Jake: "The Dangers of Delivery"? Is that about Chinese takeout? Because if it is, I want to read it next.
Amanda: I'm just trying to be prepared.
Jake: I think you're freaking yourself out. That's what I think.
Amanda: Things go wrong in delivery all the time, Jake.
Jake: Really? Well, not this time.
Amanda: You don't know that.
Jake: I do. I know that.
Amanda: All this talk about this baby, pretending that it died, what if it actually happens?
Jake: It's not going to happen. What -- stop. Stop thinking about the worst-case scenario.
Amanda: I can't, ok? I made promises. If something happens to this baby, there's a woman out there who'd be losing him, too.
Colby: Hey. Thanks for coming.
Liza: Oh, I was so thrilled that you called. So how are you doing?
Colby: Uh, ok.
Liza: Yeah? Have you, uh -- have you spoken to your father? You know, you can't ignore him forever.
Colby: Hmm, I can try.
Colby: That's actually why I wanted to see you. I want to move out of the mansion, like now. So I was wondering --
Liza: Yes, yes, of course, you can move in with me. Oh, Colby, I would love it. Oh, we could -- we could bring back all those old traditions, you know, like Saturday-night movie night and Sunday spa weekends and painting your toes. Gosh, I haven't done that in so long, but I'm sure it's --
Colby: Mom, Mom --
Colby: I -- I already have a roommate.
Colby: My -- my friend Corrina, we -- we found an apartment. It's right near campus, and it's totally perfect, and I was hoping maybe you could help me out with the deposit.
Aidan: I just heard about what happened. How is she?
Adam: Not to worry, she couldn't be in better hands.
Aidan: Thanks for sitting with her, but I can take it from here.
Adam: I'm not going anywhere.
Krystal: Oh --
Angie: Krystal -- what are you doing here?
Krystal: Oh, I just came by to pick up a prescription for Jenny. Poor baby's got a terrible ear infection. I was up half the night with her.
Angie: What -- Tad is letting Jenny stay at Wildwood now?
Krystal: No, Tad is letting me stay with him. I left David.
J.R.: Well, what are waiting for? Arrest him already.
Marissa: No, the chief can't do that without probable cause.
J.R.: Really? How's assault sound? Because I sure as hell didn't do this myself. I want to press charges.
David: You attacked me, you nimrod. I was defending myself.
Jesse: All right, then shut up, just shut up. Would you do me a favor? Get your cousin out of here? Please, I need to ask the doctor a few questions.
Marissa: About what?
Jesse: About the night Stuart Chandler was murdered.
Kendall: And if the footprint doesn't match, if we can't find anything on David at all --
Zach: Then you're still the prime suspect.
Kendall: Spike and Ian, they'll be men by the time I get out of prison, if I get out at all.
Ryan: Don't think like that.
Kendall: I have to think like that. All of the evidence points to me. I could be facing the death penalty.
Zach: Not gonna happen.
Ryan: That is not going to happen.
Adam: Annie asked me to come after she was stabbed with a shiv or whatever you people in prison call that sort of thing. She wanted me, not you.
Aidan: When she wakes up, I'll be sure to tell her that you stopped by. In the meantime, if you don't mind, I'd like to spend some time alone.
Adam: So you can go on enabling her? What is it, Aidan? Is she getting too sane for you these days?
Aidan: What are you trying to say?
Adam: This woman deserves a chance to get better.
Aidan: What do you think I've been doing these past few months?
Adam: Good question.
Aidan: When everyone turned their back on Annie, I was there for her. I helped her.
Adam: Well, how? By encouraging her to escape from a mental institution, to flee the country? No, you didn't help her. You put her in this bed.
Annie: Stop, stop, please.
Adam: Are you all right?
Annie: I'm just -- I'm just tired.
Adam: You see? You hear that? I think you'd best leave.
Annie: No, it's ok. I have to talk to Aidan.
Colby: You look upset.
Liza: No, I'm not upset. I'm just -- I'm processing, you know, all of this.
Colby: Me, too. Me, too, between you coming back, me finding out about all your letters, and there's the whole Jake sperm-donor thing.
Liza: I know, honey. I know it's a lot to process.
Colby: Yeah, it would be good for me to have my own space, to think and -- and deal.
Liza: Yeah, no, I get it. I get it. You know what? I will write you a check right now, huh? How much do you need?
Liza: Absolutely, and if you need any help whenever, just -- just call me.
Colby: Wow, thank you.
Liza: But there's one thing. Hey, you, you have to talk to your father. He loves you, Colby, and I know that deep down inside, you do love him, too, and I'm not asking you to forgive him.
Colby: Good, because I don't know if I can.
Amanda: What if he comes too early?
Jake: It's not going to come too early.
Amanda: He comes out, he could have trouble breathing.
Jake: He's not going to come -- that's why I prescribed you surfactant, ok? Full, healthy lung development. This child's so strong, we could deliver him right now. If you want to, we'll deliver him. I'll get some silverware.
Amanda: So he's ready?
Jake: Yes, absolutely.
Amanda: What if I'm not? What if I can't say goodbye to this baby, Jake?
Angie: So David offered to buy Amanda's baby.
Krystal: Yes. It was awful. I mean, under any circumstances, but the fact that he knew about Marissa --
Angie: So what did you do?
Krystal: Woke up, finally. Woke up and walked out.
Angie: And David?
Krystal: He was a mess, and, Angie, I am not going to lie to you. It was not easy, but I finally realized that I just -- I can't save him. I mean, the Lord knows I tried, and in the process, I lost Tad and you and Jesse and Jenny.
Angie: Krystal, is there anything I can do?
Krystal: Yeah, pray that I have the strength to stay away.
Jesse: The good doctor hasn't given a statement yet.
Marissa: But two people have already been arraigned.
David: Oh, no, no, no, not just people, Marissa, friends. You see, it's a lot easier for the chief to play bad cop with people like me rather than be shunned by the so-called good citizens of Pine Valley. Am I right, Chief?
Jesse: You can come with me willingly, or I can cuff you. It's your call.
J.R.: I vote for option B.
David: Shut up.
J.R.: Oh, come on, everybody knows you want my dad dead. I saw you at the front gate with a loaded gun.
David: You know something? He's absolutely right, and why don't you tell the chief here what happened next? Go ahead, Junior. He knocked me out and stole it. You know, I have to admit I was pretty impressed, given your blood-alcohol level. Exactly how much Scotch did you guzzle that night, Junior? Maybe just enough to accidentally put a bullet in your uncle's back?
J.R.: Son of a bitch --
Jesse: All right! Everybody, out, now! Listen, I'm not going to tell you again, Junior. Take a walk. Take a nap. Take a pill. I don't care. You don't have to go home, but you get the hell up out of here. Let me do my job.
David: You got that? Or would you like us to get you an interpreter?
Jesse: You, come on.
Scott: Uh-uh. It's not worth it.
Zach: Let's go home and get some sleep.
Kendall: No, Zach, no, you've been with the baby all night.
Zach: I know, but we've got some talking to do. You know, girls and sports and stuff.
Kendall: Yeah, but you must be exhausted.
Zach: I'm good. I mean, you must be tired. Go home.
Ryan: Spike would love to see his mom for a little while.
Zach: Give him a kiss for me.
Kendall: Ok. Thank you. I love you, my sweet boy, and I will be back very soon. Don't let your dad keep you up all night.
Krystal: Marissa, what's wrong?
Marissa: It's David. Jessie Hubbard took him down to the station. They're eyeing him as a suspect in Stuart's murder.
Krystal: Well, you better call Stark, David's attorney.
Marissa: I tried. He's out of town. Look, I know that you want nothing to do with David, and I get that, but he needs our help. They're trying to nail him for a crime he didn't commit.
Krystal: How do you know he didn't do it?
Marissa: Because he told me. Krystal, he could go to prison.
Krystal: Don't count on it. David's done some awful things in his life, but he's rarely paid for them. Why should Stuart's murder be any different?
Liza: Hey, you guys. Is everything all right with the baby?
Jake: He's fine, just fine.
Amanda: Yeah, just hormone overload.
Liza: Oh, oh, this -- well, this can't be helping any.
Amanda: Yeah, yeah, well, you've had a delivery before. Any words of wisdom?
Liza: Oh, yeah, well, that was a long time ago. Tell you the truth, I'm kind of getting a little nervous myself.
Liza: Yeah, but you don't have anything to worry about. You've got this handsome doctor right here as your housemate. I'm sure he will be there for your every need.
Jake: Sure. You want some water? Sparkling, flat, milk?
Amanda: You know what? That reminds me. Excuse me. Fun having to pee every 12 seconds, isn't it?
Jake: You don't have to shove me down her throat, ok? Just because she's not ending up with the baby, you know, I'm not some kind of, you know, consolation prize.
Liza: Well, I don't have to shove you anywhere. It's obvious that you two are -- you're very together.
Jake: Well, you know, you don't know in this life. Right now, it's all about the baby, but when the baby comes, and the baby goes, it could be another story, and you never know.
Aidan: What happened?
Annie: I was stabbed. I guess what goes around comes around, huh?
Aidan: Annie, that's not funny. You should have had someone call me. You know what it feels like to hear about this on the news?
Annie: You know, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but I knew how you would react. I knew you would drop everything and come rushing over, like you did right now, and --
Aidan: And what's wrong with that? Annie, I care about you. I will always be here for you.
Annie: I know. And that's what scares me.
Kendall: That's a good thing, right, that David was brought in for questioning?
Ryan: Yes, definitely, a good thing.
Zach: Oh, I'm just thinking.
Kendall: I know, I know. I shouldn't get my hopes up. I'm sure David will find a way out of this, just like he does with everything else.
Zach: Maybe, maybe not. Are you up for a road trip?
Kendall: Where are you going? You're going to go to the police station? You guys are not going to be able to talk Jesse out of this. I mean, he's not going to let me off the hook just because you ask him to.
Zach: You're right.
Ryan: Not Jesse's call.
Zach: We have to go higher.
Jesse: Listen, I want you to take Fowler and head over to Doc Hayward's house. Grab some evidence bags, all right?
Officer: You got it.
Natalia: What are you looking for?
Jesse: A match for that print.
Marissa: Excuse me for interrupting, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal to search a house without a warrant.
Jesse: We got that taken care of, all right? Anything you find, I want you to bag it and bring it back here. Are we clear?
Natalia: Ok, clear.
Jesse: Go get 'em, Tiger.
[Jesse enters the interrogation room and sets a recorder in front of David]
Jesse: Red light means go.
David: Say what?
Jesse: Truth usually works with me.
David: The truth. All right, the truth. The people of this town want my head on a spit, and you're the one leading the charge.
Liza: So, but, listen, don't -- don't worry about your delivery. I'm sure everything is going to go just exactly how it's supposed to go.
Liza: Yeah, sure. Right?
Liza: Ok, I'll see you guys.
Krystal: Hi. I've been looking for you two everywhere.
Amanda: Why? What's wrong?
Krystal: David's been brought in for questioning about the night of Stuart's murder.
Amanda: Oh, my God. Jake, you know what that means. If David goes to prison --
Krystal: He won't be able to get near your baby.
[While getting her belongings out of the mansion, Colby finds an old drawing]
Colby: Ugh, ugh, ugh. Oh!
Adam's voice: That's why today is so important. The -- David Hayward's games don't count. Little Adam is going to decide. He's about the same age you were when Liza took off with you.
Colby: He's lucky he gets to choose now. I had to wait until I was 15, and it cost you a bundle in bail bonds and wrecked cars and lawyers' fees.
Adam: Oh, my word, yes. Best investment I ever made.
Colby: I'm glad I came home. I love being with you. But I was kind of hoping after all this time, Mom might come see me.
Adam: Thank you for choosing me.
[Adam walks into the foyer]
Adam: Colby? Did I hear something -- Colby? Where are you going?
Colby: Uh, anywhere, really, as long as it's far away from you.
Jesse: Hey, I'm just trying to find out what happened at the Chandlers' that night.
David: No, you're not. You're trying to pin a murder on me.
Jesse: Come on, David. There are a ton of fingers pointing right at you.
Jesse: So why don't you take me back to that night, what you saw, where you were when the gun went off?
David: I believe I have the right to an attorney present.
Jesse: And I thought innocent men didn't need attorneys.
David: Oh, they do when they're being railroaded.
Marissa: Oh, what the hell's the point of having someone on retainer if they never answer their phone? He shouldn't be in there alone.
J.R.: Why do you care? Seriously. You don't even know the guy, and what you do know about him, you should be running for cover instead of defending that SOB.
Scott: Ok, that's enough, J.R.
J.R.: Enough? Hayward killed Uncle Stuart.
Marissa: But there is no proof of that.
J.R.: Don't you want justice, Scott?
Scott: But, of course, I want justice. I hate that -- I hate what happened to my father. I can't walk two feet in this town without being reminded of him.
J.R.: Then why are you standing here listening to this?
Scott: Attacking Marissa won't bring him back.
J.R.: Really? Neither will buying her lies.
Scott: Ahem. Sorry.
Marissa: Look, don't. Ok, J.R.'s right. You should hate me. For all you know, I'm trying to help the man who shot your father.
Scott: Do you think David did it?
Marissa: Not anymore. But saying I'm in the minority on that would be a massive understatement. What about you? Do you think --
Scott: I don't know what to think anymore. I want to make this over. I can still feel him. My dad. Whenever I -- whenever I look up at the moon or I -- I see sunlight bouncing off of the trash can.
Marissa: Trash can?
Scott: Yeah, that man found the beauty in everything. I just want him to have peace. I owe him --
Jesse: Dr. Hayward is asking for his lawyer.
Marissa: Yeah, I've tried calling his office. He's out until Friday, and he's not picking up his phone.
Jesse: Well, I can call in a public defender.
Liza: Yeah, that won't be necessary. No, David's always preferred a more personal touch. I'd like to be the one to give it to him.
Annie: It doesn't matter how much progress I've made. I am still going to have to pay for the crimes that I've committed, and we don't know how long that is going to be for.
Aidan: We'll get through it together, all right?
Annie: Yeah, but see, that's just it, Aidan. You shouldn't have to. You shouldn't have to put your life on hold. You shouldn't have to wait for me. I know, though, that you will never walk away, which is why I have to do it for you.
Aidan: Are you being serious right now?
Annie: I'm sorry, but I honestly believe that this is what's right.
Aidan: What's right for who?
Annie: You deserve so much more.
Aidan: Annie, what I deserve is up to me to decide. Is it not?
Annie: Officer? Will you, please, show Mr. Devane to the elevator?
Aidan: Come on. Annie, don't do this.
Annie: Goodbye, Aidan.
Adam: Colby, I can explain about the letters.
Colby: What's to explain? Mom wrote to me, said she loved me, missed me, everything I needed to hear. You knew that, and you kept them from me anyway. You had me believe Mom didn't care.
Adam: No, that's not true.
Colby: Yes, it is.
Adam: Your mother kept you for 13 years, and I -- I just wanted to love you without her infernal interruptions.
Colby: Well, you had your chance, and you blew it.
Adam: No, don't -- don't go. We can work this out.
Colby: How? The last three years have been a total lie.
Adam: You mean everything to me. I've never lied about that.
Colby: I used to feel so bad for you that Mom just took me away.
Adam: Yeah. I don't think I could survive if that happened again.
Colby: Nobody is taking me, Dad. I'm leaving. And this time, it's all on you.
Liza: Hi, I'm Liza Colby.
Marissa: Marissa Tasker.
Liza: I'm an attorney, and I'm an old friend of David's, and I would be happy to help.
Marissa: Great. He could use all the help he can get.
Liza: May I see my client?
Jesse: Knock yourself out.
Liza: Thank you.
Jesse: With a baseball bat.
Liza: Hello, David.
Mr. North: Long day, gentlemen. Excuse me.
Zach: That's ok. It won't take long.
Ryan: Yeah, we heard that Hayward is being questioned as a suspect in the Chandler murder.
Zach: So why is Kendall still being charged?
Mr. North: Because I have more than enough evidence to put her away. Her finger's on the weapon. She lied to police. She's got no alibi, and she's been placed at the scene of the crime by multiple eyewitnesses. Recanted statements or not --
Zach: What about Hayward? You had evidence on him.
Mr. North: But not the kind I have on your ex-wife -- sorry, "wife." Congratulations, by the way.
Zach: Thank you.
Ryan: Do you have any idea what kind of man Hayward is?
Mr. North: That's really none of my concern, just like my job and how I do it is none of yours.
Zach: Isn't it funny? Maybe it's just me. I thought DA was an elected position.
Ryan: You know, last I checked, it was, and I'm sure you want to get back into office, right? You might want to work on your people skills a little bit.
Mr. North: Save the threats. See, I get paid to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone's guilty of murder, and, in this case, that someone is not hard to find. You thought you were clever, huh, marrying Ms. Hart to keep from testifying? What you didn't know is that it doesn't matter. You can stay mute. You can lie on the stand. The damage is done. I have a case.
Ryan: So Hayward walks?
Mr. North: The facts speak for themselves. You know what they say? Your wife killed Stuart Chandler.
Kendall: Do you ever sleep?
Angie: Graveyard shift again, thanks to David Hayward. So, listen, if you want to take a break, let me know, because I'd be real happy to sit with the little guy.
Kendall: Thank you, but with this trial coming up, I don't want to miss a second.
Angie: Don't give up hope, Kendall.
Kendall: I'm trying not to. If this thing with David would just pan out, it would be great.
Angie: What thing?
Kendall: Well, the night of the murder when I was -- when I was at the Chandler house, I was running, and I tripped over something. At the time, I had no idea what it was, but it turns out that it had to be David.
Angie: Did you tell Jesse?
Kendall: Well, his Forensics team found a man's footprint, so if it's a match, it would prove that David lied about not getting past the Chandler gate.
Angie: And open up another top suspect.
Kendall: Yes, and right about now, that sounds really good.
Angie: David Hayward out of our lives? That's better than good. That's heaven.
David: If you're here to get your licks in, the flogging line starts behind the chief.
Liza: Well, David, we can talk about how rough you like it later, but right now, I think we need to focus on your case.
David: I'm sorry, and you became a lawyer when?
Liza: David, it's been a long time.
David: I can see that.
Liza: Do you want my help or not?
David: I guess that depends. Why are you doing this? And, please, don't tell me it's out of the goodness of your heart.
Liza: Well, at least I have a heart, which is a lot more than most people say about you, but I'm here to prove them wrong.
Ryan: The guy is out for blood.
Zach: The election's coming up. He can't afford to make mistakes.
Ryan: Like wrongly accusing Erica Kane's daughter of murder.
Zach: Yeah, that's why he won't pursue the Hayward thing.
Ryan: Because if Hayward did it, he's going to look like an ass. What do we tell Kendall?
Zach: Nothing yet.
Ryan: Well, she deserves to know something.
Zach: She's scared enough as it is. We'll keep it between us.
Angie: Hey. Listen, I made a call, and David is still being questioned. Looks like it's going to be a while.
Kendall: Waiting, something I've gotten very good at.
Angie: I think this is the perfect time for you to meet someone.
Angie: Kendall, this is Dr. Sloane. He's a cardiothoracic surgeon at Seaview Hospital.
Kendall: Hi. It's nice to meet you.
Dr. Sloane: Likewise.
Angie: I called Dr. Sloane to consult on Ian's case.
Dr. Sloane: Do you mind if I have a look?
Kendall: Please. So what does this mean?
Angie: Listen, Ian's not going to be able to stay on ecmo forever. Now, this is only a temporary fix until he's strong enough to receive another heart-valve surgery.
Angie: So if David goes to prison, God willing, you are going to need another surgeon.
Kendall: Well, I think we want another surgeon anyway.
Angie: Well, Dr. Sloane has an excellent reputation, one of the best in the country.
Kendall: Angie, thank you so much for looking into this. Really.
Kendall: But I'm still stuck on the part "if" David goes to prison. I mean, that's a huge if. There's still no evidence against him yet.
Angie: Sweetheart, look, you are just going to have to stay positive.
Kendall: How? This is David Hayward we're talking about.
Angie: Exactly. And that man has pulled so much crap that he is long overdue for a karmic kick in his ass.
Liza: You and I are a lot alike, David.
David: This, I got to hear.
Liza: Well, we both went up against Adam and lost. We've both been vilified for trying to protect our children, in your case, your grandchild.
David: That's not over yet. I'm still determined to get custody over Little Adam some day.
Liza: Not if you're hauled off to prison. And I know what it's like, have the whole world against you.
David: [Chuckles] Sweetheart, you ain't seen nothing yet, not if you're determined to take my case.
Liza: Well, I don't care what anyone thinks except for Colby.
David: Well, she's not going to like it any more than her daddy will.
Liza: Oh, she will understand. Believe me, I will get her to understand. I've lost her once, and I will never do it again.
David: Maybe we do have something in common.
Liza: Is that a yes?
David: Are you sure you want to take this? Stress isn't good for the baby.
Liza: David, I know exactly what is good for my baby, ok?
David: Ok. Where do we start?
Liza: Well, Jesse Hubbard has a warrant. He's searching your place right now, so be straight with me, David. Is there a possibility that he will find anything?
Jesse: Hello, again.
Mr. North: Print in question at the Chandler estate is a match to a shoe in your house.
Jesse: So you care to tell me what you were doing near that terrace?
Amanda: Ah, David Hayward locked up for life? If I could drink champagne, I would be wasted right now.
Jake: Well, you can't, pregnant lady, so just eat your ice cream.
Amanda: How are you not more excited right now? This is what we've been hoping for, Jake. David Hayward out of our lives for good.
Jake: Because, honey, he's not locked up yet. Anytime we ever got close to nailing the guy, he slithers away.
Amanda: Ok, Debbie Downer.
Jake: Oh, I am not. Don't you call me that. Don't you scream at me. Don't you call me names.
Amanda: I have to. Since I was pregnant, my stomach has been in knots, and so this is like the first time that it feels really good. So just give me, like, five seconds to enjoy it, ok?
Jake: Sure, one 1,000, five 1,000. Now what?
Colby: Maybe I should stay.
Adam: Now you're making sense.
J.R.: No, she's not. You should move in with Corrina. I think it's a great idea.
Colby: But what about Little A? I'm the closest thing he's got to a mom.
J.R.: Little a will be fine. You should do it. This is your chance. Take it.
Adam: Are you insane? Are you insane? This is your sister. She should be under this roof with her family.
J.R.: Oh, here we go, all in the name of the family.
Adam: Yeah, that's right. You may not agree with all the choices I've made, but every one of them I made for you. All I care about is what's best for my children.
J.R.: What's best? How is keeping us from our mothers what's best? Colby wants to leave for the same reasons that I took off to San Diego. You control your children's lives with a stranglehold.
Colby: It's not normal.
J.R.: Or healthy for any of us. Please, Dad. Let her go. She needs this.
Adam: Well, you'll always have a home and a father who loves you.
Jake: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I am not a party-pooper.
Amanda: Too late, you are. I'm going to start calling you "Master P.P." for short.
Jake: No, no, well, I've been not -- well, that's a terrible thing. "Master P.P."? "Master P.P."?
Amanda: Well, come on, Jake. Then just dream with me, just for a second, all right? Just picture David carted off to some cell, ok? Do you know that means we could -- we could stop all this craziness? We could keep the baby.
Jake: You just -- you just said "we."
Amanda: Well, yeah. I mean, well, don't you want to --
Jake: Marry you?
Amanda: No, I -- I didn't say that.
Jake: No, um, I said it. Marry me.
Jake: You just said, "Yes."
Jake: I said, "Marry me." You said, "Yes."
Jake: You said, "Yes." You said, "Yes."
Marissa: Hey. I didn't think you'd come.
Krystal: Me, neither. I tried to forget our conversation, but I couldn't.
Marissa: Because of David?
Krystal: Because of you. Your voice reminded me a lot of when I defended David. I'm -- I'm worried about you, ok?
Marissa: Don't be. I told you why I'm doing this, for Amanda's baby and Little A.
Krystal: I'll buy that's what got it started, but that's not what's going on right now. You are helping David for one reason, and that's to get closer to him.
Jesse: Let's try this again. What were you doing on Chandler's property that night?
Liza: Don't answer that. My client does not have to answer that.
David: It's all right. I'll tell them what they want to know.
J.R.: You ok?
Adam: Everyone I love leaves, Lottie, my brother, Skye, Hayley, Colby.
J.R.: Well, I'm still here.
Adam: Not because you want to be. My whole world is disintegrating around me, and I only have myself to blame.
J.R.: Blame Hayward. The police are starting to. Yeah. Jesse took David in for questioning. They think he could have shot Uncle Stuart.
Adam: That should have been me lying on that floor. It would have been if it hadn't been for Annie.
J.R.: Oh, yes, that's right, your new BFF. What the hell's going on with you two anyway?
Adam: She saved my life. Not -- not that I deserved it, of course. But I know it's too late to bring Stuart back, but maybe I could learn from his examples. Maybe, thanks to Annie, I might even get a shot at redemption.
[Annie gasps and winces in pain]
[Annie whimpers as she presses the nurse's button]
Annie: Ah! Officer? Ugh. Hello?
[When no one comes immediately, Annie gets out of bed]
Annie: Ah! Hello? Ow!
[As sirens blare outside, Annie sees her guard sleeping and his gun exposed]
Kendall: How did it go with the DA?
Zach: Well, he --
Angie: We've got good news.
Dr. Sloane: I'm comfortable with Ian's condition at this point. I think your son's ready for surgery.
Kendall: Really? You can get him off of this machine? You -- you can fix his heart?
