Greenlee: That was nice -- too nice to waste.
Ryan: What are you doing?
Greenlee: I'm gonna call Randi. She can handle Fusion. I want to spend the rest of the day with you.
Ryan: Hold on.
Greenlee: Oh, yeah, I'm planning on holding onto something all day. Are you ok with that?
Ryan: No, actually, I'm not.
Tad: And there she is. Good morning, my hot habaņero. When I was upstairs, I had a flash of inspiration. What do you say -- it's your only day off this week -- we take a nice long walk down by the lake in the park? We could take a picnic lunch, commune with nature. And while we're there, we could always do a little skinny dipping, traumatize some squirrels.
Tad: Exactly. What? What's with the face? What happened?
Tad: I don't get it. Everything was going so great. Why would Griffin do something like this?
Cara: We -- thank you -- always knew he was gonna leave Pine Valley. I just --
Tad: I know. I'm sorry. God, I'm so sorry. I know he's --
Cara: He's family.
Tad: I'm family, too. I'm not going anywhere.
Kendall: I can't let you go -- until you give me your e-mail address in Chile.
Griffin: It's called the world wide web. You can use my e-mail address.
Kendall: Right. Right! Right. Of course. Great.
Griffin: But I want more than just the occasional e-mail. I want you to keep me posted on your medical condition. Ok?
Kendall: Ok. I can do that.
Griffin: And I want to hear about how the new Miranda Center's coming along. And I want to be updated on my sister. And I want pictures of your boys and of you.
Kendall: Yes, and I would love the same. I'd like some pictures, too.
Griffin: You'll have to settle for an e-mail. I don't have a camera.
Kendall: What? No, we can't have that. Actually, you know what? Take mine. Take mine. Just --
Kendall: No! It's ok.
Griffin: I can't do that.
Kendall: It's all right. I have copies of everything that's on here, ok? I want you to have it. Let me show you how it works. It's really easy. It's easy! It is. Let me show you. All right. All you do -- first, you got to turn it on. That would help. And then you just point -- here, get close -- and then -- check it out, like that -- and then press. Ooh. That's -- ha ha!
Griffin: Yeah. Real nice.
Kendall: You like that? How long are we gonna dance around it? One of us has to figure out how to really say good-bye.
Griffin: I'm no good at saying good-byes.
Kendall: You aren't, like, good at saying hello either.
Griffin: Yes! Yeah.
[Phone stops ringing]
Kendall: Ok. So where were we?
Griffin: Um, I think you were going to -- ha ha ha!
Kendall: Yeah, take our picture. Yes. Ok. I think it's on. Yes. Ooh. No. Ok, ok. All right. Here we go. Get in close. Ok, here we go. See? Hmm! Pretty easy, huh? Just point and shoot.
Griffin: Got it.
Kendall: Ok, so just take the camera. Take it!
Griffin: Ok. Thank you.
Kendall: You've meant a lot to me, coming into my life when you did, when I needed someone.
Griffin: You've been a real experience.
Kendall: Good-bye, Griff.
Griffin: Bye. Thank you.
Greenlee: I thought we were finally getting to a good place.
Ryan: We are. But you know what? We have been very distracted lately, right, and it's time to get back on track. You've got a lot of work to do at Fusion, and I've got a lot of work to do tracking down David and figuring all that out.
Greenlee: But I thought we were doing that together.
Ryan: Do you have a lot of work to do at Fusion or don't you?
Greenlee: You know I do.
Ryan: Ok! So you got to do what you got to do, and I'm gonna do what I have to do. Ok? Ok? And don't worry, because by the end of the day, this is all gonna make perfect sense. Ok? No.
Tad: I don't want to oversimplify anything, and I'm not saying there's a bright side, but if Griffin chose to leave town, it's not because he had to. He's no longer a wanted man. He's clear of all the charges.
Tad: He's not stuck there on the other side of the world. Yeah. Hi, Ryan. What's up?
Ryan: I need you, Tad, like, now.
Tad: No, it's not a very good time. I'm sorry. I'm just gonna have to call you back when I --
Ryan: Look, I hate to pressure you, I really do, but my life's a little bit on the line right now. So just come over. Ok?
Tad: Yeah. All right. Ok. Fine. I'll be right there. I'm so sorry. I got to go. Something's wrong with Ryan. He says his life's on the line.
Cara: Oh. What's going on?
Tad: I don't know, but I'm gonna find out. I have to.
Cara: This doesn't sound good. You should call Jesse.
Tad: No. I'll be fine. I promise. It's nice to know that you care.
Cara: Be careful.
Randi: Hey. I was just texting you. We've got a problem: Madison. She's late, and she's not returning any of my messages.
Greenlee: Oh, great.
Randi: She left our place before I even woke up. I hope nothing happened to her.
Greenlee: You know something? We don't need any more drama around here. I think it's time we found a replacement. I'm gonna make a phone call.
Madison: Sorry I'm late!
Greenlee: I think we need to talk.
Madison: In a minute, ok? When you hear why I'm late and what I've been doing, you're gonna give me a raise! What?
Tad: Whatever the hell Hayward is up to, we're gonna find our way around it.
Ryan: Yeah, but --
Tad: No buts, ok? I'm serious. In the past when he was going after Dixie, when he was going after Krystal, he had all the cards. It's not the case now, ok? My life is better than it's been in years. He messes with you, he messes with me, and I'm up for a fight. So what is it? I sincerely hope that's not necessary.
Ryan: Oh, I think it is. Absolutely.
Tad: A butterfly?
Ryan: Yeah. It's kind of a thing between Greenlee and me. It's an antique, so we got something old. All I need now is something new, borrowed, and blue. I want you to marry Greenlee and me -- today.
Tad: A wedding? A wedding? That's your big emergency? That's what's got your life on the line?
Ryan: Yes, it is my life -- my life with Greenlee. Come on, Tad, we should be married by now. We should be. You know that, and you married Jake and Amanda, right?
Tad: Yeah. So?
Ryan: And you still got to have that license. It's still valid, right?
Tad: Of course, it is, but it's Greenlee. We're talking about Greenlee. You think she's gonna want a wedding like that?
Ryan: Actually, she doesn't really know about it yet.
Ryan: Hey, I just came up with the idea! You know, and -- yeah. Ok, so we've had a lot of ups and downs. But I know without a doubt that she is the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with, so why are we waiting? Life is short. We got to do this. We got to grab all the happiness we can while we can. Am I right?
Tad: Yeah. That sounds good. No argument from me about that. Ok. Fine.
Ryan: So are you in?
Tad: Yeah, of course, I'm in. Just don't expect me to bake a cake or arrange flowers.
Ryan: Not a bad idea, but, no. You just marry us, and I'll take care of the rest, ok? In the meantime, you can just sort of figure out what you're gonna say about us. Make me sound good. I got stuff to do.
Tad: I have to write?
Ryan: Yeah. I'll be back.
Tad: Thaddeus, Thaddeus, Thaddeus. How the hell do you get yourself wrapped up in all this?
Tad's voice: I'll be proud to call you my wife. I promise to honor and cherish and protect it.
Cara: Tad, you are sweet. You are kind. I can honestly say I thank God for you, and I promise you I will every day.
Tad's voice: I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow. With all that I am and all that I have, I honor you in the name of God.
Greenlee: Is this some sort of caffeine high? Too many energy drinks?
Randi: Madison, you've been working way too hard.
Greenlee: The mother-and-baby line is starting to move.
Madison: I know, I know. I know, and even though that line was my idea, I need to leave that now and move on.
Greenlee: Is this some kind of escape?
Madison: No. No escape. I owe it to my daughter to be the kind of woman that she'd be proud of. That's why I'm trying to come up with something new.
Greenlee: Ok. Then let's hear some of your ideas.
Madison: I haven't found just "it" quite yet, but I will. I know I will. It's right there. It's just right out of reach. You think I'm kidding myself, don't you?
Greenlee: No, that's not it at all.
Madison: I can see it written all over your faces, you and Randi, both of you sitting there thinking, "She's never gonna come up with something new. She's all smoke and no fire." Go ahead, Greenlee, say it: "Same old Madison."
Greenlee: I only have one thing to say to you, Madison -- shut up.
Cara's voice: I know it hasn't been easy, and, still, you've been there for me and you stood by me. I will always remember this.
Griffin: You're an angel.
Cara: You're the angel. No! It always drove me crazy when you would destroy them! Stop it!
Griffin: Why do you think I'm still doing it?
Cara: Ha ha ha! There you have it. You were the fun part of my childhood.
Griffin: You got dealt a lousy hand -- always sick, in and out of hospitals. I just did what I could to make up for it.
Ryan: Hey, Kendall. Call me. It's Ryan. Give me a call when you get this, please. I would like you to be a witness at our wedding today. And, yes, you heard me correctly. It is today. And don't tell Greenlee, ok, because it's a surprise. Nothing? You can't --
Tad: I'm -- give me --
Emma: Hi, Dad. Spike hid all my dolls, and he won't tell me where.
Ryan: Huh. Hey, come here. I want to talk to you. Just the person I need to see. I need your help. You know that Greenlee and I love each other, right? And even though you and Greenlee haven't been getting along so great lately, you know that she loves you very, very, very, very, very, very much?
Emma: I know.
Ryan: You guys actually have a lot in common. Do you know that?
Emma: Like arguing?
Tad: Heh heh heh!
Ryan: Like -- ahem! Yes, you're both very good arguers. But it's because you're so passionate about life and about the people in your life. And I -- I just feel so grateful to be one of those people, for us to be a family together.
Emma: And Spike, too, when he's not being a brat.
Ryan: Absolutely. And I'm getting to the part where I need your help. So I'm a guy, right, which means I don't know very much about planning parties.
Emma: But I do.
Ryan: Yes, you do. Absolutely. And I thought because Greenlee so badly wants to be part of our family, I thought maybe it would be nice if we got married again in, like, kind of a family surprise wedding for when she gets home.
Emma: And have a wedding party?
Ryan: Yes! Exactly! It'll be great, right?
Emma: We're going to need flowers.
Ryan: Flowers. Yes, we are. Which is good, because Mrs. Vernon says that you and Spike can go down and you can pick whichever ones you think are nice.
Emma: Greenlee loves purple.
Emma: Don't worry, Daddy. I'll help you make the best surprise wedding ever.
Ryan: I knew I could count on you.
Greenlee: Stop apologizing for being you. You do a better job putting yourself down than I ever could. And stop bracing for some kind of smackdown that isn't coming. The fact is I did think about letting you go -- until you came in all pumped up working on new ideas.
Madison: That changed your mind, even though I don't have a whole game plan yet?
Greenlee: You got to start somewhere. So do it. Start working on that new look. That's what this business is all about, the next new look.
Madison: Thank you. Um, I didn't expect your support after everything that's gone down.
Greenlee: I don't know about you, but I don't want to go back there.
Madison: Neither do I.
Greenlee: Ok, then. So get busy.
Madison: All right.
Randi: You were great with her.
Greenlee: Keep an eye on her.
Emma: Hi, Greenlee. It's me, Emma.
Greenlee: Hi, honey.
Emma: Listen, I need you to come home right now.
Greenlee: Are you ok?
Ryan: [Whispering] Tell her your hamster. Your hamster.
Emma: I'm fine. It's about Harvey, my hamster. He's sick.
Greenlee: I'm glad you called me. I'll be there as soon as I'm finished up here at work.
Emma: No, no, no, no. I need you right now.
Greenlee: Ok. Tell Harvey to hang on. I'll be home as soon as I can. I have to leave. I have a date with a hamster.
Emma: Did I do ok?
Ryan: [Normal voice] You were awesome! You were fantastic. Now we got to move. Get Spike and get some flowers, ok?
Emma: Ok. I'll see you soon.
Ryan: Ok. Now I need my bride. I think it took longer to write the Bible.
Tad: Shut up, o ye of little faith. This has got to be perfect.
Ryan: It doesn't have to be perfect. It's got to be genuine and truthful and honest.
Tad: We're still talking about marriage, right?
Ryan: Hey, you keep those jokes out of there, ok? Save those till after the wedding, please.
Tad: I'm just a little nervous. Nothing like being put on the spot.
Ryan: You're nervous?
Ryan: That's supposed to be my job. Look, you got married not too long ago, right?
Ryan: So you and Cara -- you guys are doing well.
Tad: Yeah, absolutely. Better than I ever would've thought possible.
Ryan: So then draw some inspiration from that, please.
Tad: I'm trying!
Emma: Hi, Dad. Is Greenlee here yet?
Ryan: Not yet. No, she's not here just yet, but she will be, and she's always late. And you guys -- we don't have much time, so go get ready, ok? Go get cleaned up a little bit. Good job. These are nice!
Tad: Ryan, stop. She'll be here.
Greenlee: Oh, damn it.
Jack: You ok?
Greenlee: I'm fine, I'm fine.
Greenlee: Except I have a little girl impatiently waiting for me at home for hamster medicine, and my cell phone is dead.
Jack: And that's funny why?
Greenlee: I guess I know what it's like to be a working mother now.
Jack: Ah. Be careful what you wish for. But look at you. So nice to see you in good spirits.
Greenlee: I am. I'm really, really grateful for what I have.
Greenlee: You're partly responsible for that, you know.
Jack: Really? How's that?
Greenlee: When I was complaining to you about Ryan and Madison and Emma, you said that if you love someone, you don't have to keep them all to yourself.
Jack: And here I didn't think you listened to that.
Greenlee: Yeah, I did, finally. Ryan and I are in a really, really good place, so thank you.
Jack: My pleasure.
Madison: It's been a while since I had a babysitter.
Randi: Just looking at how you're blending colors.
Madison: Yeah, right. Has nothing to do with the fact that the boss lady told you to keep tabs on me.
Randi: We all want to make sure that you're ok.
Madison: Relax, ok, because I'm not gonna jump out a window or mess up any products.
Randi: You know, you can't blame Greenlee for --
Madison: I used to blame her for everything -- for losing Ryan, messing up my relationship with Scott.
Randi: You could also be a little nicer to him.
Madison: It's more than just Scott, or Ryan. It seems I've spent my whole life trying to please a man, and every time that fails, I lash out and someone gets hurt -- or worse.
Randi: Madison, that was different. Your husband was abusing you. Madison?
Madison: That whole chapter is over. What I'm doing here right now at Fusion -- this is about me and about honoring my daughter.
Randi: A new look?
Madison: It's more than a new look. It's a whole new attitude. So stop waiting for me to freak out and help me find that dark rose blush!
Griffin: So the flight's gonna be on time? Ok. Thank you.
[Knock on door]
Griffin: It's open.
Cara: I like the text message.
Griffin: Always been lousy at good-byes.
Cara: Why don't you stop packing and take a look at me, please?
Griffin: That's the other reason I texted you.
Griffin: I didn't want you to talk me out of leaving.
Cara: A few months ago, yeah, I might've done that.
Griffin: And now?
Cara: Things are different, right? I got the whole Immigration issue.
Griffin: And there's Tad.
Cara: There is Tad.
Griffin: Which is the other reason I can leave. I know you're gonna be ok.
Cara: Ok. I'm gonna miss you, of course. And I know you're gonna miss me like crazy. Where'd you get that?
Griffin: That's just a gift from --
Griffin: It's just from a patient.
Cara: Oh. Yeah. Just a patient, huh?
Ryan: Still haven't heard from Greenlee. Hasn't responded to any of my texts or answered her messages or anything, which is -- truthfully, she's horrible at keeping her cell phone charged up. What's the point of having a cell phone --
Tad: Who cares? Would you shut up? Please! I'm under the gun here, ok? Enough with the nervous jitters. Everything is gonna be fine. I know Greenlee. She's gonna burst through that door any minute. Stripper's here.
Ryan: Wow. Hey, hi. Glad you're able to get my message.
Kendall: What message? I'm here to pick up Spike. What? You were hoping I was the pizza man?
Tad: A stripper with a pizza -- my day is made.
Ryan: How would you like to be the witness at a wedding?
Jack: Jack Montgomery.
Ryan: Hey, Jack, it's Ryan. Do you know where Greenlee is?
Jack: Yeah. As a matter of fact, I do.
Ryan: Is she with you?
Ryan: Ok, I want you to keep this subtle, but could you guys get over here ASAP?
Jack: Sure. What's going on?
Ryan: We're getting married.
Jack: You -- when?
Ryan: Now. She just doesn't know it yet.
Jack: Ok. I'm all over it.
Greenlee: Is anything wrong?
Jack: No. Nothing that's gonna interrupt me spending some time with my daughter, that's for sure. What do you say I walk you home, huh? Let's go.
Ryan: Yeah, I was angry with her, but I couldn't stay angry, because I knew that we were gonna end up together, right? So why wait? Time to make it legal, real. Wow.
Kendall: Oh, my goodness!
Spike: Mom, Mom, there's gonna be a wedding!
Kendall: I know, honey! I know. Isn't it great?
Emma: I'm helping my daddy make everything look really pretty.
Kendall: I can see that. It looks absolutely beautiful. These flowers look amazing. Let me help you with these.
Tad: As a matter of fact, I need you guys to help me, because we -- come on -- we got some practicing to do.
Kendall: Ok. Ahem.
Ryan: What's going on?
Kendall: With me? Nothing.
Ryan: I know you, Kendall. Something's going on. Something happen between you and Greenlee?
Kendall: No, no. We're exactly where we should be -- back to being best friends.
Ryan: Ok. So then what is it? Is it the wedding? Is it bringing up some memories?
Kendall: Nothing but good memories, Ryan. I love weddings, and I love you and Greenlee. I don't know. I guess I'm just a little nostalgic lately. All the people I care about are getting exactly what they want.
Griffin: All right, so it's Kendall's camera.
Cara: It's an expensive camera. She gave it to you, huh? Here's one of her and her boys, and then -- wait. There's one of her and her sister.
Griffin: All right --
Cara: No, no, no. And hold on a second here. This is sweet. This is us and Tad at the wedding. You could make a scrapbook out of these photos.
Griffin: Ok, so I have -- history here in Pine Valley. So do you. The only difference is you have a future here with Tad.
Cara: We have come a long way since the wedding.
Griffin: I know you're trying to figure out if it can be a real marriage.
Cara: You got to put your whole self into it, and in some ways, that takes more courage than anything we ever did on the battlefield. So -- don't let anything happen to you, ok?
Griffin: You take care of yourself, too, Caracita.
Cara: Go get 'em.
Randi: Wow! You look awesome.
Madison: Hmm. It's good. It's not quite it yet.
Randi: Ok. Define "it" for me.
Madison: Bold, daring, willing to take chances.
Randi: We talking about the makeup, or we talking about you?
Madison: Maybe both.
Greenlee: I love my dad walking me home. It's like the walk to school we never got to share.
Jack: Yeah, I have a lot to make up for. Maybe this is the first day of that, huh?
Spike: Surprise! It's a wedding!
Emma: I picked the flowers.
Greenlee: Whose wedding?
Ryan: Ours. What do you say?
Tad: As in "speak now or forever hold your peace."
Ryan: I'll take that as a "Yes."
Tad: What the heck. When I started thinking -- I'm sorry -- about what I wanted to say -- because we've been working on this for a couple hours -- no matter how much I wanted to torture him for putting me on the spot, it wasn't the laughs that came to mind. It was the love, because that's why we're here. That's what's most important. There's a lot of it in this room, because I think we're all aware of the love that we have for each other. We're all aware of the things that we've done for love.
Emma: I picked all the flowers.
Spike: I gave Emma back her dolls.
Tad: That's terrific, Spike. That's a very, very loving thing to do. That's a very good start. Because when you get older and you get married, you're gonna find out even more about love. You're gonna find out that being married is the greatest kind of love there is. It's sacred. Being married is about sharing and protecting. It's about being wanted and needed, about being loved through good times and bad, and Lord knows Ryan and Greenlee have seen enough of those. Somehow you two have come through it together. And as I look at you now, I believe that you've never been more in love. So do you have anything to say to your bride-to-be?
Ryan: I do love you more now than I ever have before, ever. And that's saying a lot because I have loved you so much. And people talk about soul mates, and I don't think until you have one you really know what that means.
Greenlee: Hey, Ryan. This seat taken?
Ryan: It is now.
Ryan's voice: But I know. I know exactly what a soul mate is --
Greenlee: It's perfect.
Ryan: You're perfect for me.
Ryan's voice: Even when we've been apart.
Greenlee: We danced here, right here. You were a little tall, but we worked it out. It smelled so nice that night.
Ryan: And the music was kind of playing off in the distance, and we got close.
Greenlee: Ryan, yes.
Ryan: Was it anything like this?
Ryan's voice: It's always been you. I have always been deeply connected to you.
Ryan's voice: Just you.
Greenlee: I know how you feel. All the things that tried to keep us apart, they never really could.
Ryan: I got you. I got you. I'm back. I'm back, always.
Greenlee: And no matter how I tried to stay away, I couldn't.
Ryan: Why don't you let me help you, ok?
Greenlee: Don't just help me. Start the damn thing.
Ryan: I can't believe you're here.
Greenlee: I can. This is what I was talking about -- you, me --
Ryan: Push, pull --
Greenlee: And somehow we always end up -- you like it?
Ryan: You're the most astonishing woman that I have ever laid eyes on.
Greenlee: This is real love, isn't it?
Ryan: Mm-hmm. And nothing has ever felt better.
Ryan's voice: Every dream that we've ever had, we'll live it. And for every time that I've hurt you, I will love you a thousand times over. Will you marry me?
Greenlee: It's always been you. I've always been deeply connected to you. Just you.
Tad: That being said, would you like to exchange the rings? By the power vested in me, it's my honor and my privilege to pronounce you husband and wife.
Cara: Hi. How'd it go? I was kind of worried. Did you get into trouble?
Tad: That remains to be seen. Want some wedding cake?
Cara: You were at a wedding?
Tad: Yeah. Not only was I at a wedding, I performed one. I married Ryan and Greenlee.
Cara: You -- you?
Tad: Yeah. I guess I didn't tell you. I'm a web-ordained minister. See, I had a web credit, and it was either that or the course in taxidermy.
Cara: I guess there's a lot I don't know about you, Tad Martin. But I do know you like cake.
Tad: It's got banana in it. It's a -- ok.
Singer: Time spills out faster than water thicker than blood we go on tempting and hiding changing the course of our days don't leave me here searching for something don't leave me here don't leave me here like this I can't make it don't leave me here
Ryan: Huh. So everyone's gone. Emma is at a sleepover. And you know what that means?
Greenlee: We're alone at last.
Ryan: I've been promising you a surprise a day since Christmas, and I've missed a few.
Ryan: Does this make up for them?
