Newscaster: In sports, the provisional pole for Sunday's --
Second Newscaster: The forecast, mostly sunny skies today with a brisk easterly wind --
Third Newscaster: 9-year-old metro girl has a new lease on life thanks to --
Angie: Doesn't anyone give you the time anymore?
Jesse: You ok?
Angie: What time is it?
Angie: Oh, my God.
Jesse: What's the matter?
Angie: When I got dressed, 3:36. 3:36 when I looked at the clock, when I could still see it.
Jesse: So that means your vision's --
Angie: It's been over an hour. And this is the longest -- Jesse, what if this is it? What if this is when it doesn't come back?
Krystal: Ok, exhibit "A", exhibit "B". "A"? "B"? What do you think?
Opal: Well, I guess it depends on which way you want to go. This is more kind of, you know, slow and steady. This is a little more fast and furious. Which one do you think Mountain Man would prefer?
Krystal: I'm not dressing for Mountain Man.
Opal: Oh, sure you're not.
Tad: So what time would you two gorgeous types like to leave?
Krystal: Oh, actually, I'm all set with a ride.
Opal: Yeah. She's showing up with the host himself.
Tad: Caleb? You're going with Caleb Cooney?
Tad: By car or mule?
Caleb: Hey, is she ok?
Bianca: Yeah. I finally got her to fall asleep.
Caleb: Oh, good. You should try to get some, too.
Bianca: I think I'd want to, staying up at the hospital all night, but for some reason I'm wired.
Caleb: Is she ok in that room? Is she scared?
Bianca: How could she be scared with her protector big Gus by her side?
Caleb: "Big Gus"?
Bianca: That's what she named the gorilla you got her.
Caleb: Oh. Hmm.
Bianca: Thank you, by the way. She loves it.
Bianca: It's good of you to go out of your way and get that for her, especially when you're so busy hosting the party tonight.
Caleb: Oh, don't remind me. Whew. [Coughs]
Bianca: You've been doing that a lot since the fire.
Bianca: Coughing. Were you ever checked out for smoke inhalation?
Caleb: No. I can't. I'm allergic to hospitals.
Bianca: Wow. Hospitals, conversation, people in general: It is amazing you don't roll around in a bubble.
Caleb: I'm not allergic to all people, just people who talk too much.
Bianca: I called her, by the way.
Bianca: My mom. She says thank you for saving Miranda's life. I'm still pretty grateful to you for saving hers.
Caleb: I bet there's gonna be a lot of photographers there tonight.
Bianca: Probably. It's a pretty high-profile event.
Caleb: You think your mom's gonna show up?
Ryan: So you ready for this?
Kendall: Yeah. Drinking and dancing? What's not to be ready for? I'm kidding. Yes, yes, I know the drill. I'm supposed to keep an eye on Liza while you break into her office.
Ryan: And if there's even the slightest hint of suspicion --
Kendall: Yes, I will send up the bat signal.
Ryan: Hey, this is important, ok? We need to get this evidence. We get this evidence, and Greenlee will be free of this bastard forever.
Kendall: Ok. And then what?
Ryan: You know, she doesn't do those characters.
Greenlee: Hi. Wait till you see this dress. Next to your tux, the guests at the party won't know what hit them. Don't you want to see the dress?
David: Of course, I do. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to this party.
Angie: I know I said I could handle this, losing my sight and having a baby on top of it, and I can. I will, but --
Jesse: I have no doubt in my mind that you can, baby.
Angie: But this is really happening, if this morning was the last time I see your face -- I'm not ready. Not yet.
Jesse: Hey, this is gonna be hard. We're gonna get through this together, ok? We'll be ok.
Angie: Oh, Jesse, I love you so much.
Jesse: Me, too, baby. Me, too.
Krystal: Well, I guess I have to freshen up on the rules, because I had no idea that two friends couldn't show up at the same party together.
Tad: Don't do that. Don't try and make me feel like an idiot just because I care.
Krystal: No one can make you feel like an idiot, Tad. You either are or you aren't. And you are acting like I am eloping with a man, when we're just going on one date!
Tad: Ah. So you admit it? It's a date.
Krystal: Agh! Opal, help. Please help me.
Opal: Krystal is a big girl, Tad. She can take care of herself.
Krystal: Not to mention, my dear, you didn't ask me to this party.
Tad: But I didn't think I had to. I just kind of assumed it goes with the dinner.
Krystal: Oh, great.
Tad: Ok, fine. So it's my fault? Terrific. So what are you gonna do? That's nice. You gonna dump me, make me go with Ma?
Krystal: You know what? On that note, I'm gonna go change.
Opal: Fast and furious, without a doubt.
Tad: You can't honestly tell me you think this is a good idea?
Opal: As a matter of fact, I do, Tad, because you know what a big fan I am of Erica being with Jackson.
Tad: Did I miss a page? What the hell does Erica or Jackson have to do with this?
Opal: Caleb saved Erica's life, for crying out loud!
Tad: What's your point? You'd rather see Krystal dating Caleb just so he stays away from Erica?
Opal: He is Palmer's nephew. How bad could he be?
Bianca: Well, my mom really wanted to be here for Palmer, but she can't. So I'm gonna take lots of pictures for her. Maybe I'll even send her one of you all spruced up in your tux.
Caleb: Yeah. Whoopee. Well, I guess I better get ready for this thing. Ahem.
Bianca: All right. Go. Go get beautiful.
Caleb: Tell me again, how did I end up here?
Bianca: Oh, come on. It's not gonna be that bad. A part of you might actually enjoy it.
Caleb: Hmm. Miranda -- she really is something, that kid.
Bianca: Hey, you don't have to tell me. Caleb, I know you didn't want to talk about it before, but when you said something at the hospital about Sonia, who was she? What happened?
Caleb: The fire just reminded me of something that happened a long time ago. You take care of your baby.
Bianca: I will.
Ryan: Look, I can't even think past the next couple of hours. Ok? It's just about getting this evidence. It's about Greenlee confronting David in front of everybody. That's all that's important right now.
Kendall: Yes, Ryan, I get that. But if Greenlee's free --
Ryan: Well, then we all get to move on with our lives: You with Zach, me with Madison.
Kendall: Ok. And Greenlee? What happens with her?
Ryan: Whatever she wants, Kendall. That's the point here. What is this? Why do you keep doing this? What's going on?
Kendall: Ryan, I'm trying to be realistic, that's all. Yes, yes, you're about to get the goods on David, and, yes, Greenlee will be free to leave him -- or at least try. But if Greenlee's alone --
Ryan: It's not gonna matter.
Kendall: To you, or to her? Come on, Ryan, we both know Greenlee. When she wants something, she goes for it.
David: I've been thinking about something for a while now, and I wasn't sure how you would receive it.
David: I'd like to go away, just the two of us.
Greenlee: You want to take a trip?
David: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, this party has got me thinking, you know, this could be just the start. Now, I'm not trying to pressure you or anything. It's just I think it would be beneficial if we just put a distance between us and everyone, everything. You know, give us some time to really focus.
Greenlee: Without all the noise and distractions. I like it, yeah.
David: Great. And in the end, if things go as I believe it will, I'll be happy to get rid of all the evidence, Greenlee. It'll be us. No blackmail, no threats. Just you and me.
Greenlee: Really? You mean that?
David: Of course, I do. I'm done with all the lies, Greenlee. Aren't you?
Greenlee: I want it to be real between us again. I really do.
David: I know. I know you've been trying to understand what I did, to get past what I did.
Greenlee: And I'm almost there.
David: I'm really looking forward to getting rid of all that evidence.
Greenlee: Yeah. Me, too. It'd be nice not to have a cloud hanging over my head, over us.
David: Right. Sounds incredible. You know, there is an upside to all of this.
Greenlee: What's that?
David: Well, it gives us a truly momentous occasion to look forward to: The day we reaffirm our commitment to each other as husband and wife.
Kendall: Ok, what if Greenlee breaks free of David and comes looking for you?
Kendall: Greenlee knows where we stand, ok? She's the one who made it clear to me our time has passed. Once we get her away from David, then we just part ways.
Kendall: That sounds very formal: "Part ways."
Ryan: Well, it's the truth. It's reality. It's what's gonna happen.
Kendall: All right. And if David doesn't let go?
Ryan: We make him.
Kendall: How are we gonna do that?
Ryan: Ok, you know what? First of all, you're not part of the "we." And I'm saying that out of love, ok? I really appreciate all of your help here, but you don't need to get any more involved in this, ok? Does Zach even know about any of this?
Kendall: I want to help, all right? Playing lookout isn't exactly dangerous work.
Ryan: Thank you -- sticking by me through all this.
Kendall: Yeah, like you could keep me away.
Madison: Oh. I'm totally interrupting, aren't I?
Kendall: No, no, not at all. I was actually just leaving. Wow. You look amazing. That's a gorgeous dress!
Madison: Thank you.
Kendall: Ok, I will see you both tonight.
Ryan: Ok. Yeah, yeah. Wow. She's right. You look amazing. I especially like your choice in footwear.
Madison: Oh. Right. Um, well, you remember what happened at Jake and Amanda's wedding?
Ryan: Yes. The case of the mismatched shoes.
Madison: Well, I kind of wanted to redeem myself with a pair of fantastic heels. So I went shopping, but I couldn't decide, so I got four pairs. Totally maxed out my credit card. Obviously I have to return three of the pairs, and to make a long story longer, I was just hoping that maybe you could help me pick out a pair.
Ryan: Sit down and take them off. Ok, let me start with this one.
Madison: Why do I get the feeling you're gonna pull out a glass slipper right now?
Ryan: No, no glass slippers. But my car does turn into a pumpkin at midnight.
Caleb: [Chuckles] Oh, boy. You knew if I came back here that I'd settle in, didn't you? Well, I'm gonna do this thing because you wanted me to do it. And I will get your company back. I saved a kid, Pete. I got there in time, not like before.
Angie: I thank God every night I'm no longer alone in this. Because as frightening and as heavy as this is, it's only the half of what I was carrying before.
Jesse: Well, at least then you had Jake.
Angie: Oh, Jake's not you. I was so scared to be a burden, I didn't even realize how much I needed my husband.
Jesse: Well, he's right here, and he's not going anywhere. Hey, I have an idea.
Jesse: Why don't we just skip the party, stay here, order some food?
Angie: Oh, I want to go, Jesse.
Jesse: Even if you can't see?
Angie: No, this episode -- it will pass, just like the rest of them.
Jesse: But I thought you said --
Angie: No, I know what I said, and there is a part of me that's still scared that my vision won't return, but I am sure that it will be back before the end of the night.
Jesse: Baby, you have got nothing to prove. Understand me?
Angie: Yes, I do. David is already lining up my replacements, I mean, like I don't even exist anymore. I need to go to this party.
Jesse: And when he starts slinging the mud -- the insults, the threats?
Angie: I will straighten my back, hold your hand tight, and order you a stiff drink.
Jesse: I'm serious. Baby, he's not gonna make this easy for you.
Angie: I know. The man wants me gone, and for a little while, he will have his wish, because I'll have to take a leave of absence: Have the baby, learn how to cope. But it doesn't mean that I have to leave for good, and it certainly does not mean that I have to hand over my job to one of David's flunkies.
Jesse: Well, if you still can't see by the time we get there, there's gonna be questions.
Angie: Well, everybody will just have to wait for answers, because I'm not ready to go public with this. And, sweetheart, hopefully we won't even have to worry about that.
Jesse: And you're sure this is just gonna pass?
Angie: Yes. And if it doesn't, so what? I've got you.
Jesse: To have and to hold.
Angie: My start, my middle, my finish.
Caleb: I'm here to pick up Krystal.
Opal: She's just putting on the finishing touches. Please come in!
Caleb: You look very nice.
Opal: Oh! Why, thank you. Likewise.
Caleb: Why's he looking at me like that?
Opal: He's not looking at you in any special way at all. Just come on right in.
Caleb: Thank you.
Tad: So by all means, can I offer you anything? Maybe a cocktail? A banjo? Perhaps some raw meat?
Caleb: Do we have a problem, Ted?
Tad: It's Tad, but I'm sure you knew that.
Opal: You two ever see a couple of warring roosters puffing up their chests?
Tad: No, actually, Ma, I haven't. But I'm just simply trying to, you know, welcome the man to my home.
Caleb: Yours and Krystal's home?
Tad: Yeah, yeah. That's pretty much it. We share it. She is the mother of my child.
Caleb: Hmm. Interesting arrangement.
Tad: You're gonna bust my chops about my living arrangements after you've lived out in God only knows where for how long?
Tad: I'm simply trying to get to know the man.
Krystal: Oh. Well, I thought that was my job. Wow.
Caleb: Well, "Wow," yourself.
Krystal: You certainly clean up nice.
Caleb: You ready to get this thing over with?
Krystal: Sweet talker. Heh heh. Let's do it.
Caleb: All right.
Opal: See you there.
Krystal: See you there. When's the last time you offered a woman your arm?
Caleb: You don't want to know. Did I do it wrong?
Krystal: Oh, you're doing just fine.
Opal: Well, this is gonna be a real hoot.
Tad: Which part?
Opal: The part about watching you get all red and embarrassed.
Tad: Ma, you could never embarrass me. You know that.
Opal: Thanks, but I wasn't talking about me. I'm just thinking that the way you were just behaving with Caleb, you might very well end up embarrassing yourself.
Ryan: I was about to say the same thing.
Madison: All packed up and ready to go.
Ryan: You sure. You want me to make sure that the right shoe is in the right place?
Ryan: You look so good in all of them. Why don't you just keep them all?
Madison: Because I have rent to pay.
Ryan: Consider them a gift.
Madison: I love that you're offering, and trust me, the Fusionista in me is screaming to take you up on it. But, look, I've worked really hard to get myself out of debt, and I just want to be responsible. Do you want to go?
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
Madison: I mean, we don't have to. We can wait if you want.
Ryan: No, I'm ready. I'm ready, if you're ready?
Madison: Yeah. You think Greenlee and David will be there already?
Ryan: We're about to find out.
Greenlee: You mind?
David: Not at all.
Greenlee: Thank you.
David: You look breathtaking.
Greenlee: You don't look so bad yourself.
David: I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
Greenlee: Used to what?
David: The thrill I get when I walk into a room with you on my arm.
Greenlee: We're gonna be late if I don't put the finishing touches on my makeup, like, right now.
David: Fine with me. That way, we get to make a big entrance.
Greenlee: Just the way I like it.
David: Do you remember our first big entrance?
Greenlee: I think everyone in this town remembers our wedding.
David: Mm-hmm. Your life was so uncertain then. I mean, you barely out of a hospital bed, ready to get back at the world. And me? Well, there we were, embarking on this journey together, not sure where it would take us.
Greenlee: Pretty crazy.
David: Yeah. Crazy.
[Music plays at the Yacht Club]
Krystal: Wow. This is beautiful.
Caleb: Where the hell is everybody? Don't they read the invitation? Why bother putting a time on the thing?
Krystal: Nobody shows up for these things on time.
Caleb: That's rude.
Krystal: You never hosted one?
Krystal: All right, just take a deep breath. You'll make some small talk, you'll take a few pictures, and then you can get back to railing against all the phonies in this town.
Caleb: They are phonies.
Krystal: Oh, yeah. Of course, they are.
Caleb: You're humoring me.
Caleb: Don't stop.
Krystal: [Chuckles] You know, I think you're right, after all.
Greenlee: Hello, Ryan.
David: Madison. Ryan.
Caleb: You're late. But you're less late than the others. So, welcome, and cheers.
David: Right. Cheers.
Singer: I can't deny you've taken over me and I don't know how or why if I was away from here and --
Jesse: You ok?
Angie: Yeah. Just stay close.
Jesse: I'm right here, not going anywhere.
Krystal: Hey, you two.
Jesse: Hey. Whoa. Look at you.
Angie: Krystal. Caleb.
Jesse: Thanks for the invite.
Krystal: Angie, you want to go somewhere and talk?
Angie: No, thanks, sweetie. Caleb knows about my condition.
Krystal: He does?
Angie: Yeah. I was with him yesterday when I had an episode. I happened to be at Wildwind. I smelled smoke. Miranda was upstairs, and, luckily, Caleb got to her. She had breathed in a fair amount.
Krystal: How come I don't know about this?
Angie: She's fine now, thanks to Caleb, who ran upstairs and got her. Caleb?
Caleb: Right here.
Angie: Listen, I want to thank you again. If you hadn't been there --
Caleb: Enough already.
Jesse: Come on. You not only saved a little girl's life, you might've saved my wife's career. She was thinking about throwing in the towel, convinced she couldn't practice medicine anymore.
Caleb: Why would you do that?
Angie: I don't know.
Caleb: The world needs good doctors.
Singer: It's hard for me to see that I'm doing all right without --
Bianca: How did you do it? Spike's accident? Ian's heart? I barely made it through one night. Your boys were in ICU for weeks.
Kendall: Yeah, those were the worst the weeks of my entire life. But now I hardly remember it, and it feels like another life.
Bianca: You know, Caleb bought that gorilla Miranda's got up there. He held her hand all the way to the hospital. I'm starting to get what Mom sees in that guy.
Kendall: I'm sorry. What? What Mom sees in him?
Bianca: Oh, they just had a couple of moments on that mountain.
Kendall: "Moments." Well, Mom with no chai lattes or running water, completely cut off from the outside world -- I bet they had more than a couple of moments.
Bianca: I just hope she and Uncle Jack are having a really good time.
Kendall: Oh, the two of them focused on each other, all alone? How could they not?
Bianca: And it worked wonders for you and Zach, right?
Kendall: But you can't stay trapped inside that bubble forever.
Bianca: You worried about coming home?
Kendall: A little. I don't know. You tell me. You've been here a while.
Bianca: Oh, I'd be lying if I said it was easy. I'm happy to be home. Yeah, bad things happen here. They happen everywhere. But here at home you just -- you never have to face them alone.
Kendall: Yeah. Amen to that.
Bianca: What is -- what's going on with you?
Kendall: Me? No, I'm good. Nothing's going on. I have got everything under control.
Bianca: Well, I'm here if you need me, ok?
Kendall: I know. Thank God for that.
Bianca: Now, you go get ready for this party.
Kendall: Right. Party. Yes. I'm going.
David: Well, if it isn't Chief Hubbard squared. Wonderful to see you.
Angie: Oh, you, too.
David: Only you can't see me right now, can you?
Jesse: Mind your own damn business, Hayward.
David: Unfortunately for you, it is my business, considering I own the hospital and your wife is chief of staff -- granted, not for long.
Angie: Yes, I've heard you've brought in some lackeys for interviews. But I would like to point out the obvious: I have not resigned.
David: Just preparing for the inevitable. Clearly, your condition is getting worse.
Jesse: You just don't stop, do you?
David: You're fighting a losing battle, Angela.
Angie: Oh, you think so?
David: Oh, I know so. I've written a letter to -- let me see -- the hospital board, the staff, the state medical board, citing all the instances in which you treated patients without disclosing your condition. Now, those are serious charges, don't you think? I wonder how they'll handle it.
Singer: I can't help myself, and I can't deny
Tad: I'm not involved. I just don't trust the guy.
Opal: Well, one dance with me, and we'll have the 411.
Tad: The 911.
Madison: I just need to use the ladies' room.
Ryan: Ok. I'll be here.
Ryan: You ok?
Greenlee: I am.
Ryan: No, you're not. Something happened. Did David suspect something?
Greenlee: No, no, no. He wants us to take a trip together to get away from everything and everyone.
Ryan: That's great. That's perfect. No, it is. Greenlee, it's perfect. Just go along with it. Just make it seem like you're psyched about it, because I promise you it's not gonna get that far. It won't. If Liza's office has what I think it has, you'll be out of this marriage by tonight.
Jesse: You need to stop messing with my family. It's the wrong family to mess with.
Angie: Jesse, let's go.
Jesse: Angela, I --
Angie: Look, this is a party, right, and I feel like dancing.
David: Go get your groove on, Jesse.
Singer: Oh, I think I love you --
Ryan: You look good.
Ryan: No, I mean up here, your eyes.
Greenlee: Amazing what a little hope can do, huh?
Ryan: Hold on to that hope because this is gonna be over soon.
Greenlee: Good luck.
Ryan: Thank you, but I'm not gonna need any luck. I'll bring you back some good news.
Greenlee: Then I can lower the boom on David, right in the middle of the party, where he can't hurt me.
Madison: Sorry about that. Long line.
Ryan: No, no problem. Hey, you want to dance?
Madison: Yeah, I'd love to.
Ryan: Yeah? Come on.
Krystal: Liza. Caleb Cooney.
Liza: Yes, I know. We've met.
Krystal: Oh. Ok.
Liza: So I Googled you.
Caleb: You whatted me?
Liza: I didn't realize you were a successful lawyer.
Caleb: I didn't know you cared.
Krystal: Well, Liza is also an attorney.
Caleb: I know that.
Krystal: And she was married to Adam Chandler once.
Caleb: I know that, too.
Krystal: Or was it twice?
Opal: Excuse me. Excuse me, but may I have the pleasure of this dance?
Caleb: I don't dance.
Opal: Yes, come right this way. Here, I'll take that from you. I'm telling you that you are looking pretty darn snazzy tonight, Mr. Caleb Cooney.
Caleb: Thank you.
Opal: Yeah, just like a real person. You know, like the kind of guy that could have a real life, you know, with a woman.
Caleb: What is it with you people?
Opal: I am not "people," C.C. Your uncle was the love of my life.
Kendall: Excuse me, Opal. I'm sorry. Sorry. Hi.
Kendall: I just wanted to thank you for saving my niece.
Opal: For saving -- what? What happened?
Kendall: Well, there was a fire at Wildwind, and Miranda was there, and, thank God, so was Caleb.
Opal: Oh, my --
Kendall: So, pretty soon, my whole family is gonna be in your debt. My mother even mentioned you in her Tweet today.
Caleb: That's quite an honor.
Opal: Yeah, well, I just love those Tweets! I'm telling you they're genius!
Krystal: I'll have to check those out, too.
Ryan: Hey, can I talk to you for a second?
Kendall: Yeah. No, of course. Thank you.
Opal: Of course.
Ryan: It's time. You good? You gonna watch Liza for me?
Kendall: Yes, yes, I'm good. I promise we'll be fine. Go.
Ryan: I got to slip out for a little while.
Madison: You have to go right now?
Ryan: I do. I do. But I'll be back as soon as I can, ok?
Madison: Be careful.
Ryan: I will. I will.
Liza: Hello. Something I can help you with?
Kendall: I just thought maybe we could hang out, catch up.
Liza: Really? We gonna paint each other's toenails and have a pillow fight? I don't think so.
Greenlee: Not having fun?
David: No. It's just another tense moment with the Hubbards.
David: No need to be. Would you like to dance?
Greenlee: I'd love to.
[Ryan snoops around Liza's office as the security guard patrols the hallway]
Angie: My favorite place in the whole world, right where I want to be.
Jesse: Any change?
Angie: You've been dying to ask that all night, haven't you?
Jesse: I didn't want to push.
Angie: Thank you. But no. No change. Uh-huh. What?
Jesse: What "what?"
Angie: I can sense you're grinning. What is it?
Jesse: I don't know. You, me, baby makes three. It's our first family dance.
Angie: Yeah, my feet are killing me about now.
Opal: It turns out that Mr. Caleb Cooney is a bona fide hero. He saved Miranda's life yesterday.
Tad: I'll make sure to buy him a cake.
Krystal: Oh, Tad, what does the man have to do to get you to back off?
Tad: Well, for starters, he could answer a few questions like who he is, where he's been, where he intends to go.
Krystal: Caleb doesn't owe you any.
Tad: No, but he owes you something. But like it or not, I care about you, so you're gonna have to forgive me if I get a little overly protective. My advice? Get used to it.
Singer: Supposed to be around the corner or the bend I'm looking for what might have been
Kendall: Are you all right?
Liza: Uh, just wondering why I'm here when I really don't want to be. So I'm gonna go to my office, and I'm gonna do some work.
Kendall: You can't.
Singer: I figure I'll walk with you baby, walking in déja vu
[As Ryan's phone rings, he stumbles around]
Guard: Anyone in there?
David: I made some arrangements for our trip. We leave tonight.
David: I thought you wanted to go.
Greenlee: I didn't realize we'd be leaving so soon. I do, but I haven't even packed yet.
David: Come on. That's the easy part.
Greenlee: But why?
David: It's all right. Don't worry about it. I'll take care of everything.
Greenlee: Well, where, and for how long? I need to deal with Fusion.
David: Whatever you need to do, do it quickly. I'm not taking no for an answer.
