Tad: It's supposed to be the best burgers in town.
Tad: You're not hungry?
J.R.: I'm not sure I can keep it down.
Tad: That's rough, kid. Now let me suggest you just try a couple bites. Have a French fry.
Tad: Hey, honey.
Angie: This is a nice surprise.
Tad: Yeah, we thought we were trying to get a little chow.
Angie: Well, that's a good idea. But it helps if you actually eat what you've ordered.
J.R.: It's all right. Tad knows. In fact, he was with me when I got the port installed.
Angie: J.R., I am so glad that you're not doing this on your own.
Tad: Oh, he is stuck with me every step of the way, like it or not.
J.R.: I like.
Angie: You had your first round of chemo this morning?
J.R.: Ugh -- oh, yeah.
Tad: Maybe you could do me a favor. Would you tell him to eat? Maybe he'll listen if it comes from a doctor.
Angie: Look, I know you don't feel like it, but you really do need to eat. And I'm going to leave you with that, ok? Because I have to go and join my daughter-in-law. Let me know if you need anything.
Tad: Love you, baby.
Angie: Love you, too, guys. Hey.
Randi: Sorry I'm late.
Angie: It's ok.
Randi: Where are Jesse and Frankie?
Angie: That is a good question.
Madison: I hope you're ready to start discussing how you're going to help me.
Frankie: I didn't come here for that.
Madison: Oh, really? Then why are you here?
Frankie: I'm here because I have nowhere else to go.
Jesse: You're coming with me.
Jesse: Back to your wife.
Frankie: Get your hands off me.
Jesse: Did you forget that we have plans for dinner? Your wife and your mother are waiting for us.
Madison: Frankie obviously has other plans tonight.
Jesse: What --
Frankie: Hey, hey, hey. Let me handle this. Mind your business. Because this is between you and me.
Nurse: This room is free, Doctor.
David: Page the pediatrician on call, please. Go ahead.
Jake: What happened with Trevor?
David: My son's health is none of your concern.
Amanda: David, stop.
David: Tend to your patients, Doctor. Stay away from my son.
Zach: Unconditional love -- I understand that, you know. You would do anything for Emma, wouldn't you?
Annie: I already have.
Zach: You make it sound like that's a bad thing.
Annie: It was.
Jesse: I know you and Randi are having a hard time.
Frankie: Because she tells you everything? Did she happen to mention that I stopped by Fusion? I even brought her flowers, but that wasn't good enough for her.
Jesse: Well, you know what? Hanging out with this broke down mess over here is not going to make things any better.
Frankie: I tried to talk to Randi. I did. I tried to help her.
Jesse: She's -- Randi's having a hard time right now.
Frankie: We're all having a hard time right now.
Jesse: This is your answer? We need to go.
Frankie: Hey, I'm not going anywhere. I ain't even hungry.
Jesse: You don't need to be hungry, you need to be with your wife.
Frankie: Randi'll be just fine without me. She didn't need me in the hotel room in D.C., she didn't need me when the baby was taken away, so she won't need me to get through dinner. Come on.
Jesse: Look at you. You hear yourself? You need to quit.
Jesse: Don't start feeling sorry for yourself. You need to work at this, son!
Frankie: Every time I work at it, I make it worse -- hurting Randi even more. So I'm going to give her some space. Oh, perfect. Ow.
[Jesse grabs Frankie's arm]
Jesse: You're making a mistake.
Frankie: I'm going to give Randi what she needs. 'Cause I got what I need. Everybody's happy.
Singer: Everybody loves to win
Tad: Look, I know Dr. Kahn said this is normal, and that it sucks, but you really do have to try to eat something. Little a needs his dad big and strong.
J.R.: And I'm down for that. But keeping this food down? That's another story.
Tad: Hang on. We'll work on it. Hey, Jake. What's up.
Jake: I'll tell you what the hell is going on. Hayward is with my wife and her son.
Tad: Well, technically, it's also his kid.
Jake: Yeah, but they're at the hospital. There's something wrong with Trevor, and he won't let me near Amanda or the baby, so I --
Tad: Jake, listen to me, all right? And I don't want to hear anything about fists or choking or eye gouging. You don't touch Hayward, you understand?
Jake: I should have taken him out when I had the chance.
Tad: Well, impulses got us here, so let's just try to play this one smart.
Jake: You should have seen the look on his face. It was priceless.
Tad: I mean it, Jake. Don't touch Hayward. I'm on my way.
J.R.: What was that all about?
Tad: Probably better if I explain in the car. Do you mind if I stop by the hospital on the way home?
J.R.: I'm going to stay. Try and choke down some of this food.
Tad: That's my boy. I'm proud of you. I'll check on you later?
Scott: May I?
J.R.: Be my guest. Aren't you supposed to be planning the bachelor's party?
Scott: I'm sorry that your dad chose me to be best man. You know, I finally get it -- the alcohol thing. I tell you, man, living in that house would drive anyone to drink.
J.R.: For the last time, Scott, I'm not drinking.
Scott: Then why do you look like hell?
Zach: She's quite the artist.
Annie: When I first came to Pine Valley, all I -- all I wanted to do is protect Emma from my horrible ex.
Zach: That's a tough thing to do.
Annie: But I think that was the last time I put her first. Then it became all about me. I mean, I used my own daughter to hold onto Ryan, to keep him from Greenlee. I mean, what kind of a sick mother does that?
Zach: Well, the kind that wants a better life for her daughter. Hey, our child -- it wasn't that different. Psychopath in the house, hurting people, twisting people, wanting control.
Annie: Your father.
Zach: Your brother. So I get it. You and Ryan -- you wanted some stability for you, Emma.
Annie: Yeah, so much for stability. I mean, I really used to think that Emma was what kept me grounded, kept me sane. I really, really did. But then I realized I became so obsessed with holding onto her that that's inevitably what threw me over the edge. And the night Stuart was shot, I almost took her with me.
Frankie: How about you and I give the blackjack another go around? What do you say?
Madison: Well, I'm up for it.
Madison: You know, you stay to play, you have a whole lot more to lose.
Frankie: Yeah -- you couldn't keep your husband at home, so excuse me if I pass over the marriage tip.
Madison: Yeah. It was hell knowing that Henry would rather be with anyone but me. I know exactly how your wife is feeling right about now.
Frankie: Oh, so, like, about a half an hour ago, you're trying to blackmail me. Now you're trying to coach me on my marriage? What are you doing?
Madison: All I'm saying is that maybe if my husband had been home a few more nights, our marriage might not have ended the way that it did.
Randi: When Frankie didn't come home, I didn't know what to do. He -- he wouldn't answer his cell, and he still won't.
Angie: Maybe he just wants to give you some time.
Randi: He doesn't want to be anywhere near me.
Angie: Randi, that doesn't mean that he doesn't love you. You and Frankie lost a baby. He was hurt in Iraq.
Randi: Yeah. And I killed somebody. That changes the "for better or worse" part, right? I used to be able to tell Frankie anything, and he would understand. But since Henry died --
Angie: Randi, Frankie is trying.
Randi: I know. But he wasn't in that room with me that night.
Randi: He doesn't know how freaked out I was. Angie, Jesse told me it was going to be ok. There was a -- a dead man laying there, a man that I killed. And Jesse was the one who convinced me everything was going to be fine, and I believed him.
Angie: Well, that's who Jesse is. Ever since we were kids running off to a justice of the peace, he's always had that convincing way that everything would be ok.
Randi: Yeah, well, you're lucky. Not everyone gets to be that happy.
Jake: Hey. Hey. What -- what's going on? Is he all right?
Amanda: He's fine. I just couldn't leave him. You know.
Jake: Why'd you come to the hospital then?
Amanda: David insisted on the full examination.
David: My son developed a high fever after being dumped in an alley, exposed to the elements, cared for by a woman who knows nothing about babies. You bet your ass I wanted a full examination, to make sure my son survives your incredibly stupid plan.
Jake: How are you? You all right? Do you need anything? Anything at all?
Amanda: I'm ok.
David: Why don't you go back to work, Doctor?
Jake: I'm talking to my wife, ok? My -- my wife.
David: Yeah, well, marriages end all the time. But a mother and child -- now, that's a bond that lasts forever. We should really get our son home.
Amanda: If I could just have a few minutes with Jake --
David: We really don't have a few minutes, Amanda. It's almost time for his next feeding. Shall we? Come on.
Amanda: I love you.
[Jake throws some food trays to the floor]
Tad: That's enough. Don't give him the satisfaction.
J.R.: Did Dad send you over here to smell my breath? To catch me with a bottle of booze so he can snatch lLttle A?
Scott: I'm not Adam's spy.
J.R.: I mean, the best man must be a full-time job, between holding onto the rings, the breath mints, keeping the car outside just in case he realizes he's making a mistake of a lifetime.
Scott: They really do seem to care about each other.
J.R.: Well, then that's why you got the prize, Scott. My dad knows you're not going to try to talk him out of marrying Annie. Part of the best man's duties -- shut up about the bride. So, you going to continue living with the newlyweds?
Scott: You know, it's weird enough as it is.
J.R.: That's because you want to sleep with her.
Scott: I don't want --
J.R.: I can smell it from here. Annie's got a rocking body. She knows how to move it, and she wears as little as possible as much as possible. You're screwed.
Scott: I don't want to sleep with Annie.
J.R.: Then why did you kiss her?
J.R.: You're screwed. Thank you. Some advice? Get Annie out of your mind. Otherwise, you're going to have a hell of a time keeping her out of your bed.
Annie: I cut the power. I was going to grab Emma and run. That's all the plan that I had. I just knew if I could get her out of this house, Emma would be mine.
Zach: So all the chaos that night -- perfect time for you to get out. Why didn't you?
Annie: We got separated. Go back upstairs, ok, sweetheart? And wait for me there.
Emma: I'm scared.
Annie: I know, sweetie, but everything's going to be fine. Do as I say. Everything will be ok. Go, go.
[Emma runs upstairs]
Zach: Annie -- what do you mean, you got separated?
Annie: Adam. I found Adam. He was alone and confused, so I realized what I wanted wasn't as important as helping him. I mean, you know all about that, right? Putting others' needs ahead of yours. That is why you're here, right? How is Kendall?
Zach: I want my kids to have the best life possible. And Spike, Emma, with Ryan -- that's not what they need.
Annie: Ryan, you know -- he makes all this noise about being the best father in the world. He only took these children from us for one reason -- to punish us. And he's getting away with it.
Zach: Well, don't worry about it. Because before long, everyone's going to be right where they need to be.
Jesse: Two of the most beautiful women in the joint.
Randi: Where is he?
Jesse: I couldn't find him. I -- I left messages, so he'll catch up later, ok? The shrimp looks good. Popcorn shrimp. What you going to have?
Angie: The salmon's always good.
Jesse: Salmon is always good. What about you? You want the salmon?
Jesse: Good, so -- all right. Busted. I'm sorry. You know, I promised not to lie anymore, and here I am just -- lying. I did see Frankie -- at the casino with that Madison North.
Angie: Wait -- well, why does she insist on sniffing around Frankie?
Jesse: I --
Angie: The woman needs to back off.
Jesse: I --
Randi: Yeah, well, maybe Frankie doesn't want her to back off.
Angie: All she is doing is blowing up his life.
Jesse: Well, Franklin is doing a pretty damn good job of that all on his own.
Angie: You know what? Not if I have anything to say about it. Let's go.
Jesse: Wait, wait, wait. Angela, Angela --
Angie: Look, this time, I am going to put that woman in her place, and she is going to stay there.
Jake: I know this guy hates the Martins, right? He just can't stand you. He hates me. And he's not going to back off until he takes everything that I love, and that's going to -- that's going to be my wife. You watch.
Tad: So we fight him. The same way we always have, but you don't do it here. Especially not here. He's your boss.
Jake: So what? I should punch a little clock like a happy employee for the guy that's going to steal my wife? No, thank you. And the baby -- I was going to adopt Trevor, you know that?
Tad: See, don't you understand? That's exactly what you have to do. You have to be the perfect employee. 'Cause he'd love nothing more right now than to watch you freak out. You give him the slightest excuse, the first thing he's going to do is fire you.
Jake: So what? There's other hospitals. You think I care? I've only got one wife, she's only got one child. I want her home with me. Is that asking too much? I don't want to lose her to this -- this --
Tad: You're not going to lose anybody.
Jake: What is the matter with you? Are you on crack or something? You lost Dixie to him, didn't you? Your wife. You lost Kathy for years because of him. Then you lost your next wife. I'm not doing it your way. I'm going to do it my way. I'm going to do whatever I have to do to make sure this doesn't happen to me.
Tad: Ok. You go ahead. You do whatever you have to, but remember one thing. He's got the power right now, not you. All he's got to do is walk back into a court, and she's going to lose that baby.
Jake: So I should just let her live there? Let her live there, right? Let him raise the baby that I was going to adopt with my wife? I should just let him do that?
Tad: We'll make it right. Ok? We'll make it right. We'll get Amanda and the baby back. But for now, you've got to stay away from Hayward, you understand?
Jake: Why, 'cause I got choices?
David: Can I get you anything? Water, tea?
Amanda: I'm fine.
David: How about some dinner? You really haven't eaten much today.
Amanda: I -- I'm fine.
David: Well, you look tired. Why don't you go get some rest? I'll take the baby. Amanda, he's my child. We're family.
Amanda: You know, he's been really fussy all day. I just don't want to upset him.
David: I will be careful, ok?
Amanda: Maybe later.
David: Amanda, I have dreamed about this. Holding my baby. Talking to him, looking in his eyes, and telling him how much I love him. Don't you think it's time that our son got to know his father?
[Amanda hands the baby over to David]
David: Come here, buddy. Hey, you. Hey. It's me. Your father, that's right. Oops. [David chuckles]
Jake: Hey, Williams.
Dr. Williams: Hey.
Jake: How did -- how did it go with Trevor?
Dr. Williams: Trevor?
Jake: The baby that Hayward brought in.
Dr. Williams: Oh, you mean David, Junior?
Jake: "David Junior"?
Dr. Williams: Are you all right?
Jake: Yeah, how did it go? How -- how is the baby?
Dr. Williams: Great. Hayward couldn't be prouder. I think he's already buying the kid a new pair of scrubs.
J.R.: Hey. Thanks for coming.
Marissa: I'm glad you called. Is everything ok? You look --
J.R.: I know. I look like hell. I'm actually worried about you, though. This craziness with the baby -- it -- Tad just tore out of here because of some new drama. And you in the middle -- I'm just concerned, that's all.
Marissa: Yeah, it's definitely crazy. Crazy, crazy. Oh -- I mean, he just -- he made such a big deal about wanting to be a father to me, and now, I -- I don't know. It's like I -- I barely seem to exist.
J.R.: Why don't you just move out?
Marissa: I can't. I promised I'd be there for Amanda.
J.R.: You moved in for David, you stayed for Amanda. Krystal asks you to do something, you drop everything. You always find time for me and Little Adam. You ever notice you're so busy doing things for everyone else, you kind of forget to do things for yourself?
Marissa: This is for me.
J.R.: It's ok to be a little selfish.
Marissa: Oh, you know what? I was selfish my entire life. I was the center of my parents' world. Anything I wanted. I -- I just didn't think there was any other way to live. But now, here I am. I have this whole new family, and I don't want to be that person anymore. I want to give back. I don't -- I don't know -- I guess it's a way to honor my parents' memory.
J.R.: That's great. But it doesn't mean you can't have fun. I was thinking, cabin on a lake, walks in the woods, counting stars, naps in a hammock.
J.R.: Yeah, we'd have the place all to ourselves. What do you say?
Marissa: OH. Hello?
Jake: Hey, it's -- it's Jake Martin. Can I see you down at the hospital as soon as possible?
Marissa: I'm kind of in the middle of something.
Jake: Well, it's about the baby. And your father's out of control, and I just -- I really -- I really need your help, ok?
Marissa: Ok. I'll be right there.
Marissa: I'm sorry, I -- I have to go.
J.R.: The baby?
J.R.: And the lake?
Marissa: Rain check?
[Scott lies in bed thinking about Annie]
J.R.'s voice: If you don't get Annie out of your mind, you're going to have a hell of a time keeping her out of your bed.
[Scott sighs as he walks downstairs in his shorts]
Scott: Hey. What's wrong?
[Annie sobs on Scott's shoulder]
Frankie: Damn it.
Madison: Ok, anyone that's unlucky in cards has got to be lucky in love. Run home to your wife and save that nickel you got in your pocket.
Frankie: I got more than a nickel in my pocket.
Madison: Ok, but you might not have a wife for very much longer. Frankie, you have somebody who loves you. Don't throw that away just because you got your feelings hurt. Trust me, you don't want to be alone. You don't want to be me. Do you love her?
Frankie: Mad, crazy, wicked, rest of my life love.
Madison: Then go and be with her.
Frankie: Do you know what? You're right. That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to buy her more flowers -- better flowers -- kiss her, and tell her I love her, because I do.
Frankie: Yeah, that's what...
[Frankie almost falls off his stool]
Madison: Oh, oh, oh. Ok -- uh -- better idea. Why don't you sleep on it and tell her all about that tomorrow?
Frankie: You know what? You're right again. Great idea. So -- so -- um --
Madison: Ok. Apparently, you need some support now. All right.
Frankie: All right. You know, and we don't even like each other.
Madison: No, we don't.
[Frankie laughs as he and Madison get in the elevator]
Angie: That --
Randi: No! Let him go.
Kendall: Mom's still at the studio.
Zach: And Ian is --
Kendall: He's sleeping.
Zach: Yeah. I went to see Emma.
Kendall: You talked to her?
Zach: She was drawing a picture of a prison. She was asking about you, making sure that you were ok.
Kendall: Poor thing. To -- to have seen her mother kill Stuart and then have to lie about it -- it's clearly eating away at her.
Zach: Well, we're going to put an end to that lie very quickly.
Kendall: So she didn't admit that she lied?
Zach: Ryan came in. And that was that. But before he did, Emma gave me some pictures, some drawings to give to Annie. So I did. I took them over there, and Annie looked at them, and she was hit. Think they worked to our advantage, and I talked to her about that night. And she told me that she and Emma got separated.
Kendall: What else did she say?
Zach: Not much, but I got to tell you, I know there's something. For the first time, I see that there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Kendall: Oh, this is so good.
[Kendall and Zach kiss]
Kendall: All right, ok. How long is this going to go on, Zach? Is this going to go on forever?
Kendall: I can't take back sleeping with Ryan any more than you can forgive me. So where does that leave us? We can't go back, but clearly, we can't go forward, so please, you tell me -- what happens next? What happens when Annie goes to prison and I walk out a free woman? Do I get more of this? You not wanting to touch me? You doing that polite, noble thing you do and leaving the room? For how long, Zach? What, years, decades? I'm sorry, but this is not my idea of freedom. I won't be free until you stop punishing me.
Annie: And this one was for Mother's Day. That's good, isn't it? Oh, and Easter. This one was for Easter. Emma loves Easter egg hunts. I used to be able to just put jellybeans all over the living room, and she was happy with that. That was enough.
Annie: God, I'm -- I'm missing so much of her life right now. I'm missing so many moments.
Annie: It's like, I've done horrible things, so I get what I deserve, but I feel like Emma's the one suffering in all of this now. I mean, growing up without her mother, not being able to see me, not being able to talk to me. I mean, nothing.
Scott: My mom died when I was about Emma's age, so I got a pretty good idea of what it's like to have your mom taken away. I didn't get it, either. I just knew that I loved her, and I knew that I would have given anything to sit in her lap and have her tell me how much she loved me. Emma's lucky. She will get to see you again. There will be more jellybean hunts in the living room.
Annie: Yeah, if that ever happens. Parents are supposed to kiss away the tears, not cause them. Maybe Ryan's right. Maybe I really don't deserve to be a mother.
Scott: No. No, you made mistakes. Emma doesn't care. You are her mother, and she loves you, whether you think you deserve it, or not.
Angie: Randi, what is wrong with you? You don't watch your husband go to a hotel room with another woman, you follow them. You lay holy hell into them, and you stop him from doing something that he'll regret forever.
Randi: It's my fault. All Frankie ever did was love me. All he ever did was try and help, and I shut him out.
Angie: So this is your punishment? Letting your husband sleep with another woman? This ain't how it works. Now, you said that you wanted a marriage like Jesse's and mine. Did you mean that?
Angie: Well, you don't get it like this. You want your marriage to work, it is not all moonbeams, luck, "meant to be." It is hard work. And sometimes, you have to fight like hell. And this is one of those times. You still love Frankie, don't you?
Randi: Of course.
Angie: Then you fight for him.
Randi: It's too late. I've already lost him.
Angie: Randi --
Frankie: I was her knight in shining armor, you know that?
Madison: That's for fairy tales.
Frankie: No, really. I saved Randi. Rescued her. The way she used to look at me, I was the hero. Her hero. Whatever she needed, whenever she needed it, I swore that I would be there. I took an oath, but where was I when she needed me the most? I was nowhere to be found. But my dad -- he swoops in and he does a great job, and now he's the hero. Where does that leave me? Hmm.
Madison: Drunk. Drink up.
[Frankie knocks a glass of water into Madison's lap]
Jake: I just want to know what's going on. I don't think that's a lot to ask. What's going on in the house? What's going on with your father? What's going on with my wife and the baby? I -- I just -- I --
Marissa: Ok. Ok, there's not much to tell. Social Services dropped off the baby, and Amanda hasn't let him out of her sight. She's -- she won't even let David hold him.
Jake: He's calling him "David, Junior." I don't get that. How is Amanda ok with that?
Marissa: All right, you think she has a choice? Look, all I know is that Amanda's hardly said a word to David. She's just totally focused on the baby.
Jake: Right, and we all know how David hates to be ignored.
Marissa: I can't believe that I'm saying this, but David's totally mellow. It's like he's finally gotten what he's always wanted.
Marissa: A family.
Jake: He's got my wife and the child I tried to protect from him.
Marissa: I'm just telling you what I see. David's happy.
Jake: Mm-hmm. Your father's going to hell.
David: So perfect. Ooh. My son. Hey. Oh. You know, I missed -- I missed your first breath. Your first smile. But I promise you, I will be there for your first steps, and your first day at school -- to hear about your first kiss. How about that, huh?
David: Oh. I have waited for you my whole life. And I will be there, I promise, every day for the rest of my life. To love you, to protect you, and raise you up to be a better man than I will ever be. I promise you that.
[David kisses the baby while Amanda watches]
[Knock on door]
Angie: I want to talk to Frankie.
Madison: Oh, not a good time, sorry.
Angie: I want to see my son.
Madison: You might see a little bit more of him than you wanted to. He's in bed, and I was just about to join him.
[Madison gasps as Angie slaps her]
[Music plays at ConFusion]
Jesse: Find him?
Jesse: Doesn't look like you two made it to the kiss and make up part.
Randi: Well, that's because he found someone else to do the kissing part with.
Jesse: He's an idiot.
Randi: No. It's my fault. He tried to make things right, and I just pushed him away every single time. Why would he come back?
Jesse: Because he loves you.
Jesse: So what are you going to do?
Randi: I don't know.
Jesse: Need a ride home?
Randi: No. I'll find my way back.
David: Everything all right?
Amanda: He went right to sleep.
David: Great. But I meant is everything all right with the nursery?
Amanda: Well, it's the best of everything, so nothing to complain about.
David: And how about your room? You need anything?
Amanda: No, it's great.
David: I want you to be comfortable, Amanda. I know that's not going to be easy given the way I behaved. But to learn that Jake had been lying to me all that time about my son --
Amanda: Jake was only doing what I wanted him to.
David: Pulling a gun was clearly all Jake. He really loves you.
Amanda: I really love him.
David: It's good to have love in your life.
Amanda: Is that what this is? Forcing me to stay here with the baby...someone to love?
David: I'm doing this because I believe our son deserves to have both his parents in his life. And I'm hoping someday, you'll agree.
[Jake watches through a window and seethes as David offers Amanda a drink]
[Knock on door]
Marissa: Hey. I'm ready to do something for me, if it's not too late.
Annie: I felt alone my entire life until Emma. Having her was the best thing that ever happened to me. I mean, laughing with her, or watching her sleep -- it's like this feeling of true, pure, absolute love. I've never felt anything like that before in my life.
Scott: Yeah, I felt that way with my dad. You know, we would just fish for hours, or I would watch him paint. We'd never say a word, but I never felt so loved. I never loved anyone so much. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever have that connection with anyone again.
Annie: You will.
[Scott and Annie kiss passionately]
Kendall: Tell me, Zach, please. I want to know. Where -- where do we stand? Where do we go from here? You get me freed, and then what? What good is freeing me from one prison if you're just going to lock me up in another?
Zach: This is your home.
Kendall: Yeah, my home. Well, it may not have bars, but it'll be just as lonely. I'm not sure I can live like that. I'm not sure I want to.
