Ryan: Any homework?
Corrina: She did it before ballet. It's in her bag if you want to check it. There's also a permission slip for the acquarium field trip on Tuesday.
Ryan: Got it. Thank you again for picking her up.
Corrina: Not a problem. Bye, Emma.
Corrina: I'll let myself out.
Ryan: Ok, see you later.
Greenlee: The aquarium sounds like fun.
Emma: You want to come? You could be the class helper.
Ryan: Oh, that's sweet. Greenlee's got to work on Tuesday.
Greenlee: That's the perk of being your own boss, though. I can take a day off whenever I want. So tell me about this class helper thing.
Emma: Mommy was supposed to do it, but my teacher said since she was sick, a friend could come.
Ryan: Well, what if Greenlee was more than just a friend? Would you like that?
Reese: What's all that?
Bianca: Oh, um, basically, every wedding venue within 100 miles of New Haven, just in case our perfect little inn isn't so perfect.
Zach: This it?
Zach: I'll take it to the car.
Reese: You know, it's really late. Are you sure that you want to go tonight? All the way up to Connecticut -- come on.
Bianca: Yes, if I go tomorrow morning, then I'm going to hit horrible traffic, and this way I can get a nice, early start.
Reese: I wish I could come with you.
Bianca: Well, you have work to do. People need you.
Reese: Don't you?
[Knock on door]
Erica: Hi, I stopped by the house, and Pete told me that you had moved in here?
Opal: Oh, yeah, well, just a temporary relocation till Tad gets home. Someone needed to be here for the kids.
Erica: Well, where's Krystal?
Opal: Well, that would be the million-dollar question.
Erica: What do you mean? You haven't seen her?
Opal: Well, she was here, all right, but she was all worked up about David Hayward. You know, that man is just 100% evil incarnate. He has got her taking pills for her grief instead of working it out.
Erica: Oh, wow.
Opal: Well, I was laying down the law with her and then Jenny started crying, so by the time I got back down here with Jenny, Krystal was gone.
Erica: She's probably headed straight for Wildwind to get her next fix.
Opal: Well, she says that the pills are no big deal. They just help her relax.
Erica: Yeah, well, I said a lot of things, too, when I was an addict. You can't trust Krystal, especially not around David, or any man, for that matter. I mean, look at her track record. She was ready to move in with Adam and raise Tad's child.
Opal: Well, now they're a happy family. They got two beautiful daughters.
Erica: Oh, you know what? That's the same as Bianca. And that hasn't kept Reese from lying to her.
Opal: What? I thought they seemed so in love.
Erica: Well, I just wouldn't buy my dress for the wedding yet if I were you. No, I really happen to think that Reese and Krystal are cut from exactly the same cloth.
Krystal: Listen, we're all having a hard time dealing with Babe's death. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her and wish that she were here, but this? Tying David to a piano and blaming him for everything that's gone wrong? That is not going to bring her back.
J.R.: He is to blame, Krystal. Open your eyes. He's using you. He's worming his way back into your life, so he can get closer to Little Adam. He doesn't care about you. This is just his plan to get back at me. Tell her, Hayward, tell her!
David: There's nothing to tell, J.R.
J.R.: Well, then I guess there's no reason to keep you alive.
Krystal: J.R., don't.
Ryan: What do you think if Greenlee became part of the family?
Emma: Like a sister?
Ryan: Um, well, I was thinking more along the lines of, like, a wife.
Emma: What about Mommy?
Ryan: Well, your mommy and I decided that it would be better if we just were friends. We can't stay married, because we don't love each other like that anymore.
Emma: Will you stop loving me?
Ryan: No, sweetie. Oh, no, never. Spike's mommy and I aren't married, and it doesn't make me love Spike any less, right? Hey, your mommy and I will never, ever stop loving you.
Emma: If you get married, can I come to the wedding?
[Greenlee and Ryan chuckle]
Greenlee: Actually, I was hoping you'd do me a favor. I need a flower girl. Do you know anyone who might be interested?
Greenlee: Ah, yeah? With a cute little face like that, how can I resist?
Krystal: J.R., please, put the gun down.
J.R.: So he can destroy your life like he did my mother's? Take away my son? No, forget it. We'd all be better off if David was dead and buried.
David: Go ahead. Pull the trigger.
Krystal: David --
David: Now's your chance, Junior. One shot from you, and I'll be out of Little Adam's life for good.
Krystal: And so would you. Ok, you'd be rotting in a jail cell for murder. Don't do it, J.R.
J.R.: Oh, it would be worth it to keep him away from my son.
David: Then do it already.
Krystal: David --
David: Shoot me.
David: He doesn't have the guts. Do you, Junior? All these years, you've hated me. You don't have it in you to pull the trigger.
J.R.: Shut up!
David: Might want to have another drink there, Junior. Steady that hand.
J.R.: I said, shut up.
David: Or what?
[Krystal gasps as J.R. shoots in the ceiling again]
J.R.: Or the next one is going to be in your head.
Opal: All right now, honey bunch. Come on. Talk to me. What is the problem you've got with Bianca's beloved?
Erica: Something's off about Reese, ok? I just felt it the minute I laid eyes on her.
Opal: Well, then I guess my intuition is on the fritz, because I only get good vibes from her.
Erica: Well, that's because she is trying so hard to convince you. She's trying to convince everyone that she's worthy of Bianca.
Opal: Yeah, well, what makes you think she isn't?
Erica: Reese has kept things from Bianca, important things, things that should have been discussed way before the subject of babies and marriage ever came up. Like the fact that Reese was engaged once before to a man, and she had no intention of ever telling Bianca about that. I mean, Bianca had to hear about it from Reese's estranged father.
Opal: Well, I mean, Reese and Bianca -- they were swept off their feet. Maybe they missed a few beats along the way. But now they're settling down. They're going to start a life together. They'll have plenty of time to fill in the blanks. It's all going to work out in the end.
Erica: Oh, Opal, believe me, I would like nothing better than -- Bianca finally would have her happily-ever-after.
Erica: But alarms just go off every time Reese walks into a room, especially a room that Zach is standing in.
Opal: Oh, now that really is a reach, Erica. Come on. I mean, it doesn't matter who is in the room, Zach has only got eyes for one woman and that's Kendall. You know the way he looks at her. It's the same way Bianca looks at Reese.
Erica: Well, you know what? Men have looked at me with the same kind of love and worship and complete devotion, and you know what -- it didn't stop them from breaking my heart.
Bianca: I -- I would love nothing more than to spend a few days with you alone in Connecticut, but you've got that zoning meeting, and you can't afford to miss it.
Zach: She's got a point. If you want a permit to work on that block, you really should get it in person.
Reese: Ok, well, you know what, I'll do both. I'll do both. I'll rearrange a few things, and then we can go up tomorrow after the meeting, ok?
Bianca: And so you can be glued to the phone the whole time, taking bids from contractors? That sounds romantic. No, I'll go, and I'll narrow down our choices, and then we can go up together and make the final decision.
Reese: Are you sure?
Bianca: Yes, it's one night. Nobody's going to even miss me.
Bianca: Until milk production grinds to a screeching halt.
Zach: I'll check on her.
Bianca: Thank you. Oh, my gosh. She can't be hungry already. I just fed her.
Reese: Yeah, well, she's got a hearty appetite like her momma's. Come on. Stay. Come on.
Bianca: No, I can't.
Zach: That's all you need.
Reese: Hey, little pumpkin.
Zach: Just needed some attention, that's all. Shh -- I think she's falling back asleep.
Reese: Is she? Good, good, good, good. Hey.
Bianca: You know, four kids is a lot to handle. Do you need me to stay for a little while longer?
Zach: We got it.
Reese: Yeah. All right, you call me when you get there, so I know you made it safe, all right?
Reese: Ok. I love you.
Bianca: I love you.
Opal: Now, honey, I know it can be hard to stand by and watch when you think your kids are making a mistake, but you know Bianca -- you don't ever have to worry about her. She's got such a solid head on her shoulders. I think if she trusts Reese, then you've got every reason in the world to trust her, too.
Erica: Well, Bianca has obviously seen a side of Reese that I haven't. Ok, maybe it's time that I go over there, and I learn to find out who this woman really is who's going to marry my daughter.
Opal: Just remember to play nice. Good night.
Erica: Good night.
Opal: Hey, who's that coming down the stairs? Your movie over?
Kathy: Where's Krystal?
Opal: Krystal went out for a little while.
Kathy: Will she be back in time to tuck me in?
Opal: You know, I'm going to call her right now and ask, ok? Why don't you go up and get ready for bed, all right, sweetie-pie?
Opal: Don't forget to brush your teeth.
J.R.: For once in your miserable life, be honest. Tell Krystal why you're really spending all this time with her.
Krystal: David doesn't have to tell me anything, J.R. I know the pain that he is in. I feel it, too.
J.R.: Yeah, that's what he's counting on, Krystal. He knows that you're vulnerable. He's using that as a way in.
David: You need to ease up on that wine, Junior. Your paranoia is out of control.
J.R.: Look, you know all the slimy things he's done. Don't let your grief get in the way.
Krystal: David has made a lot of mistakes.
J.R.: Mistakes? Was it a mistake when he tried to kill my father and frame Jake for malpractice? How about when Tad was searching for Kathy -- or was it a mistake when he tried to pass off Emma Lavery as my missing little sister?
Krystal: Hey, look, he is a different man, all right? Losing a child -- it changes you.
J.R.: How can you stand there and defend him after everything he's done?
David: This, coming from the man who lives in a glass house.
J.R.: Can't you see that Hayward's working you? He gains your trust, and he gets what he wants. Or has he already? All those late nights you've been spending together -- how come I've never seen it? You're sleeping with him, aren't you?
Bianca: I'm -- I'm sorry. I didn't know where else to go.
Ryan: Why? What happened? Something with Kendall?
Bianca: Oh, no, no, no, no. It's nothing with Kendall. She's fine. It's -- it's, um -- it's Zach and Reese. I know -- I know, it's probably ridiculous, but I can't help it. I just -- I have to know if something is going on between the two of them.
Ryan: Bianca, you may have your doubts, ok, but I still say that Zach would never, ever cheat on Kendall.
Bianca: Well, I guess we'll find out.
Greenlee: What did you do?
Bianca: I told Reese that I was going to Connecticut to plan the wedding. Rachael's out of town, so when the kids are in bed, they'll be all alone tonight.
Greenlee: This is a bad idea.
Bianca: Why, because you think there is something going on between them?
Greenlee: I think you have to be very careful how far you push this. If Reese finds out you were testing her, she'll never forgive you.
Reese: How's Gabby?
Zach: Out like a light.
Reese: You know, I don't know how you do it. Every time I put her back down, she starts crying.
Zach: That's years of practice. Cheers. Hmm.
Reese: Hmm, cheers.
Zach: Spike used to crawl into bed with us, and I thought if I ever want to have a night alone with my wife in bed, I'd better learn how to put him back in his crib.
Reese: Oh, yes, well, you know what? You need to teach me that technique, because it has been months since Bianca and I have had our bed to ourselves for an entire night.
Reese: Yes, Miranda always seems to always wander in, and then you can add Gabby's feeding to that and there's not a whole heck of a lot of elbow room.
Zach: Well, you have plenty of room tonight.
Reese: Yeah, not that I'm going to take advantage of it. God, I'm going to be up all night just preparing for this meeting.
Zach: You'll get the permit. They want to work on that block, so you'll be all right.
Reese: Yeah, I better get it. Because if I don't, I'm going to be out of a job before it even starts. Well, thank you.
Zach: You're welcome.
Opal: "Clementine" -- I'll be darned.
Kathy: Krystal promised we'd read it together.
Opal: She did? Well, how about this -- how about if you and me get started on it and then when she gets back, she can take over? That sound ok? All righty.
Kathy: Where did Krystal go?
Opal: Well, she went to do an errand, and I know that she's going to be back very soon. All right? So let's just snuggle up here and see exactly what kind of troubles that Clementine -- oh -- has got herself into.
Opal: Oh, you're just in time --
Tad: For what?
Tad: Hey, sunshine. There she is. There's my girl!
Tad: I missed you. I missed you so much.
Kathy: I missed you more.
Tad: I doubt that's possible. Oh, I love you, I love you, I love you. Momma, are you going to sit there and gawk at me, or are you going to get off of that sofa and give me a hug.
Opal: Well, I'm sorry, honey, I just -- I didn't expect you to be home quite so soon.
Tad: Yeah, well, I would have called, but I kind of wanted to surprise Krystal.
Kathy: Krystal's not home.
Tad: Where is she?
J.R.: I can't believe you slept with Hayward. How could you? You have a family. You have a husband. You remember Tad, right? You should. He hasn't been gone that long.
Krystal: J.R., you are way too drunk to be thinking clearly right now.
David: Well, does that surprise you? Drowning himself in a bottle is the only thing Junior knows how to do.
Krystal: I thought it would be different this time. J.R., I really thought that you were going to try to find a way to keep it together. Come on.
J.R.: No, don't put this --
Krystal: J.R., listen to me. You have got a son. Do you really think that you're going to be able to keep your son, raise your son, when you can't even keep yourself sober?
J.R.: Stop switching this around. I asked you a question!
Krystal: No, you are trying to lash out. You're spoiling for a fight, blaming everybody. Well, guess what. You're not the only one who lost Babe. We are all -- we're all struggling to try to find a way to put the pieces together here.
J.R.: Oh, yeah? By having an affair?
David: By helping each other through the pain.
J.R.: You disgust me. You guys can have each other.
Greenlee: Look, I know you have a lot of questions, but testing someone you love isn't the answer. Take my word for it. Aidan ruined any chance we had by spying on me. He put a bug in my earring and listened in on all of my conversations instead of just coming forward and being honest. The second the trust was gone, so was the relationship, and don't let it get to that point.
Bianca: So you think I'm crazy for doing this?
Ryan: No, I think that you're really in love with Reese, and you're terrified of losing her.
Greenlee: If you don't stop now, that could be a real possibility. Are you ready for that?
Bianca: It's Reese. Hello.
Reese: Hey, I was just calling to check in. How are the roads?
Bianca: Uh, not bad.
Reese: Good, good. You know, I really just hate the thought of you being out there all by yourself.
Bianca: You don't have to worry about me. I'm fine.
Reese: I wish I could be there with you to keep you company. You -- you be careful, all right?
Bianca: I promise.
Reese: I'm serious, because I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you. I love you.
Bianca: I love you, too. Good night.
Bianca: I'm such an idiot. How could I have thought this was going to be a good idea?
Opal: How's Jamie?
Tad: He's safe. And he's happy. He loves what he's doing so much, Jeff's trying to talk him in to staying for two years.
Opal: Well, I'd rather have two weeks, I think. I don't know if my ticker could take another scare like that.
Tad: I know mine couldn't. I almost died of anxiety. The only thing that kept me going was knowing my little girls were safe and sound and waiting for me to come home.
Tad: Which leads us back to the question of where is my better half?
Opal: Well, she had to just run out and get a couple of things, so I offered to look after the girls, but now that you're home, I can just head on out. You know, Petey is back at the manor doing a project, and Palmer is there, of all things, breathing down his neck, so if I'm not there to referee, now they could just blow the whole house apart and I --
Tad: Ma, breathe. Breathe.
Opal: Would be left out on the street -- there's no time. Goodbye, Kathy. See you soon.
Tad: Wait. Mama -- Sunshine, where exactly is Krystal?
Krystal: Who are you calling?
David: The police.
Krystal: Oh, no, no, you can't.
David: I just spent the last several hours bound to a piano with a gun shoved in my face. I think, at the very least, that's earned a phone call.
Krystal: David, they will throw J.R. in jail.
David: Yeah, no kidding. So what's your point?
Krystal: Look, none of us is acting sane and rational since Babe died. We are all acting out to numb the pain.
David: J.R. has gone way beyond acting out, Krystal. He's on a downward spiral. Tonight it's a gun. Tomorrow -- who knows? Maybe driving drunk with our grandson in the back seat. Well, I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to take that chance.
Krystal: J.R. needs help, but he is not going to get that in a jail cell. Please. No matter what you think about J.R., he's the only parent that little boy has since Babe died.
Krystal: Thank you.
David: I don't need the police to punish J.R. I can make him pay all by myself.
Zach: Erica, come on in.
Erica: Hi, I hope it's not too late for a visit.
Reese: Oh, you know, Bianca's not home.
Erica: I'll wait.
Zach: Well, she won't be home for a while. She's in Connecticut overnight, looking at some wedding places.
Reese: Oh, yeah, I have an important meeting that I have to get to in the morning.
Erica: Well, it must be extremely important for you to put it before your own wedding plans.
Reese: Well, you know, once we nixed the candelabras, the planning got back on track, and I trust Bianca to keep it that way.
Erica: Too bad you didn't trust Bianca so implicitly when it came to sharing stories of your past engagement -- to a man, right?
Reese: I am sorry, but, um, was there something you actually needed or did you just come over to offer more thoughts on centerpieces?
Erica: You know, Reese, I understand that you have a very strained relationship with your mother, but Bianca and I happen to be very close.
Zach: Close enough to accept her fiancée?
Erica: The way you have -- with open arms and longing looks?
Erica: Look, Bianca may not see it, but I do. I know exactly what's going on.
Bianca: Oh, thank you. Reese is everything I've ever wanted. I mean, she's gorgeous. She's smart. She's an amazing mother to our children, and -- and she loves me with her whole heart.
Greenlee: But you still don't trust her.
Bianca: There's a lot I didn't know about Reese, and probably still more I don't. I guess that's one of the dangers of falling in love so fast. You spend the rest of your relationship playing catch-up.
Greenlee: Everyone has secrets, Bianca, things they're not proud of.
Ryan: It's more than that, though, isn't it?
Bianca: Well, you've seen them together. They have this incredible connection. How can I not wonder?
Greenlee: This is Zach we're talking about, Bianca. The same man who sat by your sister's bedside day in and day out willing her to get better. Does that sound like someone who would cheat on his wife?
Bianca: All I know is that sometimes it seems like Zach has given up hope that Kendall will ever wake up. And recently, Reese has become his shoulder to lean on -- the person that he talks to when things get to be too much.
Ryan: Sounds like she's being a good friend, to me.
Greenlee: Like he was when he agreed to father Gabby. He gave you and Reese an amazing gift. He would never ruin that.
Bianca: You're right. Oh, my God. It's like I'm looking for reasons for my relationship not to work instead of focusing on why it -- it does work. I've got to go home. Please don't tell anybody that I was here.
Ryan: You have nothing to be ashamed of.
Bianca: Yeah, I do.
Krystal: Why can't you drop this?
David: J.R. took it too far.
Krystal: And we haven't? You know, J.R. was right. I -- I shouldn't be here. My God, I have a family. I have a husband.
David: No, no, no, wait a minute, wait a minute. Look, and we had a daughter, right? I mean, losing Babe nearly destroyed us both. You gave me a reason to go on, Krystal, to put down the gun and try to work through the pain. None of this has been easy, ok? But having you here has really helped.
Krystal: It's helped me, too.
David: Come here.
[David and Krystal kiss]
Opal: What in creation?
Krystal: Opal, it's -- it's not what you think.
Opal: Oh, oh, so you were not letting the devil himself undress you?
David: Krystal was upset, ok? I was just trying to help her.
Opal: I know exactly what you were trying to do. I have known what you've been up to since the minute you slithered back into town. You looked me right in the eyes and lied, said there was nothing going on.
Krystal: You don't understand.
Opal: No, I don't understand. And neither will your husband. He's home, by the way.
Krystal: Tad is back?
Opal: Mm-hmm. And if you hadn't snuck out to spend time with this snake here, you'd know it. I trusted you.
Krystal: Please, let me explain.
Opal: I'm not the one you owe it to.
Tad: Well, let's see. I saw lions and giraffes and a gazelle. I even saw some zebraphants.
Kathy: What's a zebraphant?
Tad: Everybody knows what a zebraphant is. It's an elephant with stripes.
Kathy: Elephants don't have stripes.
Tad: They do if they don't want to get spotted. Ah! See what I did there?
Tad: Author, author, author. Brilliant, bril--
Tad: You love my jokes. Admit it.
Kathy: Want to hear a real funny one?
Tad: Sure, always.
Kathy: What's an elephant's favorite game?
Tad: I don't know. What's an elephant's favorite game?
Tad: Ok. That's not bad. That's not bad. Who told you that?
Kathy: Dr. David. He tells real funny jokes.
Tad: When did you see Dr. David?
Kathy: On Christmas. He came over to help open presents.
Krystal: Oh, God, what am I going to do? Opal is not going to keep this quiet. Tad is her son. She'll have to tell him.
David: Well, then you have to get there first. You have to do damage control.
Krystal: I had an affair. The damage is done.
David: Not if Tad finds out the truth. You were having trouble sleeping. Once he finds out that I gave you some pills, he'll assume that I took advantage of the situation. Just go with that.
Krystal: What about Opal?
David: All she saw was a kiss. Tad doesn't have to know it went any further than that.
Krystal: I'll know. Oh, God, how could I hurt him like this?
David: Listen, it's not too late. If you love Tad, go home and fight for your marriage.
Erica: I saw you at the casino, wrapped in each other's arms.
Reese: What -- Zach and I are friends. I know that it's a difficult concept to grasp for somebody who has been married 10 times, but it is, in fact, possible.
Erica: And what's a little embrace between friends? Or a bottle of wine, for that matter, while your fiancée is out of town planning your wedding?
Zach: Excuse me. What are you saying? You think that Reese and I are having an affair behind Bianca's back? Really? All I've been thinking about is my wife in a coma, fighting for her life. It's all I've been thinking about.
Erica: Were you thinking about Kendall when you were convinced by Reese to father her child?
Zach: Ok. I did what I did for Bianca, your other daughter, because she wants to raise a family with the woman she loves, a woman she's engaged to, a woman who's been nothing but gracious and kind, open, and giving with her time and her talents since she got here. And this is what you want to do? Accuse her, accuse me of betraying the people we love? Is that it?
Erica: Zach, I have no suspicions about you. I would never question your love for Kendall -- never. I've seen it. I would never question that. It is Reese's supposed love for Bianca that I do definitely question. My daughter deserves far better.
[Reese exhales after Erica leaves, slamming the door]
Reese: Oh, no. Uh-uh.
Zach: Don't let her get to you.
Reese: You know, maybe she's got a point.
Zach: Maybe she's got a what? She's got a point? You think she's right? We are grabbing each other, we're having an affair? No, stop. That's what she does. She pushes people. Usually it's Kendall, but she can't be pushed around right now, so she goes after Bianca and tries to control her life. Don't let her get to you. Don't let her mess with your head. She already has, hasn't she? Great. No, that's perfect. I thought you were stronger.
Ryan: Ok, so now that Emma knows that we're getting married, I think it's time that we revisit this whole "you not spending the night" thing. What? It's true. She's got to get used to waking up and seeing you here eventually, right?
Greenlee: Or we could just hold off until our wedding night.
Greenlee: Nothing wrong with building a little anticipation.
Ryan: Waiting for Emma to go to bed is anticipation enough. Get over here.
Singer: No one knows just what tomorrow brings still here we are we've shared so many years
Greenlee: Do you ever feel guilty for being this happy when all of our friends are having so many problems?
Ryan: I do. But I also think that we've all had our fair share of problems.
Greenlee: It's never easy, is it, love? Even for somebody as perfect as Bianca. She still has all the same insecurities as the rest of us.
Ryan: I can kind of see what she's worried about. I mean, Zach is at an all-time low.
Greenlee: Low? You want to talk about low? How about being trapped underground with no hope of being discovered, no air, no running water. That is the lowest of the low. And even then, Zach didn't leave her. We had every opportunity to sleep together, and we didn't. All he could think about was getting home to Kendall. Knowing that he hadn't given up hope kept me going.
Ryan: Well, thank God you held on, because I could not imagine my life without you.
Singer: You and me will always be
Krystal: You're home. I was so worried. How's Jamie?
Tad: He's safe. And so is Jeff.
Krystal: Oh, thank God. Kathy is going to be so excited to see you. Kathy --
Tad: Yeah, don't bother. No, no, no, no, I tucked her in. She's probably asleep by now.
Krystal: How long have you been here?
Tad: A while. So, you want to tell me where you were?
J.R.: I can tell you exactly where she's been.
[David plays piano]
Erica: Well, how did you get into my suite?
Opal: The maid took pity on me. I was hoping if I laid down, maybe it would go away. But every time I close my eyes, it's all I see, playing over and over again like some scene from a bad horror movie stuck in repeat.
Erica: What, Opal, what is?
Opal: Oh. I walked in on David and Krystal pawing each other like a couple of dogs in heat. I was a fool to think she ever wanted to fight for her marriage. From what I saw, Tad was about the last thing on her mind.
Erica: Well, I am so sorry. I mean, that's just awful.
Opal: Oh, and it wasn't half as bad as the tap dance I had to do with Tad at the house earlier.
Erica: Tad is back?
Opal: Yeah, came back to surprise Krystal. Ironic, considering Tad is the one about to get the shock of a lifetime.
Erica: You mean you didn't warn him?
Opal: It's not my place.
Erica: Opal, are you kidding? What are you saying?
Opal: Tad is a grown-up man. He lives his own life. He has his own -- makes his own decisions. You know, I can offer my opinion for the little good that does, but he and Krystal, they got to figure this out on their own. Just like Bianca and Reese.
Erica: You know something? You want to just sit back and let Krystal make a fool out of Tad, you go ahead, by all means, but I refuse to just sit back and watch while Bianca gets her heart broken again.
Zach: Give me that.
Zach: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you.
Reese: It's all right. Nothing compared to Erica, right? I really -- I don't know what I ever did to make that woman hate me so much.
Zach: You're marrying her daughter. I did the same thing. She's never going to like it.
Reese: You know, everything was so different when we were in Paris. Bianca and I, we were in love. We were planning our life together. And then we came here. And everything has changed -- everything. She started doubting me. We started doubting each other. We argue all the time. You know, I thought that being in Pine Valley was going to be good for us. I thought it was going to be good for our family, but all it seems to do is tear us apart. I shouldn't have ever come here.
Zach: Uh-uh, don't say that. Come here.
Reese: Come on.
Zach: Hey, you're the best thing that ever happened to her. Don't do this.
[Bianca comes home and sees Zach hugging Reese and kissing her on the forehead]
