Reese: Well, maybe we could stand up on the bar and tell everyone to get the hell out! Or maybe we can get them to lend a hand, you know? It's a benefit for Pine Valley. Think we're going to do a lot of good?
Bianca: If we can get some big spenders to open up their wallets, maybe.
Reese: Ooh, I think I see one now. Watch me pounce and get an early donation.
Reese: Hi there. Hi, I'm Reese Williams. I'm, uh, Bianca's partner.
J.R.: Hi, J.R. Chandler, nice to meet you. I'm looking for Amanda Dillon. Have you seen her?
Bianca: You son of a bitch.
David: Just can't keep me out of your head, can you?
[Krystal pants as she wakes up]
Tad: What's wrong?
Tad: Did you have a bad dream? Hmm? It's ok, sweetie, you're here, you're safe. It's all right, come on. Try to get back to sleep.
Krystal: I can't.
Tad: Baby, it was just a bad dream.
Krystal: It was a dream about David.
David: Turning J.R. into a drooling, pathetic drunk is just the beginning. I want so much more, starting with my grandson, and with your help, I will have it all.
Amanda: You want to take J.R.'s son away from him?
David: What did you think I wanted, Amanda, to get J.R. drunk, so I can steal his marbles? Come on. And you just saw firsthand what kind of a man he really is. Look what he did to you.
Amanda: That wasn't fair, what you had me do, dressing up like Babe.
David: All right, ok, all right, look, the dress thing was a big mistake. My fault, ok? I didn't anticipate him being quite as disturbed as he apparently is. But it did prove, however, that the man is not fit to raise that little boy. So, the question is, Amanda, are you going to help me or not?
Amanda: I want to know what you meant.
David: About what?
Amanda: About wanting more. How much more are you after?
Aidan: No. Don't sign it.
Greenlee: They have to get the bullet out. It's in a very dangerous place. They have to operate.
Jake: I'll be outside, ok?
Greenlee: Ok. You don't understand? They say you could die if you don't have the surgery.
Aidan: It all went wrong.
Greenlee: What did?
Aidan: Emma's kidnapping. Annie's whole plan. It's my fault.
Greenlee: What do you mean?
Aidan: I knew about it, Greenlee. I was part of it. I was in on the whole thing.
Ryan: Admit it, Annie.
Annie: Admit what?
Ryan: That you were behind the kidnapping.
Annie: Oh, right, so you can haul me off to jail and keep Emma from me forever? Such a shame. You could have had everything. But now, I will make sure you end up with nothing.
Ryan: Put the gun down, Annie.
Annie: You can't do this.
Ryan: I can't do what?
Annie: Take it all away! We're all together again. This is how it's supposed to be. We're a family. We've Emma back, and you and I -- I love you, Ryan.
Ryan: I know, Annie, I know. Everything you did is because of that.
Annie: It has to go back to being the way it was.
Ryan: Ok, well, then just put the gun down.
Annie: No, but you want to take it all away.
Ryan: No, I don't, I want to help you, Annie. I want to do what's best for you and for Emma and -- and -- and for us, ok? I just want the truth.
Annie: Stop, please. Please don't make me do this.
J.R.: Bianca, what the hell is wrong?
Bianca: My mother told me what you did to Amanda Dillon.
Reese: Bianca, what's going on?
J.R.: Your mother has a tendency to exaggerate.
Bianca: You tried to rape Amanda.
J.R.: I did not try to rape her. I got angry with her. She was wearing Babe's dress. I blew a fuse.
Bianca: Oh, like you did the night that you threw me off a balcony?
J.R.: That was an accident. I didn't come down here to get chewed out for old mistakes. I got angry with her, it wasn't her fault and -- why the hell am I explaining this to you?
Reese: Hey, what was that all about?
Bianca: I don't know.
David: My grandson is all I'm interested in. Now that Babe's gone, it's all I want. It's all I care about.
Amanda: Huh. Your mask slipped a little bit there. Tell me what else, or should I say who else? What, is it Krystal? Are you in love with her, or do you just want to steal her away from Tad to hurt him?
David: You know something? Now you're starting to annoy me.
Amanda: I'm starting to figure out what you're up to. You're here to settle a lot of old scores, aren't you? Adam, J.R., Tad --
David: I got to tell you, Amanda, you got quite the imagination.
Amanda: Everyone else is trying to rebuild this town. You come back determined to tear it up again. What, all because of Babe?
David: All right, that's enough. Get out. Don't even dream about saying anything to anybody, you hear me?
Amanda: Ok, I hear you.
Tad: You want to talk about it?
Krystal: David just keeps showing up in my dreams kind of like in those movies where the bad guy -- you think he's dead and then, wham, there he is.
Tad: Well, as much as I may hate his guts, kind of makes sense. You know, two people share a child, two people lose a child, there's a bond.
Krystal: No, but you know, we didn't make Babe out of love. I mean, David Hayward was one mistake on some lonely night. David has absolutely nothing to do with who Babe was.
Tad: I'm not implying he does.
Krystal: I just wish I would dream about Babe. I mean, I wish she would just come to me and talk to me and tell me that she's ok, but no.
Tad: Honey, honey, honey, you're doing it again. So you had a dream about Hayward, big deal. That's all it was, was just a dream.
Krystal: No, they're more than that. They're more like premonitions, you know? And they scare the hell out of me.
Jake: Hey, I really think, uh, you should get down here. I know it's late but --
Tad: Oh, God. Please, please tell me that Aidan came out of surgery ok.
Jake: Well, that's the thing. He hasn't even gone in yet. He just woke up and, apparently, he doesn't want to do it. I -- I don't understand but I was thinking, you know, maybe you're his old pal --
Tad: Thanks for calling. I -- I'll be right there. Baby, I got to get to the hospital.
Krystal: No, I'll come with you.
Ryan: You can't do this, Annie. You can't shoot me. Your little girl's right upstairs, and she'll always know that Mommy shot Daddy and killed him. And above all else, you have always wanted to protect and be there for Emma.
Annie: Emma needs her family back. She needs a home with her mother and her father. She -- she needs to feel safe.
Ryan: I know, I know. And despite everything that you've done, you've always wanted to keep Emma safe.
Annie: It was Di. It was her fault.
Ryan: If that's true, then why are you pointing a gun at me right now?
Annie: Because you refuse to see, Ryan. You refuse to accept that she's made a fool out of you. She's been using you. Greenlee.
Aidan: Annie saw how angry I was. She saw how empty I felt. She took a chance. She told me that she had a plan. She was going to get Ryan away from you. She swore to me that Emma would be safe. She would get Ryan back and then the -- and I would get you back. And this was -- this was right before the tornadoes hit.
Greenlee: And then what happened?
Aidan: I came looking for you and Ryan --
Aidan: And I was going to tell you everything that -- that Annie told me.
[Aidan winces, then sighs]
Aidan: And then I saw you and Ryan together. You were looking at Ryan the way you once looked at me. I didn't know what to do. My whole world had turned upside down.
Annie: It's Greenlee making all these insane accusations and you're believing her, because she wants to take Emma away from me again, because -- because she wants to take away all my hope.
Ryan: This isn't Greenlee, Annie. This is me, ok? Now, I -- I want you to look at me, just -- just really look at me and know that all I'm after here is the truth, ok? That's it. For Emma's sake and -- and -- and for our family's sake, ok? And if you want to shoot me because of that, then you're going to have to go ahead and shoot me, because I'm not going to leave here any other way without knowing exactly what happened. Now, if you did do it, I just want you to think of Emma, and I want you to tell me the truth, ok, and I will help you.
Annie: I can't kill you. I love you. It's true, all of it. I planned the whole thing. God help me, I had to have you back, and it was the only way -- the only way.
Ryan: Tell me. Tell me everything.
Annie: My whole world was falling apart. I lost you. I lost Emma. Nobody believed me that I was being stalked or that I had been attacked. That part was real, Ryan, I swear. I had to do something or else I was going to go crazy, and I couldn't let that happen. I needed to -- I needed to feel in control of something again. I needed to get it all back.
Ryan: How could you possibly have thought that kidnapping our daughter would get it all back?
Annie: Greenlee's blinded you. She's tricked you. She's tricked you into thinking you still have the same feelings for her that you used to have, but you don't. I know you don't, because I know how you feel about me. My plan wasn't perfect. Ok, I know that, and I know some things went wrong, but you have to know that I always made sure that Emma was safe.
Ryan: But Emma wasn't safe, was she?
Annie: Well, I didn't know that Di was going to turn on me like that. But she found out what was happening. She just decided to take things into her own hands. I swear, Ryan, that was not an act. If I hadn't fought her for that gun, she would have killed me. If she had just kept her mouth shut and waited, everything would have been fine but instead --
Ryan: Instead, Aidan is in the hospital, and he could die.
Aidan: Then the tornadoes had passed, and I found out that Annie had gone through with her plan.
Greenlee: Why didn't you tell Ryan or the police?
Aidan: I didn't know everything that Annie had planned, where Emma was or who else was involved. I just -- I thought that -- that I could find Emma, and I could bring her back safe, if I could just play along with -- with Annie, if I could just make Annie believe that I was doing this to get you away from Ryan.
Greenlee: When were you going to say something?
Aidan: When I knew that Emma was safe. I screwed up. My feelings get in the way. I understand.
Aidan: Why you don't believe me.
Greenlee: But I do. I do believe you, and Annie's not going to get away with this. But before you help put her away, you have to give them permission to fix you up.
Aidan: I've -- I've told you everything that you need to know. Now just -- just go away.
Krystal: Oh, Tad, Tad, you go ahead. Um, I'll be right there. Hey. Are you ok? Something happen at home?
Angie: Jesse was already home with Rebecca when I got there. We sat down and had some dinner. She knew him better than I did.
Krystal: I'm sure she felt the same way about you.
Angie: A part of me couldn't take it and part of me felt that I should give Rebecca time alone with Jesse. She has so little of it left. Now I'm regretting it.
Krystal: Keeping a marriage on track isn't easy. I mean, it's tough enough as it is without somebody popping up from the past, somebody with a deep connection. Complicates the hell out of things.
Angie: Complicates? That's an understatement.
Krystal: Angie, I don't know anybody who could have been as together or as understanding as you've been.
Angie: Oh, God, you know to -- to hell with being so damn understanding. I'm sick of it.
Tad: So, what the hell's going on with Aidan?
Greenlee: You'll have to find that out yourself. I can't get through to him. Maybe you can. Please try.
Jake: Why -- why is he refusing? Why -- why can't you get through to him?
Greenlee: Believe me, Jake, I'm the last person he needs right now.
J.R.: I've been looking for you.
Amanda: What do you want?
J.R.: To say I'm sorry.
Aidan: Now they bring in the big guns.
Tad: Nah. Just a good friend, I promise.
Tad: Besides, what are you bitching about? I'm unarmed.
Aidan: Yeah, well, I'm glad -- well, someone already got there first.
Tad: Yeah, so I hear. Hurts, doesn't it? So, why are you standing in the way of everybody around here? Let them do their jobs.
Aidan: This -- this operation is risky. I don't like the odds.
Tad: Well, when have you ever given a damn about the odds? Huh? The odds are worse if you don't get that operation. Come on. You're a soldier. You know as well as I do -- eventually that bullet's going to shift. If it tears anything open around the neighborhood of your heart, things are going to get messy real quick.
Aidan: Well, you can have my stuff when I'm gone.
Tad: Really? Oh, sweet. I feel so much better. You know, I walked in here, I was bummed because, you know -- what's the deal, Fish and Chips? Why are you standing in the way of this operation?
Aidan: I screwed up.
Tad: Oh. No, you didn't, mate. Emma's alive.
Aidan: And Di is dead. And Greenlee would have been, too, if I hadn't dived in the way of that bullet.
Annie: That's the last thing I wanted to have happen, Aidan getting hurt, but I didn't shoot him, Di did.
Ryan: She was aiming for you.
Annie: All I was thinking about was you and Emma. Think back with me, think back to our wedding day. We were so, so happy. And I know -- I know I've made some mistakes. But loving you wasn't one of them. I mean, was that really so wrong of me to fall in love with you?
Ryan: No, Annie.
Annie: So then, why can't you just admit how you feel about me? I know -- I know you love me, Ryan. Otherwise, you would have gone to the police the second that you thought that I was involved in this kidnapping, but you didn't. It had to be for a reason.
Ryan: There was a reason, Annie. I wanted to make sure that Emma was all right.
Annie: I think you also wanted to make sure that I was all right. Don't deny it, Ryan. I saw it in your eyes. And that island, that morning, I felt it in your kiss. Tell me you still love me.
[Door opens and Greenlee appears]
Reese: You ok?
Bianca: Yeah. Uh -- I -- I don't know. I -- I'm sorry, I just --
Reese: It's ok, it's ok. I understand. It's just -- it's the -- I get it.
Bianca: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think once -- those, uh, those buttons are just pushed really easily. Once it's happened to you, the emotions just kind of hover right below the surface, waiting to jump out when you least expect it. My mother went through it, too. And much as I hate to admit it, she could have blown what happened to Amanda out of proportions.
Reese: Ok, still, he could have been more sensitive about it.
Bianca: J.R.? Sensitive? That's just not who he is.
Reese: Did he really -- did he push you off a balcony?
Bianca: Yes, he -- he did, but I'm -- I'm still not sure if he intended to push me as hard as he did.
Bianca: Did I scare you?
Reese: Look, I've just -- I've never seen you like that, that's all. I mean not -- not to that degree.
Bianca: Well, I mean, like I said, button pushed.
Reese: Look, I don't mean to be insensitive, sweetie, because I know -- I know what you dealt with after going through the rape but -- are you sure that's the button that's being pushed?
Bianca: What do you mean?
Reese: You remember that time outside Le Topierre when that guy was shoving that girl? He was harassing her. You went off on him but you were calm, you were cool. I don't know, I'm just getting the feeling that it's something else.
Bianca: Yeah, you're right.
Ryan: Go, please.
Greenlee: I really need to talk to you.
Ryan: Not now.
Annie: No, that's ok. Stay. If anyone can help Ryan understand what I did, it's you.
Greenlee: What are you talking about?
Annie: It's ok. I'll tell her. I'll tell her. It's true. I kidnapped my own child.
Greenlee: So, you put Ryan through hell, you're responsible for Di Henry's death, and maybe Aidan's.
Annie: Now, now, now, Greenlee, let's not talk about me. I want to talk about you, because you know exactly how I feel, because you've done the exact same thing. I kidnapped Emma, you kidnapped Spike.
Greenlee: I'm not you.
Annie: Really? Really? Because everything you've done lately has been because you're in love with Ryan -- all the lies you've told him, all the lies you've told Aidan. So are we really that different?
Ryan: Greenlee has nothing to do with this, ok, Annie?
Annie: Oh, but doesn't she, though, Ryan? Look at her. Look at her. There's guilt all over her face. She knows she's responsible. From the day she sent the police to our frickin' wedding, she's had blood all over her hands. Isn't that right, Greenlee? Guilty, guilty, guilty.
Greenlee: If they give you some chalk, maybe you can write that on the walls of your cell.
Annie: Shut up!
Ryan: All right, that's enough. That's enough.
Emma: Mommy, what's wrong?
Tad: And I guess losing Greenlee has nothing to do with this.
Tad: You're a liar. Come on, Fish and Chips, who do you think you're talking to? You don't think I know what it's like to have to start all over again, to have what you always dreamed of only to find out you were wrong? Yeah, it sucks, but it's not worth throwing in the towel over. Nothing is. Oy, look at me. I need you. I need you here. I'm not saying you get out of here we're going to go down to Lacey's and start picking out curtains, but too many people are gone -- Di, Babe. I need my partner. Something happens to you, it'll break my heart. So stop being a stubborn son of a bitch, sign the release to get you out of here. Once we do, I will beat the hell out of you three times a day. I promise.
J.R.: Seeing you in Babe's dress -- I don't know. I just kind of snapped.
Amanda: It was bad judgment on my part.
J.R.: Still, yelling at you like I did trying to rip it off -- that was -- it was just wrong.
Amanda: Thank you for the apology.
J.R.: Are you all right here? The place looks a little tore up.
Amanda: Yeah, well, I'm just lucky it didn't all get swept out to sea, I guess, by the tornadoes. I mean, I want to take it to the dry dock for repairs, but the damn engine's out. And with the whole town needing to be fixed, just try and find a repairman.
J.R.: I'll take a look at your engine for you. You know, I did work on a tramp steamer. I know a few things about boats.
Amanda: Oh, no. I mean, thank you, but I'll get it looked at someday soon.
J.R.: Hey, I'm just trying to make up for what I did any way I can. Do me a favor. Let me look at that engine.
Amanda: Ok. Go ahead. See what you can do.
Bianca: You know, I don't -- I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just everything. I mean, I do have how many of the top 10 causes of stress in my life right now? Moving, new baby, planning a wedding, loved one in the hospital.
Reese: Yeah, that loved one in the hospital you have been feeling guilty about for a little over nine months. Come on, I saw how many times you tried to pick up the phone and call her and tell her about the baby.
Bianca: I should have called. I should have told her.
Reese: Yeah, and you will still have your chance. You will. Ok? And when you tell her and everything's said and done, she's going to be hugging you and her brand-new little niece.
Bianca: You don't know my sister.
Reese: No, but I know you. Oh, sweetie.
Pete: Whoa-ho-ho. Are we interrupting something?
Reese: No, we were just waiting for you guys.
Randi: Well, we're here. We're ready to work, and I've brought some help.
Randi: This is Natalia.
Natalia: I hope I'm not in the way.
Reese: No. Nice to meet you.
Bianca: It's nice to meet you.
Natalia: Hi. Nice to meet you, too.
Angie: The woman is dying. She deserves some happiness and caring. So, I feel like I'm pushing Jesse back to her, and I'm getting madder at him every minute. And I know that I shouldn't be. I mean, he didn't go looking for this woman. And the situation that he's in -- I mean, no one could predict what was going to happen. And I'm still in shock.
Krystal: Of course, you are. Emotions aren't supposed to be rational. And like I said, you try to dam them up, and you're just going to build a big old pool of resentment. You need to have this conversation with Jesse. Uh, it's my cue to leave.
Jesse: How you doing, Babe?
Jesse: Well, Rebecca finally went to sleep. Did you find those files you needed?
Angie: I didn't need any files. I made it up.
Jesse: Figured as much.
Angie: I was feeling like a third wheel.
Jesse: You've got to be kidding me, Angela. A third wheel? You have gone so far above and beyond the call of duty here with your compassion, with --
Angie: That's not what I'm feeling. That's not what I'm feeling. Do you know how hard this is for me?
Jesse: Of course, I know.
Angie: I mean, I know that Rebecca is dying, and I am so sorry for the pain that she is going through, but --
Jesse: But? Come on, go ahead. Go on.
Angie: And I finally got you back, and now I feel like I don't have you back. I mean, not -- not really. And I know that I shouldn't -- I shouldn't think like that, because that's not what really is happening, but, oh, my God, it's tearing -- it's tearing me up.
Krystal: Tad, how's Aidan?
Tad: Stubborn as a mule, but they're getting ready for surgery.
Jake: I'm going to scrub.
Tad: All right.
David: You're not scrubbing in for anything.
Jake: What are you doing here?
David: I just received a page telling me that you're about to attempt another risky procedure. How many lawsuits do you honestly believe this hospital can handle?
Tad: Go away, Hayward.
David: I work here, Tad. What's your excuse?
Krystal: David, stop this. Aidan needs the surgery tonight. You're just acting out of spite.
David: I am simply acting as a responsible cardiac surgeon who knows that this man is not capable of performing this procedure.
Jake: You're acting like an idiot. Move. I'm scrubbing.
David: Isn't this where you take a swing at me and tell me to stay away from your family?
Annie: Oh, it's ok, my sweetheart. We were just, um -- we're all so excited to have you back, and we were all just celebrating. That's all. No worries.
Ryan: You watch Annie. I'm going to make sure Emma is ok.
Ryan: Hey, sweetheart. Mommy -- Mommy is ok. She's so happy that you're home, but you should be in bed. You should be resting, ok? So, I'll take you back upstairs, ok?
Annie: I love you, Emma. I'm going to win, you know. Ryan's not going to turn me in. He wouldn't do that to his daughter, and she means more to him than anyone or anything and that includes you.
Greenlee: You may be right about Emma.
Annie: Do you really think Ryan would call the cops on me? Ok. Well, I have an appointment to get to, so --
Greenlee: Stay right there. Don't take another step.
Pete: All right, ladies. I've got some tunes incoming.
[Dance music plays]
Singer: As I'm walking the beat
Singers: On the ground
Singer: As I walk to the beat
Reese: There is a ton of work to be done. I'm going to crack the whip.
Bianca: Oh, no, no, no, no, you don't. Come on. I would rather dance.
Reese: But --
Bianca: Come on. Just one.
J.R.: I found your culprit. Carburetor needs to be rebuilt.
Amanda: You know how?
J.R.: Sure. I just need a few parts.
Amanda: Where do we get them?
J.R.: Actually, there are some old engines that have been dumped at the boathouse. I could probably scavenge what we need tonight.
Amanda: Oh. Well, that's really nice of you, but there's no rush.
J.R.: Oh, no. It's no big deal. It's better than sitting at home.
Amanda: Oh, wait, wait a sec.
Amanda: Hold on. You have grease all over your face. Come here. There.
Jesse: I know this is tearing you up, but you can't hold something like this inside. This is what makes us sick, and we start making bad decisions. I know. I've been there. When you left tonight, all I could think about was you and how you must really be hurting inside, because you've got to keep all of this pent up, baby.
Angie: I want to -- I want to be so mad at you. I want to be so mad at you and at times, I am mad at you, but I can't stay mad at you, because I love you. I love you, and I know -- I know how much you love me. I know you do. Oh, God, I --
Jake: All right. Let's get this show on the road.
David: Just a minute.
Jake: This is my operating theater. Get out. Out. I want you out.
David: I went over your daddy's head, hotshot. I'm here at the request of the board of directors. So you can start your cutting, but I'm here to assist. And when you screw up -- which we both know you will -- I'll be here to take over.
Annie: You have my gun.
Greenlee: Ryan didn't want you going anywhere.
Annie: Huh. Well, I guess there's no hope left here. I guess I've really been fooling myself. But you got to admit I went for it.
Annie: I doubled down big-time. I just happened to have run out of luck and lost.
Greenlee: This isn't a game. These are people's lives.
Annie: You're right. You're right and sometimes in life you have to accept failure. Isn't that true? In retrospect, I guess I really shouldn't have pushed so hard. It's my nature, really. In all modesty, I'm a clever woman, but I'm also very passionate, and sometimes the heart trumps the brain.
Annie: I guess I just loved too much.
Annie: Well, I think it's time I just quietly slipped into the sunset, don't you?
Greenlee: What are you doing? Don't move.
Annie: No, I just feel a little faint. I'm going to go get some fresh air.
Ryan: What is going on? What --
Annie: Oh, Greenlee has been so, so helpful. I'm afraid I've made a fool of myself, Ryan -- chasing after you the way I have? To be honest with you, I think I've been pretty damn pathetic. But she's made it really clear what I have to do.
Ryan: Annie! Annie!
[Annie screams as she jumps off the penthouse balcony]
Announcer: It's the event of the season.
Greenlee: Oh, my God!
[Annie hums "The Wedding March" as she approaches Ryan holding a large bloody knife]
Annie: This time, no one's going to interfere with our wedding.
Ryan: Who did you hurt with the knife, Annie?
[Erica lies unconscious on the floor]
