Gwen: Hey, thanks for letting your mom babysit Hallie. All right, I know it wasn't easy for you, but I think it's really important that they spend time together.
Will: Well, if it's less stress for you then I'm all for it. But it's time for the babysitter to go home. 'Cause the sooner we get Mom out of here, the sooner we can enjoy ourselves.
Gwen: That is if Hallie stays asleep for like three or four hours --
Will: We can do a lot in three or four hours.
Gwen: I know. Like sleep. I'm kidding. It's just a joke. That was a good one.
Will: Mom, you left the door unlocked.
Gwen: Oh, we probably just forgot to lock it. Wow, she really wore you out.
Barbara: Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, I just dozed off for a few minutes. Did you have fun?
Gwen: Yeah, we did. Thank you for watching Hallie. How was she?
Barbara: She was wonderful. She got a little fussy, and I got her up and I rocked her a little bit, like I used to rock you, and she went right back down and hasn't made a peep since.
Gwen: Where's Hallie?!
Sofie: You know -- you know I am your mommy and I made such a big mistake giving you away, but I'm going to take you away from here and we're going to be together forever, okay? Okay, okay. Okay, come on. Come on.
Emily: You know, you were lucky I was able to talk the clerk into giving me this key.
Paul: Yeah, you were very convincing. You really think this thing's gonna work?
Emily: Yeah, well, I hope so. It's not going to be easy to get Chris to admit that he poisoned his father and murdered dusty.
Paul: Well, you just gotta get him to slip up, say something incriminating.
Emily: Yeah, and then the charges against Holden are dropped, and you get to be Meg’s hero, right?
Paul: What if Chris points the finger at you?
Emily: Will you stop speculating and plant the damn bug?
Chris: Hey, thank you so much for the extra towels. I appreciate it.
Emily: It's Chris.
Lily: Emma always says, if you want to forget your troubles, keep busy. So, I've checked the homework, I've made the lunches, and I still can't stop thinking about what's going on with you.
Holden: Yeah, well, my mother also has a saying about getting a good night's rest and waking up with a clear head.
Lily: I cannot sleep. I keep going over everything in my mind. There's got to be a way to clear your name.
Holden: Lily, I know that it doesn't look good right now, but it will work itself out. You're safe and that is all that matters to me.
Lily: You know, I need to make an official statement to the police. They need to know that I saw Emily leave the room where Dusty was killed that night.
Holden: No. No, you're not making a statement. I am the prime suspect until further notice.
Lily: Why won't you hire one of my mother's attorneys from Chicago? They can get the charges dropped.
Holden: Lily, I didn't kill Dusty. I will beat the charges. I'm not going to jail.
Lily: No, you still need an attorney. Just like Emily.
Holden: If I cooperate with one of your mother's lawyers, they will want me to point the finger at you. And I will not do that. I will not put you in harm's way. Period.
Noah: Did you say mocha latte?
Luke: Oh, whatever.
Noah: [Mimics radio] Come in, Luke, do you copy?
Noah: Yeah, I know you're worried about your dad.
Luke: I know he didn't kill Dusty. There just has to be some sort of way to prove it.
Noah: Your parents are working on it, right?
Luke: Yeah, but I wish I could do something.
Noah: Don't stress, okay? They need you to -- be you.
Luke: Good ol' dependable Luke. Muck out the stables, take care of the kids.
Noah: Hey, they're lucky to have you around. Hey, careful, that's a little hot.
Luke: Oh, I am such a klutz.
Noah: Hey, you really do need a break.
Reg: Hey, Luke Snyder. Where have you been?
Luke: Hey, Reg, sorry I didn't make it to the committee meeting. I've been crazy busy. Look, this is my boyfriend, Noah.
Reg: Reg Addington.
Noah: Nice to meet you.
Reg: Now I see where you've been spending your time. Good going. Now, we still need you on the social committee though.
Luke: Reg is the president of the Ouglbt committee.
Reg: And otherwise known as the alphabet soup. Although, we're thinking about adding a "Q."
Luke: For -- queer?
Reg: For questioning.
Luke: Oh, well some of us are through that phase.
Reg: And that's a good thing. Are you guys free this weekend? Tony's parents have a house up on the lake and a bunch of guys from the alliance are going to be there. Should be a blast. There's an extra bedroom if you two are interested.
Luke: Umm -- can we get back to you?
Reg: Yeah, sure. Call my cell. It's gonna be a blast. It would be great if you could be there. Just let me know.
Luke: So, do you think we should go?
Noah: Could be just what you need, you know? Time to chill out, relax.
Luke: A nice relaxing weekend at a lake house -- get to meet some other gay couples -- socialize.
Noah: Sounds really great, doesn't it? Especially the part about sharing a bedroom.
Chris: What the hell are you doing here, Emily? How did you get in here?
Emily: I needed to see you.
Chris: Get out.
Emily: I'm not leaving until you let me apologize.
Chris: An apology?
Emily: I made a mistake. I miss you.
Chris: What we had is over. Now leave.
Emily: Can't we -- can't we talk about this?
Chris: You lied to me, you cheated on me. There is nothing left to talk about.
Emily: Do you think we have something worth saving?
Chris: No, you need to go, now.
Emily: Do you remember how good we were together? I mean, I know -- I know you don't trust me, but can't you give me one more chance?
Lily: When are you going to stop protecting me?
Holden: I've been doing it most of my life. It's a hard habit to break.
Lily: Yeah, it's hard to get used to you being on my side after everything we've been through.
Holden: Well, things have changed. Our kids, they need you.
Lily: I know. And when I think about the -- [Cell phone rings] I don't recognize the number.
Holden: It might be an emergency. Answer it.
Neil: Lily Snyder?
Lily: Yes, who is this?
Neil: I have a message for you -- from Dusty Donovan.
Lily: You have a message from Dusty? Who is this?
Neil: My name is Neil Perkins. I'm a lab technician at a private facility. Dusty and I go way back. I do chemical analysis, DNA studies --
Lily: Do you know what happened to Dusty?
Neil: No, but I have the information he was waiting for -- before he was killed.
Lily: Did you go to the police?
Neil: I'm not talking to the cops. I'd like to keep my business under the radar.
Lily: What kind of information do you have?
Neil: I was analyzing some residue in a coffee mug. Donovan made it clear that he didn't want the results to fall into the wrong hands.
Lily: Tell me what you know.
Neil: Donovan requested that I contact you if anything happened to him, but I can't tell you over the phone. I need to do this in person.
Lily: Can we meet tonight?
Neil: Fine. There's a bar in Milltown called Yo's.
Lily: I know it.
Neil: Meet me in 20 minutes. And make sure you come alone.
Chris: Find somebody else to lie to. I'm not interested.
Emily: I'm not lying to you now. I promise, I'm not. I'm lonely without you, Chris.
Chris: You are pathetic. I can't believe I used to love you.
Emily: I know. I should've told you the truth about what happened with Dusty. I should've. It was a mistake, okay? I made a mistake. And you have to understand one thing, I never cared about Dusty the way I care for you.
Chris: So what you had with me was real and what you had with Dusty -- what was that exactly, huh?
Emily: A one-night-stand.
Chris: It's too late, Emily.
Emily: No, you told me you loved me.
Chris: Past tense.
Emily: You're not over me. I know it. I know it, Chris. You want me just like I want you. I know it.
Gwen: Hallie's not here!
Barbara: I put her in the crib.
Gwen: She's not in there now!
Barbara: I put her in the crib! I just fell asleep for a couple of minutes.
Will: Mom, what were you thinking? How could you do this?
Barbara: I couldn't help it, Will. I couldn't!
Barbara: I put her in the crib. Where's the car seat? Where's the car seat?
Will: Was it the crib or the car seat?! What do you think she did, she got up and strapped herself in?
Barbara: I'm half asleep, Will. I know what happened.
Barbara: Sofie showed up here, she wanted to see the baby. And when I refused, she got upset and then I made her leave.
Will: And you didn't lock the door after she left? How did you forget that, Mom?
Barbara: The baby was fussy, Will.
Gwen: Sofie took her.
Barbara: Okay, and after she left, I called Bonnie McKechnie. And you should call Bonnie, maybe she knows something.
Will: Why the hell did you call Bonnie?
Barbara: I thought maybe she could talk to Sofie about the visitation agreement.
Will: Mom, why wouldn't you call us after Sofie left?
Barbara: I handled it, Will!
Will: No, you didn't!
Gwen: Okay, stop it, all right. If Sofie took Hallie, we know she's not going to hurt the baby, all right. I'll just call Sofie, have her bring Hallie back.
[Cell phone rings]
Gwen: She's not picking up. Sofie, its Gwen. Call me as soon as you get this. I need to talk to you. It's about Hallie.
Will: We'll go to the Lakeview and we'll find her.
Gwen: She didn't take the baby bag -- she's not going to go far without that.
Barbara: She cares about Hallie. She's not going to hurt her.
Will: You don't know that, Mom.
Gwen: She's just -- she's really upset because we've been shutting her out, that's all.
Will: That doesn't give her the right to take our child. The reason we're shutting her out is because she doesn't respect boundaries.
Barbara: Let me help. I can fix this.
Will: No, Mom, you can’t. You're not going to help.
Gwen: Okay, just stop. We just need to go to the Lakeview and find Sofie.
Barbara: Okay, go, go! I will stay here in case she comes back.
Luke: You hate sleeping on my grandma's couch, don't you?
Noah: Emma's been really good to me. Your family's great. I love living on the farm, but -- you know, it does cut down our alone time.
Luke: Well, there's going to be other people at the this party this weekend.
Noah: You know what I mean. What?
Luke: I don't -- I don't know. I don't know. It's weird. I -- you know how much I want to be with you.
Noah: Me too.
Luke: And all the time I was in the wheelchair and I didn't have -- the use of all my moving parts, and now I'm better. And things are just so messed up with my parents.
Noah: Hey, if you don't want to go right now because you're worried about your dad, I completely get that. Okay, we can do this some other time. I want this to feel right.
Luke: This isn't about my feelings for you. I love you. And I really, really want to be together.
Noah: I think about it all the time. I mean, sneaking kisses on the porch and holding hands walking around the pond is great, but -- you can't blame a guy for wanting more.
Luke: I want it too. So bad. But there's just so much going on with my father right now.
Noah: I know. You're right, um, your family has to come first. Um, it's cool.
Lily: Neil said he has some information that Dusty needed. Something about residue on a coffee mug. This could be the proof that we need. He wants to meet me at Yo’s.
Holden: All right, fine. I'll drive.
Lily: No, he said he wants me to go alone.
Holden: Lily, you are not going without me.
Lily: What about the kids?
Holden: Meg'll watch them. Listen, we don't know what this guy's capable of. You're not going alone. I'm going with you.
Lily: Okay. Let's go.
Emily: Dusty never made me feel the way you do. Oh, he betrayed me and I hated him for it. I don't care that he's dead. Really, I don't care that he's gone. It's better for the both of us.
Chris: You talk too much.
Emily: I'm sorry. I was afraid to tell you the truth about him. I was afraid if I told you the truth that you would leave me. But he said things about you. He said things about you that made me doubt you. I don't know, things that couldn't possibly be true.
Chris: Yes --
Emily: But it doesn't matter if they're true. You know, the things that you said -- it doesn't matter now -- because Dusty's gone.
Chris: Dusty's not our problem anymore.
Emily: No. It's just you and me.
Chris: Where is it? Where's the bug?
Emily: What are you talking about?
Chris: No, you didn't come here to tell me you love me. You came here to find something on me.
Chris: So where's the damn bug?
Emily: No -- would you stop it? Would you look at me? Do you really think I would do that to you?
Will: Hey, Aaron --
Aaron: Hey, Mommy and Daddy.
Will: Have you seen Sofie?
Aaron: She had an earlier shift. But I haven't seen her. What's up?
Will: She took the baby.
Aaron: What are you talking about?
Gwen: She came by the house when Will and I weren't there. She wanted to see Hallie, but Barbara wouldn't let her.
Will: So she came back, she broke in and we think she ran off with Hallie.
Gwen: We're just really hoping that she's upstairs in her room.
Aaron: Well, did you call her?
Gwen: Yeah, I just left her a message. Listen, we gotta go up.
Aaron: Okay, I'll meet you right there, okay?
Will: She's not here.
Gwen: She's just not answering.
Aaron: Guys, I got the master key from the front desk.
Will: Open it.
Gwen: No, she just packed up all her stuff. She's gone.
Will: We'll find her.
Aaron: Listen, I'm going to call her. She might pick up if she sees it's me.
[Cell phone rings]
Aaron: Hey, missed you at work today. You okay?
Sofie: I'm fine.
Aaron: Okay. Haven't seen you in awhile. I was just a little but worried.
Sofie: You shouldn’t. I can take care of myself.
Aaron: Hey, listen, Sofie I have to ask you a question. Did you take Hallie?
Sofie: You mean my baby? I have every right to be with her.
Aaron: Where are you?
Sofie: I can't tell you.
Aaron: Are you in Oakdale?
Sofie: All you need to know is that I am with my daughter and we are never coming back.
Aaron: She hung up.
Gwen: What did she say? Where is she?
Aaron: She has Hallie -- and she's not coming back.
Emily: Would -- would you stop being so suspicious? Stop. Look at me. I know you want me as much as I want you.
Chris: Stop trying to play me, Emily! I know you're not wearing a wire, but it is in here somewhere.
Emily: What are you talking about? What are you doing? Stop!
Chris: You were going to sleep with me to get information. You know, I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, you've prostituted yourself before, haven't you?
Emily: Stop. No, no! Let go of me! Let go of me!
Paul: Hey, hey! That's enough. Get your hands off of her.
Noah: Who are you calling?
Luke: My dad. He says it's okay if we want to go to the lake house this weekend.
Noah: But I thought you didn't want to go.
Luke: I changed my mind.
Luke: I don't know. It might be fun. You know, meet some other gay couples, make some new friends. Be alone together.
Noah: Yeah, but -- you know, if you want to wait --
Luke: Why would I?
Noah: Well, 'cause it's going to be a party. You know, in a house full of guys. It might not be the most romantic.
Luke: Anytime I'm alone with you is romantic to me.
Noah: Me too. This is really going to be great. Umm -- I mean, I'm looking forward to it.
Luke: I could kind of tell that it was a big deal to you.
Noah: Was it that obvious?
Noah: Are you sure it's okay with your parents?
Luke: Well, my dad said it was. He seemed a little distracted, I mean, I'm not saying that I blame him.
Noah: Yeah, he is going through a lot.
Luke: It must be rough. I really hope things between my mom and my dad are going to be okay.
Holden: I don't think he's coming.
Lily: Just a few more minutes.
Holden: This isn't very busy, is it?
Lily: I'm surprised. It was packed the last time I was here.
Holden: When was that?
Lily: The day that I overdosed -- after I had a run-in with Dusty.
Holden: You know what? We don't need to talk about that.
Lily: I wasn't just trying to dull my senses. That's all. I was trying to forget about everything that I lost.
Holden: Forget about it. It's over.
Lily: I let you down. And now you could go to jail because of me.
Holden: We both made mistakes. We need to own up to them and move on.
Lily: Why are you being so good to me?
Holden: We've been married for a very long time. You know what? I really don't think that this guy is coming.
Bartender: You Lily Snyder?
Bartender: Someone left you this.
Lily: He was here?
Bartender: Yeah, he left in a hurry.
Holden: What does it say?
Lily: I told you to come alone.
Lily: We blew it. This could have been the information that exonerated you.
Holden: We don't know that. It could've been nothing.
Lily: It was all we had to go on. [Cell phone rings] Hello?
Neil: You get one more chance. Who's the guy?
Lily: He's my husband.
Neil: Drop him. I'm not going to give you the info unless you come alone.
Lily: What do you want me to do?
Neil: Go to the corner of Tenth and Main. Look for a blue car. I'll be in it. This time, come alone or I'm out and I'm taking this information with me.
Lily: I'll be there. I'm going alone.
Holden: No way.
Lily: Listen --
Holden: It's too dangerous.
Lily: I can handle this. This is the only way we can get the proof that we need.
Holden: Lily, I don't want you to do this.
Lily: I can do it. I'll meet him and I'll get the information.
Holden: I guess I have no choice, huh?
Noah: Are you still worried about your father?
Luke: I will be until he's cleared. But, a weekend away will do us some good.
Noah: Definitely. Oh, hey, Reg.
Luke: Hey, Reg, we decided that we will go to that party this weekend, if that's cool.
Reg: Oh, fantastic. Luke, you remember my boyfriend, Tony.
Luke: Yeah, hi.
Reg: And this is Luke’s boyfriend, Noah.
Tony: Nice to meet you, Noah.
Noah: Good to meet you. Well, I have to pick up some more equipment for my filmmaking class, but I'll meet you back here?
Luke: Yeah, sure.
Noah: I'll see you guys later.
Tony: He's hot. Lucky Luke.
Luke: Yeah, Noah’s really great.
Reg: Something tells me you two are going to do really well up at the lake. We've got a huge hot tub.
Tony: No swimsuits allowed. And it gets real crowded.
Reg: Well, not everybody's an exhibitionist like you, Tony.
Tony: I bet Noah is. I mean, after a few cosmos, etcetera --
Luke: Well, I don't drink and Noah doesn't --
Tony: Well, you can always find some way to party.
Reg: He's got a one track mind. We'll see you this weekend.
Luke: Yeah, sure.
Emily: No, stop it. No. No! No! Get away from him or I'm going to call security. Stop it.
Chris: No, I should call the police and have you both charged with breaking and entering. How the hell do you think you're gonna bug my room and get away with it, huh?
Paul: Well, while you're talking to the cops, ask for Margo Hughes and explain how you became the interim chief of staff right after your father fired you, which if funnily enough right before Bob had his stroke, wasn't it?
Chris: I see you left nothing out. So much for our deal, huh?
Emily: No, we had to get the truth.
Chris: No, you wanted someone to pin this on. But it is not gonna be me! No!
Emily: No, no.
Paul: Well, I think that went pretty well.
Will: Hey, Margo, can we speak to you?
Margo: Sure, what's going on?
Will: Our daughter's been kidnapped.
Margo: What? Tell me what's happened.
Gwen: The birth mother, Sofie Duran, took her.
Will: Can you help us?
Margo: Yes, I can, if you tell me the whole story.
Will: Well, we went out tonight and my mom was babysitting. She fell asleep, when we got home, Hallie was missing.
Margo: And you think that the birth mother has taken her?
Aaron: Oh, we know she did. I spoke to her. She admitted that she took the baby.
Margo: What time? When did you speak to her?
Aaron: Just before we got here.
Margo: Do you think that Sofie would harm the child in any way?
Gwen: No, I -- look, I'm not sure. I know that she loves her a lot, but she doesn't have a lot of experience with infants.
Will: We have to get her back, Margo.
Margo: All right. Do any of you have a photo of Sofie?
Aaron: Yeah, I have one on my cell phone.
Margo: All right, we're going to have to upload that photo onto our server. I'll put out an APB and an Amber Alert. I'll contact the state troopers. Aaron, I need you to come with me because we need to track your outgoing phone calls to see if we can get a hit on Sofie’s whereabouts at any of the towers, okay?
Will: Don't worry, Gwen. Margo's going to find her. She has to.
Emily: I've never been more humiliated in my entire life. Chris and I had a deal. And you blew it. Now he knows that I told you everything about Dusty. He's got no reason to keep his mouth shut.
Paul: Hey, Dusty thought that Chris tried to poisoned his own father. Don't you think the police should know that?
Emily: The police need evidence.
Paul: Well then point them straight to the evidence, Em.
Emily: I -- the lab tech. The lab tech. He's the only person who can connect Chris to Bob's stroke. We need to find him.
Paul: No, no, no. Let Margo find him.
Emily: I'm not talking to Margo.
Paul: You don't need to worry about those threats that Chris made.
Emily: What are you talking about? You heard him. You heard what he said to me. It's his word against mine.
Paul: I didn't hear that. I just heard him call you a prostitute. Em --
Paul: Okay, look -- you know what, we need to focus here. Okay, we need to nail Chris for murdering Dusty. That's our goal here.
Emily: No, that is your goal, not mine.
Paul: But you're the only one that knows Dusty’s evidence against Chris.
Emily: It doesn't matter, okay. Let's just let it go.
Paul: No, look. The Em I know never let anything go, ever. You -- you need to launch a pre-emptive strike. You need to go to Margo and tell her everything before Chris does.
Aaron: Margo's tracking my cell phone calls right now.
Margo: All right, I've got the APB out. Now, the Amber Alert is statewide. If Hallie is missing for more than 24 hours, then we'll take it national. I also called Kim at the station. She's going to put Sofie’s picture out over the 10:00 news. All right?
Gwen: There's been too much time. She could be anywhere. We don't even know how long she's been gone.
Will: Yeah, my mom was out of it.
Gwen: It's freezing outside. How could Sofie be this irresponsible?
Aaron: Sofie won't let anything happen to the baby, okay?
Gwen: She doesn't even know how to take care of herself.
Margo: I know that you're freaking out right now, but you've got to hang in there. You gotta believe that we're gonna find her, we're gonna bring her back here safe and sound. Why don't you take Gwen home? I'll call you if I get any information.
Will: Margo, thank you.
Gwen: Thank you, thank you. Listen, you know Sofie better than anyone. Would you just call us if you think of anything?
Aaron: I will. I will.
Will: Thanks, Aaron.
Gwen: Thank you.
Will: Did anyone call?
Barbara: No. Do you have any news?
Gwen: Sofie took Hallie. She's not coming back.
Barbara: Oh my -- she seemed so harmless, I just can't believe she'd take your baby. I am so sorry about this.
Will: You should be, Mom. You begged us to see her and to be with her, and then you couldn't even keep yourself awake?
Gwen: Will, stop. Don't do this right now.
Barbara: I can't feel any worse than I already do. Did you talk to the police?
Gwen: We saw Margo. She put out an APB, an Amber Alert.
Barbara: Good. Those are the right things. Does she know that I was here? Maybe I should go down and make a statement.
Will: Mom, that's -- I don't think that's necessary.
Barbara: Well, I gotta do something, Will. What do you want me to do? Do you want me to hire a private investigator?
Will: No, Mom, you've done enough for one night.
Barbara: Well, I guess maybe I'll go. I'll go and I'll talk to Lisa. Maybe Sofie said something to Lisa that Margo can use.
Barbara: Just call me if you know anything. Or if you need anything -- if Sofie needs anything, if she needs money or whatever.
Gwen: Sofie doesn't -- she doesn't want money, she just wants her kid, that's all.
Barbara: I'm so sorry.
Will: Mom, just go. You need to leave.
Gwen: We'll call you if we hear anything, I promise.
Noah: Five minute student film and it's like I'm shooting "The Hobbit." You know, I think I'm missing a light.
Luke: So um -- what do you think about Tony?
Noah: Seemed nice.
Luke: Yeah? He seemed really interested in you.
Noah: What do you mean?
Luke: I mean, I think you are his type. I think he wants to see you naked in the hot tub.
Noah: Oh, well in his dreams.
Luke: I guess that's just part of the scene, you know? Guys showing off in the Jacuzzi.
Noah: Oh, not me.
Luke: Well, me either. Sounds like there's going to be drugs at the party.
Noah: Well, is that a deal-breaker?
Luke: Well, I told him that we just say no to drugs. And who knows, you know? If it means that we can be alone together, then it might be worth it.
Noah: Yeah, yeah. I mean, we can leave the party boys in the hot tub, then you know, grab some one on one time alone.
Luke: Yeah, that sounds like a plan.
Noah: I'm there. Well, I do have to go pick up a light. I'll meet you back at the farm? I really am looking forward to being alone with you.
Lily: Oh! What are you doing here? I told you I wanted to do this alone.
Holden: Lily, this guy is not going to show up. You've been here, you've been waiting long enough. Someone is setting you up, and I don't like it.
Emily: Margo, I need to speak with you.
Margo: No, this -- Emily, this is not a good time. I'm working on a kidnapping case.
Emily: I think there's a connection between Bob's stroke and Dusty’s murder.
Margo: Jonesy, keep the lines open on the Hallie Munson and let me know if there's any more information. What? No lawyer?
Emily: Do you want the information, or not?
Margo: All right, let's hear it.
Emily: Dusty suspected Chris of poisoning Bob and causing his stroke.
Margo: You're telling me that my brother-in-law tried to murder his father? What's the motive?
Emily: To take over the hospital. And push through a major research project that Bob was completely against.
Margo: Mm-hmm. Where's the proof?
Emily: Bob's coffee mug -- in the research lab. Dusty had it sent out for analysis. He was killed waiting for the test results.
Margo: There were several calls from a lab technician on Donovan’s cell phone.
Emily: The lab tech. Did you contact him? You need to bring him down here. He'll confirm everything I'm telling you.
Margo: Yes, of course I did. But he hasn't returned my phone calls yet. You know, Emily, this is a lot of very valuable information that could've been useful at the beginning of the investigation. It just begs the question, why you're coming forward with it now. What's in it for you?
Chris: Sorry I'm late, man.
Evan: Hey, no problem. I just got here too. Everything all right?
Chris: No, no. I just had a crazy run-in with Emily. She's trying to set me up. Thinks I poisoned my father and killed Dusty and tried to cover it up. She's trying to ruin my life.
Evan: Okay, well, as outrageous as Emily’s allegations are, it could be a problem. I mean, if she starts spreading rumors, its bad news for memo 21. She publishes a newspaper, she could easily sway public opinion. And the last thing we need right now is bad PR that could derail our project.
Chris: Well, I agree, but how do we stop her?
Evan: I'm not sure. There's gotta be some way we can shut her up.
Emily: What does it matter how long I've been sitting on the information?
Margo: Because timing is everything. Isn't it? So Emily, you're trying to make Chris look guilty to cover your own tracks?
Emily: I'm telling you the truth. I couldn't say anything earlier because of Chris. We umm -- we sort of had a deal. I agreed to keep Dusty’s suspicions quiet about him, if he agreed to keep quiet about me.
Margo: Why? What did Chris have on you?
Emily: See, that's not so easy to --
Margo: Well, then how do you expect me to believe you, Emily?
Emily: Can this conversation be confidential, Margo?
Margo: No, no, it can’t. It's a murder investigation. You know --
Emily: I know, I have no right to expect anything from you, but I would really appreciate it if Tom never found out about this.
Margo: No, I'm not guaranteeing anything.
Emily: Okay, fine. Then off the record.
Margo: Emily, what is it? Donovan has been murdered. If you have evidence, tell me.
Emily: I've been through some really rough times. You know that firsthand. Well, last year I hit rock bottom. I made some really lousy choices. I know there's no excuse for what I did, I'm just -- I'm telling you this because I need you to understand that what I did at the time, I felt like I had nothing left to lose.
Margo: What are you saying? What are you trying to say? Please?
Emily: For a while, a short while, I worked for a Madame -- I was a hooker.
Margo: You were a prostitute?
Emily: Yeah, I thought I put this behind me. Nobody knows. Chris found out about it. That's part of the reason we broke up.
Margo: Wait, wait, wait. The bottom line here is, you've admitted to prostitution and you're accusing my brother-in-law of being a murderer. Have I got that straight?
Holden: All right, we've waited long enough. We should go.
Lily: He probably saw you and he took off.
Holden: If that's true, then why would he leave his car unlocked? His keys.
Gwen: I feel sick to my stomach.
Will: We're going to get her back.
Gwen: I know why she did it. I did the same thing. I took Johnny and I ran. I didn't think about the consequences. She'll do anything to be with Hallie.
Will: She's not going to get away with this.
Gwen: I don't know, I feel like it's my fault. I kept pushing her to see Hallie. I just, I remember what it felt like not being able to be with my baby. I didn't want her to feel that same pain. And I just drove her to do this.
Will: Gwen, you had no way of predicting how Sofie was going to react.
Gwen: You told me that it was going to be a problem and I didn't listen.
Will: You tried to do a good thing. This is not your fault.
Gwen: My job is to keep Hallie safe and I failed.
Will: Sofie let her down. She's being selfish and she's putting our daughter in danger.
[Knock on the door]
Gwen: Did you hear from Sofie?
Aaron: No, I didn’t. But I think I can help.
Noah: Hey, how's it going?
Luke: I'm glad my Dostoevsky paper is due before the weekend.
Noah: Don't want any "Crime and Punishment" at the party?
Luke: Actually, do we really --
Noah: I was thinking --
Luke: Do we really have to go --
Noah: I don't want to go.
Luke: I'm not really into that kind of party. I thought that -- maybe you were.
Noah: Are you kidding? I want to be with you, but not like that.
Luke: Well, okay, the thing is, I do. I do really, really, really want to be with you. Alone. And I mean, like, really alone.
Noah: We have time. When things settle down with your family, we'll know when it feels right.
Luke: You're amazing. It's like that you can read my mind. What am I thinking?
Noah: Moonlight walk around the pond?
Luke: I'm there.
Lily: So he forgot his keys. I mean, it happens.
Holden: So where did he go?
Aaron: When Sofie was pregnant she ran away to Chicago. She couldn't face what was going down in Oakdale with Cole.
Will: Why didn't you tell us this before?
Aaron: Because everything just happened so fast. It didn't really sink in that she would actually run away with Hallie.
Gwen: What else can you tell us?
Aaron: Well, I have the address that she stayed at when she was in Chicago.
Will: Do you think she'd go back there?
Aaron: I don't know, Will. But that's all I've got.
Will: I'll find her.
Aaron: Okay, I gotta head back to the police station and get my phone. If she calls, I'll let you know.
Gwen: Thank you.
Aaron: I'm so sorry this happened, Guys.
Gwen: Do you think she's in Chicago?
Will: It's all we've got. We've got to start somewhere.
Gwen: I'm going with you.
Will: We're going to bring our baby home. I promise.
Chris: I warned Emily to keep her mouth shut. But I'm not sure it did any good.
Evan: Okay, what about Craig Montgomery? Huh, he's the main investor. He's going to lose a lot of money if this project goes under. I mean, he's powerful, he must know people. Do you think he could do something about Emily?
Chris: As far as I know, Craig Montgomery would do anything to protect an investment.
Emily: Do you understand what it took for me to come in here and tell you this? I never would have done it if I didn't believe the charges against Chris were true.
Margo: Until we have any proof, Emily, it's your word against his. You have just admitted to a very serious crime. Prostitution. Do you realize the baring it's going to have on the relationship to your son?
Emily: Please, please, please do not say anything to Tom. Daniel cannot find out about this.
Margo: When are you ever going to put your son's interests first?
Emily: I never meant to hurt anyone, I swear to God, especially my son, but if Chris had anything to do with what happened to Bob or Dusty, I don't want that on my head.
Margo: The first thing we have to do is talk to Neil Perkins, the lab technician, and see if Dusty actually did have anything. But everybody knows that your relationship with Dusty Donovan was very volatile. And everybody knows what you are capable of.
Emily: Find the lab tech and you will find the evidence you need against Chris.
Margo: Well, you better hope so for your own sake, Emily.
Holden: Maybe he left the keys because he wanted us to find something.
Lily: Well, I don't think we're going to find anything in there.
Holden: Well, let's have a look.
[They open the trunk and the lab tech is there dead]
On the next "As The World Turns."
Lily: Holden did not kill Dusty!
Chris: My own sister-in-law is accusing me of committing murder.
Parker: You're just trying to get close to my mom.
Kit: It's good to know I can trust you with my man, Carly. I can trust you, right?
Chris: What are you planning?
Craig: I'm not going to let Emily Stewart or Paul Ryan get in our way.
Emily: What are you gonna do?
Paul: I think I figured out a way to finally end Craig’s reign of terror.
