Lew: Who cares what the story is? Anything that comes from your fingers is magic, Steve. You're the golden boy. Hey, let me hit up New York, and I'll get back to you on the deal. Ok? Ciao. Judy, you there? How did that hack get my cell number? Keep that idiot off my call list. Oh, got to run. Erica Kane's here. Erica.
Erica: Well, hello. You must be Lewis Roth.
Lew: Please, it's Lew, and it's an honor to finally meet La Kane.
Erica: Thank you.
Lew: You know, if someone had a feather, they could knock me over. Months in jail, and you come out looking like you've just stepped out of every man's dream. Absolutely spectacular.
Erica: Well, thank you, thank you, Lew. And congratulations to you on your new position.
Lew: Thank you. I'm jazzed. I've got a lot of big plans for the network. So, uh, talk to me, Erica. I am all yours.
Erica: Well, good, because I'm lonely, Lew. I miss all my millions of friends. I want them back.
Aidan: Good morning.
Greenlee: Good morning.
Aidan: What are you thinking about?
Greenlee: I'm thinking I've never felt as close to someone in my whole life.
Greenlee: All night long, you always hold on to me.
Aidan: That's because you're too tempting not to. I think going to sleep without having you here is -- just doesn't feel right. I love waking up to that beautiful smile of yours.
Greenlee: I have a lot to smile about. So much it's overwhelming. A husband who's damn near perfect.
Aidan: I'm sorry -- excuse me? Near perfect?
Greenlee: Perfection would be boring. You were amazing yesterday. Do you know how few men there are out there that would have done what you did for Ryan? After everything that's gone down between the two of you. Hugging him like you did, urging me to go and comfort him --
Aidan: Well, the man's in a lot of pain. He needs his friends. He needs you.
Greenlee: I need you.
[Zach and Kendall lie in bed, not talking]
Zach: Good morning.
Kendall: Just say it.
Zach: I just did -- good morning.
Kendall: You blame me. You blame me for Annie losing her baby.
Doctor: And I'm going to want to see you again in a few weeks, so just schedule through my office, ok?
Annie: I will.
Doctor: I'm sorry, Annie. I know this is a difficult time for you. You're going to be all right.
Annie: Thank you, Dr. Rydell.
Dr. Rydell: Ok.
Babe: Hey, how are you doing?
Annie: All checked out, ready to go.
Babe: How are you really doing, Annie?
Annie: I'm sad. I'm really, really sad.
J.R.: I'm so sorry, Annie.
Annie: Thank you, J.R. Honestly, right now I just want to get out of here and go home, and --
J.R.: You know, Ryan, I -- I don't think this is a good time.
Annie: It's ok. It's ok, J.R. Ryan and I need to talk.
Ryan: I, um, I know that we do need to talk. I just, um, I don't exactly know what to say, you know?
Annie: Maybe there's nothing left to say, Ryan.
Ryan: How are you doing? Are you -- are you all right?
Annie: I've been released. I'll be ok.
Ryan: Maybe I can take you back to Chandler's or something.
Annie: No, no, no, I'm -- I think it's best that I go back with Babe and J.R.
Ryan: I really wish that I could change things.
Annie: So do I.
Ryan: Annie, what about Emma? You know, she was so excited about the baby. What do we -- what are we going to tell her?
Greenlee: I can't stop thinking about Annie. When I had my miscarriage, everyone kept telling me how sorry they were. Sending me flowers, whispering about time healing things, walking on egg shells around me. But it was like they weren't talking about the death of a child, but more like it was a -- a disappointment. I guess because I wasn't very far along. I wasn't even showing. But they hadn't felt what I felt, the life that was growing inside me. I already imagined her face, you know? Her eyes and her smile and her little hands when they were big enough to hold little shopping bags. I hadn't just lost a hope or a possibility. I had lost someone that I had come to love. I couldn't go through that again. That's the reason I told you I didn't want to have kids. I couldn't go through that grief again.
Zach: I'm not blaming you for what happened to Annie.
Kendall: That's not what you said last night.
Zach: I wasn't accusing you of anything.
Kendall: You were so angry, Zach. I could hear it in your voice.
Zach: Of course, I was angry. A woman's in pain, she's in the hospital, and you just -- you couldn't leave her alone.
Kendall: I shouldn't have done that. I know. I was wrong.
Zach: It has nothing to do with that.
Kendall: But Ryan -- I mean, she -- she keeps playing Ryan. She's not going to stop. She is going to ride this for everything it's worth.
Zach: Can you hear yourself? The woman just lost her baby, and you can't give her an inch, can you?
Kendall: Not when my friends are being used. Not when Annie takes advantage of Ryan's good heart, and not when she just keeps going on and on -- Zach.
Annie: I'll take care of telling Emma when I get home.
Ryan: Maybe it's something that we should, you know, tell her together.
Annie: No. It's something I need to do on my own.
Ryan: Ok. I'm really sorry, Annie.
Annie: What are you sorry for, Ryan? I told you -- this is all my fault.
Ryan: No, no, no, stop. Don't say that. Ok, please, don't say -- this is not your fault. The miscarriage was not your fault, Annie. No matter what went on between you and -- no matter what. Nobody did anything to cause this, nobody.
J.R.: Whoa, wait -- hey, hey.
Ryan: What --
J.R.: I think we need to get her home.
Erica: I miss my audience, Lew. I mean, I know that the temporary hostess did everything she could to make it work, but she never really had a rapport with the viewers. And, as I'm sure you've noticed, that was reflected, of course, in the ratings.
Lew: Hmm, 48% drop since before you went away.
Erica: Exactly. So the sooner that I get back in that seat, the better it will be for all of us. I mean, look what happened with the ratings when I did my special from prison.
Lew: 30% jump back up.
Erica: There you go. So I -- I could be back in my chair as early as next week, and I have already started lining up this very, very special list of guests.
Lew: Of course, it's still 18% down from before.
Erica: Well, I'm sure you understand very well, you know, how -- how it takes a little time to recover an audience, and as soon as the audience knows that it's me who's back in that chair, then they're going to come back to my show.
Lew: 18% is 18%, Erica. I've got a new mandate to bring some cutting-edge, innovative programming to the network.
Erica: Oh, great.
Lew: I'm making changes, big changes. I just axed two other shows with a less drastic falloff than yours.
Erica: What are you saying, Lew? I mean, you can't possibly be thinking of canceling "New Beginnings."
Lew: It's show business.
Randi: This morning's email orders.
Amanda: Oh, yes.
Kendall: Morning. What's going on?
Amanda: Uh, well, Babe called. She's going to be late. She and J.R. are picking Annie up from the hospital. I assume you heard that Annie lost --
Kendall: Yeah, yeah. Uh, and since she's not going to be here for a few days, you and Babe are going to have to pick up the slack. So work it out amongst the two of you.
Kendall: Ok, so talk to me about Bella.
Amanda: We've got good news on a number of fronts.
Greenlee: Hey, guys. Hey.
Aidan: Morning, ladies.
Greenlee: Thank you for bringing me to work this morning.
Aidan: I already don't want to leave you.
Greenlee: I know. I love you.
Aidan: I love you, too.
[Knock on door]
Zach: Come on in.
Zach: Hey didn't expect to see you today.
Ryan: I kind of need something to focus on. I figured it might as well be work.
Zach: All right, well, they are still painting your office, but you can stay here and work if you like.
Ryan: All right.
Zach: Start with these, status report for the casinos, last five years.
Ryan: Perfect. This is exactly what I need. Thank you.
Zach: Let me know if you need some help.
[Ryan sighs then sits down and remembers]
Ryan's voice: Physical abuse? You -- you -- I didn't hurt you.
Annie: All you have done is hurt me. Ryan, just go away. Ah, ah --
Ryan: What is it? What -- what's happening? Annie, Annie, what is it? Is it the baby?
Annie's voice: You shouldn't be here. We're not your problem anymore.
Ryan: Annie, come on.
Annie: Just leave me alone. Oh, God. I can tell. I can feel it. Our baby's gone, isn't it?
Zach: Ryan. You want to talk about it?
Ryan: I went by the hospital today.
Zach: How is she doing?
Ryan: They released her. Um, physically she's going to be all right. She didn't want anything to do with me, which I'm, you know, I understand, considering I told her the marriage is over, but --
Zach: You both just lost a child.
Ryan: And I would love to find a way to really say goodbye to the baby, and I would love to do that with Annie.
Zach: What the hell are you doing here?
Babe: Are you sure you don't want to get into bed?
Annie: No, I'm going to wait for Emma to get back from your mom's.
Annie: I want to tell her as soon as possible. You two have been amazing, really, but I'm -- I'm sure you have work to get to.
J.R.: Would you like me to tell Lucretia to make you something to eat or --
Annie: No, I'm -- I'm fine. Thank you, really.
Babe: I'm going to be at Fusion, but you call me if you need anything.
J.R.: I'm going to meet up with my father, find out what the hell he's up to.
Babe: Do you think he would actually try to go behind our backs?
J.R.: I don't know. The more I think about it, the more I'm sure he's definitely up to something. I think he's going to try to snag Fusion out from under us.
Babe: Well, just because he agrees if Bella takes off, I can move up from within?
J.R.: I don't know. Just because he's Adam Chandler. But now's the time to find out. I'm going to see what I can pull out of him. Oh, and -- I'm sorry.
Babe: For what?
J.R.: For dragging my father into this run on Fusion to begin with. It was a bad move on my part, but I'm going to clear him out of the way. I'm going to clear this runway so you can have it all.
Babe: For us to have it all.
J.R.: All right.
Babe: Good luck.
[Annie hears a baby crying]
Annie's voice: Our baby, Ryan. It's our baby.
Ryan's voice: You've made me so happy. I love you so much.
Dr. Rydell: I'm sorry.
Emma: Mommy, Mommy.
Annie: Oh, I'm in here, sweetheart. Hey, you. Come here. Come here. Give Mommy hugs, hugs, hugs. Did you have a good time with Kathy this morning?
Emma: Yes, I helped change a diaper.
Annie: Did you?
Emma: Now I can help you be a mommy with our new baby.
Erica: Lew, you can't possibly be thinking of canceling "New Beginnings," not without giving it a chance with me back in the chair.
Lew: It's all about change. I've gone over all the research data, and there's one particular time when your ratings and your Q-score both meshed at a zenith on the graph.
Erica: I see. Well, when would that be?
Lew: When you and your ex were battling it out.
Erica: Oh, no -- I see where this is going. Lew, no, you see, um, Jackson and I are over, so there is no more relationship to explore.
Lew: Well, whatever happened to your "New Divorce?" My ex loved that show.
Erica: But, Lew, you said yourself that you were looking for innovative. So, I mean, Jackson and I are through, and he's not coming back.
Lew: That's a shame because the numbers and the focus groups all pointed to the fact that the sparks were still there.
Erica: Well, with all due respect, your research is outdated because those sparks have fizzled.
Lew: I'm sorry to hear that. But sweeps is coming up. Unless we can reach an agreement on how to stunt this show, I don't know how I'm going to be able to green-light you back.
Erica: Ok, let's get one thing straight. I don't need to stunt anything. I'm Erica Kane.
J.R.: Sorry I'm late.
Adam: No, it's all right. It's all right. I've been enjoying watching Erica show this suit just how far out of his league she is. Are you all right?
J.R.: Yeah. No, I don't know. I'm having second thoughts.
Adam: Oh, about, um --
J.R.: Babe's ability to take over Fusion from the inside. I love her. I just don't think she's got that ruthless gene. I think that's what it's going to take.
Adam: Oh, really?
J.R.: Which also makes me question her ability as she does run the place, and if she's going to be able to succeed.
Adam: What, are you thinking of giving up?
J.R.: No, no, I -- I am still convinced the place is a gold mine, and I want it. But how do I tell Babe that I've lost confidence? The last thing in the world that I want to do is hurt her feelings or question her business ability.
J.R.: Oh, I don't know. In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have muzzled you like I did. If anyone can pull out the rug from Greenlee and Kendall, it's you.
Adam: Maybe there's another way.
Kendall: Ok, uh, when you two are done sucking face, we've got work to do.
Greenlee: Ha, someone woke up on the bitchy side of the bed. I'll call you after lunch.
Aidan: Don't work too hard, ladies.
Kendall: Ok, bye. Ok, we done now? We done having fun? Ok, uh, so, uh, you said there is news on the Bella front.
Amanda: Lots. Ok, uh, first, this is the final bottle.
Greenlee: I like it. Simple but elegant.
Kendall: Yeah, it's fine. Ok, next?
Amanda: All right, uh, we need to pick one of these for the initial launch copy.
Randi: I like the one on the right.
Greenlee: Uh, yeah, I do, too. What do you think?
Kendall: I think it's between that one and this one. Uh, I'll think about it. What else?
Amanda: So we get our first shipment of Bella today, ready to send out to the press and store buyers.
Kendall: Good, good. Next.
Amanda: And we -- oh, thank you. Ok, best news for last. Orders have already exceeded our estimates -- five of the big chain stores want Bella something fierce. They haven't even tried it yet.
Greenlee: Awesome. Congratulations, you guys.
Kendall: Yeah, uh, well, I guess you and Babe really -- you put it all out there, didn't you? With orders like these, you are either going to strike it big or fall flat on your face.
Amanda: Well, I'm going for strike it big. There's just one problem. Uh, well, we would have to double our order from the manufacturer now to meet the demands.
Greenlee: High class problem.
Amanda: Yeah, I mean, I put in the money for the first round, but I'm all tapped out. So I can't afford to put any more cash in. Fusion would have to cover it. Are you guys ok with that?
Greenlee: Well, I mean, with orders like these, I don't see --
Kendall: No, no, not happening.
Emma: Mommy, are you crying?
Annie: Mommy's just sad, sweetheart. Oh, thank you.
Ryan: Hi, sweetheart. Hi, hi, honey. How you doing?
Emma: Mommy's sad right now.
Ryan: I know. I know, baby. I am, too. We'll tell her together.
[Music plays at the "Yacht Club"]
J.R.: What are you talking about, Dad? What other way is there into Fusion? Whatever it is, I'm not going to tell Babe about it.
Adam: No, you can't do that.
J.R.: Do what?
Adam: End-run your own wife. No, no. No, no. No, I think you should give her more credit than you give her. Now, look what she's accomplished already. She's -- and this is against Kendall and Greenlee's advice -- she's created a new product, she's finagled the financing, she's shown solid marketing skills. And here's the best. She's put herself in the catbird seat the moment it hits. I think she's going to make a name for herself here. So why don't you just stop second-guessing your gut instinct and have some breakfast.
J.R.: Oh, no, thank you. I have an early lunch with Babe. Thank you, Dad.
Adam: Glad to help.
J.R.: See you at home?
Singer: Time is always on our side don't be waiting for it I remember how you cried when you crashed into the wall
Singers: Couldn't take the chance
[After J.R. leaves, Adam continues watching Erica at the next table]
Lew: Ok, go with me here because I love your instincts. You're absolutely right. The Jackson thing's been done. Stick a fork in him already. But we play on the same format. Erica Kane's search for the perfect mate, life in the dating trenches. We run you through a series of co-hosts -- all great-looking guys who'd run down their grandmother to get a crack at you -- and then --
Erica: Excuse me. I'm not about to turn "New Beginnings" into some stupid dating show. Ok, Lew, I'll make a deal with you. You give me a chance to prove that I can get my ratings up to where they were, and I won't sic my fans on you with some nasty letter-writing campaign to your corporate masters demanding that they send you back to your mailroom job which obviously you just left.
Lew: Threats now? You're breaking my heart here, Erica. First of all, I haven't been in the mailroom for over two years now. Second of all, my corporate masters expect changes, big changes. I got that straight from the big guy's mouth.
Erica: Elton Pierce?
Erica: Well, then you obviously have not done your homework, Lew, because Elton Pierce and I have been friends for a long, long time. So, would you like me to call him and tell him that his boy wonder had the brilliant idea to become reality show pimp with one of his biggest stars and best friends? Or would you like me to tell him that you decided to lecture me on cutting edge when the name of my former award-winning show was "The Cutting Edge."
Lew: I'll give you through the end of sweeps.
Lew: I, um -- I got to run. I'll take care of the check at the front desk.
Erica: So nice meeting you, Lew.
Adam: Look at that poor sap scamper out of here. Well, now that you've had his manhood for breakfast, might I join you for a cup of coffee?
Amanda: What are you trying to do? I mean, Bella is turning out bigger than any of us imagined and now you're trying to kill it before it even has a chance?
Greenlee: And what's with you suddenly making unilateral decisions around here?
Babe: What's going on?
Amanda: Kendall won't finance our additional orders. She's trying to kill Bella.
Greenlee: Not if I have a say in it, which I do.
Kendall: Ok, will you -- will you stop? Please, take a chill pill, everybody. Put away your torches. You guys are so ready to jump down my throat. Now, the reason why I said no was because doubling the order would still put us in a bind.
Babe: You want to run that by me again?
Kendall: Anticipate success. When people find out that we have these five chains, the orders are going to start flying in. So, doubling the order wouldn't be good enough. We have to quadruple it. And hell yes, we're going to finance it. Approved?
Kendall: Good. Ok. Congratulations. Looks like you guys have a winner on your hands. You might even give Charm! a run for its money. Now, go to work. Get to work or we're going to screw it up.
Amanda: All right. You heard the boss lady. Let's get going.
Babe: Hey, has anybody checked to see if the first batch has come in yet?
Randi: Yeah, I did this morning -- nothing yet.
Babe: Ok. I'll go check again.
Amanda: To us all.
[Amanda and Babe chuckle]
Annie: Remember when we told you that the baby was growing in Mommy's tummy? Well, Mommy and Daddy are just sad, because the baby stopped growing. It got sick and God took it to heaven.
Emma: Now no more baby?
Annie: No, sweetheart. I'm sorry.
Emma: Will God take me to heaven, too?
Annie: No -- God, no. No, no, no.
Ryan: No, it's, um -- it's -- it's ok to feel sad. You want -- probably -- probably wondering -- probably wondering that, but that's not going to happen, ok? That's not going to happen. You're very, very healthy. Very, very healthy little girl, and you'll always have us. All right? Always. As -- as sad as we are that the baby's gone, we are so happy that you are here and that you're going to stay here with us. Do you understand? Yeah? How would you like to help Mommy and Daddy say goodbye to the baby? Would you like that? Yeah? On the way over here I stopped, and I picked out a little tree. And what I was thinking is I thought that maybe the three of us could just go to the park and -- and you know, right near the playground, and the three of us -- we could plant that tree together. And that way, we could say goodbye to the baby together, so that whenever we took you to the park to play, we could see the tree, and we could see how it's doing and say a little prayer up to heaven for the baby. Would you like that? Ok.
Greenlee: What's going on with you?
Kendall: Nothing. I just find it a little revealing that everyone thinks I'm out to cut throats -- that I would sacrifice the company that I love just to prove Babe and Amanda wrong.
Greenlee: Hey, don't do this.
Kendall: I'm not doing anything.
Greenlee: This is about last night, laying into Annie about faking her miscarriage symptoms.
Kendall: Look, I feel bad. I feel bad about everything, but I've moved on. I've had enough of that from Zach anyway.
Greenlee: I know he's not blaming you for what happened. None of us are, except for yourself maybe. It was a tough night all around for everyone, and everyone will get over it eventually.
Kendall: I seriously doubt I'll be taking romantic walks with Zach any time soon.
Greenlee: He'll get over it, too.
Kendall: Well, what about the fact that he's gunning for my brother? You think he'll get over that? You think I will?
Greenlee: Aidan took care of that -- got Josh away safely.
Kendall: Oh, yeah, Aidan. I feel so much better. Well, I'll never see my brother again. And as for Zach, he doesn't exactly forgive and forget so easily, especially because I hid Josh. I don't know. I don't know if things will ever be right.
Greenlee: Come on.
Kendall: This belongs on Babe's desk.
[When Babe's phone vibrates, Kendall picks it up and reads a text message from J.R.: "Dad's playing dumb about Fusion's takeover]
[Knock on door]
Greenlee: Got a second?
Zach: For you, always. How you doing?
Greenlee: Good. I, um, thought we might have a little chat about Kendall.
Zach: Go on.
Greenlee: I'm worried about her, the way that she's been acting.
Zach: How's she been acting?
Greenlee: Thanks. Mostly the usual -- trying to control the world, only this time I get the feeling it's affecting the two of you.
Zach: Kendall is Kendall.
Greenlee: That's it? Zach, she's your wife. Don't you think you should try a little harder?
Zach: What does that mean? I'm trying. I'm banging my head against the wall. I'm getting a headache from it. Plus, I've got to deal with this mess.
Greenlee: Are you blaming her for what Josh did to you?
Zach: No. I blame her for living other people's lives instead of her own.
Greenlee: Hmm. She's not the first person to do that, you know. I know what it's like. I mean, I came into town, I wanted everyone to bow to my will and behave the way I thought they should behave.
Zach: Well, you're not like that anymore.
Greenlee: No, because I found the doorway out.
Zach: So, where do we find the key for this secret doorway? What do we do?
Greenlee: Someone has to open the door for you. With me, it was Aidan. I didn't do it right away and it took a little time, but eventually I stepped through because of him, because of how happy he makes me.
Greenlee: Kendall must have heard us talking about her.
Kendall: Greenlee, where are you? We have a major crisis -- major. So, call me when you get this.
Babe: Well, there's no delivery so far, but -- where's Amanda and Randi?
Kendall: I sent them on an errand.
Babe: What's going on?
Kendall: This. This little message to you about your father-in-law and taking over my company. Care to explain?
Erica: Aren't you afraid I'm going to have you for breakfast next, Adam?
Adam: I gather from what I overheard that the network wants to pair you up with Jackson again.
Erica: Yeah, well, that little twit couldn't program his car stereo let alone a network.
Adam: Yes. Well, I, uh -- I guess if they want Montgomery, that couldn't be all bad. I mean, you could crawl back to him and beg him to come back to your show.
Erica: My shows have always exceeded on my own star power, thank you.
Adam: Yeah, yeah, and it might even -- he might even be willing to drop my housekeeper to make room for you again.
Erica: Ok, leave.
Adam: Ah. Well, then again maybe not. I'm -- listen, I've, uh -- I'm very good at reading your mind, and I'd really rather not have this in my lap.
Erica: Yeah, well, your lap hasn't seen any action lately, Adam. You'd think you'd be grateful for any attention it would get.
Adam: Well --
J.R.: What the hell are you doing?
Pete: Um, checking.
Pete: To see if your dad was in there or not.
J.R.: What do you want with my dad?
J.R.: Ok, let me get this straight. You snuck into my house to find my dad, but you have nothing to talk about.
Pete: I was checking to see if the coast was clear.
J.R.: To do what?
Pete: To see Colby. I wanted to take her out to brunch.
J.R.: There's a reason that the telephone was invented.
Pete: Yeah. She kind of changed her cell number after I texted her a few too many times. Uh, and I can't get past the housekeeper on that line, so I thought I'd just --
J.R.: Stalk her? You know, you need to get a clue, Petey Boy. Colby's not interested in you, but I am.
Pete: Excuse me?
J.R.: Why you're hanging around my father so much.
Pete: I try not to, actually. He yells a lot. But I do like your sister.
J.R.: If I find you in my house uninvited, things are going to get real ugly. You understand?
Pete: Sure. Sure. Just, uh, tell Colby I'll take a rain check.
J.R.: All right, get out.
Pete: You got it.
[Door opens and closes]
Kendall: You want to explain what J.R. meant in this message about Adam and the Fusion takeover?
Babe: It's -- I didn't want to say anything until we had proof, but J.R. and I have suspicions about Adam trying to make a move on the company. J.R. was meeting with him this morning trying to get Adam to admit it, but obviously he couldn't get any information out of him.
Kendall: Well, what makes you think Adam is interested in Fusion?
Babe: Well, the little things. You know, overheard conversations, questions about Bella, prodding for sales and marketing information. Like I said, it's -- it's all just suspicions. There's no proof, but J.R. is going to find out if it's for real. You know, he's on top of it --
Kendall: No, no, no. You know what? I want you to convince J.R. to back off. Now, I know how you feel about him, but I don't trust him with something like this. I will take care of this my way. Bye.
Zach: So, you and Aidan, that's working, huh?
Greenlee: Yeah, but you're missing my point. Kendall's not hopeless. I found my way. Maybe she just needs the same push.
Zach: You've been at the house. Nice place, right? Got a lot of money, two beautiful kids. Everyone's healthy. You know, I thought that would make her happy. I thought that would be enough. Maybe it's not.
[Knock on door]
Kendall: Oh, God.
Erica: Kendall, are you all right?
Erica: Well, what is it?
Kendall: God, where do I start? Uh, Annie lost the baby last night.
Erica: Oh, how awful.
Kendall: Yeah, and Ryan won't admit it, but he's a wreck.
Erica: And you?
Kendall: Well, I can't worry about them right now because I have my own crisis.
Erica: With what?
Kendall: Adam Chandler.
Adam: Yeah, what's up?
Pete: It's me. Pete. Cortlandt?
Adam: Yeah, I know. I have caller I.D., Pete. What's up?
Pete: I just made a vat full of Blast, and I found at that the first shipment of Bella is due at Fusion today.
Adam: Good work. Time for blast off.
J.R.: Hey. I was just trying to reach you. Did you get my message?
Babe: Yeah. So did Kendall.
J.R.: Oh, great.
Babe: I -- I tap-danced like crazy. I -- I ended up ratting out Adam trying to keep her from thinking that you and I had anything planned. I mean, God, J.R., what if I have screwed this whole thing up? Kendall knows that Adam is after Fusion.
J.R.: Just relax. This may just work in our favor.
[Music plays as Ryan, Annie, and Emma plant a small tree at the park]
