Doctor: Given how well you're doing, we could release you today.

Katie: Oh, okay. Well, I thought you said I was being released.

Doctor: You don't have to go if you don't want to.

Katie: What do you mean?

Doctor: Well, your son isn't ready to leave the NICU yet. If you want, you can stay here with him.

Katie: How?

Doctor: We could put you in a room for parents.

Katie: No. No thanks. I just -- I just want to go home, if that's okay.

Craig: What the hell are you doing?

Henry: I'm here to see Katie.

Craig: You think she wants to see you now?

Henry: I'm her friend. I want to be there for her.

Craig: You're her friend?

Henry: I'm her best friend. That hasn't changed.

Craig: Henry, wake up! Everything has changed.

Henry: Would you be careful with those, please?

Craig: Are you the only one here who really doesn't get that you're the reason she's in that room? You're the reason her husband is dead. All of this is your fault.

Lucinda: It's a wonderful and brave thing that you're doing.

Lily: I just wish it didn't have to be like this.

Lucinda: Like what?

Lily: So deceptive. Holden thinks he's going away with the kids for a few days. He has no idea that when he gets to that cabin, I'm gonna be waiting there.

Lucinda: You are making time for the two of you to work out your problems together. When he sees how much you love him still and always will -- [Sighs] We're never gonna have to go through this all over again. I love you.

Lily: I love you.

Lucinda: [Laughs] All right. Okay. Off you go. And, um, I'll be here, the kids will be here, all waiting for your return.

Lily: Thanks, Mom.

Lucinda: All right.

[Lily sighs]

[Doorbell rings]

Damian: What are these, Lily?

Lily: You know what they are.

Damian: Lily --

Lily: All you have to do is sign them.

Damian: You want me to annul our marriage, act like it never happened? Lily, we vowed to spend the rest of our lives together.

Lily: So much has happened since then. We can't keep those promises anymore.

Damian: Says who, Lily? Look at me. Cara, are you sure this is really what you want?

Lily: I had those papers drawn up, didn't I?

Damian: Going somewhere?

Holden: How are you doing?

Jack: To be honest, not that good.

Holden: Yeah. Mama told me. I, uh -- last thing I expected to hear. I'm sorry, so sorry.

Jack: I know.

Holden: What are you doing with that?

Jack: There was a bust last night. I had to -- pull my weapon.

Holden: Last night? You went back to work?

Jack: No, nothing like that. There was a -- there was a lead on one of the members of Manzo's crew, and, uh -- a guy that grabbed Katie.

Holden: What happened?

Jack: I didn't make the collar.

Holden: Why not?

Jack: Couldn't bring myself to -- couldn't pull the trigger.

Holden: Well, it's understandable.

Jack: [Chuckles] It's understandable that I froze on the job?

Holden: No. Considering everything you've been through the last --

Jack: Considering what? Oh, I see. Considering that I just shot and killed my brother, maybe I shouldn't have been on the streets so soon with a loaded gun. Is that it?

Holden: No, no. That's -- that's not what I'm saying.

Jack: Holden, enough. I don't need to hear this from you.

Craig: You're the one who brought Ralph Manzo here. You're the one who brought him into our lives. You're the one who set this whole thing in motion.

Henry: I know, I know. I don't deny that. I messed up. I -- I more than messed up, all right? But give me a chance here.

Craig: To do what, make it up, make things right? You think flowers are gonna do that? Just get the hell out of here.

Rosanna: Henry, we know that you feel bad, okay? We all feel bad. But you cannot force Katie to forgive you.

Henry: I wouldn't do that. Would you at least tell her I was here, please?

Craig: I wouldn't count on it.

Rosanna: Are you okay?

Craig: Yeah. I just want to see my sister.

[Knock on door]

Craig: What are you doing?

Katie: I'm being released.

Craig: Today? Does that mean you're taking the baby home, too?

Rosanna: Isn't that a little unusual to send a preemie home so soon?

Craig: Yeah. Are you even set up for something like this?

Katie: The baby's staying. The doctor says he needs to be here for a couple more days.

Craig: Yeah, but you can stay, too. They have a special wing for parents.

Katie: No. They, uh -- they don't have enough beds to accommodate me, so I guess I really don't have a choice.

Craig: How can the hospital just kick you out like that?

Rosanna: Do you want us to call Bob for you? Because I'm sure he can make some calls so they can accommodate you.

Katie: No, no, no. Please don't do that. I don't -- I just don't want to make a big deal out of it.

Craig: It is a big deal.

Katie: Craig, I really -- I want to go home. I have a lot to do.

Craig: Okay, tell you what. If you're so determined to go home, why don't you just come and stay with me and Johnny for a while?

Katie: At the Lakeview? No.

Craig: Fine. I'll call Tom and Margo. They'd love to have you.

Rosanna: Craig -- you know, if there's anything that you need, anything that we can do for you, just let us know, okay?

Katie: I will let you know. Okay.

Craig: I'm sorry. I guess I'm pressuring you. Maybe I feel a little guilty because I wasn't there when you needed me.

Katie: What could you have done, Craig?

Craig: I know what I can do now. I can be a better brother to you. Believe it or not, that's something I learned from Brad. You know something else? Your son will always have a good uncle to look up to. I'm gonna do everything I can to be there for him, and for you.

Katie: Have you seen him yet, the baby?

Rosanna: Um, no, actually. We came straight here.

Katie: Would you like to?

Craig: Oh, more than anything.

Katie: Great. The NICU is two floors down. There's a big window. The nurse will point him out to you.

Craig: Aren't you coming with us?

Katie: In a minute. I'll be right down.

Craig: Okay.

[Katie sighs]

Henry: I know it sounds like I'm feeling sorry for myself. I'm not, okay?

Barbara: You lost a friend. It hurts.

Henry: I'm afraid I may have lost two. [Sighs] Oh, my God. I just -- I wish there was something I could do for Katie.

Barbara: Like what?

Henry: Off the top of my head, I don't know. I don't know. Uh, if I still had my inheritance, I could -- I could, um, establish a trust fund for the baby. I could make sure he got a good college education and a comfortable life. [Sighs] I gave all of my money to my mother to get rid of her.

Barbara: Oh, my God. You don't know, do you?

Henry: Know what?

Barbara: Well, your -- your mom -- she's gone, yes. But she didn't get away with the money.

Henry: What?

Barbara: No. Uh, the -- the short version is I got it all back.

Henry: You have it?

Barbara: Yes. I'm sure she's not very happy about that.

Henry: Yeah. That's -- that's too bad for her. Barbara, if you've got the money, then I can use it to help Katie.

Barbara: Henry, there's -- there's more to it than that. Evidently, there was some kind of error in the construction of James' second will.

Henry: What kind of error?

Barbara: I don't know what kind of error, but -- but the upshot of it is, is that the original will was deemed to be legally viable.

Henry: The one that made Paul the sole heir?

Barbara: Mm-hmm.

Henry: Are you telling me that I put everyone though everything that I put through for money that wasn't actually mine?

Barbara: I know there's nothing I can say to console you.

Henry: To console me?! Barbara, you just ripped out what little is left of my heart, okay? Oh, God.

Barbara: There's nothing that that money could do to help Katie with the pain she's going through. She lost her husband. You can't put a price tag on that.

Henry: Apparently, I did, and I'm gonna have to pay for it for the rest of my life.

Holden: What happened to Brad -- it was an accident.

Jack: Accidents are caused by people all the time.

Holden: I don't blame you. No one does.

Jack: I know that. I know. I'm sorry.

Holden: You don't have to apologize. I just want you to know that I mean it.

Jack: I do.

Holden: I can't imagine what you're going through right now. If I ever lost a brother --

Jack: I thought when we lost you, that was bad. We got lucky. We got you back. But Brad --

Holden: Yeah. I wish there was something I could do to make this easier.

[Jack sighs]

Holden: Where are Janet and Liberty?

Jack: Oh, they're out. They need time together. Liberty lost her baby.

Holden: Oh, man.

Jack: Yeah, I know. I take one look at her, and all I can think is how much is one person supposed to take? She's a kid, Holden. She needs her father. He's gone.

Holden: She has you.

[Jack scoffs]

Holden: I know it's not the same.

Jack: It's not even close.

Holden: Listen, I was, uh, gonna go away. I postponed it. I can actually push it back a few more days.

Jack: No, don't worry.

Holden: If you want, I can make some calls.

Jack: No, I don't want you -- I don't want you to do that. Don't, no.

Holden: I don't mind.

Jack: No. You haven't spent hardly any time with the kids since you've been back. Your family needs you with them.

Holden: You need to be with your family, too.

Jack: I will be. I have Janet and Parker and Sage and Emma. You know this place. It's a revolving door.

Holden: All right. All right, listen. I'll be back for the funeral.

Jack: Thanks.

Holden: Is there anything I can do for you -- anything at all?

Jack: No, thanks. I'll let you -- I'll let you know.

Holden: All right, all right. Hang in there, all right?

Jack: Yeah. I will. [Sighs]

Lily: Just going away for a few days.

Damian: Is it gonna be just you and the kids?

Lily: Yeah.

Damian: Where's the cabin?

Lily: It's just outside of Oakdale. Kids have been so overwhelmed with everything. They -- they really need a break from this.

Damian: Yeah, I'm sure they do. What about what you need, huh?

Lily: This is what I need. We need some time apart, Damian.

Damian: I don't have a say in this? What if I'd rather have you stay here with me?

[Lily sighs]

Damian: I see. So you just thought you'd write me these and just leave town. How is that fair?

Lily: You think it was easy for me to have those drawn up? It wasn't.

Damian: Then why did you?

Lily: Because -- I can't have this argument with you, Damian.

Damian: Lily, I -- look, I don't want to argue either. But running away isn't going to solve anything.

Lily: I'm not running away.

Damian: All right, prove it.

Lily: How?

Damian: Promise me when you get back in town you'll give us a chance to work things out.

Lily: There's nothing to work out. Our marriage is over.

Damian: I don't accept that, Lily!

Lily: Well, you have to, because I can't be the wife that you want me to be. I can't give you what you need.

Damian: I just want you. That's all.

Lily: I'm sorry. Please, just sign these.

Damian: Lily, what -- what you're asking me to do --

Lily: I'm just asking you to do what's right. Don't make this any harder than it already is.

Damian: Lily --

Barbara: You are not nearly as horrible a person as you think you are.

Henry: Compared to whom? My father? Okay, that guy was a master at destroying people's lives, too.

Barbara: I'll tell you something. I have more malice in this little pinky than you have in your entire body. I mean, after all, it didn't take me much to be goaded into telling Vienna about our affair.

Henry: No, it didn't. But you didn't hesitate to give me the money when you thought Katie's life was in danger.

Barbara: Because I owed you. You saved my life. You stopped me from drinking a lethal concoction of your mother's.

Henry: You don't blame me for what my mother tried to do?

Barbara: No. Here's how I see it. You are accountable for some things.

Henry: So the answer is yes.

Barbara: But you didn't put the poison in that drink, and you didn't fire the shot that killed Brad. Do you hear what I'm saying?

Henry: I do. Thank you.

Barbara: Where are you going?

Henry: [Sighs] I'm gonna go see Katie.

Holden: Excuse me.

Damian: Going somewhere?

Holden: What's it to you?

Damian: Nothing. Just making an observation. Seems to be a good day to leave town.

Holden: What's that supposed to mean?

Damian: Nothing. Just you're not the only one headed off on a little getaway.

Holden: Oh. Good for you.

Damian: Out of curiosity, where are you going?

Holden: Why do you care?

Damian: Just in case something happens and Luke needs to reach you.

Holden: Don't worry about Luke. Luke's gonna be with me, and his brother and sisters.

Damian: Oh, so you're going out with the kids?

Holden: Yeah. I thought it would be good to get the kids away from all this for a while.

Damian: Yeah. Good luck with that.

Holden: What was that? If you got something to say, spit it out.

Damian: Fine. You've been set up.

Lily: Okay, Holden. I'm here. All that's missing is you.

Katie: He looks like Brad, doesn't he?

Jack: Katie --

Katie: Around the eyes, I see it a lot. Can you?

Jack: Yeah. I can. He's beautiful. His father's son. Have you decided on a name yet?

Katie: No, not yet. I'm sure it will come to you. Did Brad ever mention anything that -- that he liked?

Jack: No. No, I asked him to tell me one time, but he wouldn't. He said we would find out soon enough. I'd tell you I'm sorry, but it would be meaningless. There are no words.

Katie: No, it's okay. I know, I know. I mean, but people have to say some things. I sure they've been doing that to you, too.

Jack: Yeah, they tell me they're sorry. It's not -- I don't think they really get it.

Katie: Probably not. Can you do something for me?

Jack: You name it.

Katie: Nobody will tell me what happened to Brad.

Jack: Katie --

Katie: I mean, I know he was shot, but I don't know how it happened. I don't know who did it.

Jack: Maybe right now isn't the best time.

Katie: Please, Jack, I need to know. Tell me how my husband died.

Jack: You'd think something like this would be more complicated to explain.

Katie: It's not?

Jack: No. It's very simple, actually.

Katie: Okay. I'm listening.

Jack: Henry found out that Manzo was holding you at the warehouse.

Katie: Is that who told you?

Jack: Yeah. And on my way, I told him to call for backup, and he did. But I couldn't wait. I knew you were in there, and the fact that you were pregnant, I just -- I felt like I didn't have a choice.

Katie: So you went in alone?

Jack: Maybe if I waited. I don't know. The warehouse was dark. I couldn't see a -- a thing. But I didn't know where you were. I didn't know if anybody else was in there. So I started to creep in. I only took a couple of steps before someone shot at me.

Katie: Ralph. He had a gun.

Jack: And I reacted the way I was trained to, the way any cop would have. But what I didn't know, what I couldn't see -- Brad got there before me.

Katie: I know. He came to rescue me.

Jack: Yeah, you and the baby. It's all he cared about.

Katie: So it was Ralph, then. Ralph shot him.

Jack: Ralph -- Ralph Manzo's a coward. He used Brad.

Katie: What do you mean, he used him?

Jack: As a shield.

Katie: What?

Jack: Ralph wasn't the one who shot Brad. It was me.

Katie: I don't understand.

Jack: Katie, I fired two shots in the dark. One made a hit. [Voice breaking] Only it was the wrong guy. I didn't know Brad was there.

[Katie sobs]

Jack: I didn't know that Ralph was hiding behind him. I don't blame you if you hate me now, if you never want to see me again, if you want that little baby to grow without knowing anything more about me than this, Katie -- I'm sorry. I'm so -- I'm so sorry.

Holden: So you're telling me that Lily is up at the cabin?

Damian: That's correct.

Holden: And you know this how?

Damian: She told me herself.

Holden: She volunteered this information?

Damian: No. I was at the house earlier, and I saw she had a bag packed. When I asked her where she was going, she told me she was taking the kids out of town for a few days, same as you.

Holden: Where are the kids?

Damian: I imagine they're with Lucinda. I saw her leaving the house when I arrived. If you don't believe me, you can go up there and check it out yourself.

Holden: Why are you telling me this?

Damian: I just thought you should know.

Holden: That's bull.

Damian: Look, all I care about here is Lily's happiness. If it turns out that she chooses you to spend the rest of her life with, then so be it.

Holden: You just walk away?

Damian: Yes. If you two can make this work, I'll grant her an annulment, leave her alone, whatever she wants.

Holden: Tell me something, Damian. Why don't I believe you?

Jack: I don't know what to say.

Katie: You don't have to say anything. I know how much you loved him, too.

Jack: Hey, I was the one.

Katie: Jack, I don't blame you for what happened to Brad. Did you think I would?

Jack: It's my fault.

Katie: No. He was your brother. He wouldn't hold you responsible for what happened, and he wouldn't want you to, either.

Jack: He didn't know it was me.

Katie: We both lost someone very special. We're suffering enough. We don't need to add to it. I better get back to my room. Thank you for telling me that.

Craig: They say tragedies can pull people apart, but they seem to have the opposite effect on us. Why do you suppose that is?

Rosanna: I guess it's nice to have somebody to share the burden with, especially in times like these.

[Door slams]

Rosanna: Jack, hi.

[Craig sighs]

Rosanna: Sorry.

Jack: Are the kids here?

Rosanna: No, the kids are not here. Of course not. We would never have --

Jack: I don't want to hear how careful the two of you are being, Rosanna, okay? We all know that's not true.

Rosanna: You're right. I'm sorry.

Jack: Little late for an apology, don't you think?

Craig: All right, Jack --

Jack: I mean, come on. Did you ever truly stop and think about Parker and sage in all of this?

Rosanna: Of course I have. The kids mean everything to me.

Jack: They've been through enough, you know?

Rosanna: I know.

Jack: First with their mother's drinking, and now they're stuck here with this going on in front of them.

Craig: All right, that's enough, Jack.

Jack: Excuse me?

Craig: Look, I know you're upset, but that's no reason to take it out on Rosanna. And nobody's flaunting anything in front of the kids.

Jack: You think I'm upset, Craig?

Craig: You just lost your brother, Jack. You're dealing with a lot. The last thing you want to do is come in here and pick a fight.

Jack: So you're looking out for me? Is that it?

Craig: We feel for you, Jack, and your family. It's a loss to our family, too.

Jack: You didn't give a damn about Brad, Craig. You couldn't stand him. And I'll tell you something else. The feeling was mutual.

[Knock on door]

Henry: Hey, Bubbles.

Katie: Go away, Henry. I have nothing to say to you.

Lucinda: I thought so. I thought I was --

Holden: We need to talk.

Lucinda: Uh -- uh, Darling, uh, Sierra, I'm gonna have to call you back. Holden is here. Love you. Call you back. Hi.

Holden: You seem -- surprised to see me.

Lucinda: No. Why would I? Oh, as a matter of fact, I had heard that you were gonna go with the children out of town.

Holden: You heard, or you arranged?

Lucinda: Beg your pardon?

Holden: You know what I'm talking about.

Lucinda: I don't know what you're talking about. Are you trying to get me mad, or are you mad at me already, or what?

Holden: You know what? I am mad, because you seem to think that I can just be maneuvered into taking Lily back.

Lucinda: You and Lily belong together, and you are so pigheaded and stubborn!

Holden: You know what? You know what? I really don't have time for this right now. My cousin just died.

Lucinda: I know he did, and I'm very, very sorry.

Holden: Yeah, but not sorry enough to keep me here with my family, right?

Lucinda: Lily is your family, and your kids. And you need her now, and she needs you.

Holden: She doesn't need me. She has Damian.

Lucinda: Oh, for heaven's sake. I -- Darling, listen, listen. Listen good, please. Look, Lily never chose Damian. She didn't. He -- he worked on her. He took advantage of the horrible grief that she felt for you -- for you. And then he manipulated her into this quick marriage. And she didn't know where she was. She was in a haze, which has lifted the moment you came back to life and came back into her life! And she knows. She knows that she made a horrible mistake.

Holden: It still doesn't erase what happened.

Lucinda: No, but she loves you. Only you.

Holden: It's not that simple.

Lucinda: Hell it isn't. There's just been enough anger. You're angry with me. Everyone knows you're angry with her. We're all angry. Forget about anger. It's time for a little forgiveness.

Holden: Why? Because you say so?

Lucinda: Because it's what you want, isn't it? She's out there. She's waiting for you. She's not waiting for Damian, just for you. So why don't you go there to her, put your arms around her, and tell her you love her? And everything will be all right.

Lily: Damian.

Damian: Hello, Lily.

Lily: What are you doing here?

Damian: I know I'm not, uh, who you were expecting to see.

Lily: I -- I thought you were Luke.

Damian: Stop, Lily. I know you're waiting for Holden.

Lily: My mother tell you?

Damian: No. I ran into him at the hotel. He had a suitcase. When I asked him where he was headed, he told me he was leaving town for a few days with his kids.

Lily: I'm sorry I lied to you.

Damian: So am I. Although I understand why you had to.

Lily: You still haven't told me what you're doing here. Is everything all right?

Damian: Everything's fine. I just thought you should know that Holden isn't coming. I'm sorry.

Lily: It's okay. I kind of figured that out myself. I -- I was just about to head out, forget this ever happened. I just wish I knew why Holden decided not to come.

Damian: I think it was because of me.

Lily: Why would you say that?

Damian: Because I told him you were here.

Lily: You told Holden I was here?

Damian: Yes.

Lily: Why would you do that? What gives you the right to interfere?

Damian: Lily, I just did it because I care about you.

Lily: You care about me? And you went out of your way to purposely do something that you know would hurt me?

Damian: I'm trying to make you see what you're doing here.

Lily: I am trying to save my family.

Damian: By lying to the both of us? Lily, you're better than this.

Lily: I just wanted a chance to talk to him, okay, alone, without any distractions.

Damian: If you wanted to talk to me alone, you wouldn't have had to -- to lie to get me up here. I would have dropped everything to be with you.

Lily: It's because I haven't hurt you the way I hurt Holden.

Damian: No, Lily. No. Holden is not here. He's not fighting for you because he's already given up on your marriage. As far as he's concerned, it's over.

Lily: Don't say that.

Damian: I just don't understand why you -- why you'd want to be with a man who let you go so easily when you already have someone who's proven he's gonna be there and love you no matter what.

Jack: I don't want to hear how sorry you are, Craig. You had no use for Brad. You went out of your way to tick him off. So don't try and pretend for my sake or hers.

Rosanna: That's not what he's doing, Jack.

Jack: You're defending him to me now. Why am I not surprised?

Rosanna: We are both very, very upset about what happened to Brad.

Jack: Right.

Rosanna: And we know you must be in an enormous amount of pain, and we're very sorry for you.

Jack: No, no one's sorry here, Rosanna, especially him. He thinks this is great, don't you?

Craig: No, not in the least.

Jack: Why not? You've been waiting a long time for me to screw up this bad. I didn't disappoint, did I?

Craig: You're wrong, Jack. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Jack: Not even me?

Craig: No.

Jack: Come on, Craig. I think you like the fact that I'm the one to blame here. And why not? I managed to outdo just about everything you've ever done, including what you tried to do to Rosanna. So now's your chance to really let me have it.

Craig: I'm not gonna do that.

Jack: I want you to.

Craig: No.

Jack: I already know what you're thinking. I just want to hear you say it.

Craig: You think that's gonna make you feel better?

Jack: Try it and see.

Craig: I think that if --

Jack: If what?

Craig: I think that if you and your brother weren't such hotheads --

Rosanna: Hey, Craig --

Jack: Rosanna, let him talk. If we weren't such hotheads --

Craig: If you weren't so hell-bent on proving to the world how heroic you are, then everything would be different.

Jack: Different? Different how? Don't stop now.

Craig: My sister would still have her husband, and my nephew would still have his father. And you would still have your brother.

Jack: Liar.

Craig: [Chuckles] Excuse me?

Jack: That's not what you're thinking.

Craig: Jack --

Jack: I want to hear you say it, Craig.

Craig: Say what?

Jack: What no one else will. Come on. It's on the tip of your tongue, so let it rip. I can't wait.

[Gun cocks]

Rosanna: Jack --

Jack: Say it. I want you to say it to my face. I have no one to blame, 'cause I'm the reason this happened. Me. I killed my brother.

Henry: I know you're angry, and I don't blame you, and I know you're gonna be upset for a really long time.

Katie: Upset? Like you scratched my car or broke my watch? I'm a little more than upset. I'm never gonna have my husband again because of you. My son is never gonna meet his father, and you did this.

Henry: I know, I know. Just tell me what to say. Tell me what I can do to make this up --

Katie: There's nothing -- there's nothing to say. It's too late. This is the way it's gonna be from now on. You know what? I do want to know why though. Why did this happen? Because of some stupid inheritance? 'Cause you wanted to be rich and retire?

Henry: No, no, no, no. It wasn't like that. It wasn't like that.

Katie: I know it wasn't, because you told me and I told you to go to the police.

Henry: I know you -- and I wish I had listened to you!

Katie: I wish you had, too. 'Cause it wasn't enough to cheat on Vienna and break her heart, but you had to ruin my life, too, and Brad? What about Brad? He was your friend!

Henry: I know. Katie, I know, and you're my friend, too. You're my best friend. Nothing's ever gonna change that.

Katie: How many times do you expect the people you love to get hurt by you and have to forgive you over and over?

Henry: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I've been given more chances than I deserve.

Katie: Oh, poor Henry!

Henry: That's not what I meant. That's not what I meant. Please, please, okay? I never meant for any of this to happen. You've got to believe me.

Katie: You know what I believe? I believe you're selfish, and you're weak, and thank God Vienna got rid of you before you killed her by accident, too!

Henry: Katie --

Katie: Don't! I don't ever want to see you again.

[Henry sighs]

Rosanna: Jack, don't.

Craig: No, no, no. Stay out of this.

Jack: Rosanna, you have nothing to do with this.

Rosanna: Jack, please put the gun down.

Craig: Jack -- Jack, listen to her. You don't want to do this.

Jack: You have no idea what I want.

Craig: I know why you came here -- because you want me to tell me that this was your fault.

Jack: Yeah, so let me hear it. Tell me. Tell me that my brother is dead because I was reckless and I should have known better. Call me a murderer.

Craig: Jack, a murder requires intent, and there wasn't any. Jack, you're gonna have to find some way to forgive yourself.

Jack: That is not what I want to hear you say, Craig.

Craig: It was an accident, Jack. An accident! But if you pull that trigger now, it won't be. And you know that.

Rosanna: Jack, please. Please put the gun down. Parker and Sage could walk through the door any second. Do you want them to see this? Do you want them to have this image of -- of their father? Please put the gun down.

Lily: You have no idea what Holden is thinking right now.

Damian: Yes, I do, Lily, and so do you. He's made his feelings very clear.

Lily: Not to me. So I am not going to jump to any conclusions.

Damian: You don't have to, Lily. He knew you were here, that you wanted to talk to him, and he still didn't come.

Lily: That's because he's still hurting after what I've done to him.

Damian: What have you done to him?

Lily: I married you! He came home to me. He said that I kept him alive. He walked into his door to find me married to another man.

Damian: And you told him you want out of our marriage, right, that you want him back?

Lily: Yes, I have.

Damian: So where is he, Lily? Why isn't he jumping at the chance to reclaim his life with you?

Lily: He's -- he's been through so much. He's -- he needs time.

Damian: Time is all he's had, Lily. Stop making excuses for him!

Lily: That's not what I'm doing.

Damian: Yes, it is. If he wanted you, he'd be here. Do you know why I'm here? Because I love you, and I'm not ready to let you go.

Lily: Damian --

Damian: And you love me. I know you do.

[Katie sobs]

On the next "As the World Turns" --

Damian: We belong together, Lily.

Lily: Damian, I need Holden.

Henry: Who did this to you?

Teri: Dusty Donovan!

Margo: Drop the gun, Manzo!

Ralph: Let go of me, or I'll kill you.

Henry: How you gonna do that, Ralph?!

Ralph: With this, you punk.
