Greenlee: How do we get this guy to admit David paid him to set you up?
Ryan: Ok, first, let's just find him. We find Pearson, ok. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna talk to the personnel here, subtly ask some questions.
Greenlee: You mean flirt with the girls at the front desk.
Ryan: Ha ha. If I have to, yes.
Greenlee: The things you have to do.
Frankie: Let me guess. You're deciding between the French toast lumberjack breakfast or a bowl of plain, sad yogurt.
Madison: Hey, Ryan.
Brot: I thought that defense lawyer was literally gonna reach into the witness box and strangle him.
Natalia: Yeah. Well, day's still young. Strangulation's still an option.
Natalia: I need you to fill this out before we leave.
Brot: You're putting this off on me?
Natalia: As your superior, yes, I am.
Brot: Ok, listen, I get that you're tired because I'm tired --
Natalia: Who said anything about being tired?
Brot: Right. Ok. This is just you being on my case the same way you've been ever since I walked out on our date.
Natalia: Oh. Please. I walked out on you.
Kendall: Mmm. Mmm.
Zach: Good morning.
Kendall: Good morning. Oh, my goodness. I cannot believe we slept down here.
Zach: You can't?
Zach: The fire, lack of clothing. That thing you do with that thing --
Kendall: That thing? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, wait a minute, Zach. The boys. I've got to get the boys.
Zach: I checked on them. Shh. They're fast asleep. You know who's not asleep?
Kendall: Who's not asleep? Oh, you're never asleep. Mmm. Again maybe?
Kendall: Ok. Ha.
[Knock on door]
Kendall: Oh, what? You have got to be kidding me.
Jesse: Zach, Kendall, it's Jesse Hubbard. I need to talk to you.
Greenlee: You think he's gone?
Ryan: Shh. Let's just stay here a little bit longer, ok, just to make sure.
Kendall: You don't think this is a little extreme? He's just a hotel security guard.
Ryan: Well, you know, the cops were already after you by the time we left Pine Valley, so --
Greenlee: You know that thing we went on with the wings and the big engine? It took us to California. I highly doubt the search went nationwide overnight.
Ryan: Ok, you can make fun of me all you want, but I'm not taking any chances. Not with you. I don't want you out here in the open.
Greenlee: What are you doing?
Ryan: Sure is pretty quiet in there.
Greenlee: Someone could be sleeping, Ryan.
Ryan: Yeah? Well, there's only one way to find out. It's empty. Come on.
Greenlee: You got lucky.
Ryan: Ha ha. I think we'll just -- relax in here for a little while, ok. Figure out our next move.
Greenlee: Ah. Oh. Oh. I didn't sleep at all on the flight. What?
Greenlee: I know. For a second it's like -- it's like we're just here in a hotel.
Greenlee: Instead of --
Ryan: Instead of --
Greenlee: You must be exhausted, too.
Madison: You didn't happen to hear that, did you?
Frankie: What, you calling me Ryan? No.
Madison: What's wrong with me?
Frankie: Nothing. Breakups, they suck. You just got to stay busy and find a hobby or something.
Madison: Like what? Collecting matchbooks, putting together a model airplane?
Frankie: Well, I was thinking something a little less grumpy old manish, but yeah, that's the idea.
Madison: Get right on that.
Frankie: Look, as hard as it is, you need to get over Ryan, right? And the only way you do that is to move forward. Put yourself out there and eventually -- I'm not saying today or anything -- maybe you'll find someone new. Hey, Logan.
Logan: Hey, man.
Frankie: What's up, man?
Logan: How are you doing?
Frankie: I'm good. Man, how you doing?
Logan: Good to see you, man.
Frankie: Good to see you. Logan, Madison. Madison, Logan. Our new surgical resident.
Madison: I remember. We spent some quality time together at the hospital when I was a visiting nurse for someone.
Logan: How's your boyfriend doing? It's Ryan, right?
Madison: Much better, but he's not my boyfriend anymore.
Logan: Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.
Logan: This is, uh, a great place. You eat here a lot?
Madison: The food's really good.
Logan: Are you eating here now?
Madison: I was just about to. I just can't decide what to eat.
Logan: Well, maybe we can help each other out with that.
Madison: Yeah. Why not?
Frankie: Huh. Huh. Oh, yeah. I'll, uh, I need to get out of here.
Frankie: Have that chair, sir. Can I light this candle? Get you a string quartet?
Frankie: Well, you know. Well, hey. Have fun.
Logan: Ha ha.
Jesse: I don't know if you know this -- you probably do because this is Pine Valley -- but my guys were watching Greenlee last night.
Jesse: Liza got suspicious. Thought she might run before the verdict came in.
Kendall: Why would she run? Greenlee's -- I mean, she might be acquitted.
Jesse: And she might not be acquitted. That's why we were keeping an eye on her just in case. But she was able to give us the slip late last night, disappeared. So I figured I'd swing by here, seeing she was staying here with you.
Kendall: Well, we told you we don't know where she is.
Zach: She sleeps here. She doesn't really stay here.
Jesse: And the private jet that left last night. No flight plan. Any idea as to whether or not she was on it?
Kendall: We just told you we don't know where she is.
Jesse: Yes, you did, but you're always very good at covering for each other.
Kendall: Ok, well, why should anyone have to cover for anybody? Greenlee's innocent. Just like I was, and you helped me then, remember?
Jesse: Well, things are different now, Kendall. I've got Liza Colby and the mayor breathing down my neck, watching my every move.
Zach: Wish we could help you, Jesse.
Jesse: Yeah, I'm sure you do. I'll keep in touch.
Kendall: He knows we're lying. He knows.
Zach: Well, technically we're not lying. We don't know where Greenlee is.
Kendall: Yeah, but the fact is she hopped on a plane, and we know that thanks to my mom. I mean, the police could track it.
Zach: Well, they haven't tracked it yet, and when they do track it, when they find the plane, Greenlee and Ryan will be far away from it. They're safe.
Kendall: For now.
Greenlee: Can I ask you something?
Greenlee: You cared about Madison a lot?
Ryan: I did.
Greenlee: Breaking up with her must have been hard.
Ryan: The last thing I wanted to do was to hurt her.
Greenlee: But you did it anyway. Why?
Ryan: Because I care about somebody else more.
[Knock on door]
Guard: Open up! I know you're in there, and I know exactly who you are.
Natalia: Are you done yet?
Brot: Not even close.
Natalia: Well, what's taking you so long?
Brot: You know what? If you want to get out of here so quick, why don't you pull your own weight?
Natalia: I pulled my weight when I made detective.
Brot: And you should get that tattooed on your forehead so we don't forget.
Natalia: Good idea.
Jesse: All right, all right, listen, enough from both of you with this fighting. What's -- you know what? Both of you follow me.
Natalia: We got work to do, Chief.
Kendall: What if Ryan and Greenlee don't find the witness? Or what if they find him and then he doesn't talk? Or worse, what if they come up with Greenlee's verdict, and she's not even here?
Zach: Or what if you stop assuming the worst for 5 minutes. Here's your coffee.
Kendall: Thanks. I don't know. I just -- it's like Greenlee and I, we're finally at a good place and now this.
Zach: You don't even know what this is.
Kendall: I just wish there was something I could do.
Zach: Well, you could stay out of it. That's what they want you to do, so you could do that.
Kendall: Yeah, I guess you're right, maybe.
Zach: I understand you want to help Greenlee and Ryan. I get that. But you know, there's two little boys -- 3 little boys who need your help here, so keep that in mind, all right. We want you safe at home.
Kendall: I get that. Well -- get over here! Let me see you! Ah!
Kendall: Ha ha! Oh, my goodness, I mean, you must have known what we were talking about.
Zach: What's with the outfits and the feathers and stuff?
Kendall: Oh, wait a minute. You didn't tell Daddy?
Kendall: No? Well, Spikey scored the lead in the Thanksgiving play.
Zach: Get out of here.
Kendall: No, no. That's true. It's true. He is playing the chief who offers the tribe's corn to the people on the "Mayflower."
Zach: What? That is very impressive. You guys want to practice?
Kendall: Yeah! All right, let's go. Ok, ready, those go right on the table.
Zach: Ok, the stage is set. You can be Pocahontas with the --
Kendall: Yeah, Pocahontas suits me.
Zach: Ok, ready? Action. Chief, you got to hand out the corn.
Kendall: Action. Give 'em the corn. The corn. Pass him the corn. Ha ha!
Zach: Hand 'em an ear!
Kendall: All right.
[Pounding on door]
Guard: I said open up!
Ryan: Just jump out the window in the bathroom. Meet me in the alley, the back alley. You remember that?
Ryan: The alley. Yes. Just go.
Ryan: What is going on? Is there a problem?
Guard: Do you have hearing issues or something? I've been banging on this door?
Ryan: I was just freshening up. I had the water running. I guess I didn't hear --
Guard: In a room that's not yours.
Greenlee: [Jumps off the balcony] Ah!
Jesse: What's the problem?
Natalia: Brot has a serious problem with scut work.
Brot: You're kidding me.
Natalia: Oh, ok, so when I give you an order, you don't complain?
Brot: Give me an order? Give me an order? Maybe if you didn't pull rank 24/7 I'd have a better attitude.
Natalia: Detective is over Officer, Brot. Get over it.
Jesse: You know what? You both need to get over something. I'm sure it has nothing to do with your jobs. I suggest we come clean right now.
Brot: Ahem. Natalia and I have been hanging out.
Jesse: Hanging out?
Brot: Yeah, but just -- just a couple of dates.
Natalia: We thought there was something there, but -- there wasn't. We were wrong.
Brot: Dead wrong.
Jesse: Well, all righty, then. Glad to hear it.
Natalia: Glad? Why?
Jesse: Well, if the two of you were involved, I'd have to transfer one of you out of the department, right?
Brot: Well, the good thing is that won't be necessary.
Jesse: Ok. Um, well, thanks for the honesty. Brot, listen, why don't you go finish up at the courthouse. She'll catch up with you later.
Natalia: Brot and I are not dating. You have nothing to worry about.
Jesse: You know, there was a time when I thought it would be cool for you two to be together. This was before he joined the force, though.
Natalia: Yeah, well, luckily that didn't happen.
Jesse: Yeah, luckily. The two of you are way too valuable. I would have to get rid of one of you, and I couldn't do that. Especially you.
Natalia: You have to say that.
Jesse: I do not have to say that. Natalia, you're one of the best detectives I have.
Jesse: Really. You are never distracted with personal issues, you can always work weekends, and you are focused 100% on your job in sickness and in health, for better or for worse.
Natalia: Whoa, whoa. Back up the bus. What are you saying, I'm married to my work?
Jesse: Well, isn't that what you want?
Logan: You know, so there I was on the court. You know, the clock's counting down. I turn to set up my shot, and bam!
Madison: Oh, no. You got hurt?
Logan: Oh, no. Way worse. A cramp. Ha ha!
Ryan: Where, right here?
Madison's voice: Top foot.
Ryan: Oh, ok, all right. All right, take it easy. Take it easy. Work it -- you got to work it out. Work it out. Right there. Oh, boy.
Ryan: Yeah. That's not good.
Madison: So, um, like to travel?
Logan: Yeah, I would say more of a city guy than a beach bum, though. I love sightseeing.
Madison: Me, too. What's your favorite city?
Logan: Uh, well, I know it's not too far from here, but it's got to be New York. I mean, just the vibe and the energy. I mean, there's nothing like it anywhere in the world.
Madison: No. No, there isn't.
Singer: So much more I had to give and heaven --
Logan: You ok?
Madison: No -- I'm really not.
Kendall: All right! Hurray! That was -- I mean, I am sensing an Oscar for my brilliant son.
Zach: Be a Tony, brilliant mother, a Tony.
Kendall: Well, whatever.
Kendall: Uh --
Zach: How about you guys go upstairs and play with the train?
Kendall: Yeah, yeah. Let's go.
Zach: New train track waiting for you. Oh, no! Oh, no!
Spike: Going, going, going.
Zach: Don't forget the hat.
Kendall: Right. Ok, I'm on it. Come on. Going, going --
Zach: Come on in. What can I do for you, Roger?
Roger: I just need your signature to finalize the casino sale.
Zach: So we're all clear, huh?
Roger: Don't get me wrong. They resisted signing, but once I file those puppies, done deal.
Zach: Ok. What about the yacht?
Roger: It's great. I cleaned your things out. Put 'em in storage. And except for the items you requested.
Zach: Thanks for your help, Roger. All right.
Kendall: Well, apparently my skills as a conductor are not as great as I thought.
Zach: No? Even with the hat?
Kendall: Oh, especially with the hat. So how did everything go with Roger?
Zach: The casinos are history. So are my investors.
Kendall: Thank God. Ha.
Kendall: Mmm. What's that?
Zach: Honey, that's the story of us.
Ryan: [Holding up a badge] Donovan Hobbs. FBI. Tracking a fugitive, Caucasian, early 40s, living it up in places like this all over the country. Goes by the alias of Nick Pearson. All right? Grand larceny, assault, you name it.
Ryan: Yeah, you think your serial squatter is elusive, we've been tracking this guy for years. Years. All right, and he's got an unbelievable radar for cops which is why we're not bringing in local authorities.
Guard: Whatever I can do to help.
Ryan: Really? Because this is big time. This guy is very dangerous.
Guard: I'm in.
Ryan: Ok. All right, well, first of all, we can't let him know that we're on his tail, do you understand? And you can help. You can find out if he's still staying here at the hotel. And if he's not, where was he last, where was he going? Any information.
Guard: Done. Barney Lowell, by the way.
Ryan: Ok, Barney, fantastic. I'll be in touch, absolutely. And this goes without saying, but we got to keep this quiet, obviously. This is a matter of national security, you understand?
Barney: Absolutely -- sir.
Ryan: Greenlee? Greenlee! Greenlee. Oh, God. Thank God. Ok, all right. Take it easy. Are you ok? You ok?
Kendall: I never thought I'd be one of those women who made scrapbooks. Way too Martha Stewart.
Zach: Well, you had a lot of time on that boat.
Kendall: Yeah. I'd say. A lot of time. These are memories and mementoes, pictures -- everything we've been through from the very beginning.
Zach: That's romantic.
Kendall: Oh, my God. Do you remember your first marriage proposal to me? That was probably the most unromantic moment of my entire life.
Zach: I wouldn't go that far. It was --
Kendall: Uh, I would.
Zach's voice: What I'm offering you is for Bianca and Miranda to hold on what is rightfully theirs because if you marry me, half of everything I own is yours.
Kendall: You are a sleazy, devious rodent.
Zach: I admit there's a possibility that I'm not a very nice person, but this being a business proposition, I do need an answer. Will you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Zach Slater? So we got off to a rough start. It wasn't that bad.
Kendall: Ah, look at this. This is the flower that you gave me in Boca. It was a beautiful place to get married.
Zach: The best business deal I ever made.
Kendall: Didn't stay business for long.
Kendall: Ha ha!
Zach's voice: I see you for who you are, and what you did for Greenlee didn't baffle me. It didn't make me angry because I understood it, 'cause when you give, you give 100%. When you give your heart, you give all of it or nothing at all, and I've never met anyone -- uh, I've never met anyone like that before in my life, and this is -- [Exhales] I don't know when it happened. I can't pinpoint this kind of stuff. I don't know what day it was or -- ah.
Zach: Or what dress you were wearing or -- but it happened, and I need to tell you.
Kendall: What? What is it?
Zach: I love you. I've fallen in love with you.
Kendall: You loved me.
Zach: Yes, I did.
Kendall: And then you promptly divorced me. Ha ha.
Zach: Why would you save something like that?
Kendall: Well, because unlike your first marriage proposal, this moment was utterly romantic.
Zach: So me wrestling a lobster, that's romance to you?
Kendall: Well, you were doing it for me, so yeah, hell yeah. Ah! Oh!
Zach: There you go. Opened.
Kendall: You are a beast -- a beast.
Zach: Ah. Zach Slater, lobster slayer. Congratulations.
Kendall: Thank you. Ha ha.
Kendall: I loved you so much that night. Even though I would never admit it at the time.
Zach: Mmm. You and that lobster, you were tough to crack. Definitely worth it.
Ryan: Ok. Here. Sit right here. Take it easy. Just nice and still, ok? Stay still.
Greenlee: I am, Ryan. I'm fine.
Ryan: You had the wind knocked out of you, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, I was climbing over the railing, and my foot got caught.
Ryan: Really? Where does it hurt?
Greenlee: Well, my ankle has seen better days, but --
Ryan: Ok, can I just take this off a little bit? Ok. Take it easy. Ok.
Ryan: Yeah. It's a little bit swollen right in here. You just got a little bit of a sprained ankle.
Greenlee: Yeah, well, that's -- that's good, right? I mean, that's better than the alternative. Ryan, what's wrong?
Ryan: I just -- I -- I saw you there motionless, and I -- I don't know. I just had all these weird images running through my mind, like everything that's happening right now, everything that's happened rushing through my mind, and -- I love you too much to lose you again, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Did you -- did you just --
Ryan: Yeah. And I should have said it before. I should have said it --
Greenlee: Say it again.
Ryan: I love you. I love you, and I never stopped loving you.
Greenlee: I love you, too.
Jesse: Thank you. Ah.
Natalia: Greenlee and Ryan?
Natalia: Where are they?
Jesse: California. Ventura County. Can you believe it's come to this? All because of David Hayward.
Natalia: I'm so sorry.
Jesse: Yeah, me, too.
Natalia: I, uh, I got a question to ask.
Natalia: Do you -- do you really think that I want to be married to my job?
Jesse: All I know is what I see, Natalia, and what I see is you spending all your free time at the station. Now, if you've got a social life, you're doing a pretty damn good job of hiding it. Now, nothing wrong with that. I mean, there are people whose careers mean everything to them, and apparently you're one of those people.
Natalia: No. No, I'm not. Going home every night to an empty apartment, that's the opposite of fun. Only made worse by you guys.
Jesse: What do you mean us guys? Who? What?
Natalia: It's one thing to be alone, and there's you and Frankie with your amazing relationships, Angie with the baby on the way, and yeah, yeah, one day I would like that. I would like all of that. What? Don't even -- you were playing me just now.
Jesse: A little bit. But I'm glad we had this talk.
Natalia: Try ambush.
Jesse: You ever ask yourself why it's so hard to admit these -- thank you -- things to yourself?
Natalia: I don't know.
Jesse: Maybe it's because of what I did to you and your mother, what I put you through. Natalia, I'm really sorry. I wish I could take back all that hurt I caused. I can't. What I can do, what I would like to do is help you get over being scared, because you're incredible --
Jesse: No. You really are incredible. You're beautiful, you're brave, you're intelligent, and you have a huge heart with a lot of love. Take the risk, share it.
Natalia: Angie said the same thing. So did Mom before she died.
Jesse: Two of the smartest women I know. You should listen to them. Can't go wrong.
Kendall: I told you I loved you that night.
Zach: What took you so long? What was it anyway? Was it the -- the wit, the hair, undeniable charm?
Kendall: Oh, who are we talking about again?
Zach: Wh --
Kendall: Actually, you know what? It was none of those things. Yet again it was all about the lobster.
Zach: I hope you're hungry.
Kendall: Lobster. Of course.
Zach: Out of the shell so you don't have to wrestle with it this time.
Kendall: I love you. I do. I love you. I love you so much.
Zach: The beginning of one hell of a year.
Kendall's voice: We're moving? Are you kidding me? What -- what in the hell are you doing, Zach? What are you, kidnapping me?
Kendall: I love you, Zach. Let me show you. I love you. I feel like I can't say it often enough or loud enough. You know me. You knew my heart when I was too scared to look inside. I was afraid of what would be there or what wouldn't be there. But you made me look, and what I saw wasn't dark and scary. It was love. You did that for me. You. And so I pledge my heart to you.
Zach: Well, it'll take a lifetime to know that heart. But I want that lifetime. I want to love you.
Kendall: If you could do it all over again, what would you do?
Zach: I'd toss the lobsters, have burgers.
Kendall: But burgers are not romantic.
Zach: Burgers don't fight back.
Zach: Honestly, I wouldn't have changed anything.
Frankie: Oh. Oh, don't tell me Logan brought you here on the first date.
Madison: No. Logan's not here.
Frankie: Oh. What happened?
Madison: Nothing happened. Logan's great. He's just not Ryan.
Greenlee: I can't believe this is --
Ryan: Go ahead.
Greenlee: No, you go.
Ryan: No, really, you go. Go ahead.
Greenlee: I don't know what to say. I've been waiting so long to tell you this.
Ryan: Me, too.
Greenlee: And there were times when I felt like you felt it, too.
Ryan: It just was never the right time to say it.
Greenlee: Well, and I was scared that it would never be right, that there would always be something in the way, holding us back.
Ryan: I had to protect you.
Greenlee: And I couldn't let you look guilty, and then you and Madison --
Ryan: Oh, wait. I thought that you believed that you and I, we were wrong for each other.
Greenlee: Part of me did. The scared part.
Ryan: Now here we are.
Greenlee: Here we are. Not scared.
Ryan: I haven't felt like this, like me -- since our wedding day. And I am so sorry --
Ryan: No, no. I need to say this, ok? Because I'm sorry that I didn't -- that I just didn't keep going. I should have knocked on your door every single day, and I should have told you how much I loved you, that we were right for each other.
Greenlee: I would have made that impossible.
Ryan: I could have figured out a way. I could have figured out a way to convince you that what we have, how right this is --
Greenlee: But I couldn't see it. But I see it now.
Ryan: That day when everything went wrong, I'm sorry I didn't save you.
Greenlee: What are you talking about? You just did.
Brot: Oh. Well, I'm done. Happy, Boss?
Natalia: [Kisses Brot] I am now.
Greenlee: Oh, my God, I forgot to ask you. Who came to the hotel room?
Ryan: Oh, it was just a security guard. I worked him a little bit, and I got him to help out, help us find Pearson.
Greenlee: Worked him how?
Ryan: Well, you know, I came prepared, and I brought some props. Hobbs. Donovan Hobbs.
Greenlee: Ha ha! I love it.
Ryan: I love you. I love you. And I'm gonna end this so that we can go home, and we can start finally, finally start our life together.
Greenlee: I can't wait.
[Cell phone rings]
Ryan: It's Tad. Says the cops tracked our plane, that we should watch our backs.
Kendall: You know, I was just thinking, it wasn't all lobsters and proposals and happiness and romance. We have been through it, too.
Zach: Yeah, more than once.
Kendall: But that's over now. We're together. Everything is great, and we are finally happy, and we're gonna stay that way.
Zach: Yes. If I have anything to do with it, yes.
Kendall: You know what? I can't wait to make another one.
Zach: Another one what?
Kendall: Yeah. I don't know. Don't you want to remember everything? Spike's first -- I don't know, lacrosse game, Ian's first hockey game. I don't know why I said lacrosse, but he could play it. Graduations --
Zach: What are you doing? What's going on with you? Are you getting all mushy? These are boys. They're plenty of drama. Don't need you adding to it. No one's gonna be bored in this house.
Kendall: I don't think we would ever be boring, not us. This is our life, Zach, our family. Everything I've ever wanted is right here in this house. Don't ever let me forget that.
Zach: There's something I want, and it's gonna be in the bedroom in about 20 seconds.
Kendall: Oh, really?
Zach: Come on.
Kendall: Come on. Can I -- no, no. Let me drag you there.
Ryan: Hey, Kendall, it's Ryan. I got your message. Look, it's too risky for us even to use your phone right now, so the next time you hear from us, hopefully we'll be on our way back to Pine Valley with everything we need to clear Greenlee. Hey, Kendall, thank you for everything, ok, and we'll see you soon. [Hangs up] You ok if I lose this?
Greenlee: I have everything I need.
[Cell phone clatters as Ryan smashes it]
Ryan: Hey. We're gonna get through this.
Greenlee: I know. [Kissing]
