Matt: Boo!

Alison: Matt.

Matt: Hey.

Alison: What -- what are you doing here?

Matt: And hello to you, too.

Alison: Hi. No, I just meant, I thought you said you were taking off. That you were going to go look for another town to settle down in.

Matt: I had a little change in plans.

Alison: Brought about by --

Matt: No, don't worry, you weren't a factor in my decision.

Alison: Good to know.

Matt: You disappointed?

Alison: Hardly.

Matt: I just figured, I didn't really have anybody waiting for me, so why not stay where at least I know a few people?

Alison: So I suppose this means I have to hang out with you now?

Matt: Yeah, I'm sorry. That's a bummer for you.

Alison: Totally.

Matt: Any chance you could start tonight?

Alison: Tonight? You're not asking me out on a date, are you?

Matt: No, hardly. I just got a job bartending at Yo's. Surprisingly, the one place where my criminal record was not a drawback.

Alison: Got to love that. And you're asking me to be, what, your bar wench?

Matt: The position comes with all the ginger ale you can drink, so --

Alison: So, how can a girl say no? Let me go check out.

Matt: Great. Case!

Casey: Matt!

Matt: Hey.

Casey: What's up?

Matt: Are you out of here any time soon?

Casey: I've got 30 minutes of just looking busy left. Why? What's up?

Matt: You're looking at your new best friend. I just got a job at Yo's.

Casey: Bartending? Yes, sweet.

Matt: I'm covering the early shift tonight. You got to come by.

Casey: Are you kidding me? I'm there.

Matt: Yes.

Alison: Ready to go?

Matt: You bet. See you in a little bit?

Casey: I just remembered, I'm not going to be able to make it tonight. Sorry.

Noah: Yeah? Great, Brian. Thanks. I really appreciate it.

Luke: Brian?

Noah: Lewis, not Brian Wheatley. He agreed to trade shifts with me in case you were planning something for Valentine’s Day.

Luke: Oh. Oh, I'm in charge of Valentine’s Day?

Noah: You are now.

Jade: Oh, you guys make me ill.

Luke: And you're just jealous.

Jade: Oh, yeah, that's it. Can you get me a latte before I go into sugar shock?

Noah: What are you guys up to?

Luke: We are party planning.

Noah: Oh, yeah? What's the occasion?

Luke: Casey's 21st birthday.

Noah: That's today?

Luke: No, no, technically, it's Valentine’s Day. But we thought it'd be a good idea to throw him a surprise party.

Noah: When?

Luke: How's tonight for you?

Noah: Works fine for me, but is Casey available?

Luke: It's a party. Casey will make himself available.

Noah: You know, you should invite Alison, too.

Jade: Why?

Luke: It'll give them a chance to spend some time together.

Jade: Don't they do enough of that at work?

Noah: But if they could work just a few things out -- I don't know, I think it's worth a shot.

Jade: It's not going to happen.

Luke: How do you know?

Jade: Because I talked to Casey, and he made it very clear that he's over her.

Luke: Well, whatever. I still think it's worth a shot.

Jade: Fine. All right, you guys plan the party, and I'll make sure Casey gets there.

Luke: Cool.

Brad: It's so good you guys could be here.

Vienna: Well, so are we. It's good to be here with friends.

Henry: Yes. Out for drinks. At the club where I work.

Katie: Hey, come on, we're putting money back in your pocket, you should be grateful.

Vienna: Don't worry, he is.

Henry: She's the one that's grateful because my money is tied to her purse.

Brad: Enough. I say it's time to get this night started right. My wife, champagne?

Vienna: Yes.

Katie: Absolutely!

Vienna: You are being so brave. It's so inspiring.

Henry: Vienna, Honey.

Vienna: What? Katie's my friend. I just want to be supportive.

Katie: Um, hi. Why do you have to be supportive of me? I'm fine.

Vienna: Yes, you are fine.

Katie: Am I missing something?

Brad: No.

Henry: No, no, the only thing you're missing, my dear, is a drink.

Vienna: No, Henry told me that Brad told him that you two were trying for a baby, and you had to stop.

Brad: Thank you, Henry.

Henry: What did I do?

Brad: I didn't want Katie to have to think about any of that stuff tonight.

Katie: Its fine, you guys. Really. It's the reality of the situation. I'm not gonna hide from it.

Brad: Do you know how proud I am of you?

Katie: Why?

Brad: Because your attitude is just so positive. The old you wouldn't have handled this the way you're handling it now.

Katie: You didn't even know the old me.

Vienna: Well, I did. And the old you wouldn't have handled this at all.

Henry: Can we get off of Katie's ovaries? So to speak.

Katie: You guys, we can talk about it. It's fine. It is no big deal.

Vienna: No big deal? Now, that I find hard to believe.

Jade: Hey, there, Mr. Janitor. What are you up to?

Casey: Clocking the hell out of here.

Jade: Perfect. So you're free.

Casey: To do what?

Jade: Hang out with me, duh.

Casey: I'm sorry, just not tonight.

Jade: Why?

Casey: I'm just not in the mood.

Jade: When have you not been in the mood to have a few drinks at Yo's?

Casey: I just want to stay home, Jade.

Jade: With your parents?

Casey: No, they're away. It's just going to be me, the couch, pizza delivered in 30 minutes or less. Hopefully by an attractive delivery girl.

Jade: You're so lame.

Casey: I'm sorry.

Jade: Give me one good reason why you won't hang out with me.

Casey: I can give you two. Matt's bartending, and Alison's already claimed her bar stool for the night.

Jade: Oh, so that's why you're blowing me off. Wow, I never knew you were that kind of guy.

Katie: I'm not denying how I feel. I have just decided to stop obsessing over things that I cannot control.

Henry: That's very healthy.

Brad: I agree.

Henry: So you could learn a thing or two from this one.

Vienna: Darling, I'm only obsessing about my love for you.

Henry: Aww --

Brad: Okay, okay, break it -- break it up. My wife, she needs champagne.

Henry: Your who? Your who? Your whazzit? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Vienna: I know just the bottle. Because I called ahead and had them put it on ice. Could you be a dear and go get it?

Henry: For you, Liebchen, the world.

Vienna: And we need glasses. Can you go get some from behind the bar?

Brad: Don't you have a staff for that?

Vienna: Four glasses. Please? Please? Spill it.

Katie: Spill what?

Vienna: No, I know you, Katie. You're like a sister to me. And I were you, and I had just been told that I couldn't have a baby, I would not be sitting there with that cheerful little smile on my face. I would be devastated. Why aren't you devastated?

Katie: Maybe I just choose to not believe everything I'm told.

Vienna: What do you mean? Are you still trying to get pregnant? Katie?

Katie: Okay, yes, I'm still trying to get pregnant.

Vienna: So how come Brad is acting like you're not?

Katie: Because he doesn't know. He thinks I'm still using my diaphragm, and I'm not. I threw it away.

Vienna: Ohh! Oh, my God.

Katie: I know, Vienna, and you cannot tell him.

Vienna: How do you expect to keep Brad from finding out about this?

Katie: He doesn't need to know I've stopped using birth control.

Vienna: What if you get pregnant?

Katie: That would be fine. These things happen all the time. No method is 100% effective.

Vienna: You don't think he'll get angry?

Katie: No. He'll be so excited that I'm pregnant, he won't stop to question why.

Henry: Okay. Why did you two just stop talking when we showed up?

Brad: Yeah, what was that about?

Katie: Nothing.

Henry: Don't give me that, Peretti-Snyder. I have senses, and they are tingling.

Katie: Oh, you're being paranoid, Henry.

Vienna: We were just having a girls' talk.

Brad: Oh, yeah? What kind of girl talk?

Katie: We were just talking about how lucky you two are to have us.

Brad: Couldn't agree with you more.

Jade: I can't believe you're letting Alison get to you like this.

Casey: She is not getting to me.

Jade: You're certainly acting like she is.

Casey: Okay, you are officially keeping me from my couch.

Jade: She's gonna be at Yo's, who cares?

Casey: Maybe I don't want to see her.

Jade: Then don't look at her. It's a bar. She's certainly not gonna be the only person there. Look, if she can go out and have fun, why can't you?

Casey: Because I don't want to go.

Jade: Look, if you're worried about it being awkward, you shouldn’t. I mean, she should feel like that.

Casey: Why?

Jade: Because what she's doing is so not cool. Hanging out with Matt? You don't ditch a guy for his best friend.

Casey: She didn't ditch me. I told her she could do whatever she wanted to.

Jade: Then, why can't you?

Casey: Well, yeah, I guess you're right.

Jade: I know. So does this mean you'll come?

Casey: Yeah, what the hell? My couch will be there tomorrow. Perfectly positioned to nurse my hangover.

Jade: See?

Casey: Okay, let me go wash up. You stay here.

Jade: All right, I won't go anywhere without you.

Luke: Hey!

Reg: Hey, guys, glad you could make it. So I've got a card for Casey for both of you to sign.

Noah: Nice.

Luke: Cool.

Reg: And I got a couple of little gag gifts, as well.

[Cell phone ringing]

Luke: It's Jade. Hey. Did you talk to Casey? Is he coming?

Jade: Yes, I did, and yes, he is.

Luke: Excellent.

Jade: Are you guys at Yo's already?

Luke: Yeah. Just shoot me a text when you pull into the parking lot.

Jade: Sounds good.

Luke: Hey.

Matt: Hey.

Luke: Hi, Alison.

Alison: Luke.

Luke: I'd like to open a tab.

Alison: A tab? You're not drinking, are you?

Luke: No. It's Casey's 21st birthday.

Alison: Casey's coming here?

Luke: Yeah. Yeah, he's on his way.

Matt: Don't worry about this. I'll hook you guys up.

Luke: Thanks so much, man.

Alison: Maybe I should go.

Matt: What?

Luke: Oh, come on. You've gotta stay and wish Casey a happy birthday.

Alison: Yeah, I don't think that's such a good idea.

Luke: Why?

Alison: You know why.

Luke: Look, even if you're dating or whatever, you're still friends.

Alison: It depends on the day, sometimes even the hour.

Luke: Alison, just stay and wish Casey a happy birthday. You know he'd do it for you.

Alison: I don't know. I think I'm the last person Casey wants to wish him anything.

Matt: I think Casey'll be more bummed out if he found out you left because of him.

Luke: Matt's right. And you know that I will totally rat you out.

Alison: Thanks. Fine, I'll stay. I'll stay, but I'm going to need another ginger ale. And keep 'em comin'.

Henry: More bubbles for Bubbles.

Katie: And Bubbles thanks you.

Brad: A toast, so please lift your glasses. To my beautiful, amazing wife.

Katie: Aww.

Brad: Hold on, hold on, I'm not done.

Katie: Sorry.

Brad: I love you so much. Do you know that?

Katie: Brad, yeah. What?

Brad: You are everything to me. And in the hard times, it's your strength and your faith in us that pulls me through.

Katie: You're embarrassing me.

Brad: I don't care. I don't care, and I would never want anything more than what we have and what I have with you right now. I know that everything is gonna work out for us the way it's meant to be.

Katie: To the way things are meant to be.

Brad: Hear, hear!

Henry: Hear, hear!

Vienna: Hear, hear!

[Glasses clinking]

Matt: Hey, for the birthday boy.

Reg: You're not drinking, right?

Luke: No.

Reg: Sweet.

[Cell phone rings]

Luke: They're here.

All: Surprise! Happy birthday, buddy!

Casey: What is this?

Luke: Casey, welcome to your 21st birthday.

Casey: You knew about this?

Jade: I'm sure you'll forgive me after a couple rounds.

Reg: Or three.

Matt: Happy birthday, bro.

Casey: Thanks, man. Thank you, Sir, may I have another?

Jade: Coming right up.

Luke: You, me, dance floor, now.

Noah: Here, Casey, have mine.

Casey: Thank you.

Alison: Hey, happy birthday.

Casey: Thanks.

Alison: I had no idea. I feel bad that I don't have a present for you.

Casey: I remember one thing, though, that feels pretty good.

Alison: Casey --

Casey: Come on, I'm sure there's something you can give me.

Alison: God, Casey. Sometimes you make it really hard to just even be nice to you.

Jade: Don't worry about her. It's your birthday. Have fun.

Casey: Fun. Right, yeah. I'll try.

Jade: Luke and Noah look like they're having fun.

Casey: Yeah.

Jade: They're really doing their thing.

Casey: Uh-huh.

Jade: Casey, ask me to dance.

Casey: You want to dance?

Jade: Yeah, it's a party. Or at least, it's supposed to be.

Casey: All right, give me a second. Matt, let me get another beer.

Matt: Yeah. Elwood?

Elwood: What's up, Case?

Casey: They let you out?

Elwood: Yeah, paroled early. I've been a free man since New Year’s. Is there a party going on tonight?

Casey: Yeah, it's mine.

Elwood: Excellent. Mind if I crash it? Come on, we used to be friends.

Casey: Oh, yeah, I'm sorry, I'm such a bonehead. I don't know why I obsess over you framing me with stealing those manuscripts, huh?

Elwood: Can we just forget about all that?

Casey: Yeah, we should. Let me get you a beer. I hear the turncoat ale's pretty good.

Elwood: That's all right, I'll buy my own. Don't want you ripping off Grandma to pay for it.

Casey: All right, pretty lady, ready?

Jade: Let me see you shake it.

Casey: You don't know.

Katie: Ooh, that champagne went straight to my head.

Brad: Then I need to get you straight into bed.

Katie: Did I ever tell you I love the way you think?

Brad: Good. Because I love everything about you.

Katie: Good.

Brad: Especially this.

Katie: I'm just getting started.

Brad: Okay, no, whoa, whoa, before we get carried away, what about your, umm, you know, the --

Katie: Oh, yeah, right.

Brad: That thingamabob, right, yeah.

Katie: I'm on it. I'm on it.

Brad: Okay. How are you doing in there? Are you almost done?

Katie: Yeah, almost. Okay.

Brad: You are so beautiful.

Katie: Come here and make love to me.

Noah: Okay, I need a break.

Luke: Yeah, yeah, me too. You two -- you two are on your own!

Jade: Oh, I'm tired of being held back.

Casey: I know, you don't want us to make you look bad.

Luke: Come on, Case. You dance like a drunk frat guy.

Casey: You love it.

Noah: You wish. Come on, let's get some air.

Elwood: See you later.

Reg: Yeah. Take care.

Luke: Hey, I didn't know you knew Elwood?

Reg: Yeah, we had a class together last year.

Noah: Which one?

Reg: American lit. I haven't seen him around for a while.

Luke: Yeah, that's because he was in jail.

Reg: Really?

Noah: Yeah, and when he got busted, he tried to set Casey up to take the fall for him.

Luke: Which is totally not cool.

Reg: I had no idea.

Luke: Well, if I were you, I'd just stay away from him.

Reg: Yeah, definitely. I will. Thanks. I am freezing. I'm going to head back inside.

Matt: You know, it would be so much better if we had menus.

Alison: Why?

Matt: 'Cause then you could hide behind one as you stare at them, make a little less obvious.

Alison: Sorry.

Matt: You're cute when you're embarrassed.

Alison: Shut up.

Bartender: Thanks for covering for me, man.

Matt: No problem. I'm off, come on. You've been sitting there for long enough.

Alison: Where are we going?

Matt: Do you want to dance?

Alison: Sure.

Matt: Just one condition.

Alison: What, don't step on your toes?

Matt: You can't look at anybody but me.

Alison: I think I can manage that.

Jade: You're losing your buzz.

Casey: No. No, I'm not.

Jade: Well, I am, so come on.

Vienna: Do you know what I want?

Henry: Anything. I'm feeling very limber.

Vienna: No, I want more.

Henry: Want more of what? Want more of this? You want more of this?

Vienna: No, no, I want more champagne.

Henry: What?

Vienna: You heard me.

Henry: You want it, like, right now?

Vienna: Desperately.

Henry: Desperately?

Vienna: Yes.

Henry: I've never been known to turn down a desperate woman before. I'll just call room service.

Vienna: No, no, no, no. I don't want to get interrupted once we get started. You should go get it -- now.

Henry: Your wish is my most humble command. If the people in Room 1041 ask about this, just plead ignorance and try not to hiccup.

[Vienna takes a needle and punctures the condom package]

Vienna: Oh, you're too good to me. I can't wait to return the favor. Woo!

Henry: Whoo.

Elwood: She's so hot. I can't tell you how many times I've watched her movies.

Casey: Shut up, Elwood!

Jade: You're disgusting!

Elwood: She's got nothing on her sister, though.

Jade: Casey!

Casey: You gonna keep running your mouth, huh?

Alison: Casey, what the hell is wrong with you?

Casey: What do you care what I do?

Luke: Calm down. Just everybody, please calm down.

Noah: You don't want to get kicked out. Come on.

Alison: No, Casey's right. I don't care. Who am I to stop him from being an ass!

Matt: Alison, come -- hold on.

Elwood: You just got told off by a porn star. You loser.

Luke: Case, Case -- Reg! Reg? Reg? Open your eyes.

Noah: Luke, he has barely got a pulse.

Luke: Call 911, we need an ambulance!

Casey: What's wrong with Reg?!

Jade: Probably just drank too much.

Casey: Who drank too much?

Jade: Yeah, you're not far behind. We have to get you out of here.

Casey: Why? Why?

Jade: You're on parole, Casey.

Casey: So?

Jade: You're drunk, and you just punched Elwood in the face.

Casey: He deserves it.

Jade: Even so. If the cops gets here, you're gonna be in a lot of trouble. Come on, let's go.

Brad: That was --

Katie: Awesome.

Brad: Yeah. Oh, wow. Was it just me, or did that feel different this time?

Katie: Yeah, it did. I felt that. I don't think I have ever felt closer to you.

Brad: I know what it is.

Katie: You do?

Brad: Yeah. I do, I do. It's us. You know, like, we're different. It's like we've reached a new level.

Katie: Yeah.

Brad: No, come on. You know, there's no question. It's like how we feel about each other.

Katie: I think you're right.

Brad: Like when Bob told us that we wouldn't be able to start a family right now, it felt like being sucker-punched.

Katie: Yeah, like being cheated out of something you know you have every right to want.

Brad: Yeah, yeah, I mean, that's the way I felt from the start, you know. But somehow, it's like I feel like we gained something instead. Instead of tearing us apart, it's like it's brought us closer together.

Katie: We are closer.

Brad: It's all about trust. You know what it is? I feel really safe, and like I could tell you anything. And I know that you feel the same way. It's almost like I'm glad we went through that together.

Katie: But it's not permanent, right? We'll have a baby eventually.

Brad: Yeah, I mean, after some time. Bob said that it might be a while before you're strong enough.

Katie: Yeah, but I know what he said. It's just that, that's one opinion, and my opinion is that I have never felt stronger in my life.

Brad: And I want you to stay that way. You're all that matters to me.

Katie: I have to tell you something.

Brad: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay, let me say something first. I would be perfectly happy if it was just like this forever.

Katie: What do you mean, with no baby? But you said you felt totally cheated.

Brad: I did, I did. I do, I do, but see, what I'm trying to tell you, Honey, is that I don't think that we need a baby, you know, to feel complete because we're already there. I love you. All right, so what were you gonna say?

Katie: Just, that. Just exactly that.

Henry: Ohh! Ohh! I can't move. Ahh, ahh, ahh! Ooh, ooh!

Vienna: That's good, it'll make it so much easier for me to have my way with you.

Henry: Oh, mercy, woman. Mercy, mercy, woman. Give me like five minutes to recover here. Whoo.

Vienna: A full five minutes?

Henry: Okay, maybe two minutes, three minutes, tops. Maybe some aspirin, too.

Vienna: We have more champagne, but it's all the way over there.

Henry: I suppose I could crawl over to get it.

Vienna: You're my hero. Let me get you a glass. Ohh. It's on the floor. It's all dirty.

Henry: It's fine.

Vienna: No, it was on the floor.

Henry: So were we.

Vienna: Can you just rinse it out for me? Please?

Henry: Okay. Ooh, I think I pulled something. What the hell are you doing?!

Matt: You all right?

Alison: Yeah, I'm just -- I'm really sorry about before.

Matt: You don't have to apologize.

Alison: Well, I feel like I should. It's just -- Casey just drives me insane sometimes.

Matt: I didn't notice. I mean, with the way the two of you were eye-balling each other the whole night.

Alison: I told you I shouldn't have stayed.

Matt: I'll never doubt you again.

Alison: It's just like one minute, Casey can be the sweetest guy on the face of the planet, and the next minute, he's saying obnoxious, drunk comments and fighting people.

Matt: Well, maybe he's just well-rounded.

Alison: Maybe I just need to have my head examined for even caring about him.

Matt: So why do you?

Alison: Because I just -- I miss him, as a friend.

Matt: Is that really all you want it to be?

Alison: I don't know how to answer that.

Matt: You could go with the truth.

Alison: No, I mean, I really don't know how I feel. It's always changing. And it's gotten to the point where I don't even know how to be his friend anymore.

Matt: Well. There is something you could do.

Alison: As I said, have my head examined.

Matt: Or, you could just have it out with him.

Alison: We've tried that. And it doesn't work. One of us always manages to avoid that conversation.

Matt: So this time, don't avoid it.

EMT #1: 20-year-old male, unconscious at the scene. Unresponsive in transit. Drinking when he collapsed.

Doctor: You two have to wait out here.

Luke: But -- I don't understand how this could have happened. What's wrong with him?

Noah: I'm sure he'll be okay.

Luke: Noah, didn't you see him? He looked so pale.

Noah: Well, hopefully he was just dehydrated from dancing all night.

Luke: I never saw him on the dance floor.

Noah: He's with the doctors. They'll help him out.

Luke: Yeah. Do you think we should call somebody?

Noah: I wouldn't know who.

Luke: Me either. Maybe Tony, his ex?

Noah: No, I think we should just wait and see what the doctor says.

Luke: How is he? Is he awake? Can we see him?

Doctor: I'm sorry, he didn't make it.

Luke: He didn't make it? He died? Reg is dead? A drug overdose? No. No way. Reg was not into that kind of stuff.

Noah: Luke, that's not entirely true.

Luke: What?

Noah: He had a boyfriend who was into drugs.

Luke: Yeah, occasionally, recreationally. But not Reg. Reg told me he wasn’t.

Doctor: We'll know more once we perform the autopsy.

Luke: So -- I mean, we would have seen something. We should have known, right?

Noah: I don't know. I mean, he knew how you and I felt about it. He could have kept it hidden from us.

Doctor: We'll need to notify the police and his family.

Luke: He was a student at Oakdale U. they should have his info.

Noah: Oh, wait. I have his wallet.

Doctor: Thank you, and again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Luke: I can't believe that this is happening. Reg is not dead.

Noah: Pills.

Luke: Oh, my God.

[Luke remembering]

Elwood: See you later.

Reg: Take care.

Luke: When we came outside, Reg was with Elwood. That's what was going on. Elwood sold him these pills.

Noah: Maybe, we don't know that.

Luke: Yes, yes, I do. It was Elwood. Elwood killed Reg.

Henry: How could you do this?

Vienna: You're not supposed to see that.

Henry: You think?!

Vienna: It's not a big deal.

Henry: Not a big deal? This is entrapment, Vienna.

Vienna: No, no, no, I wasn't trying to trap you. You're overreacting.

Henry: Why did you do this?

Vienna: I was experimenting.

Henry: What?! What?! We talked about this, okay? We agreed, children is not something that we want!

Vienna: No, I really tried to accept it, Henry. I tried, but this feeling, this longing inside of me of having a child of our own just came floating back. And what was I supposed to do?

Henry: You talk about it! That's what you do. Punching holes in condoms, that's not what you do.

Vienna: No, because I knew that it was no use of talking about it to you because every time I bring up a baby, you say no.

Henry: And you ignore that? You take the choice away from me?

Vienna: Listen, if we had a baby, you would be happy, Henry. I know it. You wouldn't question how we got it.

Henry: No, no, you're wrong. Yes, I would question it, okay? Listen, listen, look at me. Look at me. When we make love, it's not just costumes and safe words, okay? It is about loving and trusting you. And what you did tonight, that's not loving. It's not trusting.

Vienna: So what are you saying? You don't trust me anymore?

Henry: Should I?

Vienna: Yes. I love you, Henry.

Henry: Okay, all right. If you love me, then you need to be very honest with me right now. How many times have you done this?

Vienna: Once.

Henry: When?

Vienna: When you went to get the champagne.

Henry: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, are you saying that you could be --

Vienna: I could be pregnant right now!

Henry: No, no, no, shh, no, this is not happening! This is not happening. Umm, jump.

Vienna: What?

Henry: Jump. Jump up and down. Sometimes if you do that afterwards, it doesn't happen. Come on, jump.

Vienna: No, that's not true!

Henry: I don't care! All right, jump, woman, jump! Jump!

Vienna: No!

Brad: It does not get better than this.

Katie: Oh, wait, you have a little ice cream.

Brad: Hello. Henry was right.

Katie: About what?

Brad: Well, you know, it's something that he said. At first I dismissed it, you know, Henry being Henry.

Katie: What did he say?

Brad: Well, he said that he and Vienna are content. They don't feel like they're missing out on anything for not having a baby.

Katie: And you feel that way, too?

Brad: I'm starting to see how it's possible.

Katie: So now you don't want to have a baby?

Brad: No. No. No. All I'm saying is, if we did, is this something that we could do? Hanging out in bed naked, eating ice cream?

Katie: We'd lock the door.

Brad: Forget about being spontaneous. I mean, if we have kids, you can't do that. And I, for one, like making love to you in the kitchen.

Katie: We have Liberty here. That hasn't stopped us.

Brad: I'm just saying that there are certain advantages to our situation.

Katie: But you don't want to stop trying entirely, do you?

Brad: No. No, never.

Katie: Okay, good, because if you didn't want to have a baby, all of a sudden, that would kind of change everything.

Brad: Nothing's changed. Nothing's changed, all right? I'm just saying, until you get stronger, I'm just trying to tell you that I'm more than happy with the way things are.

Katie: Okay, but if I did happen to get pregnant one of these days, then you'd be okay with that, right?

Brad: More than okay. I'd be the happiest guy on earth. All right, that is something you don't ever have to question.

Katie: Okay, good. I think I'm done with the ice cream.

Brad: I'm not.

Matt: What happened? Where is everyone?

Alison: Is the party over?

Bartender: It broke up when one of the guys collapsed.

Alison: Was it someone who was here for the party? Do you know who?

Bartender: No, but they did take him to the hospital.

Alison: You don't think it was Casey, do you? I mean, everyone was buying him birthday drinks, one after another.

Matt: It could have been that guy that he punched.

Alison: Elwood --

Matt: Why don't you call Casey and find out?

Alison: Voicemail.

Matt: He could've just turned his phone off.

Alison: He said whoever it was was taken to the hospital, right?

Matt: Yeah.

Alison: Hey, Lorraine, it's Alison. Hi. Listen, was Casey Hughes admitted tonight? He wasn't? Okay. Oh, well do you know who -- no, no, I understand, if you have to go. Okay, thank you, bye.

Matt: Okay, it wasn't Casey?

Alison: No. But she was paged before she could tell me anything else.

Bartender: Hey, Matt, the police need me to make a statement. Can you cover for me?

Matt: Yeah, yeah, sure, go ahead, no problem.

Alison: Maybe while you're here, I'll just swing by Casey's to make sure he's okay. And Luke and Noah --

Matt: Oh, yeah, sure. Go check on Casey. You might be able to talk to him while you're there.

Alison: One thing at time.

Matt: Keep me posted?

Alison: I will. Thanks.

Casey: Yes.

Jade: Where are the lights?

Casey: Over there. Bright!

Jade: I'm sorry.

Casey: Yes! That's what I'm talking about.

Jade: Wow, the party never ends for you, does it?

Casey: Nope. I can go all night.

Jade: I bet you can. Whoa, slow down there, big guy.

Casey: Come on, it's my birthday. Don't I get to have what I want?

Jade: You want me?

Casey: I don't see anybody else.

Jade: I'm talking about in there.

Casey: It's all clear.

Jade: I don't think so.

Casey: Come on, Jade. You're sexy, you're hot, I like you, you're cool to be with.

Jade: What about all of the bad things I've done? You don't care about that?

Casey: Do you care about all the bad things I've done?

Jade: No.

Casey: So, let's think about all the good things we could do together.

[Alison is outside by the door and looks in the window and sees Casey and Jade on top of each other]

Casey: Yes!

Jade: Did you hear that?

Casey: No, I didn't hear anything.

Noah: Luke, stop. Will you slow down?

Luke: I have to find him.

Noah: You don't know if Elwood had anything to do with this.

Luke: Yes, I do. He killed our friend, Noah. Doesn't that mean anything to you?

Noah: It does, you know it does.

Luke: You saw them together, how jumpy they both were.

Noah: Yeah, it was strange, I admit it, but there was a lot of strange things about tonight.

Luke: Noah, we walked in on a drug deal. That's why Reg was so defensive. That's why Elwood ran off like that. You! You, you! I know what you did.

Elwood: I didn't --

Luke: You sold Reg those drugs. And now he's dead, Wood! He's dead!

Noah: Luke, stop.

Elwood: I didn't do anything.

Noah: Luke.

Elwood: Get off of me. What is wrong with you, man? Are you crazy!

Luke: You're a murderer! You're a murderer!

Noah: Luke, Luke.

Vienna: Please don't be mad at me, Henry.

Henry: What you did tonight was dishonest, and it was cruel.

Vienna: I said I was sorry.

Henry: Are you?

Vienna: Yes.

Henry: I don't understand what you were thinking --

Vienna: What I was thinking was how much I want us to have our baby.

Henry: To trick me into it, though, even though you know it's something I don't want?

Vienna: What about what I want?

Henry: What? What? What do you want? We almost broke up over this.

Vienna: I know.

Henry: And having a baby, you want it so badly, you would risk that happening again?

Vienna: No.

Henry: You would risk us?

Vienna: No. No, no, no, I would never risk us.

Henry: I hope not.

Vienna: Henry --

Henry: Don’t. You could be -- I can't even say it.

Vienna: I could be pregnant. And saying it out loud won't change anything.

Henry: No, but having a baby could change everything.

Brad: I could make love you to all night.

Katie: Be my guest.

Jade: Did you ever think that we would --?

Casey: No -- do you want me to stop?

Jade: No.

Matt: Hey, you're back. Did you find Casey?

Alison: I saw him.

Matt: Is he okay?

Alison: Trust me, he's feeling no pain.

Matt: Did you talk to him?

Alison: No. By the time I got there, I didn't see what was the point.

Matt: But you said that --

Alison: I know what I said.

Matt: Okay.

Alison: Sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you.

Matt: No, it's just -- you seemed like you really wanted to figure out your feelings for him, so --

Alison: I did. And I have. Casey's made it very clear that he's not into me.

Matt: Well, then the guy's an idiot. So where does that leave you?

Alison: I went looking for an answer, and I got one.

Matt: Was it the one that you wanted?

Alison: It is what it is. At least I have a little pride left.

Matt: Does this means Casey and you are --

Alison: Over. Casey and I are officially over.

On the next "As the World Turns."

Luke: Casey.

Noah: Jade, I didn't expect to see you here.

Jade: And from the look on Casey's face, I don't think he did, either.

Alison: You took Jade home and had sex with her, right?

Casey: If he had gotten away with it, I would be at Statesville right now.

Luke: Which is exactly where Elwood should be if he gave Reg those pills.

Elwood: I don't need this.

Casey: Wait, wait, wait, let me talk --

Carly: I'm not gonna let you coerce me into running off with you.
