Scott: You wanted to see me?
Adam: Uh, yes. Yes.
Scott: What's with the glasses?
Adam: Oh, just a little eye irritation. It's all nothing to worry about.
Scott: Yeah. Listen. If this is about Slater, I told you, I went over the casino's books. Everything about the loan looks legit.
Adam: No. This isn't about business. As you know, Annie and I are getting married. I'd like you to be my best man.
Kendall: Adam and Annie are actually getting married.
Zach: Yeah, and he's gonna spend the rest of his life with the woman that killed his brother.
Kendall: I know. It's crazy. So, you think you'll bring a date?
Zach: It's a big day for Annie. She's gonna be nice and relaxed.
Kendall: Right, and just let it slip in her vows that she killed Stuart?
Zach: Not in the vows. I don't know. Sometime. What?
Kendall: I'm just kind of happy. You have no idea how good this feels, Zach. I'm innocent. I didn't kill Stuart, and I am very clear of that right now. You've known all along. You had more faith in me than I did.
Zach: You're my wife. This one, she's focused on the wedding. I'll move in, nail her to the wall.
Zach: Leave it to me.
Erica: You were right, Ryan. Zach is acting irrationally. I mean, his behavior gets more bizarre every time I see him.
Ryan: Have you figured out what's going on?
Erica: Not yet, but you know me. I will. I will get to the bottom of it.
Zach: What do you want to know?
Tad: No. No way in hell does Amanda sign her son over to that man. I'm sorry.
Liza: It's either that or jail. You want your brother to land in a cell?
Marissa: I'm with Liza. Besides, I'll be at Wildwind. I can keep an eye on David and the baby.
Krystal: Hey, as fascinating as all your opinions are, this decision is Amanda's and Jake's. Where the heck are they?
Liza: If we don't find them, and they don't agree to this deal, we got to start working on another one.
Tad: Might be too late. What if they went to David with a deal of their own?
Amanda: Jake, put the gun down.
Jake: He doesn't get to do this to you. You deserve to be with your son.
Amanda: I will be because I changed my mind. I'll do it. I'll move in with you.
Jake: You can't do that.
Amanda: I'll be fine, Jake.
Jake: What, here with him?
David: It's not your call.
Jake: Shut up, Dave. He doesn't want a compromise. He wants to control us, and he wants to do it through the baby. Well, no more, Dave. One bullet, and it's done.
Erica: Zach, I didn't see you there.
Zach: Who's on the phone?
Erica: Uh, it was Ryan. We're very concerned about you.
Liza: Now look. Maybe Jake and Amanda went for a drive to just, you know, clear their head.
Tad: Jake's worst nightmare just came true. He's not out for a drive in the country.
Marissa: I got to go do something.
Krystal: Marissa, wait. Wait. You think Jake and Amanda went to David's? To do what exactly?
Tad: Well, not something stupid, I hope.
Liza: Jake said that he wouldn't rest until Amanda and Trevor were reunited and that he would rather rot in prison forever than make a bargain with David.
Tad: After what he's been through, I'd say he's serious about it.
Krystal: What does that mean?
Tad: Jake went to kill David.
Amanda: Don't do it, Jake. I need you. Our son needs you. You're not going to prison.
Jake: Yes, and you deserve a life with your son. With him around, that's impossible.
Amanda: If I move in with David --
Jake: That is not an option, not an option.
David: Why don't you just listen to your wife? She obviously wants to be here with the father of her son, not some superhero wannabe who can't even do that well.
Jake: Is this what you want? You want to be here with this?
Amanda: It won't be forever.
Jake: That's right because it ends right now.
Amanda: Jake, we are a team. Nothing he says or does can change that.
Jake: That's right. We are. We are a team. We are a team.
Amanda: Look. Right now, I need you to trust me. I need you to trust that I know what I'm doing, ok? If I stay here, I'll be with my son, and you'll be free.
Jake: Now, you say that. No. Nobody will be free -- are you crazy? -- Not me, not you, anybody, not with him. He'll always be in the middle of our life, always.
Amanda: No. I will be under his roof -- that's all -- so I can be a mother to our son. Nothing else changes. Ok. I'm still your wife. We are still together. If you pull that trigger, you lose everything. David wins.
David: Considering the hell you put me through making me believe my son was dead, that's a pretty sweet deal, don't you think? All you have to do is walk away.
Jake: Or blow your brains out.
Amanda: Jake, you don't need that gun to protect me. Your love protects me, whether I'm in this room or halfway around the world, because I feel you with me, making me strong, making me have faith everything is gonna be ok, and it is gonna be ok, because I feel that in my heart, and let's just let David think that he has all the power, ok, because we know better. He has nothing. Love is the real power, and he has none of that. Jake, he can't beat us. We've already won.
Marissa: What's going on?
David: Jake is going home with Amanda to help her pack.
Scott: I'm flattered, Uncle Adam. I am, but I can't be your best man. It wouldn't be appropriate.
Adam: Well, if Stuart were here, I'd ask him. I can't think of a more worthy substitute than his son.
Scott: Thank you, but I can't.
J.R.: Don't turn him down account of me. I wouldn't do it, not that he'd ask me, anyway.
Adam: Well, how could you possibly stand up for me if you can't stand up?
J.R.: I've got a lot going on right now...
J.R.: So I doubt I'd make your sham of a wedding, anyway.
Annie: Oh, that's too bad.
J.R.: As soon as Annie gets her ankle bracelet off and her daughter back, it's over.
Annie: I'm not going anywhere.
J.R.: You really have no idea how ridiculous you look, do you? You can be attracted to a crazy woman, and she can be hot, but you don't marry them.
Scott: Do you have anything nice to say about anyone, or are we all just losers and idiots here? You don't even give a damn about yourself. That's obvious, considering you can't stay off the scotch.
J.R.: You know, I don't really need a lecture from a hypocrite, all this big talk about saving the family, saving Chandler, and you jump on Annie's side. If you really cared about my father, you would tell him the truth, but now that you're his big-shot best man, you don't want to rock the boat.
Scott: I am not a hyp --
J.R.: You know, I don't care. Do whatever you want. I don't care anymore about the fights, the competition. It's just a major waste of my time.
Adam: I'm sure drinking is a far more wonderful way to waste your time.
J.R.: Best of luck, Dad, and, Scotty boy, thanks for trying to protect my place in the Chandler clan. I don't want it anymore. This whole family thing is such a joke. I'm out.
Erica: I called Ryan because I'm worried about you. You really haven't been yourself lately.
Zach: Believe it or not, I'm doing the best I can.
Erica: Under the circumstances, it's not easy -- I understand that -- but you made a deal with Adam, and you just let Ryan take Spike without putting up a fight. That's not like you. There's definitely something else going on here.
Zach: Now, you came over, because you want to help with Ian. I appreciate that. Leave me out of it.
Erica: Ryan --
Ryan: Hey, you hung up on me. What happened? Are you ok?
Erica: Uh, Zach caught me on the phone with you.
Ryan: Oh. That explains the look on his face out there.
Erica: Well, I told him that we are very worried about his strange behavior lately, and so he just stormed out.
Ryan: Well, Zach refusing to explain himself is about the only thing that is not strange.
Erica: No. He's definitely acting like a different person. I know why, Ryan.
Adam: Don't worry about J.R. This is what he does. He falls off the wagon. He alienates everybody in sight, and then he expects us all to chase after him.
Scott: Still, he's going through a rough time. We should support him, at least.
Adam: No. I've tried that. Been there. Doesn't work, believe me. No. He'll come crawling back soon enough.
Adam: Oh. Got it.
Scott: This was your idea, wasn't it, asking Adam to make me his best man.
Annie: Of course. He adores you. I thought this could bring you two closer together.
Scott: And hurt J.R.
Annie: I want to support each other just like you do, like you said, but if J.R. doesn't want to be a part of this family, we can't really force him.
Scott: He's Adam's son. That doesn't end just because he walked out the door.
Annie: Adam and J.R. have been fighting for years over issues and problems they are never going to solve. Maybe it's time we all accepted that.
Scott: Meaning what?
Annie: Meaning Adam deserves to be happy. We all do. I think it would be best for everybody if J.R. moved away, if he took Little Adam and went somewhere to start fresh.
Annie: Listen. I know it's hard. I know you want everything to be perfect, and so do I. What if it already is? What if we have the family we need right here, just the three of us?
Adam: You can bring everything into the parlor.
Annie: What -- [Gasps] Is that my wedding dress?
Dressmaker: I hope you like it.
Annie: Oh, you have to leave. It's bad luck. I don't want you to even see the bag it's in.
Adam: Come on. One little peek.
Annie: Both of you go. No, no. Go, go, go.
Scott: Come on, Uncle Adam. Come on.
Annie: Oh, God!
Adam: Oh, Annie is something else, isn't she?
Scott: Yeah. Yeah. Listen. I know it was her idea to put you up to this, asking me to be your best man. I won't be offended if you change your mind.
Adam: All right. I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Annie thinks that this is all her idea, but it's exactly what I wanted it to be. Don't worry about J.R.
Scott: It just doesn't feel right. He should be up there with you, not me.
Adam: These past few months have been the darkest in my life. I've kept it together because of two people -- Annie and you. You helped me. You protected me. You stood by me, and what I need now is to be surrounded by people I trust. So what do you say? Will you be my best man?
Scott: I'd be honored.
Erica: All the signs point to... Zach having an affair.
Ryan: Did he say anything to tip you off?
Erica: No. No. He's been evasive. He's been defensive. Why would he just let you take Spike out of this house? One less child in the house. That's why. Gives him more of an ability to focus on her. So, don't you want to know who it is?
Ryan: No, not really.
Erica: Well, I know who it is. I even found her lipstick on a glass here in this house. It's Liza Colby. Ohh... when I confronted Zach about this, he just practically threw me out of the house.
Ryan: Erica, whoever Zach is sleeping with, I'm gonna stay out of it. My advice to you is to do the same thing.
Erica: Ryan, I couldn't care less about Liza Colby, but I am not about to just sit back, throw up my hands, and let her prey on my daughter's husband.
Liza: No. No. No. Not a good idea.
Tad: Liza, what are you talking about? I got to get to Wildwind before Jake does something he can't undo.
Liza: You know what? He's a big boy I think he needs to work this out himself, all right?
Krystal: Liza is right. They might scream and yell. They might even throw a few punches, but come on. Jake would never kill anybody.
Jake: No. He wouldn't because what kind of person would that make him, right?
Tad: What did you do?
Jake: Why don't you ask my wife? She's the one making all the plans now. Go ahead.
Amanda: I'm moving into Wildwind.
Krystal: You're joking.
Tad: You said you told David he could take his offer and shove it.
Amanda: I did, but then I thought, "What's the alternative? We all go to prison, and David gets Trevor, anyway?"
Tad: Amanda, I see your point, but living with Hayward?
Amanda: Well, David thinks that we are all caving in, giving him exactly what he wants, but actually, we're the ones in control. I'm gonna get to be with my son until we figure out a way out of this mess.
Jake: Can somebody please tell her that's never gonna happen, and when she moves into that Wildwind place, she's never gonna come out the same person? Anybody?
Krystal: Amanda, I thought I was in control. I thought David couldn't hurt me, he couldn't take anything away from me. He took everything.
Amanda: I'm not scared of David, not anymore.
Amanda: I have you. My hand in yours, anything is possible. It's what I said when we stood right here and got married, and that's what I'm saying now.
Jake: I let you -- I let you down. I know I did.
Amanda: No, you didn't. You gave me the greatest gift of my life, a family, and we knew we were gonna have to fight for it, and we have to keep fighting, my hand in yours, until we're together again -- me, you, and our baby boy.
Jake: Right. Um, can you come over with us to Wildwind? That Willis person is gonna be there.
Jake: I think if my girl is gonna do this, I just think a lawyer should be there to make sure David keeps to his word.
Amanda: Thank you.
David: I was thinking about clearing out this entire room just for toys. What do you think?
Marissa: He'll be one lucky kid.
David: Yeah. Yeah. You know, I bought a brand-new video camera just so that I don't miss one minute and every stuffed animal I could find. Ha ha ha! I mean, this boy is gonna know right away that his daddy loves him very much.
Marissa: Aw, you've really thought of everything.
David: Yeah. You know, I'm trying to think of where to put Amanda, though. I think, obviously, the room next to the nursery would be best, but -- oh, that's right. You're living in that room, right?
Marissa: Yeah. That's fine, though. I can take a different room.
David: That would be great. Listen. If you can get your stuff out by the end of the day, that would be even better, ok?
Marissa: Sure. I'll get right on it.
David: Oh, good. [Chuckles]
Krystal: Hey. You don't look so good. What's wrong?
J.R.: Well, thanks for asking instead of insisting that I was drinking like everyone else has.
Krystal: J.R., I know you've worked way too hard to get sober to turn back now.
J.R.: Thanks for saying that. It's been a rough couple days capped off with a major argument with my father.
Tad: Krystal, would you do me a favor? Would you check on Jenny for me?
J.R.: No. Krystal needs to hear this, too.
Ryan: So, if you're ok, I think I'm gonna get out of this place.
Erica: Ok. As soon as Zach gets back, I'll be leaving, too.
[Cell phone rings]
Erica: Oh. Wait a second because this might be about Fusion.
Erica: Hello? Yes. I'll accept the charges. Kendall.
Kendall: Mom, I can't talk long, but I just want to know, did you convince Ryan to bring Spike back home?
Erica: Well, I may have made some progress. Honey, Ryan and I both have been concerned about Zach's recent behavior, especially why he didn't fight to keep Spike here, and Ryan just didn't want to leave Spike here in this house until we knew what was going on. Under the circumstances, honey, I really think that Ryan did the right thing. Anyway, I think we have it figured out. Honey, brace yourself. I think your husband is having an affair.
Ryan: Uh, can --
Kendall: Mom? Hello? Mom?
Ryan: It's me. It's me. It's me. It's Ryan.
Kendall: Ryan? Ryan.
Ryan: Listen. Are you ok?
Kendall: First of all, I don't understand why you would take Spike right now, of all times. Why would you do something like that?
Ryan: Look. I'm gonna explain, ok, but I don't want to do this on the phone. I'm gonna come and see you.
Kendall: No. No. I don't want any visitors. Just please tell me now.
Ryan: No, Kendall. I want to do this in person.
Kendall: Is my mother right? I mean, is Zach having an affair? Is that why he doesn't want Spike around?
Ryan: Look. I'm gonna tell you what I told Erica, ok? I am not interested in Zach's personal life. I'm gonna stay out of it.
Kendall: No. Please, please. Ryan, I need to know. Please just find out for me if my husband is having an affair.
Ryan: I'm gonna tell you what I am gonna do. I'm gonna take care of Spike, ok? That's what I'm gonna do until somebody can tell me what is going on with Zach, and if I like what I hear, well, then, yeah, of course, I'll bring Spike back here, but until then, he's gonna stay with me.
Annie: And one of the ice sculptures is gonna be life-sized -- of me, obviously -- and I'm not sure about the other ones, maybe, like, Greek goddesses or something. I'm not really sure. Oh, and I'm gonna have a 5-tier wedding cake with sugar roses tinged in real gold, oh, and a chocolate fountain. Ha! I can't wait for my daughter to see the chocolate fountain. She's gonna freak. I couldn't get the zipper. Would you mind?
[Cell phone ringing]
Annie: Ok, so real fast, let me just tell you, I'm not sure about the jewels. I was thinking maybe lace, maybe beading. I'm not really sure. The thing is, I do love the dress. I love the whole sleek, modern bride feel. I mean, who says a bride can't be sexy, right, and don't worry about what Adam said about the budget. I mean, I know what he said and all, but I'm sure I can get him to shell out some more cash. I mean, once we're married, I'm gonna need a clothing allowance, right? I'm gonna have social events, charity events, functions, all that good stuff, and God forbid I get photographed in the same dress twice. Can you imagine? I'd be mortified. See, these are no good. I'm not crazy about those. These aren't good, either, but these -- these I could definitely do. Uh, you never got to my zipper.
[Zach is standing behind Annie]
Erica: Ryan, I respect your position. I just hope that Kendall understands. What time is it?
Ryan: I think it's almost 3:00. Why?
Erica's voice on TV: Children -- trying to understand their world, listening to their dreams -- that's where the real hope lies for the future, for them and for us. I came hopefully in some small way to change their lives, but they changed mine, and I know they can change yours. Let them change your life, too. Thank you for joining me on the journey of a lifetime, and remember, whether it's Africa or your own back yard, we all have something to give. Until next time, I'm Erica Kane.
Erica: Oh, I can't believe I missed my own special.
Ryan: Oh, man. I'm sure it was incredible.
Erica: Oh, you haven't even seen it.
Ryan: I don't have to see it. You did it. It's got to be the best.
Ryan: Oh, you wondered if you'd be different when you came back from your trip, and I honestly think you are.
Erica: In a good way, I hope.
Ryan: Well, I didn't think you could be any more radiant than you already are, and I think being over there and helping children in need -- I don't know -- you have a whole new glow about you. Humanitarianism becomes you.
Zach: You getting ready for the big day?
Annie: What are you doing here?
Zach: I thought I'd come and RSVP in person.
Annie: Why are you really here?
Zach: To share information. Ryan took your kid. Well, now he's taken mine. Spike is at the penthouse full time.
Annie: Away from Ian? You can't be ok with that.
Zach: I didn't say I was ok with it, but he's his biological dad, and with Kendall gone, can't really stop him.
Annie: So what? Why are you telling me all this? What do you think, we'll team up, like first with you and Adam then, now it's gonna be me and you? No. The Zach Slater I know does not make new friends. He pushes them away, scares them, intimidates them. No one is gonna take his kid, and he's certainly not gonna make a deal with a woman that he hates.
Zach: Professional courtesy. Wanted to let you know what I had planned.
Annie: Well, since I know you're capable of anything, thanks for the heads-up.
Zach: I'm gonna make Ryan Lavery pay. He slept with my wife, took my kid. I know you want to make him pay, too, so here we are, a strange alliance for sure, but I think we could be useful for each other.
Annie: You want to be useful to me right now? Finish zipping up my dress.
[Door opens and Scott enters]
Zach: I'll be in touch.
J.R.: Annie is no longer a charity case. She's completely taken over my dad's life, and I can't go back there. That house is no place for my son to be raised. I just want him to be safe and happy.
Krystal: Well, Little A is fine. I mean, what brought this on? Did something happen?
Tad: Well, I think J.R. just wants to be a responsible papa.
Krystal: Did Adam make some sort of custody threat? Is that why you two were fighting?
J.R.: No. I'm just thinking ahead. I promised Babe that I would always be able to take care of our son, but if something was to happen to me and I can't, I want you to raise our son. He should be with his nana.
Krystal: You know I -- I would do anything for that boy -- of course, I would -- but come on. Stop thinking like that. Nothing is gonna happen to you.
J.R.: No. I'm just being prepared. Like, my worst fear is that my son ends up with my father and his crazy wife, and -- [Sighs] Promise me you won't let that happen.
Krystal: I promise... and thank you for trusting me with your precious son.
David: Therefore, I've decided not to press charges against anyone involved in the kidnapping of my son. In return, I expect my son to be removed from foster care immediately and delivered to me, at which time I will assume full custody.
D.A. Willis: Do you agree to these terms?
Liza: Yes. They do.
D.A. Willis: You've made a wise decision. A custody case can get very ugly.
David: Oh, that won't happen, will it?
Amanda: No. I've decided to move in with David.
D.A. Willis: And your husband?
David: No. He'll be residing elsewhere.
Liza: Well, since the mother and father will be living together, I think there'll be no more further need for Social Services. I think that we all agree that the baby should be brought back to his parents immediately.
David: Just so we're all clear here, the parents are Amanda and me. Jake Martin has absolutely no connection to this baby whatsoever. [Sighs] I can't wait to rock my son to sleep every night.
Amanda: He doesn't sleep with that blanket.
David: Well, I guess I have a lot to learn. It's a good thing Amanda is gonna be here to teach me.
Marissa: Do you want me to take any of this stuff upstairs?
Amanda: No. That's ok. I'm in no hurry to settle in.
David: You just relax and make yourself comfortable. This is your home now.
Amanda: My home is with you always.
[Knocks on door]
Amanda: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, hi, baby boy. Hi. Oh, I missed you so much. Yes. How's my big boy? Oh my God, I've missed you so much. Hey, look at you, big man. Look how big he's gotten.
Jake: Mm-hmm. Someone has been eating all his veggies. Listen, you. You look after your mother, and your mom will take care of you, ok? I'm thinking about you.
Amanda: It's ok. It's all right. Come here.
Jake: I love you, both of you. I'll call you.
David: All right. Time to go.
Amanda: No, not yet.
Jake: It's ok. It's all right.
David: Hey, cheer up. It's what you wanted, right? Amanda back together with her son? Well, you got your wish.
[David shuts the door in Jake's face]
Annie: You are so overreacting.
Scott: A few weeks ago, the man wanted you in prison, and now, what, he's dropping by to chat? No, no, no, no, no. Something is way off. He is working you, Annie.
Annie: How do you know I'm not working him? I am not stupid. I don't trust Zach Slater, but the guy gets things done. Maybe he can help me.
Scott: Wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Now you're making deals with him, too?
Annie: What I want more than anything in the world is to take Emma back from Ryan. So far, nobody has been able to make that happen. Maybe Zach can do it.
Scott: Even if he could, why would he?
Annie: Ryan took Spike out of Zach's house. Zach is like a second father to that little boy. He's gonna make Ryan pay and not just for that, but also the fact that he had sex with Kendall. Zach is gearing up for a serious battle, and if he wins, this could be my perfect opportunity to get my daughter back.
Scott: This is not a safe battle to get anywhere near.
Annie: Listen. I meant what I said before. I want our family to be perfect, but I was wrong about one thing. The three of us isn't enough. I need my daughter back.
Zach: Hey, did you find anything good?
Erica: What are you talking about?
Zach: In the house. Did you find lingerie or any lipstick on glasses, anything like that?
Ryan: I was just leaving.
Zach: Good. You know what? You got Spike. There's nothing left for you in this house. Get out and don't come back.
Erica: Zach, please don't do this.
Zach: And you next.
Tad: You said you were gonna fight.
J.R.: I am, but I have to be realistic about this.
Tad: J.R. --
J.R.: The treatment might cure the cancer. It might not. I'm gonna do everything that I can. I'm just trying to think about my son. I don't want him raised the way that I was raised. I want him to have totally different experience, except for one thing -- you. Now, I know that you don't want to go there right now, but if something was to happen to me, I want you to be a father to him, because you've always been such a great dad to me.
Tad: I'll be there for Little Adam the same way I'm gonna be there for you for a long, long time to come.
J.R.: No one can know that I'm sick, not even Krystal. I'm trusting you with that.
Krystal: Oh, you took off so fast, I was worried.
Marissa: Everyone is still standing at Wildwind. I just had to get out of there.
Krystal: Yeah. Yeah. I know the feeling.
Marissa: Amanda actually moved in there with her baby. I didn't see that one coming.
Krystal: With David, you never do, but he got what he wanted -- a family to control.
Marissa: You didn't see Amanda. He's not controlling her.
Krystal: It's only a matter of time.
Marissa: I thought I could help, but I can't. I can't go back there.
Krystal: No. No. You can't, but someone has got to help.
Amanda: [Giggles] Mm... don't touch him. Stay away from me and my baby. Come on. There you go.
[Music plays at ConFusion]
Singer: This is one that untrue that untrue devious like anything else
Liza: Hey, you. Listen. I know what you're thinking, that you're never gonna have a child. That's not true. You are gonna be a fantastic father.
Jake: That's not what I was thinking. I just pulled a gun on David, and I was thinking I really should've pulled the trigger.
Liza: Come on. You don't mean that.
Jake: No. I mean it from the bottom of my heart, and when I get that chance again, and I will, I'm gonna blow the son of a bitch away.
Annie: No peeking!
Scott: Then hurry up.
Annie: All right, all right, all right. Are you ready?
Scott: I've been ready for a half an hour.
Annie: Ok. Just remember, it's not finished yet.
Annie: Ok. You can look now.
Annie: So, what do you think?
Adam: I agree. Stunning.
Annie: No. You're not supposed to see me.
Adam: Ha! That's a silly superstition.
Annie: No. It's not. Now we're gonna have nothing but bad luck. Oh, my God, the wedding is ruined.
Ryan: Zach had no reason to talk to you like that.
Erica: No. He didn't, but I'm fine.
Ryan: Everything you got going on, you offer to move into his house, help him take care of his son, and he shows you no gratitude, no respect. I'm sorry, but that is not acceptable.
Erica: Thank you. Thank you for defending me, but I already moved out yesterday, anyhow, and anyhow, I haven't been here for Zach. I'm here for my daughter, who is locked in prison away from everyone she loves.
Kendall: My mom thinks that you are having an affair with Liza. Is that why you ran off so fast, to go be with your lover?
Zach: First your mother and now you.
Kendall: Well, that wasn't a no.
Zach: I was at the Chandlers' working on Annie for you.
Kendall: I'm sorry. I am, Zach. I'm really sorry. I just -- sometimes I just feel so trapped up here, and I feel so alone, even though I know I'm not, and I know I'm not very good at showing it, but I am beyond grateful for everything you've done for me. I don't know what I'd do without you.
Zach: Hey, it's all right.
[Zach hugs Kendall]
