Erica: Kendall, it's me. You have to call me back right away. This can't wait. I want to talk to you now. It's about Greenlee and her accident. It's important, Kendall. Hey!
Greenlee: Kendall, it's me, Greenlee. Forget Erica, call me.
Tad: You were texting while driving? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is?
Colby: Yes, everyone knows that. That's why I was the one sending the text message to Bailey. Damon was just dictating what I was typing.
Tad: Is this true?
Colby: You think I'm lying?
Liza: Colby, stop protecting him. He's not worth it.
Jesse: We're gonna check the cell phone for prints. And if yours aren't there, you are both in a world of trouble.
Colby: Whatever. I sent the message.
Liza: Colby, do not throw your life away. Tell Jesse the truth.
Colby: I am.
Liza: No, you're not.
Damon: Lay off Colby. I was texting. I -- I asked Bailey to send me a picture of Stuart. It was all my fault.
Tad: Now what?
Jesse: Well, it's not good. Reckless driving. Brooke is injured, this one's on probation.
Angie: Listen, this will have to wait. Damon needs surgery.
Adam: Hey, that -- that maniac caused Brooke's accident, and now your mother's holding his hand. Brooke should be the priority, not Damon.
Frankie: We're doing everything we can for her, Adam. Dr. Mackey's an excellent surgeon.
Adam: Yeah. Let me know of any news.
Frankie: Yeah, I will.
Annie: So you think if I just speak from the heart, everything else will fall into place?
J.R.: Yeah, yeah. That way, it's like talking to friends instead of giving a speech. It'll be a totally different vibe.
Annie: Yeah. I can -- I can do this.
J.R.: Yeah, you can. Now all you have to do is pick out a dress. Are you calling Lacey's to bring over more dresses?
Annie: Hey, Adam, it's me. J.R. has been helping me with my speech, and as long as I have you there next to me, I will be able to stand in front of Congress and tell them all about donating my bone marrow. A question for you, though. I was wondering, should we take the limo or the private jet?
Adam: Whichever you prefer. I'm not going.Annie: Adam, what do you mean, you're not coming? You -- you have to. I can't do this alone.
Adam: You'll have no choice. Something happened at the hospital.
Annie: Oh, Adam, the board will survive without you. You need a break. A few days in D.C. would be fun. You know -- you know, we never had our honeymoon. We could extend the trip a few days and go to the Caribbean or -- Adam, we need this.
Adam: Sorry. I can't go. We'll talk later.
J.R.: Dad's not going?
Annie: I don't know what's happening with us.
Colby: Any news on Brooke?
Adam: No. I never should have blasted you the way I did. Seeing you in the hospital, knowing I was helpless to protect you, I --
Colby: I'm ok, Dad. And Brooke will be, too.
Frankie: Guys, uh, we confirmed it. Brooke has a ruptured spleen. The surgeon's removing it right now.
Adam: Will she be all right?
Frankie: Well, we don't expect any complications, but there's a lot of internal bleeding.
Tad: I'm stuck. I don't know whether to wring the kid's neck or hug him. I just found him. I don't want to lose my son all over again.
Jesse: You're not gonna lose him, Tad. He's in there right now with the best that there is.
Tad: I'm not talking about the surgery.
Jesse: We don't have to do this right now.
Tad: Yeah, babe, we do, we do.
Jesse: Well, he's gonna have to check in with his probation officer --
Tad: He can't. He can't. I'm sorry, he can't.
Jesse: Tad --
Tad: It's a disaster, ok? He cannot do time.
Jesse: This is out of my hands.
Tad: What are you talking about? You're the chief --
Jesse: Tad, if -- all right, all right, you know what? I will call his probation officer, Shelton, try to feel him out. But I cannot defend this, Tad. Brooke had to be cut out of a car because Damon didn't take two seconds to pull over.
Tad: Ok. She's got to be ok. She -- she's just got to be. I mean, what am I gonna tell Jamie? That his long-lost brother killed his mom?
Jesse: You tell Jamie that his mother is gonna be just fine.
Tad: God, I hope so.
Jesse: She's got a lot of living ahead of her, Tad. You need to hold on to that, ok?
Tad: Oh, yeah. Just tell Angela to talk to me after Brooke comes out of surgery.
Jesse: Of course.
Tad: I understand. I'm sorry. Uh, but just tell me what the probation officer says, ok?
Jesse: It's tough, but you hang in there, ok?
Ryan: Hey. How is he? How's Damon?
Tad: He's not good.
Colby: I'm -- I'm gonna get some water. Do you want anything? Why are you still here?
Liza: And why are you covering up for Damon? You could have gone to jail for a guy that almost killed you and Brooke!
Colby: Mom, I had to protect him!
Liza: Protect him? Right. Your friend swerves into oncoming traffic for a text message.
Colby: No, Mom, he really misses Stuart.
Liza: Oh, honey, we all miss Stuart. That doesn't mean that you get in a car and you start driving like some crazy man endangering the lives of everyone! You know Brooke is in there fighting for her life, because he couldn't put down his phone!
Colby: He is just as upset as everyone!
Liza: Ok, all right. All right, honey, listen, let me take you home, ok?
Colby: No. I -- I'm gonna stay here. I want Damon to know he has someone in his corner when he gets out of surgery.
Liza: He's got Tad, ok? He's got Tad. You've been through enough. Besides, Brooke and Damon, they need their rest, too.
Colby: No. No, no. I'm -- I'm gonna stay here, ok?
Liza: I don't understand why you don't let me help you. Why?
Colby: Well, if you really want to help, be Damon's attorney.
Colby: Help him -- help him with whatever comes now, Mom.
Liza: Oh, honey, I have helped him. I have done everything I possibly could for him. What, he assaults a coworker, I get the complaint dropped. He -- he breaks into four homes and ConFusion, I get him probation. Perhaps if I didn't help him, Brooke wouldn't be in there fighting for her life. What is it gonna take for you to stay away from him?
Colby: Maybe I should just stay away from you!
Tad: You ok?
Liza: No. Your son almost killed my daughter. And she's not listening to me, so you better. You keep your son away from Colby, because he's gonna break her heart. Right? Like father, like son.
Tad: I know how you must feel about me, but do me a favor -- don't take it out on my son. Colby and Damon get one another, ok? He needs a friend, and everybody is entitled to somebody to talk to, right?
Liza: Huh. Yeah.
Woman over P.A.: Paging Dr. Bender. Paging Dr. Bender, please.
Ryan: Hey. Whoa, whoa, you don't look so good.
Liza: Huh. Thank you for the compliment.
Ryan: Aw, come on now. You know what I'm talking about. How is Colby?
Liza: Colby's doing fantastic as long as I'm nowhere around.
Ryan: She's a teenager, Liza. She doesn't mean half the stuff that she says, ok?
Liza: Ryan, listen, no -- no offense, really, but you're -- you're the last one I want to talk to right now. I mean, I'm still a little embarrassed about the other night and --
Ryan: Would you stop, please? Come on. First of all, I was flattered, ok? And second of all, if you ever need an ear, I'm hear to listen, always. Have you talked to Tad?
Liza: Why would I talk to Tad? I'm obviously a little bit busy with the trial of the year here.
Ryan: Are you seriously gonna go through with this? You're seriously gonna defend David Hayward? I mean, first of all, this is an open-and-shut case.
Liza: Not if I have anything to do with it, Ryan.
Ryan: Second of all, I'm a little confused, I have be honest. I mean, Hayward's finally gonna get what he deserves, and I thought you'd be doing the victory dance with the rest of us.
Liza: Well -- listen, this case is gonna cement my reputation as an attorney.
Ryan: I see.
Ryan: He held a gun on you, Liza.
Liza: I've moved on. And do I need to remind you about Greenlee? Ryan, she's only alive because David performed a miracle. Whether you want to admit that or not --
Ryan: He knew for a year that Greenlee was alive, and he chose not to say anything, and what could you possibly say to the fact that --
Liza: I'd say that I've hit my quota of arguments for the day. We're obviously not on the same page -- ok? So let's just drop it.
[Slams phone down]
Greenlee: What the hell do you think you're doing?
Erica: Kendall does not need you harping in her ear. She's trying to repair her marriage to Zach. Why don't you just let her do what she needs to do?
Greenlee: Oh, don't give me that. You want Fusion. That's why you don't want me to talk to Kendall. You don't want her to discover your Fusion takeover quest.
Erica: Oh, you are so ridiculous. I am protecting my daughter.
Greenlee: From me? Her best friend? What, is she too embarrassed to face me since she slept with Ryan? Is that it?
Erica: We'll talk when you're calmer. What are you doing?
Greenlee: Getting Kendall's phone number.
Erica: Give me my phone.
Greenlee: Not until I talk to Kendall.
Erica: Kendall doesn't even know you're alive. Do you have any idea what it would do to Kendall to hear your voice on the phone? She thinks you're dead.
Greenlee: Why didn't you tell her I was alive? We were like -- sisters. Wasn't she devastated when I died?
Erica: The timing hasn't been right.
Greenlee: The timing? That's a copout, and you know it.
Erica: No, you know nothing about what Kendall has been going through. And you've been nothing but a spoiled brat since you came back to town. There is no way I will let you hurt Kendall the way you've hurt Ryan.
Greenlee: Ryan betrayed me.
Erica: Oh, get over it, Greenlee. Just because Ryan had sex after he thought you died? He didn't betray you. And he never stopped loving you. And if you still love him, then you will find a way to work things out. That's what grown-up people do.
Greenlee: Hmm. Is that what you said to my father after you started sleeping with Jeff?
Erica: Is it no wonder that I don't want you to speak to Kendall? She doesn't need your vicious tantrums.
Greenlee: Give me her phone number.
Erica: Call information.
Greenlee: You can't keep us apart forever.
Colby: I brought you some waters in case you changed your mind.
Adam: That was very considerate of you. Thank you.
Colby: Dad, um, I'm -- I'm really sorry. If I had known it was Brooke in the other car --
Adam: Oh. You weren't driving. Dear God, please let Brooke live.
[Snaps phone shut]
Annie: I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you. I love you.
Brooke's voice: Hi. You've reached Brooke English. Please leave a message.
Annie: Damn it. You better not be together.
Brooke: Adam! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it now. Stop it. What are you doing? Put me -- stop it! Just -- all right, I am attracted to you. Are you satisfied?
Adam: I'm afraid I'm gonna lose you.
Brooke: Adam, you will never lose me.
Adam: If I could have any wish in the world that I wanted, I would wish that I could hold you in my arms like this every day for the rest of my life.
Brooke: What are you saying?
Adam: I'm not sure. I just know that I'm grateful when you're around. Is that wrong?
Brooke: Adam, you're a married man. Annie is your wife. I'm just an employee.
Tad: Hey. How's Damon?
Angie: Listen, Dr. Wyatt was able to fuse the bones together with metal hardware. His arm's been immobilized, and with some physical therapy, he should have no problems.
Tad: Well, I guess he'll be happy to know he can play the guitar again. Just hope it's not in prison.
Angie: Me, too.
Tad: Can we see him?
Angie: Yeah. He's up on the third floor. Room 315.
Tad: All right, come on little one.
Jesse: Good news?
Angie: Damon's going to be fine.
Jesse: And Brooke?
Angie: Brooke is still in surgery. She should be out soon.
Jesse: Well, it's a good thing she's a strong woman.
Angie: Yeah. You know, I had promised her that we'd go out for coffee one of these days. You know, I always thought that we had all the time in the world.
Jesse: You will, trust me. By next week, you'll both be yakking it up at B.J.'s, ok?
Angie: You're right. You're right. We'll make a night out of it. What about you? Did you get in contact with Damon's probation officer?
Jesse: Yeah. He could lose his probation. It's up to the judge.
Angie: What about the accident?
Jesse: One count of reckless driving, two counts of reckless endangerment. It all depends on whether or not the D.A. wants to prosecute.
Angie: Jesse, can't you make this better for Damon?
Jesse: Why would I? What that boy needs is a swift kick in the ass.
Tad: Hey! Look who it is, the Pine Valley Hospital get well committee.
Colby: [Chuckles] We even come bearing gifts. Look. Just in case you get crabby.
Colby: It's cute, right? But you have to name him, promise?
Damon: How's Brooke?
Frankie: Hey, Brooke came through surgery without complications.
Adam: She's ok?
Adam: I need to see her.
Liza: So Dr. Hayward is interested in an offer.
D.A.: I'm surprised you'd let him take a deal.
Liza: Uh-huh. Yeah. Well, he wants to get on with his life. You know. So, what do you say?
D.A.: If Hayward pleads guilty to all the charges, we run the sentences concurrently. He'll be out in five years with good behavior.
Liza: All right, I will run that by my client.
Greenlee: Forget it. There's no way David's going to prison.
Erica: I need to see you. It's about Greenlee.
Ryan: Erica, I'm not getting involved.
Erica: Ryan, I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't urgent.
Ryan: I would help you with absolutely anything, but not with Greenlee.
Tad: You know, when it's time, I'd like to be the first to sign your cast.
Colby: Yeah, and I can even get a tattoo artist to, you know, draw something edgy, give it some kick.
Tad: Just as long as the tattoo's on the cast. You haven't got a tattoo, do you?
[Cell phone beeps]
Colby: Oh. Sorry. [Sighs] Oh, uh, my dad's sending me home. I have a car waiting downstairs.
Tad: Get some sleep.
Colby: Yeah. You, too. Later.
Colby: Hey, I got your text message. You didn't have to come find me.
Adam: Brooke is out of surgery. She pulled through.
Colby: Oh, thank God. Ok. Well, I -- I, uh -- I got her something.
Adam: Ha ha! Well, I'll let her know you gave her this. Now, you go. You get home safe.
Colby: Daddy, aren't you gonna come home, too?
Adam: No. Brooke needs me.
Colby: But, Dad, you can't -- you need sleep. You can't stay up all night.
Adam: Well, you'd be surprised how comfortable hospital chairs can be. Ha ha.
Colby: Well, Daddy, you are on the board. Use your power and get a real bed.
Adam: I want a real bed! What do you think?
[Colby and Adam chuckle]
[Monitor beeps steadily]
Adam: Thank God I didn't lose you.
Brooke: Hmm --
J.R.: Damon was texting while he was driving, and he hit Brooke?
Colby: Well, they both made it through surgery ok. They're gonna be fine.
J.R.: You could have been killed.
Annie: Adam is at the hospital holding vigil over Saint Brooke right now?
Colby: Yes. Annie, my dad cares a lot about Brooke. He didn't want to leave her alone.
J.R.: Where are you going?
Annie: I am just gonna go show my support.
Colby: Annie, no one wants you at the hospital. Why don't you do something productive, like pluck your eyebrows? Well, she won't be here for long. [Sighs] God, you should have seen Dad at the hospital, J.R.
J.R.: What were you thinking? How could you let Damon drive your car?
Colby: Well, Tad was getting to him. Damon got all bent, so -- so he grabbed my keys.
J.R.: And so you jumped in the car?
Colby: Yes. It was my car. I had to be there.
J.R.: Well, that guy's a loser. You need to find someone else to hang out with.
Colby: You know, you don't -- you don't even know him. He -- he just needs a chance. That's why I'm gonna tutor him.
J.R.: You? A tutor?
Colby: Yes. Shut up.
J.R.: What, is he at PVU?
Colby: No. Um, he's getting his GED.
J.R.: You're dating someone who hasn't even graduated high school?
Colby: First of all, we're not dating. Secondly, Babe had to get her GED, so no throwing stones.
J.R.: No, I'm just saying -- [Sighs] Never mind. It's a good thing there's a merit trust in place for you. You need some guidance on who to date.
Colby: Thanks, Dad.
J.R.: You know, calling me Dad isn't gonna change my mind. I mean, can't I be concerned?
Colby: Ok, if you're gonna be all big brother protective over me, look, I know what I'm doing.
J.R.: Yeah. Just like Dad thought he had a handle on Annie. We all know how that worked out. Now we have a rabid dog on our hands.
Angie: How are you feeling?
Damon: Uh, fuzzy and achy.
Angie: Well, you're going to be up about in just a few days. Um, so in the meantime, you're my guest.
Damon: You mean I'm trapped here?
Angie: Listen, there is metal hardware holding your arm together. Now, we don't want to risk any displacement of the bone.
Tad: Yeah, don't worry. I'll sneak you in a couple pizzas. The food's always been lousy. You know, as the chief of staff, you might want to do something about that.
Damon: I really screwed up.
Tad: It wasn't your finest hour. Next time, please leave the cell phone in your pocket.
Damon: You think I'm going to jail?
Angie: Listen, I just want you to concentrate on getting better. That's an order.
Tad: Uh --
Woman on P.A.: Dr. Sagya, extension 198.
Tad: Angela -- I don't think I can find the words to thank you. I mean, you've been a Godsend throughout this entire thing with Damon.
Angie: Um, he left his transcript here.
Tad: Did you look at it?
Angie: Yeah, I did. It's not just the girls. Listen, there are a lot of behavioral issues and academic problems. However, his teachers realized he has a brain. I want you to look at these comments. One even said that Damon is brilliant, but is lacking motivation. I mean, he is not a bad kid.
Tad: Well, I -- I know that, but I only wish I knew what was going on inside his head.
Angie: Listen, Tad, I think that he should be evaluated by a psychologist.
Tad: You want him to get comfy with a shrink? Honey, he can't even talk to me. How is he gonna open up to a stranger?
Angie: Listen, I understand how difficult it is for a boy like Damon to want to speak to a therapist. But, sweetheart, it is the only way that we're gonna have a clearer vision of what's going on in his head.
Tad: I know you're right. It's just hard to see somebody you care about go through all of this. So it's your call. How do we get him on the shrink express?
Angie: Well, we're just gonna have to present it in the right way.
Tad: You know the good news? The kid can't lose with you on his side. I sure as hell hope Jesse appreciates you, 'cause I know I do.
Jesse: Yeah, Jesse does appreciate you -- 'cause Jesse is the luckiest man on the planet to have you as his wife.
Angie: We're not gonna be able to go to the Evergreen tonight.
Jesse: Yeah. Just don't get sucked in too deep. You also need a break, all right?
Greenlee: David's not taking that deal. I'll make sure he gets his day in court.
D.A.: I was under the impression Dr. Hayward wanted this case resolved as soon as possible.
Greenlee: You're mistaken.
D.A.: The deal's still on the table.
Liza: I think we have another strategy. Are you willing to testify?
Liza: There's no way we're gonna lose.
D.A.: Well, I'll see you in court.
Liza: Mm-hmm. The jury needs to hear how David rescued and nurtured you back to health.
Greenlee: I'll make sure they hear every single detail, right down to how David spoon-fed me breakfast in bed when I woke up.
Liza: First we got to convince him to go to court, and he's pretty adamant about you not even being in the courtroom, let alone taking the witness stand.
Greenlee: Like that would stop me. David will see reason. He has no choice.
Liza: Well, I don't know who's more stubborn, you or David.
Greenlee: That's why we're so perfect together.
Brooke: Where am I?
Adam: In a hospital. Huh. Do you remember the car crash? Huh? It would take more than a fender bender to keep somebody like you down. Um, oh, I want you to be quiet now. You're fresh out of surgery. I want you to start feeling better. You're gonna be sore.
Adam: Ah. Yeah. There we go. Water.
Adam: Yeah. Colby sent you this. She was worried about you. We were all worried about you. [Chuckles] I -- I don't know how -- I never should have let you leave that park.
Brooke: Not me. The other car?
Adam: All right, just -- just be calm, be quiet. Give yourself time to recuperate.
Brooke: I heard things -- weren't there.
Adam: Well, I, uh, meant everything I said and everything I didn't say.
Annie: Why didn't you tell me? Brooke, you poor thing. Is there anything I can do?
Adam: Oh, it's -- um -- here.
Annie: It's a miracle that she survived. The jaws of life. I -- can't even imagine. It must have been horrible.
Adam: Oh, there's nothing she can't handle.
Annie: Hmm. Yeah. Well, we should really be getting you home, huh. We'll go visit Brooke tomorrow.
Adam: Well, I can't abandon Brooke.
Annie: No. No, of course not. Of course not. Not after what she's been through. We can't leave Brooke.
Adam: Yes, yeah.
Annie: I'll go get us some coffee.
Adam: Well, nonsense, nonsense. Congressman Wilton awaits.
Annie: Well, Brooke will be out of the hospital by the time we have to leave.
Adam: You must have a million things to do. Just don't worry about me. I'll be fine.
Annie: My place is with my husband. I'm sure even Brooke would agree with that, Adam.
Adam: You'll be much more helpful if you can come up with a compelling case for bone marrow donations. Yeah, I'll call when I can come home.
Erica: Ryan? Ryan -- ok, we have a problem.
Ryan: And you wasted a trip. I told you, Erica, I'm not getting involved.
Erica: You are involved. You're still in love with Greenlee.
Ryan: And she doesn't want me in her life.
Erica: Well, this is more than just Greenlee. This also affects Kendall. Ryan, you can't possibly turn your back on my a daughter, not now when she needs you most. She's the mother of your child.
Ryan: What are you talking about?
Erica: Greenlee has been digging around about the night of her accident.
Ryan: How did that happen?
Erica: She's bound and determined to testify at David's trial, and when she started asking questions, I don't know, everyone's tried to discourage her from reliving that horrible night.
Ryan: And now she's realized there's more to that horrible night than she's been told, and she won't stop until she figures out that Kendall was driving the car that ran her off the road.
Erica: We have to stop her.
Ryan: No. Greenlee deserves to hear the truth.
Greenlee: This is a career maker if you win, so we need to work together to get David off. Are you with me?
Liza: I better not be disappointed. Ok, so what is the plan to get David to go to trial?
Greenlee: Tell him the D.A. wouldn't make a deal.
Liza: That's completely unethical.
Greenlee: Ha! We're not gonna let a petty thing like ethics stop us from saving a man from prison, are we? All right, I'll tell David it was all my fault if he ever finds out. Next?
Liza: You are absolutely taking the witness stand, no matter what. That's the only way that the jury is gonna render a not guilty verdict.'
Greenlee: Not a problem. What else do I need to do?
Liza: Well, when you tell the jury just how David saved your life, you need to come off completely sympathetic, like you are somebody that needed to be rescued.
Greenlee: I was half dead. I lost a year in a coma. Obviously I couldn't help myself.
Liza: Yeah, and you have to tone down that attitude. Listen, we're trying to paint David as the strong hero, not you.
Greenlee: Ok. For David, I'll even shop at frumpy's good girl boutique.
Liza: Thank you.
Greenlee: How much has David confided in you?
Liza: I'm not sure what you mean.
Greenlee: David doesn't want me to testify. You do. You must have asked why he objected.
Liza: Well, you must have asked him why, as well.
Greenlee: Yeah, but now I'm putting the question to you. What is David trying to protect me from?
Annie: Adam married me. He promised to love, honor, and cherish me as long as we both shall live. You know what he's busy doing right now? Cherishing Brooke English!
J.R.: Brooke doesn't have any more family in Pine Valley. He's being a good friend. That's it.
Annie: Maybe it's time for Brooke to go back to that family and leave my husband alone.
J.R.: Don't you think you're overreacting? The woman just came out of surgery from a bad car crash.
Annie: Ok, if the next words out of your mouth are, "She's a survivor," I'm gonna be ill.
J.R.: All right, Annie, let's be real about this. You're just upset because my dad doesn't want to go with you to D.C.
Annie: I was gonna walk the halls of Congress with Adam on my arm. People were gonna say, "Wow! Wow, look at that! It's Mrs. Adam Chandler." But now I am just gonna be another nobody.
J.R.: You'll still be Mrs. Adam Chandler. You'll just be on my arm instead of my dad's.
J.R.: Really. We're in this together.
Annie: Yeah, ok! You don't know how much that means to me. I should -- I still haven't figured out what I'm gonna wear, so --
Adam: Good night.
Brooke: Good night
Angie: You think Damon's working me?
Jesse: Well, I know he can't get anything past you, but it doesn't mean he won't try.
Angie: Jesse, this kid is in trouble.
Jesse: Well, baby, this kid is trouble. Tad really needs to smack some sense into his thick-ass head.
Angie: Like someone did for you?
Jesse: Don't make comparisons to try to soften me up, all right?
Angie: Listen, did I tell you about this young, agitated, completely out-of-control boy that we treated last week? Damon was able to connect with him. He did what trained professionals couldn't.
Jesse: I'm not saying that the kid is unreachable. I'm just saying you shouldn't take on more than you need to handle right now.
Angie: I won't.
Jesse: Good. I'll see you at home. Come here.
Angie: Ha ha!
Jesse: You love that.
Tad: Oh, jeez.
Angie: I'm sorry.
Tad: Hey, baby.
Tad: You know what I keep thinking about? All the moments that I missed. Those first steps, his first dance, his first car.
Tad: How on earth did he get here?
Angie: I don't know, but we'll find out.
Tad: He's gonna make it through this.
Angie: Count on it.
Ryan: Ok, Greenlee deserves to hear the truth.
Erica: Even if Kendall and Zach end up in prison?
Ryan: Nobody was gunning for Greenlee that night. It was an accident.
Erica: I know, but Zach covered it up, so that looks like they were hiding something, and Greenlee will believe it was intentional.
Ryan: Why would Kendall intentionally run Greenlee off the road?
Erica: She wouldn't. But Greenlee just always jumps to the worst possible conclusions, and Greenlee has been shouting betrayal ever since she came back to town. Greenlee's out for revenge. Ryan, I cannot let her go after my daughter.
Ryan: Well, and you can't keep it a secret forever, Erica. I mean, when Greenlee came back, she wasn't ready to hear this, but she's ready now.
Erica: Ryan, you cannot tell Greenlee.
Ryan: You're right, I can't. It's not my place. I won't. Greenlee needs to hear it from Kendall.
Greenlee: Tell me what David is hiding from me.
Liza: Uh, this is a conversation you should be having with your husband, not his lawyer.
Greenlee: No, I don't need protection, I need answers.
Liza: Well, I can't break client/attorney privilege.
Greenlee: So you know what everyone is keeping secret from me. Don't give me that privilege excuse. We've already established ethics take a back seat in this situation. If it's a bombshell that could throw me on the witness stand, don't you want to prepare me?
Liza: All right, that night, you didn't just skid off the road. There was another driver involved.
