Liberty: Oh, these are so cute.

Parker: Uh, hey, uh, why -- why are you putting stuff in that bag? You know, we can't go over to the new apartment yet.

Liberty: Oh, I know, Parker, not until its official or anything. I'm just so excited.

Parker: Right. Um, Liberty, I need to talk to you.

Liberty: Hey, we will talk more on the way, because I got to bring these plates over, just to make sure that they match the decor, you know? I just -- I kind of don't want to buy something --

Janet: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Are you two going out again?

Liberty: Uh, just for a minute, Mom.

Janet: Well, can it wait? Because I really need your help. I need you to help me bring some stuff over to Brad and Katieís.

Liberty: Oh, no. The baby shower. I completely forgot.

Parker: You know what? You -- you're gonna have your hands full. You're gonna be really distracted. Why don't I just go home? I'll see you guys later.

Liberty: Okay. Bye. Uh, yeah. Mom, I -- I really do not want to go to the baby shower.

Janet: Sure you do, Honey. It will be fun. Hi. Sweetheart, uh, it's me. I really hope you're on your way over here, because I don't want to be late for the shower, okay? I'll see you soon. [Sighs] What?

Liberty: You guys, like, get in a fight or something?

Janet: Uh, we had some words. I got to figure what to bring to the party.

Liberty: Words, eh? Words about what, me?

Janet: Uh, I don't even remember. Listen, are you gonna wear that? 'Cause --

Liberty: Mom, I'm not going to the baby shower, okay?

Janet: Oh, come on. Don't you want to celebrate your little stepbrother, huh? They're having a boy. Did you hear?

Liberty: Mom, it's not something I want to be around when I'm giving my baby up for adoption, okay? I'm gonna be setting up for my new apartment.

Janet: Wait a minute. Are you still thinking about that?

Liberty: Oh, no. It's not something I'm thinking about, Mom. I'm moving out, and it will be a lot better for everyone when I have my own place.

Paul: Who are you calling?

Emily: No, it's not who I'm calling. It's who's not calling me. Liberty's not returning any of my messages.

Paul: No.

Emily: No, I blew it. Will you just admit it? I was pushy. And now she's --

Paul: Maybe a little.

Emily: She's moving out, and she's probably gonna give her baby to somebody else.

Paul: Honey, come here.

Emily: No, I -- I wanted that baby. You know that.

Paul: Did I or did I not promise you that we would have a family together?

Emily: You did. But how are you gonna pull that off without Liberty in the picture?

Paul: Well, I think I have a plan to get her back on our side.

Emily: You do? What is it?

Paul: This.

Emily: Ooh.

Paul: Yeah.

Emily: Nice house.

Paul: No kidding.

Emily: Whose is it?

Paul: Ours, if you say please. Say please.

[Emily stammers]

Emily: You -- you want to move? What's -- what's wrong with this place?

Paul: Nothing's wrong with this place. It's just, you know, location. This is in, uh, Malibu.

Emily: Malibu, California?

Paul: No, Malibu, Connecticut. I want to move here, and I think we should bring Liberty with us.

Craig: Wow. Stunning.

Rosanna: Thank you. Maybe we should take separate cars.

Craig: Why?

Rosanna: Because if you keep looking at me like that, everybody's gonna know that we're sleeping together.

Craig: Oh, yes. But if we ride over together, it will give me more time to get used to you in that dress, and maybe my lust will wane. Uh, yeah.

[Rosanna chuckles]

Rosanna: Better not. [Sighs] Sure about going public?

Craig: Jack knows about it. He's not gonna keep it to himself. Why should we? Okay. Before you light into me for being on the premises, I want you to know we've talked to Jack. Everything's out in the open.

Parker: Is he gonna tell my mom?

Rosanna: No. Um, we convinced Jack to let us tell her when Carly comes back from rehab.

Craig: In the meantime, you don't have to keep any secrets for us, and I apologize for asking you to do that.

Parker: Oh, well, I -- I'm sorry about trying to blackmail you.

Craig: Apology accepted.

Parker: But I do need some cash. So do -- do you think that maybe I could get some money from my trust fund anyway?

Craig: Nice try, Parker, but no. The money stays where it is, collecting interest.

Parker: You know, Liberty really needs her own place.

Rosanna: Oh, come on. What did she say when, uh, you told her that it wasn't gonna work out? Parker, you did tell her, didn't you?

Parker: She got -- she got dishes a -- and mugs and everything, and she's really excited about fixing this place up. And every time I open my mouth to try to tell her --

Rosanna: Come on, Parker. You have to tell her the truth.

Parker: Yeah. You two would know all about the truth, wouldn't you?

Craig: Hey, Parker, that's enough.

Rosanna: No, it's -- it's okay. He's right. I mean, look what happened to us. We tried to keep secret what was going on between us, and it came out anyway. It always does. All the more reason why you should be honest with Liberty. The sooner, the better. She deserves it, for her sake.

[Katie exhales sharply]

Katie: Okay, baby. Bad news. We have definitely been left alone in the middle of nowhere, and we need to come up with a plan. You're being kind of quiet. I'm not asking for a lot. Just a little encouragement, please. You know, I was a cheerleader. You can be a cheerleader, too. Don't tell your dad I said that. Okay. [Katie exhales sharply] I need to think. Oh, if someone would just help me figure this out!

Henry: Troubles? Can I help?

Katie: Henry, can you help? Yeah, you can help. I wouldn't even be in this situation if you hadn't let yourself get involved with a mobster. What were you thinking?! Now you get me into this mess! So yeah, you can figure out a way to help me and my baby get out of it!

Henry: Where's Katie? Uh, yeah, well, it's only natural you would want to know where your wife is.

Ralph: You're married to Katie? Cute girl. I'm Ralph Manzo.

Brad: Yeah, hey, Brad Snyder. I'm sorry. Nice to meet you.

Ralph: Yeah, yeah.

Brad: So, uh, where is she?

Henry: Uh, ladies room. Uh, which means you better get out of here before she spies you and spoils the whole surprise.

Brad: You know, its okay. I don't have the cake yet. You know, I'm -- I'm throwing a surprise shower for my wife. You know, so don't let the cat out when she comes back.

Ralph: Your wife's pregnant?

Brad: Yeah, what, you didn't notice?

Ralph: No, she was wearing a big coat.

Brad: Oh. [Brad laughs] Oh, man. I can't wait to tell -- that's gonna make her feel really good. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna have a baby soon.

Ralph: Yeah. Baby on the way. Oh, that's fantastic. That really is. You're gonna have to give her extra-special care for the little lady.

Brad: You better believe it. Uh, so just make sure you get her out of here as soon as she gets back so she doesn't see the cake.

Henry: All right. You got it, you got it.

Brad: And you know what? You know, uh -- you're welcome to come. You want to come to the baby shower, you can come. I mean, any friend of Henry's is a friend of ours.

Ralph: Oh, thanks very much for the invite, but I do have some business to do. I -- I've got to deliver a package. And Henry here is nice enough to help me with it.

Brad: Oh, man. I'm so -- that's -- you know, I'm really sorry. That's the business Katie was talking about.

Henry: It's -- its okay. We're almost done. We're almost done.

Brad: I got an idea. When she comes back, I'll keep her occupied. You take the cake and bring it to the house. And, you know, that way, if I bring her home, she'll never suspect a party, so she'll be super-extra surprised. How's that for a great idea?

Henry: No. I -- I just think it would be better to stick to the original plan.

Brad: Why?

Henry: Why?

Brad: Why?

Henry: Because Katie thinks it's her mission in life to save me from depression. And with Vienna gone, if I just took off --

Brad: You know, yeah. You're right, you're right. No, no, no, you're right, you're right. You know, she, uh -- she'll worry. She'll worry.

Henry: Yeah.

Brad: Smart. Okay, so just make sure you call me when you two get close so I get enough time to set everything up to say -- you know, yell, "Surprise!"

Henry: I will give you plenty of time. You better get out of here before she comes out.

Brad: Okay. Hey, nice to meet you.

Ralph: Yeah, you too.

Brad: Remember, you know, hey, baby shower. You know, it's -- well, you know what I mean. All right.

Henry: Where is she?

Ralph: Where's the money?

Henry: It's in my pocket. But you don't see it until I see Katie.

Ralph: That's not the way it works. Money first, girl after.

Henry: No. You -- listen. You listen to me, Uncle Ralphie. I -- I have played along with you long enough, okay? I've given into your threats, and I've jumped through hoops. I'm not gonna do that anymore. You won't even look at the check until I have Katie in front of me.

Rosanna: Look, you just have to accept the way things are. Be honest about it. Try to make up for it the best you can and -- I don't know, do everything you can to show that you care about that person from that point on.

Parker: Okay. Um, I guess I'm gonna go do that now.

Rosanna: Okay.

Parker: You really can't get me any money?

Craig: Sorry, Parker.

Parker: Yeah, me too.

[Rosanna sighs]

Craig: Did you mean what you just said?

Rosanna: Yeah. Why?

Craig: So I'm the thing you didn't expect?

Rosanna: Um, of course. I -- you know, I didn't choose to have feelings about you or to do something that was gonna devastate my sister. But I am choosing to go on with it. I don't know what that says about me as a person.

[Rosanna laughs]

Craig: It says what we have means something to you, and that means a lot to me.

Rosanna: Does it ever bother you, Craig? I mean, what we're doing to Carly?

[Craig groans]

Craig: I fell in love with her in this house. I proposed to her here. I never wanted to hurt her. And I even promised that I wouldnít. But here I am.

Rosanna: With me. Why?

Craig: Because I never got over you. And I never would have known that if you didn't let me in. I'm glad you did, though.

Rosanna: Me too. [Rosanna laughs] So, um, shall we go make our public debut?

Craig: Here goes nothing.

Rosanna: [Laughs] Okay.

Emily: Okay, um, yeah, sit. Um, what about the newspaper?

Paul: What about it?

Emily: What about our children?

Paul: Well, the newspaper you already run by e-mail, video conferencing, so that doesn't change. And we can come back a couple of times a month. You can see Hunter. You can see Daniel. You can see your mom, your sister, everybody.

Emily: You've really thought about this.

Paul: Well, I really want to start a family.

Emily: I do, too. But just because we're willing to uproot ourselves and move clear across the country doesn't mean Liberty's gonna want to do the same thing.

Paul: Well, maybe she won't look at it like that. Maybe she'll look at it like it's a beach vacation until she has the baby.

Emily: A beach vacation? Okay, I know you haven't forgotten about this person.

Paul: Eliza?

Emily: Are you willing to move away from your little girl? Do you realize what you're gonna miss, watching her grow up?

Paul: God, I'm sure we can work out visitation. And it's not like -- once Liberty goes off to school, we can come back. Emily, we can do this.

Emily: I think -- I think we can. I think we can. But how are we gonna get Liberty to do it if she won't return my calls?

Paul: Well, let's just go see her.

Emily: What? Janet's not gonna let us in.

Paul: We won't give her a choice.

Janet: What's best is for you to stay here, at home, where I can take care of you.

Liberty: Mom, I can take care of myself, okay? And anyway, it's way too tense around here.

Janet: You know what? We can fix that, you know? I mean, Jack will come around, and he'll --

Liberty: Were you and Jack fighting about adopting the baby?

Janet: We didn't fight.

Liberty: He doesn't want to have the baby, does he, Mom?

Janet: He will. He just needs to get used to the idea.

Liberty: When you push him into the idea, Mom.

Janet: Oh, come on. Now, Sweetheart, he's a good father. You know that. He's just -- he'll come around. He'll --

Liberty: What?! "Come around"?! No. That's not good enough. I don't want the baby to be raised by somebody who has to be forced into it, Mom.

Janet: Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything.

Liberty: Mom, you are! You're forcing him. And you're the only one that wants this baby here. Don't you see that it's not fair to -- to him or to me or to the baby?

Parker: Bad time?

Janet: Yes.

Liberty: No. I'm really glad you're here. I want you to help me move into the new apartment right now.

Henry: I am tired of you running the show. It -- it's my turn to call the shots.

Ralph: That's an unfortunate choice of words when your friend's life is at stake.

Henry: No. You couldn't do that. You wouldn't do that. Katie is an innocent bystander, okay? You can't -- you can't kill her, all right? You canít.

Ralph: I won't kill her if you give me the money.

Henry: Wait a second. Wait. H -- how do I know you're not gonna pull another dirty trick?

Ralph: Because I'm a man of my word.

Henry: How do I know that?

Ralph: How many times have I threatened you?

Henry: Too many?

Ralph: How many times have I come through?

Henry: Always.

Ralph: So you give me the money, I give you the girl. A deal's a deal.

Henry: How does this work? How and when do I get Katie back?

Ralph: I check with the bank. If the check is good, I release the girl. Nice doing business with you.

Henry: Yeah, I wish I could say the same thing.

Ralph: Well, why don't you go on to the party now. The guest of honor will be there shortly.

Henry: She better be, Ralph.

Katie: I've been abandoned here with no food, nothing to drink. It's hot as hell in here. Nobody knows where I am, and I miss Brad. I miss him so much.

Henry: Is the whining helping?

Katie: Don't you make fun of me, Henry. Don't you dare.

Henry: It's not like you're tied to a burning stake here, Katie. We've been through worse than this! Come on! We survived that deserted island and all the plots and the schemes and the murder threats. Instead of yelling at me, why don't you use that energy to figure out a way to get out of this place?

Katie: Thanks. You've been a great help. No. [Katie sighs] Maybe there's something up there I can use. Yes. I can just hoist my pregnant self up there.

[Katie groans]

Brad: Hey! Oh, I'm so glad you guys could make it. Hey, did I tell you that we are having a boy?

Rosanna: Yes! [Rosanna laughs] It was good news then. It's good news now.

Craig: What?

Margo: Katie Ann Peretti Snyder, what do you think you're doing?

Katie: Margo, I'm trying to reach this shelf. Did you bring a ladder with you?

Margo: You're pregnant. You shouldn't be climbing on anything.

Katie: Well, I shouldn't be locked up in here with no food or water, either.

Margo: I have a whole herd of cops at my disposal. You'll be out of here in no time. Now, get down off that chair.

Katie: Okay. Okay, you're right. Thank you.

Craig: Since when are you a quitter?

Margo: Shut up and go away, Craig. You're not helping.

Craig: And you are, telling her to sit here and wait for you like a good little girl? It's a life-and-death situation. The last thing she should do is nothing.

Janet: Sweetheart, it's not fair for you to put Parker in the middle of this, okay? This is between you and me. Parker, would you please leave so we can talk about this?

Liberty: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. He's not going anywhere, Mom. You're not the boss of him, even though you like to think you are.

Paul: Hi. I'd ask how everything's going, but we could hear you guys halfway down the road.

Janet: We're in the middle of something. Could you leave?

Paul: Well, maybe we can help.

Janet: I doubt it.

Emily: Yeah, well, somebody needs to defuse the tension.

Paul: And Emily and I have a plan to do just that.

Janet: Oh, I don't want to hear it.

Liberty: Yeah, well, I do. I -- I would like to hear whatever it is that Emily and Paul have to say.

Paul: Okay. Well, Emily and I are moving to California.

Emily: And we want you to come with us.

[Janet laughs]

Janet: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You two are not taking my daughter anywhere. And get out of my house!

Margo: You know, given the history you have with my brother, it's kind of surprising to see you looking so comfortable around him.

Rosanna: Oh, well, you know. He's, uh -- he's not the same person he was, is he?

Margo: He ran you off the road. You said he tried to kill you.

Rosanna: Well, that's true, but he's changed since then.

Margo: I'd like to think so.

Rosanna: You don't?

Margo: He's Craig.

Rosanna: He's your brother. Think you'd have a little bit more faith in him.

Margo: Well, I love him, but every time I do that, he goes ahead, and he does something terrible again.

Rosanna: Well, he hasn't done anything too stupid lately.

Margo: Yes, he has. Parker -- he went ahead and gave Parker his trust fund. You knew about that, right?

Rosanna: Of course I did, and I was against it. But he's since reversed himself.

Margo: Oh. How did that come about?

Rosanna: The important thing is that he recognized that he was wrong.

Margo: Mm. Tell me something, Rosanna. What did Craig do to make you so forgiving?

Rosanna: What are you asking?

Margo: I'm not asking. I'm warning. Be careful.

Craig: Find yourself a way out now.

Margo: And risk hurting herself for the baby?

Craig: And once you're free, you tell me who did this to you, and I'll take care of whoever's responsible.

Margo: Oh, no, you wonít.

Craig: Because no one treats my sister like this.

Margo: Katie doesn't need you going all vigilante now.

Craig: You have no idea what Katie needs. So for once, would you please just shut up?

Margo: No, you shut up.

Craig: No, you shut up.

Margo: You shut up.

Craig: You shut up.

Margo: You shut up.

Katie: Both of you, shut up! [Sighs] No, no. I'm sorry. I'm not going crazy, yet. But if I don't get out of here soon, I will.

Ralph: You guys better have a good reason for not getting in touch with me, like maybe you're dead. Because that's what you're gonna be if I don't hear from you soon. I want that girl back, and I want her back now. What the hell could they have done with her?

All: Surprise!

Henry: Ah.

Brad: Why -- why didn't you call me before you got here? Where's Katie?

Henry: Uh, she should be right behind me.

Margo: Yeah, she should be.

Henry: Yeah. [Stammers] Don't worry. I did everything I was supposed to do to get her here, and she should be coming in any second.

Brad: Did you give Katie a specific time to show up?

Henry: Of course I did! But you know her. She's -- she's on Katie time. She probably stopped to pet a puppy or something.

Craig: Brad, maybe you should call her.

Henry: No, no, no, no. And ruin the surprise? No, no, no, no. We should go on with the party. When she gets here, she's gonna want to see us all having a lot of fun. So, uh, I say we have a drink or two while we wait.

Brad: Well, since Katie can't drink anyway, uh, I went ahead and opened up some champagne.

Henry: Great. I'll have one of those. [Chuckles]

Brad: Here we go.

Margo: Thank you.

Craig: Thank you.

Henry: Can I have a refill?

Brad: In a minute. I was -- I was gonna give a toast.

Henry: Well, that's all the more reason to give me some more champagne.

Brad: I was gonna give a toast to you, knucklehead. You know, its bad luck to drink to yourself.

Henry: A toasty to me? Why?

Craig: That's an excellent question.

Brad: When my wife gets here, I'll give a toast to her. In the meanwhile, I want to toast to her best friend. You two -- you've had your ups and downs, but you've stuck by her always until the end, no matter what hard times you've been going through.

Henry: Yeah, you're, uh, really embarrassing me here.

Brad: No, you know? It's -- it's the truth. It's the truth. When I married Katie, okay, you became one of my good friends. And I know that when little junior is born, there's no one he's gonna be able to count on more than Uncle Henry. All right? To Uncle Henry.

All: To Henry.

Katie: I'm gonna kill your Uncle Henry, and this time, I mean it. 'Cause I'm sorry. I've been racking my brain, baby doll, but I cannot figure out a way to get out of this. And I don't want you to be scared.

Brad: Hey. Don't talk to our son that way. You're freaking him out!

Katie: Brad. Oh, Brad, I knew you wouldn't desert me.

Brad: Didn't sound like it.

Katie: I was just feeling sorry for myself. But that's over now, 'cause you're here.

Brad: I gave you that necklace. I expect you to live up to it.

Katie: What does that mean?

Brad: You're my very smart wife. You tell me.

Katie: The little circle inside is our baby. The circle on the outside is me, protecting him.

Brad: Yeah, yeah. And what is it?

Katie: It's like our wedding rings. It's a commitment.

Brad: A promise. You take care of the baby, I take care of you, and then everything else starts to look up. Get it, looking up?

Katie: Brad, there's a window. Do you see it?

Brad: Yeah, I see it.

Katie: Oh, my God! I didn't notice it before, but it's definitely a window! I should have known that you'd help me find a way out of here.

Brad: I didn't find it. You found it. Use it.

Janet: What part of "Get out" do you not understand?

Paul: Janet, look, don't get upset. And no offense, but we didn't come here to talk to you. We came here to talk to Liberty.

Janet: Oh, yeah, so you could drag her off to California?! You two are out of your minds! She's not going anywhere with you!

Liberty: Mom, if you're gonna argue about me like I'm not even here, then I'm leaving. Thank God I've got somewhere else to go.

Parker: That was crazy.

Liberty: Mm, yeah. You just got to witness firsthand what my life has been like lately. If it weren't for you getting me this apartment, I would be going completely insane. Can we just please go?

Parker: No. Liberty, we canít.

Liberty: Why? What are you talking about? Parker?

Parker: I've been trying to tell you all day, and I'm really not sure how to say it.

Liberty: What? What? What happened?

Parker: Craig backed out of the deal, which means that I'm not getting my money. And -- and therefore, I can't get you your apartment.

Henry: Any sign of Katie?

Brad: Not yet. I'd better call her.

Craig: What was my sister chewing your ear off about?

Rosanna: Oh, nothing. You know, just the usual party talk.

Craig: Uh-huh. Something tells me there's more to it than that.

Rosanna: No, uh -- well, she was just warning me to be careful.

Craig: Warning you to be careful. Uh, over what, icy roads? Grizzly bears?

[Rosanna laughs]

Craig: The sky's falling? What?

Rosanna: You. She was saying I should be careful about you.

Craig: Margo -- of course you told her that's absurd. "No, no, no. Craig treats me like a queen, with all the reverence and deference that one normally reserves for newborn babies and fine art."

[Rosanna chuckles]

Rosanna: I -- I didn't really put it that way.

Craig: Did you tell her we're together?

Rosanna: Well, you know, it was Margo being Margo. I really didn't think it was appropriate to say anything.

Craig: So you didn't confirm or deny?

Rosanna: Well, no. I just didn't want to push the issue, see?

Craig: Yeah. O -- okay. So so much for being honest and, uh, going public. Unless you, uh -- unless you just were honest.

Rosanna: Craig, I just don't know if now is the right time.

Craig: Do you have cab fare?

Rosanna: What?

Craig: Do you?

Rosanna: Yes, I'm sure I do. Why?

Craig: Margo, would you please give my congratulations to -- to my sister?

Margo: Where are you going?

Craig: I, uh -- just can't stay here.

Rosanna: I'm so sorry, Margo. I'm sorry.

Brad: She's not picking up her phone.

Henry: Uh, well, she -- she probably just turned it off and forgot to turn it back on again. I do that all the time. I'm sure she'll be here soon.

Brad: Really? You're sure? Then where is she?

Margo: There's still no word from Katie?

Brad: No. I want to know exactly where you left her and exactly what did she say.

Margo: All right. Just calm down, Brad.

Brad: No. Why the hell didn't you bring her back here like you said you would?

Katie: What now? Hello. Who are you?

Boy: You know.

Katie: My son. You're my little boy. Or at least you will be a few years from now. Let me look at you. You're so handsome. I can hardly wait to meet the baby version. That's why I got to get up to that window and get out of here. You want to show me how to do that?

Boy: You're the one who shows me how to do things. You're my mommy.

Katie: That's right. I'm gonna show you how to do a lot of fun things, like swim and climb a tree and ride a bike.

Boy: Won't I be scared?

Katie: Maybe at first. But I'll be there, and so you'll want to do it for me, just like I want to figure out how we can climb up to that window and get out of here for you. I just have to figure out how. You're such a smart boy.

Henry: Uh, I was hoping, uh -- I think I made a mistake.

Brad: What mistake?

Margo: Henry, what did you do?

Henry: Uh, instead of getting a baby gift, a got a gift certificate to the spa at the hotel. I thought she was gonna make a reservation and come right here, but I -- I think she just decided to go -- go to the spa there and then.

Brad: Why didn't you say that in the first place? I could just -- I just give a call over there right now.

Henry: No, no, no, no. Don't do that. You'll interrupt her -- her mud bath, her facial, whatever. She'll get all worried. I'll -- I'll go get her there myself. Come on.

Margo: W -- wait a minute. What if she's not there?

Henry: Where else would she be?

Margo: Why don't I go with you?

Henry: No, no, no, no, no, no. She'll be so disappointed if she found out that we had a big surprise party and she missed it. Let -- let me go.

Brad: Okay, okay, okay. Jack and Janet -- you know, they're late. They're not here anyway. So okay, why don't you go get Katie. You'll get back, and then they'll be here, and then we can still have the party.

Henry: That's what I'm talking about, all right?! So don't cut that cake until I'm back with the guest of honor.

Craig: We don't have to come all the way in here to end it. You could have just left me in the car, and I could drive away.

Rosanna: Is that what you think I want, really -- for this to be over?

Craig: Yes! After your conversation with Margo, yes. Unless you just need to deny us in public.

Rosanna: I apologized for that!

Craig: That's not good enough! Sorry, it's not. You're ashamed of this.

Rosanna: I just didn't want to make an issue out of it with Margo. I mean, she was so adamant about your bad-boy status.

Craig: And it never occurred to you to just stand up -- to just stand up for what we have?

Rosanna: Why does it matter so much what I didn't say to Margo?!

Craig: Because it matters to you! You have one conversation with my sister, and suddenly, you're looking at me differently. The -- the big question here is why is what Margo thinks so important to you?

Rosanna: I don't care about what Margo thinks. This is not about what Margo thinks. This is about -- about what I think. Wow, okay, you know what? You want honesty. Here you go. I'm gonna give you a little honesty. You know the nightmares I've been having. They're about you.

Craig: You told me you didn't remember them.

Rosanna: Oh, I remember them very well. Trust me. I'm in a car -- sound familiar? -- Driving along. And I look in the rearview mirror, and guess who I see in the -- in the car behind me? And I'm driving really fast, and then I pull over, and I -- I crash. I wake up, and I'm in a cold sweat.

Craig: That's grim.

Rosanna: Yeah. Yeah. [Sighs] So I think that it's quite possible that I might be a little afraid of you, Craig. You know, after Margo brought up the whole car accident again.

Craig: No, you're -- you're not afraid of me.

Rosanna: I am afraid of you.

Craig: You're not.

Rosanna: Yes, I am! Don't tell me what I am --

Craig: You're not afraid of me. You fight with me. You criticize me. You love slamming doors in my face. You're the one that took me to task when I tried to bribe Parker to keep quiet. You're not afraid of me.

Rosanna: Really? So why am I having these dreams again?

Craig: Because the -- the dreams aren't about the past! They're about what's happening now. We're taking a chance with each other, and it's terrifying.

Emily: Surely you can see that Liberty's better off with us than on her own. Hi.

Janet: Hey. What happened? I thought you were going to your new apartment.

Liberty: It's not happening. Parker didn't get the money.

Janet: Aw. I'm sorry, Sweetheart. But you know, it really is for the best. You're pregnant. You need to be with family.

Paul: Sometimes, it's nice to have a place that you can escape to, and that's what we're offering.

Emily: Right. So, I mean, why not just let Liberty come with us. We'll take her to our place, show her the pictures, and we'll bring her right home. Sound good, Lib?

Liberty: No. I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do right now.

Janet: I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to call your father.

[Liberty sighs]

[Cell phone rings]

Brad: Katie.

Janet: No, Bradley, it's -- it's me. It's Janet.

Brad: Hi, Janet, yeah. Um, why -- why aren't you guys at the party already?

Janet: Uh, well -- we're getting there. But I -- I really need to talk to you. Um, things are kind of weird over here. You know, Jack's -- Jack's not here yet, and -- and Paul and Emily came by, and they are laying into Liberty.

Brad: About what?

Janet: About taking her to California with them.

Brad: What? That's insane.

Janet: Yeah. That's what I said. But listen, I can't do this by myself. I really -- can you just take a few minutes and come over here and help me with this, please?

Brad: Well, the, uh -- the party hasn't even started yet. So yeah, yeah. I'll be right over.

Margo: Family emergency?

Brad: Yeah. Can you hold down the fort? I'll be right back.

Margo: Yeah, sure.

Brad: And -- and if Katie comes --

Margo: I'll yell, "Surprise!" No, I'll call you.

Henry: Where's Katie?

Ralph: I told you it had been taken care of, and it has been.

Henry: No, no. You -- you said that she would -- she would be home right after I left here. That was over an hour ago. Where is she?

Ralph: It's none of your business. And watch how you talk to me.

Henry: Wait a second. You don't even know where she is.

Ralph: There's been a small snafu.

Henry: Son of a bitch! You said she'd be all right!

Ralph: I told you. That's the last time you ever put your hands on me. What are you doing? Give me that check back!

Henry: No, no. You got to make sure Katie's safe, okay? You better make sure she's all right, Ralph.

Ralph: You're a dead man.

Henry: No, no, no. You better stop making threats and put all your energy into finding her. Because I swear to you, if she doesn't come home safe, I will take you out!

Katie: Okay. I know this looks kind of shaky, but it's not. I can do this.

Boy: I know.

Katie: I love you.

[Katie groans]

Katie: Hello?! Hello?! Can anybody hear me?! Please, I need help! Somebody, please! [Katie breathing heavily] [Necklace rattles] Oh, no! No, not my necklace! No!

[Katie sobs]

Rosanna: So, um, have you been having nightmares, too?

Craig: Yeah, waking nightmares, like today. Going public -- well, that's not for the faint of heart.

Rosanna: No, no. It's one thing to see each other in secret. It's another to, uh -- [Sighs] How do we know that this is gonna make it to next week?

Craig: We donít.

Rosanna: Thank you. [Chuckles] You know, I know that you would never try to hurt me.

Craig: When your car crashed and I saw you -- never again.

Rosanna: Okay. I can't forget.

Craig: I don't expect you to. I can promise you that if you can try to forgive me, I will spend every waking hour trying to make it right.

Emily: You know, if you could just see pictures of the house, you would understand why we're so excited about it.

Janet: We're waiting for Bradley.

Emily: It would just take two seconds. We'll drive her to the house, show her the pictures, and bring her right back. What's the big deal?

Liberty: Yeah. I'd love to see what they're talking about.

Paul: Perfect. Great. We'll have her back in a flash.

Liberty: Okay, um --

Paul: Come on.

Brad: Take your hands off her.

Paul: Take it easy.

Brad: Listen, you touch her again, I'm gonna knock you out. Do you understand me? I'm a what? I'm a what? Nobody touches my daughter! Do you understand me? Nobody.

Janet: No hitting. No hitting.

Liberty: Parker.

Parker: Hey. I'm glad you're still talking to me.

Liberty: You're the best friend I've got, possibly the only person in my life I could consider sane.

Parker: What's going on?

Liberty: I know I've been a pain. Do you think you could meet me? I need to get away.

Parker: Yeah. Um, I'm in Old Town. Why don't you, uh -- why don't you come here, and I'll wait for you?

Henry: Hello. Brad?

Margo: Uh, hi. He had to take care of something with Liberty. But, um, where's Katie? Wasn't she supposed to come back with you?

Henry: Yeah, she was. Uh, things got all messed up.

Margo: Henry -- where is my sister? Henry, what happened to Katie?

Henry: She's in real trouble.

Katie: [Sighs] Okay, the necklace doesn't matter. What matters is what it means. And that is you and me, baby, surviving this together, okay? [Screams and sobs] Okay. Nothing's broken. Oh, that's a good thing. Oh! Ow! Ow! Oh! No, no, no, no, no, no. No, baby. You can't come now. Oh! [Sobs]

On the next "As the World Turns" --

Jack: Where the heck are you, Parker?

Parker: Dad, we're in Chicago. Liberty's had an accident.

Henry: Brad, Brad, Brad, Brad, Brad --

Brad: No more double talk. Where is my wife?

Henry: That's what we're trying to find out, Brad.

Katie: Oh, my God! Oh, no! That's what it feels like to have your water break. No, definitely not a false alarm! Oh, my God! This baby wants to be born.
