[Carly calls Jack]

Jack: Hello?

Carly: It’s me. This won’t take long.

[Jack hangs up on Carly]

Parker: Mom, right?

Jack: Parker, I'm sorry.

Parker: Hey. I think you did the right thing.

Cole: Just what part of none of your business don't you understand?

Aaron: I'm just saying if you guys are giving the baby up --

Cole: Look. What we do and how we do it is up to us and only us.

Aaron: But if Sofie wants an open adoption --

Cole: An open adoption means we have to start from scratch, she goes through the pain all over back where we started. Sofie does not need you butting in, stirring things up. So stay away. You just make things worse.

Aaron: For who?

Gwen: What do you mean, things haven't gone as planned? It's just that -- no, I'm sorry, I had no right to ask. I know you're going to do whatever is right for the baby.

Sofie: I hope so. Because it sure isn't going to be easy.

Carly: Hi. I'm looking for Katie Peretti?

Vienna: So when you found out she was lying, you called off the wedding.

Henry: We tend to avoid the topic of called-off weddings.

Vienna: Well, Jack at least had a good reason to call off the wedding. I knew that woman was lying all the time.

Katie: She wasn't lying all the time. That's what makes it so complicated.

Vienna: No, it's not complicated at all. Now Jack knows that she's a connive witch and you are his soul mate.

Katie: No. All of this happening just proves that I never had his heart to begin with, not all of it.

Vienna: So, now's the time to make a move in. She threw his love away, you move in and recycle.

Katie: No, that's not going to happen. After last night --

Henry: What do you mean, after last night?

Katie: After last night, it's over for Jack and me.

Jack: Well, thanks, Judge, we really appreciate it. Well, you've given us something to be thankful for. Thanks a lot. I'll see you soon. Yep, bye. Where the hell have you been?

Brad: And a cheery Thanksgiving Eve to you, too.

Jack: Emma's been looking for you this morning.

Jack: Didn't come back with it, did you?

Brad: No, I didn’t. What's it to you?

Gwen: If being with Cole is what you want, that's your decision.

Sofie: It's not about being with Cole. It's about the baby. Cole thinks, I mean, we think, --

Cole: What the hell are you doing talking to her?

Alison: Hey, Snyder.

Aaron: Hey.

Alison: What's up? I haven't seen you this mad since -- I don't know, when was the last time we went out?

Aaron: You could tell I was mad, huh?

Alison: I think clenching your fists and the muttering under the breath was a clue. So, at the risk of sounding like a friend, why don't you take a seat, pop a chestnut and tell me what's bothering you?

Henry: And exactly why is it over for you and Jack?

Katie: Because that's what I told him. My mom used to put some sourdough bread in her stuffing. I hated it.

Vienna: Oh, no, no, we're not changing the subject. You are going to tell me why you did such a stupid, stupid thing.

Katie: It was not stupid! It's like I told Brad last night --

Henry: Whoa, whoa, wait a second. You call it off with Jack and then you go to Brad?

Katie: He came to me.

Henry: And you let him in?

Vienna: Katie. It's time for an intervention.

Brad: You know, I didn't realize you had to punch in and out around here.

Jack: Where were you? Who were you with?

Brad: You don't have to worry, she's not married. Not anymore, at least.

Jack: You spent the night with Katie.

Brad: Yeah. Yeah. Somebody had to.

Gwen: I was just telling Sofie I was happy you guys were able to work things out.

Cole: That's funny, since the last thing you told her to do was to dump me.

Gwen: I apologize. I was completely out of line. It was good to see you, Sofie.

Cole: What the hell did you say to her?

Aaron: That tastes worse than it smells.

Alison: You sure have the holiday spirit.

Aaron: Yeah, I guess not that much.

Alison: Shame on you. You have like a poster Thanksgiving family -- a big turkey dinner on a farm with a pie-making grandmother.

Aaron: I work tomorrow.

Alison: Okay, that sucks.

Aaron: Not like it's going to be much fun at the farm anyway. My dad and Lily are getting a divorce.

Alison: That's terrible. With Luke?

Aaron: Yeah. I think what happened to Luke has something to do with it. Not a whole lot of talking going on.

Alison: Wow. I just thought --

Aaron: What's that?

Alison: Well, you know, I always thought my family was weird. And, of course, I was right. But your family just, I don't know, always look sort of perfect.

Aaron: I'll take my time off later, hang out with Luke when everybody gets back to work.

Alison: You know, I might develop a real craving for the Lakeview Shirley Temple tomorrow.

Aaron: Really? That would be great. That would be great to see you.

Alison: I'll smuggle in some of my mother's stuffing. Chestnut stuffing, that is. So, you told me what made you sad. Now, what is it that had you so mad?

Aaron: Nothing.

Alison: Ah, so now let me rephrase that. Who is it that made you so mad?

Cole: I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have jumped on you like that. It's just my sister, she gets me so angry. She's been judging me from day one.

Sofie: I just wish there was some way you two could be friends.

Cole: You're so sweet. But Sofie, we got so much to worry about and to think about. It's just, I don't want you telling her personal things. I just think we really have to stay together right now.

Sofie: Okay.

Cole: You and me -- just stay clear on that. After the baby is born and settled in with that nice family, then we'll have our time. Really get back together.

Sofie: It'll be nice.

Cole: How about this? A. -- L.A. we get a house by the beach. I'll work on my music career. You can work in some really cool place, not some hotel bar with a bunch of drunk businessmen.

Sofie: You mean California?

Cole: Last time I looked, that's where L.A. was.

Sofie: Cole. If we can't afford to have the baby, how can we afford to move to L.A.?

Katie: I don't think either one of you has room to act all superior.

Henry: We are not acting superior. We're scared for you, all right? Now, I haven't asked this since junior high school, but how far did you two get?

Katie: I did not sleep with him. He was being a friend, just like you two.

Vienna: No, not like we are.

Henry: He's just trying to get lucky.

Katie: That's a terrible thing to say about him.

Vienna: But true, Katie, very true.

Henry: Do I have to remind you of the things he's done to you? And the reason why?

Katie: He's changed.

Henry: No, he hasn’t. Brad is a very simple organism. He has two and only two motivations. And Emma’s already giving him food.

Katie: I do not want to talk about this anymore. See you have no faith in me at all.

Henry: I don't have any faith in Brad. And we don't want to see you get hurt again.

Katie: I know that.

Vienna: I'm getting you some pepparkakor.

Katie: Henry?

Henry: Yeah?

Katie: Remember when I was always lying and scheming --

Henry: Shallow and mercenary? Yes, I do remember.

Katie: You know what? Life was a lot easier when I was the bitch.

Jack: Just couldn't help yourself, could you? You waited for me to leave and then you made your move, huh?

Brad: No.

Jack: You knew she was vulnerable and you took advantage of her.

Brad: You're skipping over the reason why she was vulnerable. I still don't think you have any idea how much you hurt her.

Jack: I think I do. But just because I'm guilty doesn't mean I'm going to stand by and watch you put another notch on your bedpost.

Brad: Its so good to have a brother who thinks I'm not capable of helping a friend.

Emma: Jack. In the barn. Apples, go get them.

Jack: Emma, we were just --

Emma: You have a choice. You can go get the apples or you can go in the parlor and you can sit down and fold your hands.

Brad: You didn't have to stand up for me.

Emma: I didn’t. I sent him away because you and I, we are going to have a little talk, Mister.

Katie: I know, I thought Brad was selfish, undersexed, undereducated, narcissistic, totally irritating and not funny.

Henry: Not anymore?

Katie: Remember when he brought Snickers here?

Vienna: He brought your rabbit to you and suddenly he's Dag Hammarskjold, Lars Gevinken and St. Olaf, all rolled up into one?

Henry: Katie, Katie, it's just, after everything you've been through --

Vienna: Don't be an idiot.

Katie: Guys, Guys, I'm in total control. Total. I need some milk.

Emma: After all that Jack has been through, Brad, why can't you get along with him?

Brad: He started it!

Emma: If I closed my eyes, I'd think I was talking to a 6-year-old!

Brad: He's mad at himself and he takes it out on me. That's nothing new for him, Emma.

Emma: Why are you here?

Brad: On earth? In the kitchen?

Emma: In Oakdale. Yesterday, you were all set to leave town. You said there was nothing here for you. What changed all that?

Gwen: Hey.

Carly: Oh, hi. I didn't know you were coming by.

Gwen: I thought maybe we should talk.

Carly: You can talk. All I can do is say I'm sorry over and over again to everyone.

Gwen: It's okay. Where are you headed now?

Carly: To find Katie. I got this money, this settlement from the misdiagnosis, and I thought I would give it to her.

Gwen: Why?

Carly: I don't know. I guess I thought that something good could come out of this.

Gwen: Boy. You know, what you did before was terrible. But I've got to be honest, this is a stupid idea!

Carly: Well, I don't know why you question all of my decisions. They all work out so well.

Gwen: Carly, you can't pay Katie off.

Carly: That isn't what I'm trying to do. I wanted to do something nice for the kids, you know, maybe go on a trip with Jack and the kids.

Gwen: You don't know that they're even back together. But that's not the point. You can't use money to clear your conscience.

Carly: Oh, this conscience thing, I don't know when it happened, but I hate having one.

Gwen: Look, I know that you've been through hell. I can even understand why you did what you did, but you need to leave Jack and Katie alone now.

Cole: This adoption, I told you, it's not just because we don't have any money, I'm not ready.

Sofie: I get that. I get that. What I don't get is how we all of a sudden have enough money to move to L.A.

Cole: My mom, she's going to help us get on our feet. Find out who we are together.

Sofie: Your mom? Your mom doesn't even like me.

Cole: A lot of things are changing, Sofie. I think she's impressed at how grown up you're being. How strong you are.

Sofie: I don't feel strong.

Cole: Look, let's get out of here. We'll go home, make each other feel better.

Sofie: Cole. I don't think it's a good idea, the baby.

Cole: The baby. I've got to run a few errands.

Sofie: Cole.

Cole: I'll catch you later.

Sofie: I'm sorry.

Aaron: Those things made me thirsty. You want something?

Alison: Yeah. I think they're selling apple cider over there.

Aaron: Hey, you remember that time --

Alison: Yeah. I remember.

Aaron: I'm glad I bumped into you. You really made me feel better.

Alison: Me too. Hey.

Cole: You've got to be more careful. Not every guy is as nice as I am.

Jack: Are you thinking about leaving town?

Brad: Thinking about taking a few days for a little R and R.

Jack: Sounds like Emma thought it was a little bit more than that.

Brad: Emma thought she was having a private conversation.

Jack: I can't find my suit.

Emma: Oh, I took it to the cleaners. It's in the hall closet. I'll go get it for you. Listen, you two, behave yourself now, I mean it. Brad, you go down in the basement, you bring up the chairs.

Brad: Right away.

Jack: So what was it that kept you here in Oakdale? Was it Katie?

Katie: I have a great idea, Brad and I should cover the dinner for the show. Then you get good promo for the cause and for the diner.

Henry: And it would be a great excuse for you to call Brad.

Katie: It's a good thing I like you because I really kind of hate you. Happy now?

Henry: I'm happier.

Katie: Where should I put this?

Henry: Too easy. I'll put it in the window. Ask Vienna if she needs my help with anything else.

Katie: Okay.

Gwen: Do you mind if I talk to Henry for a second? I want to check if Maddie’s coming back.

Carly: I'll wait here.

Gwen: I'll be a minute.

Cole: So I have to say, it makes no sense to me that someone who looks like you do is sitting out here all alone.

Alison: I'm not. My friend is getting us some cider.

Cole: And this friend, is it a he or she?

Alison: You expect a lot of info for just picking up my purse.

Cole: All right, the whole truth. You're so beautiful, I have lost all my technique. Suddenly, every word out of my mouth is obvious and lame.

Alison: And usually it's not?

Cole: Tell you what, skip the cider, come have a real drink with me. I think you owe it to yourself to find out just how great I really am.

Brad: You know, Jack, I get that you were played and that you're really ticked off, but you kind of gave up the right to be Katie’s protector when you ran off to get married to someone else. So, if she needs me, if she needs a friend --

Jack: A friend? You want to take advantage of her --

Brad: Look, look, I know my past. I don't need you to remind me. I'm not conning her, I'm not moving in on her. I went over to see if she was okay. She's the one who asked me to stay.

Vienna: Katie, what's wrong?

Gwen: My sister, she's outside.

Katie: She's not coming in here.

Vienna: We reserve the right to refuse service to horrible people.

Carly: I want to talk to Katie.

Vienna: It doesn't matter what you want, you can't come in.

Carly: I'd like to talk to Katie.

Henry: No, no, you can't talk to Katie here. There's knives, there's scalding coffee.

Katie: It's okay. Hey, let heifer come in.

Carly: Thank you.

Katie: Guys, give me a minute. So, want to talk to me?

Carly: Yeah. I suppose my words won't matter a whole heck of a lot, but I -- I have this money, this compensation for the misdiagnosis, and I want you and Jack to have it.

Katie: What? Oh, right, okay, so then we're square.

Carly: No. No, I just thought that you and Jack could do something nice with it, take a trip.

Katie: Right. Why don't you keep the money, Carly, after all, you did earn it.

Carly: I don't expect you to ever understand. I had my family back --

Katie: Oh, I understand, Carly. From the moment you came back to Oakdale, way after the diagnosis, you couldn't stand the fact that Jack was happy with me and you were going to do anything, anything in your power to get me back for that.

Jack: She asked you to stay.

Brad: You know what, man? I am so sick and tired of the across-the-board assumption that I am, you know, me, and you're this righteous, stand-up guy. If you'd been honest with Katie, if you'd been a man about it, none of this would have happened.

Jack: I was, I was honest, Brad, about everything. Carly’s the one who lied to me.

Brad: Bull, bull! I'm talking about from the get-go. Katie was worried from the very beginning that you still loved Carly, and you said oh no, I'm over her, it's only you -- but every time you said that, it was a lie.

Jack: Listen --

Brad: No, shut up just for a second! Why won't you let me speak for one second! I'm not reliable. I'm not real deep. But you were lying to Katie because you were lying to yourself. You know, you wanted to be over Carly, but you weren't, and you used Katie to get back at Carly for her hurting you. And as soon as she got sick, you were right back where you wanted to be.

Carly: Yeah, Katie, it was all about you. When they told me I was going to die, my first thought was - how can I use this against Katie?

Katie: When I said give me a minute, I meant it because that's all it should take. I want to thank you.

Carly: For what?

Katie: For taking Jack back. Now I see it was going to happen sooner or later and sooner's better.

Carly: So you're saying we belong together then?

Katie: I think you're the worst thing that ever happened to him. Because you'll never leave him alone, which means there's a good chance he'll never be happy. I can only imagine how frightening it is to be the object of your affection.

Alison: You don't have a lot of trouble with confidence, do you?

Cole: But I'm real sensitive, too. I'll tell you all about it over that drink.

Alison: Sorry. I'm going to stick with the cider.

Cole: And the guy, too, right?

Alison: Right. Bye.

Cole: I hope that guy knows how lucky he really is.

Aaron: Real piece of work, huh?

Alison: It's not that big of a deal.

Aaron: I wonder if his pregnant girlfriend agrees. That's Cole.

Alison: As in Cole and Sofie?

Aaron: Yeah. Like two days ago, he was moving heaven and earth to be with Sofie, and he's already on the prowl.

Alison: Wow, what a creep.

Aaron: Yeah. I knew he didn't want the baby. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want Sofie, either. What the hell is he up to?

Alison: He just flew right under my radar. I feel like an idiot.

Aaron: Oh, no, he's good. No way he's tipping his hand. Except, maybe to you.

Emma: I think it's wonderful that Jack's going to be your legal daddy, but you know, ever since you were born, I know that you were a member of this family. Ooh! Snyder men in suits. Oh, oh, picture that! Get a picture of that. Oh, here you go. Oh. Oh, girls, watch your hearts, watch your hearts.

Jack: After we see the judge, I think we're going to go out for a little bit.

Parker: Okay. Jack?

Jack: Yeah.

Parker: Meet you outside.

Emma: Are you sure that Carly’s not going to be there?

Jack: Yeah, this is his decision, not me.

Emma: I mean, don't you think it's kind of a, you know, a family moment?

Jack: I don't think he's too keen on family moments right now.

Brad: That basement is scary. I kept thinking I was going to run into Mrs. Bates.

Emma: Oh, Mrs. Bates went home for Thanksgiving, don't worry.

[Cell phone rings]

Brad: Hey, how you doing?

Katie: Hey. I, well --

Brad: Katie? Is something wrong?

Katie: I just had a run-in with Carly. I don't know, I guess it threw me.

Brad: You want me to come down there? Where is there?

Katie: I'm at the diner with Henry and Vienna and they're doing this great dinner tomorrow to feed the homeless. I thought we could do something for Oakdale Now. We could really use your help tonight.

Brad: Sounds good to me. I need to stop by the studio, and then I'll head over there.

Katie: Great. And Brad, could you stop by the bakery and pick up some pies?

Brad: For you, anything. So, Emma, are these pies spoken for?

Alison: So let me get this straight, you want me to let this guy hit on me so I can then get information out of him?

Aaron: I wouldn't put it like that.

Alison: It doesn't matter how you put it, it's still insulting.

Aaron: Alison, Sofie is in really serious trouble.

Alison: Oh, and she's so pure and delicate and needs to be taken care of, whereas I'm just some --

Aaron: And I'm sorry I asked. I'm sorry that you took it that way.

Alison: You know, we talk and we laugh and I think that maybe we can go back, but the minute I try to forget who I was and you remind me. So just leave me alone!

Carly: I can't keep this money. It doesn't feel right to me.

Gwen: What if you gave it to someone who doesn't hate you?

Carly: Meaning someone who doesn't know me? I just had an idea.

Gwen: God, please, no.

Cole: Every time I see you, you're alone and throwing something out.

Alison: You're back.

Cole: And I repeat, you're still alone. Cider boy take off?

Alison: I guess you could say that.

Cole: And how about you let me buy you that drink.

Alison: No. I -- you know what? What the hell.

Carly: What are you still doing here?

Gwen: Replacing the mikes. The old ones blew out.

Carly: Were you singing again?

Carly: Brad? What the hell are you doing here?

Brad: I'm not really interested in doing you any more favors. I still regret the last one.

Carly: But I kept my word, didn't I?

Brad: That's not the point. I am tired of getting sucked into your little games. I want to be a better person.

Carly: For Katie.

Brad: She said you two had a run-in. Don't you think she deserves to be left alone?

Carly: By me. Not by you, just me.

Brad: Look, I'm helping her through a really tough time.

Carly: Look, Brad, you can only do that because I didn't rat you out. Let me remind that you didn't help Katie when you found out I was going to live, because that would have helped her back to Jack.

Brad: Why are we doing this?

Carly: I want you to recognize that you owe me. So you'll do what I tell you to do.

Vienna: She offered you money?

Katie: Yeah. She had a check.

Vienna: I'd like to rip her and that check into a thousand pieces.

Katie: I don't want to talk about her any more. I'm over it.

Henry: You're over it? Right. That's why you called Brad?

Gwen: I'm sorry about that. We really didn't know that Katie was here.

Vienna: It's not your fault. Maybe it was even good for Katie. Actually, you know, I think you and I should stay away from this subject.

Gwen: That would be good. I actually came by to see if Maddie would be back for Thanksgiving.

Henry: No, I think it's a little too early for her to come back.

Gwen: I understand that. I was just hoping to talk to her in person.

Henry: Something wrong?

Gwen: No, it's good news. Will and I are going to adopt a baby.

Henry: That's wonderful news. Why don't you look happy about it?

Gwen: I'm trying to be.

Alison: Another round?

Cole: The night is young.

Alison: Here, here. Let me get it.

Cole: I love you very much.

Alison: Another round.

Bartender: You still just want water?

Alison: Hey, a girl's got to keep her head, right? Thanks.

Cole: This song bites. This place bites. This town bites.

Alison: Then why are you here?

Cole: I'm moving to L.A. L.A. is great.

Alison: You going alone?

Cole: You're more than welcome to come along for the ride.

Alison: Yeah, well, L.A. might be great, but it's real expensive. You sure you can swing it?

Cole: In style. Between you and me, I'm coming into the bucks real soon. Just waiting on the delivery.

Iris: Hey, why don't you do me a favor, get me a vodka and cranberry juice, in honor of Thanksgiving. Get it quick. Lovely. Well, aren't you just a little too pregnant to be hanging out at bars?

Sofie: I'm waiting for Cole.

Iris: Story of your life. So, Sweetie, how are we feeling? Baby kicking all the time?

Sofie: Sometimes.

Iris: I get it. You don't want to talk about it. You know what i always tell myself? One day at a time, you know?

Sofie: Um, I guess I should thank you for the money. Cole's really excited about L.A.

Iris: Money? Money! Yes, money I gave you. You see, that just shows the kind of mother I am. You know, I try and help my kids out. Now listen, Sweetie, you know what? I've got to go. Getting up early to watch the parade.

Sofie: You're here all alone?

Iris: Oh, just for a while. Cole's running some errands.

Sofie: Yeah, yeah, had to pick something up.

Alison: So you can just take off like that? No strings?

Cole: Not a one.

Alison: How about broken hearts? Leaving any of those behind?

Cole: I'm a nice guy. I wouldn't do that. How about you? Want to do a road trip?

Alison: With you?

Cole: It would be a real nice way to get to know each other.

Brad: $100,000, and you just want to give it away?

Carly: Jack won't even talk to me. I want you to give it to him so he can use it for the kids.

Brad: Okay, okay. So when Jack asks me how you and I got so close that you would entrust this to me, what am I supposed to say?

Carly: Pretend you're talking to Katie. Just lie.

Brad: Oh, no, I'm done lying. I don't want everything to blow up in my face like it did you.

Carly: Okay, Brad. You can be as truthful as you want to be from now on, but that doesn't change the fact that you knew what I was doing and you don't want Katie to know you knew.

Brad: Yes, Carly, I knew you were lying. But I am done doing you favors. I wish I never had.

Jack: What are you looking at?

Parker: That frame, there. I think my adoption certificate would look really good in it.

Jack: You got it. Hey, listen, I have something for you, but before I give it to you, do you mind if I get sentimental for like 45 seconds?

Parker: Go.

Jack: Yeah, no pressure. Listen, you've always been like a son to me, and when you said you wanted to share my name, it just -- let me just say that this year I've got a lot to be thankful for.

Parker: I knew that. And --

Jack: You don't have to say anything. This is my 45 seconds. Here.

Parker: Snyder. Thanks, Dad.

Stan: Here's that research you wanted, Katie.

Katie: Oh, thank you. Oh, and I need to assemble a crew for Thanksgiving, just a small crew. Brad and I are going to be over at Al's and I want to cover those working for people in need.

Stan: I'll get right on it.

Katie: Okay, Stan, hit playback, we'll see if they're working.

[Recording of Brad and Carly’s conversation]

Brad: Yes, Carly, I knew you were lying. But I am done doing you favors.

Jack: What'd you have in mind?

Parker: You can go find Katie. You don't have to pretend you don't miss her. Especially not to your son.

Jack: Okay, see that name on your jacket? You know what that means? That means if something's really important, you don't talk about it. You hold it inside your brain until it explodes. Skeeball, right now, put a little wager on it –

Sofie: Thanks for letting me use the computer.

Aaron: Yeah, any time.

Sofie: Aaron? I know you don't like Cole, and I know you probably never will, but he's really trying to change things for us.

Aaron: I think he is, too.

Sofie: He's trying to do what's best for me and the baby. I know that's true, I know it.

Aaron: I wish he was, Sofie, I really do. Hey, I didn't expect to see you here, again, tonight, ever.

Alison: Yeah. I was really mad at you.

Aaron: Yeah, I got that.

Alison: So, I took Cole up on his offer, went to Yo’s with him. You're right. He's up to something bad and it's not going to be good for Sofie.

Carly: That's a great jacket. Is it yours?

Parker: Yeah. My name is Snyder now. We just went to the judge.

Carly: To do the adoption? Why didn't you tell me?

Parker: I didn't want him to. I didn't want you there.

Brad: If that's not enough pies, I could always go to the bakery. How many people are you expecting? You're not even going to talk to me?

Katie: Not after what you did last night, no.

Brad: I didn't do anything.

No, but you wanted to. You're not even going to lie about it?

Brad: I'm kind of off lies these days.

Stan: Okay, it's working, you can turn it off.

Katie: No, wait, let it play.

Carly: I kept my word, didn't I?

Brad: That's not the point, I'm tired of getting sucked into your little games. I want to be a better person.

Carly: For Katie.

Carly: Parker, could I talk to your dad for a moment, please?

Parker: Whatever.

Carly: You know, I'm still his mother, no matter what I've done. I had a right to be there. Is this your idea of a punishment?

Jack: Carly, he told you himself it was his idea, not mine.

Parker: Can we go now?
