Katie: That's her.

Simon: All right, great. So, I'll wait here. And you go talk to her.

Katie: I just feel bad, Simon. I was kind of a flake. I mean, I always left here to go somewhere, or do something. And they always let me have my job back. And now I'm just gonna quit? Maybe we should do this another time.

Simon: No, no, no, no. Listen. Listen. I know you're really nervous about this move. But, trust me; it's the best thing for both of us.

Katie: Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself.

Simon: You really liked this job, huh?

Katie: Well, I only took it because I needed to pay the bills. But -- yeah, after a while, I did kind of like it. I felt useful, at least, you know, like I was helping people.

Simon: Okay, listen. Don't tell anyone. But there are hospitals in Australia, okay?

Katie: No! You're kidding!

Simon: No, I'm not.

Katie: Wish me luck.

Simon: I'll do better than that.

Katie: Oh, it's a good thing I'm quitting, because that could've just gotten me fired.

[Simon thinking back]

Simon: You sent her to the looney bin. She's never going to forget that.

Pilar: Yeah, but if you talk to mike --

Simon: What? Talk to Michael -- and say what?

Pilar: That Katie’s too embarrassed to admit she made a big mistake blaming him --

Simon: Hey, listen man -- you know Mike Kasnoff? The construction guy?

Orderly: Seen him around.

Simon: Yeah, you know where he might be now?

Orderly: Sorry.

Simon: All right, thanks.

Katie: I know I was supposed to start working again tomorrow. Um -- but there's been a change of plans. My husband and I are leaving Oakdale for good.

Hal: Okay, I want a chopper in the air, dogs on the ground. Call CSI; tell them to get over here right away. You okay, Craig?

Craig: Hal, I came here expecting to find my kidnapped daughter and all we have is a towel with blood on it. No, I'm not "okay."

Hal: Listen, it's best if we don't jump to conclusions right now.

Alan: You're sure that blood was fresh, Lieutenant?

Hal: Yeah, I'm sure. But it could've been anybody’s.

Craig: Including Lucy’s.

Lucy: Well, if you didn't tell those guys where I was, how did they find me?

Dusty: Why would I tell those guys, if I came back here to get you outta here?

Lucy: I don't know. Maybe you -- I don't know why!

Dusty: You don't know? I'm not convincing you! Don't give me that. Don't give me that look. I'm not very happy to be here with you, either. You know? But we're in this. And now I gotta keep you with me until I figure what's going on.

Lucy: What if I don't want to get in the car with you?

Dusty: Then that's up to you. Whatever. You gotta give me an answer. You gotta give me an answer. I gotta get outta here!

Jordan: James doesn't have any kind of hold on me, Barbara. I'm using him for information.

Barbara: You're using James? Do you have any idea how naive that is?

Jordan: It's not like I asked him to send me this box of cigars. If it makes you feel any better, I'll send it right back.

Barbara: The only thing that would make me feel better is if you give me your solemn word that you will never go near him again.

Jordan: I can't do that. Not right now.

Barbara: Do you enjoy putting your life in danger?

Jennifer: He's doing it for his son. Stenbeck promised that he would help him find Cabot.

Barbara: I had no idea that Cabot was missing.

Jordan: Rosanna took him and left town. No one has any idea where she is.

Barbara: Good, good. Good for her. At least someone around here has the sense to get away from James instead of diving into his next trap.

Jennifer: Jordan is Cabot’s father. Rosanna has no right to keep them apart.

Barbara: I'm just glad to hear that Rosanna has enough maternal instinct to want to protect that baby. And that means she'll keep grandpapa James away from him for good.

Jordan: Protecting Cabot is my job, too. And I'm not going to have Rosanna deciding whether I can do that or not, Barbara.

Barbara: Having Cabot in your life means having James Stenbeck in your life. And there's nothing that he loves more than fresh meat. He will get his hooks into that baby so fast, it'll make your head spin. So instead of being angry with Rosanna, I suggest you thank her.

James: When the guard told me my son was here to see me, I was hoping it was going to be Jordan.

Paul: So sorry to disappoint you.

James: That's all right. I'm used to it. You're here to continue our aborted conversation?

Paul: It wasn't a conversation. You had me thrown out of your prison.

James: Well, it was a special moment for Jordan and me. Our first time together as father and son.

Paul: From what I saw, he wasn't really enjoying himself.

James: A little -- period of adjustment. He will soon realize the benefits of having me in his life.

Paul: He might want to talk to me about that first.

James: Ahh, you're jealous. How cute.

Paul: Believe me, I already have more of your attention than I could ever want.

James: Yes, and yet, you couldn't stay away.

Paul: I'm here for one reason. To find out what treachery you and Jordan are cooking up.

James: Treachery? A father and son are bonding for the first time after a lifetime of being apart. There are no hidden motives here. Only good things. You know, joy, devotion --

Paul: You waited a long time to spring Jordan on us. You're using him, old man, and I want to know how.

Announcer: "As the world turns" is sponsored by Aussie.

Nurse: We'll miss you. Where are you and your husband going?

Katie: Oh -- we don't really have an itinerary yet. Listen, I'm sorry, will you excuse me? I'm gonna go get everything from my locker. Thanks.

[Phone ringing]

Simon: Hello?

Pilar: It's Pilar. Have you spoken to Mike?

Simon: Hey, listen, I'm working on it, okay?

Pilar: Where are you?

Simon: At the hospital.

Pilar: Can you talk to him somewhere else? That's not a good place for me.

Simon: Listen, what difference does it make?

Pilar: I need somewhere where I can "accidentally" run into Mike. Right after you tell him that Katie has changed her mind about me.

Simon: Listen, Mike and I are hardly drinking buddies. Okay? You're gonna have to figure something else out.

Pilar: That's your problem, Simon. I'll be waiting.

James: What does any man want from his son? Except respect and admiration --

Paul: Oh, cut it out. You don't even know what those words mean.

James: No, but Jordan will. And rather than using him, as you suggest, I'm going to help him.

Paul: To do what?

James: Get his son back.

Paul: Cabot belongs with Rosanna. Rosanna's the only one who can keep him safe from you.

James: Am I to understand that you're taking the side of that woman against that of your own family?

Paul: You're not my family.

James: Cabot is your family. He's your nephew, and you're allowing a stranger to keep him prisoner?

Paul: You think I know where Rosanna has taken Cabot, don't you?

James: Oh, no, she'd never trust you with that information. She's much too smart.

Paul: That's a nice try. You can't trick me into telling you what I don't know.

James: If you did know, would you tell me?

Paul: Not if you held a knife to my throat.

James: Don't tempt me. Even from in here, I could -- your problem, Paul, you've never had a sense of family loyalty.

Paul: My loyalty is to anyone who's trying to get away from you. For the record, I curse the fact that I am in any way related to you.

James: Yes, well, fortunately, Jordan doesn’t. And as soon as I reunite him with Cabot, you'll see.

Paul: So that's it, huh? You think you'll own Jordan once you get Cabot away from Rosanna?

James: No, you see. Because unlike you, who's thinking is dominated by women, Jordan makes up his own mind. Of course, I do expect him to appreciate what I've done for him. He wouldn't be my son if he didn’t.

Paul: I won't let you use that baby as a weapon.

James: Hmm. Because it's bad for Cabot? Or it'll upset Rosanna?

Paul: What are you trying to say, Dad?

James: You don't give a damn about Cabot or Jordan. You just want to score points with your brother's wife -- the voluptuous and oh-so-tight-skirted Rosanna.

Paul: You won't get away with it. If I have to sleep with one eye open for the rest of my life, I will keep Cabot away from you.

James: Oh, but you'll drift off sometime to never-never land. And I'm at my best under the cover of darkness.

Paul: Not this time. I've had my fill of you hurting people that are important to me. It stops now. Your reign of terror is over.

James: A little spirit looks good on you, Paul. Too bad it's been so late in coming. There. Now this is good. A little resistance -- increases focus.

Barbara: I know you want to shower your baby with gifts, show him the best that life has to offer. But I promise you, you will be thwarted at every turn. The harder you try, the worse it will get for you and for Cabot. So if you really want to prove how much you love this baby, you forget about him.

Jennifer: You're a mother of three. I don't understand how you can say that.

Barbara: I'm also a woman who's lived the life with James Stenbeck. And I don't want anyone else to suffer the way I have.

Jordan: I'll check in with you later, okay, Jen?

Jennifer: No, no.

Jordan: No, I don't want to listen to any more of this.

Barbara: Let him go, Jen.

Jennifer: Jordan -- please don't be upset. She was only trying to --

Jordan: I know, I know -- protect me. Protect Cabot. But according to her I have to give up my son.

Jennifer: She's afraid for you. That's all. She doesn't know any other way to keep James out of your life.

Jordan: It doesn't matter what her reasons are, Jen. I'm not abandoning my child. All my life, I wondered what my father was like. Asking myself, what were the things that were important to him? I never got any answers, and it hurt me, Jen. It made me anxious and suspicious and afraid to let people see who I really am. And I'm not gonna let my own son grow up like that, not while I still have a choice.

Jennifer: Just be careful, okay?

Jordan: I know how dangerous Stenbeck is. Which is why maybe it's better if we just stay away from each other for a little while.

Jennifer: Do you feel the distance that's between us right now? That's about all I can handle.

Jordan: If anything were to ever happen to you because of me --

Jennifer: No, it won’t. It won’t. All that matters right now is finding Cabot. I want you to concentrate on that, and don't worry about me.

Jordan: Cabot isn't the only important thing here, Jen. You matter to me, too. I love you. I want you with me all the time, every minute.

Jennifer: I love you. And we're going to get through this together.

Dusty: Don't move.

Lucy: Dusty, wait. I don't want to be here by myself.

Dusty: I'm just gonna check out this warehouse to see if it's safe to hide out. That's all.

Lucy: Couldn't you just take me back to my Grandma's --

Dusty: Honey, if we go back near Oakdale, I'm gonna get charged with kidnapping. You understand? They're gonna throw me in prison.

Lucy: How do you know those guys didn't follow us?

Dusty: I don't know. That's why I'm gonna go in there and check it out, make sure it's cool. Don't worry so much, okay? Count to 1,000 or something. I'll be back before -- before 999.

Lucy: I thought you left.

Dusty: Yeah, get out.

Lucy: Why?

Dusty: 'Cause you don't know what's good for you yet. Get out.

Hal: Craig, listen. I need to know if anybody other than Dusty has contacted you about this.

Craig: Don't you think I would've told you, Hal? He is the only one. And you better get a special detail assigned to me when we find him. Because if I get my hands around his neck --

Hal: Craig, I don't need to hear threats like that. What about Sierra? Are we sure that nobody's contacted her with a ransom demand?

Alan: I'm sure she would've told me.

Hal: Yeah, unless somebody instructed her not to.

Alan: All right, I'll call her.

Hal: All right. What about Lucinda?

Craig: If Lucinda got a ransom demand, she might just pay it without telling anybody.

Hal: Right, which is why I don't want people taking matters into their own hands. Craig, we need to work together if we're gonna catch who did this.

Craig: So call Lucinda and make her understand that. And we bring my baby back to me.

Dusty: Hold this. I think it's cool. I don't think we were followed. What's the matter?

Lucy: This place is so dingy.

Dusty: You gotta be kidding me. I'm sorry it's not a five-star hotel. Call your travel agent, would you?

Lucy: I make a statement and you bite my head off?

Dusty: I'm a little impatient. I haven't slept for 72 hours. Maybe that's got something to do with it? Can we find some, you know, light. Look at that. Things are looking up.

Lucy: What was that?

Dusty: That's mice.

Lucy: Mice?

Dusty: Take it easy, cheetah. Will you be quiet? They're more afraid of you.

Lucy: Yeah, I've heard that before.

Dusty: You've heard that before?

Lucy: Yes, you wake up in the middle of the night with a furry creature crawling all over you. Summer camp.

Dusty: You gotta be kidding me. I bet you and your little camper friends left food every where. That's why. Get down from there, would you? Let me tell you something. We're not gonna have these problems around here when we're disciplined, and we got no food. But I got candy bar. You hungry?

Lucy: No, thanks.

Dusty: Don't worry, that'll be my half. I know how you are. Go for it. Here you go. Save it for later.

Lucy: It's yours.

Dusty: No, I want you to have it. For making up, giving you a hard time. Have it. Hey? What's this? How'd you get this?

Lucy: I was climbing out the window trying to get away from those guys.

Dusty: You did a good job getting free, by the way.

Lucy: It wasn't that hard.

Dusty: Would you let me see that? Let's not let this get infected, all right? I'm gonna look around for a first aid kit. Are you okay while I look around?

Lucy: Guess I'll have to be.

Dusty: You sure you're not gonna run away again, right?

Lucy: What, and step on a mouse? Oh, right, they're more afraid of me, right?

Dusty: Sit tight, please.

Lucy: Dusty? Are those guys coming back?

Dusty: I hope not.

Lucy: Well, in case they do, I want you to know I plan to cooperate.

Dusty: You still think I'm a part of this, don't you?

Paul: Jordan here?

Barbara: I think he went to find James. I don't know. I tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn't listen to me.

Paul: Man, I was really hoping to get to him before James does.

Barbara: Why?

Paul: I was at the prison. I saw James. He wants to use Jordan to destroy us.

Jordan: I got your message. What have you found out about Cabot?

James: Now, Jordan, is that any way to greet your father? How about "are you okay? Feeling all right? I hate to see you locked up in a cage."

Jordan: I am here because you told me you would help me find my son. Other than that, I have nothing to say to you.

James: You don't have to be afraid of me.

Jordan: I am not afraid of you.

James: You see, I've asked to see my grandson once he's been found. What you fear is that I'll ask for more and more, and you will not be able to refuse.

Jordan: Okay. You give me your word that that won't happen.

James: Asking a man for his word is like asking him to lie. But then you have been talking to Barbara.

Jordan: Yeah. She told me that I would be better off giving up my own child than having anything to do with you.

James: Obviously you didn't agree with her.

Jordan: You need to understand something. I intend to protect Cabot for the rest of my life, even if it means keeping him away from you.

James: Dangerous strategy. You're removing my motivation for helping you.

Jordan: I need you to know how serious I am. When it comes to Cabot, I will not back down. Not from you, not from anyone.

Announcer: Coming up on "As the World Turns" --

Simon: Anyway, what's the point of holding grudges, right?

Mike: That's a nice speech, man. But I'm not buying it.

Jordan: You should also know that I plan on having my marriage to Rosanna annulled.

James: I rescind my offer to help you find Cabot. Let's see how you can do on your own.

Paul: James is using Cabot to get Jordan on his side. Then once Dad does that, he's going to use Jordan to get at me. To get at all of us.

Barbara: James told you this?

Paul: He doesn't have to. I can see this one -- what, you can't see this one coming?

Barbara: He's already started.

Paul: Why? What happened?

Barbara: Jennifer took Jordan’s side when I told him that he had to stay away from James. And after Jordan left, she told me that if I didn't accept her relationship with Jordan I would be out of her life forever.

Paul: See, he wants us at each other's throats. Nobody does this better.

Barbara: You have to talk to your new brother.

Paul: Why? He's not gonna listen to me. He's not gonna listen to any of us. Jordan has no understanding of what it's like to have James in his life. He's not gonna take my word for it. He's gonna have to learn this one on his own.

Barbara: Yeah. And that's what scares me.

James: I understand your impulse to protect your son. But you have my oath. You have nothing to fear from me.

Jordan: I've heard otherwise.

James: From Paul?

Jordan: He's not what you would call a devoted son.

James: Well, Paul and I have had a tumultuous relationship. I want very much for yours and mine not to be that way. Please tell me how.

Jordan: Well, for starters you can find Cabot and ask for nothing in return.

James: That's quite a request.

Jordan: I wrote a paper at business school about the advantages of playing hardball in negotiations.

James: All right, I withdraw my demand to see Cabot. I ask to see a recent photograph.

Jordan: Deal.

James: This will make it official?

Jordan: You should also know that I plan on having my marriage to Rosanna annulled.

James: That would be a colossal mistake.

Jordan: Not from where I see it.

James: Well, then it's time to improve your vision. I rescind my offer to help you find Cabot. Let's see how you can do on your own.

Katie: Have you seen my husband? He was just here.

Nurse: Yeah, he said he had to run an errand but it wouldn't take long.

Katie: Did he say where he was going?

Nurse: Not directly -- but I did hear him say something about a meeting at the Lakeview lounge.

Simon: Good day, mate. Thanks for coming.

Mike: What's going on, man? What do you want from me?

Simon: Well, first of all, I just wanted to see, you know, how you were doing.

Mike: You're concerned about me now? Give me a break. Now you tell me what you really want, because I'm about two seconds from walking out of here.

Simon: All right, fair enough. Listen, I was at the hospital when you overheard what Katie told her supervisor.

Mike: About the two of you leaving Oakdale?

Simon: Yeah. And I know that are some things that Katie wanted to tell you, but couldn’t.

Mike: So you're gonna tell me for her.

Simon: I'm just hoping that they'll make things a whole lot easier for everyone concerned.

Mike: Go ahead.

Simon: Well, Katie thinks that maybe she just went overboard with Pilar.

Mike: Overboard, how?

Simon: In as much as she might have overreacted to certain situations. And that she might have, you know, imagined that Pilar did things that she didn't actually do.

Mike: Are you saying that Katie thinks Pilar is innocent?

Simon: No, no, no. Not at all. Not entirely. But it might have been more of a two-way street.

Mike: I don't know about that. Pilar told me a lot of lies to convince me that Katie was crazy.

Simon: And Katie said that they probably just fed off each other and admits that they might have been both at fault.

Mike: This is the exact opposite of everything Katie’s been saying for months.

Simon: I know. I know, I know. It's just now that we're leaving town, she just didn't want to feel like she was running away from her feelings and wanted you to know that this whole ordeal, this entire situation, has just probably been blown out of proportion. Anyway, what's the point of holding grudges, right?

Mike: That's a nice speech, man. But I'm not buying it.

Mike: Now you want me to believe Katie’s had a total change of heart about Pilar, you better get Katie to tell me herself.

Simon: Listen, I don't want to do that. Speaking directly to you is only going to make her feel a lot worse. That's why I'm doing this.

Mike: But you think if she wanted a clean slate before she goes, she'd want to get this off her chest.

Simon: Listen, the only reason I told you this is 'cause I thought if you knew that Katie had forgiven Pilar, then maybe you could do the same thing. Maybe even start over. She'd like that.

Mike: She said so?

Simon: Well, not in so many words, no. But she wouldn't be opposed to it.

Mike: This is garbage, man.

Pilar: What happened? What did you say to him?

Simon: Well, he didn't believe that Katie had a change of heart about you. And you know what? I don't blame him.

Pilar: Well, then you'll have to try harder next time.

Simon: No, no, no, no, no. There's not gonna be a next time. This whole situation is quite sickening actually. Leave Mike alone and get the hell out of town.

Pilar: I'm warning you, Simon.

Simon: No, you're not warning me. No more warnings, no more threats. I'm warning you. This is over.

Pilar: You want me to prove that I'm serious? Then that's what I'll do.

Katie: Hey, husband, what's going on?

James: A lesson in strategic planning. Think past the moment when you find Rosanna. You rip the child from her arms, and rush home and you push an annulment through court.

Jordan: Sounds like a plan to me.

James: It will be a disaster, Jordan. You'll spend years in court, and you'll end up on the short end of the custodial stick.

Jordan: And I guess you have a better idea?

James: Always.

Dusty: When are you gonna figure out that I'm not in with these guys who tried to kidnap you?

Lucy: Would you tell me if you were?

Dusty: No, but I also wouldn't be around here worrying about your hand getting infected, would I?

Lucy: You know how much my Grandmother loves me and how much money she has. I mean, if you were really worried about it, you could just call her and tell her where I and you could take off for Europe or the Caribbean or something.

Dusty: Lucy, I'm not looking for a score here. I'm trying to protect you.

Lucy: You're not doing a very good job. I've got people chasing after me. I'm stuck living in some creepy warehouse when all I wanted was visit my mother.

Dusty: Okay, okay, let me help with this.

Lucy: No. Just leave it alone, okay? The only thing I want you to do is get me out of here.

Hal: All right, check with the gas station down the road. Maybe they noticed something that can help us. [Phone rings] Munson.

Dusty: Donovan.

Hal: Hey. How are things?

Dusty: They've been better.

Hal: Yeah, on this end, too. So where you calling from?

Dusty: I can't tell you. I just wanted to let you know that Lucy’s still with me.

Hal: That's what I figured.

Dusty: Well, here's something maybe you missed. You know, when I told Craig where Lucy was, he, Lucy’s stepfather and the cops were the only ones who knew about it. And then when I got back to that cabin, the same guys who attacked Lucy at Metro were there, disguised as state troopers, trying to grab her again.

Hal: How do you know it was the same guys?

Dusty: You're missing the point. Somebody tipped these guys off.

Hal: So who do you want me to go after? These goons dressed up like state troopers? This mysterious informant? Anybody but you?

Dusty: I'm being straight with you, Hal. Somebody's after Lucy, and it ain't me.

Hal: We found blood on a towel. Any idea whose it is?

Dusty: Lucy cut herself getting out a window. Other than that, she's doing fine.

Hal: If you want me to go after these other guys, I'll do it. But you have to turn Lucy over to us first.

Dusty: No, I tried that. It didn't work. She's safe with me. This is where she's gonna stay.

Hal: For how long?

Dusty: Till I figure out what's going on.

Craig: Was that about Lucy?

Hal: It was Donovan. Lucy's with him, Craig. He claims that she's okay.

Craig: He said he wanted to stay out of this.

Hal: He claims a couple of goons dressed as state troopers came after Lucy at the cabin. He stopped them and took off.

Craig: And you believed him? Maybe he's just raising stakes.

Hal: At this point, I don't know what to believe. But there's one thing that I do know, Craig. Your daughter's in big trouble.

Katie: My supervisor heard you say you were meeting someone here. I was just wondering why you didn't tell me?

Simon: It was Mike.

Katie: Why did you want to see him?

Simon: Well, I saw the look on your face when Mike found out that we were leaving town. I knew it didn't sit well with you, I just wanted to talk to him.

Katie: And say what? "You're probably never gonna see Katie again?"

Simon: No, no, I just wanted him to understand that we both wish him the best.

Katie: Seriously?

Simon: Yeah. Look, I'm sorry I had to go behind your back on this. I just didn't want you to talk me out of it.

Katie: Well, despite the way he treated me at the end, Mike is a good person. I guess it's important that he understands I still know that. Thank you. That was very sweet of you.

Dusty: Can I finish your hand up for you?

Lucy: Yeah.

Dusty: How does that feel? Too tight? I'm gonna need you to trust me -- just a little bit, okay? Can you do that?

Lucy: I don't know.

Dusty: At least you're honest. Okay, you're all set. It's been a long day. Come here. Why don't you try to get some shuteye for awhile? Here.

Lucy: What about the mice?

Dusty: The mice. I'll stand guard.

Hal: I think that's a smudge, but it could be a palm print right there.

Craig: How's Sierra?

Alan: Are you asking out of curiosity or genuine interest?

Craig: Listen, Gilligan. Sierra is the mother of my only child. And I care, whether you like it or not. You got that?

Alan: Well, she's frantic. How else would she be? She started in again about flying up here, but I convinced her to finish her meetings.

Hal: No one's gotten in touch with her demanding money?

Alan: No.

Hal: We got a call from Donovan. Lucy's with him.

Alan: Wait. He's the one who told us to go get her.

Craig: Except she wasn't here when we got here, which means Dusty's playing us for something.

Hal: He claims a couple of guys dressed as state troopers tried to grab Lucy while she was still here. She managed to escape and Donovan found her.

Alan: Well, did you talk to Lucy? Then why believe this guy?

Hal: Can you think of a reason why he would make up a story like that?

Craig: I don't care how. Dusty is not going to hurt my daughter. I'll kill him first.

Paul: James can't find out that Jennifer has turned against you. If he does, Mom, he will use that against you in ways that none of us can even imagine.

Barbara: Okay. So what do we do?

Paul: Well, for one thing, you don't keep Jennifer away from Jordan any more. And avoid fighting with Jennifer at all costs.

Barbara: That's not going to be easy.

Jennifer: Talking about me?

Paul: I was at the prison. I saw James. We're just were trying to figure out what his next move is.

Jennifer: He's going to help Jordan find Cabot.

Paul: Nothing is that simple when it comes to James. Jordan doesn't even understand what he's gotten himself into.

Jennifer: No, Jordan understands a whole lot more than you think. He won't let James Stenbeck get the best of him, and neither will I. James is not going to win this time, Paul, because we're not going to let him.

James: Your best move now is to keep a low profile. Rosanna, she's run off with a child -- unstable behavior. The more irrational she becomes, the more calm and reasonable you need to appear to be.

Jordan: Do you have any idea where Rosanna has taken Cabot?

James: I'll know that by morning. By noon, you could be holding your child again.

Jordan: Thank you.

James: No, thank you.

Jordan: For what?

James: For allowing me to be a father. Paul never would.

Jordan: No, there has to be more to it than that. A chance to help me, a picture of Cabot -- there must be more that you're after.

James: You're right. In return for my help, I want something from you I've never had from anyone else -- your trust, your absolute trust.

Jordan: I can't give that to you.

James: The door between us has been opened ever so slightly. Shall we try this again?

Paul: Look, Jen, don't get me wrong. Okay, I think it's very sweet that you have such confidence in Jordan. But with James in the mix, the two of you, you both need to be very careful.

Jennifer: We will. But you know, it would make things a whole lot easier if I knew the two of you didn't want him out of my life.

Barbara: Honey, I just want you happy. And if Jordan does that for you, well, then that's what makes me happy. I mean it, Jen. I will stop pressuring you into reconsidering.

Paul: Me, too.

Jennifer: Good. Thank you. I will see you later. I'm going to meet Jordan downstairs.

Barbara: There is no way in hell that I'm going to have my daughter raising James Stenbeck's grandchild.

Paul: Not going to happen.

Barbara: Really?

Paul: Really. Because I'm going to do everything I can to help Rosanna keep her son, even if that means that Jordan never sees Cabot again.

Barbara: Okay, so what do I do?

Paul: Right now, nothing. I'll see you later. Hi, this is Paul Ryan calling again. And I know that you can't tell me where Rosanna is, and you can't call her. But if she calls you, could you give her a message for me. It's very important. Great. Please tell her that she's being followed and she needs to leave wherever she is immediately. Thank you.

On the next "As the World Turns" --

Katie: Oh, my God! Simon!

Jessica: It may be the beginning of the end of your marriage to Tom.

Margo: No.

Jordan: This is about Rosanna. She's married to me. She's the mother to my child. You can't stand it, can you?
