Jesse: Where's Annie, Aidan? This isn't the first time you went undercover to help her escape -- is it, Mr. Stone? You need to listen to me. This ain't Oak Haven. You don't have an inside man here. Here, I'm the man. You need to start thinking about yourself.
J.R.: We need to move. I want this prototype within the week.
Dr. Chappell: No, that's impossible. If we rush this, we're --
J.R.: If we don't, we're done. We need to ram this thing through a trial and get it on the market ASAP.
Dr. Chappell: Hold on. Potentially compromise patients for profit? I'm sorry. I won't do that.
J.R.: Oh, come on, Doc. You didn't spend all these years developing a better heart valve, because it was the nice thing to do. You did it because you wanted the fame, the recognition, money. There's no shame in that. Hell, I want lots of money, so let's drop this noble act and start talking timetable.
Dr. Chappell: I'm finished here.
J.R.: Sit down. My father and I saved you. If it wasn't for our financial backing, you'd be stuck with my loser cousin, Scott, spinning wheels while somebody else grabs the glory and the profit. You need to listen to what we say -- 'cause we own you -- you and your idea.
Scott: Hey, thanks for the tour, man.
Jake: No problem. No, it's just really nice to see somebody care about the patients as opposed to just worrying about how to get rich off them.
Scott: You know, this valve is going to save a lot of lives.
Jake: Yeah, about that. Uh, what about a trial?
Scott: Well, we're all set with funding -- thank you, Uncle Adam -- and we are almost ready for the prototype. All we need now is a surgeon. You interested?
David: Why settle for mediocrity when you can have one of the best? For the right price, of course.
Angie: Hey, sweetie. I'm glad you could meet me.
Tad: Are you kidding? It's one of the fringe benefits of living with half your family tree. There's no shortage of babysitters.
Angie: Listen, has Krystal been by to see Jenny lately?
Tad: No, it's kind of strange as a matter of fact. I've been calling her, leaving messages. I haven't seen her since the custody, you know, battle. I thought maybe she just needed some time alone.
Angie: You know, I haven't been able to reach her either, and frankly I'm getting worried. So is David.
Tad: Please, the only thing he's worried about is why she turned on him in court.
Angie: You know, it doesn't make any sense. Krystal, she -- she worked so hard to make everybody think she loves David.
Krystal: I do love him, not that it matters. He'll never forgive me after what I've done.
Randi: Ok, which one do you think is hotter? This one or --
Natalia: All right, hold it right there.
Randi: Natalia, --
Natalia: Hold --
Randi: What are you doing?
Natalia: Skills test at the academy next week. I'm trying to get this whole cuff and stuff thing down.
Randi: Hmm. All right, well, it might help you to actually practice on a person. Arrest me.
Natalia: Are you serious?
Randi: Yeah, of course. I've been downtown plenty. I know the drill. Let's see what you got.
Natalia: Ok, turn around.
Randi: I'm a criminal, remember? You've got to treat me like one.
Natalia: All right. Turn around, punk. Hands behind your head. Turn around. Ugh. Oh, my -- ugh.
Randi: Want to go again?
Jesse: You're looking at some serious charges here, Devane. Aiding and abetting an escaped murderer? Judges tend not to like that too much. Listen, if you play ball, hell us bring Annie in, the DA will cut you a deal. Suspended sentence for her whereabouts -- her real whereabouts this time. Think about it. This offer expires real soon.
Ryan: What do you mean "nothing?" He knows where Annie is, Jesse.
Jesse: Well, he's not giving it up, Ryan.
Jack: Because he has the right to remain silent. You weren't planning on allowing that right to be violated, were you, Chief?
Angie: I, uh, ran into David at the hospital, and he asked me to give you a message.
Krystal: I'll bet.
Angie: He said to tell you he loves you.
Tad: You believed him? The only thing he cares about is Little Adam, and now that he's lost the custody fight, he can stop pretending that the marriage is anything else but a show for --
Krystal: That -- that's not true, ok? David and I found each other through grief, but we stayed together because of love. He gave me his heart, and I broke it.
Tad: Well, you said you didn't have a choice.
Krystal: You know what? It doesn't matter. We're finished, and it's -- it's time to move on. In fact, that's -- that's why I'm here. I -- I really want to get my stuff out of Wildwind, and I don't want to go there by myself. I was hoping maybe you could come and help me.
Tad: You know what? Wait, wait, wait. I'll do it. I'll go over there right now. I'll get your stuff. I'll meet you back at my house, because if you're serious about moving on, the first thing you've got to do is stay the hell away from Hayward.
Jake: You ready to get out of here?
David: Your uncle's company was sold -- half of it, ok? The money went into that heart valve. We're talking a fortune, Scott, his legacy. All that money going into that tiny, delicate device. So if I, or at least someone of my caliber, doesn't perform the initial surgery, Adam's company will go belly up along with the poor sap that goes under the knife. Now are you really willing to take that kind of risk? So, as I said, I'm happy to help on one condition -- put my name on the valve.
Scott: You're so jealous you didn't think of the idea yourself, that first you try to steal my schematics, and now you want to scare me into letting you be a part of this. It's pathetic.
Jake: No, you have to forgive Dr. Hayward. He has a habit of sticking his nose into other people's business.
David: Mm-hmm, and Dr. Martin has delusions of being a surgeon, to this hospital's detriment. Now, I operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so if you want to schedule --
Scott: I -- the answer is no. I don't want a doctor who's all about the money.
David: This has nothing to do with money, but I'm sure you've heard the expression "you get what you pay for." You hire an amateur like Martin, you'll be lucky if the valve doesn't end up in the patient's ear.
Scott: I'll talk to you soon.
David: Think about it.
Jake: "In the patient's ear."
David: Or some other orifice, right?
Jake: You know, you are so arrogant I think we're going to need to build another wing just for your head.
David: Ah, yeah, well, I'm sorry if the truth hurts, Doctor.
Jake: Dave, you know there are a lot of good surgeons out there.
David: I'm not challenging that. You're just not one of them. So face it, Doctor. I'm everything you will never be -- skilled surgeon and the father of Amanda's baby.
J.R.: You're getting a very sweet deal.
Dr. Chappell: No, I didn't sign up for this. I'll find another investor.
J.R.: In this economy? Good luck. Let's say you did get another investor. It wouldn't matter. We'd have that patent tied up in court for decades. Think of all the lives that would be lost -- mothers, fathers, babies. You don't want to hang that on your conscience, do you?
Dr. Chappell: Fine. The patent, the prototype valve, it's all yours. I just want out.
J.R.: How much?
Dr. Chappell: It's all you corporate types ever think about, isn't it? The bottom line. All right then, what's your best offer?
Natalia: Ooh. Why did Frankie even ask me to move in while he's away? You can obviously take care of yourself.
Randi: Yeah, well, I learned on the street, Natalia. I didn't really have a choice. There's a lot of slime out there.
Natalia: Yeah, that I'm supposed to be cleaning up. And how can I if I can't even take down my own sister-in-law?
Randi: Calm down. You just need practice.
Natalia: Yeah, or a new career. Do you think I can be the new face of Fusion?
Randi: Ok, after about five minutes of that, you'd head running right back to the police academy. How's that going anyway? Is the chief's daughter getting special treatment?
Natalia: Oh, yeah. Real special -- extra sit-ups, extra push-ups, extra sprints. I mean, they work me harder than anyone there, but, you know, when I'm bent over out of breath wandering why I got myself into it, I just think about my dad and my mom. I just -- I really want to make him proud, you know?
Randi: You do.
Natalia: I don't know. If Chief Hubbard saw the way you just dropped me --
Randi: Oh, stop it. Jesse lights up every single time he mentions your name, and so does Frankie.
Natalia: Have you talked to him lately?
Randi: Yes. I've got a date tonight.
Natalia: You and my brother?
Natalia: At the Iraq multiplex?
Randi: No, at the Yacht Club. We're celebrating our one month wedding anniversary.
Randi: You'd be surprised what you could do with a webcam.
Ryan: You're not representing Aidan, are you?
Jack: Yes, I am. Everybody has the right to a legal counsel, Ryan. Look, I've searched my heart. I honestly believe that Greenlee would want me to help him.
Ryan: Annie tried to kill Greenlee.
Ryan: Jack, she should be in a mental institution, ok? And she's not because Aidan helped her escape.
Jesse: Take it easy.
Ryan: And you're defending him? No, I'm not going to take it easy. She kidnapped my daughter twice, and Aidan helped her do that, ok? And now she's out there waiting for a chance to do again.
Jack: Ryan, you don't know that.
Ryan: Yes, I do know that, Jack. I do.
Jack: Let me just hear Aidan's side of the story, ok?
Ryan: He's lied to you, right? Several times about this. He's lying to me. He's in love with her, which means he will go to any extent to help her. I'm trying to protect my daughter, Jesse.
Jesse: Your daughter is protected. She is safe.
Ryan: No, she's not. Trust me. I know. Not with Annie on the loose, she's not safe.
Jesse: You need to take a walk. Go somewhere. Clear your head. I don't care where you go. Just stay away from that room, you hear me?
J.R.: Pleasure doing business with you.
Scott: You didn't tell me we had a meeting.
J.R.: Wait a second. You can have private meetings with these two, but I can't?
Scott: Could someone explain what's going on?
J.R.: I'm closing a deal. Watch and learn. Your money's being wired to you as we speak. Have a nice vacation. I hear Bermuda's beautiful this time of year.
Scott: Money? You -- you sold your interest in the valve?
J.R.: Yeah, we got the recession especiale -- 2 mil.
Scott: Once we get FDA approval, the big corporations will offer us ten times that.
Dr. Chappell: I never cared about the money.
Scott: You can't let them pressure you.
Dr. Chappell: It's no use fighting them. If you're smart, you'll follow my lead. Break ties with these sharks before they eat you alive.
Scott: You son of a -- that valve was his life's work, and you low ball him and cut him out?
J.R.: He was having problems making deadlines.
Scott: This isn't a race.
J.R.: Really? Have you seen the market lately? You're all about the doctor and his life's work. What about my father and everything he's worked for? Now your gadget better turn profit, or Chandler's finished.
Scott: Back me up here. Tell him that the goal is to save lives and not make a quick buck.
Adam: There's a way to do both. You two had better find it.
Angie: What are you going to do?
Krystal: Well, I guess I'll stay at Valley Inn until I find a place. You know, there's a part of me that just wants to leave and never come back, but, you know, I -- I have Jenny, I have Little a, and they need me.
Angie: I was talking about David.
Krystal: It's over.
Angie: Are you sure?
Krystal: You know, even if somehow, someway, he forgave me, he -- he would want an answer. He would want to know why I turned on him, and I just cannot tell him the truth.
Angie: David tried to wreck my life and all the people that I care about. I don't like him, and I sure as hell don't trust him, but what I saw in his eyes, the concern for you, it was real. I really believe he loves you, Krystal, and it's obvious that you love him, so how important is this secret?
Jake: You are like a broken record, Dave. Why can't you just stay out of Amanda's life?
David: This is so cute. You always leap to her defense. This must be so fun for the two of you, playing this big game that you're playing -- the expectant mom, the doting dad, both of you living together like one big happy family.
Amanda: Why can't you just leave us alone?
David: No, you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but even you know the answer to that one. Do you honestly think I'm going to let you play house with my child?
Jake: It's also Amanda's child.
David: My grandson is being raised by a pack of morons, so I will do everything I have to to make sure that this child doesn't suffer the same fate. So, go ahead, enjoy your little charade while you can. Once this child is born, it's back to Kansas, Dorothy. I'll have my child, and you'll have nothing.
Jack: If you keep quiet, the DA is going to come at us hard. We'll fight back hard, but I can make you no guarantees. Now, if you tell the police everything you know, I can guarantee you there will be no prison time.
Aidan: For me.
Aidan: But Annie goes to prison for the rest of her life. No, Jack, I'm not -- I'm not going to send her back to Oak Haven or any other hellhole they want to put her in. She doesn't deserve that.
Jack: She did kill her own brother.
Aidan: The way he tortured her since they were kids, you have no idea. He had it coming.
Jack: Maybe, but Richie wasn't her only victim now, was he? Do I have to list for you the other serious crimes this woman has committed, Aidan?
Aidan: I know everything she's done.
Aidan: I know why she did it and so does she.
Jack: Well, don't you think it would be a good idea if she came back here and straightened all this out, turned herself in, stood trial?
Aidan: Stand trial? She's innocent. I -- I know nobody out there thinks she is. That's why she had to go away. That's why I helped her go somewhere where she can finish getting the treatment that she needs.
Jack: See if I understand this. So you're saying that Annie's not responsible for anything that she's done? Not the murders, not the kidnapping, nothing?
Aidan: She was confused, all right? The past was jumbled in her head, and it made her do terrible things. She's not confused anymore, all right? She knows the answers now. She -- she knows the truth, and she's done hurting people.
Jack: Certainly you can understand why Ryan feels the way he does. His daughter Emma was missing for weeks. Where did they find her? With Annie. Annie took her. Now what's to stop her from trying that again, Aidan?
Aidan: Annie knows she can't be with Emma, here or anywhere else. She's not coming back.
Jack: How can you know that for sure?
Aidan: Because I wasn't just helping her escape. I was planning to go with her.
J.R.: Don't blow this.
Scott: Stop. This is just like you. Always looking for the easy way out. Little rich boy throwing around Daddy's cash, never mind who gets stepped on.
J.R.: Are you kidding me? You've been blowing through my dad's money for years. At least I made something of myself. I had a great wife, I have a great son, a job. What do you got other than a degree in nothingness and a company that you tanked?
Scott: I have something you never will -- the potential to make a difference in people's lives.
J.R.: Really. What's potential like for you at night in bed instead of saving lives, you might want to try to get one.
Amanda: What are we going to do? David is not going to stop until he gets this baby.
Jake: Easy, easy. Take it easy.
Amanda: The devil wants my baby, and you want me to take it easy?
Jake: Well, I don't think that getting upset is going to help you or the child, ok?
Amanda: Stop. You're not the father. I'm sorry, I -- but David has a point. We can't keep going on pretending to be some normal couple. We're not.
Jake: Who wants -- who wants to be normal?
Amanda: I got knocked up and sucked you into my nightmare. It's completely unfair.
Jake: Well, I told you that I -- I don't ever put myself where I don't want to be.
Amanda: You don't deserve to fight my battles with David. It's only going to get worse. He lost Little A, Krystal can't have any more babies, and you -- you don't deserve this. Just ditch me and go back to your life.
Jake: No. No, I -- I like being with you.
Amanda: It was such a huge mistake, us getting so close. It only makes it that much harder, at least for me. I have to move out of Tad's, Pine Valley. I should move some place close to the adoptive parents until this baby is born.
Jake: No, no. We stick to the plan, ok? And when you're ready to give birth, we will be far, far away from here, and we'll make David believe that the baby is dead, and that baby will be safe with its new family, ok?
Amanda: What if it doesn't work?
Jake: It's going to work.
Amanda: I can't think of anything else.
Jake: Well, quite frankly, I'm a little disappointed because you really should be worried about something a lot more important. Lunch. How about -- how about a little lunch?
David: You Martins just don't understand the meaning of boundaries, do you? What did you do, pick the lock?
Tad: No, Krystal gave me the key.
David: You saw Krystal?
Tad: Yeah, but don't worry. In a couple bags, you'll never have to deal with her again.
David: Well, where is she? Is she -- is she all right?
Tad: That's none of your business.
David: Don't give me that nonsense. I'm still her husband.
Tad: Not for long you're not -- now that she's seen the light.
David: Uh, you know, I don't know what kind of fantasy camp you're running at your place, but Krystal loves me. She's not about to bail out on our marriage.
Tad: You know, not too long ago I said those exact same words, and then I found out she was keeping a secret, something so huge I couldn't get past it.
David: You see, well, that's you all over, Tad. I don't give a damn what Adam has over Krystal's head. In fact, I could kill him for trying to blackmail her. I mean, if that bastard thinks he's going to steal my grandson and my wife, no way in hell, so you just tell Krystal that we'll work it out. Tell her I love her too much to let one secret ruin everything.
Randi: Say that again?
Frankie: 6,000 miles away? I just have to say this is not how I planned on or even begin to imagine us spending our anniversary.
Randi: I know, but we're together, sort of, in a way, and you're safe. That works for me.
Frankie: Yeah, well, I had something else in mind.
Randi: Tell me. Like what? If you were home right now --
Frankie: We'd wake up in each other's arms. Oh! Then I'd bring you breakfast in bed. We'd spend the whole day outside. We'd go down by the pier and have a nice, long walk by the water. We'd stop for a triple scoop of pistachio ice cream.
Randi: My favorite.
Frankie: And then we'd watch the sunset. And then we'd go to a fantastic dinner.
Randi: Sounds perfect.
Frankie: There's more. After dinner, we'd head back to the crib, and the entire place would be decked out with candles. And then I'd pop a bottle and toast to my beautiful wife. And then I'd hold you close. And I'd kiss your neck, your shoulders, your lips --
Randi: Um, we need a few more minutes. Go on.
Jake: Lobster roll, we've got mango papaya cinnamon crepes and surf and turf. I don't know. You know, I think I'm just going to order one of each one of those.
Amanda: What happened to eating more salad?
Jake: Well, I -- you know, I'm supporting the team here.
Amanda: By stuffing your face.
Jake: Well, what are you going to -- I know what you're going to order. You're going to have a -- what, a bacon cheeseburger, double bacon, extra pickles, you've got a little mayonnaise on there, and then what's going to happen? You're going to get an upset tummy, you're going to get insomnia, you're going to be up all night, you're going to watch three movies in a row, and they're going to have lines in it like, "I didn't know he was so sick. How could I have known?" I'm not going to miss that. I want to be there for that.
Amanda: Wow, indigestion and insomnia in front of a sad movie marathon, that's your idea of a good time.
Jake: Yes -- oh, and I also need some of those cocoa bites and those cheesy puffs and some of those beef nib nibs.
Amanda: You are insane. And incredibly sweet. I don't know many guys that would give up a good night's sleep for antacid and a sad movie. At least not the ones I've met. How did I get so lucky?
Jake: I'm the lucky one.
Krystal: Hey, did you talk to David?
Tad: Yeah, unfortunately. Where's Jenny?
Krystal: Angie is putting her down. She was kind of missing not having little a around, so I just figured... So what did you and David talk about?
Tad: Not much. You know what? I'm going to take this stuff upstairs. Now listen. I know it's going to be tight for a while, but I don't want you to worry. You know, Kathy can sleep on the daybed in my room until we find you your own place.
Krystal: Tad. What did David say?
Tad: Well, I'm pretty sure it was the same line of bull that he fed Angie. Just sat there lying through his teeth, that he didn't care what happened in court and how he just loves his wife, and he wants her back.
Krystal: What if that's not a lie?
Tad: It wouldn't change a damn thing. He's still the same David Hayward.
Krystal: That's what I'm counting on.
Tad: Krystal, this is huge. This is huge. I mean, you're finally out of that house. You're moving in the right direction. You want to get your life back together. You cannot turn around and go back.
Krystal: He wants to save our marriage.
Tad: No, no, he wants you. He wants to use you all over again in whatever sick scheme he comes up with next time.
Krystal: I crushed him in court without even saying why, so if he can find a way to forgive me --
Tad: Forgive -- he should forgive you? Are you kidding? All he has done is manipulate you from the moment he set foot back in Pine Valley. First it was Babe's death. He used your grief against you to get close to you. And now, because he's lost Little Adam, he's going to try to use that to suck you in, too. You can't feel sorry for him.
Krystal: His wife stabbed him in the back. He didn't deserve to be hurt like that.
Tad: If anybody deserved it, he does. Believe me. Besides, you didn't have any problems at all stabbing your first two husbands in the back.
Krystal: I know I shouldn't --
Tad: Ok, all right. I didn't... That was below the belt. I'm sorry. I apologize. I just -- it kills me that you can't see that you're the person that's getting hurt. He's already taken enough from you.
Krystal: Not as much as I've taken from him.
Tad: I know how hard it was for you get up on that witness stand, to do what you did, to say what you had to say, but you did the right thing because it was the truth. He is every bit the monster that you described.
Krystal: Tad, you're wrong. There is a side to him that you --
Krystal: You just haven't seen, all right? Angie has seen it.
Tad: Oh, please, which side is that? David, the kind, the compassionate, the sweetheart that got you hooked on drugs, and then lost you custody of Jenny? You mean that David? And you, you of all people, what -- now all of a sudden you're David's mouthpiece? Running love letters back and forth? He nearly destroyed your career, Angela. How can you possibly defend him?
Angie: You listen to me. I despise David. I just -- I despise him, but his personal life? That is not my concern or yours.
Tad: Oh, so in other words you just -- you don't care what happens to Krystal. You don't care if she gets hurt.
Angie: Of course, I do, but have you noticed? She's a grown woman. She decides what she wants, and if that's David, then we have to accept her choice.
Tad: [Scoffs] He's been drugging you, too? I am begging you, don't go back.
Krystal: I have to. I know it might seem irrational to you.
Tad: It seems insane. You don't owe that jerk a damn thing.
Krystal: I owe him an explanation.
Frankie: Even though I may not be able to take you home after this, I still want to make a toast.
Frankie: I won't lie to you. Being here is tough, real tough. But I wake up with a smile on my face every morning, because I've been dreaming about you. We've only been married for a month, but in my heart I've always been with you. I'll always love you. And I'll keep loving you until --
Frankie. Happy anniversary.
Scott: He's a fool.
Randi: Excuse me?
Scott: Any guy that would stand you up has got to be a complete idiot.
Randi: Yeah, well, it's not his fault.
Scott: Yeah, right. What lame excuse did he give you this time? Cat got pneumonia, stuck in traffic?
Randi: He got redeployed to Iraq.
Scott: That's -- that's not so lame.
Scott: Yeah. What's the occasion?
Randi: Oh, it's our one-month wedding anniversary, and we were just celebrating with a web camera date. But then I lost connection.
Scott: It must be tough not having him around, though. Especially being newlyweds and all.
Randi: You ever been married?
Scott: Haven't even come close. I guess I'm not spouse material.
Randi: Yeah, well, that's what I thought until I -- until I met -- I'm sorry.
Scott: Don't be. You know what? I'm not having the greatest day myself. And you know what they say. Misery loves company.
Randi: And chocolate cake?
Randi: How about dessert?
Scott: Only if you let me buy. It's the least I can do after crashing your cyber date.
Jack: The deal's on the table. How much you tell the police, everything or nothing, that's -- that's your call.
Aidan: I'm -- I'm not going to take a deal. I'm not doing it.
Jack: I'll see what I can do about bail.
Ryan: Well, Jack, did you find -- did you find out where Annie is?
Ryan: Don't -- don't give me any of that attorney-client privilege crap, ok? My daughter's life could be in danger here. And I know you know where I'm coming from, Jack.
Jack: I can tell you this much. Emma is safe. Aidan told me that Annie has left the country.
Ryan: And she's not coming back -- it's bull, Jack. It's not possible. Annie wouldn't leave Emma like that.
Jesse: Annie was just spotted in London, boarding a flight heading to the Maldives.
Ryan: Well, then -- then go and get her.
Jesse: We can't, Ryan. They don't have an extradition treaty with us.
Ryan: So there's nothing you can do at all?
Jesse: Well, we can keep an eye on her. As soon as she sets foot back on US soil, we nab her.
Ryan: And what about him?
Jack: Well, Aidan's about to make bail.
Ryan: If anything happens to my daughter, I am going to hold you responsible.
Aidan: Annie's gone, and she's not coming back.
Ryan: The cops may be watching her, but I'm going to be watching you, Aidan.
Adam: You never cease to amaze me.
J.R.: I know.
Adam: How were you able to avoid following the simple set of instructions that you were to work with Scott, not blindside him every chance you get?
J.R.: I just made the deal of the century.
Adam: And yet your cousin didn't know about it.
J.R.: Why are you so hell-bent on bringing Scott on board at Chandler? He has zero business sense. He ran his company into the ground. You want him to do the same thing with Chandler?
Adam: We are practically rubble already.
J.R.: And that's my fault?
Adam: Well, your nosedive into a bottle didn't help.
J.R.: I'm sober, I haven't had a drink in weeks, and I don't intend to.
Adam: Yeah, well, let's hope you can stick to that plan.
J.R.: Or otherwise you're going to come up with another one, like, uh, hand the reins over to Scottie-boy?
Adam: We'll let that be an incentive to keep your head clear. Someone has to.
Randi: Ok, I can't eat another bite of this.
Scott: Well, then, I guess you're not as miserable as you said you were.
Randi: I am so.
Scott: Prove it.
Amanda: We just consumed more calories than most people do in a week.
Jake: Well, I'll tell you what we could do. We will -- we will do a little aerobics. We'll double-time the aerobics when we get home, what do you say? Actually I like saying that. Excuse me. There you go. "We" and "home" in the same sentence. It's -- it's nice. Mostly because I -- I've been on my own, you know, for a while, flying solo, going around the world, working on my work, working on myself.
Amanda: Saving lives.
Jake: Yeah, and running away from my own in many ways. Yeah, I figured if I keep moving, I can't get hurt, you know? So that's, uh... But then I realized that some people are worth it. Like, Amanda, I don't know how this is going to play out, I really don't. But I do want you to know that I wouldn't trade a single second of this -- of being with you for anything in the world. So whatever happens, I mean, I just think I'm made out to be with you. And that really makes it worth it to me.
Tad: So she finally has the courage to do the right thing, and then she makes a U-turn, moves right back into Castle Dracula. What the hell is so irresistible about David Hayward?
Angie: She loves him.
Tad: Well, not enough to keep her from testifying against him in court.
Angie: Well, you know how it goes. Sometimes you don't realize how much someone means to you until they're gone.
Tad: No. No, I think Adam knows something. Adam's got something on her, and it's something she wants to keep secret more than she wants her marriage.
Angie: Maybe not, since she's home right now trying to save it.
David: I didn't think you were coming back.
Krystal: I wasn't sure you'd want me to. I -- I should have told you the truth from the very beginning. I did some awful things, David, things that I am so ashamed of, but I did them because I was desperate.
David: Shh, shh. What's past is past. Let's look to the future, all right? Our future.
[Knock at door]
David: Ignore them. They'll go away.
Krystal: You know what? They'll go away faster if I tell them to leave. I'll be right back.
