Jennifer: Hey, I was wondering where you were --
Jordan: I was just checking messages --
Jordan: You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to disturb you.
Jennifer: Did you find anything out about Rosanna and the baby?
Jordan: I was hoping for something, but --
Jennifer: Hey, well, you'll find them. And when you do, I will be right beside you.
Katie: Today? You want hop on a plane and go to Australia today?
Simon: Yeah. Look, I know it's crazy, but why not?
Katie: Because it's so -- out of the blue.
Simon: No, it's not. It's spontaneous. And that's what you and I are. We're spontaneous. Besides, I've been dying to show you where I've come from for a long time.
Katie: I saw where you come from, and I didn't have such a great time.
Simon: Come on, it's going to be different. Listen, consider me your own personal tour guide. Yeah? I'll introduce you to a few of my old mates, teach you how to surf down at Bondo Beach. It's the greatest lifestyle in the world. You're going to love it.
Katie: It does sound nice --
Simon: Yeah? Fantastic!
Katie: What are you doing?
Simon: I'm gonna book us the greatest hotel in Sydney.
Katie: Oh, you weren't joking about tonight, were you?
Simon: No, no, no. A room overlooking the beach. It's awesome.
Katie: Well, hold on. No!
Katie: That's my question. Why does it have to be this minute? And I'm not going anywhere until you can give me an answer I can believe.
Pilar: A mimosa, please. Mike? I'm sorry to bother you. I just realized, I left a few things at your place and -- Mike? Please, don't hang up Ė
Katie: You're not talking about just a vacation to Australia, are you? You mean, forever --
Pilar: I figured out how you can help me get Mike back.
Simon: I'm sorry, mate, this is not a dating service.
Walker: Hello. Aren't we a little mature for all this cloak and dagger?
Barbara: What do you mean?
Walker: Barbara, nobody's giving us a second thought.
Barbara: Well, still, the staff could talk.
Walker: And they will divine that you spent the night in my suite, huh? By the way I swagger in? Or the way I savor my orange juice?
Barbara: Walker --
Walker: We've shared meals together before.
Barbara: Still -- people talk.
Walker: Let them.
Waiter: Compliments of the house.
Barbara: Oh, thank you.
Waiter: Are you ready to order?
Barbara: Um, actually I think I need a couple of minutes, thank you.
Walker: Excuse me -- uh, in case you're interested? I'm crazy about this woman.
Waiter: Congratulations -- you've got excellent taste.
Barbara: You are terrible.
Walker: Maybe. But I'm good for you.
Barbara: Yes, you are good for me. A little too confident, perhaps, but --
Walker: Well, you wouldn't give me a second thought if I werenít.
Barbara: You're probably right. Tell me something, have you ever been wrong about anything?
Walker: Um, now that I think of it -- no. Which does remind me. Have you given any thought to what I said about Jennifer and Jordan Sinclair?
Barbara: Look, I know I've been a little obsessed with my daughter and her love life. But that doesn't mean it has to be your mission, too.
Walker: My only mission is to become the man that finally makes Barbara Ryan happy.
Barbara: Well then, you should know -- Jennifer is one of the things that makes me the happiest.
Walker: Then, step out of her life, Barbara. Otherwise, you're just going to push her away.
Jordan: How did we get this place to ourselves for the whole night?
Jennifer: I don't know. I'm wondering where my mother is.
Jordan: Uh, I think we can take a guess.
Jennifer: I would rather not. She's my mother. But it is pretty wonderful to have so much privacy.
Jennifer: Mm-hmm. You know what I was thinking?
Jennifer: Wouldn't it be great if today was some big national holiday, and we could just hang out in our robes together all afternoon -- and all night --
Jennifer: Oh, look! Maybe it's an announcement saying today has been cancelled! Oh, it's for you --
Jordan: Oh. [Jordan sighs] It's from my father.
Jennifer: James sent you a message here?
Jordan: Yeah, it says that he'll be in contact with me later today. Well, I hope that this means that he's located Rosanna and the baby.
Jennifer: Jordan, did you tell James that you were staying here last night?
Jordan: No. Of course not, Jen.
Jennifer: Then, Jordan -- he's watching you.
Dusty: Your kid is fine.
Craig: Tell me where she is.
Dusty: You've gotta agree to the rules, pal.
Craig: Are you trying to squeeze me? Is that what this is?
Alan: Hey, he just said he's going to tell us where Lucy is. Let the man talk.
Craig: He is talking, Gilligan! And he's talking to you, too. Isn't that obvious?
Alan: No, but --
Craig: Huh? Maybe this is a shakedown. Maybe Sierra's part of the piggy bank. Why didn't he bring Lucy with him? Why are we standing in an alley? No cops?
Dusty: If I was shakin' you down, Craig-o, believe me, you would know it. Your daughter is safe right now --
Craig: I'm trying to keep her that way!
Craig: My daughter would be sunbathing in Montega right now, if she hadn't crossed paths with you.
Dusty: No, she would not. The same guy who attacked her at Metro was driving her to the airport, Craig. This has nothing to do with me. Someone's after your kid --
Craig: Oh, this has nothing to do with you?
Dusty: You should be kissin' my feet right now! I saved your daughter from being kidnapped!
Alan: Why can't you just tell us where she is?
Dusty: I'm not givin' up anything, pal, until I have his word. You want to protect your daughter, we do it my way.
Barbara: You are a wonderful man, Walker Daniels, and I bless the day that you were brave enough to walk into my life -- but you do not understand James Stenbeck. And if I may be frank with you --
Walker: I expect nothing less.
Barbara: You can't tell me how to mother my children.
Walker: Of course not. But what kind of friend would I be if I were less frank with you than you are with me?
Barbara: Okay. I'm ready.
Walker: You are -- you are a wonderful, loving mother, Barbara. But sometimes love -- it can have many demands. You loved Will with all your heart. He ended up in a mental hospital. Now, you don't want to love Jennifer so much that you end up pushing her away.
Barbara: Wow. You don't pull any punches, do you?
Walker: You wouldn't trust me with your health if I did.
Barbara: Okay, go on.
Walker: I've been thinking -- about your relationship with Jordan. You trusted him the whole time you were sick. He didn't betray that trust, did he?
Barbara: No -- but I didn't know he was Jamesís son, then.
Walker: Neither did he.
Barbara: Exactly my point.
Walker: Has he done anything to hurt you since he found out that James was his father?
Barbara: Not yet, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.
Walker: And you know that how?
Barbara: On the surface, Jordan is intelligent, compassionate, charming. And I will tell you, James can exude those same things. But underneath, he is deadly. And now that he's inserted himself in Jordanís life --
Walker: It doesn't matter.
Barbara: How can you say that?
Walker: Jordan and Jennifer are in love. Now, if you try to come between them, you're gonna be the glue that cements them together. It's that simple.
Barbara: One night with you and you're telling me how to raise my children?
Walker: You've already raised your children, Barbara. Let them make their own mistakes.
Barbara: Jennifer is my daughter. One mistake with Jamesís son could prove fatal.
Jordan: Maybe you're right. Maybe Stenbeck is watching me.
Jennifer: Doesn't that bother you?
Jordan: The man has been toying with my entire life up 'til now, Jen. Frankly, this doesn't feel much different. But, what I don't like is that this is frightening you.
Jennifer: No. No, I'm okay --
Jordan: No, Jen. You're shaking.
Jennifer: The note surprised me. It did. But, Jordan, I meant what I said. I understand why you had to turn to him for help.
Jordan: But, I just feel like no one else cares that Cabot is my child. Except for James. And you.
Jennifer: Oh, I'm in great company.
Jordan: Good. I love you, Jen. And there's nothing in this world that I wouldn't do for you, including letting you go if this is too much.
Jennifer: I can handle this.
Jordan: If he's watching me, he's gonna end up spying on your life, too. So, I wouldn't blame you if you just walked right out that door.
Jennifer: I live here.
Jordan: Right. Still. [Jordan sighs] You don't have to go through all this just for my sake.
Jennifer: I love you, too. And I want to be with you, okay? It's just that -- does being Cabotís father, mean that we have to reserve a permanent place for James at the table?
Jordan: No. No, absolutely not. But I do have to find Cabot. Which means that we might have to put up with him for a little while longer. [Jennifer sighs] Look, once I get my son back, I will never need another thing from that man ever again. And I give you my word that I will never bring him back into our lives. I need you to believe in me, Jen. Can you do that?
Lucy: He nailed it shut. Dusty! How could you do this to me!
Craig: My daughter needs to be protected from you! Because if you didn't set up this kidnapping, then your friends did.
Dusty: My friends?
Craig: Yeah. Like Starziak.
Dusty: Not him, I'll tell you that right now. Or any of his group --
Craig: Or what? Because they told you so!
Dusty: I walked in on somebody trying to snatch your kid. And I'm not giving her back to you, until tell me you believe me.
[Craig laughs scornfully]
Craig: Dusty, I need more than that.
Dusty: More like what? Somebody hijacked her limo. You think they're gonna give up just 'cause I squashed the first attack?
Craig: What do you want?
Dusty: What do I want?
Dusty: I want you to be cool, call the cops, and tell 'em what I told you. Don't be a hero.
Craig: All right. Now, where is she?
Dusty: She's in an old abandoned house, Route 14, on Old Dundee Road.
Craig: Route 14, that's like -- a mile, a mile and a half --
Dusty: Listen to me --
Craig: Near Lutherís Corners Church?
Dusty: Yeah, you take a right out of here -- you take a right at the church. About a mile down the road, you'll see an old boarded-up minimart. Right behind it, is the house.
Craig: Um, okay.
Dusty: Keep an eye out, 'cause you can't see it from the road.
Alan: How can we be sure that Lucyís still there?
Dusty: She's --
Alan: If you left her alone, she could have gotten frightened and run off?
Dusty: No, she's in there. I locked her in -- from the outside --
Craig: You locked her in?
Dusty: Yeah, I nailed the windows shut, too. Maybe if she can't get out, the bad guys can't get in. You ever think of that, Craig?
Craig: You ever think about a fire?
Dusty: It's not my business! It's not about me!
Craig: Oh, okay.
Dusty: I didn't sign up for this, guy!
Craig: She better be okay.
Dusty: Well, why don't you find out for yourself. Here's the key. The door's chained. This is to the padlock. All right?
Alan: We'll take bolt cutters in case the key doesn't work.
Dusty: Yeah, take bolt cutters. It works. I told you everything.
Craig: Where are you going?
Dusty: I told you everything! I'm getting as far away from this town as I can get.
Lucy: One, two, three. Ow! Oh, God -- [Lucy sobbing]
Katie: A few minutes ago you were planning me this huge party, and now all of a sudden, you want me to move halfway across the world? Out of the blue? Without a conversation? What's going on?
Simon: I just thought we could make a fresh start.
Katie: I thought that's what we were doing -- here. You're saying we have to go all the way to Australia to do it?
Simon: Well, we were always planning on going someday anyway.
Katie: Yeah. That was before you ran off. And I ran off after you and got locked in the basement by that psycho while you pretended you were dead.
Simon: Look, we're never going to go anywhere near that place. Babe, we'll be in the city. We'll be in the city. We'll live by the coast. You're gonna love it --
Katie: I just don't understand why we can't stay here, where it's familiar and quiet, and we can focus on getting to know each other again.
Simon: This is your home, Katie.
Katie: What are you talking about? This is our home. You built this from a tiny, wrecked shack into this beautiful place for us.
Simon: Yeah, and I can do it all over again in Australia. Come on. It's the greatest place in the world to raise kids.
Katie: I guess I just never realized you were so unhappy here.
Simon: I'm not unhappy. It's just that, we've only known each other here. I want to show you -- and share with you -- my home. Then, we can decide where we want to live from there.
Katie: We were just starting to get so close again.
Simon: Going away is only going to make us closer.
Katie: You're asking me to uproot my entire life -- without warning.
Simon: No. I'm saying, that it's just you and me going away together, no distractions. How bad can that be?
Katie: I don't know. It's just, right now, it doesn't seem like a good thing. I don't know why. You're just all of a sudden not being yourself, Simon. Something's not right. Are you in trouble again? Is someone after you again? You're trying to cover it up. I'm gonna call Margo.
Simon: No, no, no, no, no, no. You don't have to call her, please. It's -- you're right, you're right. I am holding out on you. It was just -- being here reminds me of the past, you know? Relationships.
Katie: Oh, honey -- you don't have to worry about that. We're together again. We're married. We made vows. Nothing, no one is ever gonna come between us again, okay?
Barbara: Jen? Jen? She must be out. Somewhere with Jordan, I assume.
Walker: Good. That'll give you time to decide how you're going to handle things when she comes home.
Barbara: Back off -- that's your advice and you're sticking to it, huh?
Walker: 150 %.
Barbara: It just makes me feel so out of control.
Walker: Well, you were out of control last night and that worked out pretty well.
Barbara: You know what, doctor, you better stop that. Because you don't want to know what I did the last time somebody doused me with compliments.
Walker: I want to learn everything about you. You fascinate me, and not just because you are so beautiful. The first time I saw you, my heart almost stopped. Now, there was something else. You're completely your own woman. Not some clinging vine. And that's what I'm dying to see more of. You, living your own life, and not your childrenís. Hmm?
Jennifer: Do you want to order something to eat or do --? Mom -- didn't know you were back.
Alan: I can't that we're stuck here waiting for your policeman friend.
Craig: He's a good cop.
Alan: And he's wasting our time.
Craig: We don't go in without backup.
Alan: If Donovanís right and there is some other kidnapper --
Craig: We don't go in without firepower! And I'm not packing. Are you packing it, little buddy? I didn't think so. Dusty wanted my word we wouldn't go in without the police.
Alan: This is a hell of a time to start keeping your word. Sierra's told me how much a promise from you is worth. Then suddenly you decide to trust some mobster?
Craig: C'est la voi. C'est la voi. I don't trust anyone with my daughter.
Alan: Yeah, then why are we playing this his way?
Craig: You don't want to do this? Go home. 'Cause don't think you're sailing to the rescue here.
Alan: Oh, I see. This is about you and me. Right? You're afraid I'll get too much of the glory.
Craig: You want to be a martyr, Popeye? You want to be a martyr? You want to walk us into a trap, risk my daughter's life? I'll shoot you myself!
Don: Looks like we got here just in time.
Announcer: Coming up on "As the World Turns" --
Lucy: But, why are you wearing gloves?
Don: Its part of the uniform.
Barbara: It's the cigars that James -- God, he sent them! Didn't he?!
Simon: Get out of here now.
Pilar: Change Mike's mind. By tonight. Or your marriage is over.
Simon: So, obviously, you don't want to talk about Australia right now, and that's fine. We'll -- we'll chat about it later.
Katie: Listen, I'm not completely opposed, but I just need to think about it, okay?
Simon: Why don't you go make that phone call anyway?
Katie: To Margo?
Simon: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, she's your sister. She always gives you great advice. Just talk about it with her, see what she thinks.
Katie: You sure?
Simon: Yeah. Yeah, and why don't you --? Here. Grab the phone, go upstairs, have some privacy. Talk about me behind my back, say whatever you want. I really don't care.
Katie: Oh, that's sweet. But you know I would never talk bad about you. Mm. Don't worry, okay? The past is past. It's over.
Simon: Coming to my house is not going to get you anything.
Pilar: You hung up on me.
Simon: Yeah, and another thing about that. Do not call my house. What if Katie answers?
Pilar: That's right. What if? Maybe you need to remember that there's nothing to stop me from going in there and telling her that you hired me to come between --
Simon: Just shut up. Cut to the chase. What do you want? You said you figured out something to do.
Pilar: Yes. Mike is really angry with me right now. But if he didn't believe Katieís side of things, then we'd be fine. So, he needs to find out that Katie has had a revelation. She realizes now that she was wrong about me.
Simon: Katie wasn't wrong. You sent her to the looney bin. She's never going to forget that.
Pilar: Yeah, but if you talk to Mike --
Simon: What? Talk to Mike? And say what?
Pilar: That Katieís too embarrassed to admit that she made a big mistake blaming him.
Simon: You want me to go to Mike and tell him that Katieís had a change of heart. He's not going to believe that. That's going to have to come from Katie, and she's never going to say that.
Pilar: Well, then what if you timed it so that you told him, and then you and Katie moved away?
Simon: You know what? If you think that I'm going to do that, you're the one who should go to the nut house.
Pilar: Come on. A conman like you? It's like taking candy from a baby.
Simon: Read my lips, no.
Pilar: Does this work?
Simon: Back off.
Pilar: Mike is at the hospital right now. Maybe you could arrange to bump into him there.
Simon: You are really pushing it, man.
Pilar: You're the one that pushed things, Simon. Don't you realize that? When I got to town, Katie and Mike weren't together at all. She was being loyal to you, even though you walked out on her. All you had to do was come back, and she would have been right there waiting for you. But now, with all your lies and schemes, all the things you did to hold on to her, are exactly what's going to make you lose her. Funny how life works, isn't it?
Simon: Get out of here now.
Pilar: Change Mike's mind by tonight, or your marriage is over.
Jordan: I'm -- I'm going to go get dressed and let you have your place to yourself.
Barbara: No, please, don't leave. I want to talk to Jen, but this concerns you, too.
Jordan: All right.
Barbara: Well, it's very clear that you two are still involved.
Jennifer: Did you think that that would change?
Jordan: I guess your mother thought that finding out who my father is might alter our relationship.
Jennifer: Well, then she doesn't know me as well as she thinks she does. Mother, we are in love. Nothing you say can --
Barbara: Listen to me. I know that I tend to want to get too involved in my daughter's life. I understand that. But you have to understand that I know the pain that James can cause. But I will not interfere with you and Jordan. I would like some reassurance, though.
Jordan: What can I do to put your mind at rest?
Barbara: Just reassure me that you're not going to go anywhere near James.
Jordan: Barbara, I have no illusions about what James is. You don't have to worry. I will always protect Jennifer.
Walker: Oh, that would be my beeper. Yeah. I need to get back to the hospital.
Barbara: Okay. My gosh, I have a meeting in a half an hour anyway with Barenholz. He never sent the swatches. I'll call you later, okay?
Walker: I hope so. Nice job, Ms. Ryan. Wasn't too difficult, was it?
Barbara: Excruciating. I hope you're right. Well, I've got to run.
Jordan: I'm -- I'm going to go get dressed, too. If James does try to contact me today, I don't want it to be here. What's the matter?
Jennifer: That wasn't easy for my mother, which is only one of the reasons why she can never ever know that you're in contact with James.
Craig: So, Hal, he handed me this key, then he hightailed it out of here.
Hal: You really think Dusty stumbled into the middle of a kidnapping?
Craig: I don't know, Hal. He is mixed up in this. And I'm not taking a chance with Lucyís safety in case he's telling the truth.
Hal: Well, you did the wise thing calling us in. But I got to wonder, if Dusty really set all this in motion, why would he show up and tell you where to find her?
Craig: We don't know till we get there, Hal. Who else would do this?
Alan: A lot of people. Lucy's wealthy, her mother and grandmother are very high-profile.
Hal: Donovan say anything else we should know about?
Craig: Yeah. He said Lucy would need protection when she's found.
Alan: He wants us to believe that there are these other people who would try to snatch her.
Hal: Well, first order of business is to get her out of that house. My guys and I will get on it right away.
Craig: I'm going, too.
Alan: So am I.
Hal: No, Craig.
Craig: Don't -- don't even try, Hal. I don't rest till Lucyís found.
Lucy: Where's my father?
Don: He's -- he's back in Oakdale.
Lucy: But Dusty said that when the cops showed up that he would be with them.
Wade: We vetoed that plan. We thought it would be better, safer, if we came without him.
Lucy: My father would never agree to that.
Don: Well, we're pretty persuasive, ma'am, so if you'll just come with us.
Lucy: It's June.
Wade: Yes, it is, young lady. If you'll just come with us --
Lucy: So why are you wearing gloves?
Don: It's -- its part of the uniform.
Lucy: Really? Or are you just trying not to leave fingerprints?
Don: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back off. Back off, back off, back off.
Don: You see how small that bathroom I you see how small that bathroom is? You kick in the door, you could kill here, then how much is she worth to us? Go to the trunk, get the crowbar, we'll pry the hinges off the door.
Wade: All right.
Dusty: Hopefully, the cops and your father will be here within the hour.
Lucy: Hopefully? Where are you gonna be? Aren't you coming back?
Dusty: Yeah. Sorry, princess. I got to get out of town.
Simon: So, did you speak to Margo?
Katie: She was at the station. I didn't want to bother her there.
Simon: So what were you doing up there so long?
Katie: I'll go.
Katie: I said I'll go. Don't you know that I would go to the ends of the earth to make you happy?
Simon: So what changed your mind?
Katie: Well, I guess I just started thinking about marriage. And when two people love each other as much as we do, they make sacrifices for each other.
Simon: You've already given up so much for me.
Katie: And you've given up a lot for me, too.
Simon: So, what about your family?
Katie: I'm gonna miss 'em. And Henry, too. But they can come visit, right?
Simon: Yes, right. Absolutely.
Katie: I just think it's about time that I got to know the country that gave me the man I love.
Simon: We're going to have the most phenomenal life. I promise.
Katie: As long as it's forever this time.
Simon: It is going to be forever. You can bet on that. All right, then. I guess we better go start packing.
Simon: Well, we got so much to do before we leave.
Katie: Oh, I don't think I made myself very clear. I'm gonna go with you to Australia, but not tonight.
Barbara: Where's Jordan?
Jennifer: He went back to his place to change. And then we're going over to B.R.O. together.
Barbara: That's nice.
Jennifer: Isn't that what they teach southern girls at charm school? When you want to scream and curse, you just smile instead and say, "Thatís nice."
Barbara: Walker reminded me that Jordan is still Jordan. I liked him enough to hire him in the first place, and then I trusted him enough with my life. That's not gonna change. And I know you want this.
Jennifer: I've never been more sure about anyone in my life.
Barbara: And I have to tell you, there's something very comforting to me about that, knowing that you're happy.
Jennifer: Jordan is one of the good guys, Mom. And he couldn't change that if he tried.
Barbara: That depends on whether he stays away from James.
Jennifer: You and Walker were looking awfully comfortable. My radar tells me that something is different.
Barbara: He's a wonderful friend.
Jennifer: How wonderful is wonderful?
Barbara: Okay. I guess last night I realized that he's more than a friend.
Jennifer: I thought so. Oh, Mom, that's great. Really, you deserve it.
Barbara: Well, thank you, but I -- I don't know what this means, how long it's going to last. But Walker's one of the good ones, too. Maybe we've both found what we've been looking for.
[Knock at door]
Bellman: This was just delivered to the front desk.
Jennifer: Oh. Are those the swatches from Barenholz?
Barbara: It's got Jordanís name on it. These are cigars. These are the cigars that James smokes. My God, he sent them, didn't he?
Don: Damn it, Wade. Come back here with that crowbar.
Wade: I got it now --
Katie: Come on, Simon. You don't really expect me to hop on a plane without saying good-bye to my brother and sister?
Simon: No, no, I guess not.
Katie: You know me. It takes me two days to get ready for a weekend trip to Chicago. You're talking about a lifetime on the other side of the world. I mean, what about the cottage?
Simon: Well, I'm sure Henry probably wants to stay here.
Katie: Yeah, probably, but I'm gonna have to work that out with him. And what are we gonna do with Faux and Snickers?
Simon: Um -- well, they can keep Henry warm on cold, lonely nights. Look, is there no way I can convince you to be spontaneous here?
Katie: I'm going with you. Isn't that enough?
Simon: Yes, it is. No, absolutely. You're right. It sure is.
Katie: Ooh, and that party you were gonna throw me can turn into our bon voyage party.
Simon: Ah, good idea. Now you're thinking. Actually, I'm really glad you know about this party now.
Katie: And why is that?
Simon: Well, it occurred to me that since I've been gone, I really don't know who any of your friends are anymore. I mean, you probably have some hospital friends that you want to invite, right?
Katie: Oh, that's sweet to think of them.
Simon: Yeah? So, you know what? We don't we head down there now? Meet some of them, and we can invite them now.
Katie: Okay. Actually, I'm gonna need to go down there and talk to personnel anyway about not reinstating me.
Simon: Okay, then. So we're off?
Katie: We're off.
Jennifer: Mom, you're making way too much of this. It's just a box of cigars. [Knock at door] I'll get that, okay? You just breathe.
Jordan: Hi. Ready?
Jennifer: Something was delivered for you.
Barbara: Yes, a box of Cuban cigars, Jamesís favorite, and a note came, too. I'd like to see that.
Jennifer: Mom, it's none of your business.
Barbara: Everything concerning James Stenbeck is my business.
Jordan: Jen, I might as well tell your Mom what's going on. I asked James to get some information for me.
Barbara: You went to the prison again to see him? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is?
Jordan: Barbara, the note only says that James has information that I asked for, and that he'd like to deliver it in person.
Barbara: So all your reassurances to me were just lies? Is that it?
Jennifer: No, Mom, you don't get it.
Barbara: No, I get it perfectly. I'm the only one in this room that gets it. James may have your new boyfriend firmly in his grasp, but I'll be damned if he gets you, too.
Hal: This is the police! Lucy Montgomery, if you're in here, you can come out now. It's safe. Check in there.
Cop: Empty, Lieutenant.
Hal: She's not here, Craig.
Craig: So it was a setup. And Dusty was just buying time. I'm gonna kill him.
Hal: Watch it, Craig.
Alan: It's your own fault. You dragged your feet waiting for the lieutenant here to take his own sweet time. Who knows where she is now.
Hal: Don't touch anything. CSI's gotta dust. Harrison, search the rest of the house.
Hal: Craig -- you might want to take a look at this. It's fresh.
Dusty: Keep your mouth shut, keep your mouth shut, and I'll take my hand away, all right? All right?
Lucy: You said you were gonna send my father and the cops, but instead you sent those phony state troopers.
Dusty: What? What are you talking about?
Lucy: Those guys that were dressed up like cops. They're the same guys who attacked me at Metro. Your guys.
Dusty: My guys? They're not my guys. I told you, I'm not with them.
Lucy: If I hadn't gotten myself untied, they would have taken me, which would have been exactly what you wanted, wasn't it? So you could ask my Dad for ransom money?
Dusty: I just spoke to your Dad. He should be thanking me. I told your Dad and your step-Dad where you are right now.
Lucy: Well, if you didn't tell those guys where I was, how would they know?
Dusty: I have no idea. Why would I send them, if I came back to get you?
Lucy: I don't know.
Dusty: I'm not convincing you of anything! Forget about it! And don't give me that look. Don't give me that. Look, I'm not overwhelmed with joy to hang out with you, either, all right? But we're in this now. Now I gotta keep you until I figure this out.
Lucy: What if I don't want to get in the car with you?
Dusty: Then donít. Whatever. It's up to you.
On the next "As the World Turns" --
Dusty: Get out.
Dusty: 'Cause you don't know what's good for you yet. Get out.
Katie: But there's been a change of plans. My husband and I are leaving Oakdale for good.
Paul: You waited a long time to spring Jordan on us. You're using him, old man, and I want to know how.
