Cara: No, it's ok. Just relax. Relax. There you go. I just wanted to -- that's better, right?
Tad: I forgot. Good morning.
Cara: Back at ya.
Tad: Ah! Oh! Aah!
Cara: Oh. That doesn't sound too good. Are you ok?
Tad: I can't feel my legs.
Cara: Well, that's because you got yourself in a really weird position here.
Tad: That makes two of us. Ow.
Cara: Yeah. Some wedding night, yeah?
Tad: Come on, it was fun. Any excuse for a party, right?
Cara: Oh, just -- ok. Wait till the needles kick in.
Tad: Hey, look at the bright side. We're off to a good start. Nothing says marriage like a night on the couch.
Amanda: Jake. Jake. Really?
Jake: Good morning.
Jake: I thought the wedding was pretty good. Everybody survive last night? What do you think?
Griffin: Yeah, apparently.
Jake: No, I said I think it went well.
Griffin: Nothing's gonna go well until we get Immigration off Cara's back. That's gonna take 3 long years.
Jake: Yeah. Well, Tad will make it fun.
Griffin: I got to go see a patient.
Kendall: There's nothing I could do for Zach. I can't do anything for him ever again, ok? So thank you very much, but why don't you just go save the world.
Greenlee: Welcome to the battlefield.
Kendall: What do you mean? What are you talking about?
Greenlee: Do you check your phone?
Kendall: My mom, she made me turn it off last night. What's going on?
Randi: Disaster. Here are those files that you wanted.
Greenlee: No. Here. Here's a proposal. It has some interesting ideas in it. See if there's anything we can use for damage control. Thank you.
Kendall: Ok. Are we gonna play 20 questions, or are you gonna tell me why we need damage control?
Greenlee: Are you ready to get your hands dirty, or are you gonna disappear on me again?
Kendall: I've been dealing with a personal crisis.
Greenlee: I can deal with my personal crisis and take care of business. If you can't, let me do this. The company is about to fall apart, and I can't have you falling apart on me, too.
Scott: Hey, Madison, what's up? It's me. Just seeing if you made it back from Boston all right and if you have any news about Emma. Oh, by the way, I got to hand in the lease today, so I'm gonna need your signature. I'll run by Fusion, see if I can catch up with you there. All right. Bye. Hey.
Jake: We need to have a little chat.
Scott: Can it wait?
Jake: Not if you like your job.
Ryan's answering machine: You have no new messages.
Madison: It's not your fault. You know, Annie got spooked, but you'll find her again.
Ryan: If I hadn't have grabbed the phone from Hayward's hand --
Madison: You wanted to hear Emma's voice.
Ryan: Yeah, well, I could hear her voice every single day as soon as I get her home and she's safe. Look, thank you for coming all the way up with me like that. I appreciate that.
Madison: I'd do anything to help get Emma back. Just wish I could have made some kind of difference.
Ryan: You were there for me when I needed you. That's a lot. It is. I'm just gonna call the FBI and let them know that we're back. Ok? What? What is it?
Madison: I'm fine. They don't tell you how bad heartburn can be when you're pregnant. Remember that time we went for Mexican food and you ate that habaņero pepper?
Ryan: Yeah. What did Emma say? She said that I was gonna get "heart hurt" if I kept eating it.
Madison: Yes. She laughed so hard at that face you were making. That silly giggle. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to --
Ryan: No, no. It's fine. It's that laugh that keeps me going right now. It's interesting as a dad. It's really those simple things that become so incredibly precious. Well, you're gonna find out for yourself soon enough.
Madison: I should go.
Ryan: Hey, Madison, don't go. Not yet.
Kendall: All right. Listen, I've been out of touch. I know that. But this is my company, too. So if it's in trouble, I want to help us get out of it.
Greenlee: The new line may have to be scrapped.
Kendall: What? Why?
Greenlee: The FDA found a potential toxin in the lipstick and blush formula.
Kendall: Oh, my God. Great. What kind of a toxin?
Greenlee: Here's the report. If you rub rats in 10 pounds of it, they get sick.
Kendall: I can't believe this is happening to us again. This is like Bella perfume all over again.
Greenlee: There will be enough time for blame games later. Right now we have to put out the fire. Would have been nice if I could have reached you last night.
Kendall: I told you, I was dealing with something.
Greenlee: You're not the only one dealing with drama. It's not like my world isn't falling apart.
Kendall: Is it Emma?
Greenlee: We got a lead, but instead of being by Ryan's side while he went off looking, I was here with Randi and the rest of the department heads all night trying to salvage something out of this mess.
Kendall: Did Ryan find her?
Greenlee: No. But he went off to Boston with his ex-girlfriend, because apparently Madison is the only one that poor frightened little Emma wants to talk to these days.
Kendall: I should have been here.
Greenlee: And I should have been with Ryan.
Kendall: All right, Greenlee, listen. If you're worried about Madison being with Ryan, don't. She's having a baby with Scott Chandler. I'm sure the last thing on her mind is reconnecting with Ryan.
Ryan: I want to call the FBI and have them recommend a child psychologist in case Emma calls you again, so that you're sort of prepared as to what to say to her.
Madison: Yeah. I'm here whenever you need me.
Ryan: Hey, let me make you some breakfast or something, something to eat. It was a long night. It's the least I can do.
Madison: No. That's sweet. Thank you. I don't think my stomach is up for it yet.
Ryan: Right. Because you are still in your first trimester, right?
Madison: Right. Almost my second. Oh!
Ryan: What? Ok, you know what? That is more than heartburn. Can you sit down, please, and just take it easy?
Ryan: Just rest, ok?
Scott: What happened? What did I do?
Jake: You know what you did. You broke into the hospital server. That's not ok. You broke into the technician's sonogram schedules. What, did you try to get Madison an appointment at the top of the list? Don't deny it. It only makes it worse if you deny it. I know you did it, because I have corroboration.
Scott: Ok, listen. Let me explain to you. Madison, see, she was upset. She was concerned about the baby, and she wanted the sonogram to make sure everything was ok. That's all.
Jake: You know what you do in that case? You pick up the phone. You get in line like everybody else. You make a phone call. Call me, but you don't break into the system. That is a violation of policy. That is instant termination.
Scott: Ok, listen, Jake. All I was doing was helping Madison here. That's all I was gonna do. Never -- you know how hard I've been working around here. I streamlined the I.T. department, right? I plugged holes in the security system.
Jake: Obviously not the holes related to sonogram scheduling. That's not funny. Don't do it again. I know you did it. I'm letting you off with a warning this time. Next time --
Scott: There is no next time. I got it. Thanks.
Amanda: I love when you're all bossish. Sounds like Scott got a second chance on something. Well, you got another one handy? You could use it after last night. Forgive me?
Griffin: He's not the one you should be apologizing to.
Tad: You go ahead.
Cara: No, no, no. To the bed. You got to stretch.
Tad: I'm telling you, I don't want -- ow!
Cara: Come on. Can you make it? Are you sure?
Tad: Absolutely. No, I'm like this every day.
Cara: I want you to get to the bed. I should have taken the couch. I told you, I wouldn't have had to scrunch the way that you did.
Tad: Come on.
Cara: Yeah, you look good.
Tad: What kind of bridegroom would I be if I denied my new wife the use of the bridal bed?
Cara: Ok, hold on a second. We're gonna get you to the bed, you're gonna lie down, you're gonna rest, and you know what I'm gonna do? Call up some breakfast.
Tad: Oh, man. Oh!
Cara: Oh, my God! Now you're on the floor.
Tad: I got to hand it to you. I've had a lot of wild wedding nights in my time, but that's the first time I ever lost the use of my legs.
Cara: Yeah, well, that's how I roll, Tad. Ha ha ha!
Griffin: Cara told me. You were the one who sicced Immigration on her.
Jake: Look, let's just --
Griffin: Now because of you, she has to keep the next 3 years of her life on hold, pretending to love a man to keep herself from being deported and killed.
Amanda: I never knew that her life was in danger. I never would have made the call if I had.
Griffin: Oh, but you didn't mind using it to get her kicked out of the country?
Jake: Hold on a minute. She's saying that she knows that she made a mistake.
Griffin: Jake, no wonder you were so supportive of Cara and Tad getting married. You knew your wife was responsible for this whole mess.
Amanda: If I could undo it all, I would.
Griffin: But you can't. And now Cara gets to suffer because of your jealousy. That's what this is all about, isn't it? Look, Jake, all I want from you is to do right by Cara now. Don't ruin her career like you have her personal life. Make sure she has a job here. Keep her working here full-time.
Jake: Griffin, I am happy to recommend her, but the final decision is not mine. It's up to the board. The board has final approval.
Griffin: The name "Martin" is all over this building. If Joe Martin's son, chief of staff of this hospital, can get anybody working here full-time, I'm sure he could swing it. Lean on the board, talk to your best bud Angie Hubbard, whatever. Just make sure Cara works here.
Amanda: I'm really so sorry.
Amanda: Thank you for sticking up for me.
Jake: Of course. What else am I gonna do? Come on.
Amanda: Do you think you could help her get a permanent job here?
Jake: I can try. The board is gonna have a whole problem with the immigration thing. Also, Cara, she took on the parents of this young girl who had leukemia and she fought with them. They remember this. The whole thing is gonna be a hard sell, but I'll do what I can do. It's all I can do.
Voice on P.A.: Dr. Flores, dial 182, please. Dr. Flores, please dial --
Nurse: Dr. Castillo? Didn't you discharge Mr. Carlson?
Griffin: Yes. He was being driven back to Richmond.
Nurse: This came for him. Maybe someone else could use some cheering up.
Ricky: Are you trying to get yourself hurt? You know better than to sneak up on me.
Diana: Or maybe I knew I was perfectly safe, because you're off your game. A few months ago you would have known I was there before I got out of the car. But these days you're more interested in lounging around some cozy house in the burbs, caressing photographs of sweet, young widows.
Ricky: Are you kidding me right now?
Diana: I saw you break into Kendall's. I watched as you caressed her photographs like some poor, little lovesick puppy.
Kendall: I thought I was keeping up to date.
Greenlee: Look, I know you've been having a tough time lately with the box you found and the letter from Zach, but you also insisted that I not treat you any differently because of everything you've gone through.
Kendall: I meant what I said. I haven't just lost Zach. I've lost my whole sense of direction, my priorities that I've given myself, my boys. I mean, since Zach died, it's like I've forgotten them, too. And now I'm so obsessed with Zach's letter, and it probably doesn't mean anything at all.
Greenlee: You know what? Don't beat yourself up. A letter from Zach -- I mean, it's one last chance to communicate with him. Of course, you're gonna examine every little comma.
Kendall: But look where it's gotten me. Neglecting the business that you and I started together. Becoming so paranoid that I practically bashed your dad and my mom over the head with a fire poker.
Greenlee: Excuse me?
Kendall: Yes. They stopped by unexpectedly, and I was so caught up in Zach's letter and freaked out about it that I picked up a fire poker, and I swung it.
Greenlee: But no one was hurt.
Kendall: No. They're fine, but it was a huge wake-up call. It was one that I need to listen to. All right? So where do we start and what do we do?
Greenlee: Right about now, all we can do is pray. Human sacrifices, maybe?
Kendall: Well, we could always cook up some lip color on the stove in my kitchen.
Greenlee: If I thought that's all we needed to do, I'd be getting ingredients and grabbing the soup pot, but we need to wait for the lab analysis to see if we can find replacement ingredients, see how bad this really is. I was gonna go out and get a cappuccino for everyone that's been here all night. Do you want one?
Kendall: No. You know what? Let me take care of that. Why don't you take a breather, ok? I will stop by the hospital, and I will be back with the caffeine. Hey. I'm sorry I wasn't here for you.
Greenlee: Better late than never. Ryan, it's me. Just thinking about you, hoping that you have some good news, and I hope that you get home safe and sound -- and soon.
Madison: Who are you calling?
Ryan: I'm calling Scott.
Madison: No, don't. I don't want to worry him about nothing.
Ryan: Madison, you're pregnant, and you're having cramps. That's not nothing.
Madison: Well, they came, and they went, but they're gone now. I'm fine. Don't call.
Ryan: Ok. Ok. But I'd like you just to hang out and take it easy for a little while, ok? I don't want you to go to work until I know that you're 100% ok.
Madison: I appreciate that, but I'm fine.
Ryan: Come on. I'm feeling guilty enough as it is. I mean, I'm the one who dragged you up to Boston and made you hang out at the waterfront until the wee hours of the morning for a meeting that never happened.
Madison: You have nothing to feel guilty about. I wanted to help. All I've been able to do so far is answer a couple of phone calls from Emma. I wish I could do more.
Ryan: Are you kidding me right now? You've done so much more than that. I mean, you're the one Emma's been reaching out to. You're her friend. You're someone special in her life. That's why she feels safe with you. That's also why I know you're gonna be a great mom to that little girl that you're carrying. There's nothing in the world like a little girl.
Ryan: Is that Emma?
Madison: No. It's Greenlee. I'm sure Greenlee wants to talk to you.
Greenlee: Hi. Where are you?
Ryan: We just got in.
Greenlee: I tried calling you before. I thought you were still in Boston on some new lead.
Ryan: No. You probably were trying to call in while I was trying to call Scott to tell him Madison's having some cramps.
Greenlee: Is she ok?
Ryan: She says she's ok.
Madison: I am.
Greenlee: I'm sorry about Emma. Next time.
Ryan: Yeah. Look, I don't want to tie Madison's phone up too long just in case Emma tries to call in, so talk to you later?
Greenlee: Sure. Love you.
Ricky: Do not spy on me again.
Diana: I only did it because I'm worried about you. If you don't get those stars and hearts out of your eyes, you are going to walk yourself straight into prison.
Ricky: I see everything just fine, ok?
Diana: I'm serious, Ricky. We need to talk about what's happening to you.
Ricky: In a perfect world, Kendall --
Diana: We live in this world, the world where you killed her husband. Look, let's go back to the hotel. I can get you to focus back where it counts.
Ricky: It's not happening, Diana.
Diana: Someday you'll see that you are making a big mistake.
Kendall: Excuse me. Hi. Could you tell me where I can find Dr. Castillo?
Nurse: Oh, I think you just missed him.
Kendall: Oh. Do me a favor, could you --
Griffin: That wouldn't happen to be a large quad-shot espresso, would it? That's my favorite. You know, I had a feeling I'd be seeing you today.
Tad: Hurry, hurry. What took you so long? What's the point of getting hitched if your wife doesn't do chores?
Cara: What did you put in this thing?
Tad: We still got our federal chaperones on board.
Cara: Right. You'd think that the government would have more important things to do. You know what I'm saying?
Tad: I know, you'd think, but obviously Agent Trumbull's trying to kill himself making sure we slip up. So that means we got to get into character, so come on.
Cara: I'm in character. What are we doing?
Tad: What do you mean, what am I doing? I'm gonna carry you over the threshold.
Cara: No, no, no, because you'll hurt your back again. You're gonna throw it out.
Tad: Easy on the ego. Let's review, ok? Number one, I got a little snow on the roof, I'm a lot sturdier than I look. Number two --
Cara: Yeah, work that out.
Tad: You're about 90 pounds soaking wet. So come on.
Cara: All right. This way. Oh, gosh. Are you ok?
Tad: Yeah. Open the door. There we go.
Randi: There are some really great ideas in here. I got to get back to pulling those files.
Scott: Hey, Greenlee, is Madison here?
Greenlee: No. She should be soon. I talked to Ryan. They just got back.
Scott: Ah. They were out all night, huh?
Greenlee: Yeah, but Annie never showed. Hang for a little bit. They should be here pretty soon.
Scott: You seem to be pretty cool with all this.
Greenlee: With what?
Scott: Your husband staying out all night with his ex in a completely different city, and she happens to be pregnant with his baby.
Greenlee: The only reason they left and went up there was to find Emma. That's all that matters to anyone right now.
Ryan: So you are sure that you're ok?
Madison: It's just reassuring to keep a hand here. Ah!
Ryan: Mad --
Ryan: Madison, ok. Take it easy. I'm gonna get you to the hospital. Come on, we got to go.
Cara: You can put me down.
Tad: No, I can't.
Cara: No, no, really. Immigration, they can't see through the walls. It's ok. Put me down.
Tad: No, really. I can't. My back went out again.
Cara: Oh, no. Really?
Tad: Jake, a little help, please?
Jake: What are you doing taking her up in your arms in the first place? You think it's necessary to try to kill yourself?
Tad: Just kind of goes with the dinner. Somebody help me get to the couch.
Jake: Ay yi yi.
Amanda: Don't you guys think you're taking this a little far?
Tad: Nope. No such thing. Get over there.
Cara: I'm trying.
Tad: Got to make the whole honeymoon thing look real.
Tad: Couple of federal chimps in an unmarked car out front. What are you doing here anyway? Did you miss me already?
Jake: No. I came to talk to Cara about her position at the hospital.
Cara: What about it?
Jake: Well, I figure you're gonna be around for 3 years, you know. Wanted to see if you're interested in a permanent position at the hospital, so I put your name in with the board for approval.
Cara: Oh. Yeah, I kind of just figured I could just keep on doing what I've been doing.
Jake: No. It doesn't work that way. Anybody who has a full-time job at the hospital, a full-time position, they have to be board approved. But, of course, if you're not interested in it, I can hook you up at West Valley.
Cara: No. I love working at PVH, so -- is moving me to another hospital your idea, Amanda?
Kendall: Is that for me?
Griffin: What, this?
Griffin: No. This was for a patient that's just been released.
Griffin: Is that for me?
Kendall: No. It's mine.
Griffin: Oh. I didn't know you liked your caffeine as concentrated as I do. You might want to be careful with that, with your heart and everything. So what are you doing here?
Kendall: My heart. Hello? We have a follow-up checkup. Don't you know we have a checkup?
Griffin: Actually, that's not for a couple of days.
Kendall: Oh. Oh, right! You know, I must have confused it with a root canal that I have scheduled.
Griffin: Oh. I could see how you could confuse the two.
Kendall: Yeah. All right, well, I got to run. The Novocain awaits, so I'll see you.
Griffin: Kendall. Come out with it. We both know why you're here, and I accept.
Kendall: Accept what?
Griffin: Uh, your apology for overreacting the way you did last night.
Kendall: Overreacting? You were the one who told me to take the letter to the police.
Griffin: Because I believed that you had evidence saying that Zach was murdered.
Griffin: If you didn't want my help, why would you share your suspicions with me in the first place?
Kendall: I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't have. Maybe I should have just put that letter right back in the box and let it be.
Griffin: No. We both know you wouldn't be satisfied with that.
Kendall: It's been hard enough coping with Zach's death, but now trying to figure out what this letter means, it's done nothing but eat away at what's left of my life. It's time for it to stop.
Griffin: So you really don't believe that Zach was trying to tell you something?
Kendall: I believe I wanted Zach to be telling me something. I would do anything to get another letter from him, and I probably would find some secret hidden message in that, too. But don't you get it? I'm completely torturing myself over this. I can't do this anymore. It's time for me to stop, and I have to stop now. And you need to let me.
Scott: So, um, when did Ryan and Madison become a big "who cares?" For you?
Greenlee: I'm just thinking about Emma. Whatever it takes to get her back.
Scott: I find this whole thing ironic. You're more than happy to help Ryan find one of his kids, but then you'll do whatever it takes to keep him from finding about that he has another.
Greenlee: Madison doesn't want him to know. You told me that yourself. At least not yet.
Scott: Maybe not at all.
Greenlee: What? Are you -- you want to pretend to be the father, like, for good?
Scott: Isn't that what you want? I mean, you're the one who came to me in the first place. You wanted me to keep Madison occupied, away from Ryan, and you were very, very grateful when I stepped up and claimed to be the father of the child.
Greenlee: Is that what you want, to be the baby's father from here on out?
Scott: Look, I want to help Madison. She says that she wants to be this independent working mother, but raising a kid on your own, it's a lot easier said than done.
Greenlee: And what do you get out of it again?
Scott: Well, regardless of our deal, I actually like Madison, and I want to help her through this. I want to be there for her, for her baby. And I don't know, maybe it's just me making up for all the mistakes I made that got me landed in prison, but it makes me feel good.
Greenlee: You really mean that, don't you?
Greenlee: Wow. What do you know?
Greenlee: I can really see a little bit of Stuart in you.
Scott: Ha ha ha! My dad, he set the bar pretty high. If I could just be half the man he was, and I think while he's looking down on me, he'd be proud. Look, I don't know what Madison's gonna want, all right, but I'll play along for as long as she wants me to.
Ryan: Nurse? We're gonna need a doctor. Please, she's in pain. It could be the baby. Who's your Ob?
Madison: Dr. Kantor.
Ryan: Dr. Kantor, please, if she's available.
Nurse: She's not. Dr. Kim is on call.
Madison: Ryan, I'm scared.
Ryan: It's all right. We'll get you seen right away.
Madison: Don't leave me, please.
Ryan: I'm not going anywhere.
Amanda: You've got the wrong idea.
Jake: Actually, it was Amanda's idea to help you get a full-time job at Pine Valley. I recommended you to the board, so it's just a matter of whether they can see past the whole immigration and passport fraud thing.
Cara: Ok, I get it. I know where we're going with this. I don't really want to talk about it right now, so if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna just unpack my things.
Amanda: I'll help you.
Cara: No. I got it. Really.
Amanda: Please. I'll give you a hand.
Jake: What exactly did I --
Tad: Well, I'm guessing that relationship is gonna need a little work.
Jake: So I'm assuming last night was a little awkward.
Tad: No. Actually, it wasn't half bad. She's very funny. Let's face it, room service and a wide variety of classic films helped a great deal.
Jake: Room service?
Tad: Yeah. I figure in for a dime, in for a dollar. We got Agent Turmbull and his merry men watching every move you make, so I sprung for a hotel room, you know, and tried to sell the whole romantic wedding night scenario.
Jake: Tad, let me ask you something. How far do you feel you actually have to go to sell this whole thing?
Tad: What are you asking me? Me and Cara --
Tad: Good. Though I'd understand if you did. I mean, Lord knows, I'm a catch. Now would you help me put this on the coffee table?
Greenlee: I can't believe in the middle of all this, I've got to get to the hospital and sign paperwork. Madison should be here soon.
Scott: Yeah. I can't believe they came up empty-handed. What we all need to remember here is that Annie, she loves Emma, and she would never do anything to hurt her.
Greenlee: Yeah, but Emma should be with her dad. I just hope to God she calls again soon.
Scott: Why do you think she keeps calling Madison?
Greenlee: I don't know. I'm just glad she's calling someone. It gives Ryan, it gives all of us the only shred of hope we've had to hang on to. Hey. I hope Madison knows how lucky she is to have someone like you around.
Scott: It's worked out for everyone, hasn't it?
Kendall: This isn't easy. You know how much I've invested in this.
Griffin: You convinced me there was something there. Because of your love and Zach's. You made a believer out of me.
Kendall: Well, I still believe in following your heart. But my boys are also my heart, and I need to move forward for them.
Griffin: I understand.
Kendall: I don't want to feel like I'm losing another piece of Zach again.
Griffin: I'm sorry. I didn't realize, ok? I promise I will never bring it up again.
Kendall: Thank you. You know, I've been carrying this letter around with me everywhere I go, like afraid I was gonna lose it or something, like I would be losing Zach all over again. But I was so wrong. I've got much better and happier memories to focus on. I have dozens and dozens of amazing letters from Zach. I do not need this one. No. No more.
Dr. Kim: No cramping now, though.
Madison: No. But they've gotten worse.
Dr. Kim: How many weeks along are you now?
Ryan: I think you said 11 weeks, right?
Madison: Mm-hmm. Hey, could you do me a favor? Could you go call Scott and tell him where I am and that I'm ok?
Ryan: Yeah. Absolutely. I'll be right back.
Madison: Thanks. Doctor, would it make any difference how far along I am?
Dr. Kim: Well, yes. Potentially quite a big difference. Why?
Madison: Because I lied. I'm further along than I said.
Tad: Jake, come on. I slept on the couch. Why do you think I'm doing "Gorillas in the Mist" this morning? Come on. Let's watch the video.
Jake: I don't need to watch the video. I was there live.
Tad: No, that's not what I'm talking about. I mean, we got to check it for dings and dents, make sure there's nothing that screams "fake wedding" to Turmbull. You know, no winks, nudges, or Opal rolling her eyes.
Jake: I don't even really remember a camera being there. Was there?
Tad: Very funny. One thing's for sure, this thing is worth its weight in gold in entertainment value. I never knew charming could be so exhausting.
Jake: What do you think they're talking about down there? I'm actually gonna get Amanda out of here. I'm not comfortable with it. I got to get going.
Tad: What are you talking about? Don't be ridiculous, man. Come on, stick around. I thought you came by to make peace. That was the whole point. If the four of us can't get through dinner, we're in serious trouble.
Cara: You know what? I don't need your help. I can do this on my own.
Amanda: I just wanted to talk to you for a second.
Cara: Well, it's been a rough 24 hours, so maybe we could do this some other time.
Amanda: I want to clear the air between us.
Cara: Things wouldn't have gotten muddy if you hadn't turned me in to the Feds.
Amanda: I know that, and I'm very sorry. I'm hoping there's a way we can put everything behind us, you know? We're gonna have to be family now.
Cara: Well, you know what they say, "You can choose your friends, you can't choose your family."
Amanda: Look, I'm trying to reach out here. I'm hoping there's a way I can help you adjust to your new life.
Cara: Jake is not around. You can cut the act.
Amanda: It's not an act. Don't you think I feel bad for what's happened to you, what you have to go through because of what I did? I just wish that you would stop assuming the worst about me.
Cara: After what you did, Amanda, what do you expect?
Kendall: Thanks, Randi. Just tell Greenlee I'll be at the office in a little bit. Ok. Bye.
Ricky: Hey. I am so glad I caught you at home.
Kendall: How do you always know just the right time to stop by?
Ricky: I have an in with a higher power, remember?
Kendall: Right. Come in, please.
Ricky: Thank you. Actually I just thought that you would be feeling a little down after that fight I saw you get into yesterday with the good doctor. Is everything ok?
Kendall: Yeah. Everything's fine, including everything with Griffin.
Ricky: Good. Nothing serious, then?
Kendall: No. He was trying to get me to pursue something that was not in my best interest to pursue.
Ricky: Mm-hmm. And you set him straight, right?
Kendall: Yes, I did, loud and clear.
Ricky: Well, let's hope he got the message.
Kendall: He did. I need to move on, and he understands that now.
Ricky: Good. Do you -- understand it?
Kendall: Well, it's gonna be hard. Letting go of that is almost like letting go of a piece of Zach.
Ricky: Well, whatever it was, know that he'll always be there with you. Zach has laid claim to a big part of your heart. Nobody can ever take that away.
Kendall: You're right, of course.
Ricky: You need to focus on the good times that you had with him, those special moments and those special places that you shared together. And I'm gonna help you with that.
Kendall: Thank you.
Dr. Kim: Whatever your reasons, you should have told me this before.
Madison: I'm sorry.
Dr. Kim: So how far along are you now really?
Madison: 19 weeks.
Ryan: 19 weeks? 19 weeks ago, Scott wasn't even out of prison. I'm the father.
