Paul: Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight.

Meg: Look, can we just go back to the party?

Paul: No. Not yet.

Meg: Please?

Paul: Look, I know you. Something happened. What is it?

Meg: I found Craig.

Dusty: Craig. Oh no you don’t. Who are you? Where's Craig Montgomery?

Lucy: What are you doing here, Daddy?

Craig: Hi, Sweetness.

Lucy: You can't come in.

Craig: What do you mean, I can't come in?

Lucy: Chaz!

Craig: Honey, c'mon. Please. I just want to talk.

Lucy: No. No, you have to go.

Craig: Sweetheart, please.

Lucy: Stay away from Johnny. Chaz!

Chaz: What's the problem?

Barbara: Get out of here, Craig!

Chaz: What's the matter, Buddy? You can't take a hint? Take the baby downstairs. This place is crawling with cops.

Craig: Please, Lucy. Don't go. Hey! Let go of me, Sasquatch.

Barbara: I'll call Jack Snyder.

Casey: Aw, this is messed up.

Maddie: What are you doing here?

Adam: Why is it a big deal?

Jade: I'm not bothering anybody. Am I? Am I bothering you?

Will: No. Let it go.

Casey: What are you -- you're fine with this?

Adam: Somebody want to tell me what's going?

Will: No. Just let it go.

Jade: Yeah. I guess the new rule is, I'm not allowed to show my face anywhere in town.

Casey: Sounds good to me.

Gwen: Let's just go back to the party.

Casey: Actually, wait. How'd you get into the party?

Jade: I was invited.

Casey: Yeah, by who?

Adam: By me.

Jade: You know what, I never should have listened to you. This was really a bad idea.

Adam: Jade, wait --

Luke: Did you really have to dump on her like that?

Casey: After what she did? Yeah!

Maddie: Jade blew it.

Will: We really wanted Adam to hear Gwen sing.

Gwen: Luke, its okay.

Luke: No, no. Well, maybe he still can. Just stay here until I get back.

Vienna: Does someone need a map to find the hidden treasure?

Simon: Oh, no. I remember the way quite well.

Vienna: Mmm, you're getting warmer. Warmer -- ooh, you're burning up.

Simon: That's right. And I want nothing between us, Vienna, absolutely nothing. So, allow me to -- here --

Vienna: Naughty boy. I told you to keep those sticky fingers off my baubles.

Carly: I think we just broke the sound barrier.

[Prince Adolpho laughs]

Prince Adolpho: We're in Monaco, and the roads are yours, my princess.

Carly: Isn't that how poor Grace died? [Police sirens] Oh, no.

Prince Adolpho: We have company.

Carly: Uh, pull over.

Prince Adolpho: Let him catch me if he can.

Carly: No, no, no. Please, Aldolpho! Don't try to outrun a police car!

Prince Adolpho: I thought you were going to call me Dolly from now on.

Carly: Pull over, Dolly.

Prince Adolpho: Your wish is my command.

[Prince Adolpho laughs]

[Tires screech]

Carly: Thank you.

Prince Adolpho: Is there a law against having fun in the town of Oakdale?

Carly: No, but they're not too crazy about people wrapping their cars around trees.

Jack: If you're looking for a racetrack, your friend here should have told you, Indianapolis is that way.

Prince Adolpho: I assure you, Officer, my paperwork is all in order, and I have an international driver's license.

Jack: Do you have any idea how fast you were going?

Prince Adolpho: In my country, we don't ask ourselves such questions.

Jack: Well, in this country, we do. Did your companion happen to glance at the speedometer?

Carly: The prince is new to these roads. Cut him some slack, okay? We wouldn't want him to have an unfavorable view of local law enforcement.

Jack: I just want make sure he gets back to his country in one piece.

Carly: I'll take the lead out of his foot.

Prince Adolpho: Pardon?

Carly: It's just an expression. We'll go back to the gala soon.

Jack: How about now?

Prince Adolpho: I'll be sure to drive with more caution.

Jack: Then you won't mind if I give you an escort back to the hotel?

Carly: I know the way.

Jack: As the head of security detail tonight, I insist.

Prince Adolpho: It appears we have no choice.

Jack: All right, then. I'll pull my car around, and you can follow me back.

Prince Adolpho: Quite a diligent fellow.

Carly: Mm-hmm. It's practically his middle name.

[Carly sighs]

Vienna: Mmm! I told you I wanted to keep that necklace on, to remind me of that night in Biarritz.

Simon: Oh, Biarritz was amazing, but we can do way better.

Vienna: We can?

Simon: Yeah. See, that was the past. Tonight's going to be way more memorable.

Vienna: I believe you. Make love to me, Simon Frasier.

Simon: All right -- uh -- I -- well, I really want to. Just one quick question? When is the prince expecting you back?

Vienna: Oh, forget about the prince. We have lots of time.

Simon: More? Just a little --

Vienna: Are you trying to have your way with me, Mr. Frasier?

Simon: Yeah --

Vienna: Mmm. Mmm!

Simon: What -- [Vienna laughs] What is it? Are you all right?

Vienna: I see two of you. Now you can both make love to me!

Lucy: Have you seen Dusty?

Margo: Well, he thought that he saw Craig, so he took off after him.

Lucinda: What's wrong, Darling?

Lucy: My father's upstairs. And the guy that Dusty went after must be a decoy.

Lucinda: A decoy? Your father's --

Lucy: Yes, he showed up at Barbara’s suite. Luckily, Dusty has a bodyguard, and he kept my father under control and I came downstairs here with Johnny, because I thought it would be safer with all the police around.

Margo: Tom, did you know about this?

Tom: That Craig was going after Johnny tonight? No.

Lucy: Margo, he violated the court order.

Margo: Yeah, and if he thinks that I'm not going to arrest him, he's dead wrong.

Paul: What do you mean, you found Craig? You found Craig, where?

Meg: Here. In one of the hotel rooms.

Paul: Which room?

Meg: I don't remember. It's not like I was expecting to see him. It was a complete surprise.

Paul: What did he want?

Meg: I didn't stay long enough to find out. Look, can we just forget this?

Paul: No. Meg, look. I've learned, okay? Forgetting about Craig Montgomery -- it can be hazardous to your health.

Meg: I'm fine. Look, let's just go home, okay? I want to be alone, with the man I love.

Chaz: Where do you want me to put him?

Barbara: The dumpster's out back.

Paul: What are you trying to pull, huh? What did you do to Meg?

Craig: Paul, I assure you, it was completely innocent.

Paul: If you ever go near her again --

Craig: Ah, the master of the empty threat. You failed to protect Rose. You failed to protect Rosanna, Emily -- even your own sister.

Paul: You want to put me to the test? I will destroy you.

Dallas: Whoa, whoa! What's going on here?

Jessica: Craig. Staying out of trouble?

Barbara: Not by a long shot. There's a court order keeping him 50 feet from my grandson. He not only violated that, but he would've grabbed Johnny if he'd have half a chance.

Craig: Barbara, you hitting the port wine there?

Paul: Actually, believe it or not, my mother knows what she's talking about. This wouldn't be the first child he tried to kidnap a kid.

Jessica: Wait, Paul. You saw him with Johnny?

Paul: No. But he tried to trap Meg.

[Craig laughs]

Craig: I what?

Paul: What are you doing? Can we just get this over with? Will you just do your job?

Dallas: I'm doing my job.

Jessica: Paul, you need to calm down.

Craig: If you just let me explain --

Paul: Nobody's wants to hear anymore of your lies.

Meg: Paul, please. He isn't worth it.

Craig: You should listen to your girlfriend, Paul. Before you get yourself into real trouble.

Faux Craig: I work in maintenance. I couldn't cop a ticket, so I snuck in, and grabbed a costume --

Emily: Dusty! Craig showed up at Barbara’s suite. Lucy took the baby downstairs to get away from him.

Dusty: I knew it.

Emily: No, no. It's okay. It's okay. Don't worry. But apparently, this whole disappearing act was just a diversion.

Dusty: He's going to wish he'd disappeared, when I get my hands on him.

Gwen: You know what? We'll do it another time, 'cause tonight is obviously not the night for Adam to hear me sing.

Maddie: Yeah, well, Jade messed that one up, too.

Gwen: Well, you know, she's didn't know.

Casey: Don't be so sure.

Gwen: It doesn't matter. I don't care about Jade.

Adam: If anybody did care, she's in the ladies' room crying.

Casey: Where's Luke?

Adam: Waiting for her to come out. Which she apparently is not going to do. What happened, Will?

Will: We've got history.

Adam: All of you?

Casey: More or less.

Adam: What did she do, kill somebody?

Lisa: Oh, wow! Lucky, lucky me, here am I with the best looking young men in all of Oakdale. So, Darling, Sweetheart, it's all set up. The sound is ready whenever you are.

Gwen: You know what? I don't think that it's going to happen tonight.

Lisa: Why not?

Casey: Yeah, why not?

Gwen: Casey --

Casey: You know what? No, Adam, give me five minutes. You're not going to regret it, all right?

Adam: Okay, you win. Let's do it.

Craig: It's just a series of simple misunderstandings.

Barbara: There is nothing simple about your track record. Has everyone here forgotten that he almost killed a woman?

Dallas: Tonight?

Jessica: No, no, his former wife.

Craig: That was ruled an accident.

Paul: It wasn't an accident.

Jessica: He was cleared of those charges.

Paul: He's still not supposed to be anywhere near my nephew.

Craig: I went up to Barbara’s suite to deliver a message.

Paul: What message?

Barbara: No one is interested in anything you have to say --

Dallas: Where's the child now?

Barbara: With his daughter, in the ballroom.

Jessica: Lucy has him?

Barbara: Yes. And for all we know, they have something pre-arranged.

Dallas: Okay, I'll go check the ballroom.

Paul: No, you know what? I'll do it myself.

Craig: No, I'm going to go here with my date.

Dallas: Look, okay, fine. We'll all go, but you don't leave my sight.

Craig: Happy to cooperate, Officer.

Jessica: Oh, please.

Lucinda: What are you waiting for? Go arrest him.

Craig: See, there he is, safe and sound.

Margo: What is this, your entourage?

Dallas: And I hear there's a court order against this guy?

Margo: Yes, thank you, Dallas. I'll take it from here.

Barbara: Brother or no brother, arrest him, Margo.

Jessica: Come on, Dallas. Let Margo’s family sort this out.

Barbara: Thank you.

Dallas: Whatever you say. I'll be nearby if you need me, all right?

Margo: Great. That's great. Thanks.

Chaz: Do you want me to find Dusty?

Dusty: I'm right here. You go near my son again, and I'll kill you.

Margo: Hey. Don't make threats like that with a room full of police officers. So, Craig, what was this whole evening about?

Craig: You've seen what it's about! We raised a small fortune for Memorial Hospital.

Dusty: To you, it was about getting close to my son.

Craig: I'm sorry you see it that way.

Margo: Did you or did you not go to Barbara’s suite?

Craig: Yes, but I --

Margo: Then I'm sorry, Craig, I have no choice but to arrest you for a violation --

Craig: Wait, wait, I have something here that might change your mind. Tom, would you do the honors?

Dusty: What is it?

Tom: The restraining order against Craig has been overturned. There is no legal reason that he can't spend time with his son from now on.

Prince Adolpho: Thank you for escorting us, Officer.

Jack: Not a problem. I assume you'd be returning to the ballroom?

Prince Adolpho: Shall we?

Carly: Are we under surveillance?

Jack: Of course not.

Carly: Well, in that case, I think we should go for a drink. There's a great jazz club over on Market Street.

Jack: Sorry to throw water on your plans, but stick to the Lakeview. It makes security easier to handle.

Prince Adolpho: The lounge, perhaps?

Carly: Yes, yes, okay, perfect. We'll get to know one another over a nice long drink.

Jack: Keep her to one martini, your highness.

Prince Adolpho: What happens after one?

Jack: I don't think you want to find out.

Prince Adolpho: Or perhaps I do.

Carly: Good night, Detective Snyder. Shall we go to the lounge?

Prince Adolpho: The officer said merely that we had to stay at the hotel. The penthouse has a beautiful view.

Carly: Oh, yes. Let's go.

Handler: A word, your highness?

Prince Adolpho: Will you excuse me for a moment?

Carly: Of course. Is something wrong?

Prince Adolpho: Yes, there's been a breach of security. Vienna's off with another man.

Carly: Excuse me, but Dolly, weren't we just on our way up to your penthouse, just the two of us?

Prince Adolpho: Yes, but you're not wearing a small fortune in precious jewels. I must attend to this immediately.

Carly: But I was so looking forward to our drink. I'm sure she's fine.

Prince Adolpho: We will have that drink when I return.

Carly: Please, stay.

Prince Adolpho: Soon, Grace. Very soon.

Jack: Oh, did you lose your prince already?

Carly: Not now, Jack.

Jack: I'm sure he'll be back. Just stay out of that death trap he calls a car.

Carly: Is that an order?

Jack: Are you hoping that if you get on his good side, he'll buy you one of your own?

Carly: Well, yes Jack, really that's all I need. A rich prince to make me happy. I was just faking it all those years of grocery shopping and doing laundry, and picking up after our children. Really, I was just biding my time, waiting for my prince to come. It's amazing how well you know me after all our years together.

Jack: I wasn't serious, Carly.

Carly: Right, Jack. Don't you have other citizens to serve and protect?

Jack: When it comes to protecting you, Carly, I'll always make the time.

Carly: Oh, please, Simon, don't blow it.

Simon: You know what? I should order another bottle of champagne.

Vienna: No, no, no more champagne.

Simon: Oh, come on. The prince has turned you into a lightweight.

Vienna: I want to drink you in, Simon, until I can't get enough.

[Vienna is passed out on the bed]

Simon: Vienna? Vienna?

[Banging on the door]

Prince Adolpho: What is the meaning of this?

Coming up on "As the World Turns."

Dusty: I'll get that order reinstated. Trust me.

Tom: Until you do, he has every legal right to spend time with his son.

Craig: That's right and for starters, I would like to hold my boy. Lucy?

Paul: Did Craig make a move on you?

Lisa: Gwen Munson.

[Applause]

Carly: I was this close to being road kill. And the crown jewels just got carried out of here with the royal tart. I hate you, Simon!

Simon: You are just in time, Mr. Highness.

Prince Adolpho: In my country you'd be hanged for this.

Simon: This is not how it looks. See, I noticed that Vienna was drinking rather excessively. So, I didn't want her to embarrass you or our host, so I brought her up here, into my room, ducked out to get some coffee, came back, and she was undressed, and passed out.

Prince Adolpho: Step away from her.

Simon: I didn't want the press blowing this up into a royal scandal, especially with the crown jewels at risk.

Prince Adolpho: I said step away.

Simon: Just didn't want her humiliating the crown, Sir.

Prince Adolpho: You were to keep an eye on her.

Handler: My apologies, your highness.

Simon: It wasn't his fault. She gave the security people the slip.

Prince Adolpho: Then you should have called them yourself.

Simon: There wasn't enough time, Sir. You see, she was wandering up and down the halls, singing, threatening to strip off her clothes. And as I said before, with the press so close by, it could have been a public relations disaster.

Prince Adolpho: Take her to my suite immediately. Make sure she's properly covered and have security attend to the jewels.

Handler: Of course, your highness.

Prince Adolpho: We will be together soon, my American beauty. And as for you -- thank you for assisting Vienna.

Simon: Oh, it was an honor, Sir.

Carly: Well, I held up my end of the deal.

Simon: Yes, you did, my American beauty.

Carly: While you were here doing who knows what with the lovely Vienna, Prince Leadfoot out there, nearly got me killed on Route 30! Then, I walk in here and see that she's still got the jewelry around her neck.

Simon: It was a good night, Carly. A good night.

Carly: Good? Good? I was this close to being road kill, and the crown jewels just got carried out of here with the royal tart. I hate you, Simon!

Luke: You okay?

Jade: Okay, get it over with. Tell me how coming here was stupid. How I have no right trying to have fun in this town.

Luke: Is that your defense? Self pity?

Jade: You saw how they went after me.

Luke: So move to Siberia.

Jade: I might have to if your mom finds out I showed up at this party after she ordered me not to.

Luke: Well, you better tell her first before somebody else does.

Jade: Are you crazy?

Luke: It won't be that bad.

Jade: Luke, I lied to her, again.

Luke: So stop lying.

Jade: I don't get it. Casey gets Gwen pregnant, lies to the whole world about it, he's Mr. Perfect. Will cheats on his wife, no problem. Maddie slices up some girl's car --

Luke: Yeah, yeah, okay, all that's true, but you messed up, too.

Jade: I'm just saying, if they've made mistakes, why can't they forgive me for mine?

Lisa: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, Oakdale’s fine, young singer, Gwen Munson.

[Applause]

Adam: Luke should have been back with Jade by now.

Casey: Would you just listen, please?

[Gwen singing]

Gwen: Tell me baby.

Adam: I got to see what's going on?

Casey: Not yet, not yet.

Adam: And besides I told them I would call --

Gwen: I've got no weapons drawn, yeah cuz' I'm just listening to dial tones. I'm dialing numbers, but you ain't home cuz' I'm thinking about you just thinking about, that kiss.

Adam: Whoa. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Gwen: But I'm thinking about licking my lips --

Casey: Told you, Bro.

Gwen: Yeah, I'm thinking bout, just thinking about it.

Dusty: Can I see those?

Tom: It's legal, Dusty. This court order was imposed on Jennifer’s behalf. Now that she's gone, the judge has ruled null and void. Not only that, Craig's position as Johnny’s biological father has been fully acknowledged.

Dusty: I'm his parent. I've got adoption papers.

Tom: And nothing changes regarding custody. You retain full custodial rights as Johnny’s legal guardian.

Barbara: Are you saying that Craig can't be arrested?

Tom: For what, Barbara? He's broken no law.

Margo: Are you sure that you didn't know that this was in the works?

Tom: Of course, I didn't know. But I'll call Judge Lowry and see if I can get some background on it.

Craig: Do that.

Dusty: No judge is going to tell me what to do with my son.

Craig: It's only a matter of time before I shred that sham of a custody arrangement, as well.

Dusty: You'll never get my son.

Lucy: Daddy, please don't make threats like that.

Craig: Tell me how not to love my son. I couldn't walk away from Johnny even more I could walk away from you.

Dusty: You got a bad habit of destroying what you love.

Barbara: Not this time. I have an army of lawyers too, Craig.

Craig: I'm ready. You'd be surprised who will line up on my side.

Paul: Let's just go.

Craig: So, Dusty, I think that we have a little bit of unfinished business between us.

Paul: Hey, hey, what was that look he gave you back there?

Meg: Craig is just trying to get to you.

Paul: Did he get to you?

Meg: What?

Paul: Is that what happened? Is that why you came back to the party all flustered?

Meg: Could you be a little less suspicious?

Paul: Could you be a little more specific?

Meg: Okay, fine. Here's exactly what happened. Some assistant manager came up to me, saying that there was a guest at the hotel that needed medical assistance. He knew I was a nurse at the hospital. So, I went to check and when I got there, Craig opened the door.

Paul: Leave it to Craig to get you alone in his hotel room.

Meg: And the minute I realized who it was, I left. So he obviously didn't get to me, did he?

Paul: Why did he think that he would?

Meg: I don't know, Paul! Maybe he was trying to create a situation where you and I would end up fighting just like this!

Paul: Did he touch you?

Meg: Paul --

Paul: Come on, Meg. Tell me the truth. Did Craig make a move on you?

Dusty: I don't care how many judges say you're Johnny’s father. I'll do whatever I have to do to keep you away from my boy.

Craig: Tom?

Tom: Dusty, you can't stop Craig from petitioning the court.

Dusty: Come on, Tom. What a joke. What a joke! The magician, little disappearing act, chartering a plane, to make it look like he's leaving town?

Craig: I am leaving town. I have a meeting tomorrow in New York. And no one outside of my office would know that I chartered a private plane.

Margo: Come on, Craig, we've all got too many battle wounds to believe that you are the poor misunderstood guy here. Half the room was crazy looking for you, the other half was hoping that you'd fallen off the face of the earth.

Craig: I will not apologize for wanting to spend time with my son.

Dusty: You don't have a son.

Tom: Dusty --

Dusty: I'll get that order reinstated.

Tom: Until you do, he has every legal right to spend time with his son.

Craig: That's right. And for starters, I would like to hold my boy. Lucy, give me your brother.

Gwen: 'Cuz I'm thinking about, just thinking about it thinking about just thinking about it thinking about just thinking about it, yeah. [Cheers and applause] Thank you. Thank you so much for letting me sing.

Lisa: Oh, Darling, you've got yourself a booking here anytime you want.

Gwen: Oh, thank you.

Lisa: Yes.

Will: You were great.

Gwen: Really?

Will: Yeah.

Gwen: What did the big brother think?

Casey: Don't worry. He always looks like this when he's in shock.

Adam: I'm not in shock. Blown away, maybe, but not in shock.

Gwen: Really?

Adam: You're good, Gwen, really good. But the name's got to change.

Will: What?

Casey: I kinda like Gwen --

Adam: No, I do, too. But Munson doesn't sell CDs. Munson makes for a great cop, but Morrison, now that makes for a great singer.

Casey: Like Jim, Van --

Gwen: Okay, um, let's put the whole name thing on hold for a second. What did you think about the sound?

Adam: All the raw material is there. But it could be polished up a little bit. But we get the right production team, we can smooth out the rough spots. But, you know, that takes money. And you need a label to give you a shot on spec, and they didn't give a shot unless you're a sure thing. You write your own stuff?

Gwen: Yeah, sometimes.

Adam: All right, that's cool. Look, we'll talk about this later. I have to go.

Gwen: Thank you.

Adam: No, thank these clowns. They made me stay. I'll see you guys later.

Casey: I told you he knows music.

Maddie: Yeah, well, women are a whole different story.

Casey: Yeah, you know what? Forget that. Let's just go back at the dorms. They're having a Halloween party.

Will: Why don't you guys back? I think we're going to hang out here.

Maddie: You sure?

Gwen: Yeah, we'll call you on your cell if we change our mind.

Casey: All right, don't be too late. 'Cuz the keg might be gone. What? It's a joke.

Maddie: Okay, I'll drive.

Casey: I can close one eye.

Gwen: It's very good to see them like that.

Will: Yeah.

Gwen: So, what do you think? Your brother was just being nice to me?

Will: No, he's never just being nice. If he didn't like you, he would say so.

Gwen: But you heard what he said. You know, talent's not enough.

Will: Yeah, but it's a good start. You should actually remind me to thank him later.

Gwen: For staying to listen?

Will: No. For helping me figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Luke: Wait here. I'll go get the car.

Jade: Luke? Thanks.

Luke: For what?

Jade: For the advice, for rescuing me again.

Luke: Just think about what I said.

Jade: I will. I'm going to start by telling your mother the truth. So, she doesn't have to drag it out of me.

Luke: What? What's so funny?

Jade: I was just thinking, how they tore my head off tonight. I should have come as Marie Antoinette.

Luke: I'll be right back, okay.

Adam: Jade?

Jade: I'm leaving. Luke is getting the car.

Adam: I'm so sorry I talked you into this.

Jade: It's not your fault.

Adam: I just don't get what's up with Will and Casey.

Jade: They didn't tell you?

Adam: I don't want to hear it from them. I want to hear it from you. Why is everyone against you, Jade?

Simon: If you would just let me get a word in --

Carly: I don't want to hear another word out of your mouth!

Simon: Well, Vienna was very tough.

Carly: Tough? No, no, no. Simon, tough is having your life flash before your eyes at 100 miles an hour. Tough is trying to keep your stomach out of your throat on a hairpin turn. And tough is definitely having Jack look at me like I've whored myself out to some man just because he's got a title before his name. Now, all I was trying to do was keep the royal knives from carving out your heart, and what do I get in return? Nothing! We're back to square one, aren't we? With some loan shark who wants tear us limb from limb --

Simon: And we're back in business. Whoa, where'd that come from?

Carly: No, I just -- just saw Vienna wearing --

Simon: The very good replica of Prince Adolpho's precious jewels.

Carly: Replica?

Simon: We did it, Carly. We did it.

Carly: We did? We did it? We did it! We did it! We did it!

Maddie: Are you sure you don't mind missing the party?

Casey: Yes, I'm sure. There's a lot of people there and I'm tired.

Maddie: Where's Elwood?

Casey: Probably at Pi Gamma geek with all his computer buddies. Do you want a soda?

Maddie: Sure.

Casey: Okay.

Maddie: Okay. Thanks.

Casey: So, what do you want to do now?

Maddie: We could read, I guess.

Casey: No, no, we cannot read. I was up half the night reading for my lit class. Poetry, believe it or not. T.S. Elliot.

Maddie: I love T.S. Elliot.

Casey: Why did I know you would say that?

Maddie: No, I'm really don't feel like reading. I'm not really in the mood.

Casey: Did we check your temperature? Are you sick?

Maddie: I'm not sick. Actually, I'm in the mood for this.

Casey: Well, I'm like this mood.

Maddie: When I'm with you, I feel like all the bad things never happened. I can pretend that there was no Louis or there was no Slasher that turned out to be my sister.

Casey: You don't have to pretend anymore. Because you've faced it and you dealt with it. We've dealt with it. We can do this together.

Maddie: Where are you going?

Casey: To lock the door.

[A guy comes in with a mask like the Slasher work with a knife]

[Maddie screams]

Adam: So what's the story with you and my brothers?

Jade: You're a nice guy and thanks for inviting me to the party. But Luke's taking me home.

Adam: Wait, wait, wait. You're running out on me. Why?

Jade: Once you find out, why your brothers are on my case, you're not going to want to be around me anymore.

Adam: Why don't you let me decide that, okay? So far, nobody's told me anything, including you. What's the big mystery?

Luke: Jade, ready to go?

Adam: Wait, wait, wait. Just, let me say something first. Nothing against Luke, but you're my date. I brought you here. I only think its right that I take you home. If you let me.

Will: No, just let me finish.

Gwen: It's not going to work.

Will: Yes, it will. I want to do this. And you heard Adam.

Gwen: He's your brother. What is he supposed to say? I'm sorry, Will, your wife stinks.

Will: No, he wouldn't lie about this. He thinks you have what it takes, and so do I. And I want to be the person to make it happen for you.

Gwen: Okay, but singing is my dream. You got to make your own dreams come true.

Will: Gwen, you are my dream. I've got the money. So, we can put out a demo, and then maybe put together a little tour. And then, you know, once it gets some recognition and a big label picks it up, then, I'll go straight back to school. All right, we can live together, we'll work together, and I promise I will never give you any singing advice.

Gwen: You can’t. I've heard you in the shower and you're terrible.

Will: I know. So, how about it?

Gwen: You don't have to pour a small fortune into my career to prove that you love me. You know, you don't have to prove anything.

Will: I want to. You know how much I loved my dad, right? He wasn't perfect, you know, far from it. But maybe if he'd invested a little more time into my mom's dreams, they might still be together. Because, you know, that's what happens when people share a dream, they stay a family. And I want to do that for us. I want to do that for you. I want to make Gwen Morrison a star.

Gwen: Okay, it's a deal. But the name's Munson. Mrs. Gwen Munson.

Craig: Lucy, I have a right to hold my son.

Dusty: Lucy, don't do it.

Margo: Dusty --

Dusty: Margo, if you want to arrest me, go ahead. But he's not touching my son.

Craig: I'll give him right back. Just for a moment. I don't want to make a scene.

Lucy: Johnny belongs with his father.

Craig: I won't make an issue of this tonight. I don't want to embarrass you or Jennifer’s memory. But this time, the law is on my side, Dusty, so you comply or you face the consequences. Excuse me.

Paul: Look, I know how this guy operates.

Meg: Yeah, so do I.

Paul: And if he tried to touch or intimidate you, I'd like to know about it. Meg? Will you please just tell me what happened upstairs?

Meg: For the last time, nothing happened. Are we going to argue every time Craig looks at me?

Paul: I just don't want to lose you.

Meg: You won't ever lose me.

Paul: And I don't trust that guy.

Meg: I've heard that about a million times tonight. I love you, Paul. Do you hear me? I love you.

Paul: Well, I love you, too.

[Emily overhears Paul and Meg]

Craig: It hurts like hell when someone betrays your trust, doesn't it, Emily?

Carly: How did you do it?

Simon: I managed to acquire a very detailed photo of the crown jewels.

Carly: And you had a copy made?

Simon: An exquisitely good copy.

Carly: And you don't think they'll find out?

Simon: Hopefully, not for a very long time.

Carly: And didn't the jeweler wonder why you wanted a replica?

Simon: No, the jewelers' a friend. I told him I wanted to treat my girlfriend like royalty.

Carly: Well, I feel better than royalty.

Simon: You were magnificent tonight, and no one will find out quite how magnificent you were, because this will not be traced back to you. I promise.

Carly: I'm what Jack would call a red-hot accomplice.

Simon: A very, very red hot accomplice.

Carly: I've never felt what I felt tonight before. Walking on the edge, my heart pounding. It's either get caught or win the grand prize. And we did it, we walked away with the jackpot.

Simon: Well, sinful pleasures are the very best kind.

Carly: Yeah, the thrill -- it was exhilarating. You know, like, almost -- almost better than sex.

Simon: Are you kidding me? Nothing is better than sex.

On the next "As the World Turns."

[Maddie screaming]

Casey: Who are you and what are you doing here?

Ernie: I'm Ernie. Happy Halloween! Happy Halloween!

Casey: Happy Halloween! Do you think it's a joke?

Maddie: Casey!

Ernie: Get off of me!

Maddie: Casey, stop it! Casey, stop it!

Carly: An experience like that, it probably can't be repeated.

Simon: Well, I'm ready when you are.

[Knock on the door]

Emily: You have no idea what I want.

Craig: Of course I do. Since I want the same thing.
