Jane: Your dreams have finally come true. You really are a princess now. You're Erica Kane. For the first time -- people look at you -- and matter. You have to be very careful, though, especially with Jack and the family. You can't do anything that could give you away.
Jack: Who the heck are you talking to?
Jane: Oh. What?
Jack: Just now when I walked in, you were talking to somebody. Who?
Jane: Oh. Just a business call. Huh. Nothing important. What? What is it? Why are you looking at me that way?
Jack: Because I find it hard to believe that you are really here.
Jane: I am here. I am really here. And I'm so sorry that you had to worry so much, Jack.
Jack: A mere bag of shells. I have wanted to do this since the moment I rescued you. [Kiss]
Jake: I got to go. I got stuff. I have duty. Duty calls me.
Amanda: Oh, that's right. The hospital board meeting.
Jake: I'm sorry.
Amanda: No, don't be silly. It is your job, and you are very good at your job -- at home and at work.
Jake: Now I want to stay. But I can't. I have to go. So I'll take a shower.
Amanda: Looking good, Martin. Oh, my -- last time I felt like this, I was pregnant.
Tad: Well, who needs a state-of-the-art hospital when you got a nifty summer camp tent like this?
Cara: The clinic's got half the supplies that I've asked for, so that's just -- not your problem, is what that is. [Slams cabinet drawer] Sorry. What's up?
Tad: I didn't mean to interrupt. I just thought I'd come by and tell you that I thought I'd go out of town on a case tonight.
Cara: Oh, yeah?
Cara: That's great! That's -- that's just fabulous. Ok.
Tad: What is it?
Cara: I'm busy. I'm busy.
Tad: You were busy this morning, and I couldn't get your attention then either. It's like you're a million miles away. Just talk to me. Come on, Cara, please say something. What is it?
Cara: Huh. Today's Griffin's birthday.
Tad: I'm sorry. I didn't know that.
Cara: It's just no matter how far apart we are, we managed to wish each other a happy birthday. And I don't know where he is, and I miss him.
Ricky: Ha ha! Whoo-hoo-hoo!
[Knock on door]
Griffin: Ohh. What's up?
Chavo: My grandma baked this for you for taking care of her.
Griffin: Please tell her thank you. Now I'm gonna need something from you.
Griffin: Yep. I need some wheels, fast.
Kendall: What are you doing here? I thought I told you that I was gonna be at the hospital all night with Ryan and Greenlee and Madison. Oh, God, I feel so bad for them. I know I said that we would spend some time together, and we will. I promise. I need to get some sleep right now.
Ricky: Did you lie to me?
Kendall: Lie to you? About what?
Ricky: The boys. You said you talked to them about us getting married. But then I stopped by to see the kids last night, and Spike had no clue what I was talking about.
Kendall: So you told the boys about us?
Ricky: No. I figured you had a pretty good reason not to tell them, so let's hear it.
Kendall: Well, you're right. I didn't tell them.
Ricky: Why not?
Kendall: I -- I was afraid of how they would react.
Ricky: Afraid? Kendall, they're your children. You don't think that they deserve to know that we're getting married?
Kendall: Of course. But, Ricky, I can't do this on your timetable. It's got to be when it feels right for me. Please stop -- stop pressuring me.
Ricky: I didn't realize that I had been.
Kendall: I want to do this. I do. I want to be with you. But you have to please just trust me on this, ok, especially when it comes to my children.
Ricky: What can I say? I've never had kids. I guess I've been coming on a little too strong. It's just I love you so much, and then sometimes I'm just not convinced that you feel the same way.
Kendall: Are you crazy? Of course, I want to be with you. I am committed to you. I'm committed to us. Things have just been rough lately.
Ricky: I know it hasn't been easy for you.
Kendall: Yeah. But you're right. I -- I should've been honest. Can you -- think maybe you could forgive me?
Ricky: Hmm. Are you kidding me? When I look at that beautiful face of yours, how could I not? Now you get some rest, all right? I will call you later, all right?
Kendall: Thank you. Griff? Hey, it's me.
Griffin: You need to get over here now.
Tad: If it makes you feel better, this thing I'm going out of town on tonight -- it's for Griffin, and hopefully it's gonna help.
Cara: Ok. What is it?
Tad: Oh, no, you don't. No, no. I'll know more when I get there, and then after that, you'll know more. But it's gonna clear him of Diana Holden's murder and stealing the drugs -- the whole thing.
Cara: Fantastic. I'm coming with you. Yes, and I'm not gonna take no for an answer! No, and don't give me that "This is my job and I know how it works"! Stop! No! We work together, Tad, and I promise you I will not get in your way.
Tad: If I'm worried about you all the time, you will get in the way. Look, I want to clear your brother every bit as much as you do. I'm doing everything I can to make it happen!
Cara: I'll find my own lead, then.
Tad: Come on, Cara, it's not -- I'm sorry, all right? I didn't -- no, listen. We'll get him back, ok? I promise you we'll get him back. It's gonna happen.
Cara: I think he was happy here, Tad. I think that he loved working at the hospital, and he loved his friends. And I just feel like with just a little more encouragement, he would've been ready to stop flying all over the globe. I wanted to settle down with him here. I wanted to make a life with him here.
Tad: I, for one, am glad that half the battle's won.
Cara: I don't expect you to stay trapped in my life forever. You do know this?
Tad: Jinkies. When you say it like that, it sounds like such a party.
Cara: It's work, you know? Work to pretend that we're a couple, to pretend that we're a family.
Tad: I wouldn't exactly call it "work." I'm just saying when I saw you the other day with Kathy and Jenny having so much fun, it didn't seem like you were pretending.
Cara: I love your girls.
Tad: That's good, because they -- the feeling is mutual.
Cara: Oh. And Jenny -- she's -- she's just like you. She is. She's got this huge heart. She's smart and she's funny. And Kathy -- wow. Wow!
Tad: "Pistol" is the word I like to use.
Cara: She's like a force, but I dig it. I dig it.
Tad: Yes, she's just like her mother.
Cara: Look, I hope that I can stay in her life and in Jenny's life when we do go our separate ways.
Tad: We don't have to worry about that for a while anyway. I'll see you when I get back.
Cara: Wait. Hold on a second. When are you coming back?
Tad: I don't know. I might be gone overnight. Why?
Cara: Oh! I was planning one of our horror movie marathons tonight. You know? Aah! Ha ha!
Tad: All right. I'll tell you what. You take care of the kids, and then you can give me a scream-by-scream playback when I get home. Deal?
Cara: That's a deal. Thank you. I can say "Thank you."
Tad: For what?
Cara: For being amazing. For being a great friend to me and to my brother. Thank you.
Tad: That's what family does.
Jack: Yeah, I'll say "phew." And to think I was holding back on that because I wanted to make sure you were ok.
Jane: Oh. I am so much better than "ok."
Jack: I'll say. I don't believe you've ever kissed me like that. Come here. Let's do it again.
Jane: Oh, no, no, no, I can't.
Amanda: Hey, Angie.
Angie: Oh, hi, sweetheart.
Amanda: Are you ok?
Angie: Yeah, I'm fine. I was just checking on Madison and Ryan.
Amanda: It's so sad.
Angie: Yeah, it is.
Amanda: If Jake and I had lost Trevor -- I cannot even imagine what they are going through right now.
Angie: Makes us count our blessings, doesn't it? Healthy children, loving spouses -- you and I are very lucky. Listen, if you're looking for Jake, I think he's in a meeting.
Amanda: Yeah, I know.
Angie: Ok. I'll see you.
Amanda: I actually just came here for a blood test. I think I might be pregnant.
Angie: Oh. Have you done a home test yet?
Amanda: It was negative. But I know my body, and everything I'm feeling is telling me I'm gonna have another baby.
Angie: Have you told Jake?
Amanda: No. I still want it to be a surprise.
Angie: How much of a surprise?
Amanda: I know how you feel about keeping secrets, but even though Jake doesn't know that I was still trying, he is going to be so totally happy.
Angie: Listen, I don't want you to worry. I'm not going to lecture you now, ok? I know that you love Jake, your family.
Amanda: With all my heart.
Angie: Good luck, then, ok, and you let us know.
Jack: Something I said? Something I did?
Jane: Oh, no. No, you have been so patient, so loving. No, it's not you. It's me.
Jack: I'm sorry. I thought I was getting a signal that was what you wanted.
Jane: I do want you. I want you very, very much. I'm sorry. I think that I'm just still a little shaken right now, and I just don't feel like my old self. Jack, when I make love with you again, I want it to be so, so right. I want it to be so special -- almost as if it were the first time. And you could help me with that.
Jack: Tell me how.
Jane: Well, could we start by going on a date?
Jack: A date?
Jane: Yes. A real night on the town where we can do everything that we love to do. I would like high romance. I want us to fall in love again, all over again.
Jack: That actually sounds pretty darn nice -- perfect, in fact. Ms. Kane --
Jane: Yes, Mr. Montgomery?
Jack: You have no doubt noticed that I have been admiring you, and I think I've caught you admiring me a couple times. So how would you like to have dinner with me tonight?
Jane: Well, we only just met.
Jack: Yes, but sometimes when you meet certain people, you get a certain feeling, and I have it. I think you and I are gonna come to know each other very well.
Jane: You're very good.
Jack: Then it's a date?
Jane: It's a date.
Jane: Oh. Excuse me. Hello?
Ricky: Erica? This is Ricky Torres.
Jane: Oh. Yes. Hello, Reverend.
Ricky: How are you doing?
Jane: I'm doing very well, very well. Thank you for asking.
Ricky: Of course. Listen. If you're feeling up to it, I'd like to meet with you. There's something very important I'd like to do for Kendall, but I'm gonna need your help.
Kendall: Oh, my God.
Griffin: We assumed Ricky and Diana Holden were connected. More than we thought, as it turns out.
Kendall: She was in love with him.
Griffin: Yeah, or the money.
Kendall: No, no, no. I can tell by the way that she was looking at him. That relationship meant something to her, and then he killed her.
Griffin: And he deleted the video. No loose ends.
Kendall: Yeah, except you got it back, Griff. So this means that we have proof that Ricky lied about knowing Diana Holden.
Griffin: Yeah, but it doesn't prove he killed her, or Zach.
Kendall: All this time I thought that I was safe. I thought that I was safe, because he loved me. But this proves me wrong, very, very wrong. The guy is clearly a sociopath.
Griffin: This video still helps us, though.
Griffin: That money they're rolling around on? A casino's name was printed on the wrapper.
Kendall: Was it one of Zach's?
Griffin: No. Eden Falls -- that's where I'm going now.
Kendall: No, Griff, no. You can't go out there. It is too dangerous. The police already think that you murdered Diana Holden!
Griffin: It's my only option.
Kendall: Great. Ok. While that son of a bitch gets to roam around town like he's the hero. I hate him.
Griffin: I know.
Kendall: No, I hate him. I hate that he touches me and he kisses me, and I hate that I have to pretend that I'm in love with him when all I really want to do is I want to make him suffer the way that I have. I hate him! I hate that son of a bitch!
Griffin: Stop, stop, stop. You ok?
Kendall: Yeah. I'm fine. Now I got to look for that stupid ring.
Griffin: Ok. We'll look for it together. Come on.
Kendall: Thanks. I'm sorry, Griffin. I didn't mean to lose it like that.
Griffin: It's better you lose it on me than on him.
Kendall: Yeah. When I got home this morning, Ricky was there waiting for me.
Griffin: We got to get a private investigator at the house, too. What happened?
Kendall: He was pretty pissed off. He found out that I lied to him about telling the boys about us getting married.
Griffin: I was wondering when that might happen.
Kendall: I can't tell them, Griff. I can never tell them. My boys have been through too much already without me confusing them even more.
Griffin: Hey, I'm right there with you.
Kendall: Ok, this has to end. This has to stop. I can't tell Spike and Ian about any new stepfather. I can't.
Griffin: I found it.
Kendall: Oh. That was easy. Thank you.
Griffin: I hate that you have to wear this thing, giving this scum any hope at all, but I promise you it's not gonna be much longer. We're gonna nail this bastard -- together.
Chavo: Hey, my brother's outside with his car. He'll lend it to you.
Griffin: Good. Thank you.
Chavo: It's kind of beat-up.
Griffin: As long as it gets me to where I need to go. I should get going.
Kendall: I know.
Griffin: What about the P.I.? Is he still on the case?
Kendall: Yeah. He's like my shadow. I'm covered.
Griffin: Ok. I'm gonna need you to stay wired up. I'll touch base with you when I'm in range.
Kendall: Please be careful.
Griffin: Yeah. You, too.
Jake: I got your text. Ok, now, don't say anything. I know. You played hooky from Chandler because you want to go back to the hotel and have a little rumba, and you know what? I'm down. So I have cleared my whole schedule, and I say let's go. Come with me right now.
Amanda: No, Jake, it's not that. There's just something that I need to tell you.
Amanda: Um, you know that I want to have another baby. We talked about this, so you already know that, right? But you, you wanted to wait. But I -- I didn't start taking my birth control after we decided to stop trying.
Jake: Uh, wait. What?
Amanda: I know that I should've told you, but I didn't. And this morning I woke up dizzy, just like I was when I was pregnant with Trevor. So I'm also a few days late.
Jake: What you're saying is you're pregnant?
Amanda: I don't know. They took blood, and I'm waiting for the results.
Amanda: But I know that having a baby right now will be so good for us.
Jake: But we agreed to wait. We talked about this, right?
Amanda: Jake, I really think that --
Jake: You wouldn't be doing this if you thought everything was ok. You think that we're not good. You think something's wrong, right? Why else would you do this?
Jack: Don't you look pretty.
Bianca: Thank you. You look nice, too. Where's Mom?
Jack: I don't know. Reverend Ricky called, and she ran out of here to meet him somewhere.
Bianca: What did he want?
Jack: I don't have any idea. Maybe church business. Ha ha.
Bianca: "Church business." So how is she?
Jack: Actually, she's still a little bit shaky, and I wish she would take it a little bit easy.
Bianca: You know Mom. She's always going a thousand miles an hour. And she can put as brave a spin as she wants on it, but being kidnapped is traumatizing. I know what that's like. It takes a little while to get back to yourself.
Jack: And this is why I love you, because you are so smart. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I can't accept the fact that she's actually back here and we're together again, back on track. But I got to tell you, I still have this feeling that there's something wrong.
Jane: My future son-in-law! Hi!
Ricky: Hi. Have a seat, please.
Jane: Thank you. So what can I do for you?
Ricky: I want to do something for Kendall, but I'm not so sure she'll be all for it.
Jane: Say no more. I know exactly what you have in mind: My big surprise engagement party.
Ricky: Actually, that's not what I was thinking.
Ricky: No. I'm thinking we can do much better than that.
Griffin: When the hell did the casino close down?
Man: Last week. The owners just closed the doors, took off. No warning, and no severance pay.
Griffin: Have you ever seen these two around before?
Man: I've told you all I know.
Tad: I've usually found that a well-placed 50 will get you the answers you're looking for.
Griffin: What the hell are you doing here?
Amanda: Please try to understand I really believe this is the right time to give Trevor a little brother or sister.
Jake: This is the type of decision that you make together. You make it as a team.
Amanda: We are a team. I was just afraid if we waited too long --
Jake: What? You're gonna start talking about -- your biological clock is not even ticking. You are doing this because you think it's gonna make all of our problems go away.
Amanda: At least now you're admitting we have problems.
Jake: What do I have to do, what do I have to say to make you believe that I love you? I love you.
Amanda: I know that you love me, and I love you, and I love our family. That's all that I care about.
Jake: And I'm just saying that you do things as a team, and if you don't have trust with somebody, you've got nothing.
Jack: I should never, ever have believed those e-mails and phone calls they forced her to make.
Bianca: You are being way too hard on yourself.
Jack: Don't you think when you love someone the way I love your mother, don't you think I -- shouldn't I have known that there was something not right? What the hell is that?
Bianca: Hmm. I don't know. I've never seen that before.
Jack: I know. Me either. You don't suppose this thing belongs to Erica?
Bianca: It's not exactly her style.
Jack: No. No, it sure as hell isn't.
Griffin: Reverend Ricky and the late Diana Holden were lovers, partners in crime, the whole nine.
Tad: Why would he kill her?
Griffin: Maybe he didn't want to leave any witnesses behind that were connected to Zach's plane crash, or maybe she was jealous.
Griffin: Of him spending so much time with Kendall. Unfortunately, the only thing that the video proves is that him and Diana were hitting the sheets. It doesn't prove that he killed her.
Tad: A man of God.
Griffin: I don't think that's the team Ricky plays for.
Tad: So the casino's shut down?
Griffin: Yeah, but I still think there's a connection, but there's nobody here to prove it. How'd you find me, anyway?
Tad: I didn't. I wasn't looking for you. I came to check out the casino. I got a lead myself.
Griffin: Ok, we got to find some information fast. Kendall's engaged to the guy.
Tad: You're kidding.
Griffin: I wish I was. She insisted on getting close to the guy to get proof so she could put him away.
Tad: It's a dangerous game you're playing with a psycho, while the police are looking for you.
Griffin: I don't care about that.
Tad: No. You care about Kendall.
Cara: Hey. Have you heard from my brother?
Kendall: Why would you ask that?
Cara: I figured if he'd call anybody, it would be you.
Kendall: No. No, Griffin hasn't been in contact. But I'm sure he's ok.
Cara: What is that?
Kendall: Uh, I'm engaged.
Cara: To who?
Kendall: To Ricky.
Cara: The "little too intense minister" Reverend Ricky?
Kendall: Yeah, Reverend Ricky. Actually, he's really a good guy. He is.
Cara: If you believe that, that's -- I don't believe it. I don't think Griff would either.
Amanda: I just really want another baby. Is that such a bad thing?
Jake: Having another baby is not the issue here.
Amanda: It is for me.
Jake: Really? Honey, I have never said to you, not once, that I don't want another baby. No. It's just the way you go about things.
Amanda: Are you going to the lab to find out?
Jake: I'm not going to the lab. The lab is backed up.
Amanda: So where are you going?
Jake: I am going to take a little walk, ok, because I can't talk about this anymore. I'm sorry. And I can't do this at work.
Cara: I'm just surprised, that's all. And I think Griffin would be, um, hmm. But I guess that doesn't really matter now, huh?
Kendall: What about Griff?
Cara: I don't think he'd ever tell you this, but he liked you.
Kendall: Well, I like him, too. We're friends.
Cara: No, Kendall. I mean he actually -- he had feelings for you. And I could've sworn you felt -- that's why this whole thing with Ricky just doesn't make any sense to me, that's all.
Kendall: I will always be grateful to Griffin for saving my life. And I'm sorry if I caused any problems for him. But Griff and I -- what we have is just a friendship.
Cara: Ok. Then I guess I'm gonna be taking a refresher course on reading the signals, because I was dead wrong on this one.
Kendall: Excuse me. Hello?
Jane: Kendall, darling! It's your mother. I need to see you.
Kendall: Is everything ok?
Jane: It's important that I meet with you at your house right now.
Kendall: At my house? But, Mom --
Jane: Please, just come home, Kendall. Please.
Tad: Kendall's the only one you confided in?
Griffin: How's Cara?
Tad: She's worried sick about you. Oh, happy birthday, by the way.
Griffin: My birthday?
Tad: Yeah, it's your --
Griffin: Well, I guess it is. Thank you. So Cara's good?
Tad: Well, other than being obsessed about proving you're innocent and losing her job at the hospital, I guess she's --
Griffin: What happened?
Tad: Oh, it's a long story. But it's not her fault, so it's ok. If it's all right with you, I got her a part-time job at the free clinic helping out. She's pretty amazing.
Griffin: You don't have to convince me, man.
Tad: It's just that to go through everything she's gone through and come out strong, kind, so full of life -- your sister's an amazing person.
Griffin: Not everybody sees her the way we do, Tad.
Tad: Listen, you still got that hard drive, Ricky's hard drive?
Tad: You mind if I borrow it?
Griffin: Yeah. Ok.
Tad: I got a friend of mine, ok? He's a techo geek. He's a whiz with computers. He could probably pull whatever's left off the hard drive.
Tad: Now comes the really hard question -- what do we tell her?
Griffin: To Cara, nothing. Tad, this never happened. You never ran into me.
Tad: Yeah, but it did happen. And like I said, she's losing a lot of sleep over you.
Griffin: It has to be this way.
Tad: Griff, I can't. There's a lot of things that I would do for you, but I'm not too thrilled about lying to your sister.
Griffin: You know what's gonna happen if she finds out the truth about this. She's gonna try to nail Ricky herself.
Tad: Yeah. Undoubtedly.
Griffin: For sure. And this guy is sick, all right? He won't think twice about murdering anybody else, and she cannot get hurt by this. Don't tell her, Tad, please.
Cara: I'm just wondering if you found out anything that could bring Griffin back safely.
Tad: No, but I'm still looking.
Cara: I don't mean to be a pain or anything. I'm just kind of worried about him, that's all.
Tad: Try not to. He strikes me as a pretty resourceful guy. I'll call you, especially if I find something.
Griffin: Thank you.
Tad: Don't. I'm still not so sure I'm doing the right thing.
Griffin: I mean thank you for taking such good care of my sister.
Tad: Just the way I roll. I tend to take my fake marriage vows pretty seriously.
Griffin: It may have started out as a fake marriage, but it doesn't have to stay that way.
Ricky: I want this ship ready to sail tonight. Are you listening?
Captain: Yes, but I --
Ricky: I want a case of Kendall's favorite champagne, and I want the master suite full of white roses.
Captain: I know that's what you want, but I'm trying to tell you I'm gonna need a little more time to make all that happen by tonight.
Ricky: You weren't listening, were you? Get it done.
Jane: I was beginning to worry.
Kendall: My God, Mom, you made it sound urgent.
Jane: It is. Jack and I have decided to take you and Bianca out to celebrate my homecoming.
Kendall: Oh. Uh, ok. That's what was so important?
Jane: Yes! And there's no time to lose. As a matter of fact, I've already laid out a dress for you to wear, and so hurry up. Come on. You have to get ready.
Kendall: Wait. Why are you suddenly picking out my clothes?
Jane: Because I want you to look beautiful, of course! So come on! Go ahead. You have to go. Go get ready now.
Kendall: Hold on a second. What is the big rush?
Jane: Kendall, don't ask me any more questions, ok, because it's going to be a wonderful night. Trust me. Ok, get going! Go get ready! Get dressed.
Kendall: All right. Ok.
Jane: Ok. Everything is all set.
Ricky: I knew you could do it.
Angie: Hey. Have you gotten your test results back?
Amanda: No. The lab's backed up. I told Jake. God, he was so upset.
Angie: Oh, honey, I'm sorry.
Amanda: But I know as soon as he hears the good news, it will all go away. We're going to bring a new life into this world, and everything will be ok after that. I just know it will be.
Tad: Hey, it's me. Listen, it turns out the trip wasn't a waste after all. I came up with something. It's good news. So I guess I'll be home for that movie marathon. You might want to get the popcorn ready. Bye.
[Music plays at Fusion]
Cara: Happy birthday, Griffin. I love you. Ahem. Ahem. Whew. Can I please have another?
Kendall: Isn't this a little overdressed for dinner?
Jane: "Overdressed" -- what a silly word. Here. Oh, now you look perfect.
Griffin: Kendall, are you there?
Kendall: Mom, why -- what's going on with the rose?
Jane: You'll see.
[Knock on door]
Jane: I'll get it.
Griffin: Hey, what's going on?
Jane: Oh, good! You're here! Jack will be here any minute. Oh, hi.
Bianca: Here? Here for what? I don't understand what's going on. Do you?
Kendall: You didn't tell Bianca about the dinner?
Jane: There is no dinner.
[Knock on door]
Kendall: What is this?
Ricky: We're getting married, right here, right now.
