Lily: There you are! How was your ride? Ready for the big Thanksgiving feast?
Holden: Oh, I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse.
Faith: Dad, that would make you practically a cannibal. I'll have torfurkey instead.
Jade: Gross! You're still on that veggie kick?
Faith: It's vegan.
Holden: Well, I'm going to stick with the traditional, if that's okay with you.
Lily: Okay, we have to wait for a little while. We have to wait for Carly to come back with her kids from Mr. Tucker's hayride. It's Thanksgiving. We're supposed to be grateful.
Holden: I know what I'm grateful for. Having my wife back.
Lily: That's so sweet.
Lily: Oh, let's go inside. It's getting cold!
Holden: Why don't you get some firewood?
Luke: Okay. Jade, you can help me.
Jade: Uh, no. Splinters and spiders are not my thing.
Luke: What's wrong with you? You've been acting all weird since last night.
Jade: And I still can't talk about it.
Luke: That's okay. I can guess. You're upset because Will and Gwen are having Thanksgiving dinner together, and you're wishing it was you instead of her.
Jade: Yeah, yeah, you're a regular mind reader.
Gwen: Hey. Look what I got Johnny -- this little -- gobble, gobble, gobble!
Will: Yeah, that's sweet. He'll love this.
Gwen: It was hard hearing my mom talk about when I had to give him away. I don't really like to think about that too much.
Will: Yeah, I don't like going back there either.
Gwen: I remember my biggest fear was facing the holidays without him, but your mom and Dusty have been so amazing including us. I'm just really thankful that he's still a part of my life.
Will: I'm thankful that you're part of mine.
Iris: And I'm thankful to see the both of you so happy. And just think, sometime soon, we're going to see gorgeous Gwen's puss just plastered all over these windows.
Gwen: Mom, what are you doing here?
Iris: Oh, well, I was at a meeting at the church just up the street. You know, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can't change," right? So, 100 meetings, 100 days.
Gwen: I'm really glad that you're sober and sticking with it. We really have to go, though.
Iris: Thanks. Listen, since we ran into each other --
Gwen: Mom, you cannot have dinner with us. I told you that I don't want you in my life, and I meant it.
Iris: I just wanted to wish you both a happy Thanksgiving.
Meg: Obviously, the girls have the talent --
Holden: I was going for something a little more abstract, okay?
Meg: Oh, you got it.
Emma: Yeah, he did.
Holden: Where's Jack? He would defend me if he were here. Where is he, Mama?
Emma: Oh, he has to work a double shift down at the station, I'm afraid.
Meg: Well, that's probably easier, with Carly here. They had so many Thanksgivings here.
Lily: That's true. It'll seem a bit empty at the table this year without him.
Holden: Well, you know what? Maybe we can take him some stuff a little bit later.
Emma: Listen, why don't you and Lily and -- Faith, Sweetheart, you want to take this and put these goodies on the table? They're so sweet. Holden, I think you know where the candles are, don't you?
Lily: Oh, candles. Which ones? The cranberry candles? Cranberry -- how much calories are in cranberry --
Holden: Oh, stop. Come on, I know where the candles are. Come on, Faith.
Meg: Okay, Mama, what do you want me to do? Corn or potatoes?
Emma: Well, you do the corn. You know I am the champion masher in this family. Should I --
Meg: Oh, go on, ask.
Emma: Well, should I set a place for Paul, or is he going to spend the holidays with his family?
Meg: I don't know what Paul is doing. We had one of those variations on the theme of the same old fight about Craig Montgomery.
Emma: Oh, I heard that Lucy dropped the charges against her father for her kidnapping.
Meg: Yeah. So needless to say, Paul's a crazy man.
Emma: Crazier than Craig Montgomery?
Meg: Well, let's call it even. He actually accused me of siding with Craig.
Emma: Did you?
Meg: Mama, what a question. No, of course not. I have to put an end to this -- the fights, the accusations, I can't take it anymore.
Emma: Well, Sweetheart, breaking up with someone that you love, or that you think you love, is never very easy.
Meg: I'm not breaking up with Paul. I'm going to marry him. And the sooner, the better!
Barbara: Happy Thanksgiving, son.
Paul: Happy Thanksgiving.
Barbara: Oh, Honey, thank you. They're lovely. Where did you get these?
Paul: From the banquet table downstairs. Did everybody leave?
Barbara: No -- no. Is Meg joining us?
Paul: I'm not sure. We got into a little tiff about Craig. All of this craziness has to end. The fighting is destroying us.
Barbara: Paul, I'm sorry. Maybe it's for the best. But ending a relationship is always difficult.
Paul: What, you think with Meg?
Barbara: I -- weren't you talking about --
Paul: No, I'm talking about ending all of our involvement with Craig. I want him out of all of our lives forever. I just -- I can't figure out how to do it.
Barbara: Maybe somebody already has.
Dusty: I've been thinking to myself if there's another way to do this. I made you a promise, Red -- to keep Montgomery away from our son. And as God as my witness, I won't let you down.
Lucy: Thank God I found you.
Craig: Sweetheart. And here, I thought I was going to have to celebrate by myself. Here, sit, have a glass.
Lucy: No, no, no, I can't eat, Daddy. Where have you been?
Craig: I've been out, enjoying the beautiful autumn weather. Come on, sit.
Lucy: Okay, I want you to drop the custody suit.
Craig: I assume Dusty sent you.
Lucy: No, no. In fact, he told me to stay out of it, but I can't do that.
Craig: Why not?
Lucy: Daddy, Dusty's got a gun. And if you don't drop the custody suit, Dusty's going to kill you.
Meg: I never thought I'd say this, but for the first time ever, Craig could be right.
Emma: Bite your tongue.
Meg: Really. I mean, Paul and I have put this off long enough.
Emma: Are you telling me that this idea to make your wedding happen sooner is Craig Montgomery’s idea?
Meg: Mama, it's not like Paul and I weren't headed that way.
Emma: I know, but if Craig de the suggestion, no wonder Paul started a fight.
Meg: I haven't told him yet. I am going to tell him, soon enough!
Emma: Oh -- so, are you going to tell him that Craig Montgomery is your marital advisor? Oh, Meg, why you would even listen to that man in the first place --
Meg: He was just offering some friendly advice.
Emma: Yes, well, I would think long and hard about what's behind any kind of advice Craig Montgomery gives you.
Emma: Here's some yummies to nibble on before we sit down to dinner.
Lily: Oh, yeah, okay.
Holden: Hey, where's Lucinda?
Lily: At the hospital, volunteering with the cancer patients.
Holden: Oh --
Faith: She's going to miss us.
Emma: We're going to miss her.
Lily: Oh, yes, but my mother's doing a wonderful thing, and she'll be here afterwards.
Holden: I wish she was here to see you strut your stuff today. You're becoming quite the rider. And poor, old patches, she can barely keep up with her anymore. Pretty soon, I'm gonna have to get you another horse with a little more get up and go.
Jade: Too bad you couldn't have shopped for one while you were doing business last night in Springfield.
Meg: Oh, Holden wasn't in Springfield last night. He was right here in Oakdale.
Gwen: You have a good Thanksgiving, too, Mom.
Iris: Thanks. So, I guess you're not rehearsing 'cause it's a holiday or something. What are you doing, rushing home to put that bird in the oven? Honey, remember, don't leave the bag of giblets in the turkey. Remember, I did that one time?
Will: We're having Thanksgiving with my mom.
Iris: Oh, la dee da! Barbara, huh? Whoo! That's going to be some clam bake. Wait a second, I seem to remember that she was really nasty to the both of you. How did you forgive and forget? I'd like to know that.
Gwen: We really have to go.
Iris: No, no, no, really. I mean, if you have a minute, I'd like to know how she got back into your good graces. Did she buy you a car or something like that?
Gwen: Yeah, Mom, she did. She bought us a car. No, of course she didn't buy us a car. It was a bunch of different things. And when her daughter passed away, everything else just -- it became unimportant.
Iris: You know, it's kind of a funny thing, but in a way, I feel like I lost my daughter, too.
Gwen: No, Mom, you didn't lose me, you used me. And then threw me away.
Iris: You're right. You're absolutely right. You're right, it was my fault. I know you're not going to believe this, but Sweetie, it killed me.
Will: All right, we really should go. You okay?
Gwen: Yeah, I just want to get the hell out of here.
Will: All right. Just wait for me for, like, two minutes. I'm gonna go to the bookstore, okay?
Gwen: Hey, well, why?
Will: We got Johnny something, but we didn't get Mom anything. I don't want to show up empty handed.
Gwen: Okay. What were you thinking?
Will: Well, I want to get her something to take her mind off things, and "Oakdale Confidential" is supposed to be pretty good, right?
Gwen: Yeah, it's supposed to be entertaining. You want me to come with you?
Will: No, no, wait in the car with Mr. Turkey. I'll be right back.
Gwen: Oh, okay.
Will: Iris, there are a few things that we have to get straight, and you're going to listen.
Craig: Dusty has a gun? Where my son lives?
Lucy: Look, Johnny is perfectly safe. But you're not, unless you call your lawyers and you drop this custody suit.
Craig: Did he actually threaten my life?
Lucy: He didn't have to. Look, I know him. I know how upset he was after the hearing. And then, when you had him served with custody papers --
Craig: He'll adjust. In time, he'll calm down. He'll realize that it's the way it should be.
Lucy: Dusty will never realize that. He believes he's Johnny’s true dad. So do I.
Craig: Sweetheart, that adoption was granted to Dusty under false pretenses, while I was jailed for charges that have since been dismissed --
Lucy: Okay, you know what? That adoption was granted because Jennifer wanted Dusty to raise her son.
Craig: Jennifer does not control my life from the grave, Lucy. This is the last holiday that I spend without my son.
Lucy: This could be your last holiday, period, if you push Dusty too hard.
Craig: Dusty's not going to kill me. I mean, do you think he wants to go to jail? And lose all of his rights to Johnny, forever? Even Dusty's not that stupid. Look, I really appreciate that you let me know what his intentions are.
Lucy: His intentions are real. This threat is real. Dusty would do anything, anything to keep Johnny safe from you.
Craig: There is no way that I am dropping that custody suit.
Lucy: For Johnny’s sake, please, I'm begging you. Give this fight up.
Craig: For Johnny’s sake, I can’t.
Barbara: So, after a debacle of a hearing which benefited no one but Craig, Dusty was given a petition demanding full custody of Johnny.
Paul: So all of our desperate measures to keep Johnny safe, all for nothing.
Barbara: Craig isn't going to stop until he gets what he wants.
Paul: So, what's Dusty's next move?
Barbara: He just said he's taking matters into his own hands.
Paul: Oh, well, I like the sound of that.
Barbara: That must be Gwen and Will.
Emily: Barbara, have you seen Dusty? I'm really worried about him.
Barbara: Come on in, Emily.
Emily: Lucy says that Dusty has a gun, and he's out to stop Craig once and for all.
Barbara: So that's how he's going to resolve this.
Emily: I've been running all over town looking for him to try to stop him from doing something crazy.
Paul: Well, why stop him? I hope Dusty goes for it.
[Cell phone rings]
Craig: I always like to let it ring a few times. Otherwise, I seem too anxious.
Dusty: I got the custody papers.
Craig: Now, that's what I call service.
Dusty: We should talk.
Craig: I'm amenable, if nonnegotiable.
Dusty: Meet me in the parking garage at the Lakeview. Level three, in one hour.
Craig: I guess there's no need to synchronize our watches.
Will: Iris, I'm glad you're going to the meetings, and I'm glad you're sober. And Gwen's glad, too.
Iris: But --
Will: But, Gwen wishing you well doesn't mean that she wants you back in her life. She doesn't, believe me. So, you can't keep pushing yourself on her.
Iris: I was at the church at a meeting down the street. What do you want me to do?
Will: Okay, maybe, you know. You keep talking about wanting to start a new life, and you're not going to find one here. At least not with us.
Iris: Yeah, well, never give up hope. That's what I say.
Will: Forget it, Iris, you being around is making her really uncomfortable. She's not going to invite you to Thanksgiving dinner. She's not going to invite you to any dinner, all right? So maybe you need to look for a fresh start somewhere else. Somewhere where you're not going to be bumping into Gwen all the time.
Iris: Well, first off, I'm broke. I don't even have money for a cab.
Will: Okay, well, I can take care of that.
Iris: And secondly, I have to stay in town. That's what the parole board says. But Will -- gee, I'd really like to make myself a little Thanksgiving dinner. A little turkey and a sweet potato, something like that? You're all right. You know, Gwennie could have done a lot worse.
Will: Look, understand that that's a one time thing, just helping you get back on your feet. Don't come back asking for more.
Iris: It wouldn't cross my mind.
Will: Right. Gwen's done taking care of you. She's got her own life now. The one that she deserves. You're not going to mess that up. Okay? Good.
Iris: I wouldn't count on that, buddy boy.
Meg: Holden, I saw you last night crossing the road, maybe in old town?
Lily: That's not possible, because someone called who wanted to breed one the mares, so Holden left for Springfield right after dinner.
Meg: Really? 'Cause I could have sworn --
Jade: Well, I guess you were wrong. Because I was here last night, and Holden was definitely headed out of town.
Meg: You know, I thought once I saw Bruce Springsteen crossing the road, and I ran so fast after him, but I tripped and fell. Needless to say, it wasn't Bruce, because he would have helped me up. [Emma laughs] Anyway, corn's ready.
Emma: I think the mashed potatoes are ready, too.
Lily: Jade, would you mind taking Faith and taking her to look for Natalie’s pink pony video? She was looking for it before the hayride.
Jade: Yeah, sure.
Lily: Thanks. Don't wake Ethan, he's sleeping.
Holden: I think I'll head out and grab the Hubbard squash. I wonder how much it weighs this year.
Lily: Let's not bring up weight, shall we?
Holden: Hey, I'll take that. That's it? That's all?
Luke: Come on, come on, come on! [Cell phone rings] Hey, Lucy. Why is my cousin not here yet? Oh, no, you got to come, its Thanksgiving. You sound really upset -- are you all right? Where are you? Can we meet somewhere? Oh, don't say that -- Lucy says she's not coming to Thanksgiving.
Emma: What a shame.
Lily: Where are you going?
Luke: I'm gonna go find her. She sounded really upset.
Meg: Well, I'm not surprised, after what happened at the hearing yesterday. Lucy didn't testify against her father. Thanks to her, he doesn't have to go back to prison.
Emma: Where he surely belongs.
Meg: Yeah, well, I'm sure Lucy feels like she really let Dusty, though.
Luke: Well, there's no way she's spending a family holiday by herself. I'm gonna go find her.
Emma: Be careful, it's dangerous out there with the drivers --
Meg: I'm sure Dusty was disappointed, but I can't believe that he would desert Lucy just because she didn't testify against her dad.
Emma: Can you imagine? A man's own daughter bringing kidnapping charges against him? And this is the kind of man you want to take advice from?
Meg: Why are you so hung up on the fact that I took advice from Craig? Are you trying to use it as ammunition?
Emma: Against what?
Meg: Well, you're always trying to find some reason why I shouldn't marry Paul.
Emily: How can you say that? It would kill Dusty to be separated from that little boy. Have you forgotten what it's like to lose a child?
Paul: No, of course I haven't forgotten.
Emily: For Dusty to lose his little boy he loves more than his own life because of Craig Montgomery? We can't let that happen.
Paul: No, we can't let that happen.
[Cell phone rings]
Emily: Excuse me. I'm sorry, I need to take this.
Barbara: I don't trust her. At all. I think she's spreading this rumor around about Dusty and a gun so he'll look unstable at the custody hearing.
Paul: Yeah, but why would Emily want to help Craig?
Barbara: Oh, come on, Paul, you should know that better than anyone. Because when it comes to the male sex, there's nothing that Emily Stewart won't do. [Johnny crying] I'm coming, precious. Nana's coming.
Emily: You will not get away with this. They will find out.
Paul: They'll find out what?
Emily: Yeah, well, guess what, that's just too bad.
Paul: Is there a problem?
Emily: Oh, no, my mother --
Paul: Say no more.
Emily: Yeah. Well, you know, she freaks out about everything. The thermometer popped out of the self-basting turkey, and you just gotta sit down right then and there.
Paul: Yeah. Can I give you a friendly little bit of advice?
Emily: Yeah, friendly -- friendly I'll take, sure.
Paul: I appreciate your concern for Johnny, but I don't think you should put yourself in the middle of this duel between Dusty and Craig. It could get ugly. And I for one would hate to see you get hurt.
Emily: Happy Thanksgiving, Paul.
Barbara: Just another holiday, huh? Isn't he the sweetest.
Paul: There's something I've got to take care of.
Barbara: Taking care of Emily?
Paul: I'll be back.
Barbara: I don't like what's going on around here. I think we need to call your daddy again. Let's see if we can get a hold of him.
Dusty: There's my boy.
Barbara: There you are. I've been so scared, especially after what you said last night.
Dusty: Has he been a good boy?
Barbara: He's been a great boy.
Dusty: All right.
Barbara: Emily showed up here, spouting some kind of story about you and a gun. That you're going to shoot Craig. Please tell me it's not true. You're not going to kill Craig, are you?
Craig: Did you do it?
Emily: Yes. I told Barbara and Paul that Dusty was packing a gun.
Craig: I love it when you talk tough.
Emily: Okay, this whole Dusty thing with the gun -- they needed to know about it, why?
Craig: Everything will be clear when my showdown with Dusty is over.
Emily: Well, I actually just saw Dusty going back up to Barbara’s suite. I have a feeling he's going to skip the big showdown.
Craig: Oh, on the contrary. He's going to meet me in the parking garage, level three, in an hour. So we don't have much time.
Emily: What, time for what?
Craig: For you to make sure that Dusty shoots to kill, and I stay alive.
Emily: Oh, I know I'm not going to like this. Okay.
Coming up on "As the World Turns" --
Jade: Should I just tell Lily the truth, that her husband's cheating on her?
Dusty: If this plays out the way I think it will, we'll all have a lot to be thankful for by the time the day's over.
Emily: Okay, so for reasons that escape me, I break into Dusty's car to find his gun?
Craig: Shh, shh. You should wear gloves.
Emily: What if the gun's not in the car? What if it's on him?
Craig: Well, then I won't show. You know, but I'll wager that the reason that Dusty went up to Barbara’s was to see Johnny.
Emily: Oh, my God, to say good-bye.
Craig: Yeah, Dusty's about ready to commit a crime that'll put him in jail for the rest of his life. You know, packing a gun to his final farewell doesn't seem very warm and fuzzy.
Emily: Okay, what about the parking garage guy? The night watchmen?
Craig: He's off, courtesy of the Lakeview, with pay. And I'm sure that Dusty knows that.
Emily: How do I break into his car, Craig?
Craig: Funny you should ask.
Emily: Where did you get that?
Craig: It's just a parting gift from one of my prison pals. So, do you know how to use this thing?
Emily: What if somebody sees me?
Craig: Make sure no one does. Now, go on, we don't have much time.
Meg: This isn't something that Craig's been pushing. I've been wanting to set a date with Paul ever since he put that ring on my finger. I love him, Mama, and I really would love to have your blessing.
Emma: Well, we can go look for wedding gowns tomorrow. In fact, I have been saving a few little bridal magazines. So, what's the date we're pushing for? Valentine's Day?
Meg: How does next week fit into your plans?
Emma: Meg -- Meg! Meg Snyder!
Jade: Mmm, pumpkin or pecan?
Faith: Mom's going to kill you.
Jade: Yeah. I'll fix it up so nobody knows.
Faith: How do you do that and stay so skinny?
Jade: Well, I don't know. Sometimes I'm hungry, and I eat whatever I want. And sometimes I forget to eat and I go all day without eating. I don't know, food's just not that big of a deal to me.
Lily: Yes, unlike your aunt, who can look at a piece of pie and gain five pounds.
Faith: Uh-oh. I think you're caught Jade.
Jade: I'm sorry, Lily, I couldn't wait one more minute.
Lily: Oh, don't worry about it. Please, I just stand here green with envy. It looks good.
Jade: Why don't you join me?
Lily: I'm trying to lose weight, not gain weight, thank you.
Jade: You're too hard on yourself, Lily.
Lily: That's what Holden says. He tells me I look fine. And, I don't know, there's a part of me that thinks that he's saying it just to make me feel better.
Jade: I just remembered. Emma wanted me to go and grab some chairs from the barn.
Lily: Okay, well, Holden’s out there if you need help.
Holden: This would be the Hubbard squash. A long and completely unexplainable Snyder family tradition. I don't know who started it, but they must have been strong, because these things, they get pretty heavy.
Jade: Thanks for the folklore. You're doing it again.
Holden: Doing what?
Jade: Ignoring the fact that I lied to your sister, just like I lied to Lily last night.
Holden: You know what? I didn't ask you to lie.
Jade: Okay. So, what should I do on this beautiful fall day, with the hayrides and the horses and the kids watching the parade? Should I just tell Lily the truth, that her husband's cheating on her?
Barbara: Listen, I know you don't want to scare Johnny, and I don't either, but I have to know what's going on with you, what your plans are.
Dusty: Did he watch the parade?
Barbara: Some of it, yeah.
Dusty: The balloons are cool, aren't they, son? My son.
Barbara: Dusty, you scared me to death last night when you told me that I had to take care of Johnny if anything happened to you.
Dusty: No more questions. You're gonna make him nervous.
Barbara: I don't care, I really don’t. You can't fix anything by killing Craig. Don't you see that? [Knocking at door] That's going to be -- it's Will and Gwen. Hey!
Gwen: Happy Thanksgiving.
Will: Happy Thanksgiving, Mom.
Barbara: Happy Thanksgiving to you. Hi, Will. Oh, what have you got there? Ooh, what's this?
Will: I think it's what you'd a beach book. That's what they said at the store, anyway.
Barbara: The new edition of "Oakdale Confidential," yes. A little something to keep me distracted.
Gwen: Hey. Hey, Dusty. Happy Thanksgiving.
Dusty: Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. Hey, Brother.
Will: Hey, Pal.
Gwen: We actually brought something for Johnny. Hey.
Dusty: Hey, look at that, a turkey.
Gwen: Oh, hey, man, look. It's a turkey! Happy thanks -- oh, he's scared!
Will: Come on, everybody likes turkey.
Gwen: It's just turkey. Hey, you mind if we play with him for a while?
Dusty: The parade's still on. If you guys want to take him for a while.
Gwen: Yeah. Hey, Dude. Hey, Duder. Hey, remember me? [Johnny crying] Oh, it's okay. It's okay.
Dusty: It's all right.
Gwen: It's okay.
Barbara: You can help yourself to anything on the sideboard. And you know, he might --
Gwen: Oh, he's just a little scared.
Dusty: Its okay, son.
Gwen: It's okay.
Barbara: Dusty, please. Jennifer wouldn't want anything to take you away from Johnny.
Dusty: More than that, she wouldn't want Montgomery to have him.
Barbara: You have to think about what you're going to lose if you go through with this.
Dusty: I promised Jennifer I wouldn't let him come near our son. I'm keeping my promise.
Barbara: My God, is there nothing I can say that would talk you out of this?
Dusty: Talk me out of what? Have I said what I'm doing?
Barbara: Not in so many words.
Dusty: Not in any words, Barbara. Trust me, for your own sake, and for Johnny. The less you know, the better.
Emily: Oh, who keeps a car like this unlocked? Great.
Emily: Come on. Okay.
Emily: Okay, all right. Come on. Remember how to do this. Okay. Come on. Oh, great, okay. [Cell phone rings] Are you trying to give me a heart attack here?
Craig: Mission accomplished?
Emily: Yeah, yeah, I've got the gun.
Craig: Well, now, all you have to do is make the switch.
Emily: Okay. Can you explain to me again how this is going to get me any closer to Paul, please?
Craig: Just do what I told you, and the rest will fall into place. Call me when you're through.
Emily: Yeah, call him when you're through. Okay. Okay.
Emily: Come on, Emily. Okay.
Holden: Would you just keep your voice down?
Jade: So you are cheating on Lily?
Holden: I told you, the woman that you saw, that was a business associate.
Jade: Okay. Fine. So, why are you being so secretive about it if it's totally innocent? Why don't you tell me a little about your business friend?
Holden: Jade, you're family, you live in our home, but I don't feel like I have to explain anything to you.
Jade: Oh, you owe me an explanation. I lied for you.
Holden: I disagree. I didn't do anything wrong. So do yourself a favor and don't say anything that you're going to regret.
Lily: Jade, there's something going on between you and my husband. I want to know what it is.
Meg: Oh, that turkey smells amazing! I hope you made enough for leftovers and croquettes and soup.
Emma: I always make too much. Yeah, maybe I'll have some left over for your wedding next week.
Holden: A wedding? Did I hear something about a wedding?
Emma: Yes, your sister wants to get married in a week.
Holden: A week? That's cutting it kind of close, huh?
Meg: No. I'm tired of waiting to get married to the man I love.
Holden: When do we get to meet him?
Meg: Ha ha ha. Okay, Mister, just for that, I have a request. I'd like to have the wedding at your place. If you think that won't be a problem.
Dusty: You really love him, don't you?
Gwen: Like he was my own.
Dusty: He was once, for a while.
Gwen: Yeah, I think part of me will always feel that way. That's probably not what his dad wants to hear right now.
Dusty: No, it's exactly what I want to hear. I'm -- I'm grateful that Johnny has you, has Will in his life. I better get going.
Gwen: Well, you're not going to stay for dinner?
Dusty: No, I got to go, I've got business. Come here, Johnny boy, give me a hug good-bye. There you go. This one's gonna have to last a while, okay?
Luke: Hey. You know, you are a very hard lady to find. I've been all over the place, even Fairwinds.
Lucy: Yeah, I don't go to that place if I can help it.
Luke: Well, I thought that maybe you and your dad had patched things up and you were celebrating with a thanksgiving feast.
Lucy: Yeah, I'll never patch things up with him now. It's just -- it's all too late.
Jade: There's nothing going on between me and Holden.
Lily: I don't know what to believe. But that story about your lipstick on Holden’s collar --
Jade: I thought the shirt was Luke’s. I grabbed it to lounge around in.
Lily: Yeah, I know what you said. But there was something about the way you said it. A lot like the way you were talking to Meg when you told her she didn't see Holden last night. Why were you so defensive?
Jade: I'm not. I just knew she was making a mistake, that's all. There's nothing going on, Lily, I swear.
Holden: I think that a wedding is just what this family needs right now. I'm sure that she will go for it.
Meg: Thank you!
Emma: Well, I guess I'm just going to have to start my baking tomorrow and planning the rest of the menu. And then -- then I guess I'll have to speak to someone about the flowers. Especially your bridal bouquet.
Meg: Mama -- you almost sound happy for me.
Emma: Well, when my baby's happy, I'm happy.
Lucy: I knew I had the chance to put my father away where he couldn't anyone, and I backed out. I'm a total coward!
Luke: No, you were scared for Dusty.
Lucy: I know, I know, and I still am. And now --
Luke: And now? And now what? Look, if Craig and Dusty have to duke it out over Johnny, let them. And don't blame yourself. You were trying to save people a lot of pain. Like I did, when I let Damian off the hook. And it worked out for me, Luce. And it's going to work out for you, too, and Dusty.
Dusty: Be a good boy for Barbara, okay? And I love you, always. I love you no matter what.
Barbara: They're going to wonder why you left like this.
Dusty: No, they won’t. So, if this plays out the way I think it will, we'll all have a lot to be thankful for by the time the day's over.
Emily: How can you eat at a time like this?
Craig: Because I'm hungry. Did you do as I asked?
Emily: Everything's arranged. Whatever Dusty has planned, you're bulletproof.
Next week on "As the World Turns" --
Katie: I don't want Simon, I want you.
Mike: Prove it.
Simon: She says that we stole the crown jewels the night of the costume ball.
Gwen: Hey, Adam, I'm sorry for bailing on you. We can pick it up where we left off.
Lucinda: You and Holden are the perfect example of the perfect couple.
Lily: Are we?
Dusty: I'm gonna leave you on the floor dead!
