Krystal: Oh, ooh.

David: You ok?

Krystal: No more milk for me, right?

Krystal: What are you doing here?

J.R.: What are you doing with him?

Krystal: I stopped by David's to pick something up, and he insisted on driving me back here.

David: The roads are so bad, so I drove her home.

J.R.: Shut up and get out.

Krystal: J.R., stop.

J.R.: I should stop? I'm not the one who's been running around all night with that slimeball.

Krystal: Look --

David: It's all right. I was leaving anyway.

J.R.: What are you thinking?

Krystal: I -- I am not going to get into this.

J.R.: Yeah, that's right. Because you're not going to see David Hayward ever again.

Natalia: Mom. Oh, my God. I can't believe it. You're alive.

Rebecca: What happened? Why are you all here?

Frankie: Amy, I need you to page the neurologist on call. Our coma patient has just regained consciousness.

Natalia: We thought we'd lost you.

Rebecca: I don't understand.

Natalia: We thought it was all over.

Angie: Your heart stopped. You went into a coma.

Frankie: But you came back.

Angie: God gave us another miracle.

Annie: No doctors, no doctors, no doctors. No doctors, no doctors. No doctors, no doctors, no doctors.

Aidan: I'm not a doctor. But I am going to help you.

Annie: Go away. Leave me alone.

Aidan: Annie, shh. It's ok, it's ok. It's ok.

Annie: I want my daddy. He was supposed to take me to school, but now he left, and now I'm scared.

Aidan: That man wasn't your daddy. I'm your daddy. And you're my precious little girl. You don't have to be afraid anymore. I will never leave you. I cross my heart, and I hope to die.

Bianca: Nice. Pretty picture. You know we're going to take some more pictures with your sister and your cousins tomorrow morning.

Reese: Ooh.

Bianca: But now we have to clean up these ornaments.

Reese: Yes.

Bianca: Here. One more.

[Phone rings]

Zach: Slater.

Amy: This is Amy. I'm a nurse at Pine Valley Hospital. We met.

Zach: What's wrong?

Amy: I just thought I'd tell you that Dr. Hubbard ordered a consult on a coma patient who just woke up.

Zach: That was the hospital. Kendall is awake.

Bianca: What? Oh, my God.

Reese: Go, go, go. Go, go, go, go, go, go. It's ok.

Angie: You're stable. Your neurologist will be in here soon and give you a thorough exam, ok? From what I see, we're going to have a very happy holiday.

Frankie: I know this can happen. A patient's in a coma, no sign of hope, then boom. They wake up. But medically, you can't explain how it happened.

Randi: Your mother's right. It's a miracle.

Natalia: Angie did it, Mom. Angie brought you back to life.

Taylor: Hi. I -- long time no see. Where you been?

Jake: Been around. How's Brot?

Taylor: Uh, he's good. He's fine. He's not in the hospital anymore, but he's in town. He needs space. So we've been talking on the phone, which is kind of weird, you know, talking with him but not to him.

Jake: Right.

Taylor: I keep saying to myself, "How is any of this possible?" And he just keeps telling me that he's not the same man, so I said I'd like to know who you've become, and so we've been talking on the phone. I think I already said that.

Jake: Well, he's the same guy that you fell in love with, so --

Taylor: Jake, I can't do this.

Annie: I'm not allowed to talk to strangers.

Aidan: I'm not a stranger, sweetheart. Would a stranger know that your favorite ice cream is chocolate? Or that you like to draw pictures and make up fairy tales?

Annie: Who told you that?

Aidan: You did, my beautiful princess.

Annie: How do you know my special name?

Aidan: I know everything about you. I've been with you since you were a little girl, since you were born. I'm sorry that that bad man left you alone. All we're going to have now is nothing but fun. I'm going to read you stories, and we're going to play games.

Annie: We're not allowed to play games here.

Aidan: Oh, no, we can. Because I'm here. And I'm going to protect you from all these bad people and those green meanies. They can't get to you anymore. I won't let them. I love you, and I will always keep you safe.

Annie: I love you, too, Daddy.

[Doorbell]

Man: Hi. All this time, you haven't changed a bit.

Reese: What are you doing here?

Man: I have a meeting in Philly tomorrow, designing a new office building. I thought I'd spend the night in Pine Valley, come to see you.

Reese: And how did you know I was here?

Man: Your friend called to invite us to the christening.

[Gabrielle makes noises]

Man: May I please come in? May I see my grandchild?

Amy: Mr. Slater, wait!

Bianca: You know what? I'm his sister-in-law. What? What is it?

Amy: When I called Mr. Slater, I had just come on duty. I didn't know another woman had been brought in, that -- that she was in a coma, too, so when Dr. Hubbard told me a patient had regained consciousness, I assumed that --

Bianca: Oh, my God.

[Zach stares at Kendall]

Amanda: So let's keep this moving so we can get out of here before midnight, and remember this is not any normal Valentine's Day. This one is unforgettable. Ah, it's all about bedroom romance. Hot, sexy, mind-blowing.

Man: Well, we could definitely make that happen.

Amanda: And our model, Randi, she's new, so you might have to talk her through it a little bit. You know, something like, uh, "Tonight is your night. Just the two of you."

Amanda: His touch, his skin, mmm, his kiss.

Singer: Just can't get you out of my head your words are running through

Amanda: He wants you. Only you.

Singer: Just can't get you out of my head

Amanda: The desire gets stronger and stronger.

Singer: Just can't get you out of my head

Amanda: I'll be right back.

Singer: The words are running through I've never seen somebody more beautiful than you just can't get you out of my head just can't get you out of my head

Jake: I'm sorry, forgive me. I'm so tired. You -- you can't do what?

Taylor: Talk to you like you're my shrink. It's so weird.

Jake: He'll come around. Brot will come around.

Taylor: With you and me? I mean, I, um, what do you want to do? What should we -- do -- do we forget that -- forget it? Just act like it never happened?

Jake: I could -- I could never forget you.

Jake: Eric, I think she is ready to go back to her room now. Aren't you?

Taylor: It's ok. I can walk.

J.R.: Whatever's going on with Hayward, you need to end it.

Krystal: Nothing is going on.

J.R.: You know, I see it. You have that same look in your eyes that my mom had in her eyes. Poor David, nobody understands him. Well, bull, I understand him just fine. He's working you.

Krystal: Who are you talking to? I am not a naive kid.

J.R.: Yeah, neither was my mother, but she was vulnerable, and he used that to get close to her.

Krystal: Close to David is the last place I want to be.

J.R.: That's what my mother said, too. She denied it, said she could handle it, but she couldn't. He not only ruined her marriage, he destroyed her entire life.

Krystal: My life was destroyed when I lost Babe.

J.R.: Mine too. But I look at Little Adam every day, and I can hear her telling me to stay strong.

Krystal: I know, I know. I am trying, J.R. I am trying, and I know I have to keep together for Jenny and for Kathy, but --

J.R.: It's hard. I mean, you want to grab anything, anything to numb the pain. I want to grab a bottle of Scotch every day, but I can't because I remember that it's poison. It can take away everything, just like David can take away everything. You don't need him. You got Tad.

Krystal: Tad isn't here.

J.R.: Yeah, because he had to check on Jamie and make sure he was ok. He asked me to check up on you, make sure you were ok and the girls.

Krystal: You don't need to do that.

J.R.: I want to. Look, Tad's worried, and he wants to help, and he'll do that as soon as he gets back. Until then, count on me, not Hayward.

Krystal: David is just a friend.

J.R.: Satan doesn't have any friends.

Bianca: There was a misunderstanding. Another coma patient woke up.

Amy: Mr. Slater, I am so sorry.

Zach: I was expecting to walk in here and see my wife awake, and you're sorry. Start looking for another job.

Bianca: Zach.

Zach: And not as a nurse. I will have your license revoked. And I will make sure that you will never work in a hospital again.

Amy: Please, I didn't mean --

Zach: Get out. I don't give a damn. I want her fired. Bring me the chief of staff.

Officer: Sir.

Zach: What? First, he tries to kill my wife, and now, the stupid nurse doesn't even know who to call?

Officer: Keep your voice down.

Zach: Or what?

Jesse: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.

Zach: Or what?

Jesse: Hey, hey, hey. Guys, listen, I got this. Zach, Zach, come on, come on. I know you're upset. But this is the I.C.U., and you can't --

Frankie: What happened?

Bianca: One of the nurses called to tell us that Kendall was awake, but it turned out that it was another coma patient.

Angie: It was Rebecca. I'm so sorry, Bianca.

Frankie: Oh, that's me. When I -- when I asked Amy to page Neuro, I didn't give her the name of a patient.

Angie: Yeah, it was a mix-up.

Frankie: Have a seat, please.

Bianca: No, no, I'm ok. I'm -- I'm fine.

Angie: Listen, do you want me to talk to Zach?

Bianca: No, no, I'll -- I'll -- I'll take it.

Man: She is beautiful, like her mommy.

Reese: Gabrielle looks like her other mommy. Bianca carried her.

Man: Oh.

Reese: And by the way, we're getting married.

Man: So, um -- how are you -- how are you liking Pine Valley?

Reese: I, um, I tell you that we're going to get married, and I don't even get a, "Congratulations, so when's the wedding?" Right, right. You don't want to know, right? And you definitely don't want Mom to know, because she'd hit the roof. Well, don't worry about it, Dad. We're not putting an announcement in "The New York Times."

Reese's Father: Reese, don't do this.

Reese: Don't do what?

Reese's Father: Don't --

Reese: I didn't do anything. All I did was fall in love.

Reese's Father: Look, I'm not proud of the way your mother and I reacted to --

Reese: To -- my coming out. My telling you that I am a lesbian.

Reese's Father: All I'm --

Reese: You can't even say the word.

Reese's Father: Look, all I'm asking is that you try to understand.

Reese: Oh, I understand. I understand Mom perfectly, but you, you, how you could just sit there and not do anything. You could've finally stood up to her. You could've finally done that, but you just -- you just went along with it.

Reese's Father: I was afraid you'd get hurt. The world is full of prejudice, and I wanted to protect you from that cruelty. I wanted to spare you that pain.

Reese: Well, guess what, Dad? You didn't. You didn't, because you are the one that hurt me the most. And I thought that you loved me.

Reese's Father: I do. I love you, and I've missed you. I've missed my little girl so much. I'm so sorry.

Bianca: I think it's a good sign. If another patient woke up, then so can Kendall. She popped back before. She'll do it again.

Zach: I wish I could believe that.

Bianca: Why don't we tell her about decorating the tree?

Zach: No. Um -- I just want to be alone with my wife for a minute. Can I do that?

Bianca: I don't think that's the best idea.

Zach: I'll behave. Please.

Kendall: Hiya, handsome. You miss me?

Frankie: I shouldn't have, uh, told you that it was time to let go.

Natalia: Hey, she signed that D.N.R. report. You guys were just trying to help me accept, you know, what she wanted. And so were you. I understand. And maybe taking her off that machine is what brought her back. I don't know what I would have done without you guys.

Angie: You're never going to have to worry about that. Come here.

Natalia: Oh, what's past is past. She's back. That's all that matters.

Randi: I'm supposed to have this photo shoot over at Fusion, but I can really try and postpone it.

Natalia: No, that's cool. Go ahead.

Randi: You sure?

Natalia: Yeah.

Frankie: Well, I think I'm going to go with Randi, so we'll check in with you later?

Natalia: Ok. Bye, sweetie. Bye, honey.

Angie: How is she?

Doctor: All things considered, she's doing great.

Natalia: Can we go in and see her?

Doctor: Yes, of course. She seems to be compensating for the cancer quite well. I don't foresee any sudden, dramatic deterioration at this point.

Angie: Thank you.

Doctor: Sure.

David: What the hell happened?

Angie: The patient revived after she was extubated. It was a miracle.

David: So you got what you wanted?

Angie: What?

David: That patient signed an order saying she did not want to be resuscitated. Yet you violated it. And now she's here among the living.

Angie: We took her off the machines.

David: Which she never should've been on in the first place. You pull a stunt like that again, and I'll make sure you lose your medical license.

Angie: You do not tell me how to do my job. You are not my boss. You are not even a doctor.

David: Excuse me?

Angie: Now, you may have the degrees and the skills, but you don't help people. You only destroy them, but you will not destroy me, my career, or the people I care about. In other words, you better stay out of my way. Got it?

Krystal: David is going through a rough time, just like we are.

J.R.: He's using you to get his hands on Little Adam.

Krystal: Well, that is never going to happen, because I am not going to let it.

J.R.: What do you mean? It's already happening. Tad leaves. You run to Hayward.

Krystal: Like it or not, Little A is his grandson. He loves that little boy. He just wants to spend some time with him. Is that so awful? Oh, my God. Listen to me. I -- I -- I am defending him.

J.R.: See? He's already getting to you.

Krystal: It's -- it's Babe, ok? I don't like it, but there is that connection.

J.R.: And he wants you to believe that. You know, until five minutes ago, he was on the other side of the world. Now he's smack-dab in the middle of your marriage and your life, and he's feeding you all sorts of garbage about how you have this deep bond. Look, if I were you, I'd walk away while I still can.

Krystal: J.R., he has been so patient and caring, and I -- I actually feel better around him.

J.R.: Yeah, Scotch makes me feel better all the time. I can't go near it.

Krystal: I'm being careful, and the truth is, and I know how this sounds, but the truth is I really think he's changed.

J.R.: Are you insane? Don't do this to Tad.

Krystal: I am not doing anything to Tad.

J.R.: Well, what do you think he's going to say when he finds out you spent half the night with Hayward?

Krystal: He won't.

J.R.: Why not? I mean, if nothing's going on, why would you care if he knew?

Krystal: Because he won't understand, just like you don't understand, J.R., So don't make things worse.

J.R.: Fine. I won't tell him. But you will. As soon as he comes through that door, you're going to come clean about everything.

Krystal: That is not going to happen.

J.R.: No matter what Hayward says or does, I'm never going to believe that he's changed. He's still an evil, vindictive son of a bitch who wants the Martins and the Chandlers to suffer. That's his mission. He's not even close to done, so you need to tell Tad, so he can protect his family, because if you don't, I will.

[Annie makes noises]

Aidan: What's wrong now?

Annie: I'm cold. I left my kitty sweater at home. Will you get it?

Aidan: I'll go if you promise to be a good little girl and stay right here.

Annie: Mm-hmm.

Woman: Who are you? I asked you a question. Who are you?

Aidan: I, um -- I'm a secret agent, the only government operative ever to successfully infiltrate, um, an alien society. I was looking for a place to hide, and what a better place than, uh, a black hole?

Woman: This is a hospital.

Aidan: Are there any cameras here? Because I can't be seen or heard by anyone.

Woman: Ok, we better find your psychiatrist.

Man: There you are.

Woman: You know this man?

Man: Mr. Stone, admitted today. I'll take care of him.

Woman: Ok.

Man: Asking doctors about security? Not smart.

Aidan: Yeah, well, relax, all right? I know what I'm doing. I was just speaking about surveillance, because no one can know what I'm doing here.

Man: Well, trust me. No one will. I've had bribe offers from people who wanted to get out of this place, but you're the first to want to get in. What exactly are you doing here?

[Music plays while Randi poses]

Singer: Everywhere I go I am thinking of you at my work, in my car, there you are only thinking of you I knew the second I saw you I felt the moment you laid eyes on me you got my senses --

Photographer: That's it. Ok, now really go for it. This is your night. Your magic night. You're a goddess. He worships you.

[Music plays]

Singer: You know the way I like it mmm

Jake: Rusty. Hello, ladies. Double vodka. Keep the bottle handy.

Rusty: What's going on, Doc? Trouble with your girlfriend?

Jake: Nah. No, I wouldn't say it's a girlfriend. I'd say it's the one -- the one that I was waiting for. Turns out she was waiting for somebody else.

Amanda: Randi, you did so good. Amazing. Someone else thinks so, too.

Photographer: Great work.

Randi: Thanks.

Photographer: This is a dream job. So maybe you could tell me what's next for fusion. Over a drink?

Amanda: Uh, sorry. I'm unavailable.

Photographer: You go tell your guy how lucky he is.

Randi: Um, what guy?

[Phone rings]

Amanda: What do you want?

David: Progress report on Junior.

Amanda: I'm working on it. Back off.

David: Where are you?

Amanda: Fusion. I do have a real job, remember?

David: What you need to remember is you'll never have to work again if you take down J.R.

Amanda: Hey, after you're done getting changed, can I get that dress? I'm going out tonight.

Reese's Father: You were going to join my firm, become a partner. Williams and Williams.

Reese: So I didn't follow the road that you and Mom had mapped out for me. Look, I found my own way. I found Bianca, the love of my life.

Reese's Father: Reese, please.

Reese: Dad, parents are supposed to support their children. They are supposed to encourage them to do and be whatever makes them happy, but Mom, she only thinks of herself. I embarrassed her, I humiliated her, because I ruined her hopes and dreams.

Reese's Father: I am sure that the two of you can come to an understanding.

Reese: Are you joking?

Reese's Father: No, just give it a try. Come home for a visit.

Reese: Really?

Reese's Father: Yeah, how about -- how about for New Year's?

Reese: Well, New Year's in New York. There's nothing better.

Reese's Father: Huh, yeah.

Reese: Huh.

Reese's Father: We'll have champagne --

Reese: No, no, no, I --

Reese's Father: We'll watch the ball drop. Bring Gabrielle.

Reese: But not Bianca. I need you to leave. Now.

Reese's Father: Look, I came here to resolve this. All right, there has to be a way.

Reese: Uh-uh, no.

Reese's Father: I want my daughter back.

Reese: You know what? I need you to go.

Reese's Father: I'm staying at the Valley Inn.

Reese: Just go.

Reese's Father: If you want --

Reese: Just please go. Just -- just --

David: I got your page.

Zach: A coma patient woke up today.

David: Rebecca Fowler. Angie seems to think it was a miracle.

Zach: Well, make it happen for my wife. Give her a miracle.

Aidan: Well, I'm here for the cure. Why else? Can we trust her, can we trust her, can we trust her, can we --

Nurse: It's all right, Mr. Stone. I have your medication. Here you go.

Man: Please take Mr. Stone back to his room.

Nurse: Yes, sir.

Aidan and Nurse: Oh.

Jesse: And what your mother needs to do right now is keep resting.

Natalia: No, we thought that we lost you.

Rebecca: Sweetheart, I know. I know. God doesn't just hand out miracles. He was telling me to keep fighting. So I'm going to fight this cancer. Given my prognosis, is it crazy for me to want to start treatment right away?

Angie: Rebecca, if anyone can defy the odds, it's you. But you know it won't be easy.

Rebecca: Chemo, radiation. I know it can be debilitating.

Jesse: But you got us. We're going to be with you all the way.

Angie: And you will stay with us.

Rebecca: Oh, thank you so much. You've been very kind to offer that, but no. You've done more than enough. Natalia and I are going to go back to Denver now.

Angie: You're the chief of police. Tell this woman that she's not going anywhere.

Frankie: I love you, and I want you so much, mmm.

Randi: I love you, too. And thank you for being patient. I want to show you how much I love you, but I'm just not ready yet.

Frankie: Hmm.

Randi: You're disappointed?

Frankie: No. As long as it takes, as much time as you need, you're worth the wait.

David: I can't give you what you want.

Zach: Why not?

David: Because I don't know what made the other woman wake up. No doctor does. Therefore, I can't make it happen.

Zach: What about a heart transplant?

David: Kendall wouldn't meet the criteria. She would never get on the list.

Zach: I'll buy her one.

David: That's not the way it works.

Zach: Well, then, how does it work? Make it work for my wife.

David: Your wife wouldn't make it through the procedure. Kendall is gone, Zach. She's not coming back. The sooner you accept that, the better.

Zach: You don't get it, Hayward. I will never accept that Kendall is gone.

David: That's exactly what I said when I saw my infant daughter dead on the operating table. And when I carried my other daughter's body to the morgue. Believe me, I get it.

Bianca: And -- and Zach is obviously devastated, and the worst part is that I think that he -- I think he's given up. You haven't said a single word to me since I got back. What is wrong with you?

Reese: I'm just -- I'm tired. I'm tired.

Bianca: No, no, no, no, no. Don't -- don't do this. I need you right now. I need you to be here with me. Don't pull away. What is going on with you?

Reese: My father was here.

Amanda: Hi. What are you doing here?

Jake: What does it look like I'm doing?

Amanda: Just got done with work. We had this photo shoot for Valentine's Day.

Jake: Valentine's Day is stupid.

Amanda: It's only stupid if you just got dumped. Don't tell me. Soldier girl's saluting someone else.

Jake: Valentine's Day and April Fool's Day and Halloween are all for idiots. Is it Halloween right now? Are you a fancy, uh, fancy call girl? Is that what you're dressed up as?

Amanda: Ha ha.

J.R.: Hey.

Amanda: Hey.

J.R.: I'm glad you called.

Jake: Rusty.

J.R.: Want to get a table?

Amanda: Please. Looks like someone is learning the other side of being kicked to the curb.

Jake: It's ok. I get it, I get it. I get it now. I get it. First, it was me, and then after me, you're playing hooker for -- for J.R. I got it.

Amanda: It's ok.

Jake: Hey, it's all right. Hey, she doesn't disappoint. You know what I mean?

[J.R. punches Jake]

Jesse: She is the doctor.

Angie: You and Natalia will both need a lot of support. You'll have a wonderful oncologist, terrific nurses, and you'll have us. Our home is your home. And we're going to get through this as a family.

Zach: Wake up. Let's get out of here. Come on. Wake up. Got to go. Got to go. Come on, let's go. Let's pack you up. Pack all -- just wake up! Hey! Come on! Let's go! Let's pack it up. Everything's fine.

Officer: Sir, why don't you come with us --

Zach: Wake up. Get off me!

Zach: Just let her wake up.

Bianca: Reese, this is huge. That this was a major step your father took in coming here. Well, how did it go?

Reese: It was a total disaster.

Bianca: What do you mean? What -- what happened?

Reese: How could you do that? How could you call my parents and tell them? How could you do this to me?

Annie: Daddy.

[Door closes]

Annie: Did you bring me my sweater?

Aidan: I couldn't find it, but I did bring you this. This blanket's going to keep you really nice and warm.

Annie: I'm sleepy. Can you tell me a bedtime story, please?

Aidan: Sure, honey. Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was this big castle. The castle was on top of the hill. Inside the castle was this princess.

[A camera is recording Annie's room]
