Simon: Phew! Uh, this was on the counter. I know it was. How did it -- [Scoffs] No, no. Slipped. Must have slipped. [Sighs] All right, get a grip. No such thing as ghosts.

Brad:  [Australian accent] You want to bet, Mate.

Katie: Simon?

Simon: Yeah.

Katie: Are you all right? I thought I heard you yell.

Brad: Like a girl.

Simon: Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Yeah, I was just, um, finishing up on the stove, and that wrench, it, uh -- [Chuckles] It fell and hit me on the head.

Katie: Ow!

Brad: Didn't fall on you. I dropped it. Felt good.

Katie: You've got to be more careful.

Simon: Care -- I was. Look at it. This is exactly where it was. It was like -- it was wedged right in there.

Katie: Well, obviously it wasn't, or it wouldn't have fallen.

Simon: Obviously.

Katie: What? You think something else made it fall?

[Simon scoffs]

Henry: "Travels well." So does Simon. Hey -- [Sighs]

Brad: Just the guy I was looking for.

Henry: Hey, Buddy.

Brad: What's that?

Henry: Nothing. Uh, you're looking for me? What's going on?

Brad: I was just thinking how much I wish you could join me on the other side.

Henry: Wow. I'm flattered that you want to spend the rest of eternity in my presence.

Brad: Don't be, because what I'm really trying to say is I would like to kill you! How could you not tell me that Simon Frasier was back and hiding out in my house?!

Henry: Uh, yeah, that. You, uh -- you saw him?

Brad: I saw him! What a total sleazebag.

Henry: He's not a complete sleazebag. He's acting really charming, actually.

Brad: Oh, you think it's charming of him taking advantage of Katie, who just lost the love of her life? Which -- hello, was me, not him!

Henry: He's not gonna take advantage of Katie.

Brad: O -- okay, well, then, why was he telling her to move on with her life, to forget about me and move on?

Henry: Isn't that what you want her to do?

Brad: No! I mean -- yes. I mean not yet, and not with him. Henry, you've got to get Simon away from Katie.

Katie: How's your head?

Simon: Still attached.

Katie: Ooh! You are starting to get a bump.

Simon: Is that what's throbbing? [Smacks head]

Katie: I'm serious. [Laughing]

Simon: What?

Katie: Are you sure you're okay?

Simon: Well, if you're still gonna kick me to the curb, then actually, no, I feel -- oh, I feel kind of dizzy, actually.

Katie: You're okay. You want me to get you some ice? Okay.

Simon: Does this mean I can stay?

Katie: I'm not making any promises. Sit down.

Simon: You go that way. I'll -- [Groans]

Katie: It's not gonna feel good. You do it.

Simon: Ahh. Feels better already. Thanks.

Katie: I should be thanking you.

Simon: Why's that?

Katie: Because you made me laugh for the first time in a long time, and it felt really good.

Margo: Well, well, well. To what do I owe this visit?

Craig: Well, we have some news.

Margo: Oh, here we go.

Craig: As you know, Rosanna and I are getting married. And it would mean a great deal to both of us if you were to stand up for me at our wedding.

[Margo laughs]

Margo: Oh, you're not kidding.

Craig: No, I'm not kidding. Why would you say something like that?

Margo: Well, because how many times this year have you asked me to do that?

Craig: Only once. But I figured since you agreed that time, your answer would just carry over.

Margo: Oh, Craig --

Craig: Margo, you're my sister. I know we've had disagreements, but I love you, and I want you to be there when we get married.

Margo: Yeah, sure. Of course I'll be there.

Craig: And I know that I -- I know that you have doubts about me, but I have changed.

[Margo scoffs]

Rosanna: Margo, it's true. I mean, come on. He's not the same man as he was before.

Margo: Walks like him, quacks like him, must be him.

Rosanna: I understand your skepticism. Nobody was more skeptical than me. But I've seen it for myself. You know, I wouldn't be with him if I didn't think he hadn't changed.

Margo: I -- I don't know.

Craig: Margo, I know I've made some pretty poor decisions in my life, but Rosanna is not one of them. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, and I want to marry her. And I want you to be a part of that.

Jack: I -- I am not looking for a place to stay. I just -- I didn't want to leave my bag in the car.

Parker: Right, because it's a very bad neighborhood.

Carly: Parker, stop it.

Parker: If -- if you left Janet, then why can't you stay here? This is his home.

Jack: No, it's not my home anymore, Parker.

Parker: Yes, it is. Mom, tell him.

Carly: Uh, Parker, why don't you go and pick us up a pizza for supper, okay?

Parker: Now?

Carly: Yes, now. So, did you really leave Janet?

Jack: I did.

Carly: Just got back. What happened?

Jack: Basically, she's upset. She feels like I abandoned her when I left.

Carly: You did abandon her. I mean, I know you had your reasons, but I'm not gonna lie to you and make you feel better.

Jack: And I don't want to do that to Janet, either. I can't pretend that I don't feel responsible for my brother's death, and I can't make it seem like its okay to ask Liberty to live in the same house as me. So we both decided it would be best if we took a step back from everything, including each other.

Carly: Oh, that is such a crock. Janet just wants you, Jack. So if you're doing this for her, you should grab your bag and go on back home, right now.

Jack: You think I wanted to leave, to walk out on my marriage. Carly, it's the last thing I want.

Carly: But that's exactly what you're doing.

Jack: Because I can't be who Janet wants me to be right now.

Carly: Janet just wants you to be you. She loves you.

Jack: Yes. Her daughter hates me, however. Liberty blames me for her father's death. This morning, I come downstairs, and there Liberty is, and -- [Stammers] I could tell what it took for her to just look at me.

Carly: You can't let Liberty's feelings dictate what happens in your marriage.

Jack: So what am I supposed to do, sit her down and force her to deal with me?

Carly: Yes.

[Jack groans]

Carly: You're the adult. You need to set the example.

Jack: I'm just trying to give everybody space to deal with what's happened.

Carly: Really? 'Cause I think you found a way to give yourself an out. You can't forgive yourself, so how could you ask Janet or Liberty or anybody else to?

Jack: You know what? I don't want to talk about this anymore.

Carly: You're not gonna run away again, are you?

Jack: No.

Carly: Janet may be hurt. She may be confused and upset. But at least she's sticking by you. At least she's trying to work this through.

Jack: I've just got to get my footing, figure out where I am before I let anybody else in on this.

Carly: Well, you can try to get your footing someplace else, Jack, 'cause you're not gonna do it here.

Rosanna: Margo, I really do understand how you feel. I -- I do. But Craig has proved to me that he deserves my trust and that he really does love me.

Margo: Do I have to be the one to point out to you that you didn't always feel that way?

Craig: Why bring that up now?

Margo: Because you stood accused of trying to murder her! And -- and -- now you're engaged.

Craig: Well, I hope you're planning on leaving that out of the toast.

Rosanna: Hey, Margo -- what happened between Craig and me is in the past. We've made our peace with it. We're ready to move on without anger or recriminations. What we have now is different. It's -- it's mature, and it's fulfilling. And most importantly, we make each other happy. All we're doing is asking you to recognize that.

Margo: I do. I -- I do recognize that. I do. Am I crazy to go with this?

Craig: No crazier than either one of us.

Margo: [Sighs] This is what you want -- Craig Montgomery and everything that comes with it?

Rosanna: [Chuckles] With all my heart.

Margo: Fine, fine. I'm not gonna stand in your way.

Craig: You mean it? We have your blessing?

Margo: Apparently. If you two want to leap into this, I will be there to catch you as your best man or whatever you want to call it.

Craig: Oh! You know what? Our family is gonna be just fine. Thank you, Sis.

[Margo chuckles]

Brad: You really think Simon is what Katie needs right now?

Henry: I think Simon, uh, was her first love, her first everything, really, and he's always gonna have a big part of her heart. But your place is obviously much bigger.

Brad: You got that right.

Henry: Yeah, of course. But if it makes her feel a little bit better, isn't that what's important here?

Brad: He's taking apart my stove, Henry.

Henry: I really don't know what that means. Uh, I got it. You -- you want to move your foot there, Buddy? Because it's gonna look really weird if I can't pick this up.

Brad: "Love of Katie's life. Father of her baby. Alive. Travels well." You made a list comparing me to Simon?

Henry: Not me. The list was for Katie.

Brad: Katie does not need a list, Henry. She would choose me over that walking dingo any day of the week.

Henry: Well, she can't choose you, can she, because you are dead.

Brad: Okay, you tell me something. Are you the one that asked him to come back here?!

Henry: No, no. I would never do that.

Brad: Oh, you mean out of your overwhelming sense of loyalty to me?!

Henry: The man is on the run from the law, okay? I know he's probably not the best choice --

Brad: Probably?! Are you serious?! He's a crook, man! He's a thief, and he's a liar! He hurt her once. He'll hurt her again. She's -- and she's really vulnerable right now, Henry!

Henry: What do you expect him to do, convince her to run away with him?

Brad: Well, why not? He convinced Carly.

Henry: Carly didn't have a newborn to think about.

Brad: Oh -- oh, yeah. And what about that? Jacob, huh? What kind of influence do you think he's gonna be with his sticky fingers and his phony accent?

Henry: I -- I happen to know the accent is real.

Brad: You need to tell him -- you need to -- look, you need to tell Katie to send him packing.

Henry: I can't.

Brad: Why not?

Henry: Oh, Lord, sing it with me, people -- restraining order.

Brad: That's it? You call the cops, okay? He's a wanted felon. You just tell them where to find him.

Henry: Simon is a friend, and I'm not gonna rat him out. And I am not gonna take somebody else away that Katie cares about.

Brad: Oh, you mean like you did with me? I thought you were my friend, Henry.

Henry: I am.

Brad: That's fine, man. That's fine. You don't want to help me? I'll do it myself.

Henry: Brad? Brad? [Sighs] Brad? [Mumbles] No. No, no, no, no.

Katie: You know, you made me realize something before.

Simon: What's that?

Katie: Maybe this whole thing with Brad really was just in my head. I just wanted to believe so badly that he was still here, you know, that he was watching me, he could see me, I could reach out to him somehow. But it's just because I didn't want to accept the fact that he's really gone.

Simon: Now you have?

Katie: I told Jacob it was time to say a real goodbye to his dad.

Brad: What? No, you can't do that. I am right here. Why can't you see me?

Katie: Right. I shouldn't just be living in the past.

Simon: Well, listen, for what it's worth, I mean, I think you're making the right decision.

Brad: You would, you opportunist.

Simon: And look, I know this is not gonna be easy for you. It's gonna be so tough to move on. But I'm here, in any capacity, to help you in any way I can.

Brad: You want to help? You can get lost.

Katie: Thank you.

Brad: No, don't thank him. Do not let this guy come between us, Katie.

Simon: It's gonna be all right, I promise.

Brad: Yeah -- once you're out of here.

[Alarm blaring]

Katie: Aah!

Henry: My God, I'm too late. Uh, what?! W -- what's going on?

Simon: Henry, close the door, Mate.

Henry: Wait. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Is there an off button for that thing?

Katie: Yeah. We don't even know who set it off. What are you looking at?! Please do not tell me you see Brad.

Simon: Katie, please try the code again.

Katie: I -- it's not working! Damn it!

Henry: Just tear it off the wall.

Katie: You need to go.

Simon: Why?

Katie: Because it's wired to the police station. The cops are gonna be here any minute. Go! Get your stuff! Go, go, go, go, go!

Simon: Just --

Brad: G'day, Mate.

[Katie groans]

Parker: Simon? What the hell are you doing here?!

Margo: So, what happened here?

Katie: I don't know. It just went off. We couldn't get it to stop.

Margo: Oh, I see. Wait. W -- what are you doing here?

Henry: Well, I was walking by, and I heard the alarm, and I -- I was worried about Katie.

Margo: Really? You heard the alarm all the way from outside?

Henry: It was very loud.

Margo: That's a very weak explanation. So you have no idea what sent that off?

Katie: No, none.

Brad: Go on, Henry. Tell them I'm the one that set it off.

Henry: Would you -- tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk! Big -- there's a big fly in here.

Brad: Tell them, Henry. Tell them, tell them, tell them, tell them, tell them --

Henry: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay! [Sighs] I did it. I set off the alarm.

Brad: You did not. You liar.

Katie: W -- why?

Henry: Because I wanted to see you and make sure you were okay, but I couldn't do that because of the restraining order.

Katie: Oh, my God. You really crossed the line on this one.

Margo: Oh, I think this is a return trip for Mr. Coleman.

Henry: Look, I know it sounds bad --

Katie: "Sounds bad"?

Henry: I -- I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry, all right?

Katie: Oh, do you know how over all your apologies I am?

Margo: Oh, man, I'm so glad to hear that. Now we can make sure you never bother my sister again.

Brad: Why are you lying to them? Just tell them what's really going on!

Henry: I am trying to protect you.

Katie: I don't need your protection.

Margo: Yeah, you do need protection -- from him.

Henry: Look, I -- no, I'm not the problem here, all right?!

Margo: Then who is?! I'm waiting.

Brad: Henry, tell Margo that Simon is here.

Carly: Let's be honest, Jack. You and I -- we haven't been very good at trying to move on from each other in the past.

Jack: But this time --

Carly: This time, it seems to be going well. I don't want to mess that up.

Jack: Neither do I.

Carly: But I know us. Craig and I are over, and I'm feeling a little lost right now.

Jack: To tell you the truth, you're not the only one.

Carly: That's exactly what I'm talking about. I think we're both a little beat up right now. And you know what our default mode is when we're like that together.

Jack: Okay, hold on. Wait -- wait a second, wait a second. Uh, if that's why you think I'm here, Carly, you're wrong. I -- I certainly was not looking for --

Carly: No, no, I know you're not. And -- and I'm not, either. But if you were to stay here in this house with me and the kids, where we were a family --

Jack: No, I get that. I do.

Carly: 'Cause we're -- we're okay right now, aren't we?

Jack: Yeah. Yeah, we are.

Carly: And I -- I'm just afraid that if -- if one of us were to send the wrong signal, whether we intended to or not, it -- we could ruin things for everyone.

Craig: I haven't made this wedding easy for you, have I?

Rosanna: Hey, it's not your fault, okay? I'm just getting what I deserve.

Craig: I don't believe that.

Rosanna: Come on, Craig. We had an affair.

Craig: And we fell back in love with each other. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

Rosanna: Look at what we did to Carly in the process. She hates me now.

Craig: We've been through this. Your sister does not hate you. She's just having trouble accepting what's happened. She'll come around.

Rosanna: What if she doesn't?

Craig: Are you having second thoughts?

Rosanna: No, no, no, I'm not. I love you. I want to marry you, okay? I'm just feeling sorry for myself, all right, and I'm going to stop that right now.

Craig: Okay.

Rosanna: Okay?

[Both laughing]

Rosanna: All right. Um -- what time does, uh, Johnny get home?

Craig: Uh -- any minute now.

Rosanna: Okay. You know what I'm gonna do? I'm going to, um, meet him with the sitter, and I'm going to take him to get fit for a -- a new suit for the wedding.

Craig: You sure you want to do that now?

Rosanna: Yes, yes, I do. Absolutely. You know, this wedding is very important to me. It's a celebration of us and the family that we're building. Okay?

Craig: Okay.

Rosanna: I love you.

Craig: I love you, too.

Rosanna: Okay.

Jack: You know what you said before about, um -- what did you call it, our "Fallback position"?

Carly: I think I said "Mode."

Jack: Right, you did. You did, yes. Well, you were right. Who thought there would come a day where we could actually learn from our mistakes?

Carly: I suppose there's a first time for everything.

Jack: Yes. I know I can't stay, but could I trouble you for a can of soda before I leave?

Carly: Help yourself.

Jack: Thank you.

Carly: Oh, and you can, uh, grab some napkins while you're in there for when Parker gets back with that pizza.

Jack: You sure?

Carly: Yeah. I wouldn't want to toss you out on an empty stomach.

[Doorbell rings]

Carly: What do you want?

Craig: I'm not here for me.

Carly: I didn't invite you in.

Craig: Do you have any idea what you're doing to your sister?

Carly: I think I'm letting her live her life.

Craig: Without you in it.

Carly: She could either have me or my fiancÚ. She made her choice.

Craig: So you're just never going to forgive her? Is that it?

Carly: I don't see any reason why I should.

Craig: You know that she wants you to come to the wedding. She told you so herself. This day means something to her.

Carly: So did mine!

Craig: Except you were too drunk to show up for it.

Carly: You need to leave now.

Craig: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that. She wants to share this with you. I thought that might matter to you.

Carly: You thought wrong. She didn't have any concern for my feelings when she was going after you. Now I have no concern for her feelings now that she's got you. You know the way out.

Craig: No, we're not finished.

Carly: Don't touch me, Craig!

Jack: Carly asked you to leave, Montgomery. So if I were you, I'd turn around and get the hell out.

Craig: Well -- look who's back.

Carly: Oh, don't start.

Jack: Carly asked you to leave, Craig. I suggest you do that.

Craig: You finally tracked down the wanderer. Congratulations. That must have been a real ego boost for you.

Jack: Excuse me?

Craig: To have your ex-wife tracking you down to God knows where.

Jack: I never asked Carly to come looking for me, Craig.

Craig: Oh, but I'm sure in the back of your mind, she knew she would.

Jack: Carly makes her own decisions, Craig, like asking you to leave, and I respect her for that.

Craig: I'm sure that's why you think you're the bigger man. Oh, gee, what's this? What happened there, Jack? You, uh, come to roost in the wrong nest, or did the new Mrs. Snyder finally get fed up and kick you out?

Jack: I'm not gonna listen to you lecture about my marriage after the number you and Rosanna pulled on Carly.

Carly: All right, that's enough, both of you!

Parker: Why are you here? You didn't come back for my mom, did you?

Simon: No.

Parker: Okay. And you better not be lying right now.

Simon: Relax. I'm not, I'm not. I'm here for Katie, all right?

Parker: Katie?

Simon: It's complicated. But listen, Mate, I'm telling you the truth. This has nothing to do with your mom, all right?

Parker: Just stay away from her, okay? And I mean it.

Simon: I will, I will. It's all good. I'm telling you the truth. I'm not here for your mom. You need to do something for me, though, all right? You cannot tell anyone you saw me here, all right -- no one. Not a word to anyone.

Brad: You owe me, man. Look, if you don't tell Margo that Simon is here, hiding out at my house --

Henry: I know, I know, I know.

Katie: You know what?

Henry: I know how bad this looks.

Margo: Well, good for you. But if you are not the problem, who is?

Henry: It's -- it's more like a "what."

Brad: Don't do it, Henry.

Margo: What does "What" mean?

Henry: I had no choice because of the restraining order.

Brad: Traitor!

Margo: Henry --

Henry: Oh --

Margo: -- You purposely set off a false alarm, and you knowingly violated said restraining order. And so, Henry, I am taking you downtown.

Henry: Oh, you've got to be kidding me.

Brad: Good. You deserve it.

Henry: This is all your fault.

Katie: My fault?

Henry: I wasn't talking to you. Oy!

Carly: I am not gonna listen to you two argue anymore. I've had it. Do you hear me?

Craig: Loud and clear.

Carly: Good. Then get the hell out of my house.

Craig: As you wish. You know, you really should bring this upstairs.

[Carly scoffs]

Jack: Why don't you let me pop him one? Just -- just one.

Carly: Would that have solved anything?

Jack: Oh, it would make me feel so much better.

Carly: I think you have enough problems as it is.

Jack: I'm sorry. I came in here, and I saw him grab you, and then he brought up Janet, which he had no business doing.

Carly: Jack, I'd like you to go now, too.

Jack: But Parker was --

Carly: I will handle Parker. Please.

Jack: Okay.

Carly: And you're gonna be at -- at the Lakeview if anyone is looking for you?

Jack: I think so. If not, I'll figure something out. I'll let you know.

Carly: But you're not gonna leave town again?

Jack: No.

Carly: Look, I know how much it bothered you that you couldn't convince Simon to come to Oakdale.

Jack: Uh, yeah, about that --

Carly: Let me finish, all right. I -- I know that you were just trying to help Katie.

Jack: Uh, there's something you should know about that, actually.

Parker: Mom, Dad, you need to call the police right now.

Carly: Why?

Parker: Well, I was in Old Town, and he's here.

Carly: Who's here?

Parker: Simon Frasier.

Carly: Oh, my God. You knew, didn't you?

Parker: Dad, you were to arrest him.

Jack: No, Parker, I can't do that. I'm not a cop anymore.

Parker: Well, then, call Margo.

Jack: I'm not gonna do that either.

Parker: Why not?

Jack: Because I'm the reason Simon's here. I asked him to come back.

Brad: Oh, great. He's back.

Katie: Are you okay?

Simon: Quick getaway is never cause for concern, Sweetheart.

Brad: Hey, watch what you call my wife.

Katie: Unless you get caught.

Simon: About that, thanks for not turning me into your sister.

Katie: Yeah, it's all right. She didn't even suspect you were here.

Simon: Does that mean I can stay?

Brad: No, no.

Katie: I don't know. You know how uncomfortable I am about this.

Simon: I know. But the jacket's coming off.

Katie: But I don't want you to go to jail.

Brad: Why? It's where he belongs.

Simon: So, where's Henry?

Katie: In jail.

Simon: What?! Why?

Katie: He's the one that made the alarm go off.

Simon: [Scoffs] And Margo arrested him for that?

Katie: No, she arrested him for violating his restraining order.

Simon: Oh, come on. That's ridiculous.

Katie: Come on! I'm sick of him harassing me.

Simon: Oh, maybe you're being a bit hard on this guy. Come on. He's -- he's one of your best friends.

Katie: He's also the reason Jacob will never know his father.

Simon: You really hold Henry responsible for what happened to Brad?

Brad: Yeah, she does.

Simon: I mean, look, I understand if you feel that way --

Brad: Nobody asked you.

Simon: But this is Henry we're talking about. God, you know how much the guy loves you. You want to cut him out of your life, as well?

Katie: What am I supposed to do?

Simon: Go down to the police station, bail him out.

Brad: No way. You leave that traitor exactly where he belongs.

Katie: Even if I wanted to --

Brad: Which you don't.

Katie: -- Jacob's sleeping. I don't want to wake him up. I don't want to have to leave him.

Simon: You don't have to wake him up. He's gonna be fine right there, 'cause I'll take care of him.

Brad: You're not going anywhere near my son.

Katie: I don't think that's a good idea.

Brad: Thank you.

Simon: I am awesome with babies. You -- I'll watch him like a hawk. You go down to the police station, 'cause I can tell by that look in your eyes that you want to bail Henry out.

Brad: Katie, please, don't do this.

Parker: Why would you want Simon to come back?

Jack: Parker, I can explain.

Parker: Have you forgotten what happened last time he was here? I mean, he ruined everything!

Jack: Yes, I know that, son.

Parker: Dad, he completely tore our family apart. He took Mom away.

Carly: Parker, I'm not going anywhere, not with Simon, not with anybody.

Parker: You say that now, but what happens when he comes here and he starts talking to you?

Carly: He won't. Parker, I will never do that to you again.

Jack: Listen to me. I'm gonna make sure that Simon does exactly what he came here to do, and that's it.

Parker: H -- he said he was here to help Katie. Is that true?

Jack: Yes, that's the truth. Listen, he will not step one foot inside this house, I promise.

Parker: Well, how are you gonna stop him?

Jack: Because I'll make sure that he has to go through me first. I won't leave here until Simon's gone.

Margo: You -- you want to what?

Katie: I want to drop the charges against Henry and the restraining order.

Margo: Why do you want to do that? You don't want to do that.

Katie: Yes, I do.

Margo: Why?

Katie: Because I just don't see the point to it anymore.

Margo: The point is the guy is irrational and unpredictable, and -- and he has violated the restraining order I don't know how many times.

Katie: I know what he's done, Margo.

Margo: And you're not worried about that?

Katie: No, I'm not.

Margo: Well, that scares me.

Katie: You know, I don't want to fight with you. I don't want to fight with anyone, especially Henry. I just -- I want this whole thing to be over, the sooner the better.

Margo: So you're ready to forgive him?

Katie: I don't know if I'll ever be ready for that, but I don't want him in jail. He was my friend at one time. So please just let him go.

Margo: [Sighs] Lewis? Henry Coleman is in interrogation. Tell him he's free to go.

Lewis: You got it, Lieutenant.

Katie: Thank you, Margo.

[Margo sighs]

Henry: I'm really free to go?

Margo: Uh-huh.

Henry: Thank you, Margo. Thank you for being so understanding about this.

Margo: Oh, Henry, I'm not understanding. If it were up to me, you wouldn't be going anywhere.

Henry: Well, I don't understand it. My -- Katie. Katie -- Katie, wait, wait. Please wait.

Katie: I don't want to talk to you, Henry. I just want to get home to my son.

Henry: I just want to thank you, all right, 'cause I know -- I know what you did couldn't have been easy.

Katie: No, it wasn't.

Henry: Great. This could be a good thing for us, okay? This -- this could be a first step.

Katie: A first step toward what?

Henry: All right, I'm -- I'm just gonna say it, all right, Sweetie? I, uh -- I miss you, and I miss being your friend.

Katie: Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I don't.

Henry: No, you really -- you don't really mean that.

Katie: Yes, I do. Don't tell me what I mean or what I'm thinking. I'm not just gonna forgive and forget. I cannot get over the fact that Brad is dead.

Henry: I'm not asking you to do that.

Katie: Yes, you are! The only reason I asked Margo to let you go is 'cause Simon told me to.

Henry: Simon?

Katie: Yes.

Henry: So what -- what he thinks -- it still matters to you?

Katie: I don't know. Maybe it does. Maybe he just caught me at a weak moment.

Henry: Yeah, but so you're, uh -- you're glad that he's back? You're happy that he's here?

Katie: Simon was a very important part of my life. Yes, okay? Yes, it's nice to not feel so alone.

Henry: Well, I'm -- I'm glad that you feel that way. I really am. I mean, Brad won't be glad about it --

Katie: Oh, God! When are you gonna stop? Brad is dead, Henry. He's gone. If you want to keep pretending that you're palling around with him, that's fine, but I don't want to hear about it!

Henry: But Katie --

Katie: No! It's not real, and it's not healthy. So please, just stop. Just leave it alone. Leave me alone.

Simon: [Snaps fingers and sighs] All right, Brad. It's, uh, just you and me, Mate, so, uh, when are you gonna come out and face me?

Brad: You really have no idea how this works. You've seen way too many bad movies.

Simon: [Sighs] I've seen way too many bad movies. Brad isn't here. Or maybe I spoke too soon.

Brad: You don't belong here. I want you out.

Simon: All right, Brad, listen, Mate, uh, I don't have a beef with you.

Brad: Maybe I have one with you. Did you ever think about that?

Simon: I am here to help Katie. I don't want to hurt her. I -- I care about her.

Brad: Then leave, because you already have hurt her!

Simon: So, uh -- [Chuckles] No more tricks, okay? We cool?

Brad: I don't trust you. I'm gonna be keeping my eye on you, and if you try to latch on to Katie or my son, I am gonna make things very difficult for you.

Carly: Why did you tell Parker that you were staying here?

Jack: You saw how upset he was. It made him feel better.

Carly: 'Cause I just told you that you weren't staying here.

Jack: But I'm staying here for the children, not for you and me.

Carly: The kids are fine. And you know that Simon being back has nothing to do with me.

Jack: Yes, and you know the first chance Parker gets, he's gonna tell Sage that he's seen Simon. She's gonna come to the same conclusion that Parker did -- that Simon's here for you.

Carly: Is that really what this is all about?

Jack: For the most part, yes. Come on. I -- I feel like I need to be here. I really can't explain it.

Carly: Try.

Jack: I feel safe here, Carly. It's the first place I've been where I don't feel like I'm going out of my mind, okay, where I can be me, maybe sort this whole thing out for myself.

Carly: I see.

Jack: Just consider it. Consider me staying here for a couple of days. Hey, I'm out of work. Gives me plenty of time to do dishes, fold laundry, maybe make a bed or two.

Carly: Oh, you make a horrible bed. [Chuckling]

Jack: Yeah, well, see? I'm glad you remember that.

Carly: Okay. You can stay.

Jack: Oh, thank you.

Carly: On the couch, of course.

Jack: Some of my best naps happened on this couch.

[Carly laughs]

Jack: You sure you're okay with it?

Carly: To be honest with you, Simon being so close has me a little freaked out, too. So it's probably a good thing that you stay.

Craig: Hey.

Rosanna: Hey!

Craig: Hey, Johnny.

Rosanna: You're back!

Craig: Yep.

[Rosanna laughs]

[Craig sighs]

Rosanna: What's the matter? You okay? Something wrong?

Craig: I just found something out.

Rosanna: What?

Craig: I was over at your sister's.

Rosanna: You went to see Carly?

Craig: Yeah, yeah. Guess who was there?

Rosanna: Who?

Craig: Jack.

Rosanna: Jack, uh -- came home?

Craig: Yeah, I guess you could put it that way. He's staying there. That doesn't bother you?

Rosanna: I -- really am a bit more curious as to, uh, why it seems to bother you so much.

Craig: Uh, it's not -- it's not a problem for me, per se. I was thinking about you.

Rosanna: Me?

Craig: Mm-hmm.

Rosanna: Why would I care if Jack is staying at Carly's? And you still haven't told me what you were doing there to begin with.

Craig: I went over there to talk to her. I was hoping to convince her to come to the wedding.

Rosanna: Oh. Why would you do that?

Craig: Because I know how important it is to you to have her there. But Robocop was on patrol, so I didn't get a word in edgewise.

Rosanna: Oh. You really went to see Carly for me?

Craig: It's our wedding. I want you to be happy.

Rosanna: Are you gonna be waiting for me at the end of the aisle? [Laughs]

Craig: You know I will.

Rosanna: Then I'm happy. You know, I, um -- I realized something, uh, today. When we get married, you're gonna be giving me something that I've wanted for a very long time.

Craig: What's that?

Rosanna: A family, a child that I can love and call my own. When you think about it, it's pretty ironic. That was the very thing that broke us up all those years ago.

Craig: I thought we agreed to let the past go.

Rosanna: I have. I have, really. I just -- I really -- I never dreamed that you would be the person to give me everything that I've ever wanted. And now that I have it, I'm never, ever gonna let you go.

[Baby crying]

Simon: Coming, Jacob. Oh!

Brad: Oh, hey there, little guy. Don't you worry. Daddy is here.

Simon: God, Brad! All right, Mate. All right, you want to have it out? Just -- just show yourself.

Brad: I warned you to stay away from my son! You just don't listen, do you?

Katie: Simon? What are you talking to?

Simon: Hey. Um, just now? I was talking to the little guy.

Katie: Oh! Hey, baby!

Simon: Look who's home.

Katie: Hey, baby. Did you wake up?

Simon: Ah.

Katie: Oh, how was he?

Simon: He was perfect. Jacob and I -- look at him -- we're getting along just fine.

Brad: Not for long.

Jack: Thanks for putting me up, helping me through this.

Carly: I -- I could say that you're doing the same thing.

Jack: What do you mean? About Simon?

Carly: As much as I hate to admit it.

Jack: It's gonna be okay.

Carly: I know. For you, too.

Rosanna: Well, uh, what was that for? [Laughs] Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Craig: I just want you to know that I intend to make up for everything I didn't do right before.

Rosanna: Craig --

Craig: We're gonna be a real family.

Rosanna: I already feel like we are. See you later.

Craig: Okay.

Rosanna: Okay.

Craig: Mrs. Snyder, its Craig Montgomery. In case you're still wondering where your husband is, I would check over at Carly's. I think you'll find he's making himself right at home.

On the next "Ashe World Turns" --

Jack: It's just like old times, isn't it?

Woman: Getting ready for somebody special?

Meg: And tonight, we're moving in together, starting a whole new life.

Lily: He's moving in to my house, with me, as my husband.

Meg: You're lying!
