Amanda: Just picture David carted off to some cell, ok? Do you know -- that means we could -- we could stop all this craziness. We could keep the baby.
Jake: You just -- you just said "we."
Amanda: Well, yeah, I mean -- what, don't you want to --
Jake: Marry you?
Amanda: No, I didn't say that.
Jake: No, um, I said it. Marry me, Amanda.
Jake: Yes? Ok, I just said marry me. You said yes. And you did?
Amanda: Yes, yes.
Jake: Ok, you swear? Oh, God, let's do this as soon as we can. As soon as we can.
Amanda: First thing tomorrow. We can go to City Hall and get a marriage license.
Jake: Really -- no, I've got a better idea than that. Listen, I've got a better idea.
Jesse: So let's try this again. What were you doing on Chandler's property that night?
Liza: Don't say a word. My client does not have to answer that.
David: It's all right. I'll tell them what they want to hear.
Jesse: We want to hear the truth.
David: Actually, I was there when Stuart was killed.
Liza: Ok, that's enough. My client does not have to answer any --
David: It's time for all of this to come out. Some of you will like what I have to say. Some of you will not.
Angie: We've got good news.
Dr. Sloane: I'm comfortable with Ian's physical condition at this point. I believe your son's ready for surgery.
Kendall: Really? He can be off these dumb machines and then you can fix his heart?
Angie: That's the plan.
Erica: Oh, what happened?
Kendall: This is just the news that we wanted. Ian can have the operation.
Kendall: Yeah, finally.
Erica: Oh, that's wonderful, honey. It's wonderful, it's wonderful.
J.R.: Jesse took David in for questioning. They think he could have shot Uncle Stuart.
Adam: That should have been me lying on that floor. It would have been if it hadn't been for Annie.
J.R.: Oh, yes, that's right. Your new BFF. What the hell's going on with you two anyway?
Adam: She saved my life. Not that I deserved it, of course. But I know I can't bring Stuart back, but I might learn from his example. And of course, Annie -- hmm, she might just give me a shot at redemption.
J.R.: You know, Dad, if you want to save your soul, you might want to try to help someone that actually deserves it, not a whack job like Annie.
Adam: Don't talk -- don't call her that.
J.R.: What, do you feel sorry for a murderer?
Adam: I don't know. I -- just something draws me to her. I --
J.R.: You have the hots for a psycho.
Annie: Uh --
Annie: Excuse me.
Officer: What are you doing out here?
Annie: I need a nurse. Ow, ah.
Aidan: Are you all right?
Kendall: You're sure Ian's ready for the surgery?
Angie: The ecmo machine gave him time to get strong. He is right where we need him to be.
Dr. Sloane: The mechanical valve you've chosen to implant should keep his heart functioning properly for several years.
Kendall: Then he'll need another operation?
Dr. Sloane: Yes. Probably more than one. The valves don't automatically become larger. He'll need to have them replaced as he grows.
Kendall: I wish we had done this in the first place.
Erica: Well, honey, you chose the Chandler valve because you thought it was the best option at the time.
Kendall: Right, and I put my son's life at risk.
Zach: Ian survived. He's going to live a long and healthy life.
Erica: Exactly. Honey, focus on the wonderful, wonderful future you're going to have.
Angie: Oh, you're going to have to excuse me. Listen, Kendall, he is in very good hands.
Kendall: Angie, your son will be ok, too.
Angie: Thank you.
Kendall: Where's Ryan?
Erica: Um, you know, I'll go look for him. You stay here. You have this time with Ian. Ryan, hi.
Erica: Oh, that's such good news about the surgery, isn't it?
Ryan: Yeah, it sure is.
Erica: How is, um, Spike? I've been meaning to ask you. I know this must have been a very difficult time for him lately, not seeing too much of his mother and his father.
Ryan: Is this your new strategy? That's very clever.
Erica: What are you talking about?
Ryan: Well, you're suggesting that Kendall's worried about Spike and that she wants me to go take care of him so that it gives her time to bond with Zach and with Ian.
Erica: Ryan --
Ryan: That's not what Kendall wants, Erica.
Adam: Don't be ridiculous. There's nothing romantic going on between me and Annie.
J.R.: You're acting like you're in love with her.
Adam: I'm grateful to her. The night of the murder this house was crawling with would-be killers, any one of which would put a bullet through me if Annie hadn't helped me escape.
J.R.: Annie is no hero. She came here to kidnap her daughter.
Adam: She could have done just that. She could have taken Emma and left me to the firing squad, but she didn't. She felt compassion. She felt sympathy. I see no fault in returning the favor.
J.R.: Annie did one good deed. She also killed her brother and stabbed Erica.
Adam: She was ill.
J.R.: Oh, Dad, get a grip. Crazy Annie needs to go back to the looney bin, and you need to focus on Chandler Enterprises and finding the person who killed Uncle Stuart. Not to mention, there's still someone out there that wants you dead.
Adam: Everyone out there wants me dead. The night of the murder I was wandering around this house completely disoriented because of that -- the pills that Hayward had given me. Annie took me up to the attic and took care of me.
J.R.: How would you know? You were so disoriented you didn't remember her.
Adam: No, I remember her telling me that she wasn't going to desert me. Aidan Devane and Emma, they saw her give me CPR. My heart had stopped totally.
J.R.: Well, I'm thankful that you're ok. But the fact is that Annie is sick. She needs professional help, and you need to concentrate on what's really important.
[Cell phone rings]
Adam: Well, uh -- uh, yeah? I'll be right there. The hospital. Annie's collapsed.
J.R.: Why are they calling you?
Adam: Let's just -- shut up and get the car.
Annie: Is the nurse coming?
Aidan: The officer's getting help. Annie, I saw you out there. You could have taken that officer's gun and escape, but you didn't. Why not?
Angie: Looks like she's going into shock. Listen, you need to leave. Let's get her BP.
Aidan: Annie, answer me, please.
Angie: Officer. Get him out of here, please.
David: I was in the Chandler tunnels. At the panel door that leads right into the parlor. I had another gun, one that I had stashed in the tunnels when I was hiding out there. I pointed the gun at Adam, but just as I was about to take a shot, I thought about my children, and I just couldn't go through with it. So I made my way through the tunnels, out into the garden. That's when I heard the gunshot.
David: So I look back toward the house, and it was at that moment I saw someone running toward me. I went to hide in the bushes. That person tripped. I looked up. It turned out to be Kendall. That's why you found my shoe print at the scene.
Liza: Ok, my client has answered all of your questions. He should be free to go unless you have any other evidence against him.
Mr. North: What do you think, Chief?
Jesse: I think everything he just said was a lie.
Jake: I get it. I get it. It's a "Poltergeist" thing, right?
Opal: Your brother is experimenting.
Jake: Ah, really? What, with drugs again?
Tad: Shh, I'm trying to find the images.
Amanda: Am I crazy or is that just static?
Tad: No, it's a nature program. Or rather, it's what a nature program's going to look like if I don't get that digital converter set up by Friday. I'm trying to train my eyes.
Jake: Really, what, to be as cheap as the rest of your body?
Tad: What fun it is to laugh. Nah, ok, Mom, right there. It's a tree frog. Right there. Plain as the nose on your face.
Jake: More like a dolphin --
Opal: He's been going on like this for almost an hour.
Tad: It's a tree frog.
Tad: Either that or a blowfish. Pretty sure it's a tree frog, though. And before you clowns start jumping all over me, you might want to give it a shot. It's kind of fun.
Amanda: Tad, the box came yesterday. It takes like five minutes to hook it up.
Opal: Well, let's get on it, then, pronto. Our show's about to start, and today is the big wedding. Marco and Consuelo are finally going to tie the knot.
Tad: I'd rather watch tree frogs.
Opal: Oh, Tad.
Jake: Well, then we're not going to tell you our good news, then.
[Opal gasps as Jake holds up their marriage license]
Opal: You didn't!
Amanda: Not yet, but we're about to.
Opal: Oh, wonderful! That's just great.
Jake: Ah, thank you.
Tad: I couldn't be happier.
Jake: Really, because you're paying for everything. I'm kidding, but we do want you to perform the ceremony.
David: I told you exactly what happened. Whether you believe it or not, it's a fact.
Jesse: I don't believe it. Kendall said she heard the gunshot after she tripped.
Mr. North: Oh, Ms. Hart -- or should I say Mrs. Slater, thanks to her spousal immunity remarriage, she becomes our prime suspect, then suddenly she fits Dr. Hayward into her sequence of events? It's a little too convenient for me.
David: Here, here.
Jesse: Well, here's what I think happened. David was on the Chandler property, headed for the house. He heard someone coming, so he hid. Kendall comes running through and tripped. Hayward gets up and heads for the house. He reaches the terrace. He sees the gun that Kendall drops, because she can't go through with shooting Adam.
Jesse: He picks the gun up, lines up a shot at who he thinks is Adam, and ends up killing Stuart instead.
Liza: Well, that is the biggest load ever.
David: That's all right. I can speak for myself. This is precisely why I wanted to leave town. These people don't give a damn about the truth. All they want to do is see me burn. From the moment I heard about Stuart Chandler, I knew the lynch mob would be coming after me.
Jesse: With damn good reason. An innocent man was shot in the back. I don't know. For me, it's got Hayward written all over it.
Liza: Oh, good. Now we can put defamation of character on with false imprisonment and harassment.
Mr. North: Easy, counselor.
David: Let me tell you something. I would be the first one to admit that I am no saint. But I did not shoot Stuart Chandler. However, the chief is right about one thing. I haven't been completely honest.
Erica: Ryan, Kendall never said that she wants you to go running off to be with Spike. That was entirely my idea.
Ryan: I know. I do admire your persistence and your creativity, Erica. I really do. You know what? I am going to go see Spike, and I am going to take him to the penthouse tonight.
Erica: Well, good.
Ryan: Not because you told me to, but because I think that's what he needs.
Erica: Well, of course, he needs you. He loves you. You're his father. Please, give him a kiss for me.
Ryan: I will.
Kendall: Can we close our eyes for a minute? Just humor me. Close your eyes. Ok. We are at Ian's birthday party. He's healthy and strong, and we're celebrating with the rest of the family.
Zach: We can set up the train in the backyard, and he can drive it.
Kendall: Oh, well, Spike will insist on driving it.
Zach: What happened?
Kendall: It's not over. I mean, we're still here.
Zach: Yeah, after this operation, we'll plan his birthday party. It's just going to be one of -- of many, many birthday parties. And who knows, in a few years, maybe we can find a valve that we can leave in there forever.
Kendall: I hope so. I hope I'm around for that.
Zach: You will be.
Opal: Oh, look at that Marco. Oh, what I wouldn't give to have that hunk of hombre grab me and throw --
Tad: No visuals, Mom.
Amanda: Jake, I can't believe you're missing this. They're about to get married.
Jake: All right, shnookums, but I'm just -- I'm just planning our wedding, so --
Jake: What? That's it? All right, good. So what does that mean?
Tad: I am fully ordained. You may now refer to me as the Reverend Thaddeus.
Jake: Really, so you're legal? So we can do this. I mean, we can do it right now.
Tad: Be not so hasty, my son. Marriage is a lifelong commitment.
Jake: We're not going to do it like this. Just get back to the website.
Tad: I just -- it's printing out even as we speak. Besides, you haven't even given me a chance to read my manual.
Jake: Well, since when do you need to read manuals? You never read manuals.
Opal: Hey, would you two just pipe down?
Jake: You printed two of the same ones.
Tad: Shut up.
Tad: Which one's Marco?
Opal: I knew it! I knew that Paulo would never let Consuelo go.
Jake: Okey-doke -- and done, sí. There you go. Let's get the show on the road. That's what I say.
Dr. Sloane: We'll take excellent care of him.
Zach: Your mom and dad are going to be right here.
Kendall: We love you so much, baby.
Erica: He's going to be back in your arms before you know it, honey.
Kendall: Did you, um, did you find out where Ryan was?
Erica: Yes, he went to spend some time with Spike.
Kendall: Good, good. I feel like I haven't seen my Spikey in forever.
Zach: It's not your fault. You were here taking care of his brother.
Kendall: I know, but I haven't been there for Spike at all.
Zach: It's all right. Spike knows you love him.
Erica: I'll be right back.
Adam: I'm here to see a patient, Annie Lavery.
Nurse: Oh, she's still in the E.R. We're waiting for a room to free up.
Erica: Adam, how nice of you to come here to the hospital to show your support for Ian.
Adam: Oh, no, I came to see Annie. Excuse me.
Aidan: Angie, how's Annie?
Angie: Annie has an infection. That is not surprising being that she was stabbed with a jailhouse shiv.
Aidan: Is it serious?
Angie: Well, a course of antibiotics should clear it up. I gave her some medication for the pain. She'll be out for a while. But in a day or two, she'll be as good as new.
Adam: Is Annie all right? I heard she collapsed. What happened?
J.R.: Dad, relax.
Angie: Annie has an infection, but she'll be fine.
Adam: I'm going to press criminal charges against the animal that did this to her. But first, where is Annie?
Angie: Look, you can go in. She's in that cubicle. But not for long, Adam, all right? I'll be back in a few minutes.
Aidan: Your father seems to be seriously concerned about Annie.
J.R.: My father thinks your psycho girlfriend is the key to his salvation.
Aidan: What, because she saved his life?
J.R.: Did Annie really get his heart started again?
Aidan: I was willing to let him die, but she just wouldn't stop giving him CPR.
J.R.: Oh, so he could send over the standard fruit basket, flowers, but this -- this is taking it way too far. Normally I wouldn't be worried, but he's vulnerable.
Aidan: Adam Chandler? I don't think so.
J.R.: He just lost his brother to a killer that's still gunning for him. David Hayward gave him pills that messed with his head. His company is tanking. So yeah, I think so. My father's in a bad place, and a desperate woman like Annie could take advantage of that.
Adam: What's that?
Angie: Antibiotics for Annie's infection.
Adam: Oh. Who says that's the best course of treatment?
Angie: I do.
Adam: No, that's not good enough. I'm on the board of this hospital, and I need a second opinion. No, no, what I really need is -- I want every physician on the staff of this hospital in this room immediately.
Angie: That's not possible, Adam.
Adam: Make it possible, ok?
Angie: I'll just see what I can do.
Adam: You ain't seen nothing yet.
Annie: It's nice to have someone actually looking out for me.
Adam: I owe you my life, so you relax, and I'm going to make everything better for you.
J.R.: Can we leave now?
Adam: No, absolutely not. No one in this dump cares whether Annie lives or dies, and I'm getting her out of here.
Adam: No, I'm going to take her to a top-notch facility.
J.R.: This is an excellent hospital. Angie is a great doctor.
Adam: No. Tell Joe Martin I want to see him here, stat.
Erica: What's Adam so worked up about?
J.R.: My father's obsessed with Annie Lavery.
Aidan: How's Ian?
Ryan: He's good. He's going in for surgery right now. Was going to go check in on Annie before I leave.
Aidan: Yeah, Ryan, I have a question about Annie. How did you end things with her?
Ryan: I had to protect my daughter.
Aidan: I think I'm going to have to walk away, too.
Ryan: She dumped you?
Aidan: Earlier on today she had the chance to escape, and she didn't take it.
Ryan: And why should that surprise you, Aidan? You've been running around telling everybody that she's getting better, that she wants to pay for what she did.
Aidan: She doesn't want to do any time. She wants to find a way out of it. First, she used me. And now she's using Adam Chandler.
Ryan: Now you're just realizing it? It's too bad your reality didn't set in a few months ago when my daughter was going through hell, Aidan. You know what? Is this for real or is this another one of your plans to bust Annie out of there?
Aidan: No, this is not one of my plans, all right. This is -- this is for real. Annie's crazier than ever, and she should never be released.
J.R.: All he cares about, all he thinks about is Annie. If Dad gets sucked in any more, who knows what she'll do? She cracked her brother's skull.
Erica: Oh, you don't have to remind me of what she's capable of.
J.R.: But she helped him, big-time. But so did you. He could have never gotten through those past few months if you hadn't been there.
Erica: We go back a long way.
J.R.: Exactly. Real friendship. This Annie thing -- going from zero to hand-holding overnight. It's just so bizarre.
Erica: Oh. Well, I mean, your father's grieving. But for him to become fixated on a crazy woman, that is just -- you know, Adam is definitely looking for something more than comfort.
J.R.: So you don't think it's romantic.
Erica: Oh, no, this isn't about romance.
J.R.: Well, then what? Why is he acting like Little Adam when he locks in on a toy that he wants? No matter what I say, he doesn't want to hear it.
Erica: I don't know. I just don't know. The only thing I do know is that anyone who hangs on to Annie Lavery winds up getting hurt, or worse.
Ryan: You helped Annie kidnap my daughter. You broke her out of Oak Haven. You fell in love with her. Why should I believe that you want her locked up?
Aidan: I thought Annie was getting better, Ryan. Ok, I was wrong.
Ryan: Well, if she can fool you, she can fool Adam Chandler.
Aidan: Annie wanted to take Emma and run, and if she's still willing to do whatever it takes --
Ryan: I will stop them.
Aidan: Adam Chandler's a powerful man. He owes Annie his life. If she wants to disappear with Emma, he's the man that can make it happen.
Ryan: The last time that I saw Annie with Emma -- you were there. You were there. She turned herself into the cops. She said that she was done running and that she doesn't want to do that anymore. She wants to be a better mother. And you believed her. I know you believed her. Now, all the sudden, there's like this 180. You go from being her biggest fan to her enemy, Aidan, just like that.
Aidan: I'm not her enemy.
Ryan: No. You're just pissed off because she doesn't need you anymore.
Kendall: I'm losing my mind. Actually, I wish I was losing my mind. Then I wouldn't be thinking about Ian laying on the operating table again. I can't do this, Zach. I just -- I don't know if I can do this.
Zach: Do me a favor. Close your eyes. Come on.
Zach: Hear that sound? That's the train Spike's driving. Someone didn't buy a ticket. He's running the train.
Kendall: Zach, thank you. But this happy fantasy -- it's not working. It's not. I need to talk about something else, something real. My case, my case. Tell me about my case.
Zach: There's plenty of time to talk about that.
Kendall: Well, you never told me how it went with the DA. Did he say he would drop the charges against me and go after David instead?
Zach: We're working on it.
Kendall: But they still want to put me away for murder.
Jesse: You lied to the police.
Liza: Ok, you don't have to say a word.
David: I want to set the record straight.
Mr. North: Go ahead, Dr. Hayward.
David: I already told you that what stopped me from shooting Adam was the thought of my children, and that is true. It certainly gave me pause. But there was something else that prevented me from shooting Adam that night. I didn't have a clean shot.
Liza: David, you --
David: So I took the tunnel that goes directly under the parlor out into the garden in the hopes that I could line up a clean shot. But before I could make my way to the terrace, that's when I heard the gunshot. Someone else beat me to it. Someone else took that shot. And that's when I looked up, and I saw Kendall running toward me.
Jesse: Coming from the terrace?
David: Yes, that's right. But I also saw someone else.
Mr. North: Who?
David: I made my way to the terrace to look inside the parlor, and standing over Stuart's dead body was Liza.
Opal: Here you go. A bridal bouquet picked fresh from the garden. What do you think?
Amanda: Oh, they're beautiful.
Opal: Not as beautiful as you are, honeybunch.
Amanda: Thank you.
Opal: Would you allow me? I know a thing or two about makeup.
Amanda: Shotgun wedding with a guy who's not even the father of my baby. It's not exactly how I imagined it.
Opal: Hey, you're about to become a Martin. You couldn't have picked a better bunch.
Amanda: I guess I just thought we'd be in a church. I'd be in a wedding dress. My mom and dad would walk me down the aisle. Tim would be there. I know it's impossible, but that's just the way I dreamed it.
Opal: Hmm. Trevor and Janet -- they are here, honey. I can feel them.
Amanda: You don't think they'd be disappointed?
Opal: Oh, goodness, no. No, how could they be? You know, it doesn't matter where you get married or if you have a big, fancy, shmancy dress or not. What matters is that you picked the right guy. And you sure as heck did.
Amanda: Jake will make an amazing husband.
Opal: Yeah, and a pretty good papa, too.
Opal: Yeah, "wow" is right.
Jake: Hey, you --
Opal: I'll give you two a little alone time, maybe, before we start.
Jake: Thanks. That's all right. I interrupted. I don't know how to do these things. But Reverend Thaddeus, as I like to call him, is, you know, taking this very seriously.
Amanda: So am I. I've never been known for thinking things through, but I would never marry you if I didn't love you, if I didn't know that I wanted to be with you forever. And I've never been so sure of anything in my life. I want to spend the rest of my life with you watching sappy movies and eating beef nib-nibs, and laughing at your dorky jokes. And -- and wondering how I ever got so lucky.
Jake: Well, you had me at "nib-nibs."
[Jake and Amanda kiss]
Tad: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Knock it off. Come on. Not until I say you can kiss the bride.
Jake: See what I'm talking about?
Kendall: It's because we got married, isn't it? The DA thinks we tried to outsmart him, so now he's even more determined to lock me up.
Zach: That's not going to happen.
Kendall: I don't understand why. Why is he so bent on this case against me? I mean, he's got all this evidence against David. But the evidence against me is stronger. Zach, please don't keep things from me now.
Zach: This DA is young and ambitious. If he could take down Erica Kane's daughter -- rich, beautiful -- he'd get a lot of votes come election time.
Kendall: But we both know that I didn't do it.
Zach: It doesn't matter. He wants a conviction.
Kendall: I need you to tell me. Tell me that you know I'm not a killer.
Zach: Of course, I know.
Kendall: But you're not 100% sure.
Zach: I'm 100% sure of two things. Number one, our son's going to make it. Number two, you didn't kill Stuart.
Angie: You wanted to hear from other doctors. You have. Now, they have all backed up my diagnosis of Annie, and now they have to get back to work.
Adam: Every physician in this hospital -- that's what I asked for. All I heard from were your hand-picked cronies.
Doctor: We speak for the entire staff. Dr. Hubbard knows exactly what she's doing.
Angie: Thank you, Patrick, Gary. You know, but if you'd listened to me in the first place, I'd have already started Annie's treatment. Instead, you've wasted everyone's time and delayed her recovery.
Adam: What's her prognosis?
Angie: Annie will be fine if you stop interfering. You know what? I don't have time for your nonsense. Now I'm going to get the rest of her meds, and when I get back, you better be gone.
J.R.: Are you satisfied? Or should we call in the surgeon general? Let's go home.
Annie: I'm so hot. I'm burning up, Aidan. What's happening to me?
Aidan: Just try and relax. It means the medicine's working.
Annie: It's bad. It's bad, isn't it? That's why the doctors won't tell me anything.
Aidan: Angie said you're going to be fine.
Annie: I think I'm -- I think I'm dying. I think I'm dying. I'm so sorry, Aidan. I'm so sorry. I didn't want to hurt you, but I didn't have a choice.
Aidan: Why not?
Annie: Why is this happening to me? Why is this happening right now when I was so close? I was so close.
Adam: Maybe I should check on Annie.
J.R.: She needs rest.
Erica: J.R., I'd like to speak to your father alone.
J.R.: I'll get the car.
Erica: Ok, exactly what is going on between you and Annie Lavery?
Adam: Oh, not you, too. The woman saved my life. Why is everyone acted as if she's --
Erica: She's dangerous? Because she is.
Adam: No, no, she was, at one time, yes, maybe, but not anymore.
Erica: Adam, that's an act. She fooled her psychiatrists, her lawyers, even her own husband. Adam, come on. You cannot possibly fall for that.
Adam: Erica, don't you worry. I'll have plenty of attention left for you.
Erica: Oh, brother. All this time I thought that it was the poison pills that were dulling your brain, but now I realize, clearly, you're just a fool.
Kendall: Zach, you say I'm innocent. But that look in your eyes shows that you have doubt.
Zach: You're wrong.
Kendall: It's just a little flicker, but it's there. And if you're not convinced, then a jury won't be either. No, they'll sentence me to life, or worse.
Zach: You got to stop this.
Kendall: I'm just -- I'm afraid. This DA's coming after me with everything he has, and it seems like I'm the only person who truly believes that I didn't kill Stuart.
Zach: The DA can do whatever he wants. Jackson, me, Ryan -- we're going to protect you.
Kendall: Well, what if you can't?
Zach: Don't ask that. The only thing you have to do right now is be strong for Spike and for Ian. Just be strong.
Liza: I just wanted my letters back. That was the only reason I went inside the mansion.
Jesse: We're going to need to see those letters.
Liza: Of course. I'll get them for you right away.
Jesse: Why didn't you tell us all this the first time around? You admitted to being in the house. Why not mention the letters you took from Stuart's pocket after he had been shot?
Liza: What -- and become a suspect? Have Colby hate me even more? Give birth in prison?
Jesse: Was there anybody else there that night that can corroborate your story?
Jesse: Should we hold her for further questioning?
Mr. North: No, that won't be necessary. But Miss Colby will have to provide us with a new statement.
Liza: Of course.
Mr. North: With one small addition. I'll need you to confirm what you told us originally. That you saw Kendall Hart Slater on the terrace with a gun the night of the murder. That won't be a problem, will it?
Tad: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to recognize the beauty of love, to add our best wishes --
Jake: Wrap -- wrapping it up. Tighten it. Tighten it down.
Tad: I'm sorry. I thought you asked me to do this. Not only am I a newly ordained minister performing a sacred ceremony in the eyes of God and my mother --
Jake: Ok, ok.
Tad: If I'm going to do it, could I --
Jake: All right. Sorry.
Amanda: Tad wants it to be special. I think it's nice.
Tad: Thank you, my child. As I was saying -- dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the eyes of God to celebrate -- to -- ooh, wait, whoa, whoa. Skip down -- no, no, no, no, no. Ok, before I get to that part, I was so supposed to say --
Jake: That's what I paid for.
