J.R.: Hey. This some of your stuff?
Asher: It's all of it. I like to travel light.
J.R.: Hmm. Well, let me give you a hand with it.
Asher: I've got it covered. And, hey, I just really wanted to let you know that I appreciate you letting me crash here for a while.
J.R.: Asher, you live here. Feel free to stay as long as you like.
J.R.: In fact, this place was starting to feel a little empty. We need family to keep it alive. So if you ever need anything -- anything at all, talk to the maids. I'm just kidding. I'm here for you.
Asher: All right. Thanks, man. Whew.
Bianca: Working late again, I see. You have time for a little break?
Caleb: What's up?
Bianca: I am helping Kendall and Zach plan their Thanksgiving dinner. It's going to be, you know, family and close friends. Just all the people who mean the most to us.
Caleb: I'm not very good at that kind of thing.
Bianca: Uh, eating turkey?
Caleb: No, I'm -- just pretty busy.
Bianca: Ok. Well, you have plans with Asher?
Caleb: No, why would I?
Bianca: I don't know -- he's your son?
Bianca: When is the last time you shared a holiday with anyone?
Caleb: Have fun. I'll get back to you.
Bianca: All right.
Annie: Is everything ok?
Kendall: Yeah, yeah. I just wanted to give you an update on what's going on with Ryan.
Annie: Well, Emma called him this morning, but he hasn't called her back, which is very unlike him. Did he find that witness to clear Greenlee?
Kendall: Well, according to Jack, they found a witness that said David paid him off. So Zach is on his way there right now to get them and bring them home.
Annie: Wow. Great. Well, Ryan to the rescue again.
Kendall: Yup. Well, I just thought you should know.
Annie: Thanks. I have a feeling there's something else.
Kendall: Yeah. Um, do you remember what Ryan said about the two of us? That we would always be connected because of our kids?
Annie: Emma loves Spike and Ian. She talks about them all the time.
Kendall: Look, we have history. You have done some horrible things to me and the people that I love. But the holidays are almost here, so I'd like to make you an offer.
Greenlee: Didn't Zach say he'd get here?
Ryan: You can relax.
Greenlee: No, I can't. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. Only I'm not opening presents, I get to go home and be free. That is going to happen, right?
Ryan: Without a doubt.
Greenlee: David paid this guy the day he died to plant the drug in your pocket, and Liza can't spin it any other way, can she?
Ryan: No, Greenlee, she can't. We got everything we need right here.
Greenlee: Then it'll be over. Finally over.
Ryan: And nothing can come between us.
Greenlee: How many times have we said that before?
Ryan: But this time --
Greenlee: It's going to work out.
Ryan: Yeah. 'Cause I never stopped, Greenlee. I never stopped loving you. I've tried, but it was always you.
Greenlee: Ok. So I think we need to be logical here.
Ryan: We have to be logical? I've never heard those words come out of your mouth, especially when you're talking about us.
Greenlee: I'm serious. What are we going to do when we get back?
Ryan: You mean other than celebrate like crazy?
Greenlee: You don't think that we should take things slowly?
Greenlee: Well, yeah. I mean, a part of me wants to jump in with both feet and pick up where we left off two years ago.
Ryan: And what about the other parts?
Greenlee: Well, David's death is still fresh in people's minds. And even if I'm free, they're going to be watching us.
Ryan: And since when do you care about what other people think?
Greenlee: Ryan, I -- I just -- I want this to be right. I want this to be so strong that nobody can ever tear us apart.
Ryan: It will be. I promise you that right here. I mean, just look at the -- the string on your finger.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, it's one thing to be here, but to be back in the real world?
Ryan: You know, maybe you're right. Maybe we should take it slow. No more -- [Kiss] No more of that. At least, not in public. I'll just resist the temptation. That's fine. I can do that. I totally can. You, on the other hand -- I'm not so sure you're going to be able to.
Greenlee: You honestly think you're that irresistible?
Ryan: Oh. Yes. Absolutely. Mm-hmm.
Greenlee: Mmm. Mmm. Ok. Ok, ok, ok. The hell with people watching. We've waited long enough.
Ryan: Yeah, we've waited way too long.
Greenlee: Maybe I'll just move in, once the charges are dismissed.
Ryan: See, I told you.
Greenlee: We're going to be having a real Christmas together.
Ryan: Best present I could ever have.
Greenlee: Oh, come on. Oh, come on, where is Zach?
Ryan: Hey --
Ryan: I got an idea of -- how we can pass the time.
Greenlee: You do, huh? [Kissing]
Asher: I told you I was moving in.
Colby: No, no -- yeah, I know. I just -- I wasn't expecting it to be tonight.
Asher: I'll try to keep it down since, you know, you're right down the hall. That's still ok, right?
Colby: Sure, of course.
Asher: I just, you know, don't want you to be uncomfortable or anything.
Colby: No. No, no. Like I said before, it doesn't matter to me where you stay. I mean, why? Should it matter at all?
Asher: No, no reason. Just asking.
Colby: Ok. Well, I got to go. I'm going to go out -- I'm actually going to Krystal's to see Damon. We're going to go see a movie or something like that.
Asher: Ok. See you around.
Colby: Mm-hmm, see you around.
Annie: You're inviting me for Thanksgiving? As an actual guest, not to stuff and carve?
Kendall: I wanted a big bash this year, and Zach pretty much told me I could invite whoever I wanted.
Annie: I -- I don't know what to say, Kendall. Thank you.
Kendall: Well, Zach and I are the ones who are thankful, for being home for the holidays with the people that we love. And if Ryan and Greenlee get back in time, I know he would want to have Emma there. And you, too.
Annie: I'm not so sure about that, but --
Kendall: You know what? If we reserved the holidays for families who didn't have any problems, no one would ever show up.
Kendall: So, yeah. So you'll come?
Annie: Yeah, we'd love to.
Kendall: Great, great. Ok. All right.
Annie: Oh, there's just one thing.
Kendall: What's that?
Annie: J.R. It's not what you think. He's just had a really rough year, and it's only going to be him and A.J. alone at the mansion and maybe Colby, if she's not out with one of her many boyfriends. So I was wondering if --
Kendall: If they can come? Sorry. That's going to be a deal breaker.
Colby: Oh, Jan, hi. Have you seen Damon anywhere?
Jan: Oh, you just missed him. He's out on a delivery run. It might be a little while.
Caleb: Excuse me.
Caleb: You're Asher's friend, aren't you?
Colby: Yes, I guess so.
Caleb: I wonder if you'd do me a favor. I have something here. It belonged to his mother. And she'd like him to have this.
Colby: Ok, but why don't you give it to him yourself?
Caleb: Well, I think you know how he feels about me, and he'd never accept it from me. Look, you can tell him that you found it. You can tell him whatever you want. But I'd appreciate it if you'd give it to him. Can you do that?
Colby: Ok, I will.
Caleb: Thank you. Take good care of that.
[Knock on door]
Asher: Hey. I thought you were hooking up with Damon tonight.
Colby: No, he's working.
Asher: The dude never quits.
Colby: I know. I think I'm going to hang out with him later.
Asher: That's cool. Is there something else?
Colby: Um -- this is for you.
Asher: What's this?
Colby: It belonged to your mother.
Asher: Where did you get it?
Colby: Caleb. I ran into him at Krystal's.
Asher: I don't want anything from Caleb.
Colby: I know. He told me that you would say something like that, so he wanted me to make up some stupid story of me finding it or stealing it, but I just thought it was stupid, so, um -- it's yours now.
Asher: No, thanks.
Colby: Asher, I think that you should take it.
Asher: I said -- I said no. Ok?
Colby: Why? Is it because it's from Caleb?
Asher: What, is he, like, trying to buy me off now?
Colby: No, I think that he honestly wanted you to have it. Your mom's picture's inside. Have you ever got a picture from her. Or do you have a picture of her?
Colby: Do you even know what she looks like?
Asher: No, I don't.
Greenlee: Oh, wait. It's Zach. Hey! Hey, you did it. Yeah, well, we couldn't have done it without you.
Ryan: Thank you, Zach. Thank you.
Greenlee: Where are you? Ok, will do. Bye. He's about to land.
Greenlee: We're going home.
Greenlee: We're going home.
Annie: I know you and J.R. have had your issues, but --
Kendall: Everyone in Pine Valley has had issues with J.R. That's not even the biggest problem.
Annie: Then what is it?
Kendall: Caleb Cortlandt. Yeah, Bianca already invited him to dinner.
Kendall: So with Caleb on one side and my mother on the other, I don't think J.R. would feel too comfortable passing the cranberry sauce.
Annie: Right. I totally get it. It doesn't even matter. It's not like J.R. and I are -- at all. I was just asking because of A.J. and Emma, that's all.
Kendall: Ok, I just think it would make things awkward for everyone.
Annie: I totally get it.
Kendall: All right. Well, you know, the invitation is definitely still there for you and Emma, ok? So we will see you.
Annie: Um, thanks, Kendall. I really appreciate it, especially after the year Emma and I have had, but --
Kendall: You're not coming?
Annie: A.J. and Emma have become really close. They're almost like brother and sister. And Colby hates me, but I can handle her.
Kendall: And J.R.?
Annie: J.R., um -- well, no matter how bad J.R. can be, I don't think he deserves to be alone with A.J. in that empty house on Thanksgiving.
Kendall: You know, it is -- it's a very big table. Yeah.
Kendall: Yeah. I mean, you practically have to use a microphone to talk to someone, so -- I could always put J.R. on the opposite ends of Caleb and my mom and Zach.
Annie: You'd go to all that trouble?
Kendall: Do you want me to change my mind?
Annie: No, no.
Kendall: Yeah, ok. Let's just do this. You know what? Actually, I'm going to have to do the same thing for Greenlee and my mom once she gets back, so this way, we can just set up our walls of defense.
Annie: Are you going to be able to seat anyone next to each other?
Kendall: My God, I don't know. I have no idea. I think this is going to be kind of complicated.
Annie: You're going to have to teleconference Thanksgiving this year, for sure.
Kendall: Fantastic, yes. Ok, you know what? I will figure out some kind of a seating chart for sure. Just tell J.R. and A.J. they can come.
Annie: Thank you.
Kendall: I mean, the holidays are about the kids, anyway. I know the boys would love to see A.J. Do you want to help me with the seating chart?
Annie: Yeah. No time like the present.
Kendall: Yeah, let's do it. You know, besides, what fun is Thanksgiving without a few fireworks?
Annie: Oh, God.
Greenlee: Oh. Come on. That's our ride. Do we have everything?
Greenlee: What was that?
Ryan: Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Greenlee: Zach? Zach! Zach!
Ryan: You need to call 911.
Greenlee: What? What?
Ryan: Call 911. Get the Coast Guard here right away. Just call them!
Kendall: I was just thinking of --
Annie: Are you ok?
Kendall: Yeah. Yeah, I just -- I was just out of breath for a second. Oh, God, I don't know. I'm probably just really excited. I've got some big days ahead.
Colby: Um, I think I'm going to leave you alone.
Asher: No, not yet.
Colby: Ok. I'll stay. But I think that you should open it. I know you hate the guy, but -- Asher, it's your mom.
Asher: Yeah, and he's the one who killed her.
Colby: But you don't know that for a fact, do you?
Asher: I asked him straight up, and he couldn't even answer me.
Colby: Well, maybe because -- I don't know -- it's painful for him.
Asher: Why do you even care if I open it?
Colby: Because -- I think that it would mean something to you. Everyone deserves to know where they come from.
Colby: She's really beautiful.
Colby: She kind of looks like you, just a little bit.
Asher: I'm sorry.
Colby: For what?
Asher: Being such an ass.
Colby: Well, you are sometimes, but it's ok.
Asher: Thanks for doing this.
Colby: I'm not the one to thank.
Asher: Hey, Mom.
Annie: Kendall and Zach have invited all of us for Thanksgiving dinner.
Annie: Me and Emma, you and A.J., Colby -- lots of people.
J.R.: You're serious?
Kendall: Our kids are happy and healthy.
J.R.: I never wanted anything else.
Kendall: I believe that. So, what we're trying to do here is keep you as far away from my mother and Caleb as humanly possible.
J.R.: All right, wait a minute. He's going to be there?
Annie: Bianca invited him.
J.R.: Then I don't think it's such a great idea that we go.
Annie: Ok, we're working on it, J.R., all right? Kendall was nice enough to extend the invitation. I think we can all behave ourselves for one meal. Right?
J.R.: I can be civil.
J.R.: We'll be there. And thank you.
Kendall: Of course. I just want this to be a special Thanksgiving. Not just for me and Zach, but for the kids, too. For all the kids. It would be nice to show them that us adults can actually get along for once.
J.R.: Just make sure you keep the sharp objects and utensils away from Marissa.
Kendall: Oh, don't worry. Zach will be there to keep the peace.
Greenlee: Yes, a plane crash off the coast. The east side of Santa Margo Island. Please hurry.
[Ryan swims out to the plane]
Greenlee: Oh, God. Please be alive, Zach. Please be alive. No. No, no, no, no, no. You're ok, Zach. You're going to be ok.
Ryan: Zach! Zach! [Dives underwater repeatedly] Zach!
Bianca: Is everything ok?
Kendall: Yeah. Yeah, I'm actually just thinking about Zach looking at that list.
Bianca: He's going to wonder if you lost your mind.
Kendall: Oh, come on, it's not that bad.
Bianca: Oh. Is that Annie on the list?
Kendall: Yes, it is, and it was her idea to invite J.R.
Bianca: Do you think they're, you know --
Kendall: I -- you know, it wouldn't surprise me. She says they're not, for whatever that's worth.
Bianca: Wow. What a night this is going to be. Thanksgiving at 40 paces.
Kendall: Oh, it'll be fun, Binx.
Bianca: Well, "fun" -- that's not exactly the word I would use for it. You're going to have Caleb and J.R. glaring at each other from across the table. Mom and Greenlee pretending to be polite. Better bring your pepper spray.
Kendall: I don't think it's going to be like that at all.
Bianca: Well, I hope you're right. But come on. Consider the cast of characters.
Kendall: I am not listening to you. No. I am determined to make this a very special Thanksgiving for all of us. Who knows? Maybe we'll even convince Reese to visit.
Bianca: You never know.
Annie: Well, that was nice, huh? What Kendall did?
J.R.: Yes, it was.
Annie: It was the last thing in the world I expected.
J.R.: When you included me, you didn't --
Annie: No. I made it about friendship. And that is what it's about. I just -- I don't want you and A.J. being alone on Thanksgiving.
J.R.: Still, it must have been a hard sell to get Kendall to add me to her list.
Annie: Not really. She's in a good place now. She's so in love with Zach, I don't think she has a grudge about anything. What, you don't think that's true?
J.R.: I don't know. Maybe. Does it matter?
Annie: Because I think it's great what they have, and I hope to have something like it one day with someone.
J.R.: Ok. Why are you getting all riled up?
Annie: I'm not, I'm just saying, Kendall did something sweet and generous, and you're questioning her motives.
J.R.: I'm not questioning anything. But do I have to remind you that Zach and Kendall weren't always romance novel material?
Annie: I know that, but they never stopped trying. And no matter how bad things got, they never give up. I want that one day. Don't you?
J.R.: Yeah. I do. But you realize, as much as Kendall wants this to be some big love feast, Thanksgiving's going to turn out to be an epic train wreck.
Annie: Then don't come. I'll bring Colby and A.J. myself.
J.R.: I wasn't saying that -- I wasn't saying that I'm not looking forward to being there.
Annie: Why? To watch the train wreck?
J.R.: No. To be with you.
Caleb: Hey. You want to come in?
Asher: So what is this supposed to be? Bait to get me over here?
Caleb: No, it's not bait. Your mother gave that to me, and she'd want you to have it.
Asher: So what am I supposed to do now? Open up to you about her? Call you "Dad"?
Caleb: You don't have to do anything.
Asher: So this was just lying around, and you just suddenly thought, "Oh, Asher might want that"?
Caleb: I just told you, your mother would like you to have that.
Asher: She would or you would?
Caleb: Does it matter?
Asher: You never just straight up answer me, do you?
Caleb: That is the only picture that I have of your mother, and I thought you might want it.
Asher: The only picture? So that's it? That's everything that's left from her?
Asher: That's more than I've ever had.
Caleb: You should have had more.
Asher: Yeah, but there wasn't any more, was there? This was it, just this one little picture. The rest was just gone. That's the way you wanted it, right?
Caleb: No. That's not the way I wanted it.
Bianca: All right, remind me again why Caleb's son is in the mix.
Kendall: Well, he's temporarily staying with the Chandlers. So how about -- let's put him next to Colby, and we can put Zach in the middle of him and Caleb.
Bianca: Yes, yes. Zach will keep anything from getting out of hand.
Kendall: Yeah. You know, this really is like planning a battle.
Bianca: You said it this time, not me. Hey -- hey, I was just kidding. Hey, you know I'm on your side. This is going to work. Hey, it happened again. What is going on?
Kendall: Uh -- I don't know. It's like this -- this sudden chill. It's weird.
Bianca: Well, maybe there's a draft somewhere. Let me see.
Kendall: Yeah. Must be.
Greenlee: Where's Zach? Did you see him?
Ryan: I searched. I couldn't find him. I couldn't find him. I couldn't find the bottom. I couldn't find anything.
Greenlee: Well, he must have got out somehow. He's a really good swimmer and --
Ryan: Greenlee -- Greenlee, he's gone. Zach is gone.
Greenlee: No. Zach is not gone. He's not gone.
Ryan: Stop, stop, stop. Greenlee, stop.
Greenlee: No, we have to go get him, Ryan. We have to find him. We have to!
Caleb: Look, kid, you've got reason to hate me, but you know nothing about my feelings for your mother. Nothing! And you had no idea of what happened.
Asher: Because you don't ever talk about it. All I know is that you killed her.
Caleb: I did not kill your mother. I did everything that I could to save her. And it was as much Adam Chandler's fault as it was mine!
Asher: What did you say? What did J.R.'s father have to do with my mother?
Annie: Why did you say that?
Annie: You know what I'm talking about. Using Thanksgiving as a cover to be with me?
J.R.: Because I meant it. And I wouldn't lie about that.
Annie: You know we can't.
J.R.: I know. If Marissa found out, she'd try to crucify me. I could lose custody of my son.
Annie: We have to keep things where they are right now, as friends.
Annie: I mean it, J.R. Thanksgiving is going to be about spending time with family and friends, ok? No looks across the table, no trying to touch me as I walk by.
J.R.: Would you look at us? Being adults, grownups.
Annie: Yeah, imagine that.
J.R.: I got you all wrong from the start. I figured you for a loose cannon just grabbing money from my father, that you didn't care about anyone but yourself.
Annie: A lot of people still think that that is me.
J.R.: I don't. You have a big heart, Annie. It might be selective at times, but it's generous when it wants to be. You helped me out a lot when other people wouldn't. So you know what I'm grateful for this Thanksgiving? You.
Annie: Thank you.
J.R.: Yeah, I know that it's wrong to be thinking it, but every time I'm around you, all I imagine is us together. I feel alive because of you. Hell, I am alive because of you. And I'm having a hard time shutting that down.
Annie: J.R -- .
J.R.: I know.
Annie: We really shouldn't.
Bianca: Everything ok?
Kendall: Well, yeah. Yeah, but this house has never been drafty.
Bianca: Well, maybe it's all the cold water I keep dumping on all your Thanksgiving plans.
Kendall: Really? I hadn't noticed.
Bianca: Honestly, I think what you and Zach are doing, bringing all these people together, is a good thing.
Kendall: Even you and Reese?
Bianca: You called her?
Kendall: Well, one of us has to.
Bianca: We talk.
Kendall: Ok, when was the last time?
Bianca: She's been incredibly busy. And I doubt she would have enough time to fly all the way out here just for a dinner.
Kendall: Well, you never know unless you ask her. And this is not just any dinner.
Bianca: What did she say on the phone?
Kendall: Well, not much. She wanted to know if you were aware that I was inviting her.
Kendall: I told her that I would talk to you, and she said that she would get back to me and let me know.
Bianca: And that's it?
Kendall: I know how difficult this has been for the two of you.
Bianca: We are working on it.
Kendall: Yeah, I know. It's kind of hard to work on when you guys are a thousand miles away from each other. Do you miss her?
Bianca: Are you kidding?
Kendall: Ok. Well, I'm sure she misses you, too. But one of you, Binx, has got to make a move here.
Bianca: Like you did with Zach?
Kendall: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, God, I can't tell you how many times Zach and I thought it was over. I mean, completely done. Ok? I thought I never wanted to see him again. I told him that. And I'm pretty sure he felt the same way about me. But it took us being alone together and fighting together and falling back in love all over again. And now look at us. Look at us. We've got our whole life ahead of us together. About 60 more crazy Thanksgivings to look forward to.
Greenlee: No, no, let go of me, Ryan! Ryan!
Ryan: Greenlee, you got to stop! Listen, you got to stop.
Greenlee: No, we can't give up on him! We have to find him!
Ryan: Nobody could have survived that, Greenlee, nobody.
Greenlee: Zach could. He's really strong. He could do it, Ryan. He could do it.
Ryan: Listen -- listen to me.
Greenlee: He could do it.
Ryan: Listen to me. Zach was probably dead before the plane even hit the water, Greenlee.
Greenlee: No, don't -- don't say that.
Ryan: I don't want it to be true, either, ok? I searched the --
Greenlee: Stop it, Ryan! He can't be gone! He can't! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God.
Asher: What did Adam Chandler have to do with my mother's death?
Caleb: Never mind. It's -- nothing.
Asher: Huh. So that's it? That's all I get from you? Don't even know why I bothered to come.
Caleb: I don't, either. Look, I thought you'd like to have something that belonged to your mother. If you don't want it, why don't you just leave it on the table on your way out?
Annie: You know I want to.
Annie: If I could, I'd rip your shirt off right now and clear that desk.
J.R.: Well, tearing clothes is good. Touching you, kissing you --
J.R.: Making love to you --
Annie: J.R --
J.R.: Well, there's nobody else around. Just you and me.
Annie: We can't. You can't. You know I am right. God.
J.R.: Doesn't make it any easier. Thank God we're grownups.
Annie: Most of the time.
J.R.: Nice save.
Annie: You, too.
J.R.: I might not have stopped.
Annie: Yes, you would. Because there's too much at stake not to.
J.R.: You know, someday, there won't be anything in our way.
J.R.: But in the meantime --
Annie: In the meantime, I will see you Thanksgiving.
Kendall: Hi, Zach. It's me. I just called to say how much I miss you. And how much I appreciate what you're doing for Ryan and Greenlee. Well, I got some big surprises for Thanksgiving. Oh, yeah. I -- I went a little overboard. You'll see. Anyway, I -- I miss you so much. I can't wait to see you. The boys can't wait to see their daddy, either. I love you more than anything in this whole world. Hurry home. Be safe. I'll be waiting for you.
Ryan: How did -- how did it just --
Greenlee: He was here for me. The only reason he was on that plane was for me. And now -- it's not real, is it?
Ryan: It doesn't feel like it is real. It doesn't feel like it's real. It doesn't feel like it ever could be real. I mean, Zach was always --
Greenlee: He was always there. He was so there.
Ryan: We got to get home. We got to figure out a way to tell Kendall.
Greenlee: No, no, no. We can't -- we can't leave him here. We have to find -- we have to find him.
Ryan: The Coast Guard is on the way here, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Oh, my God -- Kendall -- how are we going to tell her?
Ryan: I don't know.
Greenlee: She's going to --
Ryan: She's going to have us. She's going to have us. Oh, my God.
