Katie: Where are you?
Ralph: Don't cry, Tesoro. Uncle Ralph is here.
Henry: Listen, Brad, I know it feels better to stay busy, but we've looked up Madigan like a dozen times. We keep coming up empty.
Brad: Well, obviously, we're not looking in the right places.
Henry: We've tried the FBI and the police and the Chicago building offices. There's nothing there!
Brad: Kim set up a bunch of search engines for journalists, okay. Maybe Madigan is listed as a source. You know, Katie's out there. She's praying for me to come and get her, and she's probably tired, hungry, and scared to death, and I am -- I'm the dad, okay? You know, it's my family. And I have to protect them. And if the only clue that I have for getting them back is a guy named Madigan, then I'm gonna search like hell. I'm gonna bust my butt in order to get it. So just leave me alone, all right?
Suspect: I'm telling you, you got the wrong guy.
Cop: We caught you with these in front of the artwork.
Suspect: I stopped to check out the competition.
Cop: Empty the pockets, Michelangelo.
Janet: Where's Parker?
Jack: Chopping firewood like a madman.
Janet: Do you really think it's a good idea to let him have an ax with the mood he's in?
Jack: He's just blowing off steam, Honey. It's better than the alternative. How's Liberty?
Janet: She's sleeping like a --
Jack: Hey, come here. Come here, come here, come here, come here. She'll get through this. She's tough. She's like her mom.
Janet: I don't feel very tough right now. I feel like -- I feel like a miserable excuse for a mother.
Jack: No, no! You're a wonderful mother. Hey, and the fact that you were willing to raise Liberty's baby --
Janet: That was stupid.
Jack: It was generous and kind.
Janet: Well, it's not gonna bring the baby back, is it? If I had just listened to my daughter instead of driving her away, this may never have happened.
Jack: Honey, that accident, that could have happened anywhere. She could have fallen down right outside. You heard what the doctor said, right? Pregnant ladies, they have fallen before without miscarrying. Clearly, something was wrong with the baby.
Janet: Doctors say that to women who lose their babies so they don't feel like it's their fault.
Jack: No. It's no one's fault. It's no one's fault, Honey. You got to stop this, okay? What's done is done. You can't change it. Maybe it was just meant to be.
Janet: I've been waiting for you to say that. You never wanted this baby to begin with.
Damian: Lily, what a wonderful surprise.
Lily: Hello, Damian.
Damian: Listen, let's not talk here. Let's go to my room. I can ask them to send up some of that special tea you like so much.
Lily: I canít. I'm here to see Holden.
Lily: The children want to throw him an old-fashioned Halloween party, you know, with hayrides and bobbing for apples, haunted house, the works -- to celebrate Holden coming home.
Damian: Yeah, well, they should celebrate. But I don't think now is the perfect time to talk to him about it.
Lily: Why not?
Lucinda: Give us a kiss, hmm?
Luke: So, what is with the summons?
Lucinda: Summons? It's not a summons. It's an intervention. Somebody's got to get your parents back together again, and I have elected us.
Katie: Give me my son. Give him to me!
Ralph: You mean this little guy?
Katie: My husband's coming. He's looking for us.
Ralph: Yeah? He didn't mention it at the baby shower.
Ralph: Oh, did I spoil the surprise? I'm sorry. But now, at least you know how I feel. See, Henry kind of ruined it for me, as well. And, you know, I did everything that I could to help him, and I wound up with nothing but trouble. Trouble. It's bad for me, but you know what? It's worse for you and junior here.
Suspect: When I showed up, the paint was already dry!
Brad: Please shut this kid up! I can't hear myself --
Henry: What? What? What is it?
Brad: It's Katie. I mean, I can't believe it. This is Katie's necklace. This belongs to my wife. Why do you have it?
Henry: Brad, before you end up on the wrong end of a Taser, man, I've never seen Katie wear that necklace.
Brad: Because I gave it to her right before you got her kidnapped.
Henry: Oh, my God.
Brad: Look, how did you get this?
Officer: It was on the kid when we picked him up.
Brad: What did you do with my wife?! Why do you have her necklace?! Tell me right now!
Ralph: You can stop crying now. Everything's okay. Your mama's okay. Hey, that's the tiniest tear I've ever seen in my life. Yeah.
Ralph: Could you make him stop, please?
Katie: He wants his mother.
Ralph: Yeah, well, I'm the boss here. You know, maybe if he decides to stop crying, I'll hand him over to his mama.
Katie: No. It doesn't work that way.
Ralph: Hey, I'm good with kids. They love me.
Katie: Maybe when you're not holding their mothers hostage.
Ralph: Oh, my eardrums are bleeding. Okay, junior. You win this one. Here. Please, please take him.
Katie: Okay. Oh, thank you. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's okay. It's okay. Oh, there you go, Sweetheart. Mama's here. Mama's here. Oh, yes, you do have a big set of lungs on you, don't you? Just like your daddy. Oh, I can't wait for him to meet you. Yeah. Oh, there you go. There you go. Oh, I love you so much. Yes, I do. I'm not gonna let anybody hurt you, I promise. No matter what.
Ralph: Hey, what are you making me out to be? I love kids. I like dogs, too. You know, don't make me out to be a monster.
Katie: Prove it. Prove you're not one. Let us go. We didn't do anything to you. We just got caught up in Henry's mess.
Ralph: Yeah, well, Henry really did make a mess, and now you're throwing him under the bus. Isn't that typical of a woman?
Katie: He means well. He really does. It's just he wanted to give you your money. He just lost everything. Can't you just write it off as a bad investment?
Ralph: That's just lousy business.
Katie: Worse than kidnapping? Henry knows what you've done. He's gonna come after you.
Ralph: I'm really scared of that. I'll take care of Henry as soon as I tie up some loose ends.
Katie: No. Please, please. This is the first day of my son's life. He deserves a chance.
Ralph: Look, I wish I could see my way clear to help you, but you just know too much, little mama.
Katie: I won't say anything. I wonít. I promise. If you'll just call an ambulance. By the time they get here, you'll be long gone, and I'll -- I'll keep the police away. I mean, I'll tell them that -- I'll give them a bad description.
Ralph: What? Do you think I was born yesterday?
Katie: Fine. You're already a kidnapper. Do you really want to add murderer of a mother and a newborn child to that? There's no mercy for a crime like that.
Ralph: I guess I got nothing to lose.
Janet: You are relieved that you don't have to raise that baby.
Jack: Okay. Please, please don't tell me how I feel, Janet.
Janet: What? Am I wrong?
Jack: I'm sorry that Liberty lost the baby, Honey. The kid's been through hell the past year, and I hated seeing her grow up so fast.
Janet: Thank God it didn't happen to Sage, right?
Jack: That's not fair. I have been nothing but supportive through this entire thing, even though I didn't necessarily agree.
Janet: Oh, come on. You've been holding your breath, praying that Parker wouldn't have to help raise my bastard kid's bastard kid!
Jack: Hey, hey! Hold your voice down, please! Liberty's right upstairs!
Janet: Oh, don't tell me you've never thought of her like that.
Jack: She's your child. She's Brad's child. You both love her more than anything in the world, and as far as I'm concerned, she's as much my family as Parker is!
Janet: Mm-hmm. Yeah, but the Snyder boys are off the hook. Parker's free, Bradley doesn't have to become a grandfather before his time, and you don't have to raise a baby that you never wanted!
Jack: Okay. You know what? You're right. I wasn't crazy about the idea that I'd be responsible for raising another child, but you know what? I would have done it, and I would have been the best damn father I could possibly be!
Janet: Oh, that's easy for you to say now that the child no longer exists.
Jack: Do you honestly believe that?
Janet: Well, it's the truth, isn't it? Where are you going?
Jack: You tell me. I mean, you got it all figured out, right?
Holden: Hi, Lily. Hi.
Lily: Sorry to interrupt your little Oktoberfest, but our children need their father.
Holden: Is something wrong?
Lily: Just the opposite. They want to throw you an old-fashioned Halloween party to welcome you home.
Maeve: Wow. That sounds like fun. Why don't I go and you two can --
Holden: No, no, no. Don't go. Listen, if this is about Halloween, that's a week away. We can talk about this some other time.
Lily: It's about more than that.
Maeve: You know, I kind of figured that. Thank you for the beers.
Holden: Thanks for the company. You happy now?
Lily: Well, she was right to leave, Holden. I mean, assuming that your children still come first before your new best friend.
Holden: Speaking of new best friends, your husband's waiting for you.
Damian: Ready for that drink now?
Lily: I don't think so.
Lucinda: Darling, you want your mom to be happy?
Luke: Yeah, of course I do.
Lucinda: Okay. Do you think anyone other than Holden can really make her that way?
Luke: No. I mean, if I believed in destiny, I would say that they're destined to be together.
Lucinda: Yes, Darling, but even destiny, whoever she is, she needs a kick in the derriere. Are you with me?
Luke: That depends on what the plan is.
Lucinda: Well, say, you get Holden up to the cabin and I get Lily, you know, up to the cabin. There, they're isolated, they're alone. She has a chance to clear the air. Mom can clear the air with him and search her heart.
Luke: And you think that this search will lead her to Dad?
Lucinda: Well, Dear, mom's got to make up her mind. She's got to make a choice. It's got to be him or him, and the sooner the better for everybody involved in the family.
Luke: But you're confident that she'll pick Dad.
Lucinda: If she chooses Damian, then so be it. So be it. I'm open-minded. But if she chooses Dad, then that'll be the best thing, and we will have helped everybody. And then we can get on with our own lives, and I can't do it without your help. Are you in?
Henry: Whoa, Brad!
Brad: Where's my wife? Her name is Katie! She's pregnant! What did you do with her?! How did you get her necklace?!
Henry: Brad, knock it off! Knock it off, Brad! Brad, listen! Okay. We're not trying to hurt you. All right. We're just trying to find my friend, Katie. That's his wife, and she's been kidnapped, and we're not saying you have anything to do with it. We just want to know where you got the necklace.
Suspect: I found it in a trash can!
Brad: You're lying.
Brad: Look, I'm gonna hang you out the window by your ankles until you tell me where she is!
Henry: Relax, Buddy! Come on! Relax!
Brad: You're not my buddy anymore.
Suspect: Are you gonna charge me or what?
Brad: Are you kidding me? You can't let him go! He can lead me to my wife! He's got her necklace!
Cop: We can't even prove he's the tagger, all right?
Henry: You can't keep him here for 24 hours at least?
Brad: I'm gonna rip the truth out of him.
Henry: No, no, no, Brad. Brad, listen to me. You getting arrested is not gonna help us find Katie. Now, let's just keep searching, okay?
Brad: That's a waste of time. There was no one -- Madigan that fit the profile we were looking for.
Henry: Then we'll try something else.
Brad: You know what, man? You're on your own, okay?
Henry: Where are you going?
Brad: To find my wife.
Henry: Ay-yi-yi. That makes two of us.
Janet: I owe you an apology.
Jack: Think so?
Janet: I didn't mean the things that I said. It was just too easy to point the finger at you rather than looking in the mirror at myself.
Jack: Oh, just forget about it.
Janet: I canít. I canít. I pressured Liberty to have a baby and let us raise her. If I didn't do that, maybe this never --
Jack: Honey, Honey, Honey. That was an accident. Liberty losing the baby was an accident.
Janet: Well, I pressured you, too. We talked about kids, and we both decided that we were okay, and I told you that you were enough for me, and you are.
Jack: Are you sure about that?
Janet: Oh, please, Honey. 100 million percent. But then Libby got pregnant, and I just saw this little mini Libby Lou running around, you know, and I got baby fever, and I thought, how fun would it be to have a baby around and not have to worry about where its next meal was coming from? And I made you feel like you owed me a baby, whether you wanted one or not. And you're so good, you let me do it.
Jack: Because there's no way that having a baby with you would be a bad thing.
Janet: But it wouldn't be your first choice. You've been a dad. Why would you want to start over? Is that why I couldn't reach you? Were you avoiding me?
Jack: Can I grab another one of these, please? Thanks.
Janet: You're hitting them pretty hard, aren't you?
Jack: It's 'cause I owe you an apology, too. There's something I haven't told you. I went to see Carly today.
Lucinda: Darling, the kids tell me they're planning to give a Halloween party for Holden to welcome him home.
Lily: But he's not home. He's haunting the Lakeview with his new best friend, Maeve. If she still calls herself that. After her extreme makeover, she may be calling herself Trixie. Either way, they're joined at the hip.
Lucinda: Oh, Darling, that's not like you to talk like that. Surely you can see this is Holden's simple way of playing hard to get.
Lily: Mother, Holden doesn't play games. He's the original straight shooter.
Lucinda: Yeah. He's still a man, isn't he?
Lily: What does that have to do with anything?
Lucinda: Darling, his pride! You're with his rival, and then you married him.
Lily: Aren't you the queen of the obvious?
Lucinda: Yes, I am that. I am. Well, he's just resentful, and he's jealous. That's why he's staying away.
Lily: Yeah, that and the fact that I married Damian.
Lucinda: That's why Satan made lawyers, Darling. Look, this is a painful mess, but there is a relatively simple remedy.
Lily: What's that?
Lucinda: A cabin in the mountains with a single blanket.
Maeve: Hi. Aren't you supposed to be making a Halloween costume or something?
Holden: Listen, I'm sorry about the way Lily treated you downstairs.
Maeve: You mean like I didn't exist?
Holden: She's usually not so rude.
Maeve: Well, she's just trying to hang on to her man. Can't say I blame her. Of course it is easier to hang on to one man if you let the other one go.
Holden: It's complicated.
Maeve: Not from where I stand.
Holden: Ah. Is this what I think it is?
Maeve: Yep, yep. That would be the money from the root cellar. It still smells kind of musty, but you know what? It spends really good.
Holden: You know, this money, these bills, they're probably marked, so if you continue to spend them, sooner or later, the feds are probably gonna trace them back to you.
Maeve: I know, I know. I just can't bring myself to give it back. When I first came in to this room, I sat down on the middle of that bed, and I grabbed up all that money, and I threw it up in the air. It was just raining $100 bills. And then I called up, and I ordered me some champagne and one of those fancy cheese plates, and I laid back and fell asleep on a blanket of cash.
Holden: Sounds like it was fun.
Maeve: It was scratchy a little, but the bills, they aren't so new now.
Holden: But you know what, Maeve, it's dangerous. You cannot keep it.
Maeve: I know, but I'll -- I'll risk it.
Holden: I'll tell you what. I'll make you a deal. You give the money back and I'll reimburse you. I'll give you the money, no strings attached.
Maeve: But I don't want charity. I am finally free, and I like it. I don't want to owe anybody anything, especially not you.
Holden: Yeah, but --
Maeve: I know. Okay. I know, I know. I got to give it back. I got to give it back. I'll give it back. That's gonna mean I have to get a job, though.
Holden: You'll probably find something in Chicago.
Maeve: Nah, too big. Actually, I like it here.
Holden: In Oakdale?
Maeve: Actually, in this hotel. I was kind of thinking, you know, I'm a people person, and maybe they have an opening for, like, a greeter or hostess or something? I could welcome people, make them feel comfortable and all.
Holden: Lily owns the hotel.
Maeve: Block that one out. Guess I'll go with plan "B" then.
Holden: Which is?
Maeve: I'll let you know when I come up with it.
Holden: I'll tell you what. I'm gonna talk to Lily. She owes me one.
Damian: Luciano. Hey.
Luke: Oh, hey, Damian. How are you?
Damian: I'm very well. Thank you. Happy to see you. Free for an early dinner tonight?
Luke: Actually, I have plans.
Damian: Oh, well. Must run in the family. Your mother seems to be avoiding me, as well.
Luke: Oh, I'm not avoiding you. It's just tonight --
Damian: You want to spend time with Holden. I understand. I know how close the two of you are.
Luke: Well, thank you for understanding.
Damian: Of course. Yeah. Holden's going through a hard time right now, and now that he knows that your mother and I are legally married, I'm sure he --
Damian: Your mother didn't tell you?
Luke: No. Is it true?
Damian: Very much so.
Luke: Then if you and my mom are married --
Damian: Holden has no claim on her anymore. Lily is my wife now.
Brad: You really didn't think I was gonna let you go, did you? Look, I'm not a cop, and I don't have to obey the law if I don't feel like it. It's your call, okay? Just nod that you understand me. I want you to tell me where and how you found my wife's necklace. I want you to tell me where you got it. And if you lie to me, I will hunt you down, I will find you, and I will fill your lungs full of spray paint. Do you understand? That's not a fun way to go.
Henry: Am I too early or too late?
Toland: Do I know you?
Henry: I'm an old buddy of Sal and Finnís. You're Toland, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They told me about you. They said you'd be handling hotel security so we don't get any disturbances during the game. Okay. Mum's the word. Got it. That's just the way Mr. Madigan would want it, right? You know, Ralph. He's always playing like he's a big man, like he's calling the shots, but we know that Mr. Madigan's really in control. That reminds me. That reminds me. I owe him some money. I had a horrible streak of luck the other night, horrible streak, and I gave him an I.O.U., but I forgot to write down his new address. Do you have that on you?
Toland: I don't know anybody named Madigan.
Henry: Gosh, that's the wrong answer, because I would hate to inform my dear friend, Detective Snyder, about an illegal poker game going on here.
Toland: I don't know anybody named Madigan, I swear.
Henry: Yeah, and you're lying, okay? Because Sal and Finn were talking about Madigan.
Toland: Madigan's warehouse? That's where Sal works nights.
Henry: It's a place, not a person?
Katie: You say you're not a monster, but you would just shoot me in cold blood?
Ralph: It's just business.
Katie: What about my baby? He's a child. He's a little boy. He's not a loose end. My husband and I tried for so long. We thought we were never gonna be able to have children, and then I got pregnant. He's our little miracle. His father hasn't even met him yet.
Ralph: Will you shut up?
Katie: You came here to kill me, didn't you?
Ralph: Smart girl.
Katie: Then why don't you just do it? Just pull the trigger. Just do it and get it over with.
Ralph: I don't shoot babies or defenseless women. I'm gonna take off, leave you two to take your chances.
Katie: No, no, no! That's the same as killing us!
Ralph: I thought you said your husband was riding to the rescue.
Katie: I'm sure he's looking for me, but I don't know how much longer I have. I've lost so much blood. I just -- I don't feel well, and if I die, then my baby is just --
Ralph: It's not my problem.
Katie: I don't care about me. Please. I care about my baby. Don't let him die, even if you just have to take him to the hospital and leave him at the door. Please. Don't let him die.
Ralph: You're a brave one. I'll give you that.
Katie: I'm not brave. I'm his mother. What would you do if it was your child? Oh, please. Oh. I'm not gonna last much longer. Please. I can feel it. Please tell me you'll save my son.
Lily: You want me to lure Holden to the cabin to seduce him? The last time I tried something like that, I nearly got divorced!
Lucinda: That was then, Dear. What's happened to Holden, I mean, this experience -- there has been profound changes inside him.
Lily: He is still the same person, Mother, and I have learned from my mistakes, even if you havenít.
Lucinda: Well, at the time, Dear, I didn't think that manipulating him was a good idea, and I was right. Now I think, though, that you should go for it. Why not trust my instincts instead of yours?
Lily: I am not going to trick Holden into being alone with me.
Lucinda: Please do not use the word "Trick." Holden needs to be reminded. He needs to know how much he loves you. That's all. Oh, forget it. All right. If you don't want to, forget it. If you're afraid, you don't want to. Doesn't seem like the right thing. I don't care anymore.
Lily: You know, those cabins book early.
Lucinda: Yeah, I know. That's why I reserved one.
Luke: How can my mom be married to two people at the same time?
Damian: Holden was declared legally dead. In the eyes of the law, your mother was a widow, free to do whatever she wanted with her life.
Luke: Yeah, but that was a huge mistake.
Damian: The law is the law, Luke, and I'm glad, because I love your mother very much. That didn't change just because Holden came back.
Luke: Well, I don't know what to think. I mean, if you both honestly love her --
Damian: This is the way love is, Luke, really. I mean, affairs of the heart, someone always ends up on the outside looking in.
Luke: Well, I guess the most important thing is what my mother wants. And you are gonna respect that, right?
Damian: Absolutely, as long as she chooses me. Of course I'm joking. I mean, how else can we deal with this absurd situation?
Luke: It's a mess.
Damian: Yeah. Well, I trust Lily to search her heart.
Luke: Yeah. Yeah. She has to search her heart, and then she'll figure out who she really wants. Thanks, Damian.
Damian: You're welcome.
Jack: Thank you. Craig and Rosanna are having an affair.
Janet: What?! You're kidding.
Jack: Nope. Parker walked in on them. That's why Craig's giving him access to his trust fund, as a bribe to keep him quiet and not tell Carly.
Janet: Oh! Poor Parker.
Jack: Oh, Parker's fine, believe me. He knows how to work the system. But Carly's fragile. And I kind of wanted her to find out about it while she was in the clinic so she could get the help she needs to deal with it. Because the last thing the kids need is for her to come home just to spiral out of control again. So, that's where I was when you were calling me. Waiting for Carly. Are you angry with me?
Janet: Oh, Honey, after the horrible day I've had, I've got no anger left inside me whatsoever. But I really, really thought that Craig loved Carly.
Jack: He's Craig.
Janet: And she's Carly. But Craig and Rosanna? I never saw that coming.
Jack: Honey, they have a history.
Janet: I know. You've told me. I wouldn't be surprised if they murdered each other, but an affair? Wow!
Jack: Her fiancť and her sister. Carly's not gonna take that well.
Janet: Well, you got a temporary reprieve. You're not driving out there tonight, all right? Come on. I'm taking you home.
Henry: Brad, Brad, it's me. I know how to find Katie. Madigan isn't a person, it's a place. It's a warehouse out by the rail yard. Now, listen to me. Do not call the police, because they will come in with guns blazing. Just meet me out there. We'll find Katie together. And do not call the cops, all right?
Jack: What was that about Katie?
Henry: Uh, I was calling to check about the baby, my little God kinder, in case I was called to --
Jack: Brad was worried about her when he couldn't find her earlier.
Jack: If something's wrong, Henry, you got to tell me what it is, so start talking.
Janet: I pulled the car around.
Jack: Something's wrong with Katie.
Janet: What? What, is it the baby?
Henry: No, it's not the baby. It's -- Katie's been kidnapped.
Jack: Kidnapped? You're just telling me this now?!
Henry: It's a long story. She's at a warehouse, Madiganís warehouse. Jack, listen, the guy that's holding her, he doesn't care that she's pregnant, okay? He will not hesitate to -- I can't even say it. I can't even say it.
Jack: Call Margo. Tell her what you just told me. Have her send backup, okay? Go home.
Janet: Wait, Jack, Jack. You've had a few. Don't you think you should send somebody else?
Jack: There's no time for that. Just -- I'll call you as soon as I know something, all right?
Henry: I'm coming with you.
Jack: No! You just do what I told you and have backup sent to that warehouse now!
Katie: If you can't let me go, I can accept that, but please save my son. He can't hurt you. All he is is good. Please. My son needs a guardian angel. Help him. Please help him. Maybe it'll make up for all the bad things.
Brad: Katie! Where are you?
Brad: Katie, can you hear me? Katie!
Brad: Oh, my God! [Grunts] Damn it!
Ralph: Get up very slowly. Get up. Nice of you to join us.
Henry: Whoa! Don't shoot! Don't shoot!
Jack: What are you doing here? I told you to wait for backup!
Henry: I did! They're on their way, okay?
Jack: Good, then wait here for them.
Henry: No, Jack! No! I got Katie into this. I'm gonna help get her out of it.
Jack: All right, but you keep your mouth shut and you do exactly what I tell you.
Luke: Hey, Dad. I was just coming to look for you.
Holden: Maeve, I want to introduce you to my son, Luke. Luke, this is Maeve.
Maeve: Finally. It's so nice to meet you. Holden's told me so much about you.
Holden: Maeve is the one who saved my life in Kentucky.
Luke: Oh, so you're the wife of the man who --
Holden: Maeve is Ebís wife, but she was a victim in all this, just like me.
Maeve: Holden keeps telling everybody I saved him, but it's not really true. We saved each other. In fact, it's because of him that I have a second chance at life. Your father's a wonderful man. I hope you're as proud of him as he is of you.
Luke: Everything okay?
Maeve: You know, I'm gonna go ahead and let you two talk. I think I'll head down to the watering hole. A pleasure, really, Luke. A pleasure.
Luke: Um --
Holden: Is this about the Halloween party? 'Cause I was just about to call your mom. I think it's a great idea.
Luke: No. Actually, I think I have a better idea.
Holden: Which is?
Luke: Well, Faith and Natalie were obviously so upset when you were gone, and Ethan is very confused. You know, it was very hard to explain to him that you weren't coming back.
Holden: Because I came back, and it was out of nowhere.
Luke: Yeah, and he has tons of questions. But more than that, he just wants to hang out with his dad. So, I was thinking we could all rent one of those mountain cabins that we like so much, spend a couple days.
Holden: So, it would be just you, me, and the kids.
Luke: You know what? Scratch that. I think the kids are really, really excited about the party.
Holden: No. I think it's a great idea, if you don't mind spending time with your old man. I think we should do it. I think it's a great idea.
Damian: Put the lady's drink on my tab.
Maeve: My mama always told me to pay for my own drinks.
Damian: Oh. How did that work out?
Maeve: A lot of thirsty evenings. You're good. I can see why Lily might have jumped the gun a bit with you.
Damian: You're not so bad yourself. You have come a long way.
Maeve: I have Holden to thank for that.
Damian: Well, then it looks like he has a lot to thank you for, as well. You were lucky to find each other.
Maeve: I reckon we were at that.
Lily: Oh, no.
Brad: Ow. You know, you could just shoot me. You don't have to dig a hole in my head.
Ralph: You're a funny guy. It was very brave of you to come alone.
Brad: What makes you think I'm alone? My brother's a cop. The S.W.A.T. team, man, they're right behind me.
Ralph: You're a funny guy, papa. The S.W.A.T. team always comes in first.
Brad: What do you mean -- why did you call me papa?
Ralph: Didn't I mention it? Felicitations. Short-lived, though, it may be.
Brad: What do you mean, "Short-lived"?
Ralph: You blew it. Your kid had a chance to grow up with at least one parent. Now I have no choice.
Brad: Where's my wife? Where's my son?
Ralph: You'll be joining them very soon, forever and ever, amen.
Brad: No, no, no, no, no, no. My son's alive. I just heard him crying. Okay, I need -- I have to see him, damn it! All right? I have to see if he's okay!
Jack: Police! Katie?
Maeve: Hey. Hey, stranger. You off to a horse show or something?
Holden: Actually, I'm going up to the mountains to spend some time with my kids.
Maeve: Really? That sounds like so much fun. Well, I love the mountains. It'll be nice to be up in the clouds looking down, instead of down in the valley.
Holden: Yeah. It's just gonna be me and the kids. We haven't been able to spend time together since I got back.
Maeve: Oh, definitely. Definitely. Gosh, have a great time. You deserve it.
Holden: See you.
Damian: Drinking alone?
Lucinda: No. Actually, I'm meeting someone. I'm sorry. Table for one must be so lonely, but you have time. Plenty of time. You can get used to it.
Damian: No. I enjoy my own company.
Lucinda: How fortunate for you.
Damian: Anyways, I'm not staying. I'm just planning a quiet dinner tomorrow evening in my room for two.
Lucinda: Oh. Somebody new. Somebody exciting. You must know American lawyers can fast-track an annulment. I mean you can just be free, a free man, in no time.
Damian: I don't want my freedom. In fact, I'm having dinner with my wife tomorrow night.
Lucinda: Oh. Oh. Oh? Does Lily know this?
Damian: I haven't run it by her yet, but I'm sure she'll say yes.
Lucinda: I wouldn't count on it.
Jack: [Whispering] Shh! Quiet! I hit someone. I heard them go down, but they could still be dangerous.
Jack: Oh, my God. The baby. Over here.
Henry: No, no, no, no, no. Hey, there. No, no. Katie. Hey, there, little guy. Oh, my God!
Jack: Oh, look at you.
Henry: Katie. No, no, no, no. Open your eyes, Sweetheart. Come on.
Henry: Yes! Yes, that's right, baby. I'm here. Everything's gonna be okay, Sweetie, all right? You're safe.
Katie: My baby. My baby. My baby.
Henry: Its okay, its okay, it's okay. The baby's okay.
Jack: We're gonna get you out of here, okay? Paramedics are on the way. You just sit tight, okay?
Henry: Here. Ooh. Oh, my goodness. You just hang in there, Sweetheart. Just hang in there, okay?
Jack: You stay with the baby, all right?
Henry: You know, with this drool on his mouth, he looks just like Brad.
Katie: Brad? He's here.
Henry: Yeah, yeah. We're gonna bring him to you as soon as you're okay. Okay, Sweetheart? You did good, Katie. You did good. You did real good.
Next week on "As the World Turns" --
Jack: Brad? Brad, you got to stay with me! Please! I have no one to blame, because I'm the reason this happened. Me.
