Katie: Hello, hi.

Salesgirl: Hi. How may I help you?

Katie: I'm looking for someone -- Vienna Hyatt? She said she'd be here. Have you seen her?

Vienna: I'm right here.

Katie: Are you all right?

Vienna: Yes, of course I am. Why do you ask?

Katie: Your message, it sounded so urgent.

Vienna: It is urgent. I wanted to show you this.

Katie: What?

Vienna: This.

Katie: Your blouse?

Vienna: What do you think?

Katie: It's fine -- it's not your usual style.

Vienna: Why do you say that?

Katie: It doesn't really flatter your amazing figure.

Vienna: Well, not yet. But it will. Isn't it fabulous?

Katie: What do you mean, it will?

Vienna: See, it's a maternity blouse. The baby will fit right under here.

Katie: What baby?

Vienna: What baby? The baby I'm going to carry for you, as your surrogate. Being pregnant doesn't mean that you can't be fashionable.

Katie: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Vienna, aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself -- trying on maternity-wear when I haven't even agreed to anything yet?

Vienna: Yeah, but you will.

Katie: How do you know?

Vienna: Because there's nothing else you and Brad want more than a baby. And I'm the answer to your prayers.

Brad: I am so glad to see you.

Henry: Hey, when the big guy calls, I come a-running.

Brad: Henry, you are the best friend a guy could have, really.

Henry: Okay. What have you done now?

Brad: Nothing.

Henry: Nothing? Right, right. The call, the compliments -- I recognize a catastrophe when I see one. Now, is this a category one or a category five? What's the martini count on this?

Brad: No martinis necessary. I need your help in filling out this paperwork.

Henry: Oh, yes, Mr. Snyder.

Brad: Yeah.

Henry: You know, uh, being a secretary reminds me of a fantasy that Vienna and I have. She puts her hair up in a bun and it's -- the hope center.

Brad: Yeah.

Henry: The Clark family alliance.

Brad: Yeah, yeah. Katie and I are going to look into adoption, you know. So there's a lot of paperwork, and I just don't want to -- I don't want to mess it up.

Henry: Look, call me crazy Brad, but isn't this something you should be talking with, I don't know -- your wife about? The eventual mother of this child?

Brad: There is plenty of time to involve Katie.

Henry: When?

Brad: When she's ready.

Henry: She doesn't know yet, does she? Brad, Katie hates surprises. Especially those that last 18 years. Or more. Casey Hughes is 21 -- he still lives at home, when he's not in jail.

Brad: Okay, you know what? Seeing her cry in that hospital bed -- that killed me, man.

Henry: There's nothing deadlier than a woman's tears.

Brad: Look, I don't want her to give up on us raising a child together. So, I want to get all the -- you know, get the process moving, till all systems are go.

Henry: Are you sure this is what she wants?

Brad: Yes. You know, we can't make a baby together, this is the next best thing.

Katie: Vienna, I appreciate what you're doing, what you're offering to do -- but I haven't even talked to Brad about this yet.

Vienna: Why not? What are you waiting for?

Katie: I don't know. The right time, the right approach.

Vienna: Well, just tell him. "Brad, Vienna is going to have our baby for us."

Katie: I don't think I can just drop the idea of surrogacy on him like that.

Vienna: Katie, Brad loves you. He'll do anything to make you happy.

Katie: I know. I just -- I think this might be a little much to ask of him.

Vienna: Nonsense. He wants this baby as much as you do. And I am going to make that happen. There's absolutely no reason to wait!

Katie: Have you told Henry about this? Does he know that you offered to be our surrogate?

Vienna: I will. I will.

Katie: When?

Vienna: Well, you have your way of handling your man, and I have my way of handling my man.

Elwood: Hey. I want to know where you get off thinking that you can break into my dorm room.

Luke: Yeah? Well, I want to know where you get off thinking that you can keep selling drugs and denying it.

Elwood: You know, you talk a lot of trash, Snyder. Maybe I made a mistake when I didn't press charges against you.

Luke: Yeah, well the only reason you didn't is because you didn't want the cops going through your room, and finding something you didn't want them to see.

Elwood: Oh, and what was that? Your boyfriend hiding in the closet?

Luke: What does that even mean, Elwood? But anyway, I already found what I was looking for before you caught me.

Elwood: Oh. Oh, I'm sure you did.

Luke: Yeah. I did. And I gave it to the police. They know you're the one that sold Reg the drugs that killed him.

Elwood: Mm-hmm. Is that why they locked up Casey instead of me?

Luke: Elwood -- that was a cover. So that the real dealer would keep dealing again, thinking he was in the clear. And then they nab him.

Elwood: Well that's bull. You know why? 'Cause Casey's mom is the chief of detectives. So why would she lock up her own son if he wasn't guilty?

Luke: Elwood, I already told you. It is a cover. You're the one they're after.

Elwood: You're full of it. Excuse me.

Luke: They know who "M" is. Once they find him, you're next.

Elwood: Well, I don't know what you're talking about.

Luke: Did you see that? Did you see his face?

Noah: Why did you have to tell him all of that?

Luke: Because he's guilty, Noah. Now all we have to do is get him to make a confession that the police can use.

Alison: Hey. How you doing?

Casey: I'm fine. Are you okay?

Alison: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?

Casey: Well, you left here yesterday still convinced Matt was innocent.

Alison: I still believe that, the same way I still believe you.

Casey: If he does anything to hurt you while I'm in here --

Alison: Matt is not going to hurt me.

Casey: How can you say that? After all he's done.

Alison: Can we please not argue about this?

Casey: Are you going to stay away from him?

Alison: There's no reason to.

Casey: There's no reason to? Do you know what he was doing when he was in prison?

Alison: Yeah, he used drugs. Yeah, I know. I was there when your mom came to see him yesterday.

Casey: And you're okay with that?

Alison: Well -- I mean, I was upset that he didn't tell me about it himself. But he's not using anymore, Casey. He's clean now.

Casey: Oh, come on. You -- are you kidding me?

Alison: What? What? I'm clean now. What, does that not mean anything?

Casey: Well, you never killed anybody.

Alison: Neither did Matt. And he was not the one who gave Reg those pills.

Casey: He's got you completely snowed, and you don't even see it.

Alison: You know, the only person who is blind right now is you, Casey. You keep accusing Matt of doing all these things, but it's not because you actually think he's guilty. It's because of me.

Casey: No.

Alison: Because Matt likes me.

Casey: No, whatever.

Alison: You know, you can't get past your own stupid jealousy. And it's a horrible waste of time. Because it means whoever -- whoever did this is still out there.

Casey: Yeah, probably bartending at Yo's.

Alison: Don't you get it? If we keep letting our personal feelings get in the way of finding this guy, he could end up killing somebody else.

Casey: He's a con, Ali. That's what he does best. Remember what he did to my mom last year? He led Nevins straight to her -- to our own house.

Alison: Okay, that was a long time ago. Matt has changed a lot since then.

Casey: Has he? Or is that what he wants to you think?

Alison: No. I came to that conclusion on my own. Okay? He made a huge mistake, and he is really sorry.

Casey: A huge mistake that almost got you killed. Twice. Maybe the third time, you won't be so lucky.

Luke: I can't stop thinking about the look in Elwood's eyes when we told him that we knew who "M" was. He was totally freaked.

Noah: And what if he calls Matt, or whoever this "M" character is, and finds out that you lied?

Luke: Well, I didnít. Not really.

Noah: You told him that you gave the police information.

Luke: Yeah, well, I did. Through Casey. He told his mom that he thinks Matt is the "M" who left the note that I found in Elwood's room.

Noah: But nobody's proved that yet.

Luke: Yeah, but they will. And once they do, both Matt and Elwood are going to pay for what they did to Reg and case.

Noah: I still don't see why you had to tell Elwood anything.

Luke: Why, Noah? It's not like I'm scared of him. Or Matt, for that matter.

Noah: I know, and that's what scares me. I don't want anything to happen to you. I kind of love you, would like to keep you around.

Luke: Well, hey, hey, hey. I kind of love you too. And I'm going to be fine.

Noah: Promise?

Luke: Yeah. I promise.

Kevin: Hey.

Luke: Kevin, hey.

Kevin: I heard about Casey. Is he all right?

Luke: Yeah, well, he will be. Once they nail the people that actually did this.

Kevin: So Casey had nothing to do with it?

Luke: Oh, hell no. He's not a drug dealer, he didn't kill Reg.

Kevin: Well, then who did?

Luke: Elwood.

Noah: Luke.

Luke: What? I'm not afraid to say it.

Kevin: Well, you said guys. So it's not just Elwood?

Luke: No. He's working for Matt OíConnor.

Kevin: The guy who's bartending at Yo's?

Luke: That's the one.

Kevin: Well, I don't understand. If that's the case, then why is, uh, Casey still locked up?

Noah: Because the police haven't proved anything yet.

Luke: Yeah, but they will, once we get Elwood to turn on Matt.

Noah: I really wish you'd stop talking like that.

[Cell phone ringing]

Luke: I don't know this number. Hello?

Elwood: You were right.

Luke: Elwood?

Elwood: Yeah. Look, I do know something about why this is happening to Casey.

Luke: You do? Why?

Elwood: I don't know if I should be saying this.

Luke: No, Elwood, if you know something, you have to come forward.

Elwood: But I already got in trouble with the police. And I cannot go back to prison.

Luke: Look, if you don't want to go the police, let me help.

Noah: Luke, no.

Luke: If you don't want to talk to the police, tell me what you know. And I will tell them for you.

Elwood: But they'll ask you where you got your information.

Luke: But Elwood, that's good. Because if they know it came from you, they might be willing to cut you a deal or something.

Elwood: Really?

Luke: Yeah. Yeah, they do it all the time.

Elwood: All right, do you know the bridge on Mill Road?

Luke: Yeah, it goes out to Lutherís Corners.

Elwood: Meet me there. I'll tell you everything.

Luke: We got him.

Katie: Hey --

Brad: Hey!

Katie: Henry, I didn't know you were going to be here.

Henry: Well, I just thought I'd drop in, spend some time with my buddy Brad - - a little male bonding.

Brad: Yeah, he just came over to -- to watch the game.

Katie: I thought you had a psychological aversion to sports.

Henry: Poker game.

Katie: On TV?

Henry: Yep, yep. National championships. And it is too a sport. It's a brutal test of mental skill and precise hand-eye coordination.

Katie: Oh. Why don't you use some of that hand-eye coordination, and turn on the TV?

Henry: No. Now that you're here, I think I'll be on my way.

Katie: Well, I don't -- I don't want to rush you out.

Henry: Oh, you're not, you're not. I've realized that male bonding is best in small doses. Brad.

Brad: Henry.

Henry: Bubbles.

Katie: Henry. Is he all right?

Brad: Hard to tell. How are you?

Katie: I'm better, now that I'm with you. And I'm glad Henry left, because there's something I want to talk to you about.

Brad: What's up?

Katie: Sit down.

Brad: Okay.

Katie: Okay. Do you remember what you said to me at the hospital, after the doctor that told me that I couldn't get pregnant?

Brad: I said that I love you more than anything. No matter what, always will.

Katie: Right.

Brad: Right.

Katie: But, you said something else, too. That there are other ways that we could have a family, when I'm ready.

Brad: Yeah, I remember that.

Katie: So, I just was thinking, that since we can't have our family the old- fashioned way, maybe we should start thinking about some of those other options.

Brad: Are you saying --

Katie: I'm ready.

Noah: What exactly did Elwood say?

Luke: He said he thinks he knows why this is happening to Casey, but he's afraid to go to the cops. So I told him that he could give me the information, and I would go for him.

Noah: Don't do this, Luke. Please, just tell the cops now, let them handle this. Please?

Luke: Yeah, but Elwood is expecting me, not them.

Noah: So? What, do you owe Elwood something?

Luke: No, but I owe Casey. I got him kicked out of school!

Noah: Okay, he got into that fight with Mark Vero on his own.

Luke: Yeah, but he stuffed the ballot box for me, so that I'd win the election.

Noah: Do you don't think that this is strange? Elwood was just here. If he had something to tell you, wouldn't he tell you then?

Luke: Well, I don't know. Maybe. Maybe there were too many people around. Look, Elwood has to know that this is going to end badly. The only way he can save himself is to give up the information.

Noah: I just -- I don't know. I don't know.

Luke: Look, if the police show up, Elwood's going to run. And then Casey's going to be in jail forever.

Noah: What are you doing?

Luke: I'm calling Alison.

Noah: You're impossible.

Luke: Alison, hey, it's Luke.

Alison: Hey. What's up?

Luke: You're not going to believe this. Elwood called me.

Alison: Elwood? Why?

Casey: What's going on?

Luke: He says he knows why this is happening to Casey. This might be the big break we're looking for. He wants to meet me him on the bridge on Mill Road.

Alison: Well, are you going?

Luke: Yeah, yeah. I just wanted to tell you first. You can tell Casey, but don't tell anybody else.

Alison: Okay. Just be careful.

Luke: I will.

Alison: Luke says Elwood wants to meet with him. This could be it.

Casey: Elwood's ready to give up Matt?

Alison: Or somebody.

Casey: Well, I guess we're about to find out which one of us is right.

[Cell phone ringing]

Alison: Hey.

Matt: Hi. What are you doing?

Alison: I was just headed to Al's. We're still on for lunch, right?

Matt: We are. I'm just running late. I should be leaving work soon.

Alison: Well, I suppose I could wait.

Matt: You'd do that for me?

Alison: Well, it's free food. I mean, you said you were paying, right?

Matt: I did.

Alison: Good. You know, I might even have some good news for you, too.

Matt: Good news? Do I get a hint?

Alison: Sorry. I promised Luke I wouldn't say anything.

Matt: It's me. Who am I going to tell?

Alison: True. Okay. Well, Luke is on his way to meet with Elwood.

Matt: Elwood? Why?

Alison: He said Elwood's ready to come clean about everything. And he told Luke to meet him at the bridge out on Mill Road. Matt, if Luke's right about this, this could be exactly what we need to clear both you and Casey.

Matt: You're right. This is good news.

Alison: I know. And I was thinking, you know, once this is all over, maybe you and Casey could try to work on being friends again.

Matt: I'd like that. Listen, uh, I should go. I'll see you soon, okay?

Noah: So you are really going to go meet Elwood, huh?

Luke: I have to, Noah.

Noah: Well, you're not going alone.

Luke: You're coming with me?

Noah: I don't have a choice.

Luke: Well, I don't get it. Every other time I've tracked down a lead, you stayed away.

Noah: Yeah, exactly. And every other time, something's gone wrong. And I'm not going to take that chance again. I love you, Luke. And I'm not going to let you get hurt.

Luke: Well, I love you, too. But I'm not going to get hurt. I'm meeting him in a public place.

Noah: I don't care. Someone's going to keep an eye on you. Let's go.

Luke: Noah -- I'm glad that that someone is you.

Katie: The only thing I can think about is having a baby with you. Do you think there's something wrong with me?

Brad: I love you. I mean, don't you think I know how much you've been going through?

Katie: Yeah, but you've been going through it too.

Brad: Yeah, but not like you have. I mean, you wanted to have a baby so much that you started taking fertility drugs behind my back.

Katie: And destroyed any chance of ever being pregnant with your baby.

Brad: Look, I don't see it like that. However we -- however we get our child, it's going to be 100% ours. You don't have to give birth to a kid to be able to love it.

Katie: I hope you're not just saying that because you think it's what I need to hear.

Brad: No, no. I want this for both of us. You know, I would've brought it up before, but you were under so much pressure, I didn't want to add to it.

Katie: How?

Brad: By being me. Saying something wrong, stupid, you know? I tend to do that.

Katie: Never.

Brad: Never. You were just -- you were just so devastated after you found out you couldn't get pregnant. I just thought talking about other options would have seemed insensitive.

Katie: Yeah, I know. I know, but actually, those other options are what give me hope.

Brad: Me too. I mean, that's why I got the process rolling for us.

Katie: You did?

Brad: Yeah, yeah. I mean --

Katie: Did Vienna come to talk to -- did she talk to you without telling me?

Brad: What? Why would I talk to Vienna?

Katie: Um, because we can't do this without her.

Brad: Well, I mean, Henry just came over to help me fill out the paperwork. See? Look, right here.

Katie: You guys started without us?

Brad: I mean, yeah. It's -- yeah. For sure, I mean it's kind of -- you know, its cut and dried. But, you know, I mean -- no offense, but I don't see how Vienna can be of much help.

Katie: Honey, we can't cut her out at this point. Her input is crucial.

Brad: I think that's overstating a little bit.

Katie: Uh, I donít. Why would you involve Henry, and not Vienna?

Brad: Because it's just some paperwork. You know, I mean hey, if it means that much to you, she can come with us to mail it.

Katie: Mail it where?

Brad: To the adoption agency.

Katie: Oh. You thought I wanted to adopt?

Brad: I mean, that's what we're talking about, isn't it?

Katie: No. Brad, Vienna offered to be our surrogate.

Brad: Our what? You mean, where your eggs and my boys are --

Katie: Are implanted into Vienna.

Brad: Whoa, I need to sit down.

Katie: You are sitting down. Brad?

Brad: You mean Vienna -- Vienna wants to have our baby for us?

Katie: Yes. Yes, and I think we should let her.

Vienna: I think you should know, I've decided to help Brad and Katie have a baby.

Henry: You're preaching to the choir, Sweetheart. I've decided to help them, too.

Vienna: You have?

Henry: Yeah. Today, in fact.

Vienna: Well, that's wonderful, Henry.

Henry: With all the money they have, I figured maybe we should charge for our services.

Vienna: No, we are not doing this for money!

Henry: I'm just kidding with you! Whatever they want, we'll give them.

Vienna: I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear you --

Henry: Relieved? What, am I missing something here? Am I that much of an ogre?

Vienna: No. But I am going to be pregnant for nine months. I thought you might have a problem with that.

Henry: Ah, Vienna, light of my life, my sweet -- I totally support Brad and Katie having a baby, but not us. It's a big difference.

Vienna: I'm talking about Brad and Katie. I'm going to be pregnant for them.

Henry: Come again?

Vienna: I'm going to carry their baby.

Henry: In your arms?

Vienna: No, silly. I'm going to be their surrogate. We're going to take Katie's egg and Brad's sperm and implant it in my --

Henry: No, no, no! Stop, stop, stop! Stop talking!

Vienna: What's wrong?

Henry: What's wrong, with these things, these things that you're saying? That's what's wrong.

Vienna: Henry!

Henry: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! You're talking about taking your beautiful, gorgeous body and --

Vienna: And put Brad and Katie's baby inside of me. Yes.

Luke: He's supposed to be here by now.

Noah: You think he changed his mind?

Luke: I hope not. He's the best chance we have of clearing Casey. And in the process, we'll get whoever killed Reg.

Noah: And I want that too. I'm just not sold that this is the best way to get justice.

Luke: Well, we're here now. No turning back.

Noah: I just wish you didn't put yourself on the line like this.

Luke: Well, it's a good thing I brought my lucky charm.

Noah: Luke --

Luke: Finally.

[A SUV aims for Elwood. Elwood falls in the water]

Noah: Luke, look out!

Luke: Elwood, no! Elwood!

Luke: Elwood!

Noah: Elwood! You got him?

Luke: Yeah, yeah. Oh, he's so cold.

Noah: Well, he hit his head. Check for a pulse. Is there a pulse?

Luke: No. No, no, no. Call 9-1-1. This can't be happening, not again.

Noah: Yes, hello. Somebody fell off the bridge at Mill Road. No, no, he's unconscious, and we can't feel a pulse. Well, all right, hurry!

Alison: Mark Vero.

Mark: Hi. You don't have to be afraid of me. Although, I understand why you might be.

Alison: No, I just -- I just haven't seen you since --

Mark: Since that day at the hospital. After they took me inside, I was committed to the psych ward.

Alison: Oh -- well, how are you doing?

Mark: Good. Uh, getting there, at least. It's been a tough couple of months. But, been a lot of therapy just to work things out.

Alison: Yeah, I'd imagine.

Mark: But, um, I'm in the program now, and its working. You know, if, uh, you and Casey hadn't have been up there on the roof that day --

Alison: I was just doing my job. You don't have to thank me.

Mark: No, no, I do. What I did to you was sick, I was sick, and you still helped me. Look, I'm supposed to make amends with all the people in my life that I've hurt. And, uh -- the list is kind of long, so --

Alison: Yeah, they usually are.

Mark: I know how much I hurt you, and I'm really sorry.

Alison: Apology accepted.

Mark: Thanks.

Kevin: Hey.

Mark: Hey.

Kevin: Hi.

Alison: Hey.

Kevin: It's good to see you. Um, Mark, I got the -- that schedule thing you wanted to look at.

Mark: Yeah, yeah, I'll grab us a table.

Kevin: Look, I know you probably don't want to talk to me, but I feel like there's something I should say to you.

Alison: What could you possibly have to say to me?

Kevin: It's about what happened to you during the campaign.

Alison: Kevin, I don't want to talk about that.

Kevin: I know, I know. But, when it happened, I should've -- said I was sorry. And I should've asked how you were, but I never did that.

Alison: No, you didnít.

Kevin: So, I'm, you know, sorry. For a lot of things. Anyways, um, you know, take care of yourself.

Brad: Am I crazy to feel weird about someone else carrying our child?

Katie: No, no, you're not. But it's not just someone else, it's Vienna, our friend. She cares about us.

Brad: And she would just give up the baby to us, right after it's born?

Katie: Yes. She would have no claim to the baby after the pregnancy -- she knows that.

Brad: Except that she would feel like the kid's mom for nine whole months.

Katie: Surrogacy is done all the time.

Brad: Okay, what about adoption? Come on, that's done all the time. I mean, I'm almost done with the paperwork, and maybe we should at least seriously consider it before writing the whole thing off.

Katie: No, I'm not writing anything off.

Brad: So this isn't the way you want to go, is it?

Katie: It's not that I don't want to go there. I would just really, really like to try the surrogacy thing first.

Brad: That just seems so messy.

Katie: But, Brad, if we go this way, we get to have our baby -- like we always dreamed. I want to see you in my baby's eyes. Is that so wrong?

Brad: What if Vienna changes her mind?

Katie: She wonít. She is so excited about doing this for us. And we'll just be really responsible with all of the legal stuff. We will get contracts made up, so we're going to be covered.

Brad: Okay, don't get me wrong, I love Vienna. I love the fact that she wants to help us. But you do realize, you do get that this is not like asking to borrow her favorite pair of shoes, right?

Katie: Well, yeah, it kind of is. I'm kidding. Brad, it's a joke.

Brad: I'm not really at the joke phase yet, Katie.

Katie: Listen to me, this may be the only chance that I get to have your baby. I want this so bad. Please, don't say no.

Vienna: But don't you see? This is the answer to all our problems.

Henry: We don't have any problems.

Vienna: Of course we have problems! I want to have a baby, and you donít.

Henry: That's a problem?

Vienna: Yes, and so this can be the solution to our problem. I get to experience the joy and wonder of being pregnant, and you don't have to raise a baby after it's born.

Henry: But think, think, Vienna about all the changes that your body will go through.

Vienna: Yeah, but it's going to be amazing.

Henry: No, it's going to be round, Vienna. Round, and bumpy.

Vienna: You just wait until you see what it'll do to my breasts!

Henry: No, no, no! Don't change those! Not for anything or anyone. They're works of art!

Vienna: Yeah, and it'll be bigger works of art! Just the idea of being pregnant. I mean, I feel this rush of hormones going through my body.

Henry: Then fight it. Fight it. Think about something else. Think about -- think about baseball.

Vienna: Well, you want to go to third base?

Henry: Forget about baseball. Think about -- think about fashion.

Vienna: Like what? Like the red, the new red cocktail dress with the plunging neckline that'll go all the way down --

Henry: That you won't -- that you will not be able to wear. Because you'll be too concave, all of your clothes will go to waste.

Vienna: Well, when I'm pregnant, I don't want to be wearing any clothes. I'll want to be naked all the time.

Henry: Don't -- stop that! That's not fair.

Vienna: Well, Henry, don't you see? Don't you see just -- just the thought of being pregnant -- what it does to me? Why do you -- why do want to deny me the truest, deepest, passion?

Kevin: So, I walk in, and I see you talking with Alison Stewart? You think that was smart?

Mark: Yeah, I was making amends. This program's real big on that.

Kevin: Did she accept your apology?

Mark: Yep.

Kevin: Great. Now you can leave her alone.

Mark: Well, I wasn't bothering her.

Kevin: She was just being polite, Mark. Seriously. Let it go.

Mark: Well, her concern seemed pretty genuine to me. Hey, man, she's not seeing anybody, is she?

Kevin: Is she seeing anybody? Is that what I just heard? What is wrong with you, Mark? What you did, you almost raped her. What, you think a few amends is just going to wipe that slate clean?

Mark: Kev, come on. I'm a changed man.

Matt: Alison -- I'm sorry I'm late.

Alison: Oh my God, are you all right?

Matt: You're never going to believe this. Somebody stole my car.

Margo: You guys okay?

Luke: Yeah, yeah, we're fine.

Noah: We're just a little shocked.

Margo: I'm really sorry about Elwood. But, I don't want to be pushy, you tell me what happened?

Luke: Um, Elwood called me. He wanted to talk to me.

Margo: About what?

[Luke sighs]

Margo: Luke?

Luke: He said he had some information on what happened the police?

Luke: Because Elwood didn't want to go to the police because he had already been in trouble. So, I told him that if he talked to me, I would go to the police for him. He told me he wanted to meet me here.

Margo: So, it was Elwood's idea to meet here at the bridge?

Luke: Yeah, and the car -- it just -- it came out of nowhere.

Margo: All right, all right, just tell me what happened next?

Noah: At first, it just looked like the car was just out of control.

Margo: What -- at first?

Noah: Well, the driver, whoever he was -- was definitely aiming for Elwood. I mean, there's no doubt about it.

Margo: Okay, can you describe the car?

Noah: Yeah. It was a gray SUV.

Margo: This is Hughes. I need an APB out on a gray SUV. I was last seen on the bridge on mill road. It was heading south towards Lutherís Corners.

Luke: Um, can we go? Our car's parked, it's right over there

Margo: No. Don't you understand what just happened? If this wasn't a accident, if this on purpose, that means that Elwood was murdered. And you two are my only witnesses.

Margo: So, did either of you see who was driving the car?

Noah: I think it was a man.

Margo: A man? And he was intentionally aiming for Elwood?

Luke: Yeah, he didn't even slow down.

Margo: Did you get a chance to see the license plate?

Luke: No. Did you?

Noah: I looked, I just -- I don't think can remember anything. Um --

Margo: All right um -- just close your eyes, and relax, and think back to the moment that the car passing. Take your time. Are you seeing the license plate? Is anything coming into focus?

Noah: I think I can remember the last numbers -- 9-8 -- 9-8-4, 9-8-4.

Margo: 9-8-4, great, I'll take that to DMV and see if they can match it to their records.

Casey: Mom, what's going on? Did something happen with the case?

Margo: Luke and Noah are in there. I think you should go and talk to them.

Casey: Is it good news?

Margo: No, Baby, it's not.

Casey: I thought you were meeting Elwood. What happened?

Luke: Casey, I don't know how to tell you this.

Casey: What? Did he not show up? Luke? What, come on.

Luke: Elwood's dead.

Casey: What?

Noah: There was an accident on the bridge.

Casey: I'm sorry -- an accident?

Luke: No, no, it wasn't an accident. Somebody killed Elwood -- on purpose.

Brad: You're going to be comfortable with this? Being around Vienna, knowing she's carrying our child?

Katie: For the past few months, the only thing I've dreamed about is conceiving our baby, giving birth to our baby, and raising our baby with you. This way I get two of the three things that I've always dreamed about. And that's more than enough for me.

Brad: I love you. I just want you to be happy.

Katie: I know. And you do. You make me more happy than I ever thought I could be. So, is that a yes?

Brad: Yes. Yes, it's a "Yes".

Katie: Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Brad: Just because I agreed to it, doesn't mean Henry will.

[Doorbell rings]

Vienna: Hello, Mama.

Casey: I had my problems with Elwood, but I never wanted him dead.

Luke: This isn't your fault, Casey.

Casey: He was gonna come forward and clear me.

Noah: Yeah, well, somebody didn't want him to talk.

Luke: Yeah, but I did. If anyone's to blame here, it's me.

Noah: Luke, no.

Luke: Why didn't I just get Elwood to tell me the information he had on the phone?

Casey: Maybe it's good you didnít. Otherwise, you might be a target yourself.

Luke: Yeah, but instead I put him in the line of fire.

Noah: No! Don't you guys get it?

Luke: Get what?

Noah: What happened to Reg -- that was an accident. But this wasnít. You want to know who killed Elwood? It was the guy driving the car.

Alison: Someone stole your car? When?

Matt: I was at work. I was finishing up, I went out in the parking lot, and it was just gone.

Alison: Well, did you call the police?

Matt: I'm an ex-con. And my missing car -- isn't exactly going to be high on their list of priorities.

Alison: So? You're the victim here. It's not your fault.

Matt: By now, it's probably stripped for parts and left on the side of the road somewhere.

Alison: You still have to report it.

Matt: It's not gonna do any good.

Alison: Well, it would make me feel a lot better. And they still could find it.

Matt: You're cute when you're optimistic.

Alison: Flattery is not going to distract me.

Matt: Damn.

Alison: So come on.

Matt: Where are we going?

Alison: The police station. When are you going to realize that I'm impossible to say no to?

Matt: Um, right about now?

Alison: Mm-hmm.

Alison: Hi, my friend's car was stolen.

Matt: Ali, they're never gonna find it.

Alison: Don't take his crankiness personally. Like I said, his car was just stolen.

Cop #3: We can file a report, see what we turn up.

Alison: Okay, sounds good. Thank you. Can you actually get started without me? I'll be right back.

Matt: Sure, yeah.

Alison: Hey, did you talk to Elwood? Did he clear Casey and Matt?

Luke: No.

Alison: Why not? What did he say? What?

Casey: Ali -- Elwood's dead.

Alison: No. What -- what happened?

Luke: Well, I went to go meet him at the bridge, like we planned, but --

Alison: But what? But he didn't show up?

Noah: He did. But -- there was this car -- I don't know, it just came out of nowhere.

Alison: Oh my God.

Luke: Ali -- you have to know, this wasn't an accident.

Margo: Whoa, we should get some more chairs in here.

Alison: Oh, no, I'll go wait outside.

Margo: No, no, no. No, you should stay. You should hear this. We just got a return on the license plate that Noah saw. The car that hit Elwood is registered to Matt OíConnor.

Alison: What?

Casey: I knew it! I knew it!

Alison: No! Matt didn't do this. His car was stolen!

Casey: Oh, come on. Ali -- stop!

Alison: Okay, that's why we're here right now. He's filing a report with a cop right now, okay? Matt! Matt? Where is he?

Vienna: I'm so happy we got to tell you in person.

Katie: I can't believe we're actually doing this.

Vienna: We're having a baby.

Katie: Vienna, I can't even begin to thank you for doing this.

Vienna: Well, right now, all you have to do is get some rest. And we'll talk everything out tomorrow. Okay?

Katie: Okay.

Vienna: Okay. Henry, are you ready to go?

Henry: I have a choice?

Brad: Hey, what's with the teary eyes?

Katie: It's happening. It's really happening now, I can feel it.

Brad: I know, I can feel it too.

Katie: Oh, Brad. Ever since I was a little girl I've dreamed about being a mom. Now because of you, my dreams are going to come true.

Alison: And then Matt showed up and told me that his car had been stolen from the parking lot, and I convinced him to come here and report it.

Casey: Wait, you had to convince him? It sounds like, to me, I'm not sure he wanted his car to be found.

Alison: Matt didn't kill Elwood.

Casey: It was his car, Alison! And Noah said he saw a guy behind the wheel. Who else could it have been?

Noah: Wait. But how did Matt even know that Elwood was meeting Luke at the bridge?

Casey: You told him about it, didn't you?

Luke: Ali, come on, you promised you wouldnít.

Margo: Oh, man, did everybody know about this except me?

Alison: Okay, I'm sorry! Casey --

Casey: Mom, we can not let him get away with this.

Margo: I am going to put out an APB for Matt, relax.

Luke: Do you need us to stay?

Margo: No, no, you can go. But be prepared to come back. There will be more questions before this is over.

Luke: Of course. Case, we'll, um -- we'll see you around, okay?

Casey: Yeah.

Noah: Hang in there.

Margo: No, no. No, no, you stay. I have more questions about Matt.

Alison: Okay. Whatever you need.

Casey: Listen, Ali --

Alison: Don't -- say anything. Please.

Casey: This is why I was trying to warn you. I didn't want you to get hurt.

Alison: I know, Casey. Okay? You were right. Is that what you want to hear? You were right about Matt, and I was wrong.

On the next "As the World Turns"

Carly: You can't stand the thought that Johnny might like some other man more than he likes you.

Meg: Hey, hey what are you doing?

Paul: It's only a matter of time before I win her back.
