Jack: You want to get married tonight?
Erica: The sooner the better.
Jack: Honey, we set a date. We had a place picked out. We signed a contract. You were thrilled.
Erica: I was. I am. But it's not the wedding that thrills me, it's the man I'm about to marry. Why wait?
Jack: For one thing, do you know what time it is?
Erica: That makes it even more romantic. Are you kidding, us dashing off to be married? Imagine how surprised the world is gonna be tomorrow when they wake up and hear the news.
Jack: Is it the world you want to surprise or just Caleb?
Caleb: If it isn't two of my favorite people.
Bianca: What are you doing out?
Marissa: And what is with that look on your face?
Caleb: What look?
Caleb: I saw Asher.
J.R.: You're early. Where's Colby?
Asher: Hold up. So you're the one that bid on that date?
J.R.: Yeah. I figured I owed her a fun time out, since I came down on her so hard.
Asher: I guess you owe her something else. I guess I shouldn't have accused Caleb.
J.R.: Wait a minute. You guys got into it?
Asher: You know, it actually turned out to be not so bad.
A.J.: Daddy? Daddy?
J.R.: Ok. Ok, we'll call.
Marissa: Oh. I will be right back.
Bianca: So you spent the night with your son.
Caleb: I had a date with your mother.
Marissa: A.J., isn't it past your bedtime?
A.J.: Can you come kiss me good night?
Marissa: Baby, you know I can't be there every time to kiss you good night.
A.J.: Please, Mommy?
Marissa: Let me talk to your dad.
J.R.: I know what you're thinking, and you're wrong, because this was all A.J.'s idea.
J.R.: You know how A.J. gets when he wants something.
Marissa: Yeah, just like his father.
Brot: This is Officer Monroe. I'm in Lacey Park, headed out for foot patrol.
Officer: Roger that. Monroe?
Officer: Do you know if Chief Hubbard's checking in later?
Brot: No. He's off the clock. They're taking a night to themselves before the baby comes along.
Officer: He deserves it.
Brot: They both do.
Jesse: What is it, baby? What's wrong?
Angie: I'm not sure.
Jesse: Is it another contraction? What do I do? Is this it? Is this labor?
Angie: No. It's not a contraction. It's different!
Jesse: Wait. What do you mean, different? Different how? What do I do?
Angie: It's not going away like a contraction would. Jesse, I feel lightheaded, weak.
Jesse: Here, give me your arm. Give me your arm. Give me your arm! Stay with me, baby. Stay with me. I knew I should've gotten you in the car earlier.
Angie: No, I can't!
Jesse: All right. All right. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. It's gonna be fine, baby. Here. Here. Here we go.
Jesse: All right, come on. Come on. Hey, baby, talk to me. Talk to me.
Angie: Jesse, I don't know what that was, but you can't get me out of here in time. Jesse, I'm gonna have the baby now!
Jesse: All right, I'm gonna find a signal, and I'm gonna call the hospital.
Angie: Jesse, there's no time!
Jesse: Ok. All right. All right. No time. Then lucky for us that you're a brilliant doctor, and I got a crash course from Jake and Cara on birthing babies. Huh?
Angie: You're gonna need it.
Jesse: Yeah. Hey, we' fine, all of us. I promise you. Ok?
Angie: Jesse, do you know that I've pictured this moment so many times? It wasn't like this.
Jesse: This is just Ellie Hubbard anxious to meet Mommy
Angie: Yeah, impatient like her father.
Jesse: Hey, listen. Like I told you before, you have carried this baby this far. I will carry the two of you for the rest of our lives. That's a promise I'm gonna keep. You hear me?
Jesse: Baby? Breathe. Breathe. Breathe, ok? It's ok. Just breathe. Breathe. That's it. That's it. That's it.
[A tearful young woman places a box inside a police car and leaves]
Erica: This isn't about Caleb. It's about us.
Jack: Erica, it seems to me that right after you met with Caleb to settle things, you came over here and you laid into Krystal for no good reason.
Erica: She was wearing your shirt and very little else.
Jack: Because she fell overboard.
Erica: Probably on purpose.
Jack: No. Whatever Caleb said set you off, and you came over here, and you took it out on her.
Erica: That's not true.
Jack: And now you want us to elope? Where does this go? Just tell me, what the hell happened between you and Caleb tonight?
Erica: I told you Caleb in no uncertain terms that you are the only man in my life.
Jack: So this epiphany that we should run off and get married this second -- this is just because you love me so damn much.
Erica: My conversation with Caleb made me realize just how much, and I just don't want to wait another day. Jack, would you please stop looking at what's wrong with this and start to look at what's right? And what we have is so precious. It's so amazing. We don't need an audience. We don't need a caterer or a live band. All we need is each other, and we could have that tonight. We could wake up tomorrow morning and be husband and wife. All you have to do is say yes.
Erica: All right. It is about Caleb.
Bianca: Why would my mother ask you on a date?
Bianca: Come on. You know what I mean.
Caleb: I guess she wanted to remind me that we are partners in business only.
Bianca: What else would you be?
Bianca: Caleb, you know I care about you. But the last thing my mother needs right now is you in the middle of her relationship with Uncle Jack. So tell me, what is really going on?
Marissa: I thought you were gonna stop playing games.
J.R.: This was all A.J. I swear. I read to him. I gave him milk. He even squeezed a song out of me. He's wired, he's wide awake, and he wants you.
Marissa: All right. I'll be right over.
J.R.: Guess what. Mom's on her way over. What do you think about that, big guy? Hmm?
Jesse: This damn phone. Oh, my God.
Angie: Jesse, no, don't go. The contractions -- they're too close. This baby's going to come real soon.
Jesse: I have got to get on the radio, ok? I will be right back.
Angie: Jesse, wait! Wait.
Jesse: What? What?
Angie: You asked me a question. I want to answer it. Baby, I do believe in you completely. And I know that as long as you're here, everything is going to be all right. I want you to know I believe that. Ok?
Jesse: Absolutely. You have my word. All right? I'll be right back. Ok. Here. [Stumbles] I'm ok.
Marissa: Is something wrong?
Bianca: No. Nothing that can't be fixed.
Marissa: Ok. Well, I got to go.
Bianca: You need a ride.
Marissa: No. I have a car coming to pick me up.
Bianca: Are you sure? I can take you.
Marissa: It looks like you two need to square away whatever needs to be squared. I'll talk to you tomorrow -- you, too, probably.
Bianca: Bye. Just tell me you respect my mom enough to honor her relationship with Uncle Jack.
Caleb: I know how protective you are of your mother, so I don't expect you to understand.
Bianca: What, you think she's just gonna dump Uncle Jack and spend happily ever after with you? You don't know my mother. You don't know her at all.
Jack: Erica, I'll tell you if the only reason you want to marry me right now is Caleb Cortlandt, I think I'll pass.
Erica: Jack, you know how much Caleb and I have been through together.
Jack: Yes, the plane crash, the wild animals, the moonshine, and of course, New Year's Eve.
Erica: He and I have resolved that. And I thought that Caleb and I had gotten to a good place, a solid and stable place where we could work together --
Jack: Without all those pesky kisses?
Erica: Whatever flaws Caleb has, he's an exceptional partner.
Jack: Terrific to hear that.
Erica: At work, Jack. At work. Work that I happen to find exciting and stimulating, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna give it up. But Caleb has come to the conclusion that our connection is more personal than professional, and he's made up his mind that he's gonna wait until I come to the same conclusion, too.
Jack: Even though you have told him repeatedly "no"?
Erica: Yes. And I'm exhausted, but not just by him, Jack. By everybody asking, "What took so long to set a date? Why is this engagement just dragging on and on and on?"
Jack: So what's your answer?
Erica: My answer is that all hell has broken loose ever since you asked me to marry you. We lost Zach. We almost lost Kendall. Bianca's marriage has fallen apart. But we are here, Jack, and there is nowhere else I'd rather be.
Jack: And you're sure about that?
Erica: I have never been so sure. Jack, I don't want to spend one more day with you doubting me. I want to prove to you how much I want to be your wife again.
Jack: And that would make me your husband, wouldn't it?
Erica: So you understand?
Jack: I do.
Erica: You want to say those words tonight?
Jack: Look, if you want to have a husband by daybreak, I need to go call some judges, see if I can roust them out of their bed. And you have a wedding to prepare for.
Erica: I'll meet you back here.
Jack: You'd better.
Brot: What the hell?
Angie: Ohh. We have come so far, Ellie. I just need you to hold on. Ok? Just hold on just a little longer. I want you to be the strong, brave little girl that I know you are. And your daddy will be kissing you before you know it. I have come so far to have complications now. I have given up so much to be holding this precious baby in my arms. Please, please, God, don't let it be in vain! I am begging you! I am begging you to please bring our daughter into this world unharmed. That is all I ask. Please!
Jesse: Dispatch, this is Chief Hubbard, Pine Valley P.D. My wife is in labor at the old Justice of the Peace Fred Stiles' place! I need an ambulance now!
Jesse: Any more contractions?
Angie: At the rate they're going, any minute.
Officer: Hate to tell you, Chief. We've only got one bus, and it's on a call.
Jesse: You get an ambulance here right now. This is my wife, she is in labor, and the baby is not waiting. You hear me? Now! They're gonna be here any minute. Ok?
Angie: What if they're not?
Jesse: It's just you and me, kid. All right? Can you do that? Can you trust me with that?
Angie: Yes, I trust you completely.
Jesse: All righty, then. Come on. Ok, Ellie Hubbard, here we come. Oh, my God, it's crazy, huh? We started our life as husband and wife right here in this room, and now Ellie -- she's gonna start a brand-new life in this exact same room.
Angie: This is definitely going to be a moment for the memory book.
Jesse: Yeah, that memory book's gonna be filled with that little girl, huh? Yeah. They're gonna be tons of memory books filled with that little girl, millions of them, right?
Angie: Baby, I love you so much.
Jesse: I love you, too. I love you, and the next time I say that, you're gonna be holding our little baby girl, our beautiful little baby girl.
Marissa: Oh, baby, you know that I love you, but you got to know I can't come over here every single time you want me to, ok?
A.J.: Ok. Can I show you my new game?
Marissa: Yes. Why not? You're right. He is wide awake.
J.R.: Yeah. Thanks for coming.
Marissa: Well, no matter what's going on between us, I want him to know that I'll always be here for him, even if it's in the middle of the night.
J.R.: I swear I didn't put him up to it, this wanting to see you.
Marissa: You asked Bianca to talk to me about trusting you again.
J.R.: That wasn't a behind-your-back thing. I knew she'd tell you.
Marissa: Trust takes time. It doesn't just happen because you want it to.
J.R.: I know.
Marissa: You say you know, but then you keep pushing.
J.R.: I'm trying. You know how I feel about family, our family.
Marissa: Yeah. Try harder. You're offering Reese a job?
J.R.: It's a contract proposal.
Marissa: Why would you do that when you know that I'm trying to get Bianca free of her wife?
J.R.: It's not what you think. I'm not trying to sabotage anything. I'm trying to help.
Jack: Judge, I apologize for the hour. I do. No, no hard feelings at all. We'll just find somebody else to marry us, I guess. All right? Yeah. No, it's -- right. I'll see you in the court, I guess. Damn it.
Jack: So how was your dinner with Erica?
Caleb: She's very entertaining.
Jack: That she is. Did you really tell her that you would wait for her?
Caleb: Yes, I did.
Jack: Let me tell you something. That 20 years you spent on that mountain? It will seem like the blink of an eye compared to how long you will wait for that to happen.
Caleb: Anything else?
Jack: Nope. I just wanted to make sure we both knew where we stand.
Caleb: I think we do.
Erica: Well. This is a surprise.
Bianca: I ran into Caleb tonight. Sounds like you had an interesting evening.
Erica: Caleb told you about our --
Bianca: But you put out the good china, Mom.
Erica: Bianca, I couldn't possibly have this conversation with Caleb in a public place. I explained to him once and for all that I love Jack, that Jack and I are gonna be married, and the only relationship I'm ever gonna have with Caleb is business partner.
Bianca: Well, he didn't get the message.
Erica: Which is why Jack and I are getting married tonight.
Erica: Yes. Jack is making all the plans right now. We are so excited. Isn't it exciting?
Bianca: What? So you've convinced Uncle Jack to have a shotgun wedding, so you can send Caleb a message?
Erica: No. Of course not. Not just for that. But Caleb has kept up his hopes, I think, because Jack and I have postponed our wedding for so long. And Jack and I are ready. We can once and for all start our future together. So be happy for me.
Jesse: I never thought I'd be saying it, but this is our lucky day. We got extra towels here, huh, extra pillow. Here you go, baby. All right?
Angie: That feels good. Uh-huh.
Jesse: And check this out. Believe it or not, the gas is still on. I was able to boil some water, sterilize my shoelaces.
Angie: Baby, you're amazing.
Jesse: I know, right? That's how we roll. Just want to welcome our baby in style, our little princess.
Angie: That feels so -- ohh!
Jesse: Whoa, baby. Ok.
Jesse: Hold on. Hold on. All right, baby, you ok? You ok? Ok. Breathe, breathe. Breathe.
Angie: Jesse, Jesse, this is it! Jesse, I can feel it!
Jesse: All right. Ok. All right. Sit up. Here we go. It's on me. You and me, we're doing this, baby. Ok? I'm getting in position here. Here. Help me out, ok? Help me out.
Angie: Jesse, listen. I can feel her in the birth canal. I'm gonna need you to help her. I want you to -- I want you to watch for her head, and when you see it, put your hand on it.
Jesse: I got it. There it is. You got it. Oh, my God. There it is. I see the head, baby! There she is! She's almost here! She's almost here! Oh, my God! She's almost here. One more push. One more push, baby. Just keep on pushing.
Angie: I can't. [Loses consciousness]
Jesse: Yes, you can do this. Yes, you can, baby. Come on. One more push, that's all it's gonna take. Angie -- oh, my God. Angela? Angela? Angela? Can you hear me? Oh, my God. All right. All right. Here we go. It's just you and me, baby girl. Come on. You're gonna have to help Daddy out here. All right, baby? Ok. Here we come. All right, we're doing it. That's it. Keep on coming. Oh, my God, Angela, here she comes. Here she comes. Here we go. Almost here. Almost here, baby. Here you come. It's almost if -- there you go. Oh, my God. Here we go. Here we go. Ok. Here we go! We did it! Phew! We did it! Oh, my God. Baby, here we go. We did it. We did it. Come on, baby. Come on, give us a cry. Come on, baby. Breathe. She's not breathing. Angela? Oh, my God, what do I do? Breathe. Ok, Angela, Angela, I need you. I need you. Breathe!
Marissa: I thought we were done with this, the game playing?
J.R.: I am. I was gonna tell you about it.
Marissa: After it was a done deal?
J.R.: I thought it would be a nice surprise.
Marissa: How, exactly, is hiring Reese a good thing for Bianca?
J.R.: Reese has not seen her kids in a year. I thought if I offered her the redesign of Chandler's offices -- open checkbook, final approval -- she'll jump at the chance. She's proven over and over again that she chooses work over her children every time.
Marissa: Oh. So you think that if she takes this job, she'll drop the custody suit?
J.R.: Don't you?
Marissa: Why would you go to all this trouble to help Bianca?
J.R.: It's not about Bianca, although she does deserve to keep her kids.
Marissa: It's about me?
J.R.: This is an important case for you.
Marissa: I can win it by myself.
J.R.: I know you can. But we recently just went through a divorce. And for you to get in the trenches of another divorce, even if it's not your own, that could stir up bad memories and pain. I don't want you to go through that.
Marissa: This is how you stop with the lies and the manipulations, huh?
J.R.: I can do things to change myself, but I'll never stop trying to help my family.
A.J.: Just one game, and then I'll go to bed! I promise!
J.R.: A.J., your mom's had a long day. She needs to go home and get sleep.
Marissa: Actually, I'm really kind of awake. Come on. I bet I can beat you. That's right. Lay it on me.
Erica: You know how spontaneous Jack and I are. Our big round-the-world pre-wedding honeymoon -- that was so big and so romantic! That's who we are!
Bianca: Caleb was in the picture then, too.
Erica: So do you like this one, honey, or do you think that I should wear something just really simple?
Bianca: Mom, you're avoiding.
Erica: I am trying to get ready for my wedding.
Bianca: I don't want Uncle Jack to get hurt, or Caleb.
Erica: Sweetheart, you just have to trust that what I'm doing is really best for everyone.
Bianca: Mom, I'm trying.
Erica: Honey, I am marrying Jackson, because I love him. And if it allows Caleb to understand that better, that's good. Great.
Bianca: Well, what if it does the exact opposite? What if this sudden wedding ups the stakes and makes Caleb fight even harder for you?
Erica: As I said, a little trust would go a long way, Bianca. I'm doing everything I can to make everything great for everybody.
Bianca: Ok, and I know how this works. I've lived with it. Dad and Uncle Jack, two men fighting over you? Somebody is gonna get crushed, maybe everybody.
Erica: Maybe, honey, it's better if you go home to the girls. Ok? Because, honestly, I really have a lot to do.
Bianca: If you go through with this, you're not gonna push Caleb away. You're just letting him know how much he gets to you. You're practically challenging him to step it up. Don't you understand that?
Brot: Jesse? Jesse? It's Brot!
Jesse: She's not breathing. Baby not breathing. She's not breathing. Come on, baby. Breathe for Daddy.
Brot: Oh, Chief.
Jesse: She won't breathe. She's not breathing. Baby, breathe.
Brot: Angie's got a pulse.
Jesse: She's not breathing.
Brot: Did she cry at all?
Brot: Is there any breaths? How long?
Jesse: Too long.
Brot: Jesse, Jesse, Jesse? Jesse, Jesse, she's gone!
Jesse: Get off me! Get off me! Baby? Um, Ellie, Ellie? Ugh! Brot!
Erica: What you're going through right now -- your divorce, the stress, the emotion -- of course, you don't want anyone else to go through that, and I promise you I don't either. That's why I'm marrying Jack. Caleb will get over it, believe me. It'll hurt for a while, but he will survive.
Bianca: How can you not get this?
Erica: Honey, I do understand how vulnerable you are right now, so I am going to ignore how insulting this is. I am not marrying Jack to bait Caleb.
Bianca: Then have the wedding we've been planning. It's only a few weeks away.
Erica: Bianca, Jack and I have been waiting far too long as it is. First we lost Zach, and then we helped Kendall through her grief. We -- look, a lot has happened. A lot has happened, but now it's our time. And to put it simply, Jack and I just don't want to wait another day.
Bianca: You won't change your mind?
Erica: No. And I won't apologize either. I am marrying Jack for one reason and one reason only: Because I want to spend the rest of my life with him.
Bianca: I hope you mean that, Mom. I really do.
J.R.: And the winner, and remaining champion, A.J. Chandler!
Marissa: Whoo! That's my boy! Ow! The winner! Ha ha ha!
Marissa: Ow! You're expecting someone?
J.R.: No, I'm not. What do you want?
Caleb: Asher left this at Krystal's.
J.R.: He's not here. I'll give it to him.
Marissa: Is that Caleb?
J.R.: Yeah. He was dropping something off for Asher.
Caleb: Is that Marissa? What did you pull out of your bag of tricks to get her over here?
J.R.: No tricks, Caleb. She wanted to see our son.
Caleb: Oh. How convenient.
J.R.: You know the difference between you and me? You're a quitter, I'm not. I know what I want. I go after it. I don't stop until I get it.
Caleb: Well, we may not be as different as you think.
Jesse: Oh, God, Ellie. Ok, ok. We loved her so much. We loved you so much. We named her after my mama. Oh, God! Where did you go? Where did you go? Where did you go? Where did you go? Where did she go? Where did she go? Where did she go?
Brot: Chief, it wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault, Chief.
Jesse: Oh! Ohh!
Marissa: You totally rocked this game.
A.J.: That's because I practice.
A.J.: You sure we can't play one more game?
Marissa: You are just like your father.
A.J.: Does that mean we can play again?
Marissa: Ooh. Busy night. Um, I'll be right back.
J.R.: All right.
Marissa: Hey, Bianca. What's up?
Bianca: Hi. Just checking in. I wanted to see how everything was going with you. Are you home?
Marissa: Actually, I'm still at the mansion.
Bianca: Is this where I talk you down from spending more time than you have to with J.R.?
Marissa: I've got it handled. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Bianca: Ok, then. Good night.
Marissa: I bet you can't win two in a row.
A.J.: Yes, I can.
Marissa: No, you can't.
Marissa: Uh-uh. Come here.
Caleb: Hi. I'd like to see Miss Kane, please.
Maid: I'm sorry. She's not here.
Caleb: Where is she?
Maid: Miss Kane's on a boat. She's getting married.
Erica: Jack, why aren't you dressed?
Jack: I know you have your heart set on us getting married tonight, but I've been thinking about it, and I've decided it can wait a couple of days.
Erica: But, Jack --
Jack: Sweetheart, even though this is our second trip down the aisle, I don't want to exchange vows in front of a sleepy-eyed judge who's wearing his pajamas under his clothes. I want this to be memorable in a good way.
Erica: We can make it memorable.
Jack: So what we are going to do is we are going to weigh anchor and set sail for St. Barts, where I will marry you on a beach as planned, but with dolphins for witnesses instead of daughters. All right? What do you think, huh? Think you can wait a few days to be my wedded wife?
Erica: You tell that captain, "Full speed ahead."
Jack: That's my girl. Come here, you. Hmm.
[Ring tone plays as Caleb tries to call Erica]
Asher: Whoa. Sorry. You ok?
Girl: No worries.
Brot: Angie's pulse is still ok. And she's breathing, too. That's good, Chief.
Jesse: Ohh. I -- she passed out before I could tell her. How do I tell her? How do I tell her?
Brot: You know what? Forget the ambulance. Let's get her into the squad car, get her to the hospital. They'll take care of her and the baby. Chief, come on. Let me help you.
Jesse: No. No. Oh, I did everything I could. I did. I begged you to open your eyes. I begged you to take a breath. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry! Oh, my God, we loved you so much. We loved --
Brot: Chief, it wasn't your fault.
Jesse: What --
Brot: Shh. It's ok. Someone left her in my squad car. It's ok. They wanted to give her away. Shh.
Angie: Ellie? Ellie? Jesse, I heard -- I heard our daughter. I heard her crying. Mommy's here. Mommy's here, Ellie. Don't worry. Don't worry, Ellie. Mommy's here.
