Zach: Is she alive?
Jake: Yes, yes. We relieved the pressure in her brain, and we got all the bone fragments --
Zach: What's the bad news? What happened?
Jake: There was a complication. When we went to close, she had a seizure.
Bianca: What does that mean?
Jake: Well, it's a little too soon to tell yet. We tried to get her out of the anesthesia. She's unresponsive so far.
Zach: She's not waking up? My wife's in a coma?
Adam: Oh, my God.
Ryan: Erica? Erica?
Adam: She must've called 911 already.
Pete: Not from here. The lines are still down.
Colby: She probably took off on foot. Once she heard about Kendall, nothing was stopping her from getting to the hospital.
Annie: What about Emma? She's not here.
Adam: Why would you expect your daughter to be here?
Ryan: Because we found this in the tunnels.
Annie: Emma was wearing this when she disappeared.
Ryan: And you said Annie's stalker was hiding out in there, so we think he's got her.
Adam: The room that -- that we were trapped in -- somebody had been living down there.
Annie: What? Did you see him? Do -- do you know who it was?
Adam: No, I don't know who it was, but whoever it was had been there quiet a while. There were all sorts of newspaper articles and clippings and -- and photos.
Ryan: Photos of who?
Adam: Babe, mostly.
Jake: It's not necessarily a coma. When a person has a seizure the way that Kendall did, it's not unusual to be unresponsive for a period of time.
Greenlee: What's the prognosis then?
Jake: Well, first thing we do is make sure she doesn't have any, you know, more seizures, and then we put her on medicine.
Bianca: Zach, don't.
J.R.: She -- she's dead.
David: No. No. No. Babe? Babe? Babe, you can't be. Come here, come here. Come here. It's ok. Baby? Babe?
J.R.: She's gone.
J.R.: Just leave her alone.
David: Come on, Babe. Babe, please. Babe, breathe.
Doctor: What are you doing? You can't be in here. This is a sterile environment. Call security.
Jake: Leave him alone. Leave him alone.
Zach: Hey. You made it. You pulled through. You, uh -- you beat the odds. Everything's going to be fine. I'm fine. The boys are fine. Every -- all you need to do is rest and get better. I need you to come back to us. I need you to come back, ok?
Jesse: Were either one of you hurt when this thing hit?
Frankie: They're fine. You and I? Not so much.
Angie: Frankie --
Frankie: Who the hell do you think you are?
Jesse: I'm your father, Frankie.
Frankie: No, no. My father wouldn't have lied to my mother, and he wouldn't have lied to me.
Jesse: I'm your father, and there's an explanation.
Frankie: You had another family, a whole 'nother life, and you chose to lie to us about it. All this time, I thought I had a man who I idolized back in my life. I'm seeing that that was, what? Just wishful thinking? That man, he never existed at all.
Adam: A half a dozen twisters. My God. Where is J.R.? Is he all right?
Colby: J.R.'s all right.
Adam: Little -- Little Adam?
Colby: So is Little A, but Babe --
Ryan: The Comeback was hit, and, um, Babe's in bad shape, Adam.
Adam: Are they at the hospital?
Colby: I -- I'm going with you.
Adam: No, no. No, sweetheart, no. No, there could be another twister any second. You're -- you're much better off if you stay here and not on the road, ok? Now, if you hear the sirens, go to the cellar immediately, all right? Do you hear me? Ok.
Colby: Oh, thank God you're all right.
Adam: Yeah. Be safe. I love you.
Pete: I'll stay right here with her, sir.
Annie: We have to go to the police, Ryan. We have proof now, proof that I wasn't imagining things.
Ryan: I think we should go and find out what Adam saw, dig out anything we can to find any evidence to figure out who this guy is and why he would take Emma.
J.R.: She's gone.
David: Oh, baby. Everything I've done. I came back here for you.
Tad: I don't know why you're here, and I don't care, but do the decent thing and leave. Just go back to wherever you came from and stay there. Please.
Krystal: Oh, baby. My baby. My baby. Why? Why?
Bianca: Why won't they tell us what's going on? This is so wrong, so unfair, so my fault.
Greenlee: What are you talking about?
Bianca: Kendall was trying to make sure that I was safe when the tornado hit. If I hadn't been here, she would've protected herself, and she would never have been on that operating table in the first place.
Greenlee: Don't do that. Don't go there. This was a freak storm. You had nothing to do with what happened. She's going to make it through this, and she's going to hold her new baby niece, just like I am now.
Greenlee: Thank you for letting me hold her like this. I'd understand if you had felt uncomfortable about it.
Bianca: Greenlee, you're family. I guess you've had a pretty rough year, huh?
Greenlee: My friendship with Kendall, it's never been tested like that before, but after everything we've been through, we're closer than ever.
Bianca: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?
Greenlee: Yeah. Who said that anyway?
Bianca: I don't know. If it wasn't a woman, it should've been. She told me what happened, about Spike, and also what happened when you and Zach were trapped in that shelter. She feels the same way about you, you know? It seems like your love, your friendship, it always trumps all the bad stuff. You guys are connected. You have a pretty incredible friendship.
Greenlee: Yeah. We do.
Zach: So now what?
Jake: Well, now we monitor the brain activity, and the next 48 hours could tell us what the real prognosis will be.
Zach: You did this to her.
Jake: Look, I know you're upset, ok? But you have to understand --
Zach: You need to be quiet. You operated when the power was off. Now, the doctor said that you should stop, but you didn't. Why is that? You think you're God's gift to surgery? Your ego couldn't let go? You just had to keep going? You put her where she is. Pray that she comes back.
Ryan: This guy definitely has a plan.
Pete: If he has clippings and photos of Babe, I mean, well, if he has a thing for Babe, why is he taking Emma?
Ryan: I think I know.
Angie: Frankie, let your father talk.
Jesse: You know I had to give up my life with the two of you in order to keep you safe.
Frankie: Why were they safe, and we weren't?
Jesse: Frankie, Frankie --
Frankie: Whoa, well, where we going?
Jesse: All right. Papel was looking for a man on his own, not a man with a family. I had to assume a completely different identity, all right? Now, Natalia and her mother, they gave me that cover, and now it's -- ugh, now it's just so complicated.
Frankie: Oh, yeah, made even more complicated, because you chose to keep it a secret from all of us.
Jesse: I tried not to hurt anybody.
Frankie: Yeah, well, it's too late.
Natalia: Nobody's trying to take your father away. My momma's always known that he belongs with the two of you, and we've had to accept that.
Frankie: How can you accept that? He's your father, too.
Natalia: I've dealt with it.
Angie: Well, then why did you -- why did you come to Pine Valley?
Natalia: My mother. She's not in a good place. She's hurting real bad. Dad, please.
Frankie: Natalia's mother is in really bad shape. She asked me to go see her, and I said I would to see if I could help.
Frankie: Ah, here we go. And it begins. We can take turns, you know?
Jesse: Franklin. I made my decisions, some of them almost 20 years ago.
Frankie: Why don't we work out some kind of schedule? They can have you on the odd weeks, Easter, and Thanksgiving, and we can have you on Christmas and Labor Day, but you, you get to have April Fool's Day all to yourself.
Frankie: I've got to get back to work.
Angie: Frankie, you need to have that cut on your hand looked at.
Frankie: No, what I need to do is get the hell out of here.
Jesse: Franklin --
Frankie: What -- don't you dare try to worry about me now. Go, take care, and do whatever with the other family you got now. I just --
Bianca: Oh, I know.
Greenlee: How is she?
Zach: She's not waking up, not responding. Jake did this.
Bianca: Zach, don't. He was trying to save her life.
Zach: He was trying to save his own ego. Other doctors told him to stop when the power went out, and he kept going. That is why my wife is suffering now.
Greenlee: Don't do this.
Zach: Don't do what?
Joe: Bianca, I just got word about Erica. It seems she's all right.
Bianca: Thank God.
Joe: She, uh, flagged down an ambulance and will be here shortly.
Bianca: Oh, thank you.
Zach: Ok, Joe, I'm sorry for interrupting. What are we going to do about my wife? Your son screwed up.
Joe: Zach, everyone is here, doing the best they can.
Zach: Don't do it. Don't give me your "save your ass" speech, Joe. Your son screwed up, and because of his irresponsibility, my wife is a coma. Now, you take him off the case and get a doctor in here who can fix this, or I swear I will take this hospital down faster than any storm ever could.
Joe: Let me talk to Jake and the rest of the surgical team. Now, a head neurosurgeon finally got here, but he's been in the O.R. most of the time. Now, he's going to take over Kendall's case regardless. Jake was just filling in, because Kendall's life was at risk.
Zach: Kendall's life is at risk, because your son screwed up, because he wanted to play God.
Zach: What? Hey. Hello, boys.
Rachael: They were missing you and asking about their mom.
Joe: We're doing everything we can. I'll be in touch.
Zach: Hey, it's ok. Hey, you're asking about your mom?
Jesse: Baby, I'm so sorry for putting you and Frankie through all of this.
Angie: What's her name?
Jesse: You do understand that I never thought I'd be able to --
Angie: What is Natalia's mother's name?
Angie: Tell me about her.
Angie: I want to know everything. I want to know where you lived, how you celebrated family holidays. I want to know it all.
Jesse: What good could that possibly do?
Angie: It will give me some perspective. You fell in love with another woman. You had a child together. You -- a life with them, a home with them.
Jesse: I know this hurts, but, Angela, if I thought there was the slightest chance of coming back to you, you know that I --
Angie: It doesn't hurt because you became involved with another woman. What hurts is that you told them how much you loved them, and then you just left them. You thought that you could just walk away from Rebecca and Natalia the way you walked away from Frankie and me.
Frankie: Let me get the next charts in the queue, please. Come -- look at you. Come on, people are dying! Damn.
Taylor: Hey, what's going on?
Frankie: Hey, we're in the middle of a major disaster in case you haven't noticed.
Taylor: What happened to your hand?
Frankie: Nothing, it's just a scratch. Excuse me -- what?
Taylor: Hey, you can't control things here any more than you could over there, but the same rules apply. Just do what you can and give yourself a break.
Frankie: Thank you, but I just found out I have a sister that I don't even know about and a father who just screwed it up.
Zach: Your mom is sleeping right now. She's been through a lot. We all have. You know, she's a little like, uh, like Sleeping Beauty. She's going to wait for the right time to wake up. You know what she's dreaming about? Two strong boys. That's going to make her better. Hey, I want you guys to meet somebody? That is your new cousin.
Bianca: She doesn't have a name yet.
Zach: So you'll know what we do? You, you, me, Bianca, we'll find a cool name for her. It'll be all right.
Taylor: Let there be light, huh? Jesse Hubbard and I just got the generator up and purring. That's pretty impressive, huh?
Jake: Very impressive. You guys helped save some lives today.
Taylor: Yeah. I was just on my way to get fitted for my -- my cape and some tights. What's going on with you?
Jake: Just spent some time digging around in Kendall Slater's brain, is all.
Taylor: I'm sorry. Will she be all right?
Jake: She's alive.
Taylor: Well, thank God for you then, huh? I'm sure you did everything you could.
Jake: When the tornado hit and the lights went out, I -- I felt like I was back in Africa there for a second, working without a net and no rules, no backup. I -- I forgot where I was just for a moment, you know, and I just pushed forward, determined to do the impossible, I guess, save a life, with all the odds stacked against me. Ahem.
Taylor: And you did. You saved her life.
Jake: She had a seizure. She's unresponsive.
Krystal: Babe. What am I going to do without you? I miss you so much.
Krystal: I love you.
J.R.: I'm so sorry, Babe. I'm sorry that I wasn't the husband that I should've been all those times. I've always loved you. And I always will.
Ryan: Where the hell is my daughter?
David: Get your hands off me, Lavery!
Ryan: You took Emma once. You took her again.
David: I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I came here to see my daughter. I don't give a damn about yours.
David: Ow! Ow, son of a --
Tad: I told you to leave, so be smart. Go.
Annie: He has Emma.
Ryan: Where is she?
David: I don't know what you're talking about.
Ryan: Where is she? Where is my girl?
Joe: Ryan, not now. Babe just died.
David: You want to pound someone? Here's your man. J.R. killed Babe.
Tad: That's enough.
David: I came back here to save her from you. But it was too late. You killed her. All of you, you can all go to hell. And I hope I send you there.
Nurse: Mr. Slater?
Nurse: Mrs. Slater's been moved to the ICU.
Zach: Thank you.
Nurse: I'm afraid the children won't be allowed in.
Zach: I know. That's ok. Ah, it's all right. Come on. You'll go downstairs with Rachael, and, uh, I'll get them when it's time to go home. Come on.
Greenlee: I, um, I'll -- I'll watch the baby, if you want to go see her.
Bianca: Thank you.
Jesse: Having to leave you and Frankie the way I had to, it -- it nearly killed me, Angela. After the escape, I ran. I ran. I ran to where I ran myself straight into a psych ward. I broke. I mean, the thought of life without you and Franklin wasn't an option for me. Rebecca, she helped me back from the edge. She saved my life, Angela.
Angie: And you had a child with her.
Jesse: A child I love very much. But Rebecca, she knew there was a huge part of me that she could never touch. Never. She accepted that. She accepted that I could never let you go.
Angie: But you let her go.
Jesse: She insisted that I leave. Then when Frankie got sick, and I came back here, and I saw you, she even knew before I did that we would find each other again, so she -- she pushed me away for her sake as well as mine, and I hated the way it ended, but it had to end, baby. I mean, I had love for Rebecca, but I am in love with you. Always have been and always will be.
Jesse: Ok. Listen, I've got to go handle a situation, but I'll be right back, ok?
Bianca: Hey, Kendall. It's Binks. Zach said that I sure know how to make an entrance. And he was right, wasn't he? Enter Bianca, followed by a tornado, followed by -- you've got to hurry and wake up, Kendall, because you've got a brand-new niece to meet. And she's beautiful. And I need you to help me pick out a name. I want to have a whole list before Reese gets here. I know I haven't told you a lot about Reese, but you're going to love her. She's so smart and funny and gorgeous, and -- I just know that when you meet her, you'll understand why I wanted my family to grow and why I asked Zach to help me.
J.R.: Our wedding rings.
Taylor: I sure could use some coffee. I think you could, too. Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. Hi, Dr. Martin.
Joe: Hello, Taylor.
Joe: Jake. I spoke to the anesthesiologist and the rest of the surgical team. What were you thinking, continuing the operation with the power out?
Jake: I was trying to save her life. Dad, she seized. That has nothing to do with the power going out.
Joe: Yeah, well, it doesn't matter. You didn't follow procedure. You took excess risk continuing under the circumstances. You made a mistake, son.
Greenlee: Are you ok?
Aidan: Yeah, it was a bit of a pain. I was just helping patients out of the damaged side of the hospital. Kept forgetting it was broken.
Greenlee: Always the hero.
Aidan: What are you doing in here? Whose baby is that?
Greenlee: Long story. She's here in Pine Valley. She was with Kendall when the tornado hit the beach house. Zach ended up delivering this little girl.
Aidan: Wow. Where's Ryan?
Greenlee: He's, uh, with Annie. Emma's missing. Annie's looking for her. I'm -- I'm worried about them, but, mostly, I'm, uh, I'm worried about Kendall.
Aidan: I heard she's in surgery.
Greenlee: Yeah. She's in the ICU now, and she won't wake up. They think it may be a coma.
Ryan: He's been hiding out in this room in the Chandler tunnels, Jesse.
Annie: See? I was not imagining this.
Ryan: Ok, he has taken Emma before. You understand? He tried to make Dixie believe that it was her lost daughter. You can ask Tad, ok? You can ask anybody in town how twisted this guy is.
Jesse: All right, all right, all right, all right, I believe you. Calm down. Listen, I'll put the word out. We'll bring him in.
Annie: Thank you.
Ryan: It's going to be ok.
Annie: I can't believe about Babe.
Ryan: I know. And, um, I'm sorry that I didn't believe you that -- that somebody was after you. I'm sorry.
Annie: Cell-phone service must be back. Did you leave me a voice mail?
Ryan: No. Who called you from the penthouse?
Emma: Hi, Mommy. I'm home.
Bianca: Sleep, my child and peace attend thee all through the night guardian angels God will send thee all through the night soft the drowsy hours are creeping hill and vale there slumber sleeping I my loving vigil keeping all through the night
Frankie: I just heard. The emergency vehicle that your mother was riding in, there's been an accident.
Natalia: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Jesse: No, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. It's not your fault. You just need to get your rest, all right? Get better. This is all going to work out. I promise you.
Greenlee: She's beautiful, isn't she? Shh, it's ok, it's ok. You can sleep. It's ok.
Aidan: This is how I always imagined you.
Nurse: Mr. Martin?
Nurse: Have you -- have you seen Dr. Martin? Your father?
Tad: No, why? Is somebody -- wrong? Wait, wait, wait. Are you sure?
Tad: Ok, I'll find my father. Just call security. Make sure they lock down the building, all right?
Tad: Thanks, Kathy. J.R.? It's Babe. Somebody's taken her body from the morgue.
David: I came as soon as I found out J.R. was pulling you back in. Just wasn't soon enough. I'm sorry, Babe. I failed you. And now I've lost you for good. He finally did it. He finally killed you. But I swear to you, darling, they're going to pay. They're all going to pay for what they've done to you.
Adam: I -- I'm looking for J.R. Chandler. Have you seen him?
Doctor: Yeah, sorry, pal. You have to have to check at the admittance desk.
Frankie: We've got another batch coming in, a four-car accident involving emergency vehicles. At least four injured. One critical.
Doctor: What kind of emergency vehicles?
Frankie: At least one ambulance that I heard of. There may some of our own coming in.
Adam: An -- an ambulance? Who was on board? Did you hear?
Frankie: Yeah, Erica. She may be one of them.
Paramedic: We lost her on the way here. Should we take her to the morgue?
Adam: Erica. Oh, my God.
Annie: Emma? Emma, sweetheart, where are you?
Annie: Ryan? Oh. What does is say?
Ryan: "Don't go to the police, or your child will die."
Zach: A mistake? I'd say you guys sure made a mistake. Huh?
Jake: I did everything I could to help her.
Zach: Help her? It's nothing to do with Kendall. It's all about you. Hot-shot doctor tries to pull off miracles. Only this time it didn't work, and Kendall had to pay the price.
Joe: All right, enough, Zach, enough.
Jake: Excuse me.
Zach: I'm talking to you.
[Taylor screams as she falls down the stairs]
