Margo: Tom? Don't!

Rick: It doesn't look like you've left yourself much room to negotiate, Lieutenant. Your husband's heart seems to be falling down on the job.

Margo: You want to cut a deal, you make the first concession.

Rick: Which is?

Margo: Tom, who needs medical attention now. I consider nothing 'til then.

Rick: Done. I'd say he's in cardiac distress. He needs oxygen. He's suffering from an elevated heart rate, and he's breathing heavy. I'd put him on a monitor and give him an aspirin.

Margo: That's right, and you're a funnyman.

Rick: Do I look amused? No. I want you to make sure that there's a helicopter waiting for me. I'll forego the money. I'm sure it was marked, anyway. And I want free and clear passage out of here. No police, no FBI interference.

Margo: You don't ask much, do you?

Rick: Just see that I get it, because if you don't come through for me, you will be responsible for killing your husband. In fact, you're gonna kill everyone in this room.

Rick: Tick tock, Lieutenant. Time's wasting.

Paul: Margo, what are you waiting for? Call the helicopter back!

Margo: Not until Tom gets help.

Paul: You're gonna get everybody in there killed!

Chris: Paul, shut up!

Casey: Dad?

Tom: Casey, I'm --

Casey: What's wrong with my dad?

Margo: Casey, don't worry. Stay calm.

Meg: I'm gonna loosen his tie to clear his airway so he can get more oxygen.

Rick: All right, get back! That's enough!

Casey: Dad!

Meg: Its okay, Casey.

Rick: Your husband has gotten all the medical attention he's going to get. I've held up my side of the deal. It's your turn now.

Bob: Susan? Susan, open your eyes. Susan? I need help in here! Susan?

Kim: Bob?! Oh, my word! What happened?

Bob: Rick Decker.

Rick: How much longer are you gonna make these people wait, Lieutenant?

Paul: Margo, would you make the phone call?

Margo: You are not in charge here.

Paul: You don't seem to be in charge, either.

Margo: I'm cleaning up the mess that you made. You're the one who brought Decker here. That's why these people are being held hostage. So you stay out of it!

Chris: Margo, just let him go. I've got the antidote. We don't need Decker.

[Tom groaning]

Margo: Tom!

Meg: You're supposed to be a doctor! Please, you need to help him!

Rick: That's up to Margo now. So, what's it going to be? Huh? Are you gonna let me go and save a handful of people, or are you going to keep me here and watch them all die? I'm waiting for your answer, Lieutenant.

Paul: Margo, make the call!

Margo: Back off. Just back off. Chris, are you sure that your antidote works?

Chris: Yes. I tested it on myself.

Rick: Stop stalling, Lieutenant! You're about to lose your husband.

Emily: No!

Casey: Emily!

Rick: Would you like to lose your son, as well?

Margo: Casey.

Rick: This is all your fault.

[Gun cocks]

[Aaron jumps down from the air duct in the ceiling]

[Gunshot] [Decker shots Aaron in the chest] [Aaron falls]

Meg: Aaron? Aaron, talk to me.

Rick: Get back, Mrs. Ryan!

Paul: Meg, just do what he says.

Rick: Now, I hope I've made myself clear that I mean business.

Margo: Yes, you have.

Rick: Now, this young man was an unforeseen victim -- one that neither of us expected. So, in the interest of fairness, I'll let you pick the next victim. Your beloved husband or your precious son. You decide.

Margo: That won't be necessary. I've already made my decision.

Nurse: Her pressure's still dropping.

Bob: What is it now?

Nurse: 60 over 30. Dr. Hughes, look!

Kim: What is it?

Bob: Track mark. Decker injected the poison directly into Susanís system. Chris is working on an antidote. We need it now.

Nurse 2: The security guard, the one we found unconscious, he's been revived.

Bob: Page Dr. Chris Hughes immediately, stat.

Nurse 2: That might not be possible.

Bob: Why not?

Nurse 2: We have a situation.

Margo: You've got clearance to land in the parking lot, and you can depart when Dr. Decker is onboard. The airspace has been restricted to everyone except you. Wherever he wants you to go.

[Grunts]

Aaron: Ali? Ali?

Alison: Aaron? What are -- are you sick, too?

Aaron: Look at me. It's okay. You're gonna be okay. We both are.

Margo: Your helicopter will be here in three minutes.

Rick: Good work.

Margo: Now, you let me get my husband to a doctor.

Rick: As soon as I'm out of here, he's all yours. Come on, my darling. I need you to get up. Come on.

Chris: No! What are you doing? No!

Rick: What do you think I'm doing? I'm taking her with me.

Emily: No! No, that was not part of the deal!

Rick: It's part of the deal. You think I'm gonna walk out of here without any insurance?

Emily: Please, just, you can't take her. Look at her. She's so weak. You're never gonna get far with her. Just take me.

Rick: Thank you for the offer, Emily, but -- that was very sweet, but I need to take someone that people really care about. You, I don't think so. Okay, come on. Out of the way. Let's go! Move it!

Emily: No, Alison! No, Ali! Oh, God! Alison!

Rick: Call them off! Call them off!

Margo: Stand down! That's an order!

Rick: All right, let's go. Come on. Come on.

Rick: Attagirl. Very good. Come on.

[Elevator dings]

Rick: Atta girl.

Meg: Find something we can use for pressure on the wound. Hurry!

Margo: Tom! Tom, Tom, Tom. I'm right here, I'm right here. We need a doctor in here! Casey, he's okay. We're gonna fix him right up. Look at me, Tom. Look at me. Breathe.

Tom: Love you!

Margo: Oh, God. I love you, too!

Chris: Call the O.R. GSW close-range to the shoulder. He's starting to bleed out. He's gonna need chest films, EKG. Go now.

Bob: What happened?

Chris: Dad, I don't have time to explain, all right? Tom's in there with a possible M.I. this is the antidote. Take it. Get it to anyone who needs it. It works, okay?

Bob: Where are you going?

Chris: I'm going to save Alison!

Rick: Here we go. Excuse us. Excuse us. Thank you. Thank you. Come on.

Margo: Do you have the antidote?

Bob: Yeah.

Margo: Then you go. Go give it to them.

Meg: Just hold that there. He's bleeding too much. Bob, you should give me the shot first. That way, I can inoculate everybody else, and you can go save your son.

Bob: Okay.

[Police sirens wailing]

[Helicopter whirring]

Policeman: Dr. Decker, freeze!

Rick: Keep your distance, Cowboys. Back off, Chris! I'll shoot her! You know I will. Come on. That's it.

Paul: Feel better?

Meg: Yeah, much better. The antidote Chris came up with, it's working. I can feel it.

Paul: You stay here and get some rest, though, okay? I'll be right here by your side.

Meg: I can't.

Paul: You can't -- what, no, you can't rest?

Meg: No, no.

Paul: Where are you going?

Meg: I need to check on Aaron.

Paul: Aaron's in surgery, Meg. There's nothing you can do for him, anyway. He's gonna be fine.

Meg: Are we?

Paul: Of course. What kind of question is that? I love you.

Meg: I love you, too.

Paul: Maybe that's all we need, then. Maybe that'll get us through the rest of our lives.

Meg: I want that, too. The way I treated you, the things I said to you --

Paul: Yeah, that was the poison talking, not you. I know that.

Meg: I tried to shoot you.

Paul: Okay, so -- I don't know. Maybe, you can mow the lawn or something for the rest of your life. Front and back. And you can't ride the mower.

Meg: How can you joke about this?

Paul: How could you miss from so close, and you a farm girl? Ow! Hey, look. Hey. Even in the state you were in, you fought it the whole way. It's not like you ever wanted to hurt me.

Meg: Sofie and those visions, that just seemed so real. They kept coming back again and again. I really thought you were trying to hurt me.

Paul: I don't ever want anything to harm you. Okay? For as long as I'm drawing breath.

Meg: I know.

Paul: And Sofie? You don't need to fight anymore. She's not coming back. Hey, whoa, whoa. I thought we were, like, having a moment.

Meg: I need to check on Aaron. When he wakes up, he needs a familiar face by his side.

Paul: Meg, come on. I don't want you to push.

Meg: He's my nephew, Paul. He got shot trying to save us. I'm not gonna forget that.

Paul: I'm not gonna win this argument, am I?

Meg: No. Yeah, if there's one thing I was reminded of today, it's that nothing is more important than family.

Margo: The doctor said you're gonna be fine. The stent in your heart collapsed when you fell, but he's gonna replace it, and you'll be as good as new.

Tom: Well, good. That's what I wanted to hear.

Margo: Yeah, me, too.

Tom: You want to yell at me, don't you?

Margo: Yeah, I do. I do a little bit.

Tom: Go ahead. They got me all drugged up.

Margo: Going after Decker like that, what were you thinking?

Tom: He was holding a gun on you. I wasn't thinking. I just reacted.

Margo: You had to be a hero, huh?

Tom: Yeah. You're a hero.

Margo: Oh, Baby. You've always been my hero.

Tom: How's Case?

Margo: Meg gave him the antidote, so he'll be better soon.

Tom: Looks like we got lucky.

Margo: Yeah, we did.

Cop: Dr. Hughes, stand down!

Cop 2: Dr. Decker, freeze!

[Both grunting]

Chris: Alison? Alison, can you hear me? Can you hear me? Come on. Come on, Baby. Come on. Come on.

Chris: I need a nurse! Start a line. Get a mask on her now! Come on. Oh, no. We're losing her. Come on, hurry.

Margo: Your dad is in surgery. They're replacing the stent. And it wasn't even a heart attack.

Casey: He's gonna be okay?

Margo: Yeah, yeah. He's gonna be fine.

Emily: What about Alison?

Margo: Um, Decker -- Decker is in custody, and the S.W.A.T. team told me that Chris rescued Alison.

Emily: How is she?

Margo: I don't know. We haven't heard anything.

Casey: She's gonna be fine, just like my dad. I know everything's gonna be fine.

Chris: Give me the antidote!

Nurse: I canít.

Chris: Why not?!

Nurse: It's gone.

Chris: What do you mean "It's gone"? That's impossible. Check again! I made enough for everyone.

Nurse: Dr. Decker attacked Dr. Stewart. He injected her with the poison directly. They had to give her double the dosage.

Chris: And that used it all up. Oh, no, no. I gotta go make more. She's got to pull through this. I promised her.

Paul: You sure you don't want to sit down?

Meg: I'm fine. You know, a few more inches, and the bullet would have hit him in the chest.

Paul: He's a tough guy. He'll be fine. It seems to run in the family. You sure you don't want anything?

Meg: Can I borrow your phone? I need to call Holden. Thanks. Hey, Mama. It's Meg. No, no, I'm fine. Is Holden there? When will he be back? No. I'm gonna explain everything to you, but I need you to come down to the hospital right away. No, it's -- it's Aaron. He's been hurt.

[Alison dreaming]

Alison: Hello? Hello? Aaron, what are you doing here?

Aaron: You saw what happened.

Alison: You were in that room, too, weren't you? I don't understand. Why are we here? Where are we?

Aaron: You ask a lot of questions. You know that?

Alison: Yeah, I have control issues.

Aaron: You want a ride? Hop on.

Alison: Where are we going?

Aaron: Anywhere you want. Better?

Alison: Why can't I feel you?

Aaron: Do your best to hold on. You want something to drink?

Alison: Sure, yeah. I'll have a beer.

Aaron: Coming right up.

Alison: I feel funny. Do you feel funny?

Aaron: Funny how?

Alison: I don't know. I feel, like, a little off. You don't feel that way?

Aaron: Nope. I feel fine. Here you go.

Alison: Thanks. Wait. I can't have this.

Aaron: Sure you can. You can have anything you want.

Alison: Huh? A million dollars. Damn. Still a beer.

Aaron: I like that.

Alison: What? My lame attempt at humor?

Aaron: No. Seeing you smile, hearing you laugh. You know, you should do it more often.

Alison: I'll try, but I'm not making any promises.

Aaron: Yep. That's you -- always playing it safe.

Alison: Hey, the safe survive.

Aaron: Not always.

Alison: What do you mean?

Aaron: Do you hear that?

[Susan and Emily singing]

Alison: Mom? Emily? What are you doing?

[Susan and Emily singing]

Alison: Why are we here?

Emily: Why do you think we're here, Ali?

Alison: I don't know. That's why I'm asking.

Emily: Why do you usually come here?

Alison: To get away? Escape?

Emily: From?

Alison: My life. Is that what I'm doing?

Susan: Ali, stop over thinking everything! Come and join us!

Alison: I don't know.

Aaron: Ooh, quit playing it safe.

Chris: You have nothing to be afraid of, Alison.

Alison: Chris? I didn't know you played the piano.

Chris: There's a lot about me you didn't know.

Alison: Yeah, and I'm almost okay with that.

Chris: You still have your spirit. That's a good sign.

Alison: Of what?

Chris: That you still know how to have fun.

Alison: Yeah, but I think you and I have pretty different ideas on what it means to have fun.

Susan: Alison, you belong with us! We're the Stewart women! We're not complete without you.

Alison: Okay. Just to prove to you I'm not a chicken.

Aaron: Whatever it takes.

[Alison joins Emily and Susan on stage to sing]

Emily: Oh, God, Mom. Mom? Wake up. Oh, please, wake up.

[Alison dreaming]

 [Aaron applauding]

Alison: That was fun! Let's do another one! Mom? Emily? Where did they go?

Chris: It's okay, Alison. You're all right on your own.

Alison: I'm silly. I shouldn't be up here. I'm just gonna -- I should go look for them.

Chris: Hey, don't be so self-conscious.

Alison: I am not self-conscious.

Aaron: Yeah, you are.

Alison: Hey! When did you start agreeing with him?

Aaron: Hey, can you do something for me?

Alison: I wouldn't count on it now.

Aaron: Can you sing that song you used to in Seattle, when I couldn't sleep?

Alison: What?! No way! The beer's gone to your head.

Aaron: Please?

Chris: How come you never sang for me?

Alison: I don't know. Things are just different with Aaron. You and I weren't like that.

Chris: I wish you had. You have a beautiful voice. It would have been nice.

Aaron: One more time, Ali. For me. For old-times' sake.

Chris: Yeah, sing for me.

Alison: For you? Okay, really, guys. Stop. I know I should be flattered, but you're just making you stressed.

Aaron: You don't need this.

Chris: You donít.

Alison: Okay, well, how about I sing a song for the both of you?

Chris: I'm all right with it if Aaron is.

Alison: Aaron?

Aaron: If that's how you want to play it.

[Alison sings]

[Aaron applauding]

Alison: Thank you. Chris, did you -- Chris? Where did he go? Did you see where he went? Why does everybody keep leaving me?

Aaron: Is that how you see it?

Alison: I would go after them, but I don't know where anybody is.

Aaron: I have to go.

Alison: What?

Aaron: Don't be mad.

Alison: Don't be mad?! You're leaving me!

Aaron: No, no. That's not what I said.

Alison: I'll just go with you. Aaron.

Aaron: See you around.

Alison: No! Wait!

Emma: It's all my fault.

Meg: No, Mama. Rick Decker did this.

Emma: No, Sweetheart. You don't understand. He only came back to the hospital because of me. I was -- I was worried about you, and, I mean, now look what happened.

Meg: Neither of you knew what he would walk into.

Emma: No, I knew something wasn't right, but I didn't stop him. Aaron.

Aaron: Grandma.

Emma: Oh! My precious, precious boy.

[Alison dreaming]

Alison: Hello! Hello! Damn it.

Chris: Don't tell me I'm too late.

Chris: I'm not giving up on her. Not now. Come on, Ali.

[Alison dreaming]

Chris: Ali.

Alison: Chris? You came back.

Chris: I never really left.

Alison: I don't understand what's going on. What am I doing? I thought I was running, but I keep ending up back here.

Chris: It's okay now. I came to get you. I need you to come with me.

Alison: Where?

Chris: Just take my hand.

Alison: How do I know you're not gonna hurt me again?

Chris: I know I haven't given you a lot of reason to trust me.

Alison: No, you haven't.

Chris: But, Ali, I swear you can. I never meant to hurt you. And I think a part of you knows that even now. Please just take my hand. I promise nothing bad is going to happen.

[Alison wakes up]

Alison: Chris?

Chris: Welcome back, beautiful. I thought we lost you.

Susan: How could I not see that it had to be Rick? If anybody should know what that man is truly capable of, it's me. Why didn't I put that together?

Emily: No. I told you, there was no way you could have known. God, the man's a monster. He had the whole plan set in motion before you uttered a word. Oh, my God. When I think about what could have happened, I mean, I could have lost you and Ali and Casey.

Susan: Casey okay?

Emily: Yeah. Yeah, he is now, but -- oh, my God, Mother. It was awful. He had a gun -- he had a gun to Casey's head. I swear to God, he was gonna do it.

Susan: I'm sorry, Honey.

Emily: I was so afraid for him, more than I was for myself.

Susan: Because you love him. I see that now.

Casey: Mom? You're staring at me.

Margo: Am I?

Casey: Yeah. Maybe when I was out of it, it was okay. But now that I'm awake, it's -- it's kind of weird.

Margo: Well, I'm sorry, but there were a couple of moments here today that I thought I wasn't gonna see that face again.

Casey: I wouldn't let you off the hook that easy.

Margo: For once, I won't complain.

Casey: I'm gonna remind you you said that the next time you're mad at me.

Margo: Go ahead, I don't mind.

Casey: We'll see. I don't know what I would have done if something happened to Emily or Dad today.

Margo: Shh. No. You really love her, don't you?

Casey: That's why I married her. I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

Bob: Well, how's my grandson?

Casey: He wants out. Your beds? They're lumpy.

Bob: Oh, we got attitude. That means you're really better. Listen, I thought you'd like to know that Tom's out of surgery. The procedure was a success. He's in recovery. If you'd like to see him, I'll take you right over there.

Casey: Go, go, go. I'll be fine. Tell Dad I love him, okay?

Margo: Okay. I love you.

Casey: I love you, too, Mom.

Margo: Okay. Can I just have a second? Emily, um -- your husband -- you should be in there with him. He's waiting for you.

Emily: Hi.

Casey: Hey. We made it.

Emily: Yeah, we did. Yeah.

Alison: You came back for me.

Chris: Of course, I did. I wasn't gonna let anything bad happen to you.

Alison: You did it, didn't you? Just like you said, you found a cure.

Chris: I just got lucky.

Alison: You saved me. You saved all of us.

Chris: Is that a "Thank you"? Because you don't have to do that.

Alison: No, I want to. Thank you, Chris. Thank you with all of my heart.

Chris: I'm gonna let you get some rest now, okay?

Alison: You're leaving?

Chris: If you want me to stay, I will, if you do. As long as you want.

Alison: Can I ask you something?

Chris: Anything.

Alison: Where's Aaron? I remember seeing him, Chris. In that room with Rick.

Chris: You should get some rest, okay? Your body's been through a mess of trauma.

Alison: Is he okay?

Chris: Yeah. Yeah, he's fine.

Alison: What happened? I know something happened, and if you don't tell me, I will find someone who will.

Chris: Rick shot him.

Alison: Oh, my God.

Chris: The bullet hit him in his shoulder. There was a lot of bleeding, but we got it under control. He's gonna be up and walking around real soon. I promise. Okay?

Alison: I need to see him. Will you take me to see him?

Bob: Have I told you how glad I am that you have a healthy appetite.

Kim: No. Why?

Bob: Well, because you were in the cafeteria when Dr. Decker had all of those people hostage in that room.

Kim: Yeah.

Bob: If you'd have been in there, I don't know what I would have done.

Kim: Well, I suppose you would have come riding in on your white charger and rescued me, my man of steel.

Bob: You better believe it. The old guy's got a few moves left, you know.

Kim: And don't I just know that. Actually, I'm just so grateful that we all got through this. I mean, it could have been so much worse.

Bob: Yeah. We're very lucky. I think tonight's the night to count all our blessings, and I know my main one because she's impossible to forget.

Tom: The way you snore.

Margo: I do not snore!

Tom: You snore. It's just -- it's very ladylike, like tiny, little birds.

Margo: Okay. Okay. Um, that weird little song that you sing when you think no one's looking and you're doing the dishes.

Tom: About the soap suds? That's a good one.

Margo: Yeah.

Tom: Your cooking.

Margo: My cooking? I thought we were listing things you're most grateful for.

Tom: I'm very grateful for your cooking. Sometimes it inspires us to order Chinese food. I like my egg rolls.

Margo: I love you. That's what I'm most grateful for. Sometimes I think I forget, but I will never, ever take what we have for granted ever, no matter how long.

Tom: Me either. You're staring at me.

Margo: Boy, you and Casey, you got a problem with a pretty lady looking at you.

Tom: You made nice with Casey? Yeah, me too. I even gave him my blessing on their marriage.

Margo: Oh, no, Tom, no need to go overboard.

Tom: Um, next time our son gets married, a little heads up.

Margo: I know. I'm sorry. I kind of forgot to mention that.

Tom: Yeah, you kind of did.

Margo: Yeah. So, Emily Stewart is our daughter-in-law. Do we have to put that on the list of things we're most grateful for?

Tom: I think she loves our son very much.

Margo: I think she does.

Emily: I want to go home and take a long, hot bath and forget this day ever happened.

Casey: I don't think that's possible.

Emily: Can't we just pretend?

Casey: No, no, no, no pretending about anything. Besides, I don't want to forget about today. Think about it. My mom and dad -- they accepted us. They accepted that we love each other and our marriage is real. When my dad gave -- gave us his blessing, it meant so much. It meant that I was right.

Emily: Right about what?

Casey: To believe in us, that we're gonna make it.

Paul: Hi. I just spoke with your doctor, and he said, if you're up for it, you're free to go home.

Emma: Oh, Sweetheart! Oh, that is the most wonderful news I've heard all day. I'll make up your old room, and I'll make you your favorite supper. And I'll pamper you. I'll pamper you all night long.

Meg: You know, I would -- I would really, really love that, but the farm isn't my home anymore.

Emma: Right. I just thought, under the circumstances that you might be more comfortable there. But you're right, you're right. Your home is -- your home is with Paul now. Call you in the morning. I love you.

Paul: Emma, listen. If, uh -- look, why don't you come back to Fairwinds with us? You know, help Meg get settled in. That way, you can spend some time with her. And if you'd like, you can even take over my kitchen. It's all brand-new stuff, I think. I don't know. I don't really spend a lot of time there.

Emma: Thank you, Paul. Thank you. I'd like that.

Aaron: Ali?

Alison: Hi.

Aaron: Am I dreaming?

Alison: Nope. I'm real. Do you feel that?

Aaron: I do.

Alison: Good. You're gonna be okay. Okay? We both are.

On the next "As the World Turns" --

Emily: I want an annulment.

Casey: Well, that's not what I want.

Chris: Something more going on with you and Aaron that I should know about?

Aaron: And I just want you to know that I still love you.

Holden: I took a room at the Lakeview.

Lily: Must make it a lot easier for you to see Carly.
