Kendall: I was looking for something on Ryan's phone, and the list of his last few searches came up.
Kendall: So one of them was entered the night of the murder -- "digitalis poison death." So what do we do now?
Ryan: What do we do about what?
Kendall: What do we do about the fact that the police won't leave you alone?
J.R.: Well. It's nice to see your dreary little marriage hasn't sucked all the fire out of you.
Annie: You are an ass.
J.R.: And you have a hell of a right swing. So you gonna tell me why you did that or do you want me to guess?
Annie: I helped you find A.J. I actually felt for you. And all your talk about how you and Scott have everything in common now -- the business, the family. And you actually made it seem like you were ready to start working as a team, all together, and I defended you. I can't believe that I actually believed a word that you said!
J.R.: This family, this company is the most important thing to me.
Annie: Oh, yeah? Is that why you put out a bogus press release saying that Scott is moving to Europe?
J.R.: If he's so damn determined to prove himself, what better way than to take on Chandler's problems overseas?
Annie: Please. You just want Scott as far away as possible because you are threatened by him. Did you think we would actually just pack up our stuff and move away because you put out some ridiculous fake announcement?
J.R.: No. I don't think you're going anywhere.
Caleb: You're not gonna try to tell me that your cousin Junior and you are pals, are you?
Scott: I'm not gonna try to tell you anything.
Caleb: Why are you so skittish about sitting down? I'm not gonna bite.
Scott: I'm not skittish. I just don't like being conned into meetings with anyone. I'm not particularly happy my wife went behind my back.
Caleb: Maybe she believes it'd be beneficial for both of us.
Scott: Yeah? I don't see why. We have nothing to talk about.
Caleb: If you don't go, you don't know. Why don't you just give it a listen? You might like what you hear.
Ryan: Look, I really appreciate the concern, but the police aren't exactly harassing me right now.
Kendall: Yeah, but, Ryan, you're still a suspect.
Ryan: Yeah, Jesse's just doing his job.
Greenlee: Then he should look somewhere else, leave you alone.
Ryan: I'm not gonna hide from the police. I won't do it. In fact, the best thing that I could do is I should go to them. f
Greenlee: You can't do that. You've answered their questions. The charges were dropped. You're a free man.
Ryan: No, I'm not a free man. Not until I know what happened that night.
Greenlee: Stop going to the police, ok? If they have questions, have your attorney tell them that you already cooperated. Be done with it.
Ryan: Why are you so adamant about this?
Greenlee: If you keep popping up on their radar --
Ryan: I'm already all over their radar, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Ok, so what if they ask you questions and you say something -- completely innocent, but they use it against you? They twist it so they can make an arrest, solve the crime, be stars?
Ryan: Ok. All right. That's a good point. I'll go directly to Jesse because I know Jesse wouldn't put an innocent man in jail.
Kendall: Are you really gonna do this?
Ryan: Yes, I'm gonna do this. The questions the police want answered are exactly the same as the questions that I want answered. Look, I want to know what happened that night, I want to know why I don't remember, and maybe Jesse's questions will help trigger something.
Greenlee: Would you for once in your life just step away from doing the hero thing? Forget the police, forget that night. Think about Emma and Spike. Live your life for all the people who love you.
Miranda: Look. That's the man who fixed our computers.
Asher: Oh, hey, there, Miranda.
Miranda: This is my mom.
Bianca: Hi. Bianca Montgomery.
Asher: Asher Pike. You called us in to make sure there was no smoke damage to your network.
Bianca: Right -- not the usual guy. Miranda said you were really nice.,
Asher: I hope everyone's ok. Fires can be scary.
Bianca: Yeah, we're all fine. Aren't we?
Asher: The guy that lives in your house --
Asher: Yeah, Mr. Cooney -- Cortlandt -- kind of kicked me out before I could make sure everything was working properly.
Bianca: We haven't had any problems.
Asher: Sometimes glitches can be dormant until you run the wrong process. It usually happens on page 49 in that 50-page term paper. I can finish the work. You just give me a time. What's Mr. Cortlandt's schedule like?
Bianca: Oh. Do you want to see him or avoid him?
Asher: Whichever makes the schedule work. How did you like the game I left on the computer for you?
Miranda: It's so much fun.
Asher: Don't tell her, but it's educational.
Miranda: Do you have any more games like that? Educational?
Asher: Are you kidding? I'm the man. I teach kids computer skills, and Miranda here has got a real talent for it.
Miranda: Can he give me lessons, Mom? Please?
Caleb: I read the press release. You must be very excited: Europe, so European.
Scott: Ah. You already know the press release was planted by J.R.
Caleb: Ah, Cousin Junior -- what a fine man, just like his daddy.
Scott: What do you want from me?
Caleb: Scott, heading a multimillion-dollar company takes somebody with a very clear, cool head, somebody who thinks before he acts.
Scott: I'm flattered.
Caleb: Oh, I'm not trying to flatter you. The fact is that as smart as you are, I don't think you've got what it takes. You don't have the taste for blood that Junior has, you don't have the experience, and you could use somebody to cover your flank.
Scott: Someone like you?
Caleb: We both know the Chandler European division is struggling, and I would be willing to invest a substantial sum.
Scott: Oh. Something tells me you wouldn't exactly be a silent partner.
Caleb: You'd have an ally on the inside.
Scott: And you'd have a path back to Cortlandt Electronics. Why would I want to invest with someone whose agenda is to undermine my company?
Caleb: Hmm. You know, I could be in this to screw you, or I could be your best shot at giving Cousin Junior a taste of his own medicine.
Scott: Yeah, I think I'll pass. The next time you want to meet, call me directly.
Krystal: Looks like someone could use a little refreshment. Lemon and sugar, just you like. And I brought another one for me just in case you wanted to take a little study break.
Marissa: Mm-hmm. You know, I could use a permanent break. It's not like all of this stuff is sticking in my head.
Krystal: Maybe that's because your head is filled with all kinds of worry for a certain little boy.
Marissa: It's just so hard, you know, watching what A.J.'s going through -- all the fighting at school, the acting out, the running away. I don't know. Maybe he's taking David's death a lot harder than we thought.
Krystal: Maybe he's not the only one.
Marissa: You know, A.J. is in trouble, and what does J.R. do? He starts his own fights. He tries to bribe the principal.
Krystal: Well, I wish I could say I'm surprised.
Marissa: J.R. and I promised each other that we wouldn't fight for A.J.'s sake. But to J.R., that means that he just does whatever he wants, and I don't get in his way. Did really think that I wasn't gonna find out?
Krystal: All right, you know, what J.R. did was wrong, absolutely. But as hard as it sounds, maybe you could keep the peace for A.J.'s sake and not butt heads.
Marissa: I don't want to fight with J.R., but sometimes he makes impossible to be civil.
Krystal: Yes. But what you have to do is just bite your tongue, count to 10, you know, and think about the future, think about A.J.
Marissa: My son is in a tailspin, and J.R.'s answer is to pay people off and try to cover up A.J.'s problems, and you want me to bite my tongue? I'm sorry, but, I'm definitely not going to do that.
Annie: What the hell are you trying to prove?
J.R.: The obvious.
Annie: By sandbagging Scott? All that does is weaken Chandler, the company that apparently you're trying to build.
J.R.: If Scott can't handle the competition, then he can get out. I'll buy his shares.
Annie: Scott has done nothing but help this company and help this family. Why can't you just accept that
J.R.: He's in my way.
Annie: Too bad for you -- it's funny -- Adam actually wanted Scott running the company, not you.
J.R.: No, this company is my legacy, not the adopted cousin's. My father acted like a spiteful old fool when he chose Scott over me.
Annie: Oh. So now you're having a little temper tantrum because Daddy didn't give you what you wanted. Grow up and get over it.
J.R.: I only want what's mine.
Annie: No. That's the problem, J.R. You want everything to be yours -- the company, the name, the power, the money. Well, too bad there's something that you will never have -- me.
J.R.: Oh. But wait, didn't I already have you?
Annie: Huh. Past tense, J.R. I love my husband, and I am going to do whatever it takes to make sure that he gets everything that he deserves.
J.R.: Bring it on. You two are amateurs.
Annie: You really, really don't want to make me your enemy.
J.R.: I wouldn't dream of it. Would you like some water?
Annie: I don't want anything from you.
J.R.: Really? Because I'd love to give you everything that your heart desires.
Greenlee: Walk away, Ryan. It's over.
Ryan: I know what I'm doing.
Greenlee: Kendall, talk to him.
Kendall: Like it'll do any good
Ryan: Jesse is a friend, ok?
Greenlee: Yeah, he's under a lot him of pressure from the mayor and Ms. D.A. Liza Colby. She wants to nail someone for David's murder, and or doesn't care if it's you.
Ryan: I get that. Believe me, that's perfectly clear. But I need to do this, ok? I need to. So just stay with the boys until I get back, and do me a favor. Try to keep each other out of trouble, please.
Kendall: Well, maybe we should just trust Ryan on this.
Greenlee: And maybe we should do whatever we can to keep him safe.
Kendall: What was I supposed to do, throw a body block?
Greenlee: Better than nothing.
Kendall: I don't like this either, Greenlee, but Ryan knows what he's doing.
Greenlee: No, he doesn't know what he's doing, because he doesn't know what he did the night that David was murdered, and he doesn't know that I found digitalis in his jacket.
Kendall: All right, I'm all for protecting Ryan. But if we keep shielding him from the police, don't you think he'll get suspicious?
Greenlee: I'll take that chance. Because if being interrogated again makes Ryan remember the vial I found in his jacket, you know what he'll do. He won't let someone else take the fall for this. The case will be closed. Spike's dad will be in jail for 10-20 years. Is that what you want?
Kendall: Ryan is not going to prison.
Greenlee: How could he do this?
Kendall: You know exactly how.
Greenlee: I won't let this happen.
Kendall: Ok. So you're gonna stop Ryan from digging, something that he's clearly passionate about? Well, good luck with that.
Greenlee: Maybe Ryan would stop trying to remember -- if the vial was found in someone else's pocket.
Jesse: You miss me or the food?
Ryan: You got a minute?
Jesse: Got a call in to your lawyer.
Ryan: Yeah, I don't really want to wait.
Jesse: Wow. You don't hear that often.
Ryan: I'd like to make a deal.
Jesse: I don't do deals. D.A.s do the deals.
Ryan: No, not that kind of a deal.
Jesse: What kind of a deal? What do you want?
Ryan: I'm hoping that we can kind of help each other out a little bit, Jesse. I'm hoping -- well, I will tell you everything that I know about the night that David was murdered, and I'm hoping that you will tell me everything that you know.
Jesse: I don't know if I can agree to that as the chief of police, but as your friend, I got to tell you that Liza Colby thinks that you killed David Hayward. And the mayor is a cranking up the pressure.
Ryan: And what do you think?
Jesse: I don't think you went to David's room with the intent to poison him. I mean, you hate the guy, but premeditated murder? Not a chance.
Ryan: So what does your gut say?
Jesse: What if David spiked that drink for you?
Ryan: Ok. That's not such a crazy theory.
Jesse: He feels Greenlee's slipping away. You show up, you fight. Whether it's before or after the fight, I don't know, but something goes wrong.
Ryan: And David accidentally poisons himself.
Jesse: It's possible. Two glasses, one lethal, one not. Somehow he's confused or distracted. He drinks from the wrong glass. A few minutes, dead.
Ryan: Do you have any evidence of this, or is this just sort of wishful thinking?
Jesse: I prefer to call it a theory. It's as good as any.
Annie: Don't talk to me like that.
J.R.: All I said is I want to give you everything you've ever wanted. What's so horrible about that?
Annie: It's your attitude, you smug son of a bitch. I should slap you again.
J.R.: Is that all you think it takes? A hand against my cheek and I cower into the corner? You must have me mistaken for someone who doesn't have stones, someone like your husband. You know, Switzerland is really nice this time of year.
Annie: We are not moving to Europe. And it's funny -- there was a reason that Adam wanted Scott running Chandler.
J.R.: Yeah, it's called spite.
Annie: No. He just knew that in order for the company to really succeed, somebody with real integrity had to be in charge.
J.R.: Integrity is so overrated. I don't need Scott hanging on my neck, dragging me and the company down.
Annie: Scott is not going anywhere, and neither am I. And now you've made your first huge mistake -- underestimating him, underestimating me.
Annie: I didn't expect you back so soon.
Scott: I'll bet.
Annie: You're upset because I kind of fixed you up on a lunch date with Caleb?
Scott: I'm upset because you lied to me.
Annie: I'm sorry, but I knew if I suggested you meet with Caleb, you wouldn't do it.
Scott: No, I wouldn't.
Annie: I know you think he's the enemy, but Caleb is smart, and he hates J.R., and we could really use him on our side right now.
Scott: And we promised each other that we would always be honest.
Annie: It was business.
Scott: You're my wife. I need to know that I can trust you 100%, and that includes business.
Annie: I love how honest you are and how much integrity you have. Really, it's amazing. But we are fighting J.R. here, and --
Scott: And we'll win.
Annie: No, we won't, Scott. Not like this. J.R. is playing dirty, and if you want to win, you've got to start playing dirty, too.
Krystal: Here you go. Two slices of pie.
Caleb: Your slices are small.
Krystal: I'm not judging. I don't judge -- about most things.
Caleb: Thank you. Did I give you the wrong impression?
Krystal: Caleb, I'm a big girl, all right? You have eyes for someone else. I'll live.
Caleb: Krystal, right now my eyes are on what needs to be done.
Krystal: I'll live.
Caleb: You're better off. Trust me.
Krystal: Listen. Just don't put my daughter in the middle of any kind of professional crossfire. Ok?
Caleb: She's gonna be fine, and she's gonna pass the bar this time.
Krystal: Do you realize that she is in the middle of a very, very difficult divorce? And she's trying her damnedest to keep it friendly.
Caleb: That's not gonna be easy dealing with Junior.
Krystal: You see, that's my point. That's point. You are at war with "Junior." Ok? I don't want her dragged in the middle of it.
Caleb: Neither do I.
Krystal: Just the fact that she works for you sends J.R. straight to ballistic.
Caleb: We've already had that conversation, and she wants to stay. She knows how to hold her own, just like her mother.
Krystal: You don't have to butter my bread. Just don't put my daughter in a situation that's gonna hurt her. Because if you do, you're gonna have to answer to me.
Caleb: Duly noted. Too small.
J.R.: J.R. Chandler.
Asher: It's Asher. I just wanted to let you know that I've got a great in at Caleb Cortlandt's place. I'm gonna give the kid computer lessons.
J.R.: That's great.
Asher: So if there's anything you want me to do --
J.R.: Actually, I have a meeting right now. I'll have to call you back.
Marissa: A.J.'s out of the house, right?
Marissa: Good. Then maybe you can explain to me why you didn't tell me that our son got into a fight at school today.
J.R.: It's not that big of a deal.
Marissa: The other kid had to have stitches.
J.R.: I'm sorry. That's what boys do. They fight.
Marissa: Not our son. And apparently, this wasn't the first time either.
J.R.: Ah. You spoke to the principal?
Marissa: Yeah. He was very happy about your donation for the new playground equipment.
J.R.: Well, I just want to help.
Marissa: You cannot bribe the principal and make our son's problems disappear, J.R.
J.R.: It's just a phase.
Marissa: No, it is not just a phase. A.J. ran away, ok? He's starting fights at school. A.J. is in trouble.
J.R.: And you're overreacting.
Marissa: When are you going to see what the real problem is? All this acting out, the fighting, the bullying -- who do you think he's learning it from?
Kendall: Have you completely lost your mind?
Greenlee: Since David died, it feels like it.
Kendall: Well, anyone in particular you'd set up?
Greenlee: There's Liza.
Kendall: No. No. No. This is crazy, Greenlee. Absolutely not.
Greenlee: You went with it. Just for a second, you liked the idea. We could take it. We could put it in her purse. We could put it in a drawer.
Kendall: No. I'm in enough trouble already -- destroying evidence, remember? I'm done. I'm not gonna do this. I will keep protecting Ryan, I will keep secret about the digitalis, but that's it. I can't do anything else. No putting anything in anyone's purses or drawers. None of that.
Greenlee: It was just an idea.
Kendall: Yeah, like the great idea you had to frame my mother for cooking the books at Fusion? Like the brilliant idea you had for sabotaging her plane? She could've died. I still haven't forgiven you. So this is me stopping you from making another stupid mistake that could ruin someone's life.
Greenlee: I'm sorry. You're right. I'm all over the place. I'm scared for Ryan, I'm sad for David, and I just -- I hate that I'm the cause of all of it. I just want to do something, anything.
Kendall: Did you talk to the police?
Ryan: I talked to Jesse.
Kendall: What happened? Any evidence?
Ryan: No. I got nothing. I got nothing new.
Greenlee: Thank God.
Ryan: What do you mean, thank God? Don't you want to find out who killed David?
Greenlee: Of course, I do.
Kendall: She's just glad that you're back, that there was no drama.
Ryan: Something good did come out of it. Jesse gave me the number to a hypnotherapist.
Greenlee: What? You can't be serious.
Ryan: Yes, I'm very serious, Greenlee. I want to remember what happened.
Greenlee: But a hypnotist? What if he makes you bark like a dog or tap-dance? You've seen the disclaimer "for entertainment purposes only." There's a reason.
Ryan: Look, Dr. Frankel specializes in traumatic memory retrieval. She's not gonna make me bark like a dog or anything like that. She's very respected.
Greenlee: We've heard of stories like this, of people having false retrievals, not remembering exactly what happened.
Ryan: I don't know what else to do. I really don't. This is the only shot I got, so I got to take it, ok?
Kendall: You know what? I think it's time to get the boys home.
Ryan: All right. I'll help the nanny round them up, and Dr. Frankel is on her way over anyway.
Greenlee: Way to help.
Kendall: What am I supposed to do? If Ryan wants to get hypnotized so that he remembers, that's his business. You can't control every little thing.
Greenlee: What if he remembers something?
Kendall: What if he doesn't? I'm gonna go help him with the boys.
[Greenlee takes Ryan's phone and calls herself]
Kendall: Hey. Sorry I'm late.
Bianca: How are the kids?
Kendall: They're good. I left them with the nanny. They were having some snacks. What are you drinking?
Bianca: Iced tea.
Kendall: Oh. I could give you something a little stronger than that.
Bianca: Why? What happened now?
Kendall: You mean aside from the fact that David is dead, half of our friends are suspects, and I still haven't told Zach everything?
Bianca: Translation -- getting arrested.
Kendall: Footnote -- getting arrested for helping Ryan.
Bianca: The longer you wait, the harder it is gonna be.
Kendall: I know, Binks, I know, but I can't call him. I mean, you know how Zach is. He think four words are a conversation. He'll hang up the phone before I even have a chance to explain to him. And then he'll hop in his car and he'll stew the entire way down the interstate. And then when he shows up, that's it -- kaboom. Unless -- I mean, it is only a few hours' drive.
Bianca: Don't even think about it.
Kendall: I'll be back by morning.
Bianca: Kendall, you are out on bail. You're not allowed to leave the state. If you get caught, it'll make things even worse.
Kendall: I will not get caught
Bianca: I am gonna let the air out of your car tires.
Kendall: Ok. All right. Yes, that was dumb. That was a dumb idea, ok?
Bianca: Thank God. I have a conference call. I'll see you back at the house?
Kendall: Yes. Yes, ma'am.
Kendall: Ok. Bye.
Ryan: Dr. Frankel. Come on in.
Dr. Frankel: Thank you.
Ryan: Yeah, thank you for coming on such short notice.
Dr. Frankel: I just hope I can help.
Ryan: Yeah, well, me, too. I've never done this before, right, so I don't really know what to expect or what happens next.
Dr. Frankel: Why don't you just tell me about yourself and the problem you've been having?
Ryan: Ok. Um, I got into a fight, a physical fight with a man, and I -- I don't remember most of it. I remember how it started. I have pieces of that, and then next thing I know, I came to and I got a cut on my face.
Dr. Frankel: And this man?
Ryan: it's David Hayward. I'm sure you've ready the papers. And I realize that he didn't die from this fight, but I also don't believe that I poisoned him, so I want to know what happened. I really need to know everything that happened.
Dr. Frankel: Have you had any memory problems prior to that night?
Ryan: Yes. Well, um, I recently suffered an aneurysm, and I lost some sort of short-term memory around that. But a few years ago, I was -- I was shot, and I lost a big chunk of time with regard to that. But apparently, that had to do with physical trauma. And so I'm wondering maybe if the fight triggered something, had some sort of residual effect there.
Dr. Frankel: There's been a lot of research lately on double-impact trauma, but there's also the possibility of repression, as well. Why don't you get comfortable, and we'll get started.
Dr. Frankel: There's not gonna be any hocus-pocus. I'm not gonna put you into a trance. I'm just gonna simply guide you into a state of deep relaxation, and then once you're there, we'll explore your memory, and hopefully we can piece together what happened that night.
Asher: Perfect timing. I was just about to knock.
Caleb: Our computers are fine.
Asher: Hello, sir.
Caleb: Who are you?
Asher: Ms. Montgomery hired me to give Miranda computer lessons. I'm an excellent teacher. I could maybe even help you out.
Caleb: I don't want your help. The kid's upstairs with her nanny.
Asher: I'll go get her.
Caleb: No, I don't think -- just wait right there.
Scott: I won't stoop to J.R.'s level.
Annie: Well, ok. While you're busy doing the honorable thing, he will blindside you with something that you can't come back from.
Scott: J.R. is vindictive, he is impulsive, he will make a mistake.
Annie: So we do nothing?
Scott: No. We watch, we wait, and we prepare.
Annie: Oh, come on, Scott. Seems a little passive to me. I mean, why don't we go on the attack instead of just waiting for the next J.R. bomb to explode in our faces?
Scott: Annie, I'm not saying we don't fight, but I will not compromise myself or who I am any more than I already have.
Annie: Did you at least talk to Caleb?
Scott: Oh, yeah. He had a very interesting proposition.
Annie: What was it?
Scott: It doesn't matter. I turned him down. Now, promise me no more going behind my back.
Annie: I was just trying to help. It's just because I love you so much, and I want you to get everything that you deserve. And I just figure if I can help make that happen, maybe I should try to --
Scott: No, you don't have to.
Annie: You're just the most amazing man, and you've given me and Emma the most amazing life. I just want to give back to you. I want to take care of you the way that you've taken care of us. I'm sorry, ok? I was just trying to help. You're not that mad, are you?
Scott: Hmm. Come here.
Annie: [Chuckles] I didn't think so.
J.R.: You can't blame me for A.J. fighting.
Marissa: Well, maybe he could've talked his way out of it, but that's not what his father does, is it?
J.R.: Caleb provoked me.
Marissa: Yeah, and you couldn't wait to jump down his throat.
J.R.: I was defending myself. And you know what? If A.J. is being bullied, then maybe he does to stand up for himself.
Marissa: Oh. So you're proud that your son put another kid in the hospital?
J.R.: Of course not.
Marissa: Do you know what it was like to be David Hayward's daughter and to hear all the terrible things that people said about him?
J.R.: They didn't exactly throw rose petals for Adam Chandler.
Marissa: Yes, exactly. You suffered because of Adam's sins. He hurt people, and it made you miserable. Is that really what you want for our son?
J.R.: You may not agree with my methods, but everything I do is to protect this family! A.J. is my first priority, and I have been there for him since his lost his real mother!
Scott: Now, are you gonna let me handle J.R. my way?
Scott: Thank you.
Annie: But if you would just consider the Caleb thing an option -- Scott, Europe is really, really far away.
Scott: Annie --
Annie: And apparently, Caleb was like a total shark of a lawyer in L.A., like a real barracuda. so if J.R. underestimates Caleb, and Caleb's on our side --
Scott: But we're just as vulnerable to him. If we let him into Chandler, we give him access. If we give him access, he could find out that I stole the nanotech plans from Palmer. We lose everything. I go to prison.
Annie: That's only if he finds out, and you have been very careful not to leave a trail behind you. If it means beating J.R. at his own game, isn't the risk worth the gamble? Please, Scott. For me?
J.R.: I'm sorry, Marissa. I didn't mean it the way that it sounded. You're A.J.'s mother in every possible way.
Marissa: J.R., it's fine. I know what you meant.
J.R.: He loves you. He's totally connected to you.
Marissa: You know, I have a meeting with Caleb, and I'm late.
J.R.: You've been spending a lot of time with that guy.
Marissa: Yeah, well, the bar exam is tomorrow.
J.R.: Do you not get why he's your best study buddy? Because he's out to get me.
Caleb: She'll be down in a minute.
Asher: How long have you lived here ? Nice family. Who's he?
Caleb: He used to be my family. She'll be down in a minute.
Officer: Hey, Chief? You're gonna want to come out here.
Jesse: I'm kind of in the middle of something here.
Officer: Yeah. A woman says she's a friend of yours?
Jesse: What the hell happened?
Officer: Pulled her over for speeding -- the state line. She was jumping bail.
Dr. Frankel: I want you to go back to the night of Caleb Cortlandt's party. See yourself there. Now, what do you remember?
Ryan: Madison. She was my date. She looked so beautiful. We danced, and we kissed. But I had to leave to go to Liza's office to find something.
Dr. Frankel: What?
Ryan: Evidence for Greenlee. Liza caught me. I went back to the party, saw Greenlee. She said that she didn't want my help, that she wanted to stay married to David, and I didn't believe her. I could tell that she was upset, that -- that she needed me.
Dr. Frankel: What happened next?
Ryan: I went to David's room, and we argued.
Dr. Frankel: What is it, Ryan? What do you remember?
[Using her cell phone, Greenlee listens in]
Jesse: You're kidding me. Kendall, four simple little words: "Do not leave town."
Kendall: Jesse, I swear I was not skipping bail.
Jesse: You weren't skipping? What were you skipping, to my lou?
Kendall: Would you stop? I had to get to Zach to explain to him about the charges.
Jesse: So the whole telephone thing just doesn't really work for you?
Kendall: Come on, Jesse. You know how Zach is. If he hears that I destroyed evidence to help Ryan, he will go ballistic.
Jesse: Kendall! I just -- I --
Kendall: Ok, listen, Jesse, I swear I was gonna come right back.
Jesse: She was coming right back, guys. You really think that's gonna matter to a judge?!
Kendall: I don't know, ok? I don't know. What do we do now?
Jesse: What do you mean, what do we do now? I take you down to the holding cell. You wait there until your arraignment. "What do we do now?" That's what we do now.
Caleb: Ok. Constructive trust.
Marissa: Equitable restitutionary remedy to reach product of assets wrongfully appropriated through fraud, mistake, or breach.
Caleb: That's the last of them. You didn't miss one.
Marissa: Ah. Well, it was a really good idea to study outside. The fresh air cleared my head.
Caleb: I don't think we want to do that. We want to fill your head with torts and case law.
Marissa: Hello? Yep. Actually, he's right here. You really need to get a cell phone.
Caleb: Who is it?
Marissa: it's Scott.
Scott: Caleb, it's Scott Chandler. Listen, I reacted to your offer a little too hastily earlier. I'd like to discuss it further if it's still on the table.
Caleb: I think that can be arranged.
Bianca: I am so sorry.
Asher: At least she missed the keyboard, right?
Bianca: Well, Miranda can get a little excited. I'm just gonna get her in some dry clothes, and then' Ill bring her back down to finish her lesson, ok?
Asher: That's cool. I'm just gonna go set up a game that she's gonna love.
Asher: It's Asher. You free now?
J.R.: Yeah. I can talk now.
Asher: I'm in front of Caleb Cortlandt's computer, wondering if there's anything you needed.
J.R.: I might need you for more than just hacking. Are you up for that?
Asher: Whatever you need, I'm in.
Dr. Frankel: Ok, tell me about the emotion going through you. You're in David's room. You're arguing. What do you feel?
Ryan: I -- I feel very worried.
Dr. Frankel: Worried about what?
Ryan: About Greenlee.
Dr. Frankel: Were you worried about Greenlee?
Ryan: Because -- because I love her.
