Holden: I'm gonna have the cheeseburger deluxe, a mocha shake, and you know what? Give me an extra order of fries.

Waitress: You must have a big appetite.

Holden: It's my son.

Waitress: Be right out.

Lily: Oh wow. That's a lot of food. I thought Luke would want a home-cooked meal his first night from the hospital.

Holden: Maybe. But just in case, I ordered all his favorites.

Lily: Won't be the same without the whole family together.

Holden: Ethan and the girls are keeping Luke company out at the farm.

Lily: I still don't understand why Luke can't come back to our house.

Holden: I need to be with Luke right now, and I'm staying out at the farm.

Lily: Yeah, that was your choice, not mine. Was it really worth turning the entire family upside down just to punish me?

Faith: Let me get it.

Luke: Thanks. So, is Mom going to be coming home tonight?

Faith: Not sure.

Luke: Are she and Dad, like, avoiding each other or what?

Faith: Well they were together the whole time you were in the hospital.

Luke: Yeah, but that was pretty tense.

Faith: They're worried about you.

Luke: Uh-huh. Well that's what Dad said. He said that he wanted me here because this way he could look after me and help Grandma with stuff here at the farm. But that sounds kind of sketchy.

Faith: I think he said there was too many stairs at home.

Luke: Okay Faith -- you know what? We both know that's not true. So why don't you tell me the truth? Is there something going on between Mom and Dad?

Faith: Promise me you won't tell them I told you -- but it's bad. Really bad.

Paul: Did you do this on purpose?

Meg: Of course not. I wasn't even sure that I could get pregnant. So when Craig wanted to throw out the birth control -- I don't know, it --

Paul: What were you thinking?

Meg: I wasn't. I wasn't thinking.

Paul: Are you going to have this baby with Craig?

Meg: I never wanted this to happen, Paul.

Paul: Yeah, well some part of you must've wanted this to happen because some part of you let this happen. I hope you're happy. Because now you're going to have to live with it.

Craig: We have a deal, Rosanna. And there is no backing out of it now. You said as soon as I got Meg pregnant, you were going to drop the lawsuit and give us back control of Montgomery Enterprises.

Rosanna: Well, Meg didn't look to happy when you made your announcement.

Craig: She's nervous, like a lot of first-timers. She wants to be a perfect mommy. She's afraid she's going to fall short. I keep on telling her, she's a natural. She's been looking forward to this as much as I have.

Rosanna: Don't kid yourself.

Craig: Let's forget about Meg for a moment. You and I have an agreement.

Rosanna: Yes and the deal was that you would have a child with Meg to keep her from going after Paul. But what if Meg decides she doesn't want to have this child with you?

Craig: She does.

Rosanna: Don't be so sure.

Meg: Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Can we just talk about this?

Paul: No. Okay, did you want to conceive a child with Craig?

Meg: No, I didnít. I didn't even know that I could get pregnant.

Paul: Then how could you let Craig do this to you?

Meg: He still is my husband.

Paul: Well I guess you took your wedding vows a little more seriously than you led me to believe. You made a choice. If you knew Craig was going to try and get you pregnant why didn't you stop him? Why didn't you turn him down? You made a choice! If you have Craig's child, Meg, you are going to have to live with that choice for the rest of your life!

Craig: Pre-wedding jitters is one thing, Rosanna, but paranoia doesn't suit you.

Rosanna: I'm not paranoid, I'm a realist. Meg is nothing if not impulsive. There is no guarantee that she's not going to panic and leave you.

Craig: She is Emma Snyderís daughter. She was raised to know right from wrong. There is no way she's going to be unfaithful to the father of her child.

Rosanna: That may be wishful thinking.

Craig: Look, it doesn't matter! All you have to do is tell your lawyer to cease and desist all litigation. And control of Montgomery Enterprises will be back to us by the end of the night.

Rosanna: No, no. You are not getting your greedy little hands back on the company until I am happily married to Paul, and Meg has given birth to your child. Now, that is the deal, so you take it or leave it.

Meg: Paul, if you believe anything right now, you need to believe this. I do not want to have a baby with Craig.

Paul: Yeah well, you're having one.

Meg: You are also ignoring a very important fact. I also slept with you, Paul. This child I'm carrying could be yours.

Paul: Oh come on. Chances of that are virtually non-existent and you know it. Craig wanted you to get pregnant. Craig wanted that. He just proved it with his self-serving, smug speech about -- he planned it so that Rosanna and I would be there to hear his happy news.

Meg: I didn't know what Craig was going to do. Somehow he found my pregnancy test. I didn't want him to know. I wanted to tell you first. I swear, Paul, the last thing I wanted was for you to hear it like that.

Paul: Yeah well, Craig got what he wanted. Now Craig is going to get what he always wanted.

Meg: Look, I don't blame you for being angry.

Paul: Of course I'm angry. Do you not remember what we did? Do you not remember what we had to do to protect Jennifer from Craig? Do you not remember what we had to do to keep Craig from getting his claws in my sister's son?

Meg: This is different, completely different.

Paul: He is a monster parent. His oldest son is dead. His youngest son is gone because his daughter ran away with him. He is an animal, he eats his young and he's out of victims, so he's using you to make a new one.

Meg: He can only use me if I let myself be used, and I won't do that.

Paul: He is already using you, Meg, because you're pregnant. Do you seriously think that Craig is ever going to let go of you and his baby? Ever?

Rosanna: I know you would like to think of Meg as some sort of saint, but she wouldn't think twice about pulling some sort of stunt to stop my wedding to Paul.

Craig: That won't happen. But if you don't drop this lawsuit, your marriage might be at serious risk.

Rosanna: Are you threatening me?

Craig: I am trying to be nice. Don't force me to tell Paul why you lost your memory in court and refused to testify against me.

Rosanna: I've already been honest with Paul about that.

Craig: No, no. You couldn't have told him everything. I'm sure he doesn't know about our little agreement, for instance. No, that would be way too tough to explain to Paul.

Rosanna: You know, you shouldn't act so smug. You have your own problems with Meg. Especially if she changes her mind about having this baby with you.

Craig: For the last time, I'm telling you that's not going to happen! Now you get on your phone with your lawyer, now! And you tell him to cease and desist all litigation. I want confirmation tonight that Montgomery Enterprises is back in our control, or you wedding -- that's never going to happen.

[Rosanna sighs]

Meg: I could leave Craig whenever I want.

Paul: He'd never let you. He'd do whatever he had to to keep his claws on you so that he could raise his kid.

Meg: No, I would tell him and that I want to be with you.

Paul: Craig destroys everything he touches. And you and his baby are next.

Meg: No, wait, Paul. Please -- please! Come on, we have to -- we have to find a way through this.

Paul: No, it's too late.

Meg: No, no, it's not too late if we love each other.

Paul: The moment that you decided to have a baby with Craig was the moment that you

Meg: I'm curious, Paul. What do you expect me to do?

Paul: I don't care what you do. I'm marrying Rosanna. She's my future. You -- you're with Craig now. He's your future. God help you.

Faith: They've been fighting for weeks -- ever since Dusty got arrested and Mom bailed him out. Made Dad really mad.

Luke: Yeah, but Mom was right. Dusty's innocent.

Faith: Well, it made Dad mad that Mom was taking Dusty's side. And it all got worse when you got hurt.

Luke: Yeah, but this isn't Mom's fault.

Faith: I don't know why, but Dad blames her. And that's why he moved out.

Luke: And that's why he brought me here.

Faith: Dad's living here now, and so are you. Face it, Luke, our parents are splitting up.

Luke: Faith I -- I don't know, I just really hope you're wrong.

Faith: Me too. But what if I'm not?

Holden: Lily, I did not move Luke out to the farm to punish you.

Lily: Really? What other reason could there be? And don't give me logistics. Because there's plenty of rooms on the first floor of our house where Luke could stay.

Holden: I'm not living there anymore. I moved out, remember?

Lily: How could I forget?

Holden: We shouldn't be under the same roof right now.

Lily: So you're going to keep me away from my son.

Holden: No! No, I would never do that to you. You can come out to the farm. You can see Luke as much as you want. But I need to be with him right now. He needs me to do things for him. I need to help him get around.

Lily: There's things that I can do for him, too. He is our son. He needs his mother and his father more than ever right now. We need to be together as a family to work through this as a family together.

Holden: I'm doing the best I can.

Lily: What about the rest of us? The rest of your family?

Holden: Well, we need to make sure that we don't fight in front of them.

Lily: Fighting seems to be the only way we can communicate these days. You know, if I could go back and change what happened, I would.

Holden: Yeah well, we can't go back. That's the problem.

Waitress: All set.

Holden: Thank you. Keep the change.

Waitress: Thank you.

Holden: I need to get this stuff to Luke.

Dusty: Anything I can do?

Lily: Thank you.

Dusty: Does that herbal stuff really help?

Lily: Can't hurt. I don't know if I should drink this. I should go. I should go see Luke.

Dusty: You shouldn't drive.

Lily: I'm okay.

Dusty: No, you're not. And I'm sorry for the problems I caused you and Holden.

Lily: No. Would you stop? It's not your fault. As far as Holden's concerned, I can't do anything right.

Dusty: Well, if you want me to keep my distance --

Lily: No. It feels good to have a friend.

Dusty: You better drink that herbal stuff before it gets cold.

Lily: Oh, and another thing, no more run-ins with Holden. Please. He shouldn't use you as his punching bag. And thank you for your restraint. I'm sure you wanted to punch him back, and you didnít. Thank you.

Dusty: I didn't want to make things worse for you.

Lily: Oh, I was so mad at him. He used to be one of the most reasonable people that I knew. That's all gone now. It's like he's possessed.

Dusty: Well, I guess to him, every time he turns his back, we're together.

Lily: You know what? I'm not going to let Holden bully me into telling me who my friends are.

Lucinda: Hi. This is all very cozy, isn't it?

Holden: Faith, would you keep the music down? Ethan's trying to sleep! I probably just woke him up myself.

Luke: Well, he sleeps better at home.

Holden: You haven't touched your food. I thought you loved Al's fries.

Luke: I'm not really that hungry.

Holden: You know what? You gotta keep up your strength. You've got a lot of work ahead of you to get back on your feet again.

Luke: Dad, can we be honest here?

Holden: Yes, we can be honest. I really do believe that you are going to walk again.

Luke: Okay, no, no, no. I'm not even talking about that. I'm talking about you and Mom. Look, the only reason that I'm here is because you moved out of the house.

Lily: I didn't expect to see you here, Mother.

Lucinda: Well no, it's not one of my usual haunts.

Lily: No?

Lucinda: On the other hand -- no it's not. But the Swedish health food is daringly original.

Dusty: The Intruder could use a new food critic, you know, if you're interested.

Lucinda: Oh, gosh. No, not right now. I really -- I have family things that I have to attend to. Darling, I have found a wonderful new physical therapist for Luke. He's the best. And the first session is this evening. Don't you think you should rush over to the farm to give moral support?

Lily: I was just on my way.

Dusty: Listen, drive carefully.

Lily: I will. Thank you. Goodnight, Mother.

Lucinda: Goodnight, Darling. Thank you.

Dusty: Well that was subtle.

Lucinda: Just about as subtle as your tea and sympathy routine, Darling. It isn't helping.

Dusty: I'm just trying to be a friend.

Lucinda: True friends know when it's time to back off.

Luke: You still haven't answered my question.

Holden: Moving in here, it's best for your recovery.

Luke: Oh come on, Dad. That's bull and we both know it. It's just a smokescreen because you moved out on Mom.

Holden: Just try to relax, okay?

Luke: Look, both of you have always told me that this family has to stick together, especially in times of crisis. You guys have got me through the worst times of my entire life.

Holden: That's right. That's what parents do.

Luke: Yeah, but back then, back when I was in the closet, you wanna know what hurt that most? That I wasn't being honest with myself, or with other people. So can we just be honest here?

Holden: Of course we can.

Luke: Okay, good. So will you tell me what's going on with you and Mom?

Holden: You know what, Luke? It's very complicated -- and I don't want you to have to deal with this.

Luke: Yeah but Dad, the stuff that I'm coming up with in my own mind is probably a lot worse than what's actually happening.

Holden: You know what? Your mom and I, we have a lot of problems.

Luke: Obviously.

Holden: Okay, she knew that Dusty suspected Win Mayer had killed his wife. If she had confided in me, I might've been able to protect you. I could've kept you away from him, and none of this would have happened.

Rosanna: Thank you so much for getting it all done at this late hour. I realize that it couldn't have been easy, but it was urgent. Yes, I'll be in touch.

Paul: Hi.

Rosanna: Hi, I didn't hear you come in.

Paul: Sounded serious.

Rosanna: Uh, yes. It was my lawyer. I decided to drop the litigation against Montgomery Enterprises.

Paul: You did what?

Rosanna: Well I gave Craig and Meg back control of the company. I just wanted to put it all behind us.

Paul: Have you lost your mind?

Rosanna: I just don't want to fight anymore.

Paul: Wait, first, you won't testify against Craig. And now you're giving him back his financial power base? What the hell is going on between you and Craig?

 -------------------------------------

Craig: Hey Meg.

Meg: Hey.

Craig: You all right?

Meg: Yes, it's just -- I can explain.

Craig: I thought you were going to be meeting a client?

Meg: Yeah, they just left. I'm not sure I can take the case. It's complicated.

Craig: Apparently. Is that why you're upset?

Meg: No, Craig, I'm pregnant. I'm emotional, I guess. Nothing to worry about.

Craig: Hey Meg -- if we're going to have a successful marriage, and raise a child together, that is going to take trust. Please, tell me the truth. What's wrong?

Meg: It was Paul.

Paul: What's going on with you and Craig?

Rosanna: When I realized that Craig and Meg were expecting a child, I just realized the best thing to do was to drop the lawsuit.

Paul: That's the best thing to do, why?

Rosanna: Well no child should come into the world with an uncertain future.

Paul: Why all of a sudden do you care about them or their child?

Rosanna: Well I just want to move on. I mean, Craig and Meg are having a family and you and I are getting married. I thought it might be nice if we all just turned the page.

Paul: So you gave Craig a multi-million dollar company as some kind of a baby shower gift?

Rosanna: You know, Paul, if you and I are going to be happy, you're going to have to drop the vendetta against Craig.

Paul: Wait, now hold on a second. Don't do that. Don't -- don't turn this into something I did. This is about what you didnít you made a decision like this right after Craig makes this huge announcement that he knocked up Meg. That's a coincidence? Does he have something on you? Is Craig holding something over your head?

Rosanna: What are you accusing me of?

Paul: I'm -- you're not telling me the truth. Tell me the truth.

Rosanna: You want to know the truth? You want to know the truth? Okay. Let's talk about the truth. Let's do some little truth-telling. And why don't you go first? Are you upset because you really think I made a deal with your sworn enemy? Or are you really upset because Meg is pregnant with Craig's child?

Rosanna: I saw how you reacted when Craig announced the pregnancy.

Paul: Don't do that. Don't change the subject. You're ducking the question. Did you and Craig have a deal, or not?

Rosanna: No. How could you even ask me that?

Paul: Because I caught you two. I saw you right here toasting with our champagne. Is that when you two sealed the deal?

Rosanna: No, it was nothing like that.

Paul: So you just gave a multi-million dollar company to Craig out of the goodness of your heart?

Rosanna: Look, if you want me to be honest, I mean -- I'm glad that Meg is pregnant. I'm very happy that she's having a baby, because anything that ties her to Craig for the rest of her life makes me overjoyed. And having a baby will do exactly that. Between the new baby and running the company, they're both going to be way too busy to cause us any more problems.

Paul: 30 years in Statesville prison would keep Craig plenty busy.

Rosanna: Leaving Meg free to go after you? I don't think so. No, you want the truth? Yes, I'm very jealous of what you had with Meg. And I have good reason to be jealous, don't I?

Meg: While I was waiting for my meeting, Paul showed up. He was very upset with me.

Craig: Paul has no right to be upset with you.

Meg: He thinks I'm asking for trouble.

Craig: What did he say?

Meg: That you destroy everyone you love, especially your children.

Craig: Meg, nothing is going to happen to you or to this child because of me.

Meg: I wish I could believe you, Craig.

Craig: Meg, it's true, I have made terrible mistakes with my other children. And I've learned from them. I've changed. Loving you has changed me. And I want this child to be a new beginning -- for both of us. I thought you wanted that, too. Baby, come on. Come on, let's get out of here.

Paul: What do you want me to say?

Rosanna: Well you could tell me that I have no reason to worry about Meg.

Paul: Would you accept that?

Rosanna: Look, we're supposed to be getting married -- on Halloween. And I don't want it to be some sort of masquerade. I -- I want it to be a beautiful ceremony. So if we're going to make this lifetime commitment, I think it's really important that we really put all of our cards on the table.

Paul: All right. Go ahead.

Rosanna: Well, I just need to know if you still have feelings for Meg. I mean, you can't stand the fact that she's carrying Craig's child, can you?

Paul: I made a commitment to you. I love you. I always have. We're getting married.

Rosanna: But how can we get married if you're still not over Meg?

Lily: How could you tell Luke that I knew that man was dangerous? He's going to blame me for putting him in that wheelchair.

Holden: Lily, you didn't do this to Luke.

Lily: Yeah, but you told him I could've prevented it! What were you thinking?

Holden: He asked me a direct question. And I was not going to lie to him.

Lily: You know what? Holden, you can be as angry as you want, but I will not let you come between me and my son. Before you say anything, I just -- I just want you to know that I regret that this happened to you. And if I felt that my negligence contributed to you being hurt, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.

Luke: Look Mom, it's not your fault. None of us knew that Colonel Mayer was that sick.

Lily: I just wish I could have stopped him. I wish I would've shared what I knew about him to your father. Maybe it would've changed things.

Luke: I'm sorry.

Lily: Sorry? You have nothing to be sorry about.

Luke: I don't want this to make things worse for you and Dad.

Lily: Oh, Honey, no. It's not your fault. None of this is your fault.

Dusty: Lily's upset. I bought her some herbal tea. I hear it works wonders. Let's not make a federal case out of it.

Lucinda: Look Darling, let's just look at the facts of the case.

Dusty: Let's do it.

Lucinda: Shall we look at them, please?

Dusty: Yeah.

Lucinda: Lily's marriage is in crisis. You seem to be a flashpoint. Wouldn't it be the better part of valor to steer clear of her? Yes. No?

Dusty: Lily's a grownup. She doesn't need us telling her what to do.

Lucinda: Yes, but you are always taking Lily's side. Surely you can see that that is problem for Holden?

Dusty: Yes, I can.

Lucinda: You agree with me?

Dusty: Yeah, I try not to make it a habit, but in this case, yeah, absolutely. I don't want to ruin Lily's life. I have enough regrets in my life. Believe me. I'm going to give Lily all the space she needs.

Lucinda: Oh, well that's wonderful. Hey, we understand each other. It's so easy with us. Gee, if it were just as easy for poor Holden and Lily.

Lily: I brought Luke's favorite video games and DVDs. I know you don't have the big-screen TV here, but you can play it on the computer.

Holden: Here, I'll take that. Listen, if you have things to do, if you have to go, I can take care of Luke.

Lily: Oh no. I really donít.

Holden: Natalie and Faith want to stay over, so I was thinking I could just keep Ethan as well. I'm sure you could use the break.

Lily: No, I'm fine. I really -- you're taking on too much.

Holden: You know what? It's not a problem. Really.

Lily: Actually, I wanted to stay to meet the physical therapist that my mother found.

Holden: You know what? You might want to rethink that. Might make Luke uncomfortable if he thinks his mother is hovering.

Lily: We wouldn't want that, would we? I guess I'll go. Bye, Sweetheart. I love you.

Luke: Bye. See you in the morning?

Lily: Wild horses wouldn't keep me away.

Luke: You shouldn't have made Mom leave like that.

Lucinda: Hey! Hey, hi. What are you doing here? I mean, you're going to get arrested for a hit and run.

Lily: This night can't get any worse.

Lucinda: Oh Honey, come on. Let's sit down.

Lily: I -- I don't need a lecture from my mother right now.

Lucinda: It looks like you need something, Darling. Some help.

Lily: I've heard it all t-before, Mother. I've heard it all before. Focus on my family. Make Holden forgive me. Oh I know. I know.

Lucinda: It's very good advice. Why aren't you following any of it?

Lily: But Holden just humiliated me in front of Luke. He made it sound like it was my fault that Luke is in that wheelchair.

Lucinda: Oh, don't say that. Donít.

Lily: And if my son never walks again, Holden will make sure that everybody knows that it's my fault.

Lucinda: But it's not true.

Lily: But to Holden, it is. You know something, Mother? Over the years, my marriage to Holden has been tested and I thought we could get through anything. No matter what. But I don't think we can this time.

Lucinda: Honey --

Lily: No, I'm serious.

Lucinda: Don't say that.

Lily: I don't think we can survive this one.

Luke: So don't take this the wrong way, Dad. From where I'm sitting, you're being a complete jerk.

Holden: Excuse me?

Luke: I'm serious. It's not like Mom put me in this wheelchair.

Holden: I know that. But I still think that if she had been honest with me, we could've prevented this.

Luke: Look, Dad, we don't know that. But bottom line, I'm not blaming Mom for this. So why should you? Unless there's something else you can't forgive her for.

Dusty: I guess the herbal tea didn't work.

Lily: Yeah, I guess you could say I'm having one of those nights.

Dusty: More trouble at home?

Lily: That would be an understatement. Seems like you're always here when I need your help.

Dusty: I don't think you should be around me right now.

Lily: Please, don't say that. I feel like I'm losing everybody that I care about. I can't lose you, too! What am I going to do?

Dusty: It's okay.

Lily: What am I going to do?

Dusty: Hey, it's all right.

Lily: Oh God.

Dusty: Come with me.

Paul: I'm over Meg. I already told you that.

Rosanna: No. You will always have feelings for Meg Snyder. And now the fact she's carrying everything --

Paul: She's having Craig's baby, that's her choice. Okay? That's her business! Why would I even care?

Rosanna: Maybe because I can't carry a baby? Maybe it's that?

Paul: No, Rosanna. I didn't -- I've never feel that way -- I don't think that.

Rosanna: Maybe the reason you won't drop the vendetta against Craig is because he has what you want -- Meg.

Paul: No, I hate Craig for what he's done to you. And I don't want Meg! Not anymore.

Rosanna: You know, the truth is, is that you will never be able to just love me. Me and only me. And I cannot stand that. I cannot live with that. I cannot share you with anybody else. I'm sorry Paul -- the wedding is off.

Craig: I hope you brought your appetite.

Meg: This is a lot of food, Craig.

Craig: Come on, you're eating for two. Wait until the real cravings kick in. Now I have ordered everything that a pregnant woman would want. Not this happens to be a Swedish favorite. I think its herring.

Meg: I'll stick with the milkshake.

Craig: Oh, okay. Sure. Let me get it for you. Here you go.

Meg: You're being very sweet, Craig.

Craig: Yeah, well one of these days, once and for all, I'm going to prove that Paul Ryan is wrong about me. I've done a lot of things in my life that I regret. But from now on, I want to do things right. I want to give you and that baby that we are having together all the love and the security that you will ever need. What's wrong? I didn't mean to make you sad about -- you know what? Hey, okay. Hey, let's start over. I got some good news.

Meg: What?

Craig: Well, I heard from the lawyer. Rosanna has dropped the lawsuit. The corporation is ours again. We don't have to worry about where we're going to live, how we're going to put junior through college. The future's looking very bright.

Meg: I don't believe it. How did this happen?

Craig: I told you, Rosanna changed her mind.

Meg: But why? Did you threaten her?

Craig: Of course not. I think she just heard our good news and decided to do the right thing.

Meg: Is this why you made the announcement that I'm pregnant in public? To pressure Rosanna into doing what you wanted? Because there's more to this than you're telling me, Craig. So what is it?

[Cell phone ringing]

Rosanna: Hello?

Paul: Rosanna, where are you?

Rosanna: I went for a drive in the country. I just passed the cabin where you used to live with Meg.

Paul: You need to come home. Put the driver on.

Rosanna: I'm not with my driver. I just -- just want to be alone.

Paul: You haven't driven the last time you were behind a wheel was when Craig ran you off the road!

Rosanna: Look, it just doesn't matter. I don't care anymore.

[Tires squeal]

Paul: Rosanna?

Craig: I did speak to Rosanna. She seemed genuinely happy for us.

Meg: So she just decided to give back the corporation?

Craig: Yes. Something that I thought would please you. But obviously not. Are you having second thoughts about running the corporation? Or are you having second thoughts about our future together?

[Rosanna flashback]

[Rosanna remembers Craig trying to run her off the road and imagines its Craig behind her]

Paul: She's going to kill herself!

[Tires squeal]

Holden: Luke, your mom and I have tried to work things out. Countless times. But the problems that we're having -- you know, they go back a long time -- way before and then this happened.

Luke: Yeah, but you still blame her for me getting hurt, and that's -- that's just crazy!

Holden: I can't help but feel that you're paying the price for your mother's mistake.

Luke: Dad, there is one person to blame for this, and he's going to jail. And it's not Mom. But -- but okay that's not even the point. The most important thing is your relationship. That's something that I've never had, and because of this wheelchair, I might never get to have.

Holden: Luke, you're going to get better.

Luke: But will you and Mom? You've got to make up with her, Dad. You can't keep pushing her away, or you're going to lose her.

Lily: Thank you. I don't want my employees to see me upset.

Dusty: Your mother warned me to keep my distance.

Lily: Thank you. Thank God you don't listen to my mother.

Dusty: Though in this case, she's right. You should go home to Holden.

Lily: Holden moved out. He doesn't want me around him anymore. That's why I need you, Dusty. I really -- I really need a friend tonight.

Paul: Rosanna. Rosanna! Hey! Rosanna! Rosanna?

Craig: I need to know if you're having second thoughts about starting a family with me.

[Meg remembering]

Paul: I don't care what you do. I'm marrying Rosanna. She is my future. You -- you're having Craig's baby. He's your future. God help you.

Craig: If we're having a baby together, I want to be committed Meg -- to make up for all the mistakes we've ever made. I give you my solemn vow to be a loving, faithful husband, and to be a devoted and dependable father to our child. I want you and our child to be the happiest mother and baby in the whole world!

Paul: Hey. Rosanna, hey.

Rosanna: Paul?

Paul: Hi.

Rosanna: Paul --

Paul: Oh thank God. I don't ever want to lose you again.

[Rosanna crying]

Paul: Promise me you'll marry me.

Rosanna: I will.

Paul: You know, you're the only one I want. And I'll never let anyone or anything come between us.

On the next "As the World Turns."

Iris: I'll give you all the money that you need to get back on your feet. The only thing you have to do is just -- leave Oakdale.

Holden: Hey Frank, I'm looking for Lily. She's not in her office.

Frank: Oh, she just called from Mr. Donovan's room.

Holden: Another one. Make it a double.

Emily: Rough night, Holden?
