Will: You sure you feel okay to work tonight?

Gwen: Yeah, I'm fine. It's probably just, like a stomach bug or something.

Will: I'd really much rather you just call in sick.

Gwen: No. I want you to stop worrying you need to take care of your mom right now. Okay?

Will: Okay. You'll call if you need anything, right? I'll be right upstairs. If you start to feel worse call me.

Gwen: I promise.

Alison: Same quality, same price, I assume.

Jesse: What? Didn't your mother teach you not to assume?

Alison: Quit playing games. Are you selling or not?

Jesse: Maybe. Maybe not. See, you and I have some unfinished business, Alison.

[Aaron comes around the corner and sees them and hides behind the wall to watch them]

Alison: What are you talking about?

Jesse: You, me, hotel room, certain video starring yourself? Your sister's boyfriend got rowdy before I got to see the good part.

Alison: What do you want?

Jesse: I think I'd like to get your payment in trade. What do you say? A little bump for you in exchange for a little performance for myself.

[Aaron remembering]

Aaron: All right.

Alison: Where are we headed?

Aaron: Wherever we end up.

Alison: Is it always going to be this hard when we see each other?

Aaron: I don't know.

Alison: I mean, I just wish since you're sticking around maybe we could find some way to be friends.

Aaron: Listen, just so we're clear? My staying here has nothing to do with you.

Aaron: That's right, Alison. It's not because of you.

J.J.: You know my mom?

Ava: I'm sorry. I should have introduced myself. I'm Ava -- Ava Jenkins. Your mom and I were roommates in nursing school back in Texas.

J.J.: In Dallas?

Ava: No, Waco. You trying to trap me, Kid? You're right to be wary of strangers. But I'm not really a stranger. Let's see -- the last time I saw you, you were only like this high. But now I can see you're so much more grown up. I can see how much you really look like your mom. She was really pretty.

J.J.: Yeah, if you're looking for her, she's --

Ava: I know. She passed away. I am so sorry. I can't imagine how hard that must have been to lose her like that.

J.J.: Well, I have a new mom now.

Ava: Hey, that's great! You're a lucky guy. And the way you call her mom, too -- I guess you must love her a lot.

J.J.: Yeah, yeah -- the only thing is, is that the way things are going right now, she might not be around much longer either.

Vienna: Wow, the more I look at this, the more it says Katie. It sparkles just like she does. It's an excellent choice.

Jack: I couldn't have done it without your expert eye, Vienna.

Vienna: Ah, but I wish I could see her face when you slip it on her finger. Maybe I'll hide behind one of the plants and I'll watch.

Jack: You know how I said I wasn't nervous before? Now I'm getting nervous.

Vienna: Not getting ice feet, do you?

Jack: No, no, absolutely not. It's been a long time since I'd been jittering before a date though.

Vienna: Well, you deserve to be happy, Jack. And Katie, she's a wonderful woman. And she loves you so much.

Jack: Maybe my life's finally getting in gear. You know that feeling you get when you're sure you're doing the right thing? That's where I am. And it feels good.

Katie: Can I get a coffee to go, please?

Tina: In a hurry, Katie?

Katie: Tina, oh my God, I didn't know you were working here now.

Tina: I loved WOAK, but the hours here are more flexible. You look incredible.

Katie: I do? Great! Well, I do have a very special evening coming up with Jack. I've been shopping all day and I'm totally behind schedule.

Tina: You are going to knock him dead.

Katie: Not before he proposes, I hope. Thanks. Take care. It was good to see you.

Brad: Well, hey, fancy running into you here. Okay, okay -- I saw your car in the parking lot and I came in on purpose.

Katie: And I should care about that, why?

Brad: Because I want to apologize to you.

Katie: For what? Which of the many devious things that you've done to me, 'cause the list is so long.

Brad: Look, I'm sorry for making you think that Jack was going to propose to you when he wasnít.

Katie: Oh, save your breath. Doesn't matter what you did, Jack's proposing to me tonight anyway.

Brad: Are you kidding?

Katie: No. So, if you'll excuse me, I do have to get ready for my engagement dinner.

Brad: Whoa, talk about overcompensating.

Katie: Was that little not-so-under-the-breath comment for me?

Brad: I'm just surprised that Jack is going so far to try to make up for how he hurt you.

Katie: He didn't know what I was expecting, Brad. You're the one who hurt me, by lying to me.

Brad: So what happened? He just felt so guilty that he wanted to make you feel better by proposing to you anyway?

Katie: Thank you! Thanks for taking a beautiful thing and making it so ugly.

Brad: Katie. Katie, come on -- you can't see the timing is a little suspect here. You cannot honestly think that this is a good idea.

Katie: Stop it! Stop it! You're just trying to get to me again, and it's not going to work. Just get out of here!

Brad: Well, I just got here. You're the one leaving.

Katie: Right. Well, not anymore. You're going to leave and I'm going to watch you go, because it would be just like you to follow me and try to ruin my night.

Brad: You're really insecure.

Katie: Get out!

Brad: All right. You're the one making a really big mistake here.

Vienna: Okay, Jack, go home and put on your best clothes, then get back here and give your fiancťe a night to remember. You know my room number?

Jack: Your room?

Vienna: Yeah, you're picking up Katie there. I'm dressing her the big date --

Jack: Right, right, right -- that's right.

Vienna: Do I need to drive you home and get you dressed, too?

Jack: No, I'm fine. Thanks, thanks again.

Vienna: Bye.

Jack: Bye.

Gwen: Hey.

Carly: Hey. Oh, Gwen? You don't look so good.

Gwen: I don't feel very good either.

Jesse: If I'd realized what a celeb you were when you got back to town --

Alison: I'm not in the business anymore, Jesse.

Jesse: You could have fooled me because that little flick you played, selling like gangbusters --

Alison: Look, if you want my business, you'll take cold, hard cash because that's all I'm offering. So do we have a deal or not?

Jesse: Hand over the cash. Now if you change your mind --

Alison: Get a life.

Ava: Why do you think your mom's not going to be around anymore? Is she taking a trip?

J.J.: Well, my mom and dad aren't together anymore. And so my dad, he's getting married again and --

Ava: And what?

J.J.: I don't really know you.

Ava: I feel as if I know you. Your mom was like a sister to me. Did you know that your mom used to write great letters?

J.J.: Yeah, sure. She used to write letters to me all the time when I was little.

Ava: Really? Then I bet you'd like to know that I still carry a letter in my purse that your mom wrote me.

J.J.: Well, how come?

Ava: I guess I just like to remember how close we were. You want to read it?

J.J.: Okay.

Ava: Let's see -- oh, there it is. You see there? Where she talks about the music box I gave her?

J.J.: Yeah, yeah, I know that one. Yeah. But I never knew where she got it from.

Ava: It was in a trunk of stuff I gave to Julia when I was moving because I didn't have room for it. J.J.? I know this is a huge favor, but do you think I could have that one thing back? I mean, I miss your mom so much and looking at that music box would really make me feel close to her again.

J.J.: Whoa, I really don't know -- I'd have to talk to my dad first.

Ava: No, you can't do that.

Carly: Oh, Gwen, you don't look much better.

Gwen: I don't feel much better either.

Carly: Well, I talked to the manager. I told him that you weren't feeling well. He said that you should go.

Gwen: No, Carly, you shouldn't have done that --

Carly: So, what I'll do is, I'll call Will, and he'll come get you.

Gwen: No, please, please. Will's dealing with his mom right now. Honestly, it's nothing.

Carly: It is not nothing. You're clearly sick.

Gwen: It's just a stomach bug. Honestly, I can work through it.

Carly: That is ridiculous. I'll take you home myself. Okay?

Gwen: Are you sure? 'Cause I mean, I saw Jack come in here earlier and if you --

Carly: Jack's plans have nothing to do with me.

Gwen: Well, I mean, if you guys are going to have a --

Carly: He's proposing to Katie tonight.

Gwen: Excuse me?

Carly: My sentiments exactly.

Gwen: Well, Carly, I'm really -- I'm so sorry -- I don't know why I thought that --

Carly: That Jack and I would be getting back together? Well, we will. It just hasn't happened yet.

Gwen: I thought that you just said that Jack was proposing to Katie. I don't understand.

Carly: Well, I know Jack. And I know he's not proposing to Katie because he wants her. He's proposing to Katie because he still wants me.

Brad: Jack! I heard what you're planning to do tonight.

Jack: And don't tell me -- don't tell me you couldn't wait to congratulate me.

Brad: Think twice about this, Man. Tying the knot is no way to get back at me.

Jack: What does me asking Katie to marry me have to do with you?

Brad: Okay, you and I -- come on. We both know that it's a knee-jerk reaction to the stunt that I pulled.

Jack: Whoa! So my proposal is what? Just a consolation prize? Brad, I love her. I want her to be my wife.

Brad: And you just now realized this? Just -- whoo!

Jack: No, of course not. No, it's been growing between Katie and me. But I want to thank you for pointing out the next logical step. I'm not above recognizing a good idea when I see one. Even when it comes from you.

Brad: You can't see what you're doing?

Jack: I'm marrying a beautiful woman. Yes. Despite your eight million attempts to stop me.

Brad: Are you serious?

Jack: Hold on a second. If I wasn't serious, I wouldn't have bought that. There's nothing you can say or do, is going to keep me from putting this on Katie's finger, tonight.

Alison: Woo hoo! That was washed? Mom, are you home? Good.

[Knock on the door]

Aaron: Alison! I know you're home. Open up the door.

Alison: Aaron --

Aaron: What were you doing that you couldn't get to the door?

Alison: Maybe I wasn't sure I wanted to see anybody. What are you doing here?

Aaron: I need to talk to you.

Alison: You made it pretty clear how you feel.

Aaron: I know. I know, but after Dusty came to see me --

Alison: If you're here to accuse me of throwing myself at Dusty or something --

Aaron: No, no, no. Alison, listen. Hey. Listen. I'm here because I care about you. I can't help it, I just do.

Ava: It's not that I don't want your dad to know I was asking about the music box.

J.J.: Then why shouldn't I say anything?

Ava: I just thought, if he is getting married again, I wouldn't want to upset him by bringing up the past.

J.J.: He wouldn't be upset. He's too happy to get upset about anything.

Ava: What's wrong, J.J.? Does the thought of getting another new mom make you miss Julia?

J.J.: Sort of.

Ava: I get that. Julia was such a great person. Rooming with her -- it was one of the happiest moments in my life. I got an idea. Why don't you go home and get the box? And I'll wait for you here and we can talk more about your new mom.

J.J.: I really don't know --

Ava: Hey. J.J., youíre having a tough time. And I know that your mom would want to be here for you. But since she can't, I bet she'd be happy to know her good friend can be. And it sure would make me happy to know that I'm doing something that she loves. Okay?

J.J.: Okay.

Brad: Jack. Jack, just -- at least take a few days to think about this.

Jack: A few days to think about it, or a few more days for you to come up with another adolescent plan to sabotage it?

Brad: Marriage is a huge step.

Jack: I know that.

Brad: Yeah, you should know more that anyone else. How do you know that Katie's the one?

Jack: Because, Brad, every time I walk in a room with her in it, I find myself smiling.

Brad: I saw a stripper last week that made me feel the same way. Doesn't mean I should spend the rest of my life with her.

Jack: You're likening my adult relationship with Katie to that of yours with a stripper. Thanks you very much.

Brad: Katie, adult?

Jack: Okay, you know -- after you've done your best to try to ruin things for us, the least you could do -- the very least is try to back off and be happy for us. Huh? Brother.

Brad: All right. All right, all right, all right, all right. Hey, you know what? You're dead set on this, you know, I'm on your side.

Jack: Thank you.

Brad: I give her a hard time. You know, put her down a lot. But Katie, she's really cool. You're really lucky. I hope you know that.

Jack: Yes, I know that.

Vienna: Here's the bride to be!

Katie: The very late bride-to-be. Thank you so much for helping me get ready.

Vienna: Oh, I adore making people feel good and look beautiful.

Katie: Okay, so I have two options on dresses. That one or this one.

Vienna: Definitely this one.

Katie: That's what I was thinking. Although, I don't know. Maybe neither of them is right.

Vienna: Oh, nonsense. This is the one you are going to be smashed in it!

Katie: Smashing?

Vienna: Yes! Now I was started to get worried. What took you so long?

Katie: I ran into Brad. Or more like, he ambushed me.

Vienna: What a caveman. So, what did he want?

Katie: He said he wanted to apologize, but really, it was just more of his old tricks.

Vienna: Ah, that explains why you need a little bit more blush. You know, that man could take away the color from anybody's cheek.

Katie: I know I shouldn't have let him get to me, but I did.

Vienna: Oh. So what did he say?

Katie: He said that Jack is only proposing to me because he felt guilty about disappointing me. He doesn't think Jack loves me at all.

Vienna: What a fool. What does he know about love anyway?

Katie: I don't know. I guess you're right. It's just that one thought led to another and I now I can't stop obsessing about Carly. Why did she have to tell him that she still loves him and wants him back?

Vienna: That witch! When did she do this?

Katie: Right before Jack proposed. And then she kissed him. Did I tell you that?

Vienna: Oh. And now you're worried that that's why he proposed?

Katie: I don't know. I mean, Jack said that it doesn't matter what Carly wants, that he proposed to me because he loves me and I wish I could believe him but --

Vienna: Then why don't you?

Katie: Because that's exactly what I told Mike right before I slept with Simon.

Carly: Jack can deny it all he wants, but I know there's only one reason that he asked Katie to marry him -- and that's to prove to himself and to me that he doesn't want me back. But we both know that he does.

Gwen: How can you be so sure?

Carly: I saw it in his eyes when I told him that I still love him. I felt it in his kiss.

Gwen: He kissed you?

Carly: Uh -- not exactly. I kissed him. But when you've known somebody like I know Jack -- he still loves me. He's just afraid to admit it.

Gwen: Why?

Carly: He's gun shy. And I can't blame him after all the pain that I've put him through.

Gwen: I don't know, Carly. I mean, he bought Katie a ring. You really think he'd go through all that trouble if he didn't really plan on marrying her?

Carly: He's just -- he's just playing a game.

Gwen: I didn't think Jack was the kind of guy who played games.

Carly: I don't even think he knows he's doing it. But it's not going to last. He's going to wake up and he's going to admit that he wants me.

Gwen: And that you're the only woman he could ever love?

Carly: Yes. That's exactly right. Because Jack and I are forever. Just like you and Will.

Gwen: You know, Carly, besides Will, Jack's the most honest guy that I've ever met. So I can't help but wondering. When he told you that he was over you -- maybe it was true. If you want to know what I think --

Carly: That I don't have what it takes to win this night.

Gwen: No, I know you have what it takes to win a fight. But sometimes I wonder if you have what it takes to see things for what they really are.

Carly: So I should just stay out of everybody's way?

Gwen: Not at all. But I think you need to remember why you came back here. It wasn't for Jack. It was for your kids.

Carly: I know that. I know that. And things are going really well with the kids. Making a lot of progress. And Parker and are almost back to the way we were before I left.

Gwen: So you think you can go back to the way things were before? The way they were, before Simon?

Carly: If Parker can forgive me, anything can happen.

Gwen: Do you hear yourself? I'm sorry, but you cannot erase the changes in Jack's life because you decided now that you want him back.

Carly: You know, I know that you don't feel well, and I shouldn't be bothering you with this stuff right now.

Gwen: You know what, you're right. I don't kneel well. So maybe I'm like a little too tired to lie to you. The way that I see it, you should be grateful that Jack has even let back into his life.

Carly: I should be grateful that I get to be a mother to my own children?

Gwen: Yeah, I don't want to sound harsh but if you look back at how all of the things went down, Jack didn't have to be good about this. He could have taken you to court. He could have made sure that you never saw the kids again.

Carly: But he didnít.

Gwen: He knew they were better off with you. So I think you need to focus on your kids. They are your future, okay, and you're lucky to have them.

Vienna: Jack is crazy about you, Katie. And you shouldn't let Carly or Brad or anything from your past make you think anything different. Jack knows what he wants.

Katie: I know for now. But what if he comes to some realization later on. The worst thing that can happen is me being up at the altar looking at the man I love and knowing that he doesn't love -- oh, my God, I'm sorry so sorry, Vienna, I didn't realize what I was saying.

Vienna: So, it's all right. Henry, he wasn't ready to get married. And I realize now that I was pushing him. But, you know, the good thing is we found a way to make it work anyway. But you don't have to worry about that. Because you and Jack both want this, and you're ready for it. You will have it.

Katie: I bet you never thought you would be giving me a pep talk or helping me get ready for my engagement dinner.

Vienna: No, but it makes sense. We have a lot in common.

Katie: We do?

Vienna: Yes. We both loved Simon. We both love Henry be we can't stand Carly. And we are both starting to heal our broken hearts.

Katie: You know what, I really see what Henry sees in you.

Vienna: I was about to say the same thing. Oh, enough. Okay.

Katie: Okay.

Vienna: We will ruin your mascara. We have a proposal to get you ready for. Come on.

Brad: Bud, just give me a draft.

[Brad remembering]

Brad: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay. I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I hurt you. I'm sorry for what I did.

Bartender: Hey, Buddy, somebody wants to know if you're available to join her for a drink.

Brad: Sure. Would you tell her that I have never been more available than I am tonight?

Jack: Hey. I thought you were hanging out at Carly tonight.

J.J.: Well, I am, but I just needed to get this.

Jack: That was Juliaís, wasn't it?

J.J.: Yeah.

Jack: You haven't pulled that down in a while.

J.J.: Well, I just started thinking about her, I guess. She said that no matter what happens, we will always be together.

Jack: That's the truth. Because whenever you think about her, that means she's alive in your heart.

J.J.: You said the same thing after Mom left.

Jack: When Carly left, she never stopped loving you.

J.J.: Well, I guess, but are you going to say the same thing after you marry Katie and Mom leaves?

Jack: What are you talking about? Carly's is not going anywhere. J.J., we talked about this. I know, I know it's going to be a long time before you get used to the fact that I'm marrying Katie, okay?

J.J.: Well, Mom is never going to get used to it. Even if it seems like she is.

Jack: Even if that's true, it doesn't mean that she's going anywhere.

J.J.: You said the reason that Mom came back is so we can be a family again. And if you get married to Katie, she won't have that. So why should she stay?

Alison: So you're not here because Dusty trashed me to you?

Aaron: Hardly. He tried to talk to me and I blew him off. I was still angry.

Alison: But now you're not?

Aaron: No, I am but maybe not as much. It's complicated.

Alison: So what happened?

Aaron: Well, after Dusty left, I just couldnít shake off some of the things he said. I may be thick-headed but the guy is really worried about you, Alison.

Alison: Well, I'm fine, okay? I can take care of myself.

Aaron: He kept saying I shouldn't turn my back on you.

Alison: You're not. I'm pushing you away.

Aaron: Well, he told me not to let you, Alley. He said if you couldn't even come to me as a friend, he was afraid you might do something.

Alison: Like what?

Aaron: Well, something self-destructive, like getting into crystal meth. Alison, listen, even if we can't be together, I don't want to see you back like you were when you left Seattle.

Alison: Well, now that you said your peace, your conscience can be cleared. If something happens, I will make sure you're not responsible.

Aaron: I care about you. Probably more than you ever know. If I didn't --

Alison: You didn't --

Aaron: Promise me you won't do anything crazy. Promise me you will take care of yourself.

Alison: Aaron, I --

Aaron: Yeah.

Alison: I will take care of myself. I promise.

Aaron: I do care about you, Alison. Probably more than you will ever know.

Susan: Was that Aaron I just saw leaving?

Alison: Yeah, yeah. He was here for a little while.

Susan: Oh, too bad I didn't get a chance to say hello. I guess he's still upset about you and Dusty.

Alison: Almost as upset as you are, Mom.

Susan: I'm not trying to start a fight.

Alison: You know, Aaron has every right to be mad. I will own up to that. But wasn't here for the reason you think. He wasn't here to rub what happened with Dusty and me in my face.

Susan: Then why was he here?

Alison: He said he was concerned about me. He wanted to see how I was doing after everything happened.

Susan: Oh, I hope you're not reading too much into that.

Alison: Heaven forbid, somebody actually cares about me, right?

Susan: I didn't mean that. I care about you. It's just that you're so trusting. You're always putting all of your faith in the wrong place. I just -- I don't want to see you get hurt.

Alison: You know what, I was actually on my way out when you came in. I need to go to a meeting. I haven't been to one in a while. So I really need one. Look, I know I have messed up, bad, and I know I really haven't done anything right since I got home, so if you're scared for me or if you're still mad at me, I totally understand. But I think I turned a corner tonight. I think things are really going to start turning around for me.

Holden: Hey! There you are. Where you have been? It's a good thing I had to pick up Ethan's medicine.

Aaron: Oh, yeah, I'm sorry I haven't called.

Holden: So what were you going to do, skip down without saying good-bye?

Aaron: Oh, no, I wouldn't do that to you and the kids.

Holden: So what are you doing? Are you sticking around or not?

Aaron: Listen, I thought about what you said, and I decided you're right. Maybe I should give this place a little bit more time.

Holden: Well, I'm sure that was not an easy decision. Especially since you and Ali just broke up recently.

Aaron: Well, the good news is, don't think it's completely over for Ali and me.

Holden: Really? What changed since we talked?

Aaron: Maybe I'm just changing the way I look at things.

Holden: Sometimes that's the biggest piece of the puzzle.

Aaron: The thing is, Dad, I got kicked in the gut. It's going to take me some time to get over. But maybe that's not the worst thing in the world. Maybe it will give me Ali and me that space we need to be something, something else.

Holden: What, friends?

Aaron: Yeah, friends. She needs a friend. I need a friend. If our friendship turns into something more, then that's a good thing.

Holden: Well, that's good. I'm glad to see you're keeping an open mind. I have to tell you, you have grown, a lot. Another thing, I'm glad you're sticking around.

Aaron: So am I. So am I.

Jack: When Carly came back to town, she didn't come back for me. She came back for you and Parker and Sage. And she's not going anywhere ever again. She could not stay away from you guys. That's why she had to come back. If I marry Katie that, doesn't mean she's going anywhere. Do you understand?

J.J.: But we were all a family after the cookout last week.

Jack: I know. Even though Carly and are not together, that doesn't mean we are not family. Look at it this way, you're not losing anybody. If I marry Katie, that means you have one more person that loves you.

J.J.: Oh, I never thought of it that way.

Jack: All right. So maybe this is a good time to turn things around, you know. Look, if I marry Katie, it's a win for everybody.

J.J.: But how is that going to be a win for Mom?

Jack: Well, it means that I will have moved on with my life, and maybe Carly can do the same. It's about time all of us did.

Gwen: Carly, I just think that the time you spend running around after a man who is about to get married would be better spent, you know, enjoying your kids.

Carly: I am enjoying them. As a matter of fact, J.J. is spending the night with me tonight. And he's probably at the house now waiting for me. So I have to go. I don't like leaving you when you feel so sick. Are you sure I can't call Will?

Gwen: Honestly, I'm going to be fine.

Carly: I'm afraid to ask you how things went in Branson.

Gwen: Oh, it's a long story. I will tell you about it later.

Carly: All right. All right, then I will call you tomorrow.

Gwen: Okay. Thank you.

Carly: Feel better.

Gwen: I will. I'm sorry if I was harsh.

Jack: Okay. So come on, let me drive you out to Carly's.

J.J.: Can I ride on my bike?

Jack: Just so long as you're not riding after dark.

J.J.: Okay. But I have to go put this away.

Jack: Better make it quick, though. Parker and Sage are staying over at friends. And I don't want you here alone or on the road after sunset.

J.J.: Got it.

Jack: Okay. J.J. --

J.J.: Yeah.

Jack: Are you sure there isn't something else you want to tell me? Because we can talk about anything. You know that, right?

J.J.: No, there's nothing else.

Jack: Okay. I better get going then, all right. Wear your helmet.

J.J.: Dad.

Jack: All right. Bye.

[Jack leaves and Ava walks in]

Ava: Hey, J.J., now, I waited for you but you never came back. How come?

Jesse: Hey, where are you going? Rehearsal for your next movie?

Alison: You and I don't have any more business together, Jesse.

Jesse: That's not the way I see it. See, me and my crew are some of your biggest fans. You know what they say, don't disappoint your public.

Alison: I told you we are done.

Jesse: How about you rethink that position. Come on, what do you say, sexy? A little demonstration of your talent?

Alison: All right, fellas, you want to see me in action.

Jesse: Yeah. Bring it on!

Guys: Yeah, sexy!

Brad: I don't know, that's --

Woman: I can't believe how lucky I am.

Brad: Why is that?

Woman: You're hot and you're funny. How rare is that?

Brad: As rare as it is to find a woman that appreciates me.

Woman: So what is a great guy like you doing all alone?

[Brad remembering]

Vienna: You couldn't even begin to understand what Henry and I share.

Brad: Oh, why, because I'm so shallow?

Katie: Because you can't get past your own selfish needs to understand that a real relationship is about give and take, compassion and patience. And the worst part is you think everybody else is just like you.

Brad: No, Katie, actually, I donít. I sigh to people in love that have been together from 60 years, I think what have they found that I haven't? I envy them.

Woman: So, Cutie, what's the million dollar answer?

Brad: Why am I alone? Beats me.

Vienna: Hello, Jack. You look great.

Jack: Thank you, I'm sorry I'm late. I had to deal with J.J. is Katie --

Katie: I'm right here. And you're right on time.

Carly: Hey, J.J., I'm back. Hey! J.J., I'm back. I hope you didn't -- hey, are you up there? Wonder where he is.

J.J.: So how do you know where I live?

Ava: When first moved to town, I looked you up. So did you find the box?

J.J.: I'm sorry, I don't know where it is. But I have to get going because it's going to get dark soon.

Ava: You know what, J.J., I don't think you're telling me the truth.

J.J.: Yes, I am.

Ava: Well, I don't believe ya. Your mother would be very, very disappointed if she knew that her little boy had turned into a liar. So give me the box now.

Will: Gwen? Gwen?

Gwen: Uh-huh.

Will: I got pretty freaked out when Mary told me you left early. Why didn't you come get me?

Gwen: Because I didn't want to bother you.

Will: But I called you. You didn't call me back. Did you go to the doctor? Did he tell you what was wrong?

Gwen: No, I -- I didn't go to the doctor but I do know what's wrong.

Will: No, you seem --

Gwen: No, I'm not sick. I don't know how to tell you this, but, um, I'm pregnant.

Announcer: Next week on "As the World Turns" --

Gwen: Are you happy? This is what we always wanted.

Will: If it were true. When you and I both is it can't be.

Alison: I can't believe there's one person in my life who believes I can straight.

Dusty: There is -- me.

Doctor: Your son is alive.

Jack: Carly, you are not going to do this to me this time.

Carly: Please, someone has taken our boy, Jack! He's been kidnapped!
