Ryan: The focus needs to be on saving you right now. Ok? Just forget about everything else.
Greenlee: I can't.
Ryan: You have to.
Greenlee: Can you?
Ryan: I'm doing what I have to do right now. Why can't you understand that?
Greenlee: You're not making some false confession to murder all for me.
Ryan: End of discussion.
Greenlee: No, Ryan. I'm telling you I'm not gonna let you --
Greenlee: What was that?
Ryan: I don't know.
Greenlee: You don't know?
Ryan: It was a kiss.
Greenlee: Yeah, I got that part. But why? Why now?
Ryan: Because, Greenlee, I was trying to talk to you and you weren't listening to me. I was trying to make you understand.
Greenlee: Understand what?
Jack: Greenlee, court's back in session. We need you in here.
[Liza comes out of the shadows]
Annie: Scott is done with me. Another divorce.
J.R.: You're not surprised, are you? It's not like you were gonna follow him off to prison just now.
Annie: I did this to him. He never would've stolen Palmer's idea if it wasn't for me. But me -- I had to push him. I had to try to make him into --
Annie: Someone he's not.
J.R.: Yeah. Me. It's not about you. Scott made a big mistake, and he did the Scott thing -- started spilling his guts.
Annie: No. Scott is a good man.
J.R.: Scott is a coward. What are you going to do?
Annie: I am going to do exactly what Scott told me to do -- leave the mansion and get as far away from you as possible.
Krystal: I tell you what. Why don't you go finish that in the office, and I'll go bring you some juice. Ok?
Krystal: All right. Wait! Got to get my sugar first. All right. Have fun.
Erica: Boy, he looks more like his daddy every day.
Krystal: He looks like his mother, too.
Erica: Oh. Of course. So I'll just have a cup of coffee, please.
Erica: Thank you.
Krystal: I just always thought of you as a tea person.
Erica: It must be so hard on little A.J., with the custody battle and all.
Krystal: Well, it'll work out.
Erica: He's lucky to have you. I mean, that Chandler house is certainly no place for a little boy like that at the moment.
Krystal: What are you getting at, Erica?
Erica: I assume that Marissa is going for the jugular?
Krystal: And I assume that you're hoping to use that against J.R. to get Cortlandt back.
Erica: We're on the same team here, Krystal.
Krystal: I'm on my daughter's team. It's that simple. With you, I'm never quite sure.
Krystal: Meaning shouldn't you be at court supporting Jack right now?
Jack: So do you want to tell me what's going on between you and Ryan?
Greenlee: I have no idea. You want to tell me what's going between you and Ryan since the trial started?
Jack: What are you talking about?
Greenlee: Whispers? Glances? I'm your client and your daughter.
Jack: Yes, I'm well aware of both of those things. Believe me.
Judge: Ms. Colby, will you call your next witness, please?
Liza: Thank you, your honor. I'd like to call Kendall Slater.
Greenlee: I thought she was one of our witnesses.
Jack: She is, but there's a certain amount of overlap on the witness lists. It's not unusual.
Bailiff: You swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?
Kendall: I do.
Greenlee's voice: I found it in Ryan's jacket.
Greenlee: That vial that you're holding? Ryan had it.
Kendall: Oh, my God.
Greenlee: I think he did it. Kendall, I think he poisoned David.
Liza: So you and Mrs. Hayward have known each other for years, correct?
Liza: You guys own a company together?
Liza: But you're closer than partners, right?
Kendall: She's one of my best friends. Of course, we've had our ups and downs, but she's one of the most important people in my life.
Liza: So prior to the night that Dr. Hayward collapsed, were you aware of any friction between Mr. and Mrs. Hayward?
Kendall: David saved her life, too.
Liza: That doesn't answer my question. Were you aware of any strain between Dr. and Mrs. Hayward?
Kendall: Every married couple has moments of tension.
Liza: But I'm not talking about arguments over who takes out the garbage. Were you aware of any serious strain between Mr. and Mrs. Hayward?
Kendall: I wouldn't know.
Liza: Your honor, permission to treat the witness as hostile?
Judge: Go on.
Liza: Were you aware that David Hayward was blackmailing his wife? Let me refresh your memory. You and I had a conversation where you told me that you were aware of the blackmail. And just a reminder that you are under oath and you are on probation. So should you choose to perjure yourself, you will most likely go to prison. Were you aware of the blackmail?
Kendall: Yes. I knew that David was blackmailing Greenlee.
Liza: Hmm. And did Greenlee confide in you about certain documents that he was holding over her head and threatened to reveal if she threatened to leave the marriage or end it?
Liza: Did you know what was in these documents?
Kendall: They were fake.
Liza: You don't have any proof of that, now, do you?
Liza: But you were concerned enough that these documents could incriminate your friend that you stole them, and you destroyed them. Isn't that correct? It's a matter of public knowledge. That's why you're on probation.
Kendall: Yes. But there was --
Liza: But you were willing to break the law and destroy these. You must've known what they contained! Mrs. Slater?
Kendall: The papers connected Greenlee to my mother's plane crash, but they were fake. And you were the one who helped --
Liza: So Dr. Hayward threatened to reveal that Mrs. Hayward attempted to murder Erica Kane. No wonder she was so desperate to get out from under that blackmail.
Liza: Your witness.
Erica: I was actually on my way to the courthouse. I just wanted a cup of coffee, but, of course, you're always trying to sell something more.
Krystal: I know it must really be pretty crazy at your place right now with the trial and working with Caleb.
Erica: Working on Palmer's legacy.
Krystal: Yeah. Of course.
Erica: J.R. stole Cortlandt Electronics from Caleb. I owe it to Palmer to try to do everything I possibly can to get that back.
Krystal: That must really have been hard. I mean, one minute you and Jack are enjoying the honeymoon that's not really a honeymoon, and then the next thing you know, you're here -- skivvies deep in corporate intrigue with Caleb.
Erica: "Skivvies"? Really? What exactly are you asking?
Krystal: No, it's none of my business really.
Erica: That never stopped you before. Ha ha ha! So is it Caleb or is it Jack?
Krystal: Excuse me?
Erica: Just trying to figure out who you're so concerned about.
Krystal: Funny. I think you should ask yourself the same question. Anyway, to more important things. Do you think Jack's gonna win this case? You think he's gonna prove Greenlee's innocence?
Erica: I have no doubt.
J.R.: Where are you gonna go? What are you gonna do?
Annie: That is not your problem.
J.R.: What if I say it is?
Annie: The last thing Scott said to me is that I still have a chance to give my daughter the life that I want to give her.
J.R.: By leaving me?
J.R.: This is Scott trying to mess things up for me.
Annie: He's right. Leaving you and leaving that house -- it's the only way. Since the second I walked in there, it's been nothing but pain and hurt and --
J.R.: You know that's not true. There's been plenty of that, but there's been a lot of other good things, things that weren't all bad.
Annie: How can you say that? Look at us. We are in a police station, and your cousin just got hauled off to prison.
J.R.: Annie, come on. This isn't about Scott. Scott's gone.
Annie: Huh. Just like that?
J.R.: Yeah. You need some time to figure things out. I get it. But to walk out the door like that? That's not the way. Let me help.
Annie: I told you I don't want your help.
J.R.: Annie, your assets have been frozen. You don't even have a place to stay.
Annie: I survived way before I ever even met a Chandler. I'll figure it out.
J.R.: Annie? I'm not gonna stop you if that's what you want, but at least let me do something for you.
Annie: No. I don't want any more Chandler money. My life might be a complete mess right now, but at least I still have a little bit of self-respect.
J.R.: Self-respect. Is that enough? You could have so much more. Annie.
J.R.: I can't believe it's almost Halloween already.
Krystal: If you're here to celebrate Scott going to prison, you're in the wrong place.
J.R.: I had nothing to do with that. Scott took that dive all by himself.
Krystal: Try not to look so happy about it.
J.R.: Is A.J. here?
Krystal: Have you forgotten that a judge granted temporary --
J.R.: I want to tell him about Scott before he hears it from someone else.
J.R.: Hey! There's my man! Come here. How you doing?
A.J.: I miss you.
J.R.: I miss you, too. Boy, I swear you've grown about a foot. You're about 50 pounds, too. Hey, how'd you do on that test?
A.J.: I got an "A." I practiced just like you told me to.
J.R.: I'm so proud of you.
Emma: Mommy, you're home!
Annie: Hi. Oh, my beautiful girl! Hi.
Emma: Are you ok?
Annie: Yeah. How could I not be ok when I have the best daughter in the whole wide world? Um, sweetheart, there is something that I have to tell you about Scott. He had to go away.
Annie: He made a mistake. And since he's such a good man, he has to go fix it.
Emma: But can't he fix it with us?
Annie: No, sweetheart, he can't.
Emma: He's gonna be home soon, right? We have our Halloween costumes all planned.
Annie: I'm sorry, Emma. There's something else. We are going to find a new, really, really fun place to live.
Emma: But I love it here.
Annie: I'm sorry, Emma. I am so, so sorry. Ohh.
Jack: You've testified that you've been close with Greenlee. Would you say it's quite possible that you know her better than anyone else?
Kendall: I think so.
Jack: Do you think she's capable of murder?
Kendall: No, I don't.
Jack: Why is that?
Kendall: I say this from deep personal experience. Once Greenlee loves someone, no matter what they do to her, part of her always loves them. And she loved David. He saved her life. She asked him to marry her.
Jack: So then would it be your opinion that Greenlee went into her marriage with David --
Erica: How's it going?
Ryan: Kendall's playing tough. Liza got her to confirm that David was blackmailing Greenlee, but it wasn't anything that Jack wasn't expecting.
Jack: Do you believe that Greenlee tried to kill your mother?
Kendall: No, I don't.
Jack: And the documents that Hayward was using to blackmail my client --
Liza: Objection, your honor. The witness has no expert knowledge.
Jack: It's been established that Greenlee told you that she was being blackmailed. Did she tell you what she planned to do about it?
Kendall: Yes. She wasn't gonna kill him. She planned on killing him with kindness. Part of Greenlee still loved David and believed that he would come around and do the right thing.
Jack: No more questions.
Judge: Would you like to redirect, counselor?
Liza: No. I have nothing, your honor.
Jack: Your honor, given the lateness of the hour, I propose that we adjourn for the day.
Judge: Ms. Colby, any objections?
Liza: Now that you bring it up, your honor, I would like to call one more witness to the stand -- Ms. Erica Kane. The commonwealth appreciates you taking the time to testify. Would you please describe your working relationship with Mrs. Hayward?
Liza: Would you care to elaborate?
Erica: Not really. I don't even know exactly why I'm here. I wasn't even in town when David died.
Liza: Well, your daughter just sat on the witness stand and testified as to Greenlee's character. I thought it might be interesting to get your take.
Erica: You thought it might be interesting?
Liza: Isn't it true that the defendant, along with the deceased, framed you for skimming money from a Fusion account?
Erica: David Hayward actually confessed to that particular crime.
Liza: And you are aware of the rumors that Mrs. Hayward may have sabotaged your plane that could've resulted in your death?
Erica: Luckily, I'm alive and here to testify that, yes, I've heard the rumors. I hate rumors.
Liza: Do you think that Greenlee tried to kill you?
Jack: Objection. Speculative.
Erica: Jack, it's ok. I'm perfectly fine answering this question. No, I don't think that Greenlee tried to kill me.
Liza: You are a well-respected member of this community, are you not?
Erica: You'd have to ask the community.
Liza: Fair enough. I was wondering what kind of person you think Greenlee Hayward is.
Jack: The defense objects to this entire line of questioning, your honor.
Judge: You opened the door when Mrs. Slater became a character witness. Proceed, Ms. Colby.
Liza: Thank you, your honor. Ms. Kane, do you like Greenlee Hayward?
Erica: No, I don't. But then I don't particularly like you, and I don't think you killed David either.
Judge: Would you just answer the question, Ms. Kane? I'd like the jury to please disregard the witness' last answer. Go on, ms. Colby.
Liza: Thank you. What kind of person is Greenlee Hayward?
Erica: Greenlee is selfish and manipulative and full of entitlement, but she is also warm and loving and decent. That's a side of her that she inherited from her father, the best man I have ever known. So don't believe the papers. Don't believe the rumors. Believe me when I tell you that if this man believes in his daughter, it's with good reason.
Liza: Your witness.
J.R.: You might hear some things about Scott at school, but I wanted you to hear the truth from me.
A.J.: Is Scott ok?
J.R.: He will be. But he did something he wasn't supposed to, and when that happens, there are consequences.
A.J.: Like a time-out?
J.R.: Sort of. He has to go away and make up for what he did.
A.J.: But he was teaching me the scissors.
J.R.: The what?
A.J.: For soccer.
J.R.: I can teach you that.
A.J.: Can we go home and practice right now?
J.R.: I don't think that's gonna be happening anytime soon. But I'll talk to your mom. We'll go to a park. Ok?
A.J.: I want to come home, and I want Mommy to come home, too.
J.R.: Mommy's not gonna be able to come live with us at the house. But before too long, we'll be playing soccer on that back meadow. Ok? A long, long time ago I told your mom in heaven that I'd always keep you happy and safe. I know things have not been easy lately, but I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure that I keep that promise. Ok? Give me a hug.
Krystal: A.J., why don't you go get your jacket, and we'll go check in on Kathy and Jenny. Ok, buddy?
Krystal: You were good with him.
J.R.: He's my son.
Krystal: And he's going through a tough time.
J.R.: Marissa's the one who started this whole custody war.
Krystal: You didn't give her a choice.
J.R.: But she overreacted. Now Caleb is using her to get to me, and A.J. is getting hurt in the process.
Krystal: J.R., she is doing what she thinks she needs to do.
J.R.: Well, talk some sense into her. I mean, think about what Babe would want, what she would want for A.J.
Krystal: Babe is not here. But Marissa is, and I'm gonna do everything I can to help her keep that little boy safe.
J.R.: If I wanted to, I could leave with A.J., and you couldn't do anything about it.
Krystal: Do you need a little reminder about that court order?
J.R.: It's just a piece of paper. Crumple it up, it's gone.
Krystal: And if I call the cops? They like to enforce little pieces of paper like that.
J.R.: Go ahead. Call them. By the time they get here, I'll already be home with A.J. They'll need an army to get him out.
Krystal: I'll bring an army on my own, not to mention the fact that if you do that, you are gonna prove to the world and every custody judge in it the kind of man you are. Maybe I can stop you today, maybe I can't. But I will give Caleb the whole lowdown, and, honey, he is gonna rain hellfire down on you. And your custody case --
J.R.: Hellfire from a mountain? Boy, I'm shaking.
Krystal: You should be.
J.R.: You tell my son I'll see him soon. You tell him I'll see him real soon.
Annie: But that was my money to begin with.
Attorney: You combined it with your husband's. So the Feds have every right to freeze it.
Annie: My daughter and I are gonna be freezing on the streets if we can't use our own money. I didn't steal anything, I didn't confess to any crime, so why can't you just get one of my credit cards back?
Attorney: I already explained this to you.
Annie: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, this is so unfair! God. Do you want a drink? You might as well, because at least this has all been paid for. Oh, my God. Ok. Well, there's got to be a way that we can fight this, right?
Attorney: At the moment, you can't even pay my bill.
Annie: So, what, that's it? You're just gonna walk out on me? What kind of a lawyer are you? I need money to survive. My daughter and I are not gonna have a home soon. I'm not gonna live here for much longer, my daughter's a complete emotional wreck, and now you're seriously gonna talk to me about a paycheck? Get out of this house. I mean it! Get out of this house!
Kendall: Hey! Hi. It looks like a party in here. Hi, guys! Hi! Hi, honey. Hi.
Bianca: Fresh cookies.
Kendall: Yeah. Cookies you baked?
Bianca: The babysitter.
Bianca: I gave her an extra tip.
Kendall: Ok. That's good. They seem to be doing just fine, when I thought World War III was about to break out when I got the phone call. That's why I raced home.
Bianca: Apparently, cookies -- they helped a little peace treaty.
Kendall: Oh, a peace treaty? Ok. I'm gonna have to try one, then, just to make sure. Ok? Yes. Let's see. Hmm. Mm-hmm. [Mumbles indistinctly] Ok, you know what? This could be responsible for world peace. I think the world would be better --
Bianca: I think I better try one, then, in that case.
Kendall: Yummy! Oh, my goodness gracious. Ok, I got to sit. Ahh! So --
[Kendall and Bianca chuckle]
Kendall: So are Gabs and Ian still down for their nap?
Bianca: Like angels.
Kendall: You're home early. I thought Fusion would keep you late.
Bianca: Yeah, I delegated.
Kendall: Oh. Is it crazy?
Bianca: With Greenlee's murder trial starting today, the PR department was handling lots of media calls. I reassured more than a few buyers that Fusion would weather the trial and the outcome in our usual style.
Kendall: Until Greenlee is acquitted, all we can do is maintain.
Bianca: Yeah. How did it go at the trial?
Kendall: Oh, Liza's a witch, as usual. But Jack is doing everything he can to spring Greenlee.
Bianca: Until Greenlee is fine, Fusion in flux is beginning to be a way of life.
Kendall: Tell me about it.
Bianca: Oh. Have you heard back from Zach?
Kendall: This conversation might actually require another cookie. Let's break some more cookies, shall we?
Bianca: Ok. Yeah. Take this one.
Kendall: Yes. I made the phone call. I told him that I missed him and that I want him to come home, and I'm still waiting to hear back from him.
Bianca: He'll call.
Kendall: Yeah. What about you? Are things better with Reese?
Bianca: Here is her big project. It just broke ground. Look at that.
Kendall: Wow. That's cool. That looks like sticks, actually.
Bianca: It's gonna be this amazing live/work space. It's tres contemporary, it's tres green, and it's right in the middle of the 7th arrondissement.
Kendall: That's cool. That still doesn't answer the question that I asked about the two of you.
Bianca: We are still working on some issues. The girls miss her a lot. I wish she was here, too.
Kendall: Wait. Really? Did you just hear that? Did you just hear Spike? Ok. Hold on. Wait. I got to get my cell phone. I got to get this.
Bianca: Are you recording it?
Kendall: Yes, I'm recording this. This is a very big moment! You don't understand. Spike never laughs like this. He always plays by himself. Ok. Hey, Spikey? You having fun over there? Yeah? You having a good time? It looks like it. This is what we've missed being away from here. This place brings out the best in the boys, which is exactly why Zach needs to be here.
Jack: Hello, Ms. Kane.
Erica: Hello, counselor.
Jack: Now, you have testified that you and the defendant have been at odds across the years.
Erica: Yes, we have.
Jack: And that even when you were jointly running Fusion, there was a certain air of competitiveness. Is that correct?
Jack: So is it safe to say that you would not be disposed in her favor when it comes to, oh, say, comments about her character?
Erica: That would be absolutely correct.
Jack: Do you consider Greenlee an intelligent woman?
Jack: Naive about relationships?
Erica: Not at all.
Jack: Did she ever tell you that she loved David Hayward?
Erica: Yes. Like many people, I was surprised, at first. But over the course of time, I could see how strong their relationship was.
Jack: Do you have any personal knowledge of David Hayward blackmailing Greenlee over something she might've done to you?
Erica: No. I was, frankly, out of town enjoying a perfectly lovely pre-wedding honeymoon.
Judge: Ms. Kane, would you just answer the question directly?
Erica: No, I have no personal knowledge of David Hayward blackmailing Greenlee.
Jack: Can you describe your relationship with David Hayward?
Erica: He helped my daughter Bianca through a very difficult time, and he saved my daughter Kendall's life. But right before he died, no, I cannot say that we were friends. Because I believe that it was David Hayward who sabotaged the plane I was on that crashed.
Jack: So there was some animosity between you?
Erica: To tell you the truth, I think you would be hard-pressed to find one single person in this entire town who didn't want David dead.
Liza: Objection, your honor.
Liza: Listen, I need you to get the docs in order for tomorrow and pull the case file.
Damon: Got it.
Liza: And get me an energy drink, whatever has the most caffeine in it.
Damon: How about a burger?
Liza: Just get me the drink, all right, and make it a six-pack. Any questions?
Damon: No. No.
Liza: Ok. Then why are you still here?
Jack: You were great on that stand.
Erica: Not my first time in court.
Jack: Oh, and well I know that.
Liza: That was very entertaining. It was witty. It was clever. It was everything I would expect from Erica Kane.
Erica: So glad I was entertaining.
Liza: Just getting started, Jack.
Jack: Bully for you, Liza.
Erica: I liked her so much better when she was just chasing everything in pants.
Ryan: So you made it through day one, huh?
Greenlee: Maybe. But if I were on that jury, I'd still have some serious doubts about me, too.
Ryan: It was a long day. You're just tired. That's all.
Greenlee: I'm worried, and not just about me.
Ryan: You never used to worry. You were always sure that life would turn out your way.
Greenlee: Listen, about what happened earlier -- that kiss?
Ryan: It's gonna be great, Greenlee. Everything is gonna be great. I promise you. Ok?
J.R.: You ok?
Annie: I'm fine. That lawyer's an idiot, and Emma got me upset.
J.R.: I know. Everything is crazy right now -- trying to make our kids understand what's happening. If there's anything --
Annie: I told you I don't want anything from you. And wipe that pity off your face.
J.R.: You don't have to do this alone.
Annie: I will make it work.
J.R.: I'm sure you will.
Annie: I told you to stop it with the fake sympathy.
J.R.: It's not fake. I care about what happens to you.
Annie: I don't have time for this, ok? I need to figure out what to do next. Ohh. Emma hates me right now. Maybe she would be better off with Ryan, if that's even possible.
J.R.: Why wouldn't it be? At least until you find a place to stay.
Annie: I'll be out of here soon. I've already been here too long.
Kendall: Oh-ho-ho! I've dreamed of this, of our kids playing together.
Bianca: Growing up together.
Kendall: You probably think it's crazy I got so excited about Spike laughing like that.
Bianca: No. We all want our kids happy.
Kendall: I just wish Zach was here so he could see how good this is for the boys, especially Spike.
Bianca: He's just doing so great. With the cochlear implant, he's amazing.
Kendall: I know. That's just it. For months on the boat, Zach and I -- we couldn't get Spike to do his therapy. He just did not want to do it. It was like he didn't care about communicating anymore. He actually started to withdraw. Now, this right here -- this is what Spike needs. He needs to be around kids his own age and learn how to interact socially and be around family.
Bianca: He has definitely got the "plays well with others" down. Miranda just loves him.
Kendall: I'm just so happy to see him like this. I just think it's so great. I wish Zach were here. I wish he could know how good this is for the boys. And he could come home and just give this place a chance.
Annie: Can I get a scotch, please?
Annie: Neat. Water back.
Bartender: You got it.
Annie: Actually, make it a double, and hold the water.
Man: Oh, I'd love a double scoop of that.
Man: With a side of "more, please."
Man: Hey, if we're being too loud, I'll tell these tools to bring it down.
Annie: That's ok. Somebody should be having fun.
Second man: Well, we suck at football, but we're pretty good at having fun.
Third Man: Yeah, we are.
Second man: You can join us if you want.
Third Man: Yeah! Come on.
Annie: Why not?
Man: Why not? Yeah!
Man: To fun.
Annie: To fun. Cheers! Cheers.
J.R.: What the hell is taking so long? We have to be aggressive about this. We have to hang Scott out to dry before our stocks sink any lower. Just get it to me as soon as possible. J.R. Chandler.
Bartender: Oh. Hi.
J.R.: Who is this? Why are you calling?
Bartender: I'm calling from ConFusion. I'm the bartender.
J.R.: Why are you calling me?
Bartender: There's a lady here -- light brown hair, good-looking. She left her phone on the bar. I pushed the "home" button. I got you.
Annie: That guy! That guy!
Bartender: She's had more than a few, so I took her keys, and I thought someone should come drive her home. She's getting pretty wasted.
Kendall: Sticky fingers and toys on the floor and stuff everywhere. I mean, honestly, would you have thought that this would be us 10 years ago?
Bianca: No. As much as I love Paris, I love this more.
Bianca: Yeah. Even the sticky parts. They haven't seen each other in months. It looks like they've never been apart. Do you ever think about what it would've been like if we grew up together?
Kendall: Oh, yeah. I would have a little sister I could torture. You would idolize me.
Bianca: I could've blamed stuff on you.
Kendall: True. We would still be this close.
Bianca: Wouldn't it be the best if everybody was back here in Pine Valley?
Kendall: One big, crazy, noisy family.
Bianca: It's gonna happen. Zach will come home.
Kendall: Reese will, too.
Greenlee: Excuse me.
Ryan: Hey. Tough day, huh?
Jack: Liza got in a couple of shots.
Ryan: Yeah, but you gave it right back to her.
Jack: What's the word on our witness?
Ryan: Tad has got him, and he's taking care of him until we need him.
Jack: I hope we don't need him.
Ryan: Listen, as soon as he testifies that he heard me say that somebody dies tonight right before Hayward did, that is gonna be our reasonable doubt. Greenlee will be acquitted.
Jack: Yeah, and you will be looking down the barrel of murder charges possibly.
Erica: Well. What do you two have your heads together about?
Ryan: I was just congratulating Jack on a great day.
Erica: Well, he's genius.
Jack: Come on. You were the star in there, and you know it. Come over here.
Ryan: I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Jack: All right.
Ryan: I'll see you tomorrow.
Greenlee: Hey. Wait, Ryan. You can't just kiss me like that and then avoid me.
Ryan: It shouldn't have happened.
Greenlee: But it did.
Ryan: I got to get home.
[Music plays at ConFusion]
Annie: Whoo! Yeah! Bartender, another round for me and my friends.
Annie: Cheers to that! Whoo! Oh, feel the burn!
