Ryan: For the last time, what did you do with Greenlee? Did you send her on some wild goose chase?

David: Agh! Uh! And why would I do that?

Ryan: She told me, Hayward, what you've been doing to her, dangling the possibility that Leo may still be alive right in front of her. Did you get her to believe it? I mean, would you really spit on your brother's memory like that?

David: If my brother Leo was still breathing, the whole world would know it.

Janet: I can't wait to get home. Oh, a real bed and real food and little Trevor as my cutie patootie roomie. You do have room for your old mama at your place, don't you? Why are you looking at him? You don't need to. This is between you and me. In fact, you can go.

Amanda: Mom, he is my husband. He's not going anywhere, and Oak Haven burned down. It's not like you were released.

Janet: So? What am I supposed to do, wait here until they rebuild that hell hole? No. My place is with my daughter and with my grandson.

Jake: Janet --

Janet: Why are you still here?

Jake: Well, you want the truth? Because I'm not gonna leave you alone with your daughter. That's why, ok?

Janet: I wouldn't hurt a hair on her beautiful head.

Jake: Janet, can I ask you a question? Are you the one that took a match to Oak Haven?

[Beeping]

Greenlee: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, is this really happening? Zach. Zach, it's Greenlee. Please wake up.

Bianca: I'd almost forgotten that room existed. Zach was really prepared for anything, huh?

Kendall: Yeah, when it came to his family. Are Mom and Marian ok?

Bianca: Yeah. Exhausted. They were almost asleep before their heads hit the pillow. No sign of Dixie?

Kendall: Uh-uh. Did this just really happen?

Bianca: Yeah. I'm pretty sure.

Kendall: Dixie just walked into this house alive and breathing.

Bianca: Yeah. After all that time, she's alive? Oh, my God. Tad.

Kendall: Oh, God. Cara.

Griffin: Maybe I shouldn't have said anything.

Cara: Griff, my husband's ex-wife could be back from the dead? I mean, I'd rank that as need-to-know, wouldn't you?

Griffin: Even if that were true, and that's a huge if, Tad and Dixie weren't together when she died. He moved on. What?

Cara: You haven't been around him lately. He can't escape her memory, I mean, even if he tried.

Tad: You know what's crazy? For the last few days, I've been feeling like you're everywhere, like I could just reach out and touch you, you know, right around the next corner. Now nothing, you know? Should take a couple of crickets. A horny frog wouldn't be too much to ask. Yeah. Well, I guess I'll just have to figure this one out on my own.

Dixie: Tad? Tad?

Tad: I got to admit, as signs go, that wasn't too shabby.

Dixie: Tad?

Tad: Oh, Lord. Ok. What is this? What's happening?

Dixie: Tad.

Tad: J.R. saw you, and so did Kathy. Is this how it was with him? I mean, are you -- a ghost?

Dixie: Oh --

Tad: Dixie?

Dixie: Oh --

Griffin: You and Tad are in a good place, right?

Cara: Yes. We are, but --

Griffin: But nothing, nothing. Listen. Go on this trip. Have a good time. I'll deal with David and see whatever he's up to, ok? Cara?

Cara: I heard you.

Griffin: Good. Now, tell Tad I say hi, ok --

Cara: Ok.

Griffin: And don't forget your sunscreen. Mwah.

Cara: Bye.

Janet: That's preposterous. Are you going to let him talk to me like this?

Jake: Janet, the clothes you were wearing into the hospital all reeked of gasoline, and your burn marks are sort of splash patterns of an accelerant.

Janet: Who died and made you Sherlock Holmes?

Amanda: Mom, this is serious.

Janet: I'll tell you what's serious -- me wasting away in a padded cell while my grandson is growing up without me. Why don't you ever come and see me? It's his fault, isn't it? Did Jake forbid you?

Amanda: No. It's just, life has been really complicated lately.

Janet: Well, tell me. Why complicated, honey? Tell your mom everything. Start with your -- actually, no. Start with little Trevor.

Amanda: Trevor is amazing, and I really don't know what I would do without him, especially lately now.

Janet: Why? Why lately? Why now? Oh, are you leaving Dr. Downer here? Now, that's a good idea.

Amanda: Mom, no. Jake has been a Godsend. He is my rock.

Janet: Is it or is it not the 21st century, Amanda? You do not need a man to lean on.

Amanda: Even if I have cancer?

Janet: What?

Amanda: I have cancer.

Bianca: It's crazy to think Alexander Cambias was telling the truth. That manuscript that he sent to Ryan confessing to the Satin Slayer murders but denying that he killed Dixie. Turns out, nobody did.

Kendall: I'm just taking it all in. It's been a mind-blowing day.

Bianca: No. There's something else.

Kendall: Griffin has been working with David.

Bianca: Ok. Working on what?

Kendall: On some project. It's called Orpheus. I don't really know all the details, but I just know that it's how David brought Greenlee back after her accident.

Bianca: Back? Oh, you mean back from near death.

Kendall: Yeah.

Bianca: What, you think David did the same thing with Dixie?

Kendall: Maybe. I don't know. I don't know.

Bianca: You got all upset when Mom mentioned something about David. Is there something you're not telling me? Ok. First, Greenlee, then Dixie -- people we thought were dead. You don't think that --

Kendall: No. Zach is gone. He's gone, and there is nothing anyone, not even David, can do to change that.

Greenlee: Come on, Zach. Please open your eyes. Kendall. Oh, my God, I have to tell Kendall. Damn it, David! Open this door!

David: I'm so tired of this.

Ryan: So tired of what, exactly?

David: What do you think? The accusations, the suspicions, not to mention the blatant law breaking. Next time you want to ransack my office, ask. I'll give you the damn key.

Ryan: Oh, because you got nothing to hide, right, Hayward?

David: Yeah. That's right. Look. I came here to discuss something with you. I'm proposing a truce. You get off my back, stop digging around my personal things, I'll tell you whatever it is you want to know, the whole truth and nothing but.

Ryan: You might want to look up the concept first.

David: Are you in, or are you out?

Ryan: Ok. Fine. I'm in. I'll play. Just tell me where Greenlee is.

David: And here I was expecting something original.

Ryan: Fine. Tell me about Project Orpheus, then, and you can leave out the orphanage story, ok?

David: I thought Dr. Castillo already filled you in on that one.

Ryan: I want to hear it from you.

David: All right. Fair enough. Orpheus is a miracle wrapped in pure genius -- mine, of course.

Greenlee: Damn it, David! Oh -- Wake up. Wake up and tell me bad jokes. Bore me to death with hockey recaps. Just please do something. Ok. Ok, ok. I'm gonna focus. I'll focus on your chest moving up and down. It's a miracle. You know what would be even more a miracle? If you could please, please just wake up. How did David piece you back together?

David: Project Orpheus is a project I've been working on for many years, the details of which would go over your head, but it involves advanced stem cell work.

Ryan: This work was in the form of research -- medical journals, rats, that sort of thing.

David: It started out that way. Yes.

Ryan: Never sanctioned by any bureaucracy to be more.

David: Heh. Of course not. That would've added years to its progress.

Ryan: So you're sitting there admitting to illegal medical practices.

David: Yes. I guess I am.

Ryan: Give me one good reason why I shouldn't turn you in right now.

David: Because you owe me, Ryan. Your wife is alive today and walking, all because of Orpheus.

Ryan: And where is she walking right now?

Bianca: You had to have considered it. Otherwise, why are you getting so worked up?

Kendall: I'm getting worked up because you won't let it go.

Bianca: David had Greenlee when we all thought she was gone, and now Dixie is back, and Mom is convinced that David had something to do with that. I mean, don't you think that's weird at all?

Kendall: Yeah. Of course, I do. Yes. I mean, of course. People rising from the dead, that's weird.

Bianca: Well, if David saved Dixie and Greenlee, there must be others. What if --

Kendall: No, no. No. Zach is gone. His plane exploded. It is at the bottom of the ocean, ok? He is gone.

Bianca: I'm sorry.

Kendall: I don't need you to be sorry. I just need you to let it go.

Bianca: Ok.

Kendall: Why won't anybody just let it go? I don't understand. Just let it go.

Bianca: Is this what got between you and Griff?

Kendall: Oh, it doesn't matter, all right? It would've never worked out with me and Griff, anyway.

Bianca: Why not? I thought you guys were really good together.

Kendall: Well, you thought wrong. Everyone did, including me.

Tad: I think this is where you're supposed to tell me this is all my imagination, that it's not real, that I'm dreaming.

Dixie: It's me. It's Dixie. Oh --

Tad: My God. Oh, my. Oh --

Janet: What kind?

Amanda: Cervical.

Janet: Oh.

Amanda: The hysterectomy is scheduled for tomorrow.

Janet: Mandy --

Jake: Actually, it's a good thing because they feel they can get the whole thing in one shot.

Amanda: I'll be cancer-free.

Janet: But no more babies. Oh, honey, now you look at me. Uh-uh. Look. Look at me. I have put you through hell over the years, the things I've done to your father and to you, and yet you somehow managed to survive all that. I am confident you are gonna survive this.

Bianca: Hi. Hi.

Marissa: You ok?

Bianca: Yeah. Yeah. I'm fine.

Marissa: You sounded so not you on the phone.

Bianca: Well, things have been pretty crazy. A lot.

Kendall: Binks, do you really think that you should tell her?

Bianca: Yeah. I trust Marissa with anything, and to be truly honest, I really need her right now.

Marissa: Ok. Now you got me really freaked out.

Bianca: Ok. Why don't you just sit down?

Marissa: Um, ok. You know that's, like, the least calming thing you can say to me, right?

Bianca: Ok. Just sit. I'll tell you everything.

Marissa: Ok.

Kendall: You know what? I'm gonna go check on Spike and Ian. You can help yourself to anything in the kitchen. Ok.

Bianca: Ok.

Marissa: Ok. Tell me what's going on.

Bianca: Uh, you know, just people coming back from the dead -- and stuff like that.

[Machine beeping]

Greenlee: What am I thinking? Like I have any clue what's in there. Are those drugs keeping you asleep, or are they keeping you alive?

David: In Greenlee's case, it was spinal nerve cells, in Angie's -- retinal cells.

Ryan: Grown for transplantation.

David: That's right. It's the closest mankind has ever come to having the power of life over death.

Ryan: And what a relief knowing that that power ended up in your hands.

David: Heh. You got that right.

[Knocks on door]

Ryan: Hey, just in time for the show.

David: Perfect timing. Would you please tell Ryan all about Orpheus, everything I've been able to accomplish?

Griffin: I'd love to, but apparently, I don't know the half of it.

David: What is that supposed to mean?

Griffin: Amanda Dillon's mother was brought into PVH today, burn wounds.

David: Severe?

Griffin: Forget the injuries, David. She insists she's not only seen Dixie Martin, but spent time with her --

Ryan: Wait.

Griffin: Recently.

Ryan: What?

Griffin: Yeah, up at Oak Haven. Dixie Martin is one of the obituaries we found in your office. Did you save her, David, stash her away like Greenlee?

Opal: Thank you, honey.

Krystal: Honey, you know Erica. She's had more lives than she's had husbands. She's gonna be just fine.

Opal: Well, then why haven't we heard from her? I've left her a million messages. I mean, she could be lying under some smoldering piece of rubble right now.

Cara: Talking about the fire at Oak Haven?

Opal: Yeah. Did you hear anything? How's Erica?

Cara: I don't know, but I will tell you this. Everybody made it out just fine. There was no bodies found on the site.

Opal: Oh, thank you.

Krystal: You see? I told you.

Cara: So -- anyone seen Tad?

Tad: I don't understand. It's not possible. If I let you go, you're gonna disappear. I know it.

Dixie: No. I'm here. I'm alive.

Tad: Yeah, but how? How? How? I mean, this is -- I have no idea what the hell this is.

Dixie: Ha ha ha!

Tad: I watched you die. I sat by your bed, and I watched you take your last breath. I remember what you said just before you did it.

Dixie: "Together forever."

Tad: "Together forever." "Together forever." "Together forever."

Dixie: Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha!

Tad: Oh -- oh -- oh --

Dixie: Oh, Tad.

Tad: I don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but --

Dixie: What?

Tad: I saw you slip away. I was there. I saw it with my own eyes.

Dixie: I'm sorry.

Tad: You were poisoned, Dixie. You died.

Dixie: Yes.

Tad: Then how are you sitting here with me?

Dixie: I don't know. I was dead, and -- now I'm not.

Tad: Uh-huh. Well, I'm glad we sorted that out.

Dixie: Heh.

Tad: I -- I should have, like, a million questions, and I can't think of one. I'm just so amazed you're here, that it's -- that it's you, but this is -- this is beyond wild. It's --

Dixie: I wish I could explain. I was at Oak Haven.

Tad: Oak Haven?

Dixie: I remember that.

Tad: No. I mean, when? Recently? I was at Oak Haven. I went there because of Opal, and -- she was right. You were there. Why? Dixie, why would you be at Oak Haven? You don't remember? Do you remember where you were before?

Dixie: David.

David: Dixie back among the living. Now, that would be nice. I was in love with her -- did you know that, Dr. Castillo? Would've done anything for her.

Ryan: For her, to her. It's just semantics, really, isn't it, David?

David: He's right. I did go to some extremes out of love for an incredible woman.

Ryan: But you never got that love back. That must've hurt, huh?

David: Hmm. You know, with all my brilliance, I guess you can consider that my Achilles heel, falling for women who can't return my affections.

Griffin: Sorry. When did this become a therapy session? I asked you a question. I want an answer.

David: You see, this is exactly what I was talking about, why I came up with the idea of a truce in the first place.

Ryan: Your great mentor feels like he's being ganged up on.

Griffin: All I'm interested is the truth, Dr. H.

David: Hmm. All right. You know what? Happy sleuthing, gentlemen. I have more important things to do.

Ryan: Hold him.

David: What the hell do you think you're doing?

Ryan: You promised me the truth. I'm just taking you at your word.

Opal: Tad, he was here. He must've gone out.

Krystal: Maybe he's helping Jesse track down the Oak Haven runaways.

Opal: Oh, that could be.

Cara: Janet Dillon was brought in after the fire, and she said the most interesting thing.

Krystal: Well, that doesn't surprise me.

Opal: What's that old cuckoo head been waxing on about now?

Cara: She said Dixie is alive.

Opal: That's hogwash. I was at Oak Haven yesterday. I saw plenty of Janet and not hide nor hair of Dixie. No. That poor soul, she is dead and gone.

Janet: I'm so sorry, Mandy. You know, for someone who wanted so desperately to be a mother, I didn't do a very good job, did I?

Amanda: You tried.

Janet: Not hard enough. You know, you -- I've seen you with little Trevor. He's the light of your life, and he knows it, but he's not the only light, and he knows that, too, and for that, that makes you a million times the mother I ever could be.

Jake: Well, your mom is right about that. You are the best mom I've ever known.

Janet: And if Trevor is the only child that the two of you ever have, then it's God's will and his blessing, too.

Jake: I think we want a bigger brood. So we'll adopt. We'll adopt 10 if we have to, 20. We'll adopt 20. The sky is the limit.

Amanda: Ok. Now, that may be pushing it.

Janet: Everything is gonna work out, Mandy. I know it is. And you -- so you're gonna be there for her?

Jake: Every step of the way.

Janet: Good. Then you do what I couldn't. You take care of my little girl.

Marissa: But your mom is ok.

Bianca: Well, yeah. Yeah. That is the craziest part. I mean, she's more of herself than she's been in weeks.

Marissa: That's the craziest part, huh?

Bianca: Oh, good point. Statement withdrawn.

Marissa: Look at you with the lawyer speak.

Bianca: Oh, my girlfriend taught me well.

Marissa: Your girlfriend, huh?

Bianca: Is that too much too soon?

Marissa: No. It's long overdue.

Bianca: What's wrong?

Marissa: I don't know. I'm just -- here we are again, you know -- David responsible for yet another unspeakable stunt.

Bianca: Oh, come on. Don't take on any of his garbage.

Marissa: Right. Tell me what I can do to help.

Bianca: You're already helping.

Marissa: Mm.

Kendall: Oh, I'm sorry. Sorry. I didn't meant to --

Marissa: Walk into your own living room? It's ok. If anyone should apologize, it should be --

Kendall: Don't you dare. I am so happy for you guys, really. It's obvious you are meant to be together.

[Machine beeping]

Greenlee: Zach, I need you. I need you to wake up. Please don't make me do this. Don't make me decide whether or not to disconnect this thing. Wake up. I know you have it in you. Think about Kendall. Think about Spike. Think about Ian. Think about your family, Zach. Open up your eyes and come back to them.

Bianca: Thanks for coming over.

Marissa: Yeah, but you got a lot to deal with. I'll talk to you later?

Bianca: Yeah, definitely.

Marissa: Ok. Good.

Kendall: Wait, wait, wait. What? You just got here.

Marissa: I know, but I couldn't stay, anyway. I promised A.J. a rematch in "Cars Traffic Jam" before bed. I got to level 7 last time.

Bianca: Wow, that's impressive.

Marissa: I know. I'm pretty good at this. I thought it was pretty good, too. So bye, Kendall.

Kendall: Bye.

Marissa: Bye.

Bianca: I'll call you.

Marissa: Ok. Bye. I'll see you.

Bianca: Bye.

Kendall: I'm sorry.

Bianca: For what?

Kendall: For running Marissa out of here like that. She probably thinks I'm a basket case.

Bianca: No. She doesn't.

Kendall: Well, she should.

Bianca: Hey, you're upset, and it's all my fault. Ok. It was stupid and insensitive of me to bring up Zach.

Kendall: I just can't go there. I can't. It's too much. I thought if anyone would understand that --

Bianca: Ok. I do. I do understand. I know. You want to just move on with your life. I'm sorry if I made it any harder.

Kendall: You didn't. It's already hard enough.

[Beeping]

Greenlee: Oh -- David had me on God knows what kind of drugs, and he must be doing the same thing to you. I will not be responsible for your death twice, ok? This is going to work. You ready? Aah! My God.

David: So this is how you repay me, huh, for making you the doctor you are today?

Ryan: Hey, bingo.

David: Oh, God, would you just give me that, please?

Ryan: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just a second.

David: What the hell are you even looking for?

Ryan: Evidence that you were talking with Greenlee.

David: All right. One last time for the thickheaded -- I don't have a clue as to where she is.

Ryan: Yeah, either that or maybe you just covered your tracks. You can let him go, but if I find out you know where Greenlee is --

David: You know what? Save the threats. You two numbskulls don't even have a clue as to what you're messing with -- people's lives. Angie Hubbard's eyesight is at stake. So the next time you clowns want to play Batman and Robin, you might be wise to remember that.

Tad: Hayward?

Dixie: Uh-huh.

Tad: That son of a bitch had you the entire time?

Dixie: Tad --

Tad: I'll kill him.

Dixie: Tad --

Tad: No. I'll kill him. You know I will, Dixie. I can do it. He can't get away with this, not again, all right? I'm sick of him playing God.

Dixie: Tad --

Tad: Dixie?

Dixie: I -- I don't want to talk about David.

Tad: Ok, ok. Ok. We won't. We won't. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down.

Dixie: It's hard.

Tad: Take a deep breath. Just take deep breaths. You got to -- come here. Come here. Come here. You got to remember your heart, honey. It's all right. It's all right. I've got you. I've got you.

Jake: You ok?

Amanda: Why couldn't she have been like that when I was growing up? You know, then we could've had an actual relationship instead of whatever you want to call what we had.

Jake: I'm glad you had that moment. That was a real moment.

Amanda: But there were so many others. Sometimes you just need your mom.

Jake: Of course. I get it, but, hey, you got me, right? Yesterday, today, always. Step into my office, please, right this way. Table for two?

Amanda: Heh.

Jake: Look. I got a game plan, ok? Hey, you ready? Here it is. You, me, and little Master T., we get together, and we just hang.

Amanda: Master T.?

Jake: Yes. I just came up with that. You like it?

Amanda: I haven't decided yet.

Jake: Oh, you don't like it. Ok. Ha! I know it's hard to feel this, but everything is gonna be all right. So will you do me a solid? Just believe that, ok?

Amanda: I'll try.

Jake: Bring it in. Mm. There's my girl. That's it.

Krystal: So you finished packing for your trip?

Cara: I haven't, actually. I -- oh, man, is the mall open?

Krystal: The mall? Are you kidding me? You got a ferry to catch. Look. No. I'll go raid my closet.

Cara: Oh, no. No, no, no.

Krystal: Oh, come on. I got a lot of cute tops and dresses and stuff. I'll just bring you down a bunch of choices.

Cara: Oh, thank you. No. Please don't do that. It's very nice of you. It's just --

Krystal: But it's a little weird because I'm Tad's ex-wife. Cara, listen to me. Just because it wasn't in the cards for Tad and me, it doesn't mean I don't want him to be happy, and you make him happy.

Cara: I hope so.

Krystal: I know so.

[Tad and Dixie sit together in the park watching the starry night skye]

Griffin: Why would you let him walk out of here like that? We need answers about Greenlee, Dixie Martin, God knows who else.

Ryan: We'll get our answers.

Griffin: How?

Ryan: I wasn't just looking at Hayward's call log. I slipped a GPS tracking chip onto his phone.

Griffin: That's a nice move.

Ryan: He knows exactly where Greenlee is, and now he's gonna lead me directly to her.

Kendall: I want you to go home and kiss your gorgeous girls for me. I mean it, Binks. Seriously, after everything that's happened today, I think I just -- I need to be alone.

Bianca: Are you sure?

Kendall: Positive.

Bianca: Okay. Okay, but call me if you need anything.

Kendall: I will.

Bianca: I mean anything, anything. Especially if Mom or Marian wakes up.

Kendall: Yeah.  Of course, I will.

Bianca: I love you.

Kendall: I love you, too.

Greenlee:  Zach, Zach, it's ok. It's ok. You're safe. Somehow, we're gonna get out of here. You're safe, ok? It's ok.  wait. Oh. Oh! No! No, no, no. Help!
