Brad: What are you doing out here? The freedom party is in the other room.
Katie: I'm writing down what we need to do next.
Brad: Baby, what I have in mind does not involve pen and paper --
Katie: That's not what I'm talking about.
Brad: Ssh, shh. No more talking, just doing.
Katie: I'm talking about the show.
Brad: The show?
Katie: Yes. I want "Oakdale Now" to be better than ever when we get back.
Brad: Well, I mean, it might not be that easy, you know, just to jump right back into things.
Katie: Why not?
Brad: There's a lot of unanswered questions, where Spencerís concerned.
Katie: Questions for the police, not us.
Brad: Well, I'm sorry. I mean, there's just a lot of stuff that does not add up for me.
Brad: Okay, like where is she, for starters? Why did she target us? Where's that suitcase full of money that she had?
Katie: Why does that even matter anymore?
Brad: Hello? I was falsely accused of a murder that never happened.
Katie: Yes, but everybody knows that Spencer was the one who set you up.
Brad: But see, that's -- that's just it. It wasn't just her. There was someone else involved here.
Katie: Someone like who?
Brad: Hey, remember that actor who delivered the music box to Spencer? Whoever paid him is still out there. I damn well want to know who he is.
Dani: Why are you getting dressed? We have so much time to make up for.
Craig: Priorities, Sweetheart.
Dani: Well, you are my only priority.
Craig: Am I?
Dani: You say that as though you don't believe me.
Craig: Tell me something, Dani.
Craig: How would you prioritize all that time you spent chasing young Dr. Hughes? Oh, you didn't think I knew how you kept yourself entertained?
Dani: Now, Craig, don't be mad --
Craig: I'm not mad. I'm amused.
Dani: Oh, amused?
Craig: Now you would think that your attempted dalliance with doctor boy would make me jealous.
Dani: Well, I didn't do it to make you jealous. Although, if I did, I would be willing to make it up to you. Fine, fine. Okay. You want to know why I went after Chris? Because I wanted everyone here to think I was available.
Craig: And available you were --
Dani: Thought you said you weren't jealous. Craig, isn't that what you wanted? For everyone to trust me? To think that I had nothing to hide?
Craig: In particular, a relationship with me.
Dani: Exactly. And it worked didn't it? I mean, my job at the police station is proof of that. No one ever suspected I was playing both sides.
Craig: I never said it wasn't a job well done on your part. You deserve to be congratulated.
Dani: So congratulate me. There's only one side I'm on, baby. And it is yours.
Meg: What do you think you're doing?
Paul: Getting dressed and getting out of here.
Meg: Really? Nobody told me.
Paul: What? I'm fine. I don't want to be here.
Meg: See that bandage? It's covering a bullet wound. You're not fine.
Paul: I'm going to be okay, as soon as I get home, and I can spend some time with the two of you.
Meg: Well you know what? We're here right now, so you can relax. So get yourself back into bed.
Paul: Look, it's not like this is the first time I've been shot. Don't you think I know when I'm well enough to be released? If nothing else, my stupid jokes proves I'm well.
Meg: No, all it proves is that the antibiotics are working.
Paul: Kiss me? See? Can't you tell I'm all better?
Meg: You are unrelenting.
Paul: You bring it out in me. Please, take me home with you.
Meg: Okay. Look, I will talk to your doctors. And if they say that it's okay, then you can go. Okay?
Paul: I love you.
Meg: I won't put up a fight. I love you too. Now come on, sit down.
Paul: Okay, anything you say.
Meg: I'm going to hold you to that, you know.
Paul: So, have you heard anything? About Dusty?
Meg: No. The police haven't been able to find him yet.
Paul: Are they even looking for him? He did try to kill me.
Meg: Look, you don't need to worry. They'll catch up with him.
Paul: Really? The Oakdale PD couldn't find a cruller in a doughnut shop.
Meg: Listen to me. Dusty is not going to get away with what he's done. Not this time.
Bonnie: Why did you want to come here? The club's not even open.
Derek: Yeah, well, I guess I'll do anything for a Metro club sandwich.
Bonnie: Wow. You want me to cook for you, huh?
Derek: I didn't say that. Will you give me a chance here?
Bonnie: Yes, okay. Okay. I'm not being fair. I'm very sorry. So do you want that on wheat or rye? And I'm sure that you want that to go, all right? So --
Derek: Would you stop? Look -- I'm serious about wanting to get back on track but I need to know, is that something that you're interested in, too?
Bonnie: Yes -- yes, it is.
Derek: Good. I'm glad we're on the same page. And for the record -- I was planning on cooking the sandwiches.
Bonnie: Well, that's good. You won't hear an argument from me. This dress is much too nice to be in the kitchen anyways, isn't it?
Derek: True, true. Now, the reason why I wanted to come here today is because -- I want it to be like the first time we met.
Bonnie: That is kind of romantic.
Derek: Yes. You know, there is one thing I regret about that day.
Bonnie: What, not telling me why you were here?
Derek: No, my skeptical attorney. It's not doing this.
Bonnie: Did you hear that?
Derek: Yeah. I did.
Bonnie: Derek, what are you doing with that? Come on!
Derek: Don't worry, it's licensed.
Bonnie: That's not what I'm talking about. Are you serious?
Derek: Stay here. I'll check it out.
Bonnie: Derek, be careful. Are you all right, Derek? Should I call the police?
Bonnie: Why not?
Dusty: I'm why.
Dani: Um, why did you stop? Didn't you miss me?
Craig: Oh, Dani. What man wouldn't miss your company?
Dani: You, apparently.
Craig: I just more pressing issues on my mind.
Dani: Oh, yeah? More pressing than this?
Craig: Oh, now, now, now. There's a few loose ends that I need to tie up before I can walk the streets of Oakdale a free man.
Dani: Oh, I can't wait. It'll be so nice to finally be seen in public with you.
Craig: Yeah, I'm not sure we should do anything prematurely.
Dani: I thought you said when you got here, things were going to change.
Craig: And they will. Soon. You just need to be patient.
Dani: I have been patient, Craig.
Craig: And you have. You're right. You're right. You've been amazing. But I think if we go public too soon, all of your good work would be lost.
Dani: Oh, really? How so?
Craig: If anyone were to discover that you were connected to me, it wouldn't take them long, for them to dig around in your background and to discover your link to Spencer. Now, you wouldn't want to take that risk, would you?
Dani: No. She's really gone? She's not going to come back and cause trouble for us, is she?
Craig: Trust me, Sweetheart. Spencer is enjoying the fruits of her labor, far, far away.
Dani: Well, she'd better be.
Craig: I'm just trying to protect us. You can see that, can't you?
Dani: Yeah -- yeah, I suppose.
Craig: Good girl.
Dani: So, what are you going to do next? What's your next move?
Craig: I'm going to make sure that my little sister keeps up her end of the bargain. I just got Katieís husband out of jail. She owes me. It's time to pay up.
Brad: Oh. Oh, you think that you can seduce me into shutting up?
Katie: Is it working?
Brad: Hold that thought.
Margo: Brad, yes.
Brad: So did you find Spencer?
Margo: No. But the Chicago P.D. is on that.
Brad: Thank you for the update.
Margo: Yeah, yeah, okay. May I come in?
Margo: You two left the station so quickly, I didn't get a chance to talk to you.
Brad: Well, I mean, what else was there to say? "You're free to go" was pretty much all I needed to hear.
Margo: How about an apology?
Brad: From you?
Margo: Yeah. I said "I'm sorry" to Katie already. But I didn't get to apologize to you. And after all, you're the one who was falsely accused.
Brad: You know, there's just one thing I want to know.
Margo: What's that?
Brad: Why were you so quick to believe that I was guilty?
Margo: Because, Brad, wherever you go, trouble follows.
Bonnie: How the hell did you get in here?
Dusty: I used to run the place. I still have a key.
Bonnie: You've got to be kidding me. Come on.
Dusty: What are you doing?
Bonnie: I'm calling the police.
Derek: I told you, you don't need to do that.
Bonnie: You told me? Derek, the police are looking for Dusty because he shot Paul Ryan.
Bonnie: Well good for you. You can tell that to the police.
Derek: Bonnie, hang up the phone.
Bonnie: Excuse me?
Dusty: I don't want to cause any trouble. I just needed a safe place to think some things out, you know?
Bonnie: You could do a lot of thinking in a jail cell.
Derek: Bonnie, he's asking for some time. We can at least give him that.
Bonnie: I will not harbor a fugitive in my club.
Dusty: Technically, it's not really your club, is it?
Bonnie: I'm not the one to argue technicalities with. And I cannot believe that you would even offer to help him!
Derek: I work for the man.
Bonnie: Well, quit. You've gotten in enough trouble with the law, haven't you? And why -- what, you want more?
Derek: Incidentally, the whole thing, it was a setup.
Bonnie: What, Paul set you up to shoot him?
Dusty: Well, he hired someone to play with my mind. When I confronted him, he lost it.
Bonnie: Lost it how?
Dusty: He pulled a gun on me.
Bonnie: And shot himself?
Dusty: No. I took it away from him.
Bonnie: Just in time to pull the trigger.
Derek: Ease up, Bonnie.
Dusty: He charged me with an axe. That's when I shot him.
Bonnie: An axe? Wow!
Dusty: Bonnie, you were Jen's best friend. I'm just asking you to help me out here.
Dusty: Any way you can.
Bonnie: Okay, okay. If you did do this in self-defense, I'll represent you. But I will not hide you from the police. Dusty, you want my services, you've got to turn yourself in.
Dusty: Derek's got to do something for me first.
Bonnie: Oh, this gets better and better --
Dusty: You have a relationship with Meg. I need you to convince her to come and see me.
Bonnie: Are you out of your mind?
Dusty: After I talk to Meg, I'll turn myself in.
Brad: Well, I mean, if this is an apology, I've heard better.
Margo: Oh, con you've got to understand, this was a really hard case.
Brad: Well, try being falsely accused of murder, Margo.
Margo: Look, you're family. I had to go by the book. And you think I liked putting you both through this? I didn't, and I felt terrible. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I am very, very sorry.
Brad: Apology accepted.
Margo: Oh, okay. Thank you.
Brad: I know I haven't given you reasons to believe in me.
Margo: No, you haven't. You're married to my sister. And Katie, I love you and I worry about you. And I just don't ever want to see her get hurt.
Brad: Well, that's the last thing I want too, Margo. You've got to know that by now. She's the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me. I would never do anything to hurt her.
Margo: Okay. Great. Well, I've said what I wanted to say. And that's it. So I'll go now. Good-bye.
Katie: Thanks, Margo.
Margo: Sure. Good-bye.
Brad: You know I meant every word I said?
Katie: I know.
Katie: I do. Brad, you know I'm not perfect.
Brad: I know nothing of the kind, wife-of-mine.
[Cell phone ringing]
Katie: I'll get it. I'll get it. Hello?
Craig: I hope I'm not interrupting anything.
Katie: Actually, you are.
Craig: Too bad.
Brad: Who's on the phone?
Craig: Tell him it's the studio.
Katie: The studio.
Brad: Do they want me?
Brad: Okay. I'm going to take a shower. Count to 20, and be there by 17.
Katie: What do you want?
Craig: I think it's time we got our stories straight.
Paul: I can walk, you know.
Meg: You need to go upstairs and lie down.
Paul: Oh, yeah? Shouldn't I be saying that to you?
Meg: The baby and I are fine. It's you I'm worried about.
Paul: I am great. I'm here with you. And our baby. Okay, I know better than to argue.
Meg: Good, you'd better. Do you need help upstairs?
Paul: Yeah, well I need some help when get upstairs. We still have to decorate that tree, you know?
Meg: Later. First, rest.
Paul: All right.
Meg: You know, the word rest means that you're supposed -- Derek.
Derek: Hope it's okay. The maid let me in. I heard about Paul. How is he doing?
Meg: Better. They released him from the hospital. He just went upstairs. Thank you for coming by and checking on him.
Derek: Yeah, yeah. Well, that's not the only reason I came by. I brought a message. From Dusty.
Margo: Hey, is there any new news on Dusty Donovan? We have an APB out on him, though. Oh, that's not going to be easy. You know, apparently, he can fake his own death and disappear for up to a year. But this time, it's going to be different. I would actually like to make an arrest for someone trying to kill Paul Ryan.
Craig: Hi, Sis. I know -- you're not sure whether you should hit me or kiss me.
Margo: Oh, Craig. How about we split the difference, and I arrest you?
Meg: You didn't just ask me to go with you to see Dusty --
Derek: Meg, he really wants to talk to you.
Meg: He tried to kill Paul!
Derek: I wasn't here. And I don't know exactly what happened. But Dusty claims that it was in self-defense.
Meg: Yeah, I don't care what he claims. I know what happened and who's responsible. Where is he?
Derek: I can't tell you that.
Meg: If you don't tell me where he is, you're going to be an accessory to attempted murder. Is that what you want?
Derek: I'll take my chances.
Meg: Dusty's has you completely fooled. Just like he wants you, you know, I feel sorry for you --
Derek: Meg, that's not --
Meg: Forget it! I am not going anywhere with you. Especially not on orders from Dusty Donovan.
Derek: Meg, please reconsider.
Meg: Give me one good reason why I should.
Derek: Because Dusty really cares about you.
Meg: Oh, is that why he shot my husband? Because he cares so much about me?
Derek: Come with me, and ask him. You owe it to yourself to at least hear him out?
Margo: So, you're telling me you had nothing to do with Paul Ryanís car bombing last February?
Craig: Not a thing. My hands are clean.
Margo: Uh-huh. And your conscience?
Craig: Even cleaner.
Margo: Wow. Well, let me just jog your memory then, Craig. Let's see her. "I truly wanted Paul dead. But I want you to understand why I did what I did. The truth is, Paul and Meg tortured me so Paul had to pay the price. If I had the chance, I'd do it again if Paul wouldn't survive." Now if that's not a confession, I don't know what is.
Craig: Yeah, normally I would agree with you, except for one minor thing.
Margo: What's that?
Craig: That wasn't a confession.
Margo: Craig --
Craig: No. Margo, that was nothing more than my wounded pride talking.
Margo: Oh, your pride talks?
Craig: Paul and Meg made me look like a fool. My wife and that -- lunatic. Now, I wanted Paul dead, I won't deny that. But I had nothing to do with that car bomb.
Margo: Then who did?
Craig: You got me.
Margo: Well, yes, I do.
Craig: Margo, I'm innocent.
Margo: Oh, Craig. If you're so innocent, how come you kind of, sort of take responsibility for something you didn't do?
Craig: I saw an opportunity to save a little face. What, you don't have flaws? All right, look -- I had a lead on Johnny. I thought it was solid. So I was leaving town anyway. And I figured, what the hell? I'm never going to come back here again. So why don't I just go out with a little glory?
Margo: Oh, what are you? A showgirl? Get up. You're under arrest.
Craig: Margo, you can't arrest me.
Margo: Why not?
Craig: Because I have an alibi.
Margo: Who the hell would stand up for you?
Craig: Our sweet little baby sister.
Brad: I missed you in the shower.
Katie: I'm sorry.
Brad: Are you okay?
Katie: Yeah, I'm fine.
Brad: You seemed like you were a million miles away right now.
Katie: No, I'm right here with you.
[Cell phone ringing]
Brad: You are miss popular today.
Katie: Brad, I'll get it.
Brad: Katie's phone.
Margo: Hi, Brad, it's Margo. Is Katie there?
Brad: Yeah, Margo. She's right here.
Katie: Hey. What's up?
Margo: Katie, I have a bit of a situation here. Can you come down to the station?
Katie: Right now?
Margo: I'll explain everything when you get here.
Brad: What did she want?
Katie: I don't know, I -- she just needs to talk to me at the station.
Brad: What, about Spencer?
Katie: No, no. I don't think so.
Brad: Well, either way, I'm coming with you.
Katie: No, Brad. No, listen. You have been there enough lately.
Brad: No, no, no, no. Listen to me, listen to me. You're my wife. I love you. You stood by me, I'm going to stand by you. Okay?
Dusty: Would you give us a minute?
Derek: Yeah, sure.
Dusty: I'm glad you came.
Dusty: Meg --
Meg: You put a bullet in husband and you left him for dead. And now, you have the nerve to send Derek to come fetch me?
Dusty: I know you're angry.
Meg: I am more than angry. I'm done.
Dusty: I want you to know what happened.
Meg: I already know what happened.
Dusty: Whatever Paul told you, it's a lie.
Meg: Paul is my husband. And you can go to hell.
Dusty: Unlike your husband, I'll actually tell you the truth.
Meg: Do you really think that going to work? You dangle the word "truth" in front of me, and I'm supposed to buy into whatever you say?
Dusty: You know me, Meg. You know I wouldn't to lie to you.
Meg: Really, why? Because you're so noble? You shot a man.
Dusty: I didn't set out to --
Meg: You didn't even care if my daughter grew up without her father. That is the truth.
Dusty: I didn't want to shoot Paul, and that's the truth.
Meg: Oh, really? Then why did you fire the gun?
Dusty: Well, when someone's trying to kill you, you do what you have to do.
Meg: Oh, please.
Dusty: He was trying to kill me. You don't remember what I told you?
Meg: Yeah, something about an axe?
Dusty: Yeah, that's right. I tried to stop him. He snapped.
Meg: You know, if anybody snapped, I think that was you. After you found out how badly Josie had tricked you.
Dusty: Yeah, why not take it out on Paul, right? Since he set the whole thing up.
Meg: That is not true.
Dusty: Yeah, he fed her information. Intimate details about me and Jennifer, about our life together.
Meg: Why would he do something like that?
Dusty: I don't know, so Josie could manipulate me. He used his sister's memory -- my wife. He used her!
Meg: No -- he wouldn't do anything like that.
Dusty: Yes. And then he coached Josie to have visions of my son. I almost chased down a false lead to Norway.
Meg: I'm sorry you had to go through that. I am. It was horrible and cruel. But Paul is not responsible.
Dusty: Why are you so sure?
Meg: Because he told me he wasn't, and I believe him.
Dusty: Well, now that you know what really happened -- look at me and tell me you believe him instead of me.
Margo: Oh, hi. I'm sorry to drag you back down here so soon.
Katie: What's going on?
Brad: What do you want talk to Katie about? I mean, is it about Spencer?
Margo: No, no. Interrogation room.
Brad: Wait a minute, wait a minute. Okay, she's not being arrested or something?
Margo: No, nothing like that.
Brad: Okay, well then I'm coming in.
Katie: No, no. Brad, donít.
Brad: No, I'm coming in.
Margo: It's okay. I think he should. Listen, heads up -- brace yourselves.
Brad: Holy crap.
Katie: Oh, my God.
Craig: It's good to see you too, Katie. You look beautiful as always. And Brad -- husband number four, is it?
Craig: Lucky number -- this one could stick.
Katie: I don't understand. What is he doing here?
Margo: Oh, he just shows up, like the bad penny he is.
Katie: Well why did you call me? I don't want see him.
Craig: Your own brother? I'll cut to the quick.
Craig: Is this really how you're going to talk to me after all this time?
Katie: No. I'm not going to talk to you at all. Whatever little family reunion you thought you'd have here, I don't want to be a part of it.
Margo: Ah -- you were brought down here as part of an official investigation.
Katie: What investigation?
Margo: The attempted murder of Paul Ryan.
Brad: What could Katie possibly have to do with that? The paper says Dusty Donovan shot him.
Margo: Not -- not that one. Now, Craig claims that he was with you when Paul Ryanís car was bombed earlier this year. Katie, is that true? Are you his alibi?
James: Paul, wake up. Wake up.
Paul: What are you doing here?
James: I missed you. I wanted to see you.
Paul: Well, you've seen me. Now you can go away.
James: I thought there for a moment you were going to join me on the other side.
Paul: Where, in hell? Sorry to disappoint you.
James: I've grown accustomed to it.
Paul: Look, if you came all this way just to belittle me --
James: No, no, no, no, no. No, no. You know, actually I was very impressed with what you've managed to pull off. Yeah absolutely. You were great. You got rid of Dustin. It's what I've been trying to get you to do all along.
Paul: Hey, maybe you were right. Just this once. Don't let it go to your head.
James: And you executed it almost perfectly -- well, except for the bullet hole in your chest.
Paul: I'll heal.
James: And Meg? She believes you? She believes that Dustin was trying to kill you?
Paul: She'll never going to believe Dusty's word over mine.
James: You must be very pleased with yourself.
Paul: Well, it didn't go exactly the way I wanted it do. I mean, Josie was supposed to get rid of Dusty. Not confess everything in a moment of weakness, but --
James: She's a woman. Still, things are working in your favor.
Paul: Yeah. Dusty behind bars for attempted murder, that's a definite highlight.
James: Indeed it is.
Paul: So -- you approve?
James: Absolutely. You know, I think maybe you are my son after all.
Meg: I don't have to prove to you who I trust.
Dusty: Tell me -- how did Josie know all those intimate details about my life with Jennifer, if Paul wasn't feeding her information?
Meg: Paul didn't have anything to do with it. He already knew Josie was a fraud from the very beginning.
Dusty: Yeah, because he hired her. Get it? Josie told me the whole story.
Meg: No -- looking for a scapegoat. And Paul is the easiest person for you to blame.
Dusty: You're not listening. Your mind's already made up.
Meg: You're surprised?
Dusty: I'm disappointed that you don't want to see the truth.
Meg: I'm not interested in your truth anymore, Dusty. The bottom line is, you shot my husband. There is no justification for that. And no matter what you say, it won't change what you've done.
Dusty: I am still your friend.
Meg: No -- you're not.
Margo: Katie, it's a pretty simple question. Either you were with Craig, or you werenít. Which is it?
Katie: I was with him.
Margo: Uh-huh. On the day he left town?
Katie: Yes, that's the last time I saw him.
Margo: Uh-huh. And when did you see him?
Katie: In the afternoon.
Margo: You're sure about that?
Katie: Yes, yes. We had a break in shooting. You can check the studio records, if you want.
Margo: Well, I most certainly will. So how did you two meet up?
Katie: Well, Craig called and he'd said he wanted to see me. I didn't want to at first.
Margo: What changed your mind? Katie, what changed your mind?
Katie: Bonnie came by the studio and wanted to see Brad. So I didn't want to sit around watching them. So I told Craig I would see him.
Margo: Where? About?
Katie: There wasn't really a lot of talk. We mostly argued.
Margo: About what?
Katie: Craig said that he was thinking about leaving town.
Margo: Did he tell you why?
Katie: He said that he had a lead on Johnny. And if he found him, he was never going to come back.
Margo: Oh. And what did you have to say about that?
Katie: I told him it was a mistake, that he should just leave Lucy and Johnny alone.
Margo: And what did he have to say about that?
Katie: Well, Craig said that I can barely take care of myself or hold on to a husband. So what could I possibly know about the bond between a parent and a child?
Katie: He walked off and I never saw him again.
Margo: That is amazing. That is exactly what Craig told me happened. And you know what? I didn't believe his story anymore than I believe yours.
Katie: Why don't you believe me?
Margo: Because this is the first time I'm hearing about this little encounter in the park.
Margo: Didn't you tell me about it before? When you knew that our brother was a prime suspect in Paul Ryanís car bombing. Why didn't you tell me that day? Or the day after that, or the day after that? Or any day between then and now? It just doesn't make sense, Katie.
Katie: Well really, Margo, what did you expect me to say?
Margo: Excuse me?
Katie: I mean, what good would it have done? Craig and I got in a fight. No big deal, nothing unusual about that.
Margo: You would have cleared his name if you had told me.
Katie: Well, I was angry and hurt -- and I didn't really feel like jumping to his defense at the time.
Margo: So, it was perfectly all right you that our brother remained a suspect in a crime, just because you were mad at him?
Katie: Well, he was gone. He'd left town. He said he was never coming back. I thought he meant it.
Margo: You know, I might buy that if you were, like, 12 years old.
Katie: Margo, if he would have come back to town, I would've come forward -- just like I'm doing right now. Wow, this is unbelievable. Actually, no, it's really not.
Margo: Why? What are you talking about?
Katie: You. Going on and on and on about being sorry for not believing me about Spencer, when my husband was in jail for a couple of days for no reason.
Margo: Katie, this is completely different.
Katie: I don't see how. You don't believe me now.
Margo: I apologize. I said I was sorry. I meant it.
Katie: Prove it. Believe me now. You know I have no reason to lie. You know that.
Margo: Fine. Fine, Katie. I will take you at your word.
Meg: What are you doing up? I thought you were supposed to be resting.
Paul: I thought you were supposed to come up to keep me company.
Meg: I'm sorry. I dropped off your prescription
Paul: Oh. Do me a favor?
Paul: Turn off the light.
Meg: Turn off the lights? Okay. Oh, my God -- Paul, it's beautiful.
Paul: There's just one thing
Meg: I would love that. Oh. This is the best Christmas I've ever had.
Meg: Yeah. Hey, you okay?
Paul: Yeah. I'd better go lie down for a little bit, okay?
Meg: Okay. I'll be up soon. I promise. If you're looking for Dusty Donovan, he's hiding out at Metro.
Craig: Am I free to go?
Margo: Oh, yes, yes. Please, go.
Margo: You'll be back soon enough, I'm sure.
Craig: Thanks for the vote of confidence, Lieutenant.
Margo: Well Craig, I don't know how you did it, but somehow you got to Katie. And when I do find out how, you'll be sorry. Katie, finished signing your statement?
Katie: I did.
Brad: Can we go now?
Craig: Katie -- thank you.
Katie: Donít. Just stay away from me, okay? I never want to see you again.
Dani: Hey, Margo.
Margo: Dani, I thought this was your day off.
Dani: Yeah, I just came by to pick up my paycheck. Oh, my God -- Craig.
Craig: Dani. It's nice to see you again.
Dani: I can't believe it's really you.
Margo: I can't believe you really care.
Dani: Well, of course, I do. Craig was like a second father to me growing up. How are you?
Craig: I'm very well, thank you.
Cop #2: We just got a tip on Donovanís whereabouts.
Margo: Oh, tell Stevens to meet me there.
Craig: What the hell do you think you're doing?
Bonnie: Okay. You've seen Meg. It's time to turn yourself in.
Derek: Bonnie -- no. Dusty, you agreed.
Dusty: I just need a minute. I thought if I got through to Meg, she'd see what really happened.
Bonnie: Yeah, but you didnít.
Dusty: No, no, I didnít.
Bonnie: Okay, well, you need to make a decision now.
Derek: Well, if you're thinking about leaving the country, I may be able to help. I can call.
Bonnie: Oh, the hell you will.
Dusty: Its okay, I'm not running.
Margo: Damn straight, you're not. Dusty Donovan, you're under arrest for the attempted murder of Paul Ryan.
Brad: Why didn't you tell me you were with Craig the day he skipped town?
Margo: Are you harboring a fugitive?
Bonnie: I'm not harboring anyone.
Margo: So Donovan just stopped by for a beer on off hours?
Dusty: Bonnie's my lawyer. She was telling me to turn myself in.
Margo: Is that so?
Bonnie: Yes. It is.
Margo: That's very good advice for your client. Let's get him out of here.
Cop #2: Yes, Lieutenant.
Bonnie: Dusty, I'll be down there as soon as I can. Do not say anything until I get there, please.
Derek: You okay?
Bonnie: I'll be fine.
Derek: Yeah, well, I'm glad you're taking Dustyís case. You're good. You're exactly what he needs right now. I'm just sorry our date didn't work out as I planned.
Bonnie: Maybe that's for the best.
Derek: Why would you say that?
Bonnie: Derek, you keep saying that you want to change your life, that you want to start fresh. How are you going to do that if you keep falling into all of these old patterns?
Derek: No, that's not what's happening here.
Bonnie: No, I saw you Derek. I watched you offer to Dusty an opportunity to flee the country. I mean, what were you thinking?
Derek: I'm thinking that Dustyís a friend. And that he's been good to me.
Bonnie: Okay, so once he gets his butt into trouble and you are there trying to help, you're going to be in the jail cell right next to him. And you already have a rap sheet. So the chances of getting you out of that cell are about a million to one. Is that what you want?
Derek: No, of course it's not.
Bonnie: All right. Derek, you know what I don't want?
Bonnie: I don't want to -- I don't want to have feelings for someone that I could lose.
Paul: There you are.
Meg: Here I am.
Paul: I'm a lucky guy.
Meg: I'm lucky, too.
Paul: When I think about how close I came to missing this Christmas with you and the baby --
Meg: It's okay --
Paul: No, it's not okay. If I weren't here right now, holding you --
Meg: Yeah, but you know what? You are. And we're going to have so many Christmases together. Years of decorating trees and hanging stockings. Just you, me and our little girl. Do you know how happy you've made me?
Paul: I have?
Meg: And not just because of the baby. But because I have never believed in you -- or loved you as much as I do right now.
Brad: Katie, we made a promise. You know, no more secrets. Like, I meant that. Did you?
Katie: You know I did.
Brad: Okay. So tell me, please. Why was today the first time I heard about your fight with your brother?
Katie: It's not like I was keeping a secret from you.
Brad: Yeah, but you didn't tell me about it.
Katie: There was nothing to tell. It was a bad situation that I wanted to forget. And at the time, you and I weren't together. When we were, I didn't even think of saying it. There was no reason to bring it up. It never crossed my mind.
Brad: Okay. Well, I just hate seeing you like this. You know, just upset and everything.
Katie: Well, that's what Craig does to me. He makes me upset!
Brad: All right, well you --
Katie: So can we please not talk about it anymore?
Brad: You just say the word, and I'll make sure he leaves you alone.
Katie: No, no, no, no, no! Please don't go anywhere near him. Promise me.
Brad: Okay, okay. All right. I won't go near the guy.
Katie: I mean it, promise me.
Brad: I promise.
Katie: Good. 'Cause I love you. I love you so much.
Brad: I love you too.
Katie: So lets just forget about him and focus on us. Focus on our future.
Craig: I asked you to keep your distance --
Dani: This is where I work. It's okay for me to be here.
Craig: Really? Is that why Margo asked you why you showed up? You need to play this smart, Dani.
Dani: I am --
Craig: I thought I could count on you.
Dani: Craig, you can. I swear.
Craig: Then you need to follow through when I tell you to do something. Do you understand?
Craig: Good. Go. Go.
Craig: Look what my sister just dragged in.
Dusty: What are you doing here?
Margo: Craig, now is not the time. You're free, take advantage of it.
Craig: No problem. But it is ironic, isn't it? They just cleared me of trying to murder Paul -- and you come in, charged with the same thing. It's funny how things work.
Next week on "As the World Turns" --
Dusty: It's no good for us, Josie.
Josie: Are you sure?
Meg: I'm afraid of you, Paul. I can't let you near my child.
Luke: If you ever come onto me again, I will tell her everything.
Janet: If she wants to make a move, let her.
Katie: We just agreed there's no reason to trust her.
Janet: But I trust Jack.
