Luke: All right.

Lily: Nice.

Luke: Yeah, that's a good one.

Lily: Yeah --

Luke: Hey, Natalie.

Holden: Hey!

Luke: Hey, I love your costume.

Lily: You look great.

Holden: Okay, one more.

Lily: Cheese!

[Doorbell rings]

Luke: Oh, I'll get it.

Lily: Okay, thanks.

[Luke laughs]

Lucy: Trick or treat!

Luke: You look awesome. I don't know -- wow! Hey, do we have candy for them? Or should I tell them to try their luck next door?

Lily: Wow! Look at that. You were taking this royalty thing to the limits. It's beautiful. It's gorgeous.

Lucinda: Darling, it comes naturally.

Lily: Well, come on in. We're taking pictures. Come on, come on in. Look at this. Don't they look fantastic?

Holden: Wow, look at you guys. You look great.

Lily: Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.

Lucinda: Well, hello, everyone.

Lily: Let's take some pictures, come on.

Lucinda: Pictures, wonderful. All right. Wait a moment. Somebody's missing. Where is she? My heart. My darling Faith.

Lily: Oh, Faith is a little too cool for going trick-or-treating. She's at a party with her friends. No costumes.

Lucinda: Oh, my heavens, have we gotten to that age already?

Lily: I'm afraid we have, Mother.

Luke: Okay, okay, okay. Okay, all right. Can you stop complaining long enough for just one picture? One picture? Okay. Thanks.

Lucy: So, where's Jade? I thought she was coming to the gala?

Lily: Jade thought it would be a good idea not to go, since Will and Gwen will be there, it might be a little awkward.

Lucinda: Oh, what a relief. We are going to have an evening blessedly Jade-free.

Tom: I'm going to be right back.

Margo: Okay, okay. Are you nervous?

Maddie: I just thought Casey would be here sooner. Do you think he got caught up at school?

Margo: No, I think he couldn't wait to see you, so he got here early. I'm going to go find Tom.

Casey: Wow.

Maddie: Really?

Casey: Yes, really.

Will: Have you guys seen Gwen?

Maddie: She had an exam.

Will: Yeah, I know. She was supposed to be finished like an hour ago.

Casey: Yeah, she'll be here soon. We'll just see you in there.

Will: Okay.

Gwen: I know what you're thinking. I'm sorry I'm late.

Will: I'm thinking that it is awesome to be married. Because I get to leave here with the most beautiful woman ever. Actually, in fact, we should --

Gwen: Whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait. We can't leave yet.

Will: Well, we can come back later.

Gwen: No, we gotta pick up our date.

Katie: Oh, I didn't realize there were going to be so many photographers here. Can I go check my makeup?

Mike: Yeah, sure. Let me do this.

Katie: I'll meet you in the ballroom.

Mike: All right. Hey, Buddy, where's your costume?

Jack: You're very, very funny. I'm in charge of security tonight.

Mike: Mm --

Jack: Yeah.

Mike: I didn't think I'd ever see her again.

Jack: You know her?

Mike: Yeah, she was with Simon when Katie and I went on that cruise. I should've known she'd be anywhere millions of dollars worth of jewels were involved.

Jack: Yeah, well, thanks to Craig Montgomery, everybody knows the price tag of those little beauties.

Mike: Makes your job tough.

Jack: Especially when the town's biggest criminal is running the show.

Emily: Hi.

Craig: Hey, how are things out front?

Emily: Busy. Very busy. Photographers and reporters from all the major outlets.

Craig: The prince talks to no one but us.

Emily: We've got the exclusive. It's confirmed. Relax.

Craig: Where are you going?

Emily: To check on the prince, make sure he and Ms. Hyatt are ready for their entrance. Why?

Craig: No, let Terry handle that. I want you here, watching and listening. Maybe you can pick up a few tidbits for "The Intruder."

Emily: I thought that's what you were going to do?

Craig: Well, that's what I'm doing. Paul, I'm surprised to see you here. And in costume, too. Did you talk him into coming?

Meg: Bob Hughes wanted the hospital staff here, and Paul decided to keep me company.

Craig: Well, if I were your fiancé, I wouldn't let you out of my sight, either. And I knew that gown would look great on you, and it fits perfectly.

Paul: Everything looks good on Meg.

Craig: Even you? See you later.

Paul: You didn't tell me he picked out the costume.

Meg: He got costumes for all the nurses. I told you.

Paul: But you didn't tell me that he picked that gown out for you especially.

Margo: Ooh, you look great!

Katie: So do you.

Margo: So, where's Mike?

Katie: He is getting drinks.

Margo: He's not here.

Katie: Who? Okay, so I'm looking for Simon.

Margo: Why?

Katie: Because trouble is a lot easier to deal with when you can see it coming.

Carly: What are you hiding?

Simon: The less you know, the better. Why aren't you dressed?

Carly: Change in plans. The less you know, the better.

Simon: Explain.

Carly: You first. We're in this together, Simon. Up to our eyeballs. And if we don't get those jewels, we're dead.

Simon: What change in plans?

Carly: Did you happen to notice that this place is crawling with security?

Simon: Carly --

Carly: All right. I figured it out. I know exactly how to get our Prince Adolpho away from that Vienna person and away from his country's precious jewels.

Chaz: What are we waiting for?

Dusty: Montgomery's next move.

Chaz: Maybe we should take the kid out of here for the night.

Dusty: Why's that, Chaz? You can't protect him upstairs?

Chaz: Yeah, if I know what I'm protecting him from.

Emily: Dusty, hi.

Dusty: Hey.

Emily: Sorry, I couldn't get away.

Dusty: That's okay. What'd you find out?

Emily: I don't know what it means, but I saw Craig talking to a guy at Yo’s -- a stranger.

Dusty: About what?

Emily: He told the guy he wanted to make someone disappear tonight.

Luke: Come on, Nat, want to go get some loot?

Natalie: Yeah!

Lily: All right!

Jade: Somebody's excited. Ms. Walsh. Lucy.

Lucinda: Jade. And what are you planning on doing this evening, Dear?

Jade: I guess I'll stay here and pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

Lucinda: Home? Alone? Lock up the crown jewels.

Lucy: Grandmother --

Holden: Lucinda, stop. [Doorbell rings] I'll get it. Hi -- can I help you?

Dr. Connor: Yeah, I'm a friend of Lucy Montgomery’s. She asked me to meet her here.

Lucy: Hi, Steve.

Dr. Connor: Great costume.

Lucy: Thanks.

Lucinda: Lucy, ask the young man in.

Lucy: Everybody, this is Steve Connor, Dr. Connor. He's a friend from the hospital. We should go. Happy Halloween, everyone.

Lily: That was odd.

Lucinda: Yes, what was the rush? Luke, Darling, I think you and I better get ourselves over to the gala and find out why Lucy isn't out with the person we thought she was going to be out with tonight.

Luke: You go ahead, Grandmother. I think I'm just going to stay here with Jade.

Jade: No, no, you aren't! Luke, go!

Luke: I don't care about a stupid costume party.

Jade: Oh, come on. But your grandmother does. And she's going to hate me more if you stand her up.

Luke: Yeah, but I feel bad.

Jade: Don't feel bad. Listen, get the dish. Come home and we'll talk about it later.

Luke: Okay. I'll be home early. Ready?

Lucinda: And they say that grandchildren are easy. Come along, Darling. Let's go.

Lily: Have fun.

Lucinda: Bye, Sweetheart.

Lily: Bye-bye. I apologize for my mother.

Holden: Yeah, don't take it personally. Lily and I were married for five years before she stopped calling me "That Snyder boy."

Jade: That's not true.

Lily: You know what? It doesn't matter what my mother thinks, you're a part of this family. So why don't you get your coat and come trick-or-treating with us? Right, Natalie?

Casey: Have you guys been out here kissing the whole time?

Gwen: No.

Will: No, actually, we're waiting for my mom. She's been having a really hard time since Dad died.

Gwen: Yeah, so I promised her we'd all go to gala together.

Will: Yeah, and we'll probably end up leaving early.

Casey: Whoa, whoa, no, no. You gotta wait until Adam get here.

Gwen: Why?

Casey: Because he hasn't heard you sing yet.

Gwen: Oh, come on, what am I supposed to do? Audition for him in the lobby? A little spoon act? Ding-a-ling, ding, ding!

Casey: Yeah, why not?

Gwen: Look, he's not interested. He doesn't want to hear me sing and I'm okay with that. I just -- I don't want to push it anymore, okay? Hey, let's go call your mom.

Will: Okay.

Maddie: She's really okay with it.

Casey: Yeah, well, she shouldn't be. My own brother, I ask him for one favor in a million years and he blows me off. I mean, Gwen’s good.

Maddie: I know, and you're really good, too. And as soon as Adam shows up, I'm going to tell him that.

Casey: Yeah, if he shows up. Thanks. Thanks.

Maddie: You're welcome.

Adam: Have you seen Casey anywhere?

Margo: He and Maddie are around someplace.

Adam: Okay, well, just tell him I'll catch him tomorrow, all right? Hey, how are things going with Craig?

Tom: You know what? I'm glad I took the job. You give good advice.

Adam: Good, good. Well, I want you and Mom to have more time for each other.

Margo: Well, we do, too.

Adam: Hey, have a blast.

Margo: All right.

Tom: All right. Well, this is outstanding. The two of us with a night out.

Margo: Yeah, thanks to Jack. I feel just a little itty-bitty-bitty bit guilty about just dumping this security detail on him.

Tom: Things seem pretty calm.

Margo: Yeah, I think so, for now. Until, of course, someone steals the crown jewels or something.

Simon: Carly, come on. We've got to get down there, now!

Carly: Don't rush me!

Simon: You know what? I can't work Vienna and steal her necklace if the party's over before I arrive.

Carly: This has to be perfect. I was up all night researching Prince Adolpho, and I found his weakness.

Simon: No, no, no, no. The whole goal of this was to keep your hands clean, and me do all the illegal stuff.

Carly: Well, I keep telling you. There is nothing legal about aiding and abetting grand larceny. But if it keeps Spirro from killing you, it's worth it. Now, go to the other side of the room.

Simon: Carly, we're late.

Carly: You have to get the full visual! Now, get to the other side of the room!

Simon: All right, fine. You know what? I'm stepping back, I'm on the other side of the room. I'm ready. Can you please come out and show me what Prince Adolph’s big weakness is? Grace Kelly.

Mike: Did you spot Simon yet?

Katie: I wasn't looking for him.

Mike: Well, I just figured he'd be here, seeing that he and Vienna used to be an item.

Katie: You're right. I hadn't even thought about that.

Mike: And now she's dating a prince. Go figure.

Katie: Well, she was pretty interested in you, too. Are you going to say hello?

Mike: I'm staying as far away from that crazy woman as possible. Why are we here again?

Craig: Because I asked you to come, and my sister felt obligated to attend. I know you've been avoiding me.

Katie: I'm not complaining tonight. If this is the kind of thing you're going to be doing, I'm might stop avoiding you.

Mike: It looks like you're going to raise a lot of money for the hospital.

Craig: A cutting edge procedure saved my child's life. If I can help save someone else's --

Katie: It must be difficult for you not to be able to see Johnny.

Craig: Margo sure looks great, doesn't she?

Katie: She does. Oh, thank you for telling me about Hal, by the way. That was surprisingly sweet of you.

Craig: Well, I've returned from prison a new man. And I hope tonight I can prove to you, and to everyone else, just how much I've changed.

Meg: Here you go.

Paul: Thank you.

Meg: Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you that Craig picked out the costume for me.

Paul: He's trying to break us up, you know that?

Meg: He is not. Why would Craig want to break us up? He doesn't care about us.

Paul: I've seen the way he looks at you. He dresses you. He wants you, Meg. Believe me, I know what that's like.

Meg: Paul, he's not getting me. I love you. I want to be your wife. I want to have your kids. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Paul: So why'd you wear this costume?

Meg: To show Craig that he's an idiot to think that he could get to us. And, because it looks good.

Paul: It does look good.

Private investigator: Mr. Ryan?

Paul: Oh, hi. This is Tim Brody. He's a private investigator.

Meg: Hi, nice to meet you.

Paul: So, what did you find out?

Private investigator: I got some information for you about Mr. Craig Montgomery.

Dusty: So Craig’s going to make someone disappear. He's not coming after my son, is he?

Emily: No, no.

Chaz: At least we got a description of the guy Montgomery was talking to.

Dusty: Yeah. Average height. Average weight. Very good, if you see the guy, let me know.

Emily: Okay. Okay.

Dusty: Take him upstairs, would you? And keep an eye on him?

Chaz: Yeah, I got it covered.

Dusty: If Montgomery comes after my kid --

Emily: I will keep an eye on Craig for you. Dusty, I promise.

Craig: Emily? You look tense. Is there a problem?

Holden: Come on.

Lily: Jade, you should come with us. It's going to be fun.

Holden: Yeah, we're just going to head down the street, see a few friends.

Jade: Well, most of your friends haven't seen Lily or Ethan yet, and I wouldn't feel right. And then you're dragging around some stranger that just so happens to be your long-lost niece.

Lily: I'm proud that you're my niece.

Jade: Well, who's going to hand out the candy?

Holden: The housekeeper.

Lily: Oh, right.

Jade: Can I get a rain check on next year?

Lily: Okay, if you get lonely, we're going to the Mastersons, the Lindens, all the rich people. They hand out the big candy bars, right? Come on.

Holden: Let's go!

Lily: All right, have fun.

Jade: Okay, have fun.

Lily: Bye.

Jade: Bye.

[Jade sets the bowl of candy down and leaves]

Will: So, if Mom doesn't want to come --

Gwen: Then, we'll go -- we'll go upstairs and keep her company. She shouldn't be alone right now. Your dad wouldn't want that.

Will: Hey, Mom. We were just coming to get you.

Barbara: Oh, hi, Honey. I couldn't make any decisions. I changed my hair, and then I changed my makeup --

Will: Oh, Mom, it's okay.

Gwen: If you don't feel like doing this, you know, we can just go back up to your place and hang out. We'll be much more comfortable.

Barbara: Well, then you two wouldn't have any fun, and I would feel terribly guilty. Besides, you look so beautiful. Am I all right?

Will: Yeah.

Gwen: Honestly, I would love to be as pretty as you one day.

Barbara: Will, whatever you do, don't lose this girl.

Will: I know.

Barbara: Come on, Sweetie. Okay, come on.

Carly: Prince Adolpho is obsessed with Grace Kelly. How am I doing?

Simon: Don't -- change a thing.

Carly: And I see you are ready to give Vienna the night of her life.

Simon: Why? Are you jealous?

Carly: Like I couldn't have you any time I wanted.

Simon: Any time except for now. Let's go.

Carly: Simon, no mistakes.

Simon: Carly, I don't make mistakes. I've taken care of every single detail, except for one. You.

Carly: Me?

Simon: Yes. Vienna has to believe that I am completely and utterly alone tonight. So you must, no matter what, try to keep your eyes off me.

Carly: Why don't I start practicing right now?

Simon: Okay.

Dusty: So, Lucinda needs an extra press kit for one of the reporters.

Emily: And I'll make sure my assistant gets you one right away.

Craig: Well, we should go. It's time for the prince and his lady to make their entrance.

Emily: Oh, good. Good.

Craig: Dusty, I want to thank you for being so gracious about my involvement with the benefit tonight.

Dusty: Well, you can't say no to helping kids.

Craig: That's true. Speaking of kids --

Dusty: Don't ask me about Johnny.

Craig: Oh, no, I was going to ask about my daughter. I assumed that you and Lucy would be here together.

Dusty: She's going to the party. So am I.

Craig: Great. We should hurry. We don't want to miss the magic.

Kim: Isn't this just a wonderful turnout tonight? I just hope there's no trouble.

Mike: Do you think there would be?

Kim: Well, Craig’s here, you know. Oh, sorry, no offense intended.

Katie: It's okay. None taken. I know my brother.

Kim: Oh, doesn't Carly look just beautiful? She seems to be alone. I was so disappointed when I found out she and Jack had separated. I certainly hope they manage to find their way back to one another eventually.

Katie: Me, too.

Lucinda: Darling, I'm so glad, Lucy, that you got here in one piece. The two of you took off in such a rush.

Lucy: Excuse us, we were just about to get a drink.

Luke: Oh, I can get it.

Lucinda: No, no, Dr. Connor can get the drinks. He's an orthopedist.

Dr. Connor: My pleasure.

Luke: Well, I'll give you a hand.

Dr. Connor: Okay.

Lucy: Well, that was subtle.

Lucinda: Oh, well, then you won't like this, Darling. What is it now? What is it now between you and dusty?

Lucy: Dusty needed the night to focus on my father, in case he tried anything.

Lucinda: Oh, well, that seems absolutely reasonable to me.

Lucy: Well, that left me without a date. So, when Steve asked me, I said yes.

Lucinda: And it doesn't matter if dusty feels a little jealously? I mean, throw that in and the bargain's worth it?

Lucy: I'm not playing those games.

Dusty: Elizabeth? Lucy, you look fantastic.

Lucinda: It is I.

Dusty: Yes.

Lucinda: Don't you think I look fantastic, too?

Dusty: I do. You're stunning.

Lucinda: Thank you, Darling.

Dusty: Lucy, if your dad behaves, we can hang out later. Would you save the last dance for me?

Lucy: Well --

Dr. Connor: Ms. Walsh.

Lucinda: Oh, thank you.

Dr. Connor: Here you are, Lucy.

Lucinda: Dr. -- What's your name? Dr. Connor is Lucy’s date for the evening.

Dusty: Nice to meet you.

Private investigator: So, Montgomery hired a magician for the party.

Paul: That's it? That's what you found out?

Private investigator: It could be important. You never know with magic tricks.

Paul: Right. Why don't you go see if you can come up with something better?

Meg: Why don't we perform a little magic of our own and forget about Craig?

Bob: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. As chief of staff of Memorial Hospital, I'd like to thank you for coming. As you all know, the proceeds from this gala will be going to the pediatric unit at Memorial Hospital. A very worthy cause. There's one person that I would like to point out to you, in particular. A man who's worked behind the scenes for this event. Mr. Craig Montgomery. Craig?

[Applause]

Craig: Bob. I want to remind everyone that we've set up a silent auction in the international room next door, so please check out the offerings and bid generously. In fact, who would bid me $100 right now to keep this short?

Tom: I will!

Craig: Sold! So, may I present our most honored guests. His royal highness, Adolpho, the Prince of Leonia, and his lovely companion, Ms. Vienna Hyatt!

[Applause]

Jack: Nice dress.

Carly: Where's your costume?

Jack: Just a second. Diego, Franklin, secure the door. Copy that.

Prince Adolpho: Thank you. It is an honor to be here. And I look forward to meeting you all, but for now -- let the party begin. Please, join us on the dance floor.

[Applause]

Carly: You're on duty?

Jack: Yeah. Someone's got to protect those diamonds.

Coming up on "As the World Turns" --

Simon: I saw you talking to Vienna, and now she's gone. What did you say to her?

Katie: I told her the truth. That you're with Carly now.

Vienna: You. With me.

Magician: Say good-bye to Mr. Montgomery, everyone.

[All shouting]

Craig: Good-bye!

Rowdy guy: Hey there, sweet thing. Let me buy you a drink.

Jade: No, I'm kind of into being alone tonight, thanks.

Rowdy guy: Oh, you don't have to thank me now. You can thank me later when I rock your world.

Jade: I really appreciate the offer, but I'm gonna have to pass.

Adam: Hey, the lady said no. I heard her, and I was standing way over there, so I know you got the message. Do you want me to deliver the message again?

Rowdy guy: You want her? Take her.

Jade: Thanks.

Adam: Hey, not everybody comes to a bar to socialize. Sometimes you want to go to a place where nobody knows your name.

Jade: Yeah, exactly.

Adam: Well.

Jade: I mean, I didn't exactly want to be alone. I just didn't want to be with that creep. Not that he's a creep. I don't even know who he is. It -- I'm sorry, I've given you way too much information.

Adam: More like too little. Well, if you want company, why aren't you out partying somewhere with your friends?

Jade: I don't have friends.

Adam: That's it? That's all I get?

Jade: Unless I get to know you better, which -- you probably don't want to go there.

Adam: Why not?

Jade: Well, I don't have any friends. There could be a reason.

Adam: I'll take my chances. My name's Adam.

Jade: Jade.

Margo: Hi, you guys having a good time?

Casey: Yeah?

Maddie: Yeah, I am.

Tom: Did you see Adam?

Casey: Wait, he's here?

Tom: He was, he just really wasn't in the mood for a party. He's still -- he's kind of having trouble dealing with Hal’s death.

Casey: He couldn't at least find me and say hi?

Margo: You know what? You should call him.

Casey: Why?

Margo: Because he should be back here with people. He should be around people.

Tom: You know, Adam is a grown man. He knows what he needs. So do me a favor, just don't pressure him.

Margo: I'm not going to pressure him. I'm getting Casey to pressure him. Or Will -- Will, you could pressure him.

Will: Pressure who?

Casey: Adam. Mom wants him here.

Will: Well, let's do it.

Casey: Let's not.

Will: I'll go work on him.

Barbara: Who's that Lucy’s dancing with?

Dusty: That's her date.

Barbara: Oh –

[Cell phone rings]

Barbara: Well, maybe that's for the best.

[Dusty answers his cell phone]

Dusty: Yeah? I'll be right there.

Barbara: Was that about Craig?

Dusty: Yeah, I gotta go.

Barbara: Be careful.

Dusty: What's up?

Emily: I got a call from the executive assistant at the newspaper. He couldn't reach Craig, so he asked me to pass along a message.

Dusty: Bad news?

Emily: Craig's hired a jet.

Dusty: Departing when?

Emily: Tonight. It's fueled, staffed and ready to take off, Dusty.

Paul: What's wrong?

Meg: I'm starving.

Paul: Oh, yeah?

Meg: Yeah.

Paul: For?

Meg: Food first, you later.

Craig: Excuse me. I’m expecting a very important package to be delivered here. Would you let me know the minute it arrives?

Waiter: Yes, sir.

Craig: Thank you.

Kim: Your highness, it's a pleasure to meet you. And Ms. Hyatt, you are so lovely.

Prince Adolpho: The crown jewels become her, do they not?

Bob: Certainly do. Listen, I hope you'll stay with us for awhile. This is a pretty nice town.

Prince Adolpho: So I've been told. Vienna actually knows some people here.

Kim: Really? What are their names?

Vienna: Oh, I keep forgetting the woman's name, but I do remember she has a very handsome husband. I met them on a cruise. Excuse me.

Bob: Certainly.

Prince Adolpho: So outrageous. I love that about her.

Vienna: Simon --

Simon: Vienna. You know, I never really quite prepared for how beautiful you really are.

Vienna: Really?

Simon: I think about you a lot. I can't help myself.

Vienna: How's that ex-wife of yours? What was her name again?

Simon: Katie. Katie is very, very happily married.

Vienna: Oh, so it's over between the two of you?

Simon: Yes, it is. And, you know what? I have no right to say this, I'm sorry.

Vienna: Oh, go ahead, live a little.

Simon: I am so sorry I let you go.

Vienna: You should be.

Simon: I want you so bad I can taste it. Say you'll be with me tonight.

Vienna: But the prince --

Simon: I'll get you a cocktail. I remember what you like.

Vienna: Simon --

Simon: Make your excuses with the prince. Find a way.

Simon: I told you not to look at me.

Carly: Simon, call it off. Don't try and take the jewels.

Simon: Why, what happened?

Carly: Jack -- Jack is working security.

Katie: Hello, Vienna.

Vienna: Hello, Kitty.

Katie: You know my name is Katie.

Vienna: Right, of course. And your husband is Mike, yes? Oh, where is he?

Katie: Avoiding you.

Vienna: What do you want?

Katie: There's something you should know about Simon.

Vienna: Ah, he's over you.

Katie: Yes, he is.

Vienna: So we have nothing to say then.

Katie: Except -- Simon may be over me, but he's in love with someone else.

Simon: Look, everything's in motion. I've got to go through with this.

Carly: What about Jack?

Simon: I'll handle the rest on my own.

Carly: No, Simon, you can’t. And what about the prince? How are you going to get him out of the way?

Simon: Don't worry about me. With Jack here, you've got way too much to lose. Stay out of it.

Prince Adolpho: Excuse me.

Carly: Yes, your highness?

Prince Adolpho: I saw you earlier, but I couldn't believe my eyes. And now I must know. What is your name?

Carly: Why, it's Grace, your highness. You may call me Grace.

Lisa: Prince Adolpho, it's wonderful to see you again.

Prince Adolpho: Mrs. Grimaldi.

Lisa: You having a good time?

Prince Adolpho: I'm having a splendid time. Your hotel is splendid. Fit for a king, not merely a prince. You owe me a dance.

Lisa: Oh, well, I certainly believe in paying my debts then. So, shall we?

Prince Adolpho: Of course. Excuse me.

[Vienna grabs Carly by the arm]

Vienna: You. With me.

Maddie: So, Jade's your cousin?

Luke: Yeah, pretty amazing. And no, she won't be here tonight.

[Will and Casey are talking on the cell phone to their brother Adam]

Adam: Yeah, of course I'd like to spend more time with you guys, but --

Casey: Oh, I'd never thought you'd go all Hollywood on us, bro. What, we're not good enough for you anymore?

Will: Let me get that. It's a nice party for a good cause. I'm here, Casey’s here, your mom's here. And how often are you in town?

Adam: Not very often, but --

Casey: And there are a lot of beautiful women here.

Will: Does Maddie know you're checking them out right now?

Casey: I'm exclusive, not blind.

Will: Give me this. Look, I know you're still messed up about Dad. I am, too. But it taught me you gotta love the people you love while they're here.

Casey: Yeah, so, come to the party, Punk.

Will: Yeah!

Casey: Just come.

Adam: Okay, Dork.

Emily: Everything okay?

Dusty: Yeah. Johnny's safe upstairs. Craig obviously has a plan to grab him, but I'm watching, Jack's watching, so it's not going to happen.

Emily: Well, if you say so.

Dusty: I'm gonna find out what Barbara and Lucinda know.

Emily: Okay. I'm gonna call the airport and try to get a hold of Craig’s flight plan. Go, so he doesn't see us together again!

Craig: Oh, Tom, how much if I keep this short?

Tom: Uh, $200!

Craig: Sold! Ladies and gentlemen, a special treat for your entertainment. A man with no peer in the powers of prestidigitation. Magnifico the Magician!

[Applause]

[Crowd oohs]

Magician: For you, my lovely.

Lisa: Thank you.

Magician: And for you, dear damsel.

Margo: Oh, thank you.

[Applause]

Paul: Back off.

Magician: I was going to give this to your lady. But if you'd rather --

[Laughter]

Simon: I want to talk to you.

Lucinda: My Lord, Jane needs another drink. Can you oblige?

Mike: Of course.

Lucinda: Thank you.

[Lucy laughs]

Dusty: Lucy, I gotta talk to you.

Dr. Connor: I'll freshen our drinks.

Dusty: Did you know your father's planning on leaving tonight?

Lucy: No. No, where's he going?

Dusty: I don't know.

Lucy: Well, you don't think he's trying to take Johnny?

Dusty: Let me know if you hear anything, okay?

Lucy: Of course.

Magician: This evening, I began by making gifts appear out of thin air, before your very eyes. But for my next feat, I will attempt something far more complex, and dangerous. I will make someone vanish. However, I have no assistant. So I will need a volunteer.

Paul: Don't even think about it.

Craig: I will.

Adam: Sorry, I had to take that call. Family.

Jade: Family's good.

Adam: So, Mystery Jade, you have a family?

Jade: Um, yeah -- I spent a lot of time away from them. Maybe that's why they mean so much to me now. What, did I say something wrong?

Adam: This may be way out of line, but I'm going to ask you something.

Jade: No, I won't go home with you.

Adam: Okay, we'll save that for another time. But will you go to a party with me?

Jade: When?

Adam: Tonight.

Maddie: I kind of wanted to see the magician make Craig Montgomery disappear.

Will: What's the point? The guy always come back.

Gwen: So why did you drag us out here?

Casey: We just talked to Adam.

Will: And I'm pretty sure we convinced him to come back here tonight.

Gwen: That's cool. So?

Casey: So? It'd be the perfect chance for him to hear you sing.

Simon: I saw you talking to Vienna, and now she's gone. What did you say to her?

Katie: I told her the truth, that you're with Carly now.

Carly: What are you doing?

Vienna: Having a private conversation.

Carly: I don't even know you. What could we possibly have to talk about?

Vienna: You.

Carly: So the prince spoke to me, big deal.

Vienna: I'm not talking about the prince. Who cares about the prince? What is going on between you and my Simon?

Magician: Mr. Montgomery, if you'll step into the box, please. I promise this will be painless.

Craig: Thanks.

[Laughter]

Magician: But just in case, any last words?

Craig: Yeah, that guy over there owes the benefit fund $300. Make sure someone collects.

Tom: I'm good for it!

[Laughter]

Magician: All right. Say good-bye to Mr. Montgomery, everyone.

All shouting: Good-bye!

Emily: That's him. That's the guy.

Dusty: What are you talking about?

Emily: The guy Craig was talking to when he said he wanted to make someone disappear. That's him.

[Crowd oohs]

[Cheers and applause]

Next week on "As the World Turns" --

Vienna: You touch that necklace, and I'll cut your heart out.

Casey: What's going on?

Maddie: Tell them. Or I will.

Dusty: Okay, magic boy. Joke's over, where is he?

Meg: I'm not having this conversation.

Craig: Well, then let's stop talking.

Meg: Hey!
