Angie: Listen, I need to check in on a computer overhaul.
Jake: Sure, just as soon as you tell me why you're fibbing to me.
Angie: What are you talking about?
Jake: Well, I asked you how you were feeling and then you tried to pretend you were really distracted by whatever it was you were reading in your important file, and then I thought I was losing you somehow. And here's the best part. May I? So I think something's up. Am I right?
Angie: Yes, you are.
Annie: The woman is a rock star. Erica Kane. The woman is 100 hells in one lifetime, but she always manages to rise above the ashes. I mean, as much as I hate her, you have to be in awe of that. And she always manages to look good as her world is imploding. It's unbelievable.
J.R.: And you find someone who is free, and you get them on this.
[Snaps cell phone shut]
J.R.: I've been trying all morning to get legal to answer some questions on important research, but apparently, you have the whole team wrapped up.
Scott: I put a rush on that nanotech report. I decided it takes top priority. Hey, this whole family truce thing you proposed is really working.
J.R.: I want those answers by 5:00 today. So Erica went to West Virginia to get uncle Palmer's latest will. Hmm. Huh, you got to hand it to him. He always had something up his sleeve, even right to the very end. Hey. Did you hear about Erica's rescue?
Marissa: Yeah, it's hard not to. It's all over the news.
Annie: If this new will is recent enough, Palmer might've mentioned his nanotech invention.
Scott: And everyone will know I stole it.
Greenlee: Yes, I really am relieved that Erica's alive. Now all we have to worry about is attempted murder.
David: Ok, I already told you that is not going to happen. We're in the clear. On to bigger things.
Greenlee: Uh-uh, not all is fine and forgotten. Erica is going to make us pay for that plane crash. When she's back on her feet, she'll be out for blood.
David: Which is why we need to strike first, before Erica has a chance to put her claws back into Fusion.
Greenlee: Or into me.
Jack: Hey, hey.
Bianca: Mom! Oh, I'm so glad you're all right.
Bianca: She is, isn't she?
Jack: She's--she's fine. I mean, she has this injury on her leg, but the...
Erica: I'm fine.
Jack: Doctors in West Virginia say she's going to be just fine.
Erica: And I am. I am just fine. In fact, I wouldn't even be here. It's just that Jack insisted that I have this thorough exam.
Bianca: Well, if he hadn't, I would have.
Krystal: Almost left this in the cab.
Jack: Oh, no, no. That would be very bad after all she went through to lose Palmer's new will.
Erica: Crazy the lengths I'll go to get you to visit, right?
Bianca: Well, next time, just ask.
Erica: Well, that's funny--that's exactly what your sister just said, just now on the phone.
Bianca: Oh, Kendall wanted to be here.
Erica: I know. I know she did, but her little boys need her a lot more than I do right now, and it is such a treat to see your beautiful face, even if you have to go back right away.
Bianca: Well, I miss my girls, but I can stay a little longer.
Erica: Oh, honey... I love you for that. But really, I'm fine. I'm just fine. I mean, I just--I've just a little cut on my leg, that's all. And believe me, there is nothing--certainly nothing is going to keep me from going back to Fusion and straightening out that mess.
Jack: Ok, you'll excuse me. You're not going anywhere. As a matter of fact, we're going to go find you a doctor. You stay right there.
Erica: I'm fine.
Jack: I say stay there.
Krystal: Erica, you just rest up.
Jack: Listen, I think we should steer the conversation away from Fusion altogether, and I certainly wouldn't mention, even for a moment, Greenlee.
Bianca: Right. We don't want mom to know your daughter almost killed her.
Angie: I thought I was pregnant. And I just found out that I wasn't when you caught me staring at this empty folder.
Jake: Wow. Well, would that be a surprise?
Angie: A big one, but a happy one, though. But anyway, since it's not the case, I'd just like to put it behind me.
Jake: I'm still worried about you.
Angie: She's back.
Jake: I'm sure with all her drama.
Angie: And if there's one person that you don't want to keep waiting... both: It's Erica Kane.
Annie: Where are you going?
Scott: I have to find out what's in Palmer's will, Annie. Because if the nanotech project is mentioned, then Chandler's legal team will be working on my defense, instead of this deal.
Annie: Ok, I'll go with you.
Marissa: Why don't you take the day off?
J.R.: Oh, that sounds great. But... as much as I hate to admit it, Scott's right. The nanotech project--it's going to need all of our full attention. So I probably should get to the office. But we'll have a family day soon. That, I promise. Ok.
David: We really need to move fast, Greenlee, before Erica has a chance to regain her footing.
Greenlee: Well, I'm not so sure she could. All of her buyers have cancelled their orders. The S.E.C. Investigation spooked them, especially when she disappeared.
David: Just give her a few days. She'll be spinning that plane crash survival story so big, people won't even remember the scandal. Now, we can't let that happen.
Greenlee: This time, you do nothing that could harm a hair on her head.
David: You have my word, ok?
David: All right?
David: Now, your initial agreement was winner take all, am I right?
Greenlee: Yeah, whoever had the most buyers for their line won control of Fusion.
David: And with Erica gone, you've come up with new packaging.
Greenlee: Fusion natural has the most buyers now, hands down.
David: So if the launch were held tonight, you could legitimately declare yourself the victor.
Greenlee: I love it.
David: I knew you would.
Greenlee: Randi, I need a list of all the buyers for my line, and then I need you to call the yacht club and the caterer, and tell them that we're going to throw a launch party, tonight.
Greenlee: Yeah. I know it's short notice, but--
Randi: What about Erica?
Greenlee: She's invited. As long as she's willing to accept defeat gracefully.
Randi: She just got rescued, Greenlee. Are you seriously going to end this contest without her even being back at work?
Greenlee: Do you have a problem with that?
Randi: No, but I guarantee you, Erica will.
Jack: Look, I have every intention of sharing my suspicions with your mother, but now is not the time to tell her that maybe her plane was sabotaged.
Bianca: If we did tell mom today, I'm not sure who I'd worry more about--her or Greenlee.
Jake: Well, we're certainly glad that you're here with us. Well, not here with us--home. I'm glad you're...
Angie: The whole town's been praying for your safe return.
Erica: Well, thank goodness those prayers worked, because, as you can see, I'm fine.
Angie: Well, we're going to have to wait until we get the test results back to make that conclusion, ok? But in the meantime, we're going to get some fluids in your system, just to be safe.
Jake: And I just--I don't want to see any more dizzy spells, so I just hope you take this opportunity to close your eyes and just rest.
Jake: All right?
Erica: Look, maybe you didn't recognize me with all of this, but I'm Erica Kane.
Caleb: Nice move.
Erica: I thought so. I'm not going down without a fight.
Caleb: Come on, come on.
Erica: Leave me alone.
Caleb: You can do this. You're not a quitter. Come on.
[Monitor beeps steadily]
Erica: Oh, Jack.
Jack: Hmm. How are you feeling?
Erica: I'm a little more tired than I thought I would be. But I'm so happy to be home.
Jack: Happy to have you home. You know, when it looked like I might have lost you forever, it really made me realize that our lives are too short, too uncertain not to fill them with the people we love. And though what I'm about to do may seem a little sudden, I've been planning it for a while.
Erica: What? What is it, Jack? What are you planning to do?
Jack: When I first heard that your plane had gone down, I was shattered. Because I remembered another plane crash years ago where you saved my life. You willed me to stay alive. But you didn't just save my life, you saved my heart. You showed me that there was something worth living for, that I had someone in my life that would make living my life so worthwhile. And though you have angered me, bewildered me, baffled me, and frustrated me, you have also loved me, so much. Like I love you. So without further eloquence, Erica Kane...
Jack: Will you marry me, again?
Erica: Oh, Jack, I don't know what to say. I--I wasn't expecting this.
Jack: I couldn't wait any longer.
Erica: How long have you had the ring?
Jack: Well, I actually bought the ring when you left for West Virginia. I planned to propose when you got back, but you never came back. And after feeling what it would be like to be without you for the rest of my life, I never want to be separated from you again.
Jake: I'm interrupting.
Jake: I'm going to go. I'll be--
Jack: No, no, no, no. If you're here, it's because Erica needs something, so please...
Jake: Well, I was going to switch it out with some vitamins, but no, it's--
Jack: Go ahead. No, no, go ahead. Listen, you think about this. Because when you give me your answer, I want to know you're 100% sure. She's all yours now.
Jake: [Whispering] I'm sorry.
Jake: Just some vitamins for you, and... go ahead and say it. My timing sucks.
Erica: Oh. No, no. I... I need some time, you know, to--to catch my breath.
Randi: Erica's been gone for weeks. And not by choice. She hasn't had the chance to sell her line the same way you have.
Greenlee: And she won't get one. That's the point of throwing the launch party tonight.
Randi: I'm sorry, but if you claim victory like this, people are going to start to assume that the rumors about her plane crash are truthful.
Greenlee: Are you going to throw this launch party, or are you going to be out of a job like your friend Madison?
Randi: I'll go call the club.
David: You were brilliant.
Greenlee: Yeah? It won't look that way if they link us to the crash.
David: Greenlee, would you stop worrying and concentrate on your victory speech? This is your moment, and no one's going to take that away from you. Not even Erica Kane.
David: Where are you going?
Greenlee: Preemptive strike.
Opal: So where is the mountain girl? After all, I mean, I want to give her a big bear hug.
Bianca: Jake's in there with her now.
Opal: But she's all right, isn't she?
Jack: Well, she has a badly infected wound on her leg and she had a hell of a fever up on that mountain.
Jack: Which is why Bianca and I have decided to postpone telling her of Greenlee's possible involvement in the crash.
Opal: Well, mum is the word, although I would like to wring that daughter of yours' neck from here till Tuesday.
Krystal: Yeah. Anybody want some coffee or...
Jack: That's a good idea. I'll go with you.
Bianca: I'm wired enough.
Jack: You sure?
Opal: Well, I'll have a cup of tea.
Opal: Yeah, that could do me A... how are you holding up, huh?
Bianca: Oh, better, now that I know mom's ok.
Bianca: I think about how this all could have ended. And all because Greenlee didn't want to share Fusion.
Opal: Oh, I know. I know. I keep asking myself what Palmer could have put in that new will of his? You know, whatever change he made, how could it be important enough to risk Erica's life?
Scott: Hi. We--ahem--we heard about Erica.
Annie: Is there anything we can do to help?
Krystal: So you're with him now, huh? Had enough of my daughter's husband? I'm going to go give opal some tea.
Krystal: Excuse me.
Scott: How was Erica?
Jack: Well, you know, it was a very harrowing experience, but she's Erica, so...
Annie: Yeah, and totally my new role model.
Scott: Uh, is it true what I read, that she was in West Virginia for Palmer?
Jack: Yeah, actually. And I've got Palmer's new and presumably final will right here in this bag to prove it.
Scott: New will?
Jack: Yeah, it seems Palmer was adjusting his will right up to the time he died. As soon as Erica's feeling a little bit better, I'll arrange a reading of the will for all the heirs. Excuse me.
Annie: We have to get that will.
David: Wow. Huh. Where did this come from?
Marissa: Can't a girl give her father a hug?
David: Believe me, I'm not complaining. I'm just--I'm just a bit surprised, that's all.
Marissa: I heard about Erica surviving the plane crash.
David: Yeah. Yeah, the woman is indestructible.
Marissa: That's good for you, though, right? I mean, now, no matter what happens, you can't be accused of...
David: I already told you, I would never do anything to intentionally hurt Erica. I hope you believe that. But you didn't bring me here to talk about Erica, now, did you?
Marissa: No. I didn't.
David: Is it J.R.?
David: Are you being more assertive and keeping him away from Annie? Marissa, principles are a good thing, but you need to tuck them away right now and pull out the big guns.
Scott: First I stole the man's invention, now I have to steal his last will and testament.
Annie: So they'll use his second-to-last will and testament.
Scott: Oh, my God.
Annie: I mean, how different can it be? We have to get that and destroy it, Scott, before somebody uses it against you. It might be the last chance we get.
Scott: I know what I have to do, Annie. I know, I know, and... I'm doing this for us. I'm doing this for our life together, for our future. And in the end, it'll all be worth it, right?
Annie: Exactly. This is for us. For the life that we are building together.
Jake: Hello, everybody. She is recuperating from the infection. She's going to be all right. She just needs to take it easy.
Opal: Can't she have some visitors?
Jake: Yeah, just, you know, make it a few at a time.
Jack: Why don't you guys go ahead?
Jack: Yeah. I can handle this alone.
Bianca: Doesn't mean you have to.
Jack: What are you doing here?
Greenlee: I came to welcome Erica home.
Bianca: You're not getting within 10 feet of her.
Greenlee: I'm here to tell Erica that everyone at Fusion is thinking of her.
Jack: Nonsense, you came here to do damage control. Why don't you do us all a favor and just turn around and leave?
Greenlee: I can't believe you're being this way with me.
Jack: Well, you only have yourself to blame for that.
Opal: When I first heard about the crash and thought that you might be hurt, or worse...
Erica: Oh, I'm--I'm fine, opal. I'm fine.
Krystal: And home--thanks to Jackson, and a certain mountain man.
Opal: Mountain man?
Krystal: Yeah. Who was that guy, anyway? What was his story, besides being the grumpiest guy on two feet?
Erica: Oh, no, you can't blame him for that. I mean, it was my plane that destroyed his house. He certainly wasn't very happy about that.
Caleb: "This should more than cover the cost of the damage to your home. Jackson Montgomery. Thanks for saving my girl."
Erica: Jack made sure that Caleb got the check to cover all the damages to his house, didn't he?
Krystal: Yeah, yeah. And the ranger said that he would make sure that he got that up the mountain.
Opal: What's this guy Caleb like? Is he young or old? Hunky?
Erica: Oh, he's just like no other man I've ever met.
Annie: Ok, opal and Krystal are with Erica. I will keep them occupied.
Bianca: You and your flowers aren't welcome here.
Greenlee: Clearly, you haven't heard. My husband and I own this hospital, so I can go wherever I damn well please.
Annie: Is it true? You and David were behind Erica's plane crash?
Greenlee: Hey, shouldn't you be in the psych ward getting fitted for a new straitJacket? I came here to offer my support. Clearly, it's not wanted.
J.R.: Whatcha got there, Scotty boy?
Opal: Hey, no, no! You are not going anywhere!
Erica: That witch had the nerve to accuse me of stealing money from my daughter's charity. She is not going to get away with that. Let me go!
Krystal: Oh, no, no, no, no.
Opal: Hey, hey, hey! You are not going anywhere!
Erica: The nerve of her to even show her face!
Krystal: I know.
Opal: It's true. It's--it's--
Opal: Are you ok, honey?
J.R.: You look caught. What's in the bag?
Scott: Is this yours, Jack?
Jack: It is. Thanks.
Scott: Yeah, I nearly broke my neck tripping over it.
Jack: Hmm. Sorry about that.
Scott: Yeah. Why are you even here?
J.R.: Angie called me. The question is, why are you here? You're not close with Erica, and neither are you, so what's going on, hmm?
Angie: There's someone here that I think you'd like to see.
J.R.: Well, who is this mystery person?
[Scott deeply inhales]
Scott: All right. Ahem. Well, I'm late for my meeting.
Annie: Wait. What--well, you're just going to let this go?
Scott: I don't have a choice, Annie. I can't just rip the bag away from Jackson, ok? All I can do is hope that there is nothing in that document to incriminate me. I'll see you back at the house.
Bianca: How are you doing, mom?
Erica: Oh, honey...much better. Much better, now that Greenlee's gone.
Erica: And you're here.
Erica: You know, you're what kept me going. You and Kendall. And your babies.
Bianca: I can only imagine how horrible it was for you.
Erica: Oh, honey...it was a life-changing experience.
Marissa: I'm doing everything I can to keep J.R.'S focus, but it just feels like he's never fully there for me. You know, it's like a part of him is...
David: With Annie?
Marissa: She has this pull on him. I feel it. I can't compete with that.
David: I don't understand why you don't just walk away from the jerk.
Marissa: Would you walk away from Greenlee? Ets. The thought of him losing another mother from his life...tell me you want your grandson to suffer more than he already has. I have to try and salvage my marriage, if only for his sake. And I need you to help me do it.
David: You don't need my help. You have a secret weapon right there, guaranteed to keep J.R. In check. A.J.
Marissa: No way.
David: That little boy is your winning ticket. Nurse: Thank you.
Angie: There she is. Your friend from chemo, Trent-- that's his widow Cynthia. And I thought you'd want to say hello.
J.R.: Thank you.
J.R.: Cynthia? Cynthia: J.R.? It's good to finally meet you. Boy, you look amazing. Everything's still good? You're in remission?
J.R.: Yeah. But why are you here? Are you ok? Cynthia: I just gave birth to a son.
J.R.: Oh. Cynthia: Little Trent's sleeping in the nursery right now.
J.R.: [Chuckling] Oh. My God. Wow, that's amazing. Congratulations. Cynthia: I only wish Trent were here to see him. How's your family? Marissa and A.J. Must be so happy to have you home.
J.R.: They are. Cynthia: You're so lucky to be there for them. Despite all our ups and downs, Trent wanted to be a father more than anything. Wasn't meant to be, I guess.
J.R.: I'm so sorry. Cynthia: Don't be. You won the battle. That's a good thing. Now you have to honor those who didn't survive by making every moment count.
J.R.: I will. I promise.
J.R.: Please wait. There's something I need to tell you.
Annie: I'm not in the mood.
J.R.: You're the last person I should be attacking, considering everything that you've done.
Annie: Almost breaking up your marriage?
J.R.: No. Saving my life. I thanked you before, but that was all a big mixed-up plan to try to get rid of you. I never genuinely expressed my gratitude for the sacrifice that you made. Donating the bone marrow... you're the reason that I'm alive.
Annie: Where is this coming from?
J.R.: I've been thinking how I've been taking everything for granted. The fact that I'm still here, not to mention, my friends and my family. Just how precious life is. How much of it I've wasted.
David: We have reporters coming from "the wall street herald"-thank you--WRCW, "Pine Valley bulletin," and "tempo."
Greenlee: I brought flowers to Erica.
David: That was your preemptive strike?
Greenlee: Well, you'd think by the way my father and Bianca reacted, I had brought a bomb.
David: Well, you have to know that your father would be feeling very protective of Erica right about now.
Greenlee: Hmm. And to hell with his own daughter.
David: I didn't say that.
Greenlee: It wasn't enough for Erica to be rescued by him. She had to turn my own father against me.
David: I know this isn't easy for you.
Greenlee: He practically threw me out of our hospital. And Bianca was there cheering him on like a little Kane clone.
David: I'm sorry.
Greenlee: You know, I can understand the rest of the world siding with Erica, but my own father?
Opal: Oh, hey.
Krystal: You're the man of the hour.
Opal: Oh, I always knew there was a suit of armor under there.
Jack: Oh, come on, girls, stop it. We all know that Erica would have made it out there, with or without me.
Erica: Well, it would have taken a lot longer without you.
Opal: Oh, I think we'd better leave these two lovebirds to coo over each other, huh?
Krystal: All right. Well, just remember, don't wage any battles until you're out of that bed.
Erica: Oh, I'm ready now.
Krystal: Yeah, I know you are.
Opal: Not until you stop needing smelling salts. That's the rule.
Opal: Listen, she saw Greenlee and nearly popped about 50 blood vessels, ok, so would you please do what you can to keep that one away from her?
Jack: Yes, yes. Thank you.
Opal: Thanks a lot.
Jack: Hmm. Hey.
Erica: So, did--did Greenlee stop by to make sure I had been arrested for money skimming?
Jack: Actually, she--she brought flowers.
Erica: Probably laced with poison ivy, I'm sure. I bet she wishes I was still trapped up on the mountain.
Jack: You know, speaking of which, I just talked to that ranger that was going to drop that check off for us.
Erica: Oh. And how did that go?
Jack: The owner wasn't there when he went to deliver it.
Erica: Oh, well, he was probably off playing lumberJack again.
Jack: Huh. Yeah, probably. Anyway, he went back to make sure the guy got it, but he found the check torn in a million pieces all over the ground. So evidently, this guy doesn't want anything more to do with us.
Erica: Well, I tried, didn't I?
Annie: I know what you mean about appreciating what you have. I think we've both seen how fragile life is and how it can be gone like that.
J.R.: Mine almost was.
Annie: After everything you've been through, isn't it a little late in the game to be coming to this revelation now?
J.R.: I had a huge reminder today. The past is over. The future is, who knows? It's today that really matters.
Annie: I know what you mean.
J.R.: There's no possible way you can know what that's like.
Annie: Yes, from when I was locked up. I mean, no, I wasn't staring death in the face, but I thought that my life was over. I walked out of that situation a new woman. No more playing it safe, no more wasting time.
J.R.: No more waking up and wondering what's for breakfast. It's more like, what's for life?
Annie: It's about knowing what you want. And grabbing it.
Annie: I should go.
Marissa: J.R. didn't come in at all today? Huh. I--I must have just heard him wrong. No, no message, thanks.
Marissa: Hey, I know you're busy.
Scott: No, no, it's ok. What's up?
Marissa: I'm just wondering... is Annie with you?
Scott: She was. She said she was going home. Why?
Marissa: I just needed to ask her something--about the kids. Don't worry about it. Just get back to work.
Marissa: Chandler residence. This is Mrs. Chandler. What happened? A bee sting? No, no. No allergies that I'm aware of. Oh, yeah. If A.J. Says he wants to keep swimming, then that's... actually, you know what? I think I will come and get him. His father will want to see him, make sure he's ok.
Scott: Tell them we need to highlight the unprecedented innovation of the nanotech device, ok? How it's going to revolutionize the industry. How years from now, whenever this technology is used anywhere around the world, the name Chandler will be attached to it.
Greenlee: Can we just go?
David: You know something? I know that this is hard to accept, but your father has always had a blind spot where Erica is concerned. You know that.
Greenlee: Along with the rest of the world.
David: It doesn't matter. I'm going to give you all the love and support you need to make up for what you don't get from anyone else, including your father.
Greenlee: Your love can't make everything else go away, David.
David: I know it's not going to solve everything, or fix the pain you're going through right now. But what we have is strong enough to get through this. You're all I need right now.
Greenlee: I don't know what I need right now.
David: Why don't you try and focus on the fact that we're off the hook for murder?
Greenlee: Erica's not going to let this go, David. Once she finds out that we were responsible for her plane going down, she's going to come after us.
David: One hurdle at a time. Right now, we need to focus on what's directly in front of us.
Greenlee: You're right. You're right. Tonight is about Fusion... and taking back what I never should have lost in the first place.
Bianca: Greenlee came here for a reason. And it wasn't to support my mother.
Opal: Well, it doesn't take a fortune teller to know that that girl has got ulterior motives.
Bianca: Whatever she's planning, she's not going to get away with it.
Erica: You know, surviving those mountains...it's made me stronger than I ever was.
Jack: I didn't think such a thing was possible.
Erica: Hmm. I have never been so sure of who I am and what I want than I am right now.
Jack: I'm listening.
Erica: If I get hurt, so be it. If I have to fight the Greenlees of the world tooth and nail, bring them on. One thing I know is that I will not hide. I will not hide. And I will definitely not surrender. I have survived too much. Way too much to ever just run off and hide in some no man's land just because I'm afraid that I get hurt again. I will live the life I want, with the man who wants the same things I want. And I will take the pleasure with the pain, and I will take the good with the bad. And I will never give up. That's for sure. I will never, ever quit. I will have the life I want, because I am committed to living every moment to the fullest.
Jack: Erica Kane, would you do me the glorious honor of being my wife?
Erica: Yes, Jack. I will marry you, again.
Erica: All right!
Jake: A salud.
Opal: Mmm. I want a better look at that rock. Would you just take a look at that stunner, though? My.
Krystal: Whoo-ee! I need sunglasses.
Angie: Quite a welcome home gift.
Jack: Thank you very much, Doctor.
Opal: Yeah, I guess it isn't so bad, getting stuck in the woods, huh?
Erica: No, it wasn't.
Jake: You're a lucky man.
Jack: You don't have to tell me. Excuse me. Do you mind?
