Luke: Noah, are you done yet? We really need to talk about this.

Noah: No, I am not done yet. At the rate this is going, I probably won't be done till sunrise!

Luke: Look, I didn't think that Damian was gonna go to the dean. I didn't want to get anybody in trouble.

Noah: Luke, I can't do this now, so please don't make me ask again!

Luke: Okay, okay! I'm sorry!

Noah: Something is not right here.

Luke: Noah! Oh, my God! Oh, my God, Noah! Can you hear me? I'm gonna call for help. It's gonna be okay. Just -- just, please -- just please stay with me.

Teri: Hi.

Janet: What's up, Theresa?

Teri: I came by to see how Liberty's doing. I made her my sausage pizza with everything casserole.

Janet: She doesn't eat sausage.

Teri: Oh. A Ciccone that doesn't eat sausage?

Janet: Yeah, well, she saw a documentary about it, and she hasn't eaten sausage ever since.

Teri: Oh, okay. I'm sorry. I guess I should have asked.

Janet: Well, I guess you don't know my daughter as well as you think you do.

Teri: Is she here? 'Cause I'd really like to say hi.

Janet: She's at the library working on her college essays.

[Dance music plays]

Liberty: Hi.

Bartender: What can I do you for?

Liberty: I will have a gin and tonic.

Bartender: You got I.D.?

Liberty: Yes. Thank you. That's flattering. See?

Bartender: Get lost little girl.

Liberty: Excuse me? You know, I don't appreciate your tone.

Bartender: And I don't appreciate being fined for serving booze to jail bait.

Liberty: I-I'm not jail bait! Hey! You know, if my dad were here, I would be scared for you. Who are you calling?

Bartender: Oakdale P.D., annoying teenager unit.

Dusty: Take it easy, pal. She's with me.

Lily: I can't let Holden take my kids away from me. If you move back in with me, it'll go a long way in showing the judge that I can provide a stable environment for them. I know it's not the most romantic reason to live together.

Damian: No, that's all right. I just didn't expect this.

Lily: Neither did I.

Damian: You said you wanted to take things slowly.

Lily: Well, things have changed.

Damian: All right. What are you asking me, Lily? I mean, are we putting on a show for Holden or is this the beginning of our life together as husband and wife?

Lily: Both. Please don't think that I'm using you. I love you, and you've been so good to my kids. I want you to live with us, but please don't say yes if you're uncomfortable with this, because that's no way to start our marriage.

Damian: Nothing will make me happier than to live with you, Lily. We'll make a wonderful home, and I promise to protect you and the children from any threats to your happiness, even if those threats came from Holden.

Luke: Noah! Noah, please, please. You have to wake up. Damn it! Where are the paramedics? Noah, why did you mess with those fireworks? I told you not to! Please! You're gonna be okay. Just please, please, Noah, wake up.

Holden: Luke!

Luke: Dad!

Holden: What happened?

Luke: He --he fell off the ladder. I think he hit his head. But there were sparks. He might have gotten a shock. I don't know! It just happened so quickly! Please!

EMT: You got to give us room to work!

Luke: I'm not gonna leave him!

EMT: I'm having trouble getting a pulse.

Luke: What does that mean?

Holden: All right, look. You need to back off. You need to let them work.

Luke: Dad, the fireworks went off in his face, and it's all my fault!

EMT: No pulse.

EMT: Start CPR!

EMT: Starting CPR.

Luke: Oh, my God!

EMT: One, two, three --

Damian: Lily, listen, bringing me into your home as your husband is a big step. Perhaps you should talk with the children first.

Lily: They'll be fine with it.

Damian: I'm not sure about that. Now that Holden's back.

Lily: Holden started this. I want to be with you. That's what this is about. It's just the timing.

Damian: Things are happening a little faster than you expected, right? I'm not pressuring you into doing anything you're not ready for, but I don't want to pressure the children either.

Lily: They already gave us their blessing on our marriage.

Damian: The situation has changed a great deal since then.

Lily: Are you having second thoughts?

Damian: Never, never. No, no. But I think you should be the one breaking the news to them. I mean, they're going to have a lot of questions about their father, and they might feel a bit self-conscious to ask them in front of me.

Lily: They're lucky to have you. We all are.

Damian: I just want to make sure that when we do this, we do this right, because when I move in, I'm moving in to stay.

Nurse: You'll have to wait out here.

Holden: Hey, hey, hey! Noah's tough. He'll be all right.

Luke: I can't just stand here, Dad. There has to be something I can do.

Holden: It's in the doctor's hands now.

Luke: He left his phone on the roof.

Holden: I'm sure it's fine.

Luke: No! It's with thousands of dollars worth of film equipment, not to mention all the footage he's already shot. That's gonna be the first thing he asks about when he wakes up. I have to go get it!

Doctor: Are you the family?

Luke: Not exactly. I'm his boyfriend, his partner, and this is my father.

Doctor: Do you have his insurance information?

Luke: No, but I'm sure I can find it.

Holden: Is that gonna make a difference in Noah's treatment?

Doctor: We should have it sooner rather than later.

Luke: I don't even know if he has health insurance.

Teri: I guess I'll just make something else for Liberty and bring it by later.

Janet: Cooking isn't gonna help. Trust me. I've tried.

Teri: I should have realized who Ralph really was. If I had, maybe Brad would still be alive.

Janet: He probably would be.

Teri: I keep going over the last few weeks in my mind, over and over again, and I was gonna turn Ralph in, Jan, I swear. Then Dusty stuck his nose in everything and screwed it all up, and, you know, he tried to make nice with me the other day. I can tell he feels as guilty as I do.

Janet: What does Dusty have to feel guilty about?

Teri: He's the one that let Ralph escape.

Janet: What? Oh, Honey, you've got it all wrong. No. Dusty had it all set up for the cops. They were on their way to the Lakeview to arrest Ralph when you busted in and screwed everything up!

Teri: What?

Janet: Yes! He had Ralph in a nice prepackaged, gift-wrapped box, just waiting to give him to the cops! He's one of the good guys!

Teri: Then why didn't anybody tell me?

Janet: Because you were too busy defending yourself! Mushrooms.

Teri: What?

Janet: If you want to make something for Liberty, she likes mushrooms.

Dusty: You want a ride home?

Liberty: I hardly know you.

Dusty: It's a long walk back to the farm.

Liberty: Thank you, Dusty, but I don't need another parent.

Dusty: Does your mother know you're hanging out here?

Liberty: Oh, you're not gonna tell her, are you?

Dusty: That depends. What are you doing here?

Liberty: My college applications are due, and I already messed up by missing my SATs, and, I mean, I can take them in the spring and apparently some colleges don't care, but I have this stupid essay that I still need to write.

Dusty: So, write it.

Liberty: I tried. All my friends, I mean, you know, they wrote about rock-climbing, rebuilding houses that got blown away in tornadoes -- I mean, literally, their high school's greatest hits -- and I have nothing. Whatever I send in will be a waste of postage.

Dusty: I'm sorry about your dad. I know it's not easy.

Liberty: Thanks.

Dusty: Why don't you write about it?

Liberty: Oh, yeah. Write about almost getting busted for underage drinking in a bar.

Dusty: No, losing somebody you love.

Liberty: I don't want to depress the admissions people.

Dusty: They know what it's like. I know I do.

Liberty: Yeah?

Dusty: Yeah. It changes you. That's where you are right now. It's a lot deeper than rock-climbing, so write it.

[Cell phone ringing]

Lily: Hello?

Holden: Hey. I'm at the hospital. Noah had an accident on his film set. He's been hurt pretty bad.

Lily: Does Luke know?

Holden: Yeah, he was there when it happened.

Lily: Is he all right?

Holden: Yeah, yeah. He's fine, physically, but he thinks it's all his fault. You should probably get down here.

Lily: I'm on my way.

[Elevator bell dings]

Damian: You broke in to my room?

Meg: I didn't break in. I came to see about that dinner you promised me, and I was standing in the hallway, but I had to use your bathroom, and I didn't think you'd mind.

Damian: If Lily had seen you --

Meg: But she didn't. I was very discreet. You're welcome.

Damian: Thank you.

Meg: You know, we need to talk about what's gonna happen with Officer Grady. He's not gonna let this DNA thing go.

Damian: This DNA thing.

Meg: So, is dinner still on or have things changed now that you're moving in with Lily?

[Knock on door]

Lily: Damian? It's Lily! Noah's in the hospital.

Damian: What? What happened?

Lily: Something happened on the set, and they say itís serious.

Damian: Is Luke all right?

Lily: He's at the hospital. He's upset. I'm on my way there now.

Damian: I'm coming with you.

Mason: So, you and your daddy had me fired. You must feel very proud.

Luke: Get out of my face.

Mason: You really sure that you're what Noah needs, huh? Someone to protect him from the big, bad wolf? [Growls] Well, I'll be sure and tell him, just as soon as he wakes up, which, judging by the number of doctors coming in and out of that room, I'm not even sure what the odds of that are.

Damian: Luke, Luke! Stop, stop! He's not worth it!

Mason: Oh, Snyder, that is gonna cost you.

Damian: Luke, stop. Here, you go clean yourself up, and stay the hell away from my son.

Mason: Oh, Daddy's little boy, huh?

Damian: Are you all right?

Luke: What do you think?

Damian: How's Noah?

Luke: They won't tell me anything.

Damian: What happened?

Luke: Noah got hurt because we were fighting and he wasn't concentrating on what he was supposed to be doing.

Damian: You two were fighting?

Luke: Yeah. He was upset that you got Mason fired.

Damian: I'm very sorry Noah got hurt, but I'm not sorry that man is out of a job.

Luke: You know, I wish I could just be angry at you about all of this, but I started it. I gave you that tape of Mason kissing Noah, and I guess a part of me really wanted you to do something, and, I mean, I never would have asked, but when Noah told me that Mason got fired, there was a part of me that was really happy.

Liberty: Hey, Mom.

Janet: I thought you were gonna call me when you were finished at the library. Did you guys run in to each other there?

Dusty: Yeah. I was donating some of Johnny's books to the kids section.

Janet: Oh, that's so nice. You know, I still have every one of Liberty's toys. I can't seem to give them up.

Liberty: Yeah. Thank you for the assist there, Dusty, but, yeah, no, Mom. I wasn't at the library. I was at Yo's.

Janet: Yo's?

Liberty: I needed a drink.

Janet: What? Liberty!

Liberty: I got carded! I got carded. Totally embarrassing, okay?

Janet: Good!

Liberty: Mom, and the bartender was gonna call the cops, but then Dusty came in and calmed him down, all right?

Janet: Thank you. Thank you. And you! What the hell were you thinking?

Liberty: Mom, I couldn't think about what I was gonna write for my college essay, all right? So, I just thought, "Eh, hey, I'll get obliterated and just try again tomorrow, or not."

Janet: I don't know how to react to this.

Liberty: Listen. I know what I did was wrong, and if you start lecturing me right now, I think I will lose it, and I can't afford to lose it right now, Mom, okay? See you later.

[Door closes]

Janet: What just happened?

Dusty: I think she feels bad about what she did.

Janet: Does she have a fake I.D.?

Dusty: Yeah. Not a very good one. The guy spotted it right away.

Janet: I thought she was settling down. I mean, I know that she misses her father, but when she told me that she was going to the library to work on her college applications, I thought maybe -- maybe she was believing in the future, you know? And instead, she was just lying to get me off her back!

Dusty: Well, that's what kids do.

Janet: But she didn't use to. Dusty, she didn't use to until we came here. My life is broken. Brad's gone and Liberty's baby, and Jack's missing. And then I turn around and blame my little baby sister for everything. What am I supposed to do?

Luke: Excuse me. Excuse me. That's my boyfriend in there. I was with him when the accident happened. Is Noah gonna be okay?

Doctor: He needs surgery to relieve the inner-cranial pressure.

Luke: Brain surgery?

Doctor: The area of concern is the primary visual cortex.

Luke: The visual cort-- the visual cort-- that means -- that means that he could go blind? No, no! Noah has to have his sight!

Damian: One thing at a time. I think the doctors need to relieve the pressure in Noah's brain to minimize the damage. Am I correct?

Luke: Yeah, but if you cut open his head, so many things could go wrong!

Damian: Listen, if Noah were your son, would you consent to the operation. Then I think you should say yes, Luke.

Luke: And the longer we wait, the worse it gets. But please, Doctor, you have to save his sight!

Damian: I'm sure the doctors will do everything --

Luke: No! Damian! Damian! I want them to know who Noah is. He is important to a lot of people, and he is loved by a lot of people! He is very, very loved!

Damian: I know, son. I know.

Luke: Okay. Well, where do I sign?

Doctor: We need consent from a relative, and partners don't qualify.

Luke: But Noah doesn't have any family. I mean, he has an aunt somewhere, but he never talks to her. He lives with me. We're very committed to each other.

Damian: All right, listen. The boy needs surgery. Do it. If there's a problem, I'll take full responsibility.

Luke: This is so wrong!

Damian: I think the doctor agrees with you, Luke.

Luke: Yeah! But it doesn't matter if Noah dies, as long as the hospital's not being held liable! I mean, that's what we're talking about, right? And if you don't do the surgery soon, Noah might never wake up!

Lily: Is Noah awake?

Holden: No. That's probably for the best. He was up on a ladder wiring fireworks when he fell.

Lily: Fireworks?

Holden: Yeah, for his film. I guess they went off accidentally.

Lily: Oh, no. I should let Luke know that I'm here. Thank you for calling me.

Holden: Yeah, sure. Whatever's going on between us, it has nothing to do with our kids. I would never shut you out of their lives.

Lily: Thank you for saying that.

Holden: Why wouldn't I?

Lily: Damian brought me here. I should let him know what's going on.

Holden: That's probably not such a good idea. I'm sure Luke doesn't want people hovering around him.

Lily: Damian is Luke's father, too. Like it or not, he's part of this.

Holden: Yeah, you're damn right he is. He's the one who's responsible for Noah's accident in the first place.

Lily: I thought you said we were gonna put our differences aside for Luke's sake.

Holden: I did.

Lily: Then why all the attitude the minute I mention Damian?

Holden: Because Damian got Noah's senior project advisor fired from the university.

Lily: Why?

Holden: Inappropriate conduct.

Lily: What?

Holden: Turns out this guy had a crush on Noah. He was pretty obvious about it, even around Luke. When the cameras were rolling, he ended up planting a kiss on Noah.

Lily: Well, he should have been fired. Good for Damian.

Holden: No, not good for Damian. Luke confided in Damian, and what did Damian do? He goes behind Luke's back, he takes this incriminating film to the dean. The problem is, without a faculty advisor there to run interference for Noah with the film department --

Lily: Noah thought he was being shut down.

Holden: That's why he was trying to rig those fireworks, so he could get his shots in before the plug was pulled.

Lily: And Luke was there when the accident happened.

Holden: Noah blamed him for what Damian did.

Lily: Oh, poor Luke. No wonder he thinks this is all his fault.

Holden: He's not the one to blame.

Lily: Well, neither is Damian. He thought he was helping.

Holden: No, he didn't think. That's the problem.

Lily: Well, what would you have done?

Holden: I wouldn't have gone behind Noah's back, but that's what Damian is famous for, and that's the very reason I don't want him around my kids. That's why I never want him around my kids.

Damian: Look, I understand you're in a terrible position here, but you don't want that young man's death on your conscience. Let me call my office. I'll have my lawyer draw up a waiver for you and all the members of your staff. It'll take only 20 minutes. The hospital won't be liable for anything. I pro-- what if Noah had been brought in here with out any identification and in need of emergency surgery? You would have done what it took and dealt with the consequences later. Am I correct?

Meg: Damian?

Damian: Would you excuse me for just one moment.

Luke: I know you want to help us. I won't sue you, I swear. I just want you to save Noah.

Doctor: Then I suggest you find that aunt immediately.

Janet: Boy, I'll bet you -- you wish you had dropped Liberty off at the bottom of the driveway, right?

Dusty: No, that's all right. So, Jack's not back yet, huh?

Janet: He's going through some stuff, you know, since Brad passed away. They were very close, even when it seemed like they weren't.

Dusty: While I'm here, do you need anything?

Janet: Oh, thanks, but, you know, Holden comes by every day. Emma's got a to-do list for him, and he comes in and takes care of it.

Dusty: What about you?

Janet: I'm used to taking care of myself, thank you. Thank you for what you did for my daughter. It was a really good thing. Liberty, we need to talk.

Liberty: Not now, Mom. I'm writing my essay.

Teri: You got one, too? It's a subpoena to testify in Ralph's trial.

Dusty: Just when you think you're out, huh?

Teri: Why didn't you tell me that you were gonna try and turn Ralph in? You just let me keep thinking you were a total jerk.

Dusty: Well, who says I'm not?

Teri: Good point. Here.

Dusty: What's this?

Teri: Pizza casserole. It's my own recipe. It's kind of like the ultimate dish, Chicago deep dish in a dish. I keep saying "Dish." Just eat it, okay?

Dusty: You made a casserole for me?

Teri: No, I made a casserole for Liberty, but she thinks that sausage is evil, so I thought I'd give it to you, and, you know, kind of a peace offering. I'm sorry that I've been so awful to you.

Dusty: What did you say?

Teri: One apology. That's all you're gonna get.

Dusty: Well, thank you very much. I don't get much homemade pizza casserole. You want to watch me eat?

Teri: Well, what's the fun in cooking for someone if you're not gonna watch them eat it?

Luke: Answer, answer. Uh, hi. This is Luke, Noah's friend from Oakdale. When you get this message, could you call me back on this number on Noah's phone? And please call as soon as you get the message. Noah's life might depend on it.

Damian: I don't have time for this right now, Meg, all right? Noah's facing brain surgery! I want to be with my son!

Meg: I understand. One of the other nurses called in sick, and since our dinner plans were obviously canceled, I said I'd cover. Look, I'd rather be here taking care of Noah than sitting at home waiting for news.

Damian: You're right. I'm sorry I snapped at you. I just assumed --

Meg: The worst. Yeah, I wish you would stop doing that.

Damian: I'll try to be more fair. Now, if you'll excuse me.

Meg: Just one more thing.

Damian: What is it, Meg? What is it?

Meg: Moving back in with Lily would be a very big mistake.

Damian: What are you saying?

Meg: Just that you need to think things through before you move in. You know, it's not easy keeping secrets from someone you're living with.

Damian: I don't plan to keep any secrets from my wife.

Meg: She won't be your wife for long unless you do. Besides, moving in is a big step, not just for you and Lily, but it's an adjustment for these kids! They've already been through a roller-coaster ride.

Damian: I don't intend to let them down, Meg.

Meg: Of course not, but I'm just saying I don't think you thought everything through. What happens if Officer Grady tracks you down at the house? It's not gonna be easy to make him go away.

Damian: Well, so, this is just a friendly warning because you're worried about Lily and the kids?

Meg: Well, they are my nieces and nephews. I do want what's best for them, and for you, too, always.

Damian: Is there any more word on Noah?

Lily: No, and now Luke is missing.

Damian: I'll go find him.

Holden: Haven't you done enough?

Damian: Excuse me?

Holden: Noah is fighting for his life right now because you took it upon yourself to get his professor fired.

Damian: I don't regret what I did. The man got what he deserved.

Lily: Can we not do this?

Holden: You never miss an opportunity to get your hooks in my family, do you?

Damian: Look, I understand your concern about --

Holden: You caused this, Damian. Are you ever gonna take responsibility for yourself?

Damian: All right. What are you accusing me of exactly, Holden?

Holden: Luke confided in you, but you took the situation, you manipulated it to your advantage, but it backfired, and now Noah is paying the price.

Lily: The accident wasn't Damian's fault.

Damian: Are you jealous because Luke came to me instead of you?

Holden: Ah, don't flatter yourself.

Lily: Luke!

Luke: Is Noah okay?

Lily: I'm so sorry this is happening.

Holden: As far as we know, there's been no change.

Lily: They're asking about his health insurance.

Luke: I checked his wallet. He doesn't have an insurance card.

Holden: Don't worry about that. Your mom and I, we're gonna take care of it.

Damian: We all will.

Luke: Look, insurance isn't the issue. I left a message for his aunt. The doctor won't operate without family consent, and apparently boyfriends don't count.

Lily: But he needs that surgery as soon as possible. What if his aunt doesn't call back?

Luke: She has to. I can't stand this! I hate this place! I hate that Noah is going through this and there's nothing I can do to help!

Damian: Son, son. We'll take care of this. I promise.

Holden: Look, I'm gonna call Bob. He will not let anything get in the way of saving Noah.

Teri: Do you think we should be nervous about testifying against Ralph?

Dusty: Nervous? About what?

Teri: Never mind. You know, you don't have to eat it all in one sitting. This casserole's supposed to feed like six people.

Dusty: Well, it's just me, and I don't like things to go to waste.

Teri: Okay, well, what about leftovers?

Dusty: I don't believe in leftovers.

Teri: Well, you're gonna make yourself sick, and then you're never gonna eat my cooking again.

Dusty: I have a huge appetite, believe me. Hey, Teri, if you're so afraid to face Ralph in court, I'm sure the D.A. can arrange, you know, an anonymous-testimony deal.

Teri: Yeah.

Dusty: Put a wig on, change your voice. Nobody's wiser.

Teri: Yeah, until I tell them that Ralph held me at gunpoint and tried to help me make him escape.

Dusty: Hey, Teri, what's in this?

Teri: Mozzarella, ricotta, onions, two types of sausage, pork, then fennel.

Dusty: Fennel?

Teri: Yeah.

Dusty: No way. I'm allergic.

Teri: What? Who the heck's allergic to fennel?

Dusty: I am. In 10 minutes, I won't be able to breathe.

Liberty: It's entitled "Where I am."

Janet: Ooh, I like that!

Liberty: Mom, do not interrupt me.

Janet: Mm-hmm.

Liberty: "For most kids, senior year is about homecoming and parties and making plans for the rest of your life, but I made a mistake last summer. I got pregnant. I knew better, but at the moment, I didn't really care, and that was all it took. Suddenly, I had to make big choices, not just for myself, but for this other kid inside me, whether to have it, keep it, give it up for adoption, but before I made my final decision, I lost the baby, and then my dad was killed. We'd only known each other for a couple of years. I was raised by my mom, but I tracked him down on the internet, and we basically fell in love with each other. I was just getting used to having two parents, and then he was gone. We didn't have much time together, but I feel like part of what grounded me let me go. Sometimes it gets so bad that I feel like I'm gonna float away. Then I remember that I'm not alone. I have my mom and my dad's family and some good friends. My dad wanted me to go to college. He would not want me to throw it away because of a tragic accident, and I know that throwing my dreams away isn't gonna bring him back. I need to start living my life. College is opportunity and promise. It's hope. It may not be where I am, but it's where I want to be."

Meg: Hey, Luke, I can sneak you in for a minute if you want to see Noah. It'll be good for both of you.

[Machines beeping]

Meg: It's okay. Go talk to him.

Luke: Noah. I don't know if you can hear me, but I never meant for this to happen. I am so sorry. It's just I was so scared, and I never should have tried to hold on to you. I should have trusted you. We -- we have been through so much worse than Mason. You stood by me when I couldn't walk and when I was pushing you away, because you have this -- you have this way of just -- just being there, and I don't know how to do that. But when somebody comes in to your life and tries to take away the one person that you love more than anything, what are you supposed to do?

Meg: Hey. You fought for the person you love. Anyone who knows what real love is would do exactly the same thing. Take some time. I'll be outside.

Luke: I love you, Noah. Get better. You have to.

Mason: You broke my nose.

Luke: If you're looking for an apology, you're gonna be here for a long time.

Mason: I'm going to sue you, and then I'm going to sue your father.

Luke: No, you're not. If you think getting fired is bad, you have no idea what I can do, so if you know what's good for you, I suggest you leave. I suggest you go far away.

Mason: You can threaten me all you want, but it is your fault that Noah is in there, and you know it, and you're gonna live with that for the rest of your life.

Janet: I am so proud of you.

Liberty: Thanks, Mom. I wish Dad could read it.

Janet: Hey, you've been putting this essay off for weeks. What -- I mean, you're all of a sudden inspired?

Liberty: It was Dusty. He just told me to write about where I am and be real. That's what I did.

Teri: Please, let me take you to the hospital before it gets too bad.

Dusty: There's no time. I need my epipen. [Gasping]

Teri: Oh, God! Please don't pass out! Oh, God! Okay, wait! Where's that pen thing? Let me get that thing for you!

Dusty: In the nightstand!

Teri: Okay. Oh, my God! Wait, is it -- is this it? It's this thing?

Dusty: Jab it in my thigh!

Teri: What? Aren't you gonna do it?

Dusty: No. You got me into this mess. You're gonna do it. Take the cap off.

Teri: Okay.

Dusty: Stab me in the thigh!

Teri: Oh, my God!

Dusty: Do it!

Teri: Is that it? Did it do it?

Dusty: [Wheezing] That was fun.

Teri: No, that wasn't fun.

Dusty: Well, what's a little life on the edge between friends?

Teri: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry. I -- you know what? Next time I'm just gonna cook you something without fennel, I promise.

Dusty: No. Thank you.

Teri: Okay. Are you sure you're okay?

Dusty: Oh, just exhausted. You know, near-death experiences do that to me.

Teri: Right. Well, I'm gonna go, so you can just take a nap, okay?

Dusty: Don't forget your poison casserole.

Teri: I left it downstairs.

Dusty: I'll see you at the trial.

Teri: Okay.

Holden: Luke, he's been trying to get in to see Noah, but because he's not a relative, they've been giving him a hard time.

Meg: Well, I'll make sure he's in the loop. That's why I'm here. I'm sorry about Damian.

Holden: He's Luke's biological father. If he wants to be here, there's nothing I can do about it.

Meg: Yeah, but Lily could be a little bit more sensitive.

Holden: She makes her own choices, and she chooses to see what's best in him no matter what he does.

Meg: Maybe, but even Lily has her limits.

Lily: How long has it been since Luke left that message for Noah's aunt?

Damian: Too long.

Lily: I think that we should send the company jet down there and pick her up. I hate to say this, but I think that Noah's gonna need her for more than this one surgery. You don't recover from a head injury overnight, and they haven't even begun to treat his burns.

Damian: Luke should be the one making these decisions, Lily. We are wasting precious time on a technicality.

Lily: I don't think its fair either, but the law says it has to be a family member. Even Bob can't get around that.

Damian: Well, let's give Noah some more family, then. Let's adopt him. Yeah.

On the next "As the World Turns" --

Luke: I need you to wake up for me so I can tell you how much I love you.

Carly: Tell Rosanna that you found me and that we're both safe and sound in my motel room.

Molly: Back for more, baby?

Jack: Molly Conlin!
