Frankie: Are you sure?
Randi: Yeah. I just -- I need you to know that I'm not ready --
Frankie: I know. I know. I don't want to live with you for sex, Randi, I -- just you.
Randi: So, we're really going to do this, huh?
Frankie: Uh, looks that way. Man, we finally have an entire place to ourselves, you know?
Angie: Knock, knock. Frankie, Randi, I'm not interrupting am I?
Jake: This isn't, uh, well, no actually it is, it's exactly what it looks like.
Taylor: Nice outfit.
Amanda: Uh, the jacket, I know. I'm so sorry, I saw it in your stuff. I thought it would be fun to --
Taylor: You thought it would be fun to mock the military? And everything it stands for?
Taylor: Soldiers wear that while they fight. They're risking their lives. They're, they're dying to protect this country, to protect you, Amanda.
Jake: Yeah, all right, all right, all right, come on, let's just take it easy, ok?
Amanda: I didn't mean to upset you.
Taylor: What do you care? What do you care about any of that nonsense? You're too busy playing. Always playing dress up on your fancy yacht.
Jake: Look, she didn't mean anything by it.
Taylor: That's a real uniform. Obviously, I've interrupted your moment. I'll let you get back to it.
Colby: Oh, my God, I'm sorry. I didn't see that. I'm out of here.
Erica: Adam, you said we were alone.
Adam: Did I?
Erica: Well, next time I really would appreciate some warning.
Adam: All right, all right, incoming.
Erica: No, I don't think so.
[Knocking on door]
Kendall: Were you expecting someone?
Aidan: You honestly don't think that seven walk-in closets is too much?
Greenlee: No, actually, I don't.
Aidan: Ok, then, seven it is.
Greenlee: That's why you're the man of my dreams.
Amanda: I thought it would be cute, fun, sexy.
Jake: Well, but wait, wait, listen, look at me. It was, it was, it really was, it was all of those things. Oh, no.
Amanda: What, what does that mean?
Amanda: What, you're freaking me out?
Jake: This is not Taylor's jacket. This is Monroe, her fiancÚ, Broughton Monroe.
Amanda: Oh, ok, hold up. Taylor's engaged?
Jake: Well, she was. The guy died last year.
Amanda: Oh, my God, I was using her dead fiancÚ's uniform as foreplay. Can you imagine what she thought when she saw us like that?
Adam: You didn't seem to mind earlier.
Erica: Well, that was before Colby came running in. Look, maybe you should explain.
Adam: Explain what? That we were enjoying each other's company?
Erica: Is that what we were doing?
Adam: Well, unless you were here for some other reason.
Erica: Well, no, just you.
Adam: Good, Colby's gone. So, why don't we finish what we started?
Erica: No, I think that the moment has passed us by, Adam.
Adam: We could always rekindle the moment if we want to.
Erica: Next time. I really should go, but thank you. Thank you for a lovely date.
Adam: Thank you for an even lovelier kiss. Till next time.
Kendall: I can't believe you invited her over here.
Annie: Actually, I was the one who called Zach. I was freaking out about losing Emma.
Kendall: The little girl is being torn all over the place. She's being dragged over to Ryan's and the Chandler's and now here. She needs some stability.
Annie: Stability? Right, like having Greenlee, a virtual stranger, tuck her into bed last night?
Kendall: See, are you listening to this? She knew Greenlee was over her, because she was outside watching us, probably lurking in the bushes.
Annie: No, I was making sure that Emma was ok.
Kendall: Excuse me. This woman should be nowhere near children.
Zach: Emma's scared. She needs her mom.
Annie: Almost as much as I need her.
Aidan: How are you doing, Ryan?
Ryan: Hey. Drinks? I'm buying.
Aidan: That's not necessary. Thanks, though.
Ryan: So, what are you guys up to?
Aidan: We're celebrating.
Ryan: Really? Well, that's a bit of a coincidence because so am I. Getting a divorce.
Greenlee: We know.
Aidan: Annie told us.
Ryan: Good news travels fast, huh?
Greenlee: She said you want full custody of Emma.
Ryan: And I'm going to get it. I have to get it.
Greenlee: Should we grab a table?
Ryan: No, why don't you guys stay? Honestly, just stay just for one drink. It's the least that I can do after what you did for me in the police station.
Aidan: Don't worry about it, Ryan. Greenlee filled me in.
Ryan: Good, well, I'm glad. I mean, she was a Godsend. I would probably still be in jail if it wasn't for you. I'm glad you filled in Aidan.
Aidan: My wife and I don't have any secrets.
Ryan: I wish I could say the same for mine. I really just have to keep reminding myself that, you know, things could be worse. It's not like I'm completely in it alone.
Ryan: Greenlee, I know what you're going to say, ok? And I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I acted like a total ass when I told you to stay away.
Greenlee: That's not what I was going to say --
Ryan: I think I was just a little revved up after the police station, you know, and I just need to take some time to think, some time to figure some stuff out.
Aidan: And how is that working out for you?
Ryan: Not very well, actually. But I still consider myself lucky, even though my family may be falling apart. I have friends. I have good friends.
Greenlee: Ryan, there's something I have to say.
Annie: I think I'm being watched.
Zach: Being watched by whom?
Annie: I don't know. I haven't gotten a good look at him. It just, it started with me feeling like someone was outside the mansion looking in.
Zach: Anybody else in the house see somebody?
Annie: No, just me.
Zach: Well, you're under a lot of stress. Maybe your mind is playing tricks on you.
Annie: No, no, Zach, this is real.
Kendall: Oh, see, Emma, I told you you had --
Annie: Come here, give me a hug. Oh, hugs and kisses, oh, I missed you. Oh, I missed you, I missed you, I missed you. Have you been having fun with Spike and Ian?
Zach: Yeah, she's the best big sister ever.
Annie: Of course, she is. Come sit with your momma. I've missed you, baby girl.
Kendall: This visit needs to be supervised.
Zach: I'll be in the house, right here. They just need some space, that's all. No one's going to hurt that little girl.
Annie: Yes, that's what you are.
Angie: Sweetheart, I thought you might need some of this stuff from home. I mean our home, Jesse's and mine. I know that this is your home now.
Frankie: Real smooth, Mom.
Angie: What? Look, it's going to take some getting used to, ok? So, just cut your mom some slack, will you? Place does look great, though. What do you think, Randi?
Randi: I think it's awesome. I think it's perfect for Frankie.
Angie: Yeah, it's pretty big, too. You know, you could even fit in a roommate if you wanted to cut down on cost.
Frankie: Well, yeah, actually, I was giving a great deal of thought about that and --
Randi: Um, Dr. Hubbard, do you think that you could take a look out of the window in the bedroom? Frankie didn't know if he should get blinds or curtains, and I know nothing about decorating, so --
Angie: Ok, all right, just point me in the right direction.
Randi: Yeah, it's right through there.
Frankie: What was that about?
Randi: You know, this is just, this is all too soon for me. And this is too much. I'm sorry, I've got to get out of here.
Frankie: Wait, wait, wait, don't leave like this, please.
Randi: I can't move in with you. I'm sorry.
Angie: Sweetie, I'm going to need a tape measure. Where's Randi?
Frankie: She left.
Jake: There's no way you could have known that.
Amanda: Still, I need to find Taylor and apologize. Tell her she can use me for target practice, or something.
Jake: That's what I was going to say. Why don't you just take a deep breath and you stay here, ok? And I'll go look. I'll go look for her and talk to her.
Amanda: But I'm the one who messed up.
Jake: I understand that, but I'll tell her you're sorry, all right? I just don't want her to feel anymore uncomfortable than she already does. Make sense?
Amanda: Ok, I'll stay here in case she comes home.
Amanda: So much for our sexcellent celebration.
Jake: Sexcellent, nice.
Amanda: I just came up with that. You like?
Jake: Yes, very much, sexcellent. All right, so when I get back we'll pick up with um, with what you said, ok?
Jake: All right.
Amanda: In case you forget.
Jake: Yeah, that's a kiss you can't forget. I'll be back, don't worry.
Opal: Oh, oh, come on in, gal pal.
Erica: Opal, what's wrong?
Erica: What happened?
Opal: Oh, nothing yet, but it's coming.
Erica: Oh, your cards.
Opal: Yeah, it all started with a reading I did for the Carey women.
Erica: Oh, well, no wonder it spelled out disaster.
Opal: No, no, it's not just for Krystal and Babe, Erica. This is for all of Pine Valley, something deep, something dark and terrifying is coming this way and nobody, I mean nobody is safe.
Erica: Well, maybe your cards were mistaken.
Opal: Don't I wish, but I have done the reading over and over again and every time it comes out the same way. That this big, black cloud is heading this way and once it hits, nothing -- life as we know it will never be the same again.
Erica: There is a certain change in the air. I mean, some uncontrollable energy.
Opal: You feel it, too?
Erica: Yes, uh, I mean, it certainly would explain why I just kissed Adam Chandler.
Opal: You what? You, you, what on earth could ever possess you to kiss the likes of him?
Erica: Well, first of all, he kissed me. And second, Opal, there's no reason for you to get so worked up about this. I mean, I'm not interested in Adam. I'm just spying on him.
[From the staircase, Pete eavesdrops on his mom and Erica]
Colby: Is it safe to come in now?
Adam: It was safe earlier.
Colby: Speak for yourself, my eyes are still bleeding.
Adam: Don't be ridiculous. There was nothing to see.
Colby: Totally, if nothing means sucking face with Erica Kane.
Erica: Ok, Opal, this has to be confidential.
Opal: Well, yeah, my lips are sealed.
Erica: Babe told Kendall that Adam has his sites set on Fusion.
Opal: That slithering snake. Oh, so you're going to use your charms on the snake?
Erica: Every one I have.
Colby: The shock has worn off. I'm ready to discuss. So, what's the deal? Do you like her? Maybe even like her like her?
Adam: It was nothing more than a meaningless kiss.
Erica: It was a sacrifice I made for my daughter. End of story.
Opal: I don't know, sounds more like the beginning of a story to me.
Colby: Meaningless kiss? They don't exist. You kiss someone because you like them, don't you? Because you want to feel closer?
Adam: That's one reason, yes, yes, but you could also use a kiss to obtain information.
Colby: You laid one on Erica to test her?
Adam: Her sincerity, oh, yes. And I -- I got just the answer I suspected.
Erica: It didn't mean a thing.
Opal: Oh, my pedicured foot. Come on, a kiss is the most intimate of acts, Erica. It's a surrender. It's the moment when two souls merge together as one.
Erica: Opal, don't you think you're going just a little bit overboard? I mean, with the right person --
Erica: A kiss can be all those things. Full of hate and lust and uncontrollable passion.
Opal: Oh, oh, oh, thank goodness it's just Napoleon.
Adam: Dust, look at this. This house is a mess. Where in the hell is Carmen? Carmen?
Colby: You gave her the day off, remember? That meaningless kiss, it kind of messed with your head, huh?
[Colby laughs and walks out]
Randi: Hey, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the Chandlers'?
Carmen: Silver Bullet gave me the day off. I know that look. Sit down. What's going on with you?
Randi: Frankie asked me to move in with him.
Carmen: The L-bomb and a new crib all in one week? Nice.
Randi: I said no.
Carmen: Well, how come? Is it because of that sex thing?
Randi: Yes, that's part of it. I mean, it took me so long to even kiss him.
Randi: It's too intimate. I didn't have to deal with any of that with my old job. Don't say it.
Carmen: I have to. I hate that you felt like you had to turn to that, to selling yourself.
Randi: Look, sometimes you do what you got to do.
Carmen: Well, you shouldn't have had to do that. I kick myself for leaving you.
Randi: That's the past.
Carmen: Is it?
Randi: Well, I'm not a hooker anymore.
Carmen: That's exactly what I'm saying. And Frankie's not a client. And you're not a --
Randi: And that's what's making it so hard for me. I've been on autopilot for so long. Say this, wear that, feel nothing. This is, it's all new to me.
Carmen: But you, I mean, you and Frankie kiss now, right? And you want to have sex.
Randi: I want to make love to him, but when I go there, I just, I freeze. I don't know how to make it ok.
Angie: Did you and Randi have a fight?
Frankie: Can we just drop it, please?
Angie: Look, hold on, all right, because maybe I can help. So, what did Randi do?
Frankie: What did Randi do? Did you even think to call before you came barging over here? No, didn't think so. God, I move outside of the house to do my own thing, Mom. Have my own life.
Angie: I'm not trying to stop you from having your own life.
Frankie: A simple heads up, a simple call, that's all I'm asking.
Angie: You know, if you and Randi are going through something, don't take it out on me.
Frankie: This ain't about Randi, this is about you. Stop interfering with my life.
Kendall: So, did you pat her down for guns?
Zach: Come on.
Kendall: No, no, come on, can you please just admit that she's completely lost her mind?
Zach: She's a good mother. Let her have that.
Zach: Wow what?
Kendall: You, bending over backwards for Annie with kindness and generosity and understanding.
Annie: There's been a misunderstanding, sweetheart, and Mommy is really busy trying to fix it, so in the meantime, I'm going to have Zach and Kendall look after you.
Emma: I want to go home.
Annie: I know you do, angel, and you will soon.
Greenlee: Remember the night of the Bella party when we were all on the rooftop?
Ryan: Yeah, yeah, that was the night Aidan told me to stay away from you.
Greenlee: We had a fight after we left.
Ryan: I sort of saw that one coming, yeah.
Greenlee: Aidan asked me to stop being friends with you, and I told him he was wrong, but I realize now that he was right.
Greenlee: And you were right, too, Ryan. I mean, you and me friends? It will never work.
Ryan: Greenlee, I was a complete mess when I said that.
Greenlee: But you're still right. We can't keep doing this. You push, I pull, then we decide to do what's right and keep our distance, but it never lasts. We always find our way back to each other and somebody gets hurt. So, not anymore. You pushed me away, and I'm staying away for good.
Colby: Oh. Don't you ever show up and ring the doorbell like a normal person?
Pete: Is your dad around?
Colby: Why do you want to see my dad?
Pete: I don't. You know, I, um, overheard my mom talking to Erica.
Colby: About the kiss?
Pete: You know?
Colby: I saw. It was beyond beyond.
Pete: What do you make of it?
Colby: According to my dad, it was some freaky power play to get info out of Erica.
Pete: Do you believe him?
Colby: Yeah. Not every kiss has to mean something.
Pete: My mom says there's no such thing as a meaningless kiss.
Colby: Your mom also thinks a deck of cards can tell her the future.
Pete: She's right about that stuff.
Pete: Sometimes. She says a kiss gives us the power to see what somebody else is thinking.
Colby: A window to the soul? Please.
Pete: You honestly believe it's possible to kiss someone and not feel anything?
Colby: I know it is.
[Colby sighs after she kisses Pete]
Colby: So, what was I thinking?
Pete: Well, at first, you were proving a point. Then you relaxed into it and ended up surprised.
Colby: Surprised? Of what?
Pete: Every time you kiss me, you like it a little bit more.
Colby: You're so off base. Don't act like you know me, ok?
Pete: Why not? I do.
Jake: Well, wow, look who's on my porch. Ahem. Would you jump over the railing?
Taylor: I like it out here. It's peaceful, it's quiet. It's not silent.
Jake: Yeah, well, you know, wait till the crickets and the bull frogs get going during mating season.
Taylor: Won't bother me. It's the silence I can't stand. That moment of absolute stillness before everything explodes. I'm sorry.
Jake: You're sorry?
Taylor: For freaking out on you guys.
Jake: I understand.
Taylor: I know you understand, but Amanda doesn't, or she didn't, unless -- did you --
Jake: I did, but I hope, I mean -- I told her --
Taylor: No, it's fine. I totally get that you had to tell her, because she didn't understand, and I feel bad, because I like Amanda, so would you just, when you go back and see her, would you just tell her I'm not mad or anything.
Jake: Oh, of course, I will, and she'll be glad to hear that, because she feels awful, and she didn't mean anything by wearing the, you know -- and she doesn't know about your fiancÚ and she didn't know and trust me when I tell you, she feels awful.
Taylor: Everybody feels awful and nobody understands. Well, nobody except you.
Carmen: I do know what it's like to be scared. Love is crazy scary, Randi.
Randi: That's not what I'm scared about.
Carmen: Are you sure about that? What if this is just an excuse, a way to keep from getting close?
Randi: So? What's wrong with that? Better I keep my distance than fall in love and have Frankie leave.
Carmen: Who said anything about leaving?
Randi: Everybody leaves, Carmen. Real families, foster families. You.
Carmen: I'm here now. And some people are for real, Randi. And a lot of people stay. I think you should give him a chance. I think Frankie's for real.
Angie: You know, when I look at you, I don't just see a strong, confident man. Uh-uh. I see my little boy sucking his thumb, dragging his Bambi blanket behind him.
Frankie: Hey, hey. If you whisper one word of that to Randi --
Angie: Shh. All right, listen. I know that I've been up in your business a lot lately, probably more than I should.
Frankie: Ahem. Ahem. I'm sorry.
Angie: Stop it. All right, more than I should. So I'm going to make a sincere effort to step back and -- and give you some space.
Frankie: Oh. Please try harder. Hmm.
Angie: Well, your mom here -- you're going to have to give a little, too, and understand that even though I have been in your business, I'm never going to apologize for being a mother, because it's my proudest accomplishment and my biggest joy, and a job I will always take very seriously.
Frankie: Fair enough. But the bulk of that job, Mom, that's over.
Angie: It will never be over. Because anytime my child's safety is at risk, physical or otherwise, you better believe that I'm going to do something about it.
Zach: You want to read Spike a story?
Zach: You can wear my choo-choo hat. Where is my choo-choo hat? I'll find it. Come on.
Annie: Thank you, too, Kendall. I can't tell you how comforting it is to know that Emma's safe here. Things have just been really hard lately.
Kendall: Oh, save it, save it. Honestly, Annie -- I don't want to hear some sob story about the nightmare you created. Please. Please.
Annie: Does it matter at all that we used to be friends?
Kendall: Um, yeah. You know, I thought that we were friends, because I thought I knew you.
Annie: You know what? Think what you want. I'm just telling you I'm grateful.
Kendall: Well, don't be. I didn't take in Emma for you. I did it for Ryan.
Annie: Of course, you did, because it always goes back to Ryan, and the fact that I'm not good enough for him.
Greenlee: If you need a shoulder to cry on, try Kendall. If you need help with Emma and Spike, go to Tad. If your divorce gets complicated, my dad's always around. I just -- it can't be me. Right? Why am I the only one talking here? I mean, you agree with me. Say something.
Aidan: Greenlee, this is between you two.
Greenlee: No -- it has everything to do with you. You're my husband, I love you, and I want to be with you now, always. I'm happy.
Ryan: And I was always clear on that.
Greenlee: Well, then maybe I'm the one that needed the refresher, but I have it now. I have a life, Ryan, I can't take on yours, not anymore.
Adam: Colby? Oh.
Pete: Colby went upstairs to her room.
Adam: What are you doing here?
Pete: Reporting back, C-man.
Adam: Reporting back on what?
Pete: I know why Erica Kane let you kiss her.
Adam: I -- let -- let me? She practically begged me for it.
Pete: She knows you want Fusion.
Adam: What? How?
Pete: Babe told Kendall, Kendall told her mom.
Adam: I should've known that woman wasn't to be trusted, that trailer trash. She probably ratted me out to cover her own screw-up.
Pete: What are you going to do? This is a real problem.
Adam: What, Erica? No, no. At most, she's an inconvenience. I can run rings around that woman -- and that ridiculous daughter of hers.
Kendall: You're not good enough for Ryan. He deserves way more than some crazy, unhinged maniac for a wife.
Annie: So you think I'm just making all this up? You've never lied or schemed your way out of anything, right? Are you joking?
Kendall: Ok. First of all, I've never used my children as bait to hang on to my husband. Second, I've never invented abuse. That little lie you pinned on Ryan -- that was wrong.
Annie: You know, my God, Kendall. Question for you -- what would happen if you couldn't control everything and everyone around you? What would happen? My guess -- you'd fall apart.
Kendall: Don't try to psychoanalyze me.
Annie: Everyone in this town thinks that I'm the crazy, obsessive one when in reality -- you'd better tighten your grip, Kendall, because the person about to fall off the edge isn't me. It's you.
Greenlee: I only want good things for you, Ryan. I'm not doing this because I'm angry.
Ryan: I don't think that you are. You do what you need to do, and I'm not going to get in your way.
Greenlee: I just -- it's -- it's just too much. It's too hard. I don't know how to break the pattern, and you and I both end up suffering because of it.
Ryan: The last thing that I want, Greenlee, is for you to suffer, ever.
Greenlee: Then you understand?
Ryan: If you ask me to, I will.
Greenlee: I'm asking. I can't be your friend anymore, Ryan.
Taylor: You know why else I like it here? Because this is the only place that I ever told his story out loud. So it makes me feel close to him.
Jake: Well, it's a lot of story to hold.
Taylor: I think about him all the time. I can see him. All I have to do is close my eyes and --
Jake: Or maybe you see him when you look at his jacket with his name on it. I have to tell you, I didn't -- I never saw the name on the jacket. I, you know -- you'd already left by the time I saw the name on the jacket.
Taylor: I didn't think that you did. You know, I thought about it afterwards, and I said, he would never do that.
Jake: I would never -- I would never do something like that.
Taylor: See, I shouldn't be here. I mean, not here. I should be in Iraq with my unit. Not seeing some psychiatrist. It doesn't get -- or even our little pushup contests. I guess it's --
Jake: I would like a rematch sometime. You know, there -- there's a valid reason why they don't want you to go back yet, a valid medical reason.
Taylor: This isn't about posttraumatic stress. It's not. What I saw over there? No matter how awful it was, I can get past that. I know I can. But I can't seem to get past -- the reason that I'm here is -- I miss him. I just miss him. A place that is so deep in me. I miss him.
Frankie: You're back.
Randi: She's gone. I mean, that's -- that's not why I left or anything.
Frankie: I know, and you're right. I shouldn't have rushed this whole thing. It was just --
Randi: Look, I want to be here. I want to be with you. I do want to move in with you.
Frankie: You sure? Because you don't have to. There's no pressure.
Randi: I know. I want to.
Taylor: What is it about you? Why do I feel that I can tell you anything?
Jake: I don't know, but I'm glad that you feel that way.
Taylor: When will I stop feeling this way? I wish -- I wish that there was something, anything that would make this go away.
Opal: Well, I have just looked every place I can think of. I don't know where that damn cat could be. Uh -- oh, Lord, love a duck. Don't tell me.
Opal: You are thinking about that kiss and don't you even try to deny it.
Kendall: What was that for?
Zach: Just to remind me how much I love you and what you mean to me.
Kendall: You need reminding?
Kendall: The thought of being without you --
Zach: What are you talking about? I'm right here.
Kendall: Now. But sometimes you're not.
Aidan: Greenlee, are you all right? Because if you're not, you didn't -- you didn't have to do that for me.
Greenlee: I didn't. I did it for us. We have our life, Ryan has his.
Zach: Doesn't matter how angry you make me and how frustrating you are sometimes.
Zach: All I have to do is kiss you, and I'm right back to where I was when I first fell in love with you.
Kendall: Well, then kiss me right now. Now.
Annie: Hello? Somebody there?
[Annie screams when someone grabs her from behind in the Chandlers' living room]
