[Ambulance sirens]

Kendall: The only person I'm here for is Ryan. This whole thing is a complete sham.

Greenlee: You really think that Annie would pretend that there is serious a problem with her baby?

Kendall: Of course. How many times has she done this? Give me a break.

Zach: What do we know?

Greenlee: Nothing yet.

Tad: So how's the baby?

Jake: Thanks. Uh, I left Annie in perfectly good hands. You know, everything is fine.

Tad: Huh. I was surprised you left the hospital.

Jake: The Ob-Gyn showed up. I figured, leave her alone with Ryan, you know? I'm trying to, you know, get out a little more. What is that look? Wait, what is that?

Tad: No, no. It's just I barely recognize you. No, I mean, this is great. Here you are. You're sitting here enjoying a beer, relaxing at the bar. You know, it's unusual. It's nice to have my brother back.

Jake: Not, uh, you know, I'm getting there.

Tad: Dad even says you're thinking about sticking around Pine Valley.

Jake: It's just that I haven't, you know, purchased an airline ticket yet. Yet.

Tad: What's her name?

Jake: Why does everybody always assume that it involves a woman? Why? All right, yes, yes. There's a woman. Yes, all right?

Amanda: All right, tell me what you think.

Taylor: Wow, really nice. You have so many nice clothes.

Amanda: Are you sure you don't mind taking off while Jake and I have dinner here?

Taylor: No, it's no big deal, really. And, actually, I can find another place to sleep tonight, if you need me to.

Amanda: Oh, no, no, no. We just need a couple hours for a romantic meal. Once we retire to the bedroom --

Taylor: Ok. I got it.

[Amanda chuckles]

Amanda: You're not interested in Jake, are you?

[Door opens]

Angie: You can't keep avoiding me.

Frankie: There's nothing else to talk about. It's final. I have to go back to Iraq.

Angie: I have a way to keep you out of it.

Jake: I -- she's good. It's good.

Tad: That's all I get? "It's good, it's good. I'm a mover. I'm a playboy."

Jake: She -- what do you want from me, what?

Tad: Details, come on. Details. I myself have known several great women in my time.

Jake: Oh, jeez.

Tad: I don't want to brag, but the question here is what makes her great in your eyes? You know, is she -- she useful? Can she hotwire a car? Thank you. Nut?

Jake: Yes, you are.

Tad: Is she -- is she up on the latest techniques of foosball? Is she exceptionally bendy?

Jake: I'm not dating "Gumby." I'm just -- we laugh, you know?

Tad: Works for me.

Jake: We just have a good laugh. We laugh.

Tad: Laugh -- there you go. Thank you, that's good. Laughter is good.

Jake: Yes, and she's easy, you know? To talk to. Easy to talk to.

Tad: Another admirable quality in a mate.

Jake: Yeah, she's just -- it's -- she's spontaneous, and she's energetic, positive person, you know? Dad said to get out there and, you know, find some fun, and that's it. I'm just having some fun.

Tad: Wait. You're taking dating advice from Dad? He hasn't been on a date since the Bronze Age.

Jake: Yeah, I know, I know, and when he said, "Sow your oats, son," I thought that was a little gross, but I -- you know, you know, it wasn't bad advice, because I got out there, and we're -- we're having a good time. It's great.

Tad: You are sowing your wild oats. You play hide the bayonet yet?

Jake: Stop that. That is disgusting.

Tad: Yeah, she's into corporal punishment --

Jake: You are being truly disgusting.

Tad: No, I'm not. She's in the military.

Jake: No, it's not the Army girl. How do you know about the Army girl, Taylor? How do you know about her?

Tad: What do you mean, "How do I know about her?" Jesse told me all about her, about you -- you stuck up for her at the police station after she took on the pimp at the -- the Fusion party, right?

Jake: I don't really -- I barely know her, so --

Tad: Well, that's funny, because Jesse made it sound like you were very close to Taylor.

Taylor: I'm getting deployed. I don't have time for romance.

Amanda: Oh, I thought you didn't know when you were leaving.

Taylor: Well, it could be any day now, and when the papers come, I am gone.

Amanda: Ok.

Taylor: I mean, I'm going to war. The last thing I need is a guy distracting me. I don't know how long I'll be gone. What kind of an idiot would I be to get into a relationship right now?

Amanda: I didn't say anything about a relationship. I asked you if you liked Jake, and I still don't know the answer.

Frankie: I don't want a way out. I have to go back.

Angie: Says who?

Frankie: Me.

Angie: You know what? I don't believe that. Someone's been putting ideas in your head.

Frankie: I did talk to Taylor.

Angie: You know what? I knew it. You listen to me. If that girl has something to prove, you let her go ahead and not drag you along.

Frankie: Mom, we're both soldiers. We do have an obligation, and Taylor, she reminded me of that obligation. I made a commitment, and I have to honor it.

Angie: You did. You served, and now you're done.

Frankie: You know, if everyone in the military thought that way, where do you think we'd be?

Angie: Alive.

Frankie: They need us, Mom. The ones who are trying to get home and the ones who never will.

Angie: I want to show you something, some research I did.

Frankie: Mom.

Angie: Now, this is a study -- this is a study on soldiers who are designated medically unavailable for deployment.

Frankie: I'm not faking anything for a waiver.

Angie: Now listen. Some very common conditions are chronic orthopedic problems, bad back, knees, but there are a lot of others. Stomach, ulcers, asthma, poor vision.

Frankie: And when was this study done?

Angie: A few years ago, why?

Frankie: Because we are stretched so thin over there that injured soldiers are going back whether they're ready or not.

Angie: And you think that's wise?

Frankie: They're doing what they have to do.

Angie: Well, forget about them! I'm talking about you. Now, listen, if you would just work with me here, I can help you.

Frankie: I ain't trying to stay home with a note from my mother.

Angie: Franklin, would you please just hear me out?

Frankie: No, you hear me. Because you make it worse when you do this, especially when there are people out there, like Taylor, who can't get back fast enough.

Angie: I don't care what that girl -- look. Baby, some people are not in such a rush, ok? Now look. This man, this man right here, he did one tour, and then he hired someone to shoot him in the leg, so he wouldn't have to do another.

Frankie: Ugh, God, you know, this is insane.

Angie: And this man, this man, he stuffed himself with food, and he kept eating until he was over the Army's weight limit, and these men, these men right here, they -- they pretended that they were gay.

Frankie: You want me to lie?

Angie: No, I want to save your life!

Frankie: You're the one who told me, who taught me, how important it is to keep my word, to finish whatever it is I start, to be dependable, reliable, loyal.

Angie: And you are all of those things. Saying no to the Army won't change that.

Frankie: I volunteered, Mom. I volunteered. I can't back out now just because the war isn't in my -- it's not -- it's not convenient for me. It's not in my plan.

Angie: Well, I will not have my only son come home in a box!

Frankie: But me being over there can prevent other sons from coming home in a box.

Angie: Well, what do you tell me? That you won't even consider your options?

Frankie: There are no options. There aren't. This is the way it has to be, because if I can save just one life, one, it'll all be worth it.

Angie: And what if you can't? What if it's all for nothing? And what if it's my baby who doesn't come back?

Annie: I can't believe you're here. You were so angry.

Ryan: You hired a lawyer. You told him I was physically abusive to keep me away from my daughter.

Annie: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I can explain.

Ryan: I don't know if -- I don't know if you're trying to hurt me or trying to punish me, but I had no right to barge into your bedroom while you were sleeping like that. I -- I lost my temper, and I'm -- I'm really sorry. God, what if I --

Annie: How's Emma?

Ryan: I'm sure -- I'm sure Babe is taking good care of her.

Annie: I'm sorry I got so worked up. From now on, I will stay calm to keep you safe.

Doctor: Ok, the sonogram indicates that the fetal heartbeat is stabilized.

Annie: So -- so the baby's ok?

Doctor: Well, for now, but we're still waiting on the blood work.

Ryan: How long is that going to take?

Doctor: I'll see if I can get the lab to rush it. In the meantime, try to get some sleep.

Annie: Ok. So that's -- that's a good thing, right?

Ryan: Yeah.

Annie: Ok. Oh, would you mind calling to check on Emma?

Ryan: Sure, ok.

Annie: Ok.

Ryan: You get some rest, ok?

Annie: Yeah.

Ryan: I'll be back.

Richie: Hot damn, sis. This is going great.

Ryan: Is there -- is there anything else that I should know at all?

Doctor: I'll keep you updated.

Ryan: Ok, thank you.

Greenlee: Hi.

Zach: How is she?

Ryan: She's better, you know? I think it's important for us to -- to keep her really relaxed right now.

Greenlee: Hey, Annie's strong. Remember how hard she fought to protect Emma? She'll fight just as hard for this baby.

Ryan: Thanks. I'm going to go give Emma a call, check in on her.

Kendall: "Annie's strong. She'll fight hard." You kidding me?

Greenlee: At least I said something supportive.

Kendall: Do you see what's happening here? Annie is twisting Ryan into knots. We have to help him.

Greenlee: Leave it alone, Kendall.

Kendall: No, listen to me. Ryan's biggest fear was turning into his father. So what does Annie do? She puts bruises on her arm and points fingers at Ryan and tries to ruin his whole family. We've got to help him.

Greenlee: You want to help him? Stay out of it.

Kendall: I am doing everything I can to keep Annie from ruining Ryan's life, and what are you guys doing? You're standing around with blinders on, worrying about a baby that's perfectly fine.

Greenlee: You can't know that for sure. Can't you show a little compassion? Did you see Ryan's face?

Kendall: Yeah, I did, and that's the problem. Annie's ridiculous performance is working.

Richie: You are on fire.

Annie: Go away.

Richie: Talking to the baby? That was genius. Hello, baby! Oh, I thought Ryan was going to cry. Hell, I almost shed a tear myself.

Annie: This is real.

Richie: Oh, it's real, but who put you in this bed?

Annie: No one, it just happened.

Richie: Just happened. After you stole a gun and went to kill Greenlee.

Annie: Leave now.

Richie: Oh, you went up her fire escape like you were freaking Spiderman. You burst into her apartment. You point the piece right at her head. You had a clean, beautiful shot, but you just couldn't pull the trigger. You should've stuck with a lug wrench. You are great with a lug wrench.

Annie: Get out.

Richie: But somehow you get your sorry ass out of there, speed across town, get back to the mansion right in the nick of time --

Annie: I said get out.

Richie: All this running around and climbing up walls. Forget about the baby. It's a miracle you didn't die.

Annie: Shut up.

Richie: You shimmied up that drainpipe. Your heart is pounding. You're sweating bullets. It's all coming around on you. You almost get busted, but then it works out. The bambino comes through.

Annie: I love this baby.

Richie: You should love that baby. It's the only reason why Ryan's not running off with Greenlee into the sunset.

Annie: This child is a miracle. It's not a tool to hang onto Ryan.

Richie: That child is a Hail Mary pass. It's a desperate, pathetic, last-ditch move.

Annie: Go away. Ryan says I need to rest. I need to rest.

Taylor: I think Jake is interesting.

Amanda: So do you like him?

Taylor: I respect him. You know, Doctors Without Borders, that's pretty impressive.

Amanda: He hasn't really told me much about it.

Taylor: Oh, uh, me, either. Really, I -- I just think being over in that part of Africa and seeing what he must have seen --

Amanda: Like what you saw in Iraq?

Taylor: I think we've both had these really tough jobs that took us really far away from home, and I don't know too many civilians like that, so when I met Jake --

Amanda: You thought he was interesting.

Taylor: Yeah, but, really, we have nothing in common.

Amanda: Well, you both like push-ups.

Taylor: Seriously, I -- I don't get how his brain works.

Amanda: Jake is like one of the smartest guys I've ever met.

Taylor: Exactly, which is why I don't understand why he doesn't understand how important -- it doesn't matter. I am -- it's not my place to pick who Jake Martin would be with, but I can tell you this. I don't think it's me.

Amanda: You think it might be me?

Jake: Amanda Dillon. That's who I'm -- who I'm seeing, dating, kind of, Amanda Dillon.

Tad: She a little young for you?

Jake: A little young for you.

Tad: Spell it out.

Jake: She is uncomplicated. It is an uncomplicated situation.

Tad: Uncomplicated, Amanda Dillon? Have you forgotten her mother? Janet from Another Planet? She stuffed a guy in a freezer.

Jake: Why -- why do you have to -- why do you have to bring that up? Let's just -- you know what? Let's just chill.

Tad: Easy, easy, easy.

Jake: You know what, let's just change the subject.

Tad: Easy there, Dale. You know what? Ok, terrific. If you're happy, I'm happy, and I mean it.

Jake: I hate it when people say that, because they're not --

Tad: No, it's true. It's the truth.

Jake: Did I say it's going anywhere? You know, we're having a good time. That's all.

Tad: I'm just glad you're sticking around town, ok? Besides, if this thing works out, you know, we can see each other a little more. We can double. You and I will be at the bar. Amanda and Kathy will be at the children's table. Chief.

Jesse: Thaddeus. Joseph.

Jake: Hey, how are you tonight?

Jesse: You having dinner with your brother?

Jake: Well, no.

Tad: Yes, I'm buying. I'm buying if you stick around.

Jake: No, no, I'm leaving. I've got to pick up Amanda from cheerleading. See you later.

Tad: Go get 'em, tiger. Where's your date?

Jesse: She's not here yet? Well, I guess she's stuck at the hospital.

Angie: I don't care what you signed up for, and I don't give a rat's behind what anyone else thinks.

Frankie: You don't give a rat's behind about the men and women over there sacrificing and dying for our country?

Angie: Of course, I do.

Frankie: Sounds like to me you want them to sacrifice, and you want me to work my connections.

Angie: But you are my child.

Frankie: Mom.

Angie: You.

Frankie: Every soldier is someone's child, every last one of them. We have to be brave.

Angie: It is just as brave to stand up for what you believe.

Frankie: Tell me. What do I believe in?

Angie: I know this. You don't want to hurt your mother, and I'm telling you, Frankie, if you go back there, it will kill me.

Frankie: That's not fair.

Angie: No, it's not. But I will say whatever I have to say, and I will do whatever I have to do to keep you safe.

[Frankie sighs and walks to the door]

Angie: I will not lose my family.

[Door slams]

[Angie cries out loud]

Ryan: Emma is -- is fast asleep.

Zach: You look a little sleepy yourself. I'll buy you a cup of coffee. Come on.

Ryan: I -- I just can't get it right, man. I can't. I mean, maybe I don't -- I don't deserve them. Maybe -- maybe I just -- I don't deserve a family.

Kendall: Ryan is in agony because of Annie. She's evil.

Greenlee: Well, that may be true, but she's carrying his child.

Kendall: So what do we do? We -- we let her torture him and guilt him into staying with her?

Greenlee: It's not about her. It's about Emma and the baby. You know what being a father means to Ryan. He belongs with his kids.

Kendall: He doesn't belong with Annie.

Greenlee: It's not up to us. If he wants to keep his marriage together, it's his choice.

Kendall: But it's wrong, Greenlee. Why can't anyone else see that?

Greenlee: I just want Ryan to be happy.

Ryan: Greenlee miscarried, Kendall almost lost Spike, Annie and I had to fight like hell for Emma, and now we are fighting like hell for this baby.

Zach: Take it easy.

Ryan: What do all those kids have in common? Me, my blood, my genes.

Zach: You're not the reason we're here.

Ryan: If we lose this baby, it's a sign. It is. It's a sign that I was never meant to be a father.

Randi: Stupid thing.

[Elevator door opens]

Randi: You scared the crap out of me.

Angie: Oh, I'm -- I'm sorry. I -- I didn't mean to. Working overtime?

Randi: I'm trying to type this letter for Babe, and the damn page just keeps disappearing on me.

Angie: Well, you have to save the document, or else --

Randi: I've got it. What are you doing here anyway?

Angie: I need to talk to you about the situation with Frankie.

Randi: Oh, come on. Give it up already. Frankie and I, we're finally cool.

Angie: I'm not here about the two of you.

Randi: Then what?

Angie: He hasn't told you.

Randi: Told me what?

Angie: Frankie's been called back to Iraq.

Taylor: Ok, so when it's just you and Jake --

Amanda: Yeah.

Taylor: All alone.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: And he pulls you close to him, what do you feel?

Amanda: Hmm, heaven.

Taylor: Well, good. Good, then I -- I'm guessing you're probably a pretty good match.

Amanda: All right. Ok. Oh, no, oh, no.

Taylor: What, what?

Amanda: Ugh, I forgot the crab dip for the appetizers. Do you mind finishing up setting the table? It's not funny. If I -- if I run really fast to the store --

Taylor: No, go, go, go, go.

Amanda: Thank you, thank you. Ok, if Jake shows, just pour him a glass of wine. Tell him I will be right back to join him.

Taylor: Ok, but hurry.

Amanda: Ok, thank you.

Angie: I said everything I could think of to keep him from going, told him he has family, friends, doctors, all willing to help.

Randi: So now you're so desperate that you've come to the hooker to help you save your baby boy.

Angie: Randi, I know that we have had our differences.

Randi: Differences? A couple weeks ago, I wasn't even allowed to step foot in your house.

Angie: You care about Frankie?

[Randi answers silently]

Angie: Then we have to be a team on this.

Randi: Fine, but I don't get it. Why did he even decide to go?

Angie: He feels obligated, and now he's put up this wall that I can't break through. Maybe you can.

Randi: How?

Angie: Talk to him.

Randi: Talk to him? Just bring it up? He hasn't even told me anything.

Angie: Well, that might work in our favor. You know, maybe he's kept this from you, because you're the one person who might put a dent in his logic. If he doesn't tell you, then he doesn't have to listen to you asking him to stay.

Randi: How is this happening to me? I finally someone that I feel something, and --

Jesse: I just don't want my boy going back over to that mess.

Tad: I imagine by now you probably want to stick him in a box and hide him somewhere.

Jesse: You got a spare crate somewhere I can use? But, hey, I ask the men and women at the station to risk their lives every day. Well, how can I expect them to do their duty but not my son?

Tad: You kidding? If it was me and J.R. or Jamie?

Jesse: Well, they're grown men now. Can't ask them to live the way we want them to live, you know?

Tad: Yeah, we can try. I guess the upside is that with both Cass and Frankie gone, I mean, you do have a lot more one-on-one time with Angela. You got 20 years to make up for, man. What?

Jesse: Be right back.

Kendall: You don't want Ryan to be happy. You need him to be happy.

Greenlee: What does that mean?

Kendall: Well, if he makes it work with Annie, then he won't get in the way of you and Aidan.

Greenlee: Aidan is my husband. We're committed for life.

Kendall: Well, you made that decision before you knew that Ryan was in love with you.

Greenlee: Why are you stirring all this up?

Kendall: Ryan doesn't belong with that big bag of crazy, and you know it.

Greenlee: That big bag of crazy is the mother of his children.

Kendall: Ok, well, beneath the cookie-baking mommy, she's a maniac. Are you willing to just ignore that to -- to keep Ryan out of your marriage?

Ryan: Being accused of violence sent me back to a place that, honestly, I never thought that I would go to again.

Zach: Annie pushed every button to set you off.

Ryan: Annie was on bed rest. I mean, Joe put her on bed rest. She was asleep in bed next to my daughter.

Zach: Any father would've done the same thing.

Ryan: No, fathers are supposed to protect their kids, Zach. I hurt mine. Honestly, I hurt everybody that I love.

Greenlee: I'll always care about him, but he's not a threat to my marriage.

Kendall: No, not as long as he's chained to his mentally ill wife.

Greenlee: All those days you were in this hospital in agony, waiting to find out if Spike and Ian were ok, didn't you want positive energy around you? Can't you give Annie some peace?

Kendall: Why? She's done nothing but torture us.

Greenlee: That's not true. She's been a good friend and a -- and a loving stepmom to Spike.

Kendall: Yeah, before she snapped. Now she only has one thing on her mind. As soon as Ryan gets close to that door, it's "Oh, Ryan, oh, my goodness, the baby, the baby," and as soon as the kid's born, it's going to be the same thing. Now, listen. I get where she's coming from. I mean, if I thought I was losing Zach, I would pull the kid card in a heartbeat.

Greenlee: Not like that.

Kendall: My point is, I've been where she is, and so have you. We've both done some crazy things, but Annie is taking it to a whole new level.

Greenlee: I have to call Aidan.

[Kendall enters Annie's room]

Ryan: I can't deny it anymore that my father is, without question, he is a part of me.

Zach: Your father's long gone.

Ryan: I keep saying that, and yet, here I am. And I think it's just arrogant of me to think I can ignore where I came from, my past.

Zach: Our fathers did everything they could, you know, using fear and lies, belt buckles, anything just to keep us in line. They don't own us anymore.

Ryan: Yeah. Obviously, I can't change who I am, Zach.

Zach: The other night, I'm trying to put Spike in bed, and he won't go down, and, believe me, I tried everything. I tried reading to him. I tried singing to him. It didn't do anything, and I, you know, I offered ice cream for breakfast. Nothing, and then -- and then, I remembered something.

Ryan: The choo-choo hat. The hat. When all else fails, you've got to put the hat on.

Zach: Yeah. And it worked. Put it on, and he went right out, and you told me that. See? You're already changing history, and your kids are going to grow up with a father who knows every little trick to make them smile.

Ryan: Not if Annie keeps me from them.

Zach: Sometimes we all need a wake-up call. Look at Kendall. Before Spike, it was all about her. Now, slightly less about her.

Ryan: Do you honestly believe, though, that Annie will drop this?

Zach: Now we think we know everything, right? And then, something happens, someone happens.

Frankie: Everything ok?

Randi: Yeah, sure. Why wouldn't it be?

Frankie: Well, you called me over to your office at night. Wouldn't say.

Randi: Well, I wanted to surprise you.

Frankie: Now, this looks a lot better than hospital food.

Randi: Exactly. See, I figured since we're both working late, might as well spend our dinner break together.

Frankie: Hmm, that's an excellent idea.

Randi: I know.

Frankie: Wow, it's a cool setup you got here.

Randi: Thanks. This is my very own desk. Sit, sit, eat.

Frankie: Where did you get the chow?

Randi: Chow? What is that? Some kind of Army thing? Look, Frankie, I thought we were going to be straight-up with each other, no games.

Frankie: We are.

Randi: Then why didn't you tell me about Iraq?

[Frankie sighs]

Frankie: Because I found out the night Fletcher died.

Randi: So?

Frankie: So you're dealing with enough now. Plus, I haven't even made up my mind yet.

Randi: Yeah, but you have now?

Frankie: Yeah.

Randi: No, you're not going. I won't let you.

Frankie: This is something I have to do.

Randi: There are ways to get out of it.

Frankie: You talked to my mom? She told you?

Randi: It doesn't matter who I spoke to. Just tell me that you won't go.

Frankie: Hey, hey, try and understand this, please.

Randi: You said we found each other for a reason, and, yes, it took me some time, but I believe that now.

Frankie: We'll still be together.

Randi: The other night on Amanda's boat, you stood with me till I fell asleep, and you know what? For the first time, the next morning I woke up, and I felt like I really had someone I could count on.

Frankie: Randi, this isn't forever.

Randi: If you left, what would it do to your family?

Frankie: They'd be ok.

Randi: Well, then, think about what it would do to me.

[Taylor turns music on]

Rie Sinclair sings "Hold On Tight": Corners in my bedroom empty in the night wake up waiting for you to come home and I still believe in what we had more than just a dream even though the moon is shining perfectly but my heart is crumbling can I hold on tight to the memory of you and I?

[Beeping]

Kendall: You must be proud of yourself.

Annie: What are you doing in here.

Kendall: Worked out perfectly for you, didn't it?

Annie: Please, leave.

Kendall: Not until you hear what I have to say.

Frankie: I know I have plenty of good reasons to stay, real, legit, important reasons. My career. I'm getting to know my dad. You.

Frankie: But I can't.

Randi: Fine. Then we'll run away somewhere. We'll go to Canada.

Frankie: Come on, Randi.

Randi: Come on. I know this guy. He does fake passports, fake birth certificates. He'll hook us up with whatever we need.

Frankie: And what? Land us in prison?

Randi: No, no one will know. We'll run away. It'll be like in the movies. Look, new city, new life, new names.

Jesse: I saw a friend of mine. You know, the guy that offered me the gig at P.V.U.

Tad: So it was a false alarm?

Jesse: Yeah, but I got a call from the station. They need me to put out a fire.

Tad: Now?

Jesse: Uh, yeah. It won't take long.

Tad: Well, you're -- you're standing me up?

Jesse: Get out, Angie will be here any second, ok? Order another beer. I'll be back.

Tad: I'm not whining, go. Do the police thing. Please.

Jesse: Back in a few.

Tad: Yeah.

Kendall: It's all an act.

Annie: Get out of my room.

Kendall: You enrage Ryan so he comes after you, and then, oh, God, you get terrible cramps and have to be rushed to the hospital. You let Ryan die inside believing that this is his fault when really the child is fine and always has been. No, no. No, no. I want to hear you say it. "I am using my unborn child to trap Ryan." Forget that you tricked him into having this baby or that he'll be miserable for the rest of his life. You got your man. Say it. You want to win so bad. You want to beat me and Greenlee, but you can't. Want to know why? Because Ryan doesn't love you. He never did and never will.

Annie: You accuse me of hurting Ryan. You don't really care about him at all.

Kendall: What did the doctor say is wrong with you? Nothing.

Annie: That's not true. They don't know what's wrong yet.

Kendall: Ok, why don't you save them some time and just admit that you're faking it?

Annie: Ryan saw me in pain. He knows that this is real.

Kendall: You have Ryan turned upside down. He has no idea which way is up. But I do. I do. And I'm not falling for any of this. Neither is Greenlee.

Annie: Why can't you just stay the hell out of my life?

Kendall: Because Ryan is my friend and the father of my child. We care about him.

Annie: No, you don't. You want to own him. You want to dictate what he does. You want him to pledge his eternal devotion to you and Greenlee and no one else. It's sick.

Kendall: Oh, sick? Sick? You know what sick is? Sick is pretending you're on the verge of a miscarriage to hook a man who doesn't even want you!

Annie: How dare you! Get out of here! Get out of my room, Kendall! Give me that --

[Annie screams]

Kendall: No --

[Annie moans]

[Beeping]

Kendall: Please, give me a break.

[Annie moaning]

Kendall: Ok, ok, hold on. Ok, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Help! Somebody, please, help! We need help in here! We need help in here now! Please, help her!

Ryan: What -- what happened?

Nurse: Just lie back.

Ryan: What happened?

Kendall: I don't know.

Singer: Can I hold on tight to the memory of you and I? Can I hold on to you tonight and say good-bye?

[Jake walks in and stares at Taylor]

Frankie: I can't. And you can't leave Pine Valley. I mean, you're just beginning to turn your life around. New friends, new job. You don't want to leave all that behind.

Randi: You're right, Frankie. I love it here. But I'd give it all up for you. I'm serious. I won't let you go.

Angie: Hi.

Tad: Angie.

Angie: What is it with military?

Tad: You know what they say, got to love a man in uniform.

Angie: Oh, is that what it is? Clothes? You know, a letter comes in the mail, and boom, Frankie's on his way back to Iraq.

Tad: Your son has a very strong sense of duty, just like his old man.

Angie: Where is Jesse?

Tad: Oh, he got a call from the station, said got to do some cop thing. He said to have a drink, and he'd be back in a few --

[Phone rings]

Angie: Is that -- hmm, it's not me. Is it you? Oh, wait a minute. It's Jesse's cell. It might be the station. Hello? Hello? You know, that just keeps happening.

Tad: What?

Angie: Hang-ups. You know, we've -- we've had them at home and -- and some on Jesse's cell. You know, I'm starting to think that someone might be after my husband.

Zach: I saw your face when you came out of Annie's room. What the hell did you do?

Kendall: Nothing.

Zach: Just couldn't help yourself, could you? You had to accuse her, didn't you?

Kendall: Yeah. Yeah, I did. She's been lying about that baby from the beginning, and she's lying right now.

Annie: Oh, God. I can tell. I can feel it. My baby's gone, isn't it?

Greenlee: How could you?

Kendall: Someone had to.

Greenlee: It was cruel.

Kendall: Don't turn this around on me. I did the right thing.

Greenlee: You better pray that baby's ok.

Kendall: That's what you're doing, right? You don't care if Annie's faking it or not? As long as this kid lives, you're golden.

[Beep]

Doctor: I'm sorry.

[Annie cries on Ryan's shoulder]

Kendall: You would sentence Ryan to a lifetime of pain to keep your perfect, little one from falling apart?

Greenlee: My marriage is solid.

Kendall: When we found that letter that Annie was hiding from Ryan, you were right there with me, begging him to go. What changed?

Greenlee: I'm done talking about this.

Kendall: Listen, listen, I'll tell you what changed. What changed is you found out who Ryan really loves, and now you're shoving him back to that psycho, so you don't have to deal.

Greenlee: You are so wrong, it's scary.

Kendall: No, admit it. If Ryan came to you with all that love, Aidan wouldn't stand a chance.

[Annie crying]

Ryan: What did Kendall say to you?

Annie: It's not her fault. It's mine. I did this. All of it.

Ryan: No, Annie, no.

Annie: I loved you so much, Ryan, and I felt you -- I felt you slipping away and our life and our family.

Ryan: It's ok. It's ok.

Annie: No, no, you don't understand. I've done horrible things, and I've kept them secret, but now you need to know. I need to tell you everything.
