Craig: Well, this has to be a first. Carly Tenney, speechless? Or is it Carly Tenney Snyder? Carly Tenney Snyder Tenney?
Carly: What the hell are you doing here?
Craig: Having a drink with you.
Carly: Shouldn't you be in a maximum-security prison someplace?
Craig: A lot of people are asking me that question and it's starting to get on my nerves.
Carly: Maybe nobody can believe that you've actually gotten away with all your crimes.
Craig: Unfortunately for them, the truth is I haven't committed any.
Carly: This is me you're talking to.
Craig: Which is why I hoped you wouldn't assume the worst.
Carly: Sorry to disappoint, but I do know you all too well.
Craig: Is that why you're so glad to see me?
Carly: You know better than that.
Craig: I know this. Your drink is empty and you're still here. So why don't you let me buy the next round and we'll catch up?
Katie: We're having such a good time. Why do you want to ruin it by talking about my brother?
Brad: I just want to know what's going on.
Katie: Nothing is going on.
Brad: Okay then. Fine, you got to admit that something bad is always happening when your brother's around.
Katie: Just let it go.
Brad: It's that bad.
Katie: If all you want to do is to talk about Craig, we should probably just leave.
Brad: Why are you so touchy?
Katie: I'm not touchy. I just don't want to talk about him.
Brad: What -- that's not the only thing you don't want to talk about.
Katie: That's not true.
Brad: Yeah, well, there's Craig. There's Spencer. There's Dani's investigation.
Katie: That's only two things.
Brad: I count three.
Katie: No, Daniís investigation and Spencerís disappearance are the same thing.
Brad: Okay, don't confuse me. Okay, we're supposed to be able to talk about anything.
Katie: We can. I just want to focus on the good things, like how much I love you. And what I'm going to do to you when we get home.
Katie: But if you want to talk about something else --
Brad: I completely forgot what I was talking about. So, I mean, what were you saying?
Katie: I was just saying that that wedding today reminded me of how much I love you and how lucky I am. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me.
Brad: I already know that. Let's get back to the part about what you're going to do to me when we get home.
Katie: Oh, yeah, that part. Okay, well, first --
Brad: This is our chance.
Katie: For what?
Brad: To see if she knows something.
Katie: No, Brad.
Brad: Okay, then I promise we'll get right back to where we left off.
Katie: No, we wonít. Because if you go over there, don't bother coming back.
Barbara: Well, what did you expect?
Paul: Who told you?
Barbara: Don't blame the help. I got here and she answered the door. And when I asked where Meg was, she got very evasive. So I pushed her until she coughed up the truth. What are you doing?
Paul: Avoiding my mother. Meg wants a divorce.
Barbara: Are you surprised, Paul?
Paul: Oh, it's always such a comfort to have you in my corner.
Barbara: How could you do it? How could you hire that girl to act like some kind of reincarnation of your sister --?
Paul: I had to do something to get Dusty away from Meg --
Barbara: How could you do that -- how could you desecrate your sister's memory like that --?
Paul: He was trying to steal her from me -- I was trying to save my family!
Barbara: And what are you doing now?
Barbara: About Meg.
Paul: There's nothing to do.
Barbara: Nothing? So that's it? You're just going to give up on your family? On your wife, on your baby?
Paul: Unless you have a better idea. And I honestly hope that you do.
Barbara: You want me to help you?
Paul: Well, I've got no one else.
Meg: Can I come in?
Dusty: Of course.
Meg: Thank you.
Dusty: You seem upset. Are you okay?
Meg: I am upset, actually.
Dusty: Sit down.
Meg: Thank you. I owe you an apology.
Dusty: No you donít.
Meg: You tried to tell me the truth and I didn't believe you.
Dusty: It doesn't matter.
Meg: Yeah, it does. You were being a friend, trying to save me from a disaster I was too stupid to see coming.
Dusty: You're not stupid.
Meg: I was. I was. And you paid the price. You know, I still can't believe Paul did what he did.
Dusty: Seems too diabolical, you know, even for him.
Meg: Yeah, obviously, nothing is.
Dusty: You can't blame yourself. You love him, you know.
Meg: Yeah, so what's wrong with me?
Meg: Thank you for lying.
Dusty: None of this is your fault, Meg.
Meg: Well, I still want to apologize. And I really hope that you can forgive me. I miss being your friend.
Craig: Another one for the lady, scotch neat for me.
Carly: No, thanks.
Craig: Oh, I think you need this.
Carly: Why is that?
Craig: Because I saw what's happening at Lily's house.
Carly: You went to the wedding?
Craig: Well, I wasn't invited.
Carly: I wouldn't think so.
Craig: Well, I just happened by and there it was. It was actually quite beautiful. You would've liked it.
Carly: I was there.
Craig: I didn't see you.
Carly: I must've already left.
Craig: Why would you want to go in the first place?
Carly: I was invited. I'm family.
Craig: Well, who can keep up with what that means these days? It must bother you to have the world's most righteous detective no longer your servant.
Carly: You've lost none of your charm.
Craig: No, I'm just asking. If you're just a big happy family, why did you bail out early?
Carly: There was someplace I had to be.
Craig: And a lovely place it is.
Carly: But I don't have to be here anymore. So --
Craig: It's on me --
Carly: Nice seeing you. No, thanks.
Craig: Oh look, your drink is here.
Carly: I'm leaving.
Craig: Why? It's not like anyone's waiting for you.
Carly: You're a bastard.
Craig: And I'm an excellent drinking partner. Come on, Carly. For old time's sake. Thank you for sticking around. I hate to drink alone.
Carly: It doesn't mean I've changed my mind about you.
Craig: Why, it never occurred to me that it would.
Carly: I haven't forgotten about the trail of victims you left behind you, including my sister.
Craig: Would it matter if I told you how truly sorry I am about that?
Carly: Not a bit.
Craig: In fairness, I don't recall you ever being miss popularity yourself.
Carly: Nothing like you.
Craig: So what did you do to finally drive loyal old Jack away?
Carly: Jack is gone because I let him go.
Craig: Oh no, Carly, I know you better than that. You loved that he was always there to take you back once you were done making a fool out of him.
Carly: That isn't true.
Craig: Well then, come on. How did the dog slip his leash?
Carly: I'd rather discuss why the Oakdale Police haven't arrested you for trying to blow up Paul Ryan.
Craig: My upstanding character, I suppose.
Carly: They've been waiting to charge you since you left.
Craig: I have an alibi.
Carly: How much did that cost you?
Craig: Not a dime. It's my sister Katie.
Carly: Katie hates you. She wouldn't lie for you.
Craig: And I would never ask her to.
Carly: What do you have on her?
Craig: You have gotten so cynical.
Carly: You bring it out in me.
Craig: Well, you know what they say? Underneath every cynic is a romantic that has just been dumped.
Carly: Not this one.
Craig: So I'm supposed to believe that you're happy to send Jack off into wedded bliss with someone else?
Carly: That's right.
Craig: Well, good for you. Sometimes it's liberating to let someone else go free.
Carly: Is that the line you sold to the judge at your sentencing?
Craig: I didn't need one. I've never committed a crime.
Carly: You mean, you've never been forced to pay for one.
Craig: Oh now, you're just splitting hairs. So what about you?
Carly: What about me?
Craig: What are you going to do with the rest of your life?
Dusty: You're still my friend. I'm still yours.
Meg: Even after what Paul did to you?
Dusty: I don't blame you for his actions. I just hope you stay away from him this time.
Meg: I'm getting a divorce.
Dusty: That's good. It will be difficult with a baby on the way.
Meg: Well, it's my baby, too. And I will protect her at all costs.
Dusty: You're having a little girl, huh?
Dusty: That's beautiful.
Meg: Thank you.
Dusty: Paul's going to fight you for custody.
Meg: Well, that will be up to a judge.
Dusty: You think that will stop him?
Meg: If it's the only way he'll ever see his daughter.
Dusty: I used to think I knew what Paul was capable of, but I sure fell for his latest scam.
Meg: Well, you can't blame yourself for not seeing it coming.
Dusty: I was believing in things that made no sense.
Meg: You wanted to believe that it was true.
Dusty: I put this girl Josie ahead of finding my son. Now the trail's gone cold.
Meg: Look, you'll get another lead.
Dusty: If I do, it will be harder now that Craig is back. I wish I had seen through this redhead sooner.
Meg: None of us did.
Dusty: I should have seen right through her.
Meg: You really cared about her, didn't you?
Dusty: Yeah. What's worse is I still do.
Paul: Okay look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And I know being sorry doesn't fix anything. But you need to help me. If you don't help me get my family back, then neither one of us is ever going to see Eliza.
Barbara: Meg won't blame me for what you've done.
Paul: If you think that Meg is ever going to let you near your grandchild, you're wrong. She knows me way too well to ever trust you.
Barbara: That is unbelievably twisted logic, even for you.
Paul: Yeah, I know. Thank you.
Barbara: Okay, okay. There is only one way out of this.
Paul: Really? How?
Barbara: You've got to get Josie to come back here and change her story.
Paul: Change it to what?
Barbara: She comes back again. She tells Meg and everyone else that -- that you had a change of heart and you begged her to stop the charade and she said no. Because she was so in love with Dusty and was so happy pretending to be someone else, that she just refused.
Paul: Yeah well, that looks good on paper.
Barbara: It could work.
Paul: No. There's only one problem with it. Josie will never go for it. Not in a million years.
Katie: No, listen, Daniís obviously off-duty. I'm sure the last thing she wants to talk about --
Brad: Will you come on -- will you come on? Okay, she's alone. She's off work. Maybe she can tell us something.
Katie: I just want to go home, Brad. Now --
Brad: Listen, it will take a minute. Just a minute, I promise. Hey, Dani, what's going on?
Dani: Hi. Nothing.
Brad: Yeah, so you can tell us anything -- anything new on Spencer?
Dani: No, not yet.
Brad: So you don't know who she was working with? Or you know, why she targeted us -- anything --
Dani: Look, we're just really not going to know anything until we find her --
Brad: You know what, I will -- you know, I was able to find her twice and I didn't have the resources that you have.
Dani: Oh, oh, okay, so maybe you would like to join the police force? Show us all how it's done --
Brad: Well, considering the progress that you've made so far, that might not be such a bad idea.
Katie: Okay, let's go -- sorry to bother you --
Dani: Be my guest --
Brad: Well, I'm not --
Katie: Let's go --
[Cell phone rings]
Carly: Aren't you going to get that?
Craig: It's no one nearly as interesting as you. You haven't answered my question.
Carly: What question is that?
Craig: Your plans for the future.
Carly: Do you mean tonight? Or this week? This year? What?
Craig: All of the above.
Carly: Well, I suppose I'm going to focus on my children, get working on my career again. Become the independent woman that I like to be.
Craig: You, without a man?
Carly: That's right.
Craig: Not in this lifetime. That's not the Carly I know.
Carly: Well, perhaps I'm not the Carly you knew.
Craig: Some poor innocent guy is going to cross your path and that will be the end of his life as he knows it.
Carly: You don't have to worry about that because that guy most certainly will not be you.
Craig: Do I sound like I'm submitting an application? Though I do remember a couple of times when we set the sheets on fire.
Carly: That will never happen again. Ever.
Craig: Does that mean we can't be friends?
Carly: That's just one of the reasons.
Craig: You could do a lot worse, you know.
Carly: I don't think so.
Craig: I'm a changed man, Carly.
Carly: Oh Craig, I've got to go.
Craig: Do you really think you should be the one judging people?
Carly: Nice drinking with you.
Craig: I know what you're afraid of.
Carly: I didn't realize I was scared.
Craig: You're afraid to admit that we have so much in common.
Paul: Josie's not going to lie to help me. She hates me.
Barbara: You'll have to convince her.
Paul: Convince her how?
Barbara: With money. Isn't that how you got her here in the first place?
Paul: Yeah, but in the end she turned me down.
Barbara: Offer her more.
Paul: She doesn't want it.
Barbara: Everyone has a price, Paul.
Paul: Not her.
Barbara: Look, she wanted Dusty. And that didn't work out. So now you'll have to convince her that if she is going to be on her own, life could be a lot more cushy if she had cash.
Paul: Yeah well, I tried that.
Barbara: So try again.
Paul: You don't know her. She left a lot of money on the table.
Barbara: What are you so afraid of?
Paul: I know what I'm up against. She won't even talk to me!
Barbara: She'll talk to me.
Paul: No, even you can't convince her.
Barbara: I won't have to. I'll just set up the meeting. You show up.
Paul: No, the second she sees that it's me, she'll run screaming from the room.
Barbara: Then you have to stop her. Because you know what? You've got to get your life back. And she might be the only chance you've got.
Meg: Is there anything worse than when the person you love is the one who betrays you?
Dusty: It certainly puts a damper on the romance.
Meg: Well, at least you can use me as an example of what not to do. You can't keep giving them chances. Each betrayal hurts more than the one before.
Dusty: I thought Josie would be another chance.
Meg: With Jennifer?
Dusty: Yeah. Well, by the end, it wasn't so much about Jennifer.
Meg: You love her?
Dusty: Well, how do you know? You know, I'm trying to figure out, Meg.
Meg: Okay, stop. Leave it in the past.
Dusty: You're absolutely right. I'll see if I can.
Meg: Is there anything I can do to help?
Dusty: Yeah, yeah, I need to get out of here. Allow me to buy you a cup of coffee over at Java.
Carly: Right now, the only thing that you and I have in common is this bar.
Craig: You may not want to see it, but I do.
Carly: Because you're disturbed.
Craig: We both love our children. And we'll both do anything to protect them.
Carly: I've never tried to kill one of mine.
Craig: Neither have I.
Carly: You drove Bryant to his death. And then you tried to replace him with Johnny.
Craig: Thanks for the armchair analysis.
Carly: You were obsessed -- obsessed! So much so that your daughter felt the only way out was to take Johnny and disappear.
Craig: And I've been looking for them ever since.
Carly: And what are you doing here? Why aren't you out there searching?
Craig: The trail went cold. I heard Dusty was back, so I thought maybe he had a lead that I had missed.
Carly: And you thought that he would share it with you?
Craig: Well, I hoped maybe we could combine our efforts.
Craig: He turned me down. Not that I blame him. We have had our differences.
Carly: That's one way to put it.
Craig: I've made a lot of mistakes. But I've always put my children before everything.
Craig: Are you out of your mind? Craig, you are a complete menace to everybody around you. Especially those people you claim to care about.
Craig: You're entitled to your opinion.
Carly: Hey, you're the one who wanted to drink to old times.
Craig: Well, I was talking about you and me.
Carly: There is no you and me.
Craig: You're right. We'll never be able to be friends.
Brad: Well, I just think Dani owes us some answers.
Katie: She doesn't owe us anything.
Brad: This stinks. This whole thing -- it really just -- it stinks.
Katie: Do you think she's lying?
Brad: You know, I just find it interesting that she's around every time the cops drop the ball.
Katie: I don't think so.
Brad: Okay, what about when Henry and Vienna were searching Spencerís hotel room and they found that suitcase full of money?
Katie: Yeah --
Brad: Okay, who was the one that investigated that money after we found out it was fake?
Brad: She came to Chicago when we found Spencerís apartment and we handed her a lead on a silver platter and she couldn't deliver, still? And oh, yeah, before that -- okay, when the evidence went missing along with Spencerís body? Who was perfectly placed to make that happen? Dani.
Katie: So now she's a part of some grand conspiracy?
Brad: Well, how can you be sure she's not?
Katie: I just think you're reaching.
Brad: Well, you have to admit that it does make some sense.
Katie: I don't care, Brad. You were in jail for murder, and now you're out. You got your life back and so did I. Why can't you just be grateful and leave well enough alone?
Carly: Have I actually hurt your feelings?
Craig: I was merely trying to be sociable.
Carly: Oh, Craig. No, you werenít. It's always something with you. Some kind of agenda.
Craig: Tell me something, Carly. How would you feel if someone took Parker away from you?
Carly: You brought it on yourself.
Craig: Thanks for the sympathy.
Carly: Hey, wait. Did you really think that you could team up with Dusty to find Johnny?
Craig: I would do anything to find my son. Even sleep with the enemy.
Carly: And say you found him, then what? Would you stab that enemy in the back?
Craig: Boy, losing Jack really has made you cynical.
Dani: Why didn't you pick up your phone?
Craig: Excuse me?
Dani: I called you. Don't you have your cell?
Craig: I'm in the middle of something.
Craig: Is there some kind of a problem?
Dani: Damn right there is.
Josie: What are you doing here?
Paul: I came to talk to you.
Josie: Where's Barbara?
Paul: She's not coming.
Josie: She said it was urgent.
Paul: It is. There is something that you need to hear. Please. Just listen to me one last time.
Josie: Go ahead.
Paul: Thank you. You know my wife and I are expecting. Meg's left me. I've lost everything.
Josie: Well, you should've thought about that before you sent me after Dusty.
Paul: I know you care about him.
Josie: Not that it matters.
Paul: I know you know what it feels like to lose someone and I'm asking you to imagine if it were a child.
Josie: There's nothing I can do.
Paul: There is something you can do. You can talk to her.
Josie: Are you kidding me?
Paul: You can talk to Meg. You can tell her that I begged you to tell Dusty the truth but you were afraid you were in love with him. And you thought that he would never forgive you and so you refused.
Josie: Is Meg stupid enough to believe that?
Paul: I'm hoping she really wants to believe it. I know. It's all that I got left.
Josie: Why should I help you?
Paul: I'll make it worth your while.
Josie: How many times do I have to tell you that I don't want your money?
Paul: I'll double the fee we agreed on.
Paul: Really? Now who's being stupid?
Josie: I think we're done here.
Paul: Okay, no, honestly, I'm not going to -- you've already lost Dusty. I mean, he's probably making the moves on Meg right now.
Josie: You're crazy.
Paul: I won't let you destroy my family.
Josie: You did that, not me. Now let go of me!
Paul: Not until you agree to this deal.
Josie: No, let go!
Dusty: Let go of her, Paul. Let go now! Did you hear me? Let her go.
Paul: What did I tell you?
Josie: Let go of me.
Meg: Do it, Paul.
Josie: He's crazy.
Dusty: Yeah, we know.
Paul: I wasn't trying to hurt her. I just wanted her to tell everybody the truth.
Josie: I did.
Paul: I begged you to come clean. She's the one that kept the lies -- will you tell them?
Josie: Get him away from me.
Dusty: Paul, you got to back off.
Meg: Dusty, get her out of here, please.
Dusty: I'm not leaving you here.
Meg: Look, I'll be fine.
Dusty: Okay, let's go.
Paul: I just wanted her to tell you the truth --
Meg: What makes you think it matters?
Paul: Come on, Meg --
Meg: You need to let it go for everybody's sake. Including your own.
Paul: What are you doing here with Dusty?
Meg: We're friends.
Paul: Really? I knew it. I've been right all along, haven't I?
Meg: Look, look, you admitted that you need help. For God's sake, get it.
Craig: I know you're having trouble with your boyfriend, but I'm not sure there's anything I can do.
Dani: My boyfriend?
Craig: That's right. Do you know Dani Andropolous?
Carly: Well, I do. Hiya, I heard you were back in town.
Dani: Yeah, I've been here a few months.
Craig: She works at the police station. With your ex.
Dani: That's right. Didn't he take off today to get married to that waitress from the diner?
Carly: Why, yes, he did. So you two are friends?
Craig: Oh, Daniís always been like a daughter to me.
Carly: Is that right?
Craig: It's just one of those little family things.
Carly: I'm sure.
Craig: Well, I'll be done here soon and we'll talk.
Dani: Great. You know where to find me.
Carly: Your daughter?
Craig: That's right.
Carly: She seems more like a jealous lover to me.
Craig: She does have some boundary issues.
Carly: You are too much.
Craig: You think she has some kind of crush on me?
Carly: I think she looked pretty upset.
Craig: Yeah, maybe I should go talk to her. Well, it's been great catching up with you, Carly.
Carly: I wish I could say the same to you, Craig.
Craig: Well, I'll tell you what. Have another on me. Make it a double. You know, for the road.
Brad: Are you all right?
Katie: I just have a headache. Want to take a nap?
Brad: No, you know what? I'm going to -- I'm going to go on a walk. Get some fresh air. Just clear my head, okay?
Katie: Okay, I'll be waiting.
Katie: Brad? Will you wake me when you get back?
Brad: Yeah. Yeah, I'll just see you later.
Katie: Okay. See you later.
Craig: What the hell was that?
Dani: You tell me.
Craig: I told you to wait for me at Yoís.
Dani: I did wait for you at Yoís, for a really long time. While you were off hitting on another one of your golden oldies.
Craig: That's none of your business.
Craig: We don't have room for petty jealousy. That's not what this is about.
Dani: Oh, what the hell is it about?
Craig: Just stick to the plan.
Dani: I am sick of the plan. I am sick of lying to people and I am really, really starting to get sick of you.
Craig: I don't know what ideas you have gotten into your head, but this is about one thing. Everything else is a diversion.
Dani: Including me. Then maybe I should just go.
Craig: You'll go when I tell you to go. Until then, you'll do exactly what I tell you.
Dani: You're hurting my arm. You're a real bastard, you know that?
Craig: So I've been told.
Josie: Thanks for getting me out of there.
Dusty: What were you doing with him in the first place?
Josie: His mother called. She said she needed to see me and then Paul showed up instead.
Dusty: What did he want?
Josie: He wants me to say that he begged me to stop lying to you and get out of town, but I refused.
Dusty: He's nuts.
Josie: He's desperate. His wife left him.
Dusty: Yeah, I know.
Josie: Obviously. He thinks he can get her back.
Dusty: Well, there's no chance of that happening.
Josie: Really? Are you making sure of that?
Dusty: Meg and I are friends. Do I owe you an explanation?
Josie: No. Thanks again.
Dusty: He's not going to stop. You know, as long as you're here, he's going to keep coming after you.
Josie: I know that. But what can I do about it?
Dusty: You can leave town.
Josie: No, I canít.
Dusty: Why can't you go home? Are you in some kind of trouble?
Josie: That would've meant somebody actually noticed me. Not everything that I told you was a lie. I honestly don't know where I belong.
Dusty: You're not from Sandusky?
Josie: No, that's just the last place I landed. In art school. That's where Paul found me.
Dusty: Do you have family anywhere?
Josie: Not anymore. I just have my degree and a pile of loans.
Dusty: Which Paul promised to pay back, right?
Josie: And then some.
Dusty: Well, there you go. At least you're out of debt.
Josie: I'm not taking his money.
Dusty: Why not? You earned it.
Josie: You sound like him.
Dusty: All right, well, then I'll help you out instead.
Josie: I don't want your money, either --
Dusty: Just a loan until you get situated. Don't worry about it. I can afford it.
Josie: Good for you! But I'm not for sale.
Dusty: I'm trying to help you with a new start.
Josie: Yeah, away from you. So that you don't ever have to see me again. You're trying to buy a clear conscience. Which makes you no better than Paul.
Dusty: Oh, you're so wrong. About everything.
Paul: Meg! Hey, Meg --
Meg: Go away, Paul.
Paul: What's wrong?
Meg: Nothing, okay, except that you're stalking me.
Paul: I just want to talk to you.
Meg: I don't want to talk to you.
Paul: Please --
Meg: Just go away.
Paul: Meg, what is it? What's going on?
Meg: It's probably just Braxton hicks like before.
Paul: Okay, but you're a lot farther along now, right? This might be the real thing. Let's go to the --
Meg: I don't need your help!
Paul: Yeah, well, Eliza does -- that's our baby. Now, let's go.
Paul: Come on, let's -- let's go.
Carly: Is Liberty still there? Yes, she must be. Everybody must be tired. All right, well, I'll be home soon, okay? Bye.
Katie: Excuse me, have you seen Mr. Montgomery?
Carly: He just left.
Katie: You saw him?
Carly: We had a drink.
Katie: You and my brother?
Carly: I know.
Katie: Did he say where he went?
Carly: I thought you two were on the outs.
Katie: Things change.
Carly: Yes. You used to hate him, and now you're his alibi. Things certainly do change.
Brad: You know, Dani Andropolous? Is she still -- is she still around here?
Bartender: I haven't seen her for a while now.
Brad: Does she come in here a lot?
Bartender: No, not really. No.
Brad: All right, thanks, bud.
Dani: You know, I haven't done anything to jeopardize your precious plan.
Craig: What was that scene in the bar?
Dani: We can be seen in public together without people thinking there's more going on between us.
Craig: Really? Because it took Carly about five seconds to figure it out.
Dani: Yes, but then you covered it up with the whole daughter business.
Craig: No, I tried. But the way you acted gave her all the information she needed.
Dani: Well, maybe that's good.
Craig: How is that?
Dani: If people think we're lovers, then they won't think there's anything else going on between us.
Craig: Dani, we don't want them thinking about us at all. But now thanks to you, Carly's wheels are turning a mile a minute.
Dani: I just don't understand why you were there with her when you knew I was waiting.
Craig: I had my reasons.
Dani: I'll bet you did.
Craig: Not what you think. I need to re-establish myself in this town. Reconnect with people that I used to know.
Dani: That better be it.
Craig: Are you threatening me?
Dani: No, of course not.
Craig: Good. Then watch your sexy little mouth. Because if you blow this, Dani, I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life.
Dani: Oh, I won't blow it, Craig.
Craig: And stop checking up on me.
Dani: I wasnít. I actually had information that I thought would be of interest to you. But obviously, it's not.
Craig: Oh, now, don't play games with me. You don't have to be jealous of Carly. Or anybody else, okay? Okay. What's so important?
Dani: Well, I saw Brad Snyder at Yoís and he's asking a lot of questions.
Craig: Did it seem like he knows anything?
Dani: Not yet.
Craig: Then let him ask all the questions he wants. As long as Spencer stays out of sight, there's no way Brad can prove he was set up. ...
Meg: Yeah, I think they're just Braxton hicks, but I just wanted to make sure.
Dr. Schiller: Good idea. Let's go inside and take a look.
Meg: Okay. Paul, I don't want you coming in.
Paul: She's my daughter, too.
Dr. Schiller: I thought we were doing everything necessary to avoid stress?
Paul: Okay. I'll be right here when you get out. I'll give you a ride home.
Meg: I'll find somebody else.
Paul: I'm not leaving.
Dr. Schiller: Paul, don't make me call security up here. You can call me later for the results.
Josie: I don't want anything from you, or from Paul, or from anybody else.
Dusty: Yeah, I got that. But you do need to get resettled, don't you --
Josie: You don't know what I need.
Dusty: Then, why are you telling me?
Josie: I want what you have right here. A place that feels like home. Where people care if you're alive or dead.
Dusty: I care about you.
Josie: Not enough to want me in your life.
Dusty: I don't know what I want.
Josie: You wanted me once. Why can't we get back to that?
Dusty: I wouldn't know where to start.
Josie: How about dinner? I'll buy if you float me a loan.
Dusty: Why don't you let me pay for this one?
Josie: Is that a yes?
Dusty: But no promises.
Josie: Good enough.
Dusty: And no more lies.
Barbara: What happened?
Paul: Nothing good.
Barbara: You saw Josie?
Paul: Oh, yeah, I saw her.
Barbara: Offered her more money?
Paul: She doesn't want it.
Barbara: Well, she's got to want something.
Paul: If she does, she's not telling me.
Barbara: We've got to figure what she wants --
Paul: There is nothing to figure out, okay? It's over. It's done. There's nothing else to figure out.
Barbara: You can't just give up on your daughter. Your wife. They're your whole life, Paul.
Paul: I know that. But there's nothing I can do about this, Mom --
Barbara: Well, you got to keep trying.
Paul: No, she was there. She was with Dusty. She saw me with Josie.
Barbara: Who -- who? Meg --
Paul: Everything I do backfires -- it's like I just -- keep digging deeper and deeper hole.
Barbara: I hate seeing you like this.
Paul: Yeah -- yeah, you and me both.
Barbara: So we've got to figure out what we can do.
Paul: You know, Mom, I love you. You really want to help me? Just leave me alone.
Meg: Well, thank you again for driving me home.
Dr. Schiller: It was right on my way and you were my last patient.
Meg: And also thank you for seeing me on such short notice.
Dr. Schiller: Don't be silly. Any time you have any concern, you call me.
Meg: Okay, I will. Are you sure everything's okay?
Dr. Schiller: Everything's fine. It was Braxton hicks, just like you thought.
Meg: I'm sorry. I don't mean to be a drama queen.
Dr. Schiller: From what I've seen, you're a -- you have inhuman resilience.
Meg: Thank you.
Dr. Schiller: Good-night, Meg.
Meg: Did you hear that, Eliza? We're going to be okay.
Katie: I came here to tell Craig to stay away from Brad and me.
Carly: Why? When you were the one who kept him out of jail?
Katie: I just told the truth.
Carly: That you were with Craig so he couldn't have planted the bomb in Paulís car. Why did you keep that to yourself for so long?
Katie: What are you getting at, Carly?
Carly: Nothing. I'm just curious. As a friend.
Katie: Whose friend exactly?
Katie: Okay. Well, then as a friend, I'm asking you to let it go.
Carly: What's going on, Katie?
Katie: I already told you.
Carly: Why are you willing to lie for your brother?
Katie: I'm not lying.
Carly: Take it from the expert, you're no good at it.
Katie: I've got to go.
Carly: What does he have on you?
Brad: Hi, Craig.
Craig: What a nice surprise. Though I tend to invite my guests.
Brad: Why be formal? We're family now.
Craig: Of course. My new brother-in-law.
Brad: Yeah, I think it's about time that we had a talk.
Craig: Sounds delightful. But this really isn't a good time for me.
Brad: Well, it's perfect for me.
Craig: And you sound like a man who doesn't know how to take a hint. Fine. You start. I really have no idea what you need to talk about.
Brad: Okay, how about your sister? My wife. And what you got her into.
Craig: Now I really have no idea what you want to talk about.
Brad: I think you do. And I'm not leaving until I find out.
On the next "As the World Turns" --
Luke: You're gay and you're too scared to admit it.
Craig: What are you doing, Dani?
Dani: Trying to decide whether I'm going to leave you or kill you.
Brad: I was upstairs, had a little chat with your brother.
Katie: What did he say?
Brad: I know everything.
Craig: I'm about to either get killed or get lucky.
