Jack: Artie, you're sure Carly didn't come by with the deposit?

Bartender: I'm sure.

Jack: No, she knew that the party was tonight, though, buddy. I gave her the money.

Bartender: Maybe she went shopping instead?

Jack: I know she was going shopping, but she wouldn't -- she wouldn't flake on something like this. Maybe she gave it to somebody else. Another bartender, maybe?

Bartender: I'm the only who's been here all afternoon. Now look, the place is still available, if you want to book it.

Jack: Yeah. Sounds good, yes. Where the hell are you, Carly?

Iris: You're gonna make my day?

Henry: Yes, ma'am, you are the winner of the consumers' warehouse sweepstakes.

Iris: I didn't enter any contest.

Henry: You didn't have to. There's no entry required. Let's get this party started!

Iris: Wait.

Henry: There's no need to wait! The check is right here.

Iris: The check?

Henry: Yeah.

Iris: I still don't understand how I'm in this contest.

Henry: Two words, Ms. Dubrowski -- bulk buying.

Iris: What?

Henry: Yeah, we're all about bulk buying at consumers' warehouse. You're automatically entered every time you shop.

Iris: Yeah, but I don't buy in bulk.

Henry: Of course you do, that's the American way.

Iris: No, I donít.

Henry: You only buy one roll of paper towels? You never get the 12-pack? What about toilet paper? Cocktail onions? Instant noods?

[Can rustling]

Iris: Somebody's out there.

Henry: You know, Ms. Dubrowski, hold on just a second. We've only got a little bit of time to take care of this paperwork.

Iris: Wait, I told you. Somebody is out here. Now, you need to leave now!

Will: What do you mean, you know what I did?

Celia: You pretended to be the father of Gwen's baby when it was really Casey.

Will: Who told you that?

Celia: You did.

Will: What?

Celia: I heard you at the hospital with Casey.

Will: I'm sorry.

Celia: Don't be.

Will: So did you and Casey talk?

Celia: Oh, yeah.

Will: Did he admit to it?

Celia: Finally. Will, I don't wanna talk about Casey.

Will: Okay.

Celia: I need to know why.

Will: Why what?

Celia: Why you did it. Why did you go to so much trouble? You let Casey off the hook and took on all this stuff that wasn't yours to handle. Why?

Will: Celia, you know why.

Rosanna: Hello, Gwen.

Gwen: Hi.

Rosanna: I'm sorry to drop by unannounced. The adoption papers didn't have your phone number on them, just your address.

Gwen: Come in.

Rosanna: Thank you. How are you feeling?

Gwen: Different. I don't know, before, I'd -- it was, like, full. Now it's --

Rosanna: Empty?

Gwen: Whatever.

Rosanna: I saw the baby.

Gwen: Yeah, I saw you watching him.

Rosanna: He's a beautiful little boy. A real fighter.

Gwen: Good.

Rosanna: Did you see him?

Gwen: The doctor said I could. Or couldnít. I don't know, I figured it'd make it way too real.

Rosanna: Gwen, if you think that just looking at this little boy is gonna make you change your mind, then you're not ready to let him go. My husband and I need you to be absolutely sure about this. So, please --

Gwen: Hey. I'll be sure.

Rosanna: You have doubts?

Gwen: Not about you. But your husband is a different story.

Jennifer: That is not my baby.

Craig: Jennifer.

Jennifer: I know it.

Craig: You don't know what you're saying.

Jennifer: No, it isnít. It isn't my baby.

Craig: I know it's hard to accept.

Jennifer: No, that is not my baby!

Craig: Jennifer, don't do this.

Rosanna: My husband is very excited about this baby.

Gwen: That's what he said, not how he looked.

Rosanna: Well, that's just Craig. He holds back. That's what he's like when he cares about something. And he does care about this baby just as much as I do.

Gwen: Don't worry. You'll get the baby, okay?

Rosanna: Look, if you have any doubts, I need to know them now.

Gwen: Look, even if your husband isn't that into it, the baby has you, and you'll be great. That's more than most kids have. We're on.

Rosanna: Thank you. Can I get you something to eat? You look a little pale.

Gwen: I ate something a little while ago. I'm good.

Rosanna: Are you sure? Maybe I can get you something for later?

Gwen: I can take care of that.

Rosanna: Okay. Oh, I almost forgot. I didn't have your bank account information so, this is for you. Its cash --

Gwen: This is way too much.

Rosanna: No, that's not possible. What you've given me, no amount of money could possibly express. So, please let me make some part of your life a little easier.

Gwen: Just give the kid a good home. That's all I want.

Rosanna: If there's ever anything that you need --

Gwen: Thanks, but when it's settled, I don't think we should have contact. It's better for the kid, right? I think that his life with you should be it.

Rosanna: Right. I understand. Thank you so much.

[Cell phone rings]

Gwen: Go ahead.

Rosanna: Sorry.

Gwen: No.

Rosanna: Hello, Rosanna Cabot.

Margo: Hi, Rosanna, it's Margo. Listen, I don't really know when you're flying in, but I think you should know what you're coming home to.

Rosanna: Well, no, I'm already back.

Margo: You gotta get over to the hospital right away. Jennifer's baby died.

Rosanna: Oh, no. Does Craig know?

Margo: Yeah, he does. He's on his way to the hospital now. And I don't know what he's gonna do when he gets there.

Katie: Mike, I'm sorry to bother you, but it's Craig.

Mike: What about him?

Katie: I told him about the baby, and he got it in his head that he needed to be here. I'm so sorry, I tried.

Mike: If he comes anywhere near Jen, I'll kill him.

Katie: I know.

Jennifer: That is not my baby! No, no. That's not my baby.

Craig: All right, hey.

Paul: Mike, Mike, no, no.

Hal: You have no business here.

Craig: She was in there, Hal. Ranting, upset.

Mike: So you thought you'd help out?

Paul: There's a restraining order against you.

Jennifer: Stop, stop! Leave him alone! This is wrong!

Hal: We will, honey.

Barbara: It's okay. It's okay.

Paul: Craig, you need to leave, right now.

Hal: Hey, if you don't back off, I'm gonna throw your miserable carcass in jail.

Craig: All right, all right, all right.

Hal: Are we clear?

Craig: All right, all right.

Barbara: Come on, come on.

Jennifer: No, didn't anybody hear what I said?

Barbara: We all heard you, Jen. We --

Jennifer: This is not my baby!

Dusty: What do you mean, Jen? What do you mean?

Jennifer: That baby. Dusty, didn't you look at him?

Dusty: Yes.

Jennifer: Didn't you see it?

Dusty: Did I see what?

Jennifer: That's not my baby.

Dusty: Why are you saying that, Jen? Why are you saying this?

Jennifer: Because it can't be! You -- you delivered him. You -- you held him. That baby in there -- that's not him. That's not, I know it. There's been a mistake.

Dusty: You need to rest. Do you hear me? You gotta rest now.

Jennifer: But then you'll straighten it out, right?

Dusty: I will.

Celia: So you didn't do it for Gwen?

Will: So, how'd you leave it with Casey?

Celia: I left it.

Will: As in?

Celia: We're broken up. What else? I couldn't stay with him.

Will: You're sure?

Celia: Of course I am.

Will: You know, Casey never knew about the baby until it was born.

Celia: Yeah, right.

Will: Gwen never told, I never told.

Celia: He knew he slept with her. Baby or no baby. He should have told me that.

Will: He just didn't wanna lose you.

Celia: So he lied about who he was? What he'd done? Do you remember how mean he was to Gwen?

Will: Yeah.

Celia: Who does that?

Will: A guy who's scared and wants it all to go away.

Celia: Don't defend him.

Will: I'm not. I just get it. He cares about you a lot. And when you care about someone, you want them to see your best. Not the ugly parts.

Celia: Most people don't have ugly parts like that.

Will: But everybody keeps things to themselves. You never kept a secret from Casey? Me, too.

Celia: I was an idiot.

Will: How, about what?

Celia: Me and my commitment rings. Casey played me. I'm such a loser.

Will: No, you're not.

Celia: How could I have believed him?

[Cell phone rings]

Henry: Oh, that's mine. I must've dropped it.

Iris: Aren't you going to answer it?

Henry: Yeah, yeah. Consumers' warehouse sweepstakes, mobile. Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, she's right here. Iris Dubrowski. Yeah, yeah. I think she's exactly what you're looking for. Yeah, very photogenic. What, are you kidding me? Listen, she has got two cases of canned tuna in the kitchen, she's got a 24-pack of saltines, and get this al, get this -- she's got ten quarts of sweet gherkins, still shrink-wrapped. How about that for some lunch, huh? [Henry laughs] Yeah, yeah, we just gotta wrap up some paperwork. No problem. Okay. All right. Buh-bye. That was the home office, now. I covered for you.

Iris: Yeah, what was that about?

Henry: Listen, listen, if they found out that you don't bulk buy, they're gonna take that six-figure check right out from underneath you.

Iris: Six figures?

Henry: That's what I said. So sweetheart, let's just take care of this paperwork. We're gonna make you rich, huh?

Iris: Don't you want a picture, me with these balloons?

Henry: I would love one, but, you know, after the paperwork, okay? Just take a second. There you go. Just hold on to those. All right, okay. How long have you lived in Oakdale?

Iris: 35 years.

Henry: Okay, 35. At your current residence?

Iris: Why do you need to know about my house?

Henry: I just -- we just need to establish, you know, legal residency, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know what, it's not even that important. Let's just move on down here. Employment, employment. You're not gonna need to work once you have all this money, believe me.

Iris: It's that much?

Henry: Yeah. Let's just get down to the legal stuff. Any outstanding liens, pending lawsuits, any creditor who could attempt to extend their claim to consumers' warehouse Inc. Or any of our subsidiaries?

Iris: No.

Henry: Okay, any outstanding warrants?

Iris: No.

Henry: Okay, any felony convictions?

Iris: What?

Henry: Yeah, just -- I'm sure with you it's just a -- I don't know, it's not that important, but I do have to know. Have you ever been convicted of a crime? Itís important, but I do have to know. Have you ever been convicted of a crime?

Jennifer: You have to straighten this out.

Dusty: I will.

Jennifer: And I wanna see Craig.

Hal: I'll go find Dr. Maddux. You need to rest, honey.

Dusty: Yes, you do need to rest.

Hal: Let's go.

Barbara: Honey, we'll be right back.

Jennifer: I wanna see Craig.

Dusty: What?

Jennifer: He knows. I wanna see him.

Paul: He knows what? I think it's a really terrible idea.

Mike: Where do you think you're going?

Craig: She just said she wanted to see me.

Mike: She's beside herself with grief. She doesn't know what she wants.

Craig: You're speaking for her all the time now?

Paul: You can't come in.

Jennifer: No, let him in. He's the only one who knows.

Paul: Knows what?

Jennifer: You saw. Didn't you? You saw the baby.

Craig: I did.

Jennifer: Then you know. Then you know that that's not our baby. You saw it, didn't you? That couldn't be our baby.

[Knock on door]

Casey: Celia knows about you and me.

Gwen: Yeah?

Casey: Yeah. She broke up with me. You have to help me get her back.

Celia: Sorry about that.

Will: Don't be. I'm glad you'll even speak to me.

Celia: Why wouldn't I?

Will: Because I lied to you too.

Celia: What?

Will: I told you I was the father. That was a lie.

Celia: You were protecting Gwen. Protecting Casey who didn't deserve it.

Will: Okay, Casey did a bad thing, but --

Celia: No, don't defend him. That's how he thinks, too. He thinks of himself first. You're not like that. You took care of other people first.

Will: Not just other people. I did it for me, too.

Celia: What did you get out of it, Will?

Jack: Carly, it's me again. I need you to call me.

Jessica: Jack, you're here.

Jack: Howdy, Jess.

Jessica: I was gonna leave this with the bartender, but -- I have an arraignment tonight.

Jack: Oh, sorry you can't make it. Thank you.

Jessica: Jack, you all right? What's going on?

Jack: Carly's not here. I can't reach her on her phone.

Jessica: Is there reason for concern?

Jack: I don't know yet.

Jessica: Is she still trying to find out about Iris and the child?

Jack: I don't think so.

Jessica: But you're not sure?

Jack: I backed off her for now. And she promised that she'd leave it alone, at least for tonight.

Iris: I didn't catch your name, son.

Henry: Hank. Hank Snickerman.

Iris: You got any I.D., Hank?

Henry: Yeah. I am so sorry, I thought I showed that to you when I came in. Yeah, it's just right there. I really apologize. Now here I am, coming in, what nerve, bringing in some kind of rap sheet. I haven't even showed you my I.D.

Iris: No offense intended.

Henry: You know, there's none taken. There really isnít. Honey, you're gonna have to have a bit of savvy to take care of all this kind of money. You know, I'm glad to see you got it on the ball. I really am. Let's finish up with this paperwork, and then we'll get set up for our photo shoot. What do you say about that, huh?

Iris: Yay!

Henry: Aren't you excited? All right, where were we? Oh, yeah. Any trouble with the law?

Iris: When you say "trouble", you mean, like, parking tickets?

Henry: No, no, no. More like felony. You know, even a small one, we have to make adjustments. We don't have to -- not gonna take away the prize, anything like that, don't worry. But we have to tailor the pr a little bit, so --

Iris: Uh-huh, I see.

Henry: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Ever pass a bad check?

Iris: No.

Henry: Illegal gambling?

Iris: No.

Henry: Embezzlement?

Iris: No.

Henry: Pandering?

Iris: That's a crime?

Henry: Yeah, you know, that shocked me too. Because in show business and marketing, we just call that a good day's work.

Iris: No pandering. How many more of these do you got?

Carly: None.

Iris: What are you -- how did you even --?

Carly: You told my husband that you were arrested for embezzling. You said that you covered for my father. You said that was the deep, dark secret that's been kept from me for all these years.

Iris: I want you outta here.

Carly: Not until you tell me the truth.

Iris: Don't you call me a liar.

Carly: That's exactly what you are. Either you lied before or you lied just now. Which is it?

Announcer: Coming up on "As the World Turns" --

Carly: I'd love to have my husband here. He didn't buy that embezzlement story any more than I did.

Iris: He's the one who told me to come up with it in the first place.

Rosanna: Your own son just died and you haven't shed a tear. Why?

Henry: Whoa.

Iris: Nice scam.

Henry: Technically, I didn't take anything from you, so it's not a scam.

Iris: You have no idea what you just took. Now I want you both outta here.

Carly: Too bad.

Iris: You think you're too old to get whipped, girly?

Henry: Wait, whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa. There's not a mud ring around here, ladies. So let's just settle down here, okay?

Iris: Take a walk, hank. And you can go, too.

Carly: Or what. You'll call the cops?

Henry: Oh, hey, not the "c" word.

Carly: I'd like to have the cops here, myself.

Henry: What do you mean, you'd like to have the cops here? We're taking credentials, taking names. Let's just go, Carly.

Carly: No, not until she tells me the truth.

Iris: You know what, I don't have anything to tell you.

Henry: Yeah, you know what, we've got everything we want. Let's just go on to plan "B."

Iris: You know what, I'm just going to call the cops.

Carly: Fine. You can go, Henry.

Henry: I don't think I should leave you here alone.

Carly: No, I will be fine. And don't worry about the police, I'll cover it for you.

Iris: I'm dialing.

Henry: On my way!

Carly: You like to bluff, Iris? Go ahead, call the police. Please. I'd love to have my husband here. He'll get the truth out of you.

Iris: You think?

Carly: Oh, he didn't buy that embezzlement story any more than I did.

Iris: No? That's funny. Because he's the one who told me to come up with it in the first place.

Jessica: Well, that was a pretty good story, the embezzlement.

Jack: I thought so. Carly called me an amateur chump for believing it.

Jessica: Well, it'll be hard keeping the truth from her.

Jack: Which is why I got to get her off this whole thing, jess.

Jessica: If she finds out --

Jack: No, don't even think that right now. I can't think about it.

Jessica: Well, you have to think about it. And that leads me to ask, how is Carly?

Jack: How is she? What, do you mean, is she getting enough sleep, enough exercise? That's got nothing to do with how she'd deal with this.

Jessica: Come on, Jack, you know what I mean. How is she? Is she emotionally fragile?

Jack: Is she emotional? I'm more emotional than she is, at this point. She's frustrated. And fragile? We're talking about Carly here. But this -- this would ruin anybody.

Jessica: Yeah, I know, I know.

Jack: Yeah, so I just got to keep dodging until she gives up, I guess. I hate this.

Jessica: But you know the alternative. If Carly finds out the truth, she may never recover.

Jennifer: You can tell the difference, can't you? That wasn't our baby.

Craig: Jennifer, I am so sorry.

Jennifer: No.

Craig: There -- there is no pain that cuts deeper than losing a child.

Jennifer: No, I didn't lose --

Craig: No, don't do this to yourself, okay? It's only gonna make things worse.

Jennifer: Then you're sure? That was our baby?

Craig: Our child is gone, Jennifer. All right?

Paul: I'm gonna go see what's keeping the doctor.

Dusty: I'll keep an eye on her.

Rosanna: Paul, I'm so sorry about Jennifer's baby.

Paul: How's your baby doing?

Rosanna: He's holding his own. He looks okay.

Paul: That's great. Glad to hear it.

Rosanna: If there's anything I can do to help?

Paul: You know, there is. Maybe you could get your husband out of here.

Rosanna: Is everything okay?

Craig: The baby's dead. That's never okay. Come on, let's go home.

Gwen: You want me to help you get your girlfriend back?

Casey: She's mad 'cause I didn't own up to the baby. But I didn't even know, and that's your fault.

Gwen: You did not say that!

Casey: I love her, Gwen! It's not gonna help anybody if we break up!

Gwen: Wow! You and your girlfriend have a spat, and you want me to fix it so you can hang out at the country club again? I love the problems in your life.

Casey: Gwen, if you hadn't kept it --

Gwen: No, don't you say one more word! This is about you, Casey, about what you did! You figure it out with Celia!

Casey: You know what? Fine, whatever, but you're her friend, so if she comes to you --

Gwen: I'll say stay as far away from you as she can get.

Casey: This isn't fair!

Gwen: Fair? This isn't fair! Get the hell out of here! Go!

Will: We should get going.

Celia: Why?

Will: It's getting dark out. It's late.

Celia: Why don't you want to tell me, Will? Okay, forget it.

Will: No.

Celia: No, I'm sorry. It's your personal business.

Will: No, it isnít.

Celia: But you don't want to tell me.

Will: It's not that I don't want to tell you.

Celia: It's not fair for me to push. If it's between you and Gwen, I understand.

Will: No, it isn't about me and Gwen. Celia, I did it for you.

Barbara: Does Mike have to be here?

Paul: Jennifer wants him here.

Barbara: Oh, she wanted Craig here, too. That didn't mean it was right.

Paul: Look, if you beat up Mike, go ahead, but keep it down to a dull roar. It's been a very ugly day.

Dusty: Where's Hal?

Barbara: He had an emergency. He'll be back soon.

Dusty: How is she?

Dr. Maddux: Jennifer's resting, but it took a sedative to make it happen.

Dusty: She wasn't still talking about how it wasn't her baby?

Dr. Maddux: Not a word to me.

Paul: I saw her face when Craig said that the baby was gone. I think it finally sunk in.

Dr. Maddux: Denial is normal. It's one of the stages of grief. Don't be surprised if this comes up again in some other way.

Barbara: I know what to expect. I have been through this myself, although I didn't have a lying husband --

Paul: You know what, mom, why don't you consult with dr. Maddux about how to take care of Jen once we get her home? Having been through this, I think you're the person best equipped to handle that. What do you think, doc?

Dr. Maddux: Ms. Ryan, why don't we go back to my office and we'll work out a care plan.

Barbara: Of course.

Dusty: You handle your mother very well.

Paul: Yeah, I know. Let's go check on Jen.

Dusty: She looks wrecked.

Paul: Yeah. Well, wouldn't you?

Dusty: Hey. She's sleeping.

Mike: Yeah?

Dusty: I mean they gave her something to sleep. It's been a rough day, you know?

Mike: I got that.

Dusty: Well, there's no point in sticking around. I mean, there's nothing that you can do.

Mike: She might wake up.

Dusty: Hopefully not.

Mike: She asked for me before. And I wanna be here if she needs me. So I'll be outside. You'll call me?

Dusty: If she asks for you.

Mike: I'm glad you were there for her, Dusty. Thank you.

Paul: You know, you don't need to stay.

Dusty: I know.

Katie: Are you okay?

Craig: I've narrowed down my list of names. Once you get yours together, then we can name him after you -- Rosanner.

Rosanna: Why is it suddenly all about our baby?

Craig: Are you surprised?

Rosanna: No. That's not the word.

Craig: Well, Rosanna --

Rosanna: Look, your own son just died. Your own flesh and blood. And you haven't shed a tear. Why?

Carly: You're blowing smoke, accusing Jack. You're just trying to throw me off.

Iris: You think, but you're not sure. That's got you real worried. I know that look.

Carly: You know me that well?

Iris: I've seen it on a lot of women, doubting their man. It happens.

Carly: Well, I don't doubt Jack. Even if he made up a story.

Iris: If?

Carly: Let's say he did. Why?

Iris: You ask him.

Carly: You are the one who knows the truth, Iris. What happened with my father? And your child? I know there was a child.

Iris: That's part of the story. It's just made up.

Carly: No, I remember that.

Iris: You remember?

Carly: In my dreams. There was a child. You had a child, didn't you?

Iris: Leave me alone. For once in your life, you just leave me alone.

Carly: What?

Iris: Nothing. I got nothing to say to you.

Carly: Tell me, what do you mean?

Iris: Would you just -- look, I'm just trying to live my life, all right? I'm minding my own business. Would you just leave me in peace!

Carly: I'd love to. And I would love some peace, too. But I don't have it and I won't have it -- not until I know.

Iris: You've been warned, little girl. You don't want the truth.

Carly: You're wrong. I do want it. I do want the truth. Please. I need to know.

Margo: Whoa! Oh, man. Don't sneak up on a cop like that.

Casey: Sorry, Mom.

Margo: What's the matter?

Casey: Celia dumped me.

Margo: Oh, why would she dump you?

Casey: She got mad at me about some stuff that happened from, like, before I even met her.

Margo: What stuff?

Casey: Stupid stuff that I apologized for, like, a hundred times. But she didn't even care.

Margo: Oh, baby. Come on, you just hang in there. She's mad now, but don't worry, she'll get over it. Give her some time.

Celia: You claimed to be the father of Gwen's baby for me?

Will: Because you loved him. I saw how you looked at him, like he was the whole world.

Celia: But I didn't know the truth.

Will: I know, exactly. And if you did, it would've broken your heart. And I could picture your face if you had heard, and I couldnít. Celia, you're still like the only person I know that's had it really rough, but can wake up in the morning and look at the world and expect a beautiful day. And you should. And I would never want to take that from you. Celia, you're a great person.

Celia: That's way more than what you do for a friend.

Will: Well, I care about you a lot. But you knew that. Oh. Surprise. I'm sorry.

Celia: Will, wait! At the prom, when we danced, I knew.

Will: I figured you had to notice.

Celia: It wasn't just you. I felt it too. I couldn't breathe and I wanted to say something, but --

Will: But you couldnít. Then.

Katie: I'll have my cell phone on if you need me, okay?

Mike: Oh, you're leaving?

Katie: I thought you wanted me to.

Mike: No, I don't know what I'm doing, but --

Katie: I just really don't want to be in the way, okay?

Mike: You're not. No more than I am.

Katie: Do you wanna go?

Mike: No.

Katie: No, of course not.

Mike: I told them if Jen asks for me --

Katie: Then you'll be here. Of course.

Mike: I want to be.

Katie: I understand.

Mike: You're okay with that?

Katie: Of course.

Mike: But?

Katie: No buts. I just can't believe that this is where we are. I'm sorry.

Mike: About us?

Katie: No. No. Are you?

Mike: I love you. It's just -- it's the timing, you know, everything else --

Katie: Yeah.

Mike: I gotta go back up.

Katie: Yeah, yeah, you do. It's where you belong right now.

Nurse Jacobs: Excuse me, I need a family member to sign some forms?

Paul: Yeah, I'll do it.

Dusty: Hey. Go back to sleep.

Jennifer: I was asleep?

Dusty: Yeah.

Jennifer: Oh, I had a terrible dream. Tell me it was a dream.

Dusty: It was real, sweetheart. You still with me?

Jennifer: I canít.

Dusty: You can't do anything right now. But you don't have to.

Jennifer: I won't make it.

Dusty: Of course you will. You remember that woman who came back from Europe all full of herself? Started a company from nothing? That woman's gonna make it.

Jennifer: She's gone.

Dusty: She's not gone. She's just gotta regroup. Close your eyes. I'll be right here. Close your eyes.

Craig: Do you wanna watch me cry?

Rosanna: No, I just can't believe it. No tears. No recriminations.

Craig: Oh, Rosanna, I have plenty.

Rosanna: But, it's not you. You didn't even get angry at Jennifer. You were so kind to her.

Craig: Why get angry at her? Why? Look, it's done.

Rosanna: So you've just forgiven everything, and moved on?

Craig: Yes. Yes, I am grateful that we have a child to love. That makes it easier to bear the loss. Does that make me rotten?

Rosanna: Oh, you should know better than to ever ask me that question.

Craig: We're very lucky.

Rosanna: I know, we are.

Craig: I want to see the nursery.

Bartender: What, you still can't reach your wife?

Jack: No. I was just contacting all of our guests, and canceling for tonight.

Bartender: Are you sure? Look, we could still make the party happen.

Jack: No, it's better this way. Just me and Carly.

Bartender: She's probably out buying a new dress right now.

Jack: Yeah, she is. That's what she said. She likes to surprise me.

Iris: Lock the door on your way out.

Carly: Please, listen to me, Iris. This is driving me crazy. At first it was just in my dreams, but now it comes when I'm awake.

Iris: That isn't my problem.

Carly: And I hear you, I hear your voice calling out -- "my beautiful boy. What have you done to my beautiful boy?" I heard it. I did, didn't I? I was there, wasn't I? Iris, what did he do to your son?

Iris: What?

Carly: My father. I know that he didn't embezzle money. He hurt your son, didn't he.

Iris: Oh, man.

Carly: No, it's all right. It's almost over. If you just -- if you just say it and --

Iris: Over?

Carly: Once it's out there --

Iris: It wasn't Ray who hurt my son. It was you.

Announcer: On the next "As the World Turns" --

Jack: She hired you to find Iris Dubrowski, right?

Iris: You never forget a thing like that, what you did to my boy.

Rosanna: Craig. Craig, wait, you don't understand.

Craig: No, no, no. I get the picture. She shouldn't be anywhere near my son.

Rosanna: Your son?
