Erica: Ben! Ben, are you there? Ben, I heard a noise coming from the other side of the closet wall. It was a banging sound. What is that? Hello? Hello? Is somebody else out there?
Jesse: Lucy Hubbard, this is Maya. Maya, this is Lucy.
Angie: This is exciting. Someone new to describe Lucy to me.
Maya: She's so cute. So sweet. I think my phone is vibrating. Would you mind, Chief Hubbard? Thank you.
Jesse: Here you go. There.
Frankie: That might be J.R. I'm gonna make sure he's not being too hard on her for quitting her job. What just happened?
Maya: When I was holding Lucy, I felt like I did when I was holding my baby.
Marissa: Something's happened.
Krystal: Good or bad?
Marissa: Both. I'm in love.
David: I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my days making you a happy woman. So what do you say?
Jane: Yes! Yes!
Frankie: We should talk about this, but not here. Come on.
Angie: I hope there wasn't a problem with J.R.
Maya: No. No problem.
Frankie: Ma, you still feel like getting takeout for dinner?
Angie: You know what? I have the biggest craving for one of Krystal's burgers, if it's all right with you guys.
Jesse: That works for me.
Frankie: Me, too. I'll place the order and pick it up. Maya, feel like taking a ride?
Maya: Yeah. Sure.
Angie: Burgers. They're so good.
Jesse: Frankie, can I talk -- a second?
Maya: I could just go wait in the lobby.
Frankie: You sure?
Frankie: All right.
Jesse: How well do you know this girl?
Frankie: Pretty well. Why?
Jesse: She just seemed a little nervous when she was holding the baby.
Frankie: So did I the first time. Maya's a sweet kid.
Jesse: Yeah, that's all well and good, but I don't want to take any chances with the baby. You know?
Frankie: Maya's been through kind of a rough time lately, but she's a hard worker, and she really could use a break. Besides, I wouldn't recommend her to my own parents if I didn't think she'd do a great job.
Jesse: Just -- just make sure she can handle this, all right? Just talk to her.
Angie: Mommy missed you. Yes, she did. But I got good news. If all goes well, and I have a feeling that it will, I'm gonna be able to see your beautiful face very soon. You're so pretty.
Kendall: Mother, what are you doing?
Jane: David and I are engaged. Isn't it wonderful?
Kendall: No, it's not wonderful. It's insane.
Bianca: Come with us. Why don't we go talk somewhere?
Jane: I'm not going anywhere except maybe somewhere to celebrate with my fiancÚ.
Kendall: Mom, he is manipulating you. How can you not see that? How can you do this to Jack?
Jane: What's wrong with you? Why can't you just be happy for me?
David: For us.
Kendall: Ok. You know what? You're gonna do the talking, because I'm gonna kill someone right now.
Bianca: Ok, Mom, you're not thinking straight. You do not want to marry David.
Jane: Yes, I do. Of course, I do. We're perfect for each other.
Bianca: That's what he wants you to believe, and alienate you from your friends and family and the man you belong with.
Jane: The man I belong with is right here. Now, if you can't accept it --
Kendall: We will never accept it.
Bianca: You're making a huge mistake.
David: I'm very sorry you feel that way.
Jane: They'll get over it. Should we set a date? Should I get my calendar?
David: You know, maybe we need to hold off until your family's on board.
Kendall: Well, you'll be waiting for a cold day in hell. Trust me. This is part of something bigger, David. I know it is. What do you really want?
David: Everything I desire is already in my possession.
Kendall: I don't believe you for a second. No way.
David: You will in time. I'm gonna prove it to you and everyone else in this town. Just wait and see.
Kendall: I'm done waiting. Ok, you son of a bitch --
Jane: That's enough. I love David. I don't want to have to choose between you, but I will.
David: You know, sweetheart, I think we need to cut your family some slack. You know? Give them some time to let this sink in. So why don't we go back to my hotel room, and we can celebrate our engagement?
Jane: Nothing I'd like better.
David: Excuse us.
[David and Jane laugh]
Kendall: We need to stop this.
Bianca: I don't know if we can.
Krystal: Being in love is definitely a good thing when it's with the right person. And maybe, in the end, J.R. is that person.
Marissa: It's not J.R. I didn't see it myself at first, and then when I finally did, I just pushed it out of my mind, because I could not go there. But -- I just couldn't deny it anymore. When I'm with this person, I am happier than I have ever been with anybody else. I couldn't ignore that. I don't want to. I want us to be together.
Krystal: This -- person that makes you so happy. Is it Bianca?
Ben: Were you calling me?
Erica: Yes. Yes. Ben, where have you been?
Ben: If there's no emergency, I'll just --
Erica: No, I asked you a question. What was that noise? Nothing? That's what I get, even though you've heard me pour my heart and soul out into my new book?
Erica: Excuse me?
Ben: The sound you heard was the old water pipes that run through these walls. I panicked because I thought one of them might blow.
Erica: I've never heard that sound before.
Ben: Consider yourself lucky. Anyway, it's taken care of. I -- I've been thinking about your new book. Had a few questions, if you don't mind.
Erica: Why not? I've had worse focus groups.
Ben: Whatever happened with your mother? Did you ever make peace with her?
Erica: No, not completely. She died before I had a chance to say all the things I should've said. Oh, and how I would give anything to turn back time, to say the things to her that I should have said years ago.
Ben: Don't do this to yourself. I didn't mean to upset you.
Erica: No. It's ok. You asked a perfectly valid question. My mother didn't deserve to be treated that way.
Ben: And you don't deserve to hold on to all this guilt. You're a good person, Erica. Let it go.
Erica: That's kind of ironic coming from you, Ben. Considering what you're doing, holding on to all your guilt. Ben, you're helping Jane steal my life.
Marissa: I can't believe you knew.
Krystal: I didn't know, but I had a feeling. The way you two just -- were together.
Marissa: Deep down, I knew that J.R. and I weren't right for each other. And I kind of see why. She was the first to admit it. An attraction. I pretended that it was one-sided, but it wasn't. I was just scared. I still am.
Krystal: Of course. I know this is big, and it's new, and I'm sure you did not see it coming.
Marissa: But isn't it exactly what I've been looking for? A person who understands me and supports me. Makes me laugh. Someone who's good and honest. I guess I just couldn't go with it, because of what I thought it would make me, but, you know, it doesn't really make me anything. I'm still the same person. I'm just in love with a woman.
Krystal: Not just any woman. Bianca is something special.
Marissa: Yeah. She really is. What if I wanted the traditional, picture-perfect family so much that I've been forcing it, going after a life that I didn't really want?
Krystal: You know, there are no guarantees in life and definitely not in love. But looking at you now, honey, you just seem at peace. You do, in a way that you never were with J.R.
Marissa: Well, that's -- I mean, with J.R., I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I was never sure that there wasn't some lie that was about to blow up in my face.
Krystal: Well, you don't have to worry about that with Bianca.
Marissa: No, but there are a ton of other things that I'm gonna have to worry about. Like how I'm going to explain this to everybody.
Krystal: Oh, no. You do not have to worry about that.
Marissa: Really? I don't think everyone's going to be as accepting as you are.
Krystal: No. No, they're not. Not everyone is gonna accept this. Not everyone is gonna have an open mind, but I don't give a damn and you shouldn't, either. Honey, you have every right to be happy. And that look on your face right now -- that says happy. And anybody who really cares about you, they're gonna want that for you.
Jesse: So did anything happen with Hayward today?
Angie: Nothing unusual. Why do you ask?
Jesse: Well, you said you might be able to see Lucy soon, but you haven't actually made any progress, have you?
Angie: Yes, I have. You know, the scarring on my retina wasn't as bad as originally thought. And I've also responded positively to the immunosuppressants which prevents infection. All very promising signs.
Jesse: Promising. But I haven't heard anything definite yet.
Angie: David never gave me a guarantee.
Jesse: Yeah. Figures. So he can cover his ass.
Angie: Jesse, look. I still have my doubts about David.
Jesse: Maybe it's not too late to back out before he hurts you even further.
Angie: He doesn't want to hurt me.
Jesse: How do you know that? You don't know that.
Angie: Yes. I do. David showed me something today that I've suspected all along.
Angie: He's human.
Jane: We're getting married! Oh, I can't wait! We have so much to think about! We have so much to plan. We have to pick a place. We have to set a date. My dress. I don't care what anybody says, I am absolutely wearing white. I mean, this may not be Erica Kane's first trip down the aisle, but it is certainly mine! Ha! And of course, we'll have pink roses, and we should have a wine bar, and a champagne waterfall, and a dessert table as far as the eye can see.
David: All right, stop.
Jane: Oh. I'm just getting started. This is the wedding of my dreams.
David: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but that's not gonna happen.
Kendall: Hi. Wow. What are those for?
Griffin: I thought you might like them.
Kendall: They're beautiful. Thank you. Maybe if I was feeling crappy or really crappy, they would make me feel better, but I don't think flowers are gonna help this. Thank you, though.
Griffin: Is this about what happened in the park? Kendall, I told you I understood why you brought up Zach.
Kendall: No, no, it's not about that.
Griffin: What's wrong?
Kendall: It's ugly and scary and seriously horrible.
Griffin: I think I can handle it.
Kendall: Do you want to?
Griffin: Why don't you let me decide that for myself? What is so ugly and scary and horrible?
Frankie: My father delivered Lucy himself, and he was with my mom the entire time. Now, this feeling you have when you held Lucy? You know she isn't your baby, right?
Maya: Yes. I know. Of course, I know. I never said that I felt Lucy was my baby. Just -- when I held her, it was like I had been waiting to feel that little girl in my arms. You think I'm crazy, huh?
Frankie: Giving up a baby -- it makes sense you still would have feelings about that.
Maya: I'm sorry I freaked you out.
Frankie: You didn't. But babysitting for Lucy -- I don't think that's a good idea anymore.
Maya: I need to get out of the Chandlers' place, and I can't do that unless I have something lined up.
Frankie: I don't think you're ready.
Maya: I know that it was the right choice for me to give up my baby. But it's still hard.
Frankie: Being around Lucy might make it harder.
Maya: No, it won't. It'll just help me. Just like you said it helped your wife when she lost her baby. I will take the best care of her. Trust me.
Angie: You know, at my appointment today, David opened up to me in a way that caught me completely off guard. You have no idea the kind of pain he's been through.
Jesse: I don't care what kind of pain that man has been through.
Angie: Jesse, he opened up to me about things about his childhood, trauma he endured.
Jesse: He is playing you.
Angie: Look, all I'm saying is that there is more to the man than I realized.
Jesse: You know what? David Hayward himself doesn't even think he's human. I mean, ok, he thinks he's God, he can mess with people's lives whenever and however he wants to and just walk away.
Angie: But there is a reason behind what he does.
Angie: Jesse, do you know that David had to bury his daughter right after she was born? Can you even imagine what it would be like for any person to have to do something like that?
Jane: You propose and then you take it back?
David: No. Of course, you can have your wedding. All right? But it just can't be a royal one. If it's way over the top, no one would even buy it, ok? So we just gotta keep it simple. All right?
Jane: But we're still getting married?
[Cell phone ringing]
David: Yes? Again? I told you I wanted you to take care of this. All right. All right, I'm on my way. I gotta go.
Jane: Where are you going? I mean, you just kissed me, and we haven't even talked about our honeymoon yet.
David: We will talk. Ok? I promise.
Jane: Ok. Ha! Aah! I'm getting married! Oh! To a doctor!
Ben: I couldn't turn my back on Jane. When she lost her daughter in that car accident, an accident that I caused, she didn't want to go on living.
Erica: So you offer some support, your friendship. Hold her hand while she's going through that process of grieving. But you don't offer your services as a kidnapping accomplice.
Ben: She didn't want a friend. She wanted to erase it. All of it.
Erica: Losing her daughter in the accident, that was tragic. But now she's taken my daughters from me and my fiancÚ and everyone who cares about me and who I care about. She's out there living a fantasy that's bound to come crashing down on her. But I'm being held here as a prisoner.
Ben: Stop! Stop talking.
Erica: Please, Ben. Please give me back my life.
Ben: What Jane and I have done to you -- it's wrong.
Erica: Then please, Ben. Please let me go.
Marissa: I am so terrified. But I'm excited. And I'm happy. Did I mention also that I'm terrified? Terrified.
Krystal: It must be true love, then.
Marissa: So I don't know what happens next.
Krystal: Honey, you've done the most important things. I mean, you -- you've been honest with yourself. And Bianca knows how you feel. That's huge. That takes a lot of courage.
Marissa: You're really ok with this?
Krystal: I am more than ok with it. Whatever you need, I'm gonna be there for you. Except for right now, because I think I'm burning my corn bread. I gotta go. But --
Marissa: Thank you. It's ok. Go ahead. Go ahead. Hi. Is everything ok with your mom?
Bianca: No. No, it's bad. It's really bad.
Marissa: How can I help?
Bianca: You already are.
Angie: Ever since I went blind, you have been so loving and so supportive. But when you get this worked up about me working with David, it makes me wonder if it's because he's helping me in a way that you can't.
Jesse: Angela --
Angie: No, Jesse, let me finish. I know that you wish that -- with everything that you have that you could give me my sight back. But sweetheart, you've already given me something that means so much more. You gave me Lucy.
[Knocking on door]
Jesse: Oh, here, baby. I got that. Ok, you got her?
Angie: Where's Dad? Where's Daddy?
Jesse: I was about to send out a patrol car looking for you. Where you been?
Brot: Do you know how many kinds of diapers there are? I had harder missions in Iraq.
Frankie: Ladies and gentlemen, your burgers have arrived.
Angie: Oh, it's about time. I'm starved. Listen, Jesse, will you and Frankie go and get some extra chairs?
Brot: I'll give you a hand. Let's go.
Maya: Yes, Dr. Hubbard. I'm right there.
Angie: Please. Angie. Listen, after we eat, I'm gonna give you some basics about caring for Lucy, ok? Bottle, diapers, nursery setup.
Maya: Sounds great. Would it be ok if I held her again?
Angie: Yeah. Sure. You want to go to Maya?
Maya: Hi. Hi, little Lucy. It's me -- Maya.
Angie: I think she likes you. You seem to be a natural with babies.
Griffin: I cannot believe that David -- David asked your mother to marry him.
Kendall: If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it, either.
Griffin: It doesn't make any sense.
Kendall: Yeah. You're telling me.
Griffin: No, no, no. I just talked to Dr. H and he gave me this whole lecture about how important it is to stay focused on our work. No distractions, no personal involvement with anybody.
Kendall: But he's not personally involved. He doesn't care about my mother. He's using her to get whatever it is he really wants.
Griffin: I've been saying what I said I'd do. I've been keeping my eyes open around Dr. H.
Kendall: You should've seen the way she was talking about him. It was like the only thing she cared about was David. It was a nightmare.
Griffin: A proposal takes this to a whole other level.
Kendall: I want to find out the truth. I want the truth about why he's really doing this.
Griffin: I'm gonna see what I can find out.
Kendall: No, Griffin, you don't have to do that.
Griffin: For you, I'm gonna make the exception.
Erica: You're a good man, Ben. Please do the right thing and set me free.
Ben: All right.
Erica: Thank you. Thank you, Ben. Thank you. And I swear to you, when the police talk to me, I will not incriminate you. I won't even mention you.
Ben: What about Jane?
Erica: Listen to me, Ben. As soon as you get me out of here, you gotta run. Run as fast and as far as you can and never look back.
Ben: I can't run. I can't desert Jane.
Jane: But you can betray me. Again. You were actually about to let her go.
Ben: We have to stop this. It's not right.
Jane: You're a traitor. A traitor and a coward.
Ben: It's Erica's life. Not yours. You need to stop this.
Jane: Shut up. There's no way in hell I'm stopping now. Not when I'm about to marry the man of my dreams. I'm gonna have a perfect life. I'm gonna have it all.
Erica: You are completely insane if you actually think that Jack would marry you.
Jane: Not Jack. David Hayward.
Maya: Oh, my God. Lucy just smiled at me.
Angie: I told you she likes you.
Brot: Looks like your little girl has a new fan.
Jesse: Yeah, Maya's gonna be our new babysitter.
Brot: No worries, Chief. I'll be sure to give her the lowdown on picking out diapers.
Frankie: We should see if she can work nights once in a while. Next time Natalia's in town, we could all go out for dinner.
Brot: Ah. We can try that Thai place. You like spicy food, Chief?
Frankie: Dad? We were saying next time Nat's in town, maybe Maya could keep the baby. That way, we all could go out for dinner.
Jesse: That's a maybe.
Angie: Lucy loves to sleep in her stroller.
Maya: Maybe we should take her for a walk in the park sometime.
Angie: Oh, I'd like that. Would you like that, Luce? Huh? Want to go for a walk in the park?
[Maya remembers giving up her baby and crying]
Marissa: Unbelievable. After everything David has done, he is still torturing people.
Bianca: You should have seen my Uncle Jack's face when my mom declared her love for David.
Marissa: Let me talk to David.
Marissa: Bianca --
Bianca: No. No, I'm not letting you get sucked into this.
Marissa: I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
Bianca: You have no idea how many times I've wanted to do that. Just reach across the table and take your hand. But I was --
Marissa: Scared. So was I. Right up until the moment that you walked in here. But now that you're here, with me, I'm not afraid anymore.
Krystal: I am sure glad to hear that.
Bianca: You know?
Krystal: I know. And I couldn't be happier. All I've ever wanted is for my girl to be with someone that she truly loves, and I can see that she is. So what more could a mama hope for? Huh?
Kendall: I appreciate so much that you care, but I don't want you fighting another battle with David.
Griffin: I already am. You're worried about your mother. Let me see what I can do to protect her.
Kendall: Ok. Thank you for the flowers. Thank you, thank you.
Griffin: Anytime. David? It's Dr. Castillo. I heard you're engaged to Erica Kane. I want to hear all about it, face to face. Don't even try playing me. I want the truth. You owe me.
Ben: You're not serious about marrying this man?
Jane: I most certainly am. David says we are gonna be the power couple to end all power couples.
Erica: It's not enough that you slept with this creep? You have to marry him?
Jane: David asked and I said yes. Kendall and Bianca weren't too thrilled when he popped the question, but they'll come around.
Jane: Don't be jealous. You had your chance to walk down the aisle. Ten chances. Now it's my turn.
Erica: You still don't get this, do you? You think because you have my face, my clothes, that makes you me. Not even close. You don't have a clue as to who I really am. Isn't that right, Ben?
Jane: No one on this planet knows more about Erica Kane than I do.
Erica: From books and magazines and stupid TV interviews at red carpet events. You know my face, but you have never walked in my shoes. You've never had the experiences that have led me to become me. Those are mine. Those are only mine.
Jane: I'm sorry I busted up your escape plan, but this is the happiest day of my life and nothing you can say is going to ruin it.
Erica: You see, that's another huge difference between you and me. Because I would never be so stupid as to let David Hayward manipulate me like that.
Jane: No, I'm not stupid. David loves me. And I won't lose him.
Erica: You don't have him. How could you lose him? It's all a con, Jane. He's gonna use you, and then he's gonna dump you so fast your head is gonna spin.
Jane: You're wrong. This is real. I am going to marry a brilliant, powerful man, and I'm gonna have a fabulous, classy life, and you won't take that away from me.
Erica: How can I take something from you that is not yours, Jane? You have had such a sexually deprived existence it's made you such easy prey.
Jane: I don't have to listen to this. I'm leaving.
Ben: Jane. Wait. This -- David person. Whoever he is. He's not the only man who's ever loved you. I love you. Don't go back to him. I love you, Jane. I didn't think you'd ever want to hear that after what I've done. But I'm telling you now because I'm afraid I could lose you. All this has to stop, or you'll get caught and you'll go to prison, and I can't let that happen. I have to help you face the truth, make you see that you'll never be Erica Kane. I want you to listen to something. It's gonna help you understand. The recording device on the console. Press play. Please, Jane? Just listen.
[Jane presses button]
Erica's voice: The dictation of my new memoir. The title is "Erica Kane: Uncensored." I will reveal everything there is to know about me. No holding back. I want to be special, and I'm going to be. My advisor at school says that I'm really talented, and I should major in drama.
Mona: I suggest that you stick to acting and stop trying to rewrite history.
Erica: Mother, I am perfectly capable of leading my own life. When I decide on a man, he's gonna have success written all over him before our marriage even starts. I do not need a man to be happy.
Mona: You've certainly married enough of them.
Erica: I, Erica, take you, Tom, to be my husband. I want to get married. Tonight.
Officiant: Dear friends, we have come together to witness the marriage of Erica Kane Chandler and Michael Roy.
Adam: Come on. Don't stop now. Pronounce us married. We've got a plane to catch.
Officiant: Will you have Travis to be your wedded husband?
Erica: I will.
David: I want to propose to you, damn it.
Erica: There are three wonderful men in this room tonight who love me. Travis.
Judge: Erica Kane, I hereby sentence you to one year in county lockup.
Jack: I love you.
Greenlee: You asked if anyone objects to this union. Well, I do.
Erica: Greenlee --
Greenlee: I object to you, Erica, in so many ways.
Erica: When I am standing at that altar, and I am looking into Jack's eyes, it's gonna be that much sweeter. Bianca Christine Montgomery. Do you know how much Bianca has hurt me?
Jack: Erica, being gay is not something that Bianca's doing to hurt you.
Kendall: Hello, Erica.
Erica: I see you, Kendall. Only you. Only you, honey, the daughter that I love. And you, Bianca, I love you. I love you both.
Myrtle: You are going to go places, you hear? And we're going to be with you every step of the way. My girl.
Erica: Pine Valley isn't exactly the corner of Hollywood and Vine.
Director: Trying to make a movie here.
Erica: My movie?
Director: Not just your movie, Erica. Your life.
