
Hunter: I said no!
Alison: Why are we here?
Mick: Come inside and find out.
Casey: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.
Alison: Oh, no. No, I just had a strange dream.
Casey: Are you okay?
Alison: Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.
Mick: I felt that I should come back and apologize. I hope I didn't cause any problems when I told Emily about your emergency with Meg.
Paul: Not at all. We're fine.
Emily: You really didn't have to do that.
Mick: I have other news, too. Whenever you reschedule your appointment to see the fertility doctor, I will make sure that I am available.
Paul: We figured you'd want to be there.
Mick: Anything to support you two. You gave me a chance when no one else would, and I will always be in your debt.
Barbara: Spare me all the percentage details. What is the bottom line?
Cop: The prints belong to James Stenbeck.
Henry: Something wrong?
Barbara: Oh, no, no.
Henry: Well, who was it? What happened?
Barbara: I've got to go. I'll talk to you later, okay?
Craig: What are you doing here?
Carly: I think I'll wait for Rosanna to get back before I say.
Craig: Carly, whatever you're thinking --
Rosanna: Oh, hopefully, no more bad dreams for the little guy. Is everything all right?
Carly: Rosanna, there's something that I need to tell you. [Chuckles] Well, I guess "Tell" isn't exactly the right word. I'm just wondering if everything's all set for the wedding tomorrow.
Rosanna: Oh, yeah. It is.
Carly: Okay, good.
Rosanna: You know what? Actually, there is one thing.
Rosanna: Well, I know it's hopelessly old-fashioned, but I don't think that Craig and I should spend the night before the wedding together.
Carly: You don't?
Craig: Rosanna --
Rosanna: And I was wondering if it's okay if I spend the night at your place.
Carly: Of course. If that's what you want, sure.
Rosanna: Yes, it is. It is. Are you okay with that?
Craig: But I'm outnumbered.
Carly: Okay, well, I'll go get the car, and you get your stuff.
Rosanna: Thank you. So, can you survive the night without me?
Craig: As long as I know, tomorrow, you'll be my wife, I'll manage.
Jack: How'd it go?
Carly: I couldn't do it.
Rosanna: Hi, Jack, again. [Laughs]
Jack: [Laughs] Rosanna, what brings you here?
Rosanna: Well, I'm just being a little bit superstitious. I thought I'd stay here tonight, I mean, unless I'm, you know, intruding.
Jack: No, not at all. Not at all. I think it's a great idea, all around. Tomorrow's a big day.
Rosanna: [Laughs] Yeah, I know. I can't believe it. I can't believe I'm getting married tomorrow.
Carly: All right, let's -- let's get you settled in, shall we?
Rosanna: Okay, yes, great. Thanks. See you. Oops.
On the next "As the World Turns" --
Carly: I will always protect your heart. Don't apologize. Meet me at your hotel room.
Jack: I have to back out on our plans to escort you to the wedding.
Rosanna: I am ready to be your wife.
